>>474418 He seems like a nice guy. That's not really my 'shelf.' I own very few physical books any longer and don't really buy them (though I did come across the old Fortress of Solitude TPB for about $5 in a near mintish condition), and picked it up at a record store, of all places to find a comic collection.
Surprised this thread didn't take off. I always saw /shelf/ posters as the /co/mrades most likely to migrate to a quiter, more discussion-oriented chan if 4chan Prime ever fell.
>>476121 Thank you! That's not even every one, there's a couple of times I got an autograph as a gift for a relative at conventions. They're a lot of fun, 99% of conventions booths are shit, but meet and greets are always a nice story. I also met Stephanie Naldoyney, Sean Schemmel, Roshi/Yajirobes Dub actor for Dragonball, Lucy Pohl (Mercy from Overwatch) and Young Flash's voice actor from Young Justice (Can't remember his name)
>>476120 A friend of mine got me Darwyn Cooke's autograph on the blueray of The New Frontier, but he got the plastic part of the front (where the art goes inside) signed, not the art or the disc, which I wasn't particularly happy about, and I ended up donating it during lock down for one of those 'help creators' pay the bill drives that was organized by two of the large LCSs in my hometown.
I also bought autographs from Lieber on that Spidey book he worked on and the Jimmy Olsen Fraction collected TPB, which you purchased from Lieber's digital storefront and then picked up the signed TPBs at his table, so I actually didn't even get to meet, much less chat with Lieber - I think it was his wife or sister I got the books from once I presented my digital receipt, but the price was really reasonable and this was actually a holiday gift for someone, also about 2020 or 2021?
>>477101 I have photos of the Lieber signed ones, but they are on one of about 10 externals, I really need to organize those and put them all on one HD and a backup, at least the ones I definitely want to save!
NEVER forget, folks, your digital data is only as good as where you store it and don't kid yourself that cloud storage is any more 'safe' or permanent.
