>>472453 This show is so good, man, why? it's just a dumb show about a girl teaching the meaning of words to toddlers it doesn't have nay right to be as good as it is. >>472465 I bet this guy makes Word girl porn.
>>477352 Reminds me of her thread right before the day 4chan stood still. Where we were thinking up villian au/ concepts for becky. One name being coined of "grammar nazi" also a wwii esque story with her as a super for germany
Word Girl is a surprisingly good show. I wouldn't recommend it to people who don't generally like cartoons anyways but for cartoon lovers it has a certain adult wit to it that elevates it above other educational shows.
When the education part comes in, it's done tongue in cheek and enjoyable, so even if it's forced it's genuinely amusing to watch.
I particularly liked the kryptonite episode where Mr Big has her locked away and the lock can only be unlocked by her defining a certain word. The whole process is great for kids to understand how one can infer the meaning of a word from context, even if it's lame for an older person watching, but then highlights the silliness with the punchline of one of the prisoners having had a dictionary on him all this time!
>>479877 It's what makes it funny, her knowing and defining words isn't that helpful on her actual fighting against evil. Wordgirl as a cartoon sounds like a preschool baby show but it's just a solid kids cartoon. It's like if they wanted to make a funny super hero girl cartoon but the network wanted something educational so that was the compromise.
