From the italian show Monsters and Pirates. I have seen the DVDs in bargain bins for years, but glad I never got them... it's your typical quasi-anime italian cartoon, with WINX club designs and insipid ideas, like pirates being taught at academies... LOL. Still, has some anthros amongst the crews, oddly, and without much explanation.

Here is a news then that I never thought I would see. Ever heard of MondoTV? They are the italian studio who are responsible for such horrors as THAT Titanic animated movie, and its sequel, Tentacolino. But they are far from dead and produce shallow anime ripoffs like "beast tamers" and other terrible things like the above Monsters and Pirates I posted.

I have been watching Egyxos for a while now btw, now that Kimcartoons has an english dub. (I plan to rip the audio on the 1080p russian version, btw). It is a good show actually, not Mummies Alive of course, but it has some egyptian deities and historic figures in roles I did not expect. The kid's bracelet and its powers kinda work a lot like the new DC Blue Beetle's scarab, actually.
And of course, maaan Sekhmet is sexy. As you'd guess, cats and dogs and all that, she and Anubi (yeah without an S) don't get along well.

She can fight, somewhat, but she is more like the mad scientist/witch archetype, having a laboratory and all.

Anubi is a shapeshifter actually - he can even turn into a small falcon. Mostly, he is used as a spy and stalker.

I really liked their interpretation of Sobek. He used to be a good guy until he betrayed everyone to open the gates to Exaton. Despite looking like Killer Croc, he is really shrewd and an escape artist - in his debut, he tricks the kid giving him his "gameboy" and uses it to short out his cell. Also unlike most villains, Exaton actually appreciates Sobek's loyalty and makes a huge attack on the ship to free him.

The "odd one out" is Thoth, who is... not really wise or anything, at least so far. He just reports things to Exaton and once acted as an emissary. Weirdly, he has teeth in his beak.

I still wonder why so little fanart or R34 exist of that show, especially of Lola and Tina. I am rewatching it now and it is still extremely funny and well written. Tina is, honestly, the sort of person even I could fall for in real life.

Man, Egyxos' Sekhmet is hot. I gotta draw her... have not done much art in months, never have the spare time, but I gotta make some time. She has such a nice muscular body, and while the human lips are a bit weird, her face is still anthro enough for my liking.

Oddly this version can infect others, so at least we got some female werewolves too.

Nah, it is regular 2D animation, just a really shitty one. And they are going super fast - we are just 14 episodes in but we already have Miles Morales as a second Spider-Man, we have Flash as Venom, etc... As for Storm Hawks, I frankly liked it, it was the better sort of cell-shaded animation - unlike shit like Transformers Energon.

Compared to what a huge team it lists at the end as credits... the animation was really jittery, never matching the voices, and jumping awkwardly from frame to frame. Still, credit goes to them for using actual hand drawn frames and not flash, at least it looked like it.

I remember when I watched it (sometimes, it wasn't a great show) there were always cringy live action parts before the cartoon, like in the Super Mario Brothers Super Show. Looking back at it now, I do wonder if Arctos and his kingdom was what inspired Adventure Time's Ice King.

So after all these decades, I finally decided to watch Space Jam. Man, what a terrible idea it was, cross over Looney Tunes with... professional basketball? Just who had this idea? Michael Jordan paid a fortune to the producers or what?
And yeah, Lola is a non-entity. She has no schtick, no character. She just appears out of nowhere, plays good basketball, and does not like to be called "doll" - that's all there is to her. I don't get why furries still hold this character in higher regard than the far, far more enjoyable and funny Looney Tunes Show version.

Seriously, this thing is just... terrible. I had my reservations about the Ultimate version as it was more of a dinosaur than a lizard, but even that was better looking.

Sadly, certain communities in Hungary I was a part of pretty much relocated there so I sometimes need to check there or be left out of the loop.
