Oh man. Sluggy Freelance is coming back to one of its all-time best plot points (a character with hopeless relationship issues spent multiple arcs in an alternate universe where a gal turned out to be his alternate-universe counterpart's WIFE) and it's so good.
>>241820 Yeah, and all told I'd say the story has advanced admirably and in some interesting directions- it actually got really Venture Brothers for a while, and in a good way. A couple years back he started including handy reference links to past strips relevant to the newest comic, which work really well.
Annie, your are going to have to go back to the white room. You are too much of a distraction to the younger students. All these notes you keep getting from them are creating a fire hazard as well.
Though she looks the real QT without the makeup and the short hair.
>>242487 Not really. There was one or two I thought were nice but lost track of, and another two that started on tiny forums I visit but died from lack of replies. Kill Six Billion Demons started as one but then rebooted as more of a regular webcomic that happens to occasionally draw inspiration from the comments. And of coruse there's the one on the last version of plus4 that Annonex ran until he stopped updating it. If I get to drawing more/better maybe I'll try to make one.
Speaking of KSBD, all these comments calling the peaches butts has me thinking of a KSBD/Olgaf crossover.
>>242487 >Anyone know of any other of these kinds of webcomics? I only know about this, MSPA and Prequel.
Forgot to chime in first time around, but there is NEOKOSMOS: http://www.neo-kosmos.com/ There haven't been all that many "ENTER COMMAND" posts since the plot stepped up a gear, but it's made by a group of MSPA collabs and a Steven Universe storyboard revisionist.
Quote from Kazerad's merchandise IndieGoGo campaign >"...I have learned that this sort of thing is not a one-person job. Also, 926 T-shirts take up a lot of space. I have an entire room of my house that is officially The T-Shirt Room. It's awful."
Fuck Prequel Adventure, I want more of Kazerad's shenanigans. Maybe we can send him cooking utensils and see if he loses a finger.
Another chapter completed, team Outrider headed out on the road, and most likely we'll see another trip to dream world Prof before the start of the next chapter, which is expected to follow team awake world Prof as the arrive at the Villa Del Sol. I think things are kicking into a hgiher gear soon. Also, a drone overhead for some reason?
What a lucky Random Article roll on TVTropes it was that brought me Awful Hospital. But now that I'm all caught up I'm again trapped in the awful situation of having to wait for updates after blazing through the archive dozens of pages at a time.
https://gigidigi.itch.io/lady
Lady of the Shard is pretty nice, and it's complete so you can read it all in a single sitting. Same person who did Cucumber Quest and the Hiimdaisy comics, too.
>>243097 Nah she just being huge wouldn't be enough of a reason. Something had to have happened. Smitty powers of order already got the seed planted maybe?
Annie out of concern for this reaction using her vision and sees a thread trailing off Smitty right to the center beneath the cape.
We've already for the confirmation they've been doing the toss and tumble slap and tickle for a while now.
Be a neat flip. Everyone going to the worst and it just turns out Smitty is a daddy.
>>243107 For some reason, people seem to think GC is a much darker and more suspenseful comic than it is. If you've been reading for long, there's absolutely no reason you should've expected a giant melodramatic twist here.
>>243235 So, apparently lots of people got OFFENDED, and flooded the author with hate mail. She responded with shutting the comment section down for a week, and said that she will not apologize or change anything about further story.
>>243636 Nice to see this and Dumbing of Age are on about equal footing. Now where is the Transgender Rich Girl who's an abusive asshole that we're supposed to feel sorry for.
Well Spinerette at least isn't promoting conversion therapy as positive thing. Whereas Dumbing of Age is promoting being an abusive asshole is a positive thing as long as you're trans (who is also being persecuted by a Christian cuz lololololololol).
Actually I'm going to disagree with>>243643 and say Spinnerette is actually leagues better than DoA because Spinnerette is merely bringing up the topic of conversion therapy, not endorsing it, while DoA is actively damaging any goodwill the LGBT community has attempted to build over the last decade by "white knighting" them.
From the details on this page a plot twist seems entirely obvious, the infamous figure spoken of as an urban legend in the monster world and now taking an interest in Shadow is also the boy's mother shapeshifting to appear human.
>>244015 Is she really? In her Q&A she mentioned that she was trying to get through "the boring chapter" to get to the much better stuff later.
That Q&A got a reply from one of her fans, with tons of criticism. Vivian actually watched all of it, and responded to all the points. Is she really rewriting the thing to fix the comic's weaknesses?
>>244190 Dude, it happened on this very website (or on one of the versions now lost to the annals of history). Even as Radical was transforming the entire town into a megazord and making people change into robots and dinosaur men, people were still making excuses.
This grasshopper right here. I can't tell if it's a guy or a girl.
They have no distinctly feminine traits or mannerisms, but a one-panel appearance way back at the start has the alt. text "she watches...". But it looks more like a guy than anything.
In one week, Prequel will have gone a full year without an update. Can Kazerad beat the clock and get his major post-Kickstarter update out before November 1st? Will we see Katia Managan actually succeed at something? Who shot Officer Barbrady?
Well, just when I though Dinosaur Planet Animated Series was the only great project trying to revive Rare's original vision, this awesomeness came right out out fucking nowhere: http://starfoxadventurescomic.tumblr.com/
It's a retelling of Star Fox Adventures, only with better writing, better writing, borrowings from the original Dinosaur Planet script, and better writing.
Someone on e-hentai/sadpanda thought this was gonna be full lewd, that's why is there. The author decided to embrace that, as he said there would be lewd pages later on.
>be smart enough to immediately realize that Annie is perceiving shit differently >and then forgets about it and goes HURR ITS JUST A LOCK WHATS THE MATTER
Questionable Content's been officially making a genre shift of sorts? I feel like that's not the right way to put it. It's started blending a serious sci-fi plotline in with the intermittent interpersonal drama. And while the lead up was very well done, the actual step over that threshold was definitely awkward? In a shaky first steps kind of way.
Well, as of the last two comics the serious sci fi bit may be hitting its stride. Because Androgynous Android Satan has shown up and they're kind of amazing.
>>245098 Is it just me or do the 'fur' puns make the comic much less funny. Maybe the punchline would make a good alt-text or caption/title, but it just looks like a groaner pun.
I assume the joke is that the younger version is a total sparkledog due to immaturity.
>>245441 I'm not so sure she is. I mean first off, Red has a history of ignoring social conventions, so it's entirely in character for her to not dance around the issue, but Annie knew how dangerous Jeanne was (she had come close to killing people before) and had all the information she needed to know she was putting all her friends she involved in this in jeopardy. And neither Red nor Blue are the altruistic sort, so it's entirely within reason that they only involved themselves because Annie agreed to owe them a favor.
But Annie's headstrong and since she believed herself to be doing the right thing (which, in theory, is true), she went ahead with her plan, sure that nothing would go wrong. Then it did. Now she's paying the price, both socially and in the form of the deal she made with the psychopomps.
In some ways, Antimony's story is something of a classic tragedy--other than her neglectful/emotionally abusive father and dead mom, most of Annie's problems arise from her own flaws. Sometimes she pays more than it should cost her, but often times she has gotten away with more than she should, too. Which is pretty true to life. The exchange on these things isn't always 1:1. But they average out, over time.
So I think Annie's arc is pretty consistent and well justified in story, is what I'm getting at. It's a very classic mythological arc, which is entirely appropriate given the story.
>>245443 The Red in question is a character in *Gunnerkrigg Court*, which is a fairly popular webcomic on this image board. She's the one with the red hair that goes up. She's currently in the middle of calling out someone for putting them in danger, and anyone who reads the comic would immediately understand who the pose was about.
>>245442 Red and Blue were also well aware of how dangerous Jeanne was. So was everyone else. Annie made a deal with an otherworldly power to fix the one injury. It almost literally couldn't have gone better.
>>245486 She didn't have a plan and winged it all, and got "lucky," because some psychopomps owed her a favor. And it wasn't just "one injury," it was one death. That was a mortal injury, not a scratch on the fucking knee. She got her friend killed and just happened to remember at the last moment that she had a "get out of death free" card. That's reckless endangerment of people who trust her no matter how you slice it.
>>245747 >>245824 In some early concept art that predates Unsounded (and therefore might be a separate continuity) she appeared to have a sibling who was a lion-like senet beast. It's possible that she herself is some sort of senet beast, or connected to them.
That the black tongues actually run pitches and have over time contributed to society at large is a REALLY fascinating revelation, considering that until now the organization itself has mostly just been portrayed as rogue lunatics.
Image:149854987300.jpg(93kB, 500x688)not the exact image I was looking for, but it supports my argument.jpg
>>246514 Someone is clearly unfamiliar with European history.
Honestly, I've never follow Dobson but as far as I know he has never introduced a non-(cisgendered white male) that is shown to be as smart as his own character. IS THAT A POLITICAL STATEMENT??? Also, since when is ~40% "comically low"?
He's an idiot but he has an audience, so the comic grinds my gears more than it should.
>>246526 >Also, since when is ~40% "comically low"? I feel it incumbent to point out that 60% of the overall human population does not consist of straight white males.
I agree with pretty much every word of that comic. That he still comes across as a smug shitheel I sincerely want to strangle is a matter of aesthetics, not politics.
>>246528 I'd be surprised if it was only 60%. Men period make up only 49% of the population, and I'm fairly sure white, straight men are less than 80% of all men.
So there's a brand new webcomic that I'd like to share with you guys. Chiefly because it's...uh...mine. I gone made it myself and I'm hoping it meets with your approval.
http://stringcomic.co.uk
I feel like I've been writing the exact same spiel to half the internet, but if you like urban fantasies set in contemporary London and if you're the specific type to enjoy quantum manifestations of people's hopes and fears being mashed in the face by a crazy conspiracy-spouting lady with a cricket bat, this comic might be just up your alley. It updates Tuesdays and Fridays and be sure to check back later tonight for the first nine pages.
>>247956 She is only furry in a part-time sense, and draws for everyone. And DO read Lackadaisy, the story of morally grey bootleggers trying to sway afloat is very well done.
>>247956 Not even close... I know many people just on FA who draw much better art. His style is more of this part anime, part old style cartoony. When I say anime, I mean stuff like drawing teeth like it's just a melded together row of bone, or the huge expressive eyes he draws. I get why he does it, he draws a comic, you have to make art that fits into a small panel and be expressive. But frankly, I find stuff like Bagheera's art much better with expressions, the characters faces are also more "real animal" like and less cartoony. I'd post examples, but 'fraid most of his drawings are porn. ;)
>>247969 The thing is it's hard to take your opinion as anything but biased when you're looking at it from a fetish/porn perspective. There's always going to be an underlying assumption that part of the way you're judging the art is on how much of a boner it gives you.
>>247969 Being more detailed or more realistic does not make anything better. And besides, how can you talk about realistic talking walking cats? Those don't exist, there is nothing to compare to. You have to make things cartoony to some extent, or else your characters will not be expressive enough to be in a comic.
>>248015 Please say anon is wrong and you do not judge based on that.
From the creator or Everything is Illuminated and DIes! and HEROMAKER, Mad Magic concerns the life of Joy Kaplan, a Wizarding School dropout. And we're not talking Chosen One plucky coming-of-age hero dropout. We're talking absolute Slytherin SNAFU dropout. Now she's slumming it with her (younger) roommate and trying to use what little magic she knows to coast through life. But as she literally stews in her own juices of thwarted dreams and all-encompassing failure, wicked forces fester within the walls of her rank apartment complex and in the streets of her not-so beloved city. A guardian must rise to challenge it and hopefullly...it'll be Alix because Joy is a toxic garbage inferno mess of a woman right now. Oh, and Alix has better boobs.
Svelte, Clean-Cut Goth Chicks! Slighlty THICC, Frumpy Goth Chicks! Elixir Smugglers! Owl SPAM! Vegan Skeletons! And the most ingloriously disgusting fast food product of all time! Your cholestorol will shoot up just from looking at it!
So sit down and catch up with the one webcomic that's guaranteed not to play happy grab-ass with the SJW crowd. Pure, unadulterated, Urban Fantasy/Horror/Comedy Entertainment from one of /co/'s most beloved (indie?) writers!
>>417881 First one requires a bit of background knowledge, but is generally old-fashioned, and bland for today's extreme rapid-fire tastes. In the 70s it would be easily accepted in a newspaper.
After a short lifetime of consuming western media, I have finally come across a non-sexual straight-up butt joke featuring a female. The whole "guy butts are gross and funny, girl butts are sexual and inappropriate" phenomenon is just stupidly pervasive
although I'd totally tap Abigail
. Is there a TVTropes page for that?
>>419189 That would sooooo not be appropriate in Hungary. Red star is the symbol of our 40 year long Soviet oppression, so it is forbidden same as the swastika.
>>419531 I never know what to make of such webcomics. They obviously wanna be softcore porn but never take that step. At least give this Sasha some boobs for Krystal's sake! >>419464 What the "carp", really? They even censored THAT? Man this is weaksauce.
>>419704 I love how these comics are utterly gay but try to pretend they are NOT about gay porn... despite featuring buff nude male furries all over the place.
>>419684 It's like Dave Hopkins discovered COLORS and SHADING exists! LOL At least the hellish landscape and undefined blubbery characters reminds me of his Jack comics. Though with far less misogyny (so far...)
>>419836 The guy's expressions are really poorly done compared to the rest of the illustration I also can't stand 'eyebrow above hair' style and that horribly placed sweat drop, even if it's done comically
The "eyebrow above hair" is done because hair on the front isn't a solid part, it isn't even dense or anything, so you can see through it and see the eyebrows. Although I admit that it looks doubly odd because only the eyebrows can be seen through the hair, not any of the other stuff like ears or the hair ribbons (obscured by the same strand that you can see the eyebrows through).
But yes, this is just faux anime style, but I'm reading it for the story. And on the website, the pages appear half this size anyway, so the imperfections aren't so visible.
If I had any real problems is that the artist can't differentiate between teenager and adult body types that well. Still, the current art is still a huge improvement over the ones in the earlier chapters, so at least he is improving. He just needs to stick to a regular schedule.
>>419838 >Although I admit that it looks doubly odd because only the eyebrows can be seen through the hair Yeah, that's the main part which gets me. There's nothing wrong with reading a comic for the story though. Plus it's good to hear the artist is improving with their art. I will never be honestly annoyed at an artist who is improving.

Dreamkeepers got official soundtrack volume 5 released, meaning the music is out there. Did YOUR favourite webcomic get a soundtrack this good? Most likely not!
>>420191 I made 2 almost identical posts, and you could have taken them less seriously. If I wanted to make an official statement, I would write to the webcomic government.
