So in tribute to everyone's favorite Klonoa fan's passing, I've decided to storytime a rare official comic from a site that no longer exists. You can find an archive of it here: https://klonoa.the-comic.org/ RIP Matthew Perry, may you play your favorite game with your pants around your ankles in the next life
>>454358 Full disclosure: I've never actually played the games, I just like posting older Klonoas in Klonoa threads to bully the shotafags. I wish there were more King of Sorrow lewds ;_;
>>454356 Oh I heard about this. Or at least it not being complete or something. Sometimes the stories behind licensed comics are pretty interesting and depressing.

>>454421 And we'll end with a literal rainstorm of twinks! From the archive: >Despite the "To Be Continued" at the end of the strip, this is end of the comic itself, at least for now. Jim Zub would like to revisit it someday, but who knows when THAT will be? I'm guessing it's pretty unlikely considering this came out in around 2014. Still, I hope you enjoyed this little detour from the Sonic comics
I never really took this comic seriously, since it did not make its mind over whether it's a sequel or not. A reboot? I want a sequel to Klonoa 2, that actually commits to being one.
>>454431 Yeah, I mostly posted it because the art was cute and we get to see lots of the characters. I really need to get around to actually playing the games sometime because I have no idea about the plot

>>454433 I'd say emulate the first one. Remake/remaster/whatever erased the FMVs and replaced all sprites with 3D models. The sequel was ported alright, you can buy the new version.
>>454444 I wish more game companies would put out comics with their IPs. It's nowhere near as expensive as regular marketing >>454450 I only had Sega and Nintendo consoles, and later Microsoft ones ;_; >>454477 Cool, I'll do that then! Yeah, so many remakes and ports are actual downgrades from the original. At least with Sonic you can count on the fans to fix things

So I was looking around for more comics with Klonoa and while I'm almost certainly on some sort of list now, I did find a fan continuation of this comic! The art's really nice, and the comic's ongoing too, so let's take a look!
From the author: >Dream crusaders is aiming to pick up the webcomic "Klonoa Dream Traveler of Noctis Sol" where it left off and carry the story forward up to a satisfying end.
>A mysterious enemy named Tenebrae Hue has absorbed a magic entity named "Noctis Sol" to fuel his evil ambitions! Will Klonoa and the others be able to stop him and whoever else tries to block their path?
Dream Crusaders is by Esteban Girolami and you can find the comic here: https://dreamcrusaders.the-comic.org https://twitter.com/jeyrolami https://www.artstation.com/jeyrolami https://www.furaffinity.net/user/jeyrolami/ https://www.tumblr.com/jeyrolami https://www.patreon.com/estebangirolami
>>454621 Happy Halloween boils and ghouls! Let's do the next section of the comic. We return with our shotagonist about to duel-wield rings >>454622 Fair enough, I prefer to binge-read too. I'd say read the first two chapters on comicfury, but it takes forever for them to load. There's also a few pages of chapter 3 up on his Patreon.
>>455024 And that's it for now! The cover art for chapter 3 was released on October 18 so we should hopefully be seeing more from this comic soon! You can keep uo to date on the comic at these links:

>>456187 And we'll leave it with everyone coming together, let's hope more pages come out soon! Oh, and you can keep up with the comic at the link here: >>455025 Tummy count: 37
>>456190 Now, I'm only counting the Klonoa tummies, so the number's much higher! >>456191 Yeah, I absolutely love these sorts of characters >>456192 If it's Death Battle, there's a good chance that was our special friend. He enjoys having meltys in those threads too >>456193 I really need to get around to playing the game >>456194 l-lewd! >>456195 All the better to wahoo you with!
No update with the comics yet, but I thought I've played through the first game and have almost finished the second one. They're really great, but more importantly the second game has the best song humanity will ever create. Here's the lyrics so you can sing along:
Ruruwaryuuine shenifa turafayuuwari fa (whoa whoa!) Erunarutura inewai-isu raburigentu koudutudu!
Dindan turapu tikyan! Dindan duwaari rufudu!
Dindan turappu rushe! Dindan duwafirufa manyurufa rurupurudu!
Wahoo! Wahoo! Wahoo! Wahoo!
There's also a translation in the Official Strategy Guide:
Wahoo! Wahoo! Wahoo! Wahoo!
Something is rising, something is now beginning nearby Someone discovered, someone waiting for the end The world is turning, the world is moving, your hand Makes my heart dance, your eyes make my heart sway
With my map, bag, compass, and my favorite hat (Wahoo!) My pocket with the usual candy, I'm on my way boiling with anger The opposition prevents me from finding someone (Wahoo!) I'm still waiting to search, and to begin stepping wind
Something is rising, something is now beginning nearby Someone discovered, someone waiting for the end The world is turning, the world is moving, your hand Makes my heart dance, your eyes make my heart sway
In this gentle evening, I see a falling star (whoa whoa!) From beyond the world, a new wind is blowing
Ding dong, a bell is chiming Ding dong, the sound of dreams
(Wahoo!) (Rapaa!) (Rappa!) (Radu!)
I need love, courage, and willpower to reach my goals (Wahoo!) I need to take a step forward, that is all I need to make my day!
(Wahoo!) (Wahoo!) (Wahoo?) (Waheeeh!)
In this gentle evening, I see a falling star (whoa whoa!) From beyond the world, a new wind is blowing
Ding dong, my chest is roaring Ding dong, the sound of dreams as I look out to the world
