Yeah, and all told I'd say the story has advanced admirably and in some interesting directions- it actually got really Venture Brothers for a while, and in a good way. A couple years back he started including handy reference links to past strips relevant to the newest comic, which work really well.

There haven't been all that many "ENTER COMMAND" posts since the plot stepped up a gear, but it's made by a group of MSPA collabs and a Steven Universe storyboard revisionist.

Red is being kind of unfair

I'm not so sure she is. I mean first off, Red has a history of ignoring social conventions, so it's entirely in character for her to not dance around the issue, but Annie knew how dangerous Jeanne was (she had come close to killing people before) and had all the information she needed to know she was putting all her friends she involved in this in jeopardy. And neither Red nor Blue are the altruistic sort, so it's entirely within reason that they only involved themselves because Annie agreed to owe them a favor.

But Annie's headstrong and since she believed herself to be doing the right thing (which, in theory, is true), she went ahead with her plan, sure that nothing would go wrong. Then it did. Now she's paying the price, both socially and in the form of the deal she made with the psychopomps.

In some ways, Antimony's story is something of a classic tragedy--other than her neglectful/emotionally abusive father and dead mom, most of Annie's problems arise from her own flaws. Sometimes she pays more than it should cost her, but often times she has gotten away with more than she should, too. Which is pretty true to life. The exchange on these things isn't always 1:1. But they average out, over time.

So I think Annie's arc is pretty consistent and well justified in story, is what I'm getting at. It's a very classic mythological arc, which is entirely appropriate given the story.

Prequel finally updated! Well, is updating. And it's a sidestory completely illustated by Cider instead of Kazerad.

It's a suspenseful stall, but I suppose it's a good sign.

That the black tongues actually run pitches and have over time contributed to society at large is a REALLY fascinating revelation, considering that until now the organization itself has mostly just been portrayed as rogue lunatics.
