Hello friends. I have been directed here by someone on 4/co/. I'm looking to find scans of the Italian version of Skorpio magazine to help out the guy translating Cybersix. I THINK he has scans up to the end of Anno 16 so scans from 17 (ie: 1993) and on would be very very helpful for the project. If anyone can point me to where, that would be great. This is a thing I had on a "watch later" list for years, after discovering it on the Internet, which I finally got one day (and it was amazing). Apparently a really good composer wrote the score, as well as really quality songs. That was good enough to remember. So I watched it, and I liked it. Yes it's dated, but in a way I like. It came from a mind of a visual genius and a lover or classical music, and a man very much stuck in the 60s/70s, Mike Jupp. He put together a team and somehow managed to get funding tow make 2 seasons, and lucky enough to get commissioned for 2 more. Oh, and it's a show from Britain. The premise is that on a planet (just a planet) one half is the Land of Dreams (see: utopia) with little to no conflict and the residents getting pleasant dreams at night from a wizard, and the other side being the Land of Nightmares (clever name) with a population being more-or-less parody of working class british men ruled over by lord of all nightmares. Pretty much every episode the lord of nightmares sends his very british minions to the other side of the planet to steal the Dreamstone, a dream transmitter or close to it, to send everyone constant nightmares. The underlings frequently succeed, but thwarted at the end by various means. If you look at the show from a perspective of an average 21st century young adult viewer, it may seem bland or too weird to like. But if you use your imagination a little, and see it as a children's cartoon made by a psychedelic rock band from the 60s, you'll get it. So I've been looking around the internet for some old obscure forgotten cartoons and I manged to find some episodes of Patrol 03 a forgotten gem of a show form the late 90's about cops stopping their evil police chief form killing the mayor so far I've only found the french and Spanish version of the show but not the English dub which is sad because I remember watching the English dub as a kid in late 90's early 2000's. So if anyone knows where I can find any episodes of the English dub that'd be great. Or if you have any other obscure shows you wanna share go right ahead.

You ever find it weird how we don't really have proper "Shojo" series? Like the last real one I'd classify as fitting the niche properly is like Star Vs and that came out like nearly a decade ago at this point. It's extra bizarre cause companies like Disney have clearly been trying to corner the girl market with their push for more female MCs, but none of them really feel like they're actually trying to appeal to your average teen girl. Amphibia is more Shonen with female main characters than Shojo and Owl House doesn't even try to get the average girl interested. Even series like Fionna and Cake are more "Josei" in it's attempt to capture the "middle age woman" experience. Like why is there such an inability to make series that would actually appeal to teen girl. Is it really that hard?

Has anyone else been noticing the younger fans for comics (yes they exist, they got into comics through piracy during the pandemic and tend to be ESLs) are much bigger advocates for adaptation accuracy than older fans these days? It's been a while since we've done a Sonic-adjacent comic (unless you count Klonoa), so let's do one with art from an Archie and IDW alumni! Written by Jesse B and drawn by Matt Herms, Sticky Floors ran from 2006 to 2009. Towards the end of this comic Herms got his start in mainstream comics with Sonic the Hedgehog 185, which was released in February 2008. Sticky Floors was originally hosted on snafu-comics.com, but since February 2018 has been removed from the site. Not that that's stopped me before! Oh, and I've upscaled these images since they were a little small. Well alright champ. I can respect trying to help a fellow cartoon who's down on his luck. It's certainely unjust what happened to Mao Mao. But if you wanna win, you're gonna need to campaign, and campaign correctly. 1. Showcase how based Mao Mao is. This is an important place to start. Modern cartoons for the most part tend to get alot of seethe votes due to perceived SJW or Calarts influence. While some can overcome this through sheer momentum(such as Spinel), you need to show off the more based elements front and center. The fact it's the only male lead action show on CN right now is a good starting point. 2. Get the other fucked over toons on your side During the "Mao Mao Emergency" or "Week of Leaks", a degree of kinship was shown between Mao Mao and other shows that got fucked over, most notably, Making Fiends, El Tigre, and Harvey Peaks. Try to reach out to those fandoms and stoke the sense of kinship. Those extra votes with count. Try to get them through the qualifiers if possible too, to keep that kinship fresh in the minds of voters. All Mao Mao voters should support these other screwed over shows and verbally back them both before and during the tournament, to ensure that when they drop out, they keep voting for Mao Mao. 3. Keep Dan alive long enough for Mao Mao to face him off and beat him. Even moreso then the presense of the kinship voters, the rivarly between Dan and Mao Mao is a powerful tool if wielded correctly. As seen in the Tag Tournament, Mao Mao suffered a massive hit to his voting base after Dan lost to Alastor, which may have cost Mao Mao the finals. Dan Vs has a very dedicated fanbase that tends to have a high turnout, and they'll usually vote Mao Mao in hopes of keeping the rivarly going. All Mao Mao supporters should vote Dan to ensure he stays in until the two fight. Then Dan can be promptly crushed and Mao Mao can ride the wave to victory. This is best utilized in combination with.... 4. Electioneering to the max. With storyarc-RPing now taboo following the events of last year, a return to electioneering ala 'SCAM Inc" seems likely. As such, focus on this. Draw up posters, attack your opponents in the debate box with their recent drama, dumb shit in their shows, or if availible, their prior tournament losses. Slander and Libel your opponents and make Mao Mao look good. ALSO use this to boost the prior 2. Dan should be a recurring element of taunting and targetting even when the two aren't fighting, that hype will push voters(and not just Dan voters) to keep BOTH of you in the circuit longer. Make statements and art that bolster the kinship of you with El Tigre, Harvey, or Vendetta, to ensure those voters stay on yoru side. And finally, of course. 5. Weigh the biggest threat in your bracket and target them. Even if all goes well, to get the finals you'll need to survive. Skeletor, Grim, Courage, Hank Hill, Pepe Le Pew, Omniman, these are the high levels that should be targetted as soon as possible if they are in the same bracket as you. Arguably almost as much as Dan. Once you've secured your bracket, go back to insulting Dan and praising your squad until Dan is knocked out of the race. Then focus on putting all your strengths forward and hoping the Mrs. Monarch Factor can secure a win. Happy hunting Mao Manons, and remember to vote early.
