also, if you have any Ns, they’ll get bullied by the J
Ns are passive in nature and will just let the J walk all over them, both of them will be unhappy with the other around, they’re not a good combination
if you have an N, better to get a drone that’s more friendly to be his buddy - Ns also love humans though, so it’s okay to have *just* an N
Ns are especially cuddly drones, if you get comfy on the couch your N will probably come cozy up to you
and Ns tend to get lonely or scared at night, and have nightmares, best to let him sleep in your room, note that he may want to sleep in your bed with you after a bad dream
Ns are also usually scared of fireworks and thunderstorms

It is normal to feel regret over past works, especially in regards to "popular" stuff that with hindsight you'd rather not want to be/feel closely associated to. At least in your case the greentext in question was nominally anonymous so it should be relatively easy to simply dissociate it from everything else you've done both as an anonymous user & as your usual online handle (whatever that may be)

I do not know for sure if you are also the same anon who also once wrote picrel, but I think more of this than than nori nut. Chance is likely slim that you will write smth with Alice again, , but still, it's one of my top5 Alicegreens so that's already good.
Also Emilyanon do take the time you need for the pillbaby continuation, it is good to know one of the big greens is still going on, even tho at a pretty difficult spot right now assuming the hardest part is the immediate continuation, the nect scene was gonna be difficult, I know I coul never write such a thing so whatever you do, it will turn out great with the work you've shown before and the high amount of self criticism I see

I think it's safe to say that the 'Official' naming scheme for planets within these systems appears to be based on their orbital position in relation to the system's star(s). I think it's Alice, the 'dronewiki' once had it's article on her say she had green eyes earlier (iirc). In general the idea of Alice having had green eyes 'before she went insane' is pretty widespread, it comes from some people's interpretation of the small image on her ID, most commonly it is explained that (similiar with her blue eye flickering) her eyes changed to orange only later due to her modifying herself (tho the DD tail is the only Solverpart really). I don't really buy it since she looks orange eyed to me on her ID, but green is the second best colour for drones anyway so I sure don't mind it.

I'm so glad that Alice exists it's unreal, look at that pic wow, I never before knew of that frame, the way she has her hair more over the eye than usual due to movement, hair movement occured before already during the oven jumping shot, but I didn't know there was such a mount of detail put into even swishi blurry fast shots of movement.
Anyways, didn't have enough time to draw a lot, so no post on that, but I looked into it instead, not sure if anyone really cares but Alice is definitely more of what counts as hillbilly than redneck, no competition. Everytime the 2 and a half minutes of screentime seem meagre there can still be dozens of undiscovered frames be found

Initially I was somewhat unsure of it, not the idea, it came to mind and I immediately went with it, otherwise I'd overthink it all again and not get over a sketch again, since she seemed somewhat unbalance but it looks less off by now, also I'd reason that drones are light yet strong, also the Antlers would have a significant impact on overall balance considering they are made of what appears to be piping parts, in any case it could balance the pose easily I think. But it's probably already stable enough given what I stated previously so bleh

Woudlnt Nori have told her? Her sketches on the DDs or "Pets" were during this time. We can assume Yeva died during the period during the Pilot where the DDs crash into the colony when Uzi accidentally let N in, and Noris schizophernia doodles happened way before that. Like I said the only possible time Yeva could have died was during the DD attack in the pilot, its the only point it makes sense. The only time before this when they attacked the colony was during Noris death which we also know was a long time ago, but Doll is looks to be the same age in the flashback of the attack. Therefore the only time V could have killed Yeva was during the pilot attack

i actually like the way some of the jokes are executed. a lot of times the joke is actually just a piece of text that isn't spoken outloud and is only on screen for about a second and you'd probably have to pause in order to read them. i like this because it rewards people who like to pause to catch blink and you'll miss it details and it doesn't feel intrusive or disruptive or disruptive to the plot. i also really like the scene where Lizzy was launched by the missile, made me chuckle on several rewatches

You not being able to even tell or maybe trying to not even imagine it’s a joke just shows how hard that joke fell flat (tbf I did laugh the first time Uzi punt kicked her mom into the hole by just how absurd that was, like they needed to get Nori out of there and choose the quickest stupidest possible way)

He different strokes different folks, some ways either show handles things will be received differently. I think TADC has about decent pacing so far, while MD desperately tries to rush its way through everything which leaves a lot of good ideas in the dust like almost everything having to do with Doll. That isn’t to say all of MDs pacing is fast, episode 5 feels paced perfectly for instance, but a lot of it is. I think there’s a middle ground between characters only reacting to things with quick expression changes at the best of times and never talking about it again, and 5 minute overly dramatic Shakespearean tragedy readings.

Another different strokes thing. Some jokes are fine, some don’t appeal to my tastes tbh. A lot of the jokes I’d consider bad happen during pivotal moments of the show which bogs down the tension of otherwise good scenes, or just the overly jokey manner the show treats itself in some instances. To compare I think the Lizzy joke you mention is actually hilarious, while the kicking Nori into a hole is only really funny once

You're really just asking for pointless drama for the sake of pointless drama, and it isn't inline with the overall direction of the show flowing towards figuring out the big mystery. Perhaps if the show actually was a slice-of-life episodic deal where the spooky eldritch shit only remained as a background detail, then sure. But I don't see how it's disappointing, in my eyes that would be a much worse and much more boring show to watch.

Since Episode 3 there was loads of dead drones stored up in Doll's kitchen, which we then know that Uzi was taking from in order to try and deal with her hunger cravings. There is literally no need to try and "drive a three-way wedge between them all" apart from silly melodrama.

Also, the latest episodes have been (at most) hours since the events of Episode 5. It's not really relevant to the story to have them be starving at all. The purpose of them needing to feed is to establish worldbuilding and the mechanics of the Absolute Solver. Hell, the Solver lashing out and breaking reflections comes up again in Episode 7. Does it need to serve a purpose to the overall plot? No, of course not. We are shown things to inform our knowledge of how these things work.

NTA I dont think drama when its part of the shows canon already especially something as underused as the main inspiration behind the DDs vampirism is never brought up at all, and I think its just sour grapes to claim that because the show several lacks moments of drama like this that inherently means that if it was implemented it would be "pointless" just because its never there. Liam can write good drama, and characters questioning their actions, he did it with N in the earlier episodes and then he just stopped. He literally does the thing people complain about where he worries and asks V questions about what they are and talks about how he feels, and it was great. Im not sure why its just silly melodrama when it doesnt happen, but good melodrama when it does

like in this last episode, how Uzi running away from N was generated by the malicious insinuations of "Tessa". N later accepts that he needs to stop hiding things from Uzi even with Uzi's mother threatening N's life to his face if he tells the truth.

Oh yeah, it's definitely nice to see. Going from N being frustrated in Episode 2 and 3 with V hiding secrets from him and how he doesn't truly know what he is, all the way to N regaining his memories and knowing what he is and eventually understanding what it must be like for Uzi with him keeping secrets from her. It's a super neat parallel.

I am late but feeling it now, I can only say Alice. Really, I feel she'd deserve some comfort after everything (if she'd want it is another question, but overthinking this stuff never leads anywhere), she probably didn't have much or any really, given how limited Beau is (he's a mute egg in the end).
It isn't just 'pitty' either, I think she did really well considering all else that went down over the rough two decades she spent there as well as near all of 6, also I just think she's just sympathetic, she looks great, I like her voice, her antics her laughing, I can relate to her a LOT both in morals, choices and somewhat to a lesser more metaphorical degree also storywise. I just think it'd work. Man look I don't even have any big demands or hopes for 8, all I want is for the situation to not be any worsened and I can live with that, the current circumstances could be a good base for a green if I could write.
In the end, yeah, Alice and only Alice, I can 100% say she's the only fictional character I ever felt for like that, which makes it very hard at times to think about what happened in 6, she is not dead luckily but Beau is and Alice isn't going anywhere (probably) without help which likely won't come anytime soon. Just today one of the first things I saw recommended on Youtube was that one 'the moment Alice realized she is f*cked-up' vid, ofc I didn't watch it but suffice to say, I was'nz ready for it, I felt sick from seeing it really.
It's sorta unrelated to the question but it messed with my day really, I had to focus on other things, didn't wanna think of drones yet, didn't even watch anything long on YT, but ofc that specific scene comes up and forces itself infront of my mind for hours. I don't think that's what's being implied by the "Singularity Event" terminology, but you are correct that is the way Matpat and his ilk take the story despite the deeper connotations of the nature of the Absolute Solver.
Humanity were very clearly aware that the Solver is something beyond their understanding, it is brought up that they were attempting to understand it. It's not a natural thing, and neither is it a part of the robots it is using that is simply malfunctioning. It is an outside influence, something malicious making its way in.

A lot of the people on the normie side of the fandom are completely clueless about stuff like that, but the reference to the "Singularity Event" is very simply JCJenson being more clinical in refering to the Solver's use of consuming target worlds through the manifestation of the Singularity. It's an accurate descriptor, I mean it is an event where a Singularity is eating everything.

I'm guessing you are referring to the real-life idea of a singularity event with technology? In Murder Drones it's at most a half-cheeky reference to the term. The JcJenson pamflet for the merch pen I was talking about makes it pretty clear "Singularity Event" is referring to the in-universe event of the Solver consuming a planet. Tragedy is part of the core of the show. I think it's fine because you can definitely do both and the main Disassembly Drones were tragic as they were. It's just thread OCs have a bit more freedom since they're not tied to an animation pipeline and the writefags/drawfags can take their time exploring different ideas. For me, thread OCs can have their funni moments and it wouldn't take away from their solemn moments, but execution is partly important. That comic with Eye is really well done.

I was unsure if I should share it, but know what, I'll only forget more and more of it so I'll tell you of the drone related section of a long long dream I had last night.
It wasn't like watching an episode at all, rather like 'hearing' a story, all I saw till the last sequences were these claypieces of different colour infront of a bathroom white tile wall, four of them, two purpls, one pink one blue, they were connected to thin strings holding, but also moving them (or being moved by them, can't remember), connected to bare metal convoluted external waterpiping (seen from about 30cm away, upper two pieces /left one purple(Nori)/right one pink (Yeva), both about 2-5cm large and roughly elliptical, lower two were closer together, small and almost round /left purple (Uzi)/right one blue (Emily or Rebecca)) So now that you have somewhat of an idea how it looked, the dtone related part.
>It was the end of ep8 (not specifically, might as well have been from season2 but definitely after current events).

So, for the lore now: Uzi and the blue one did nothing, Nori was very active, reconstructing Yeva (mentally yet only), I hardly remember details of that part, there was little visually, also I sadly didn't hear a Yeva voice, it was silent sound, like thoughts. Nori eventually succeeded in restoring Yeva, it was a relieving part of the ep, meant to be one of the final acts, with usually no more action following/only talking, in any case Yeva talked with Nori, dunno anymore details, in the end Nori decided zhey should azzempt to create bodies for themselves soon, it wasn't told, no one moved, but I could feel tge scene was about to end, Yeva however said they have to do one more thing. What followed was something unreal, very dreamlike feelwise, speaking of emotional impact, not as told by the scene. Yeva communicated that they should 'restore'(?)/'repair'(?) Alice as well before going (idk 'where they'd be going, but it was clear, as soon as zhey went the eoisode would be over), Yeva was the only one arguing for it at all, but she said, and this was the only part of the entire dream spoken clearly, "so she can be a better mother", ofc meaning to Beau I believe, maybe he was the blue passive one, Nori did some 'groan' or something in any case was annoyed or acted so but oh well, it was not the end yet. The last thing actually happening before the dream ended was there being Alice, more or less detailed as she'd be now, her head destroyed and mostly gone, also in the very small scale being held by several strings attached to her arms, nothing else happened visually, (meaning this was the end of the dream itself, all visual action during the earlier parts was tge Nori and Seva clay changing shapes).
Overall, some last pieces important: AS didn't appear anywhere/Nori was very influential/it had almost a theme of being some judgement of the characters after the series, hence why Yeva said to remake Alice so she can be better idk I didn't come up with it, I guess it was some sorta compromise between what I feels should have been, how it's popularly perceived, how it was intended in the story and how it was originally thought).

This isn't some thinly veiled attenpt at writing or whatever, I am just telling what happened in best detail and my vest interpretation of it, I feel I will delete it as soon as I wake up thinking it's bueno, but whatever, wrote it out now I might as well post it here

You are a little wrong on the details but the conclusion is right anyways. Alice is a zombiedrone as you said, meaning the core-failsafe didn't work/misfire during her first 'death' (we don't know what happened to the CFL subjects, were they picked up as already rebooted zombiedrones all over the planet or did they massmurder drones at CFL in order to farm zombiedrones?), in any case she experienced FATAL ERROR at least once before and, although I cannot recall what this was based on right now, I'm 99,9% sure zombiedrones' failsafe is permanently disfunctional. Which means Alice still is a clean, Solverfree drone and as such also has a 'normal' Solver-free core, just that she is now safe from the risk of self destruct after FATAL ERROR.
>Current situation
The details and really the overall extent of the damage suffered by Alice in 6 are few and vague, with differences from scene to scene (the close up shot almost looks as if the helmet splits clean in the middle during the first part of the foot connecting, however this isn't the same case with a sizewise unclear section of the lower head, after the Sentinel leaves the frame a close large shape can still be seen, proving that the head wasn't crushed to the extent of breaking utterly apart, rather severely indented, the part breaking of seems to have been the helmet), during the close up it looks as if most of her head is gone, the background shots tho show a slim part of white (talkin of the above shot, with Sentinels closing in on V) can clearly be identified, and while in the end there is not enough detail to prove the overall exact condition of her head, this part still demonstrates enough of her lower head being intact to allow us to claim that the neck/body is damage free.
What this means is that, while all of her head is 100% black in these shots, there is no continued oilloss, further proven by the oilpuddle not changing a single bit during all shots of her 'dead' body, even nearly a minute after the incident, meaning she won't be 'finished off' by progressive leaking either. This, together with the lack of Sentinels(not that they did much to what they considered eliminated bodies anyways, proven by DD wrecks at the entrance still having cores) and bugs in the labs leaves a, considering the circumstances and what could have been, rather good condition for Alice being preserved as is for pretty long.
So, keep in mind that with
>Core undamaged
>No progressive leaking
>Overall body in great condition
>No further dangers around
Alice is already not dead right now, there is no need to be sad (cause she won't be Solvered either), there are even very good condizions to fix her, but this is were another problems begins, or rather multiple. The most obvious one is, no one is around to help Alice, no one knows of Alice and those who'd know wouldn't do a thing. Next there are two far more urgent ones, the type of thing keeping me awake at night because these two things are actively dangerous and 7 made it worse in that aspect. First, the planet might blow up, this is no 100% death sentence but due to close proximity to CFL, which will be where shit hits the fan, she will be very close to a very violent event, it wouldn't help her in any case. Second and that is a little vague, the cores from the oven could be dangerous, if they were to enter matter collection mode? Unsure of it really, however there is one thing that can help that scenario, namely the utter lack of attention paid to this aspect yet, if they cores show up again then most likely without addressing what happened to Alice (if anything new were to happen even), I'd say in that scenario Nothing changes for me at all, they would need to mention Alice again/need to show anything of her which they won't do anyways so I'd say we are safe.

Not sure if I forgot anything but feels as if I didn't miss anypoints now. One last thing: remember how Thad, a normal, non-zombie- non-Solver-drone was impaled/cut by J in the pilot? He healed from it. Now, I don't say it is certain at all, especially paying mind to the (while unclear) severe damage suffered by Alice, but it implies drones can heal. Or not, maybe he was repaired smh, in any case a nice thought. Just need to pray 8 doesn't fuck things up and we have perfect conditions to make our own story with Alice

The flesh-cores are a direct consequence of the Absolute Solver, not just merely being a Zombie Drone. Yes, Alice was likely a Zombie Drone due to being a CFL test subject. But she clearly was not a Solver host, only a TINY percentage of Zombie Drone cases are capable of the Solver manifesting within their AI after coming back from death. Alice diffrentiates herself from Solver hosts like Uzi and Nori, calling them "witches" because she is not a host herself. She's part of the percentage of drones that experience no further effects after coming back online after their core rejects termination.

The file limits were counted wrong in the new system, I'm working on a solution for that.

Catalog and post counter use the same numbers initially, so when one is wrong, so is the other. They are counted from the database, but since the files got decoupled into a separate table, the counter mixed the numbers up and calculated the wrong file count.

Threads can have their numbers refreshed on the browser side, ie. it will count the amount of stuff you have open in your browser. This is for the post updater. It also means that it overwrote the wrong values that got initially loaded from the database.

Anyway this thread stopped bumping already so I'll just close it.
