While I didn't much care for many of the s8 episodes, the season long arc was pretty good. Having the racist EEA guy and Chrysalis as red herrings for the final villain was a nice touch.

Personal opinion, but Tartarus was not as cool as I hoped it would be. Tartarus is just a single big room with some miscellaneous monsters in cages, and its not even deep underground or anything. You'd think you'd want someone like Tirek behind multiple barriers, magical force fields, lava moats, etc. Not just a single door which can be magically forced open and a single guard dog.

LOL I knew a person like that. I found a nice art - sketchy pencil work - I liked it enough to ask the artist would he mind if I colored it. He didn't, so I did, then before I could post it the guy whose OC he drew contacted me forbidding me to publish the pic because "I asked for a nice porn commission of my OCs and he drew all those nasty sexy gremlin girls there, I absolutely don't want to see this anywhere!"... thanks, letting me know after I worked on inking and coloring it.
... I have half a mind to release the pic now, many years later, knowing these people are probably long gone from Furaffinity already.

Well, personally I would release it because I value the original work and respect the actual artist's opinion far more than the commissioner's. If drawing OCs without permission is wrong, then all my cartoon fan art would be highly unethical.
Then again, my moral values are mixed and probably unorthodox.

In chapter 23 of Season 1 "The cutie mark chronicles" she talks about going to Celestia’s school of gifted unicorns, when everyone was already going to school, plus she was still studying or was already finishing her studies when she net her friends in the first episode, with this info it suggests that she’s the youngest one of all.

Rainbow dash Age 23 or 21 years old… born Feb 1 ’93 or ’95

In chapter 12 of Season 4 "Pinkie pride" she talks about her birthaversary, basing on the date of the premiere, Feb 1 2014, it could be her birthday, her cake had 21 candles which suggests that it’s her age (arguable) 21 years back takes us to Feb 1 1993, knowing Fluttershy’s age, they both used to study in Cloudsdale, if we ignore the cake candles and keeping in mind that that chapter 23 of Season 1 "Cutie mark chronicles" where Fluttershy is taller than Rainbow, we could suggest that Rainbow is 1 or 2 years younger than Fluttershy.

In chapter 18 of Season 2 "A friend in Deed" Pinkie told Cranky that she was 75 days away from her birthday, basing on the release date of that episode of Feb 2012, 75 days later was May 3, now in Chapter 11 Season 4 "Three’s a crowd" Pinkie says that she was born on a Tuesday. The years before 2012 with a May 3rd were: 2011, 2005, 1994… knowing that they’re adults, her year if birth is 1994

I guess you were living under a rock for the past what, 6 years? Hasbro basically tried to copy-paste the success of Monster High and made Equestria Girls. There is an official but ridiculous explanation in that this is an alternate universe where Twilight and Spike travelled to, in order to find an evil ex-apprentice of Celestia... but that was quickly dropped and the subsequent movies had introduced another Twilight in that universe too. They otherwise live totally like normal humans, there are no pegasi or unicorns and no magic either. It's pretty terrible, to be frank.

FINALLY watched the final 3 episodes. Though Grand Finale: This IS The End This Time (We're Not Joking Edition) could have used some more elaborate way of subduing Grogar's Bell (the surefire rainbow technically just damaged a large area and weakened the villains, the bell remained intact) and and actual speaking line from Fizzlepop Berrytwist (though any cameo at all is greatly appreciated and shows the showmakers care about the movie remaining CANNON and not throwaway optional thing), the very last episode is as good as the show could possibly get. It's a shame [spoiler]none of the Mane 6 were shown to have children, but guess the decision was made to leave that to the viewers' imagination (and perhaps because having children is not "empowering" to women or some shit). I legit thought the little horsie was Pinkie's son, but then my hopes were shattered on the rocks.[spoiler]

So, anyone else checked out this Pony Life thing? It is basically TTG, but with the characters at least keeping some semblance of their personalities... not much mind you. I could stomach 3 episodes before it got annoying. They also ignore continuity, and character development a lot, with Fluttershy reverting to her S1 scared persona, despite this taking place just before the coronation.

I havent see. The source but judging by the image, Im guessing it goes beyond inspiration or original character. It's a purple winged unicorn with that same hairstyle. Is it an actual real parody (critiquing the source)? Have they put ads on it?? (makes it harder but not impossible to claim fair use)

I only watch sequels if the original crew made them, or gave their blessing (like how original Sucker Punch developers looked at Sly 4 in early development, gave their thumbs up, and provided suggestions). Original pony team inside Hasbro decided to end it after 9 seasons, and make no more. I respect their decision.
