>>227359 And ones again the "team" symbols on the toy boxes means nothing. Still awesome episode with great reuse of old thing even with the same eyerolling problems this show keeps bring.
>>228141 I was okay with the look intill I saw the blades, like what the fuck are they smocking. It looks like a baddly folded swiss army knife. Still hoping for Utrom Shredder to save it. And I will always love Super Shredder because I got the toy for Xmas. Nuff' said.
Also http://www.comicosity.com/preview-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-turtles-in-time-1/ YES~
They may get an Amazon deal, maje it around 40, depending how well they sell they may get discounted. Kinda hoping for a good sale to maybe other Nick stuff gets made.
>>228270 I hope so, though Shredder can eat me still acting like the wronged party in all this. Maybe he is legit insane in this version. Karai likely gonna act like Protoman for the next few episodes maybe have a penchant for hot foods and wearing heavier jackets.
>>228312 Yeah I starting to feel that nick Shredder is more pathetic then Fred Wolf Shredder. Atlest he was played for laugh and not drama. "All of the bad thing I have done/has happen to me IS YOUR FAULT!" Come on shreddhead, have some fucking dignity.
And Karai feel to me less like a Protoman and more Jekyll and Hyde. Hopefully she will have the pressens of mind to get a team of "mutated animals". Slash is a shoe in for that!
>>228322 Leo loses her to Slash, heh I can dig it. Slash is still a pretty standup dude overall even if he does go for Punisher type tactics. Or maybe He'll help her come to some kinda "we may not see eye to eye on how to handle things, but they are family."
>>228337 Oh indeed, musical number was crazy, also pizza dude was mad before he mutated clearly. Wonder if they'd do a figure of him. Nealy no articulation but it would be a damn fine Pizza the Hutt stand in.
And having see the new trailer on the big screen I most say that dupstep gets me way more hype then the inception braaaahm. Will still wait for reviews.
Wonder if it'll make a good amount of money, tis a Bay production after all. Be Nicks first major blockbuster if it really does well. Overall I see more hype for it than "Not Muh Turtle" now. Can't hate it for being different myself since every incarnation has been bit different
In any case, I've given the man many chances to impress me and his work just repels me. I don't want to see it more because it's his work rather than whatever nonsense he did to the characters.
Sorry I thought about only afterwards, Bay did a time skip with Transformers 4. In the new turtles film I think we get a glimpse of them as teens then we time skip to adult forms.
>>228915 Well none of them are a Shredder Special. Though really they are missing the Marshmallows, BBQ , Chocolate Sauce Gummy worms. etc of an actual Turtle pie. But this is the wrong era for that kinda publicity.
From the sound of things, the biggest sin the new TMNT movie commits is being no better nor worse than anything before it. It's inoffensiveness is offensive. I'm going to end up watching it on the weekend anyway. At it's best, the movie will be a decent way to kill two hours.
>>229137 Its owned by Nick now so that was expected, though I want this movie to succeed just to watch Nick kick and scream over being forced into having a blockbuster movie and then being forced to do actual work by the higher ups to make the show their new headliner. To watch them twist and squirm over having to do actual work would be a riot.
>>229149 As a Nick franchise, the new TMNT movie seems to be more violent than past films. The PG-13 rating is back (like the first film, right?); Don gets to say "badass;" and apparently someone's face get eaten by deadly gas
>>229155 They having to be actively involved in the production process is something they've not done in years I think since the closing of the Florida facility. I'd like to see them have some actual skin in production again instead of treating Turtles nearly as bad as other action shows they've had.
>>229156 That is in line with the current usage of PG-13. The whole "no blood no foul" I'm hearing some interesting takes on things in this version. Like The Schrader Who fucks up against the Turtles then its time for the real Shredder to join the fight If that turns out to be true then it could be cool.
>>229158 Also wondering what the purpose is for Karai in this film. Not seen or heard much about her aside from those early shots picking her out due to the hair coloring.
Now we're talking! http://www.thecinemasnob.com/midnight-screenings/midnight-screenings-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-and-step-up-all-in http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escape-to-the-movies/9634-Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-Kids-Deserved-Better-Than-This //youtube.com/watch?v=midLTl7dRaE Also //youtube.com/watch?v=w9KFcDm7wlM
>>229232 Except the IDW comics are the only good thing to come out of any of those. The film is unbelievably bad (not even good as a "drop your brain at the door thing") and the 2012 series is looking mediocre right now.
>>230065 They've been airing the last four a week ahead of network broadcast online. I think they are all still up there. Order is Chinatown, Dimension X and then Invasion finale.
>>230094 just it seems that relationship existed prior to the turtles and all this.
So I wonder if they did a switch at some point or if it was just shadowing her through life and the Turtle thing was later and addition to the primary objective.
Also if the Android was more a mech all the time or the occupant was a sleeper until needed.
>>230361 Such a great finale, full of homages to a lot of things.
Looks like we'll be seeing if this leaked storyboards are true in a couple of episodes. Might even be the next one if that is the Bigfoot Episode and its part of the aftermath.
I'm thinking sleeper unit. No Kraang could pull off that level of adorkable goffiness for such a long time. Even when faced with the dangerous situation the ancient ghost had them in there was no sign of breaking character. I think going off like an alarm at the sight of the turtles is clue towards that as well. My hope, as I liked her character, is that Splinter makes his way back to the ruined lair, offhandedly pulls the blade back out of Irma's head and gets a hell of a shock when she pops back to life. It could be that with Kraang Sub-Prime dead she reverts back to her regularly scheduled program and is her old self again, sans a body. That could be fixed by putting her head on one of the damaged droids, and dispite them boing being a little freaked out about it she could really help nurse Splinter back to health. Ultimately this could all be a wonderful foundation for that lovely Master Splinter/Irma-droid ship we've all been wanting to see...
>>230374 Battle Irma, Karai and Leatherhead all working together as Splinter heals up. Use a similar bit with her as they did with Leo. "Her vocal processor was damaged so we had to construct a replacement."
Then someone mention, "that seems to be going around, hope its not contagious."
>>230646 Alopex is such a pointless addition to the cast I still wonder why she's around. Everybody else is great, but her I have no idea what they're even trying to do anymore.
The latest episode was nightmarish. I really like that season 3 so far have been playing with horror and monster tropes, makes it feel really different from the first two.
She is a cut-and-paste Ninjara copy, right down to her relation with Raph and allegiance to an evil organization (the Foot in this case). Just... cheap. PLus Ninjara is so much hotter. :)
>>230647 >>231871 In her defense, she was the first offical new mutant in a long time. And made by Kevin Eastman himself no less!
But yeah she could be a better character. I still like her. Even if I wanted her to stick with the foot, but nooo Shreddhead just had to be an asshole and burn her old forest home down do to ancient ninja tradition bullshit that an animal would never understand. Good job breaking her loalty jackass!
>>232295 I remember seeing that discussed. He was a good sound alike but didn't have the range. He gets better as the season is progressing. Least they actually acknowledged the change from his throat getting wrecked.
>>232861 Using that as the base for by writers submission script, a way to bring her back in. Gotta clean up the beginning a bit but the overall idea is solid.
>>234235 If you saw the two-part special, you didn't miss anything: the mass teleportation that brought back the people also sent the Krang away. It was easy to miss, because it really didn't make much sense.
>>234239 Well its like the Donnie April thing. That from the storyboards was supposed to happen much later in the arc before they left for New York. But someone on executive wanted to speed things up least it seems that way given my understanding of the writing process. Same here they considered the Kraang Shredder stuff to be a distraction from the core Turtles vs Shredder standards of the show.
There was NO Shredder vs Kraang war, dude. What show have you been watching? It was kind of a plot point that despite Tiger Claw and others expressing their worry about the Kraang and letting them rule humanity, the Shredder was content to continue their alliance.
>>234337 And its overly convenient that this teleportation eliminated the need for him to make a decision about it all. Now he can get back to drugging Karai.
>>237021 SPAAAAACE TURTLES! And Dinosaurs~ //youtube.com/watch?v=2KNqymbX7AM Also BAAAAATMAN... http://io9.com/at-last-batman-is-teaming-up-with-the-teenage-mutant-n-1717084308 Hope that Shredder kicks his ass.
http://findcartoon.com/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-season-3-episode-25-26-annihilation-earth-part-1-2/#.VghAjvntmko I think I speak for all of us when I say "HOLY FUCKING SHIT!"
Accurate to the 80s 1st Release April Design. Wonder who has that Figure on their Desk. Seem to Remember that Camera and Holster showing up in one incarnation or at least in production Artwork.
So I guess we'll talk about the movie here too. //youtube.com/watch?v=HeaugHGd1Kw No surprise, the turtles still look terrible. But BB & RS manage to look pretty dang good. Probably because they're already mammals and thus mammalian features don't look creepy bizarre on them.
>Once it became more obvious what Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was, the talents were able to better understand what made the film click. “Coming into this movie we learned a lot from the making of movie one,” acknowledged producer Andrew Form. The actors were even more specific. “I think the comedy and the chemistry of the turtles was what seemed to work the best the first time, and what is the emphasis this time,” said Ritchson. Added Pete Ploszek, who plays Leonardo, “I think that was clearest in the elevator [scene] the first time.”
Seems the new film has learned a lot on what works from the first film.
>>240831 BB & RS look better because, unlike with the turtles, the film makers aren't trying to make the duo into something they were never meant to be. They were always big, muscular, ugly and cool because of it.
I'm reposting this from /cog/ because I dont want you to miss this. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/idwgames/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-shadows-of-the-past-b //youtube.com/watch?v=8QfSzgV1q5g
Figuarts releasing 80s style turtles. Seen a pic of all four but only heard about their exclusive release date and not the blue fin yet. Also 64 bucks a pop. Maybe they'll have a boxed set. Would like an a April and Shredder as well..

>>244020 Interesting to see how much they bring in. Overall I've find the show decent rough spots here and there but overall solid.
If Sony has to sell off some some of their properties. I wouldn't be sad to see this team work on a Ghostbusters cartoon. I think they could do a solid balance of the properties.
I'd be interested to see how the first movie could be worked into a season arc. Then use the comic lore of other high level spirits gathering the power from Gozer to make a play or at the command of Gozer to attempt another crossover.
>>244022 I would love for this to happen. It won't, but I want it to.
And yeah, the current TMNT has had its rough patches but I dig it and I love how it pulls from all over the franchise's history while also adding its own things.
It could or at least Sony could let them produce as Japan as been cracking down on Sony Pictures this year pretty hard and they are looking to get their animated stuff going.
I just like to think about it since the TMNT crossover as a great issue.
I know Donnie is the smart one, show, you did not need to give him an enlarged cranium. Also, movie style Raph has... what, batons??? I am guessing the show will be child-friendly then?
>>419270 I disagree. I enjoyed the Mirage-based show and the 2012 Nickelodeon one as well, they were really good for very different reasons. This one though is just lazy and uninspired.
>>421805 Transformers had to be rebooted because they lost they focus. It was written by glorified fanfic authors and they had to write stories so they match each years Hasbro toyline and tumblr trends (gay robot marriages, sex changes, etc). They also had this forced shared universe, so even if you wanted to read about the Transformers, half the stories happened in other, non-TF books. Even Unicron was the result of some random alien race summoning Cthulhu in another book. The yearly company wide crossovers did not help, nor did half the plot twists amounting to "Shockwave did it 4 billion years ago".
But I digress. My point is, that TMNT doesn't have any of that. It focuses on the story without throwing in SJW propaganda or some yearly crisis. It's actually a really fucking solid ongoing, one of the most solid ones on the market right now. Sure, it's not stellar or anything, and has its own tie-ins (they often try to tell more stories than what fits in one ongoing). But it doesn't take forced 180 turns all the time, and some of the tie-ins are really fucking great (both the Bebop & Rocksteady ones are awesome). I think that can be attributed to the fact that it still has one of the original authors (Kevin Eastman) on the book, and because it isn't as much subject to executive meddling in the form of Hasbro demanding toyline tie-ins.
I'm guessing the new Mona Lisa character will be the result of Old Hob blowing up a mutagen bomb in the middle of the city, turning thousands of people into mutants. One of those people might be her.
The only gripe I had with IDW TMNT so far was that the death of Slash was really, really boring.
>>421885 Man I loved that series as a child. Good to see that they are finally finishing it, cliffhangers are never good. I need to re-read the last few issues, I only remember it up till the introduction of Sarnath.
>>422054 Are those some sort of thinly-veiled 'parody' rangers because the comic writer was being 'topical' by having the characters he was writing beat them up? Don't recognize the getups
>>422121 Well consider that he already died once in the story (he and the turtles are all reincarnations of a ninja family from medieval japan), and also Shredder just came back to life (he has been legit resurrected once before already), that the utrom ooze has been used to prevent old age indefinitely, and oh also it was revealed that Krang is alive too, and it has been hinted that the clones of Slash may have his consciousness in there.
For what it's worth, Splinters death has been good and really felt like an emotional piece not just death for the sake of sales.
Never mind, I found it. https://readcomiconline.to/Comic/Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-Adventures-1989/Special-11?id=49583 April is nothing special, they just reused the same turtle design used for the guys. But Perri the squirrel gal looks pretty great.
>>422476 I bet she went through squirrel plastic surgery to get rid of the skin flaps. At that weight level those are literally useless and won't let you fly.
>>437760 >fantasy animal people have real animal penises and vagoos >they always do, THEY DO, because..... they do The more time passes the more this annoys me.
>>441312 Looks so fucking cool. My only complaint is that I'm too used to Streets of Rage, so the gameplay may end up too alien. But it seems they made it very child friendly so that might not be the issue. There's so many hit sparks that it might be tough to follow the action too.
