You ever find it weird how we don't really have proper "Shojo" series? Like the last real one I'd classify as fitting the niche properly is like Star Vs and that came out like nearly a decade ago at this point. It's extra bizarre cause companies like Disney have clearly been trying to corner the girl market with their push for more female MCs, but none of them really feel like they're actually trying to appeal to your average teen girl. Amphibia is more Shonen with female main characters than Shojo and Owl House doesn't even try to get the average girl interested. Even series like Fionna and Cake are more "Josei" in it's attempt to capture the "middle age woman" experience. Like why is there such an inability to make series that would actually appeal to teen girl. Is it really that hard?

>>477037 >Amphibia is more Shonen with female main characters than Shojo I feel like Amphibia had some influence from Magic Knight Rayearth (which is a shojo series), so I think it still has some Shojo stylings in it
>>477037 There's that concept about the little black girl who grows tired of being one. I hope it gets picked up, and if it does, i extra hope it's good
