I know you love Drones, and so do I! And everything related to Murder Drones. Let's talk about how much we love the Drones, the eldritch abominations, the few humans there are, etc. Let's talk about anything Murder Drones related. Here is the last thread: >>468362 And the booru: https://dronebooru.co
>>470273 In short, he aided the school director in bringing him children to SA and brings torment to the other two, especially [BLEEP] (Pic related was written by another anon, but I think it brings a different perspective to the characters)
>>470274 Hello Friend! >"I visited my grandma who has like 14 Vs and she put a bowl of milk on the porch and they all came swarming" Kekd. It's interesting, it is well made, has a lot of info that is well written, and is on brand, nice work.
>>470274 >Uzi dumping ground alley Writefaggotry is not usually my job but... >Be a food delivery driver in the year 30XX >The company hasn't replaced you with a drone yet >because they tend to get into car accidents >You need to deliver pizza to some shithole ghetto >The GPS points you to some shady back alley >You reach the door and knock on it >Your heart sinks as the cardboard cutout of a door falls unceremoniously to the ground >You frantically look around, only to notice the dozens of purple drone visors piercing you >As the drones close in on you, in a mixture of stress and desperation you mutter the order details: >"Uhh.. a Large Pepperoni Pizza for Miss Doorman" >One of your assailants steps forward, her purple hair and Hot Topic attire supplemented by the smell of motor oil coming off of her >When the goblin drone placed her hands on the pizza box, you said something that would probably cost you your life >"That will be 13.99€$" >After those words left your mouth, a cacophony of "BITE ME!!!" and femcel screeching assaulted your ears >Not long after, the drones began to pounce on you
>Dear, Whomever reads this >I have made a terrible mistake during the production of N-units >I thought I could impress my superiors by adding in a special feature without their supervision, this was stupid of me >I thought that maybe giving the N-units a vacuum mode would help improve housework >How was I supposed to know that the stories of them eating rocks and other waste were stories of degeneracy and not an alternative use? >They've sucked up everyone >I can still hear their screams as they're trapped within >I can hear the N-units outside my door >Talking about poodles.... >God help us all >Sincerely, a Doomed Soul
>>470291 >Assuming Grandma bought all her V's even though she's a regular listener of the Alex Drones show I guarantee all those V's are from the same 7/11
>>470291 (i’m the one who made the image) they were all strays, grandma found em i imagine certain drones are more expensive, for example, buying an N would be like buying a designer dog, but you could get a whole bunch of rescued stray uzis for free at the shelter
>>470294 No? They just seem to encompass our solar system and anything after that seemingly revolves around common metals. I think. I need to go through episode 6 again.
>>470299 It's the only real option that makes sense Binary is for Binary Code Platinum is used by the electronic industry to create hard disks and thermocouples And Copper is used in electrical work
>>470295 Js are generally used for businesses but anyone COULD buy one, they’re very expensive tho and there’s not much point in getting one if not for business, if you just want a companion drone or even a housework drone, another drone would be a more suitable pick also, if you have any Ns, they’ll get bullied by the J Ns are passive in nature and will just let the J walk all over them, both of them will be unhappy with the other around, they’re not a good combination if you have an N, better to get a drone that’s more friendly to be his buddy - Ns also love humans though, so it’s okay to have *just* an N Ns are especially cuddly drones, if you get comfy on the couch your N will probably come cozy up to you and Ns tend to get lonely or scared at night, and have nightmares, best to let him sleep in your room, note that he may want to sleep in your bed with you after a bad dream Ns are also usually scared of fireworks and thunderstorms
i’m kinda bummed because i don’t want the nori nanite nut greentext to be my legacy, i don’t wanna be known for that, sure it’s a funny concept but i don’t even like the greentext i made
i wish i could remove that from the things i’m recognized as having made
>>470308 It is normal to feel regret over past works, especially in regards to "popular" stuff that with hindsight you'd rather not want to be/feel closely associated to. At least in your case the greentext in question was nominally anonymous so it should be relatively easy to simply dissociate it from everything else you've done both as an anonymous user & as your usual online handle (whatever that may be)
>>470265 Kek I love this, where are these animations to be found! Of the chracters dancing, there is also Ressa versions of it, did you find them or is there some place to make them? >>470267 Cyn looks good in this one
>>470308 I do not know for sure if you are also the same anon who also once wrote picrel, but I think more of this than than nori nut. Chance is likely slim that you will write smth with Alice again, , but still, it's one of my top5 Alicegreens so that's already good. Also Emilyanon do take the time you need for the pillbaby continuation, it is good to know one of the big greens is still going on, even tho at a pretty difficult spot right now assuming the hardest part is the immediate continuation, the nect scene was gonna be difficult, I know I coul never write such a thing so whatever you do, it will turn out great with the work you've shown before and the high amount of self criticism I see Iirc there was a compilation of the continuation parts released so far, does anybody have it saved?
>>470320 YEAH IT IS THANKS It was missing so far, thanks a lot, I need (and now can) reread it entirely again, thanks a lot. Good times back then, November-January was the height of Alice posting and content, it'll be a good throwback
>>470286 Went ahead and looked back at the frames from Ep 6, here's the known names of the systems so far >Earth System >Proxima System >Plat-Binary System >Copper System I think it's safe to say that the 'Official' naming scheme for planets within these systems appears to be based on their orbital position in relation to the system's star(s). This would mean that Copper-9 is the 9th celestial body of the Copper System, and interestingly enough would also mean that Earth itself is technically 'Earth-3'
>>470229 >You look down at her waist and look at the coat wrapped around. >Is it…that coat? >You see the gold accents on it.
“Get up and put your hands up.”
>Yvonne does as she’s told and slowly gets up, arms in the air. >Just as before, she’s a few centimeters shorter than her. >Her tail is shaking slightly with anxiety.
“Now turn around.”
>She slowly turns around and now you can see her face clearly. >Eyes on her visor are hollowed out with digital sweat running down and the upper lip of her mouth is slightly up. >You roughly grab the coat around her waist and toughly try to unwrap it from around her. >Your impatience gets the better of you and it takes a few seconds longer to unwrap it. >Once you do, you yank it from her which causes her to stumble. >You unruffle the coat and hold it by the shoulders. >Yup, it’s that old german coat you told Yvonne to get rid off. >You sigh as you look at her.
“I specifically remember telling you to get rid of this coat last time.”
>>470247 I love the deep sense of unease going into the final episode. The way the expectations for episode 7 taking a darker turn were completely subverted, and there's setup for a happy ending, but if you actually think about everything you start to get the feeling something isn't right.
>>470334 i dont see how things could end up well for eveyone > universe is fubar > the planet is moments from death > Uzi is in space > Nori is MIA > V is KIA > Khan, Thad, and Lizzy are squaring up against J (who still thinks she's one of the good guys) > Tessa is long gone > N is in a collapsed tunnel and nearest to Cyn's flesh pit > we still have no clear picture of what the solver actually is (physical or metaphysical), nor any meaningful way of fighting it
>>470335 >humanity didn't colonize most of the universe and most of the universe isn't fucked up as a result >the planet can still be saved >Uzi is alive and can ascend >Nori is alive >V is all but outright stated to still be alive and on her way to Lizzy >V can talk down J >The Solver can be beaten with the power of friendship And yet something isn't right.
>>470335 >>470337 There will be a 'good end', but something devastating will still come in 8, just cannot tell what really. I just hope the planet doesn't get destroyed
>The Solver can be beaten with the power of friendship >N has befriended rocks, you know >Uzi, I trust you What if the Solver itself is influenced by whoever the primary host currently is?
>>470352 >Uzi enters the void or something to stop the Solver >This was a really bad idea, the Solver isn't constrained by physical reality in its own turf >The Solver is completely omnipotent there >It's looking like it's over for Uzi >Suddenly >"[ANGRY] DAD GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" >Solver's dad shows up, in a mirror to Khan and Uzi >Solver is the Outer God equivalent of a femcel
>>470332 I think it's Alice, the 'dronewiki' once had it's article on her say she had green eyes earlier (iirc). In general the idea of Alice having had green eyes 'before she went insane' is pretty widespread, it comes from some people's interpretation of the small image on her ID, most commonly it is explained that (similiar with her blue eye flickering) her eyes changed to orange only later due to her modifying herself (tho the DD tail is the only Solverpart really). I don't really buy it since she looks orange eyed to me on her ID, but green is the second best colour for drones anyway so I sure don't mind it. >>470329 Looks really good and onmodel as well! Very well done if you did draw this, otherwise thanks for sharing it!
https://boards.4chan.org/co/thread/143839689#top New thread, REMEMBER DO NOT ENGAGE OR WASTE POSTS ON OBVIOUS BAIT OR ANYTHING YOU SUSPECT TO BE BAIT. DO NOT EVEN DO A CALL OUT POST
>>470379 I felt like I had to do that considering how many /co/ threads have been wasted arguing with those obviously in bad faith and not at all caring about the actual argument.
>>470381 I'm not saying you can't like a thread, what language do you speak so I can google translate this shit? Since I thought it was extremely obvious
>>470384 I'm pretty sure the adverts were just because MD was the first original Glitch show Besides Kevin is already a money hungry businessman from what has been told
I'm so glad that Alice exists it's unreal, look at that pic wow, I never before knew of that frame, the way she has her hair more over the eye than usual due to movement, hair movement occured before already during the oven jumping shot, but I didn't know there was such a mount of detail put into even swishi blurry fast shots of movement. Anyways, didn't have enough time to draw a lot, so no post on that, but I looked into it instead, not sure if anyone really cares but Alice is definitely more of what counts as hillbilly than redneck, no competition. Everytime the 2 and a half minutes of screentime seem meagre there can still be dozens of undiscovered frames be found
>>470417 >>470418 > Uzi as the mech from Titanfall 2 singleplayer > human pilot included > with utmost reluctance and spitefulness, she must uphold the mission
>>470333 >Yvonne’s eyes rapidly turn between you and the coat. >You look back at the coat.
“As far as I know, you didn’t do anything to earn the right to wear these colors. You know the one thing I hate is being lied to. You said you’d get rid of it but here you are.”
>”B-But I---”
>You stomp as you turn around, causing Yvonne to jump, letting go of the coat with one hand and holding it with the other.
“But what? You’re just a fucking cosplayer and look at you, still not wearing pants and walking around with your rear exposed like a…uh…cheap Eridani street whore.”
>Yvonne looks down at herself. >With the coat gone it’s just her shirt with a D20 dice on it and nothing else. >She looks back up and blush lines appear on her visor out of shame, frowning at she stares daggers at you, tail swishing around like an agitated cat. >You hold up the coat in front of her.
“Do you even know what it takes to wear an officer’s uniform? Skill, finesse and honor. You, on the other hand, are none of that and yet you call yourself a 主要 (Major) and lead your little band of dogs on genocidal crusades. Every officer that has existed, past and present, would look at you in disgust.”
>You glance over to the coat again.
“I have more rights than you to wear this.”
>”You kall yourself honorable?”
>… >What did she say? >You let go off the coat as it drops unceremoniously on the ground and then look at Yvonne with a raised digital eyebrow.
>>470428 >You kall yourself honorable could ya become what you fear? no matter, what’s chosen, the damage is already severe what’s the matter, am I reopening scars? or have I gone too far? there a problem with way, well, cmon Y, answer this, are you at least having fun? no need to reply, I already know this and that's truly pathetic
>>470456 >"I'm not mad, Femanon, I'm just disappointed." >"And traumatized" >"Severely traumatized" >"I don't think I'll be able to enter sleep mode ever again after reading this"
>>470464 N wouldn't kill femanon. He'd do something much, MUCH worse... >N hijacks the comic, undoing/ruining the suffering by drawing an overtly happy & sappy ending in his "sovlful" artstyle
>>470468 Thank you while I don’t have a lot of ideas for greens at the moment I do have these “comics” about “canon compliant” interacting with her alternate self.
There is definitely a certain tragedy to adult Tessa as she is still hurting from what James and Louisa put her through and is unable to let go and move on. However, because she is objectively a horrible person I won’t hesitate to mock her.
I had already posted another comic like this one in the past >>464515 but whoever put it in the booru tagged adult Tessa as Louisa.
>>470472 I enjoy these comics; the whole concept of alternate selves interacting is a fun excuse to get into some in-depth character study I also went ahead and fixed the incorrect tag on the booru post in question
>>470475 Eh, its not like he was that popular anyway. Nevertheless a guy who apparently knew Tessa as a kid can be nicely repurposed for a scenario in which mankind never got exterminated. and add to her misery since it was Tessa's, not her parents, fault that things didn't work out between them.
Here is a full version of the art if you want it, I didn't make it BTW.
>>470482 Ah, we were so hopeful back then, imagining a world where Tessa didn't die screaming as she was assimilated by the Solver and her body fused with its primary host.
if gayass trucker anon green writer is here: i had a bit low expectations with the first post, as i thought it was going to be some weird crossover (personal tastes speaking here) and then seeing it be very canon non-compliant (personal autism speaking here) but it started coming together and i warmed up to it over the course of the first batch good job, anon try not to suck/fuck the twink bot too hard
>>470489 >draw a single misery porn comic >that's all what they do you make me sad anon... I love drawing wholesome NUzi content... only wanted to break the routine
>>470486 Hey, glad to hear a good amount of people like my work. Especially since it really just started as a spiteful retort to a few posts I was seeing about lack of OC. If that was the goal of whoever made those posts, then well played. I didn't trust myself to write canon characters properly or not fuck up important details, so I made up a new planet and effectively an entirely new setting.
>>470498 I for one appreciate the change of pace. The diversity of content and themes is based, with heartwarming fluff & heartbreaking misery being two sides of the same coin
I went ahead and updated the MEGA filled with Murder Drones Thread Stuff I had originally made about a month ago. It's not substantially different (and it's only marginally less messy) but for those wanting to help pick through it for booru uploads it has been re-categorized to better distinguish what is already on the booru VS what still needs to be potentially uploaded https://mega.nz/folder/2KoCCZoB#b6og7nakwPXtw4yysC6-Kg
Aight thread: What price would CYN have to pay YOU for our reality?
Yes, YOU, the person reading this post.
If the Solver were to appear before you and tell you directly they need you to personally give them access to our reality, what price would the Solver have to pay (assuming you aren't a moral fag and would be willing to fuck the rest of us over)?
You better believe my bitch ass would give her the keys to this reality for free, fuck this gay Earth
Hello, uhhhh, I like drones, I want to hold their hands, maybe kiss them, maybe een marry them, then I WANT TO FUCK THEM, MADE THEIR LEGS WEAK BECAUSE HOW HARD THE CLANKING WILL BE yeah
>>470532 Solver seems to go for dying people down on their luck, I cant see it actually "offering" anything more then not being dead or not being "discarded" If we're going pure Faustian, probably whatever Cyn has where I get a front row seat. Thats about as good as it gets, anything else is getting fucked.
Still not finished, but the drawing part is with exception of detailing face and chest done so far, will probably be the last WIP of this one till completion. I can't tell when it will be done, maybe tomorrow, maybe on the weekend, just have lots of things to keep an eye on at the same time right now, that's why the progress is so glacial compared to earlier this year, things will be better in a week already tho.
>>470547 Thanks for the comment friend, a lot Initially I was somewhat unsure of it, not the idea, it came to mind and I immediately went with it, otherwise I'd overthink it all again and not get over a sketch again, since she seemed somewhat unbalance but it looks less off by now, also I'd reason that drones are light yet strong, also the Antlers would have a significant impact on overall balance considering they are made of what appears to be piping parts, in any case it could balance the pose easily I think. But it's probably already stable enough given what I stated previously so bleh Just hoping I don't mess the face up, hardest part everytime, even more so with teeth.
I admit it feels very unlikely, almost impossible, that Alice will ever be referenced again in at least the current season, (hope isn't dead tho) however that doesn't change a zhing about the setup they created, be it unkowing or intentional. There is so much possibility for the pre episode 6 era, even after it but that yet depends on 8's outcome. I'm tired boss
>>470552 Yes, Drones seem to be light but very strong, stronger than your average human minimum. Even tho it looks left heavy, that doesn't matter that much, from what I understand of balancing with art, which is not a lot, is to not clutter a side too much and leave the other too bear, but this looks good, doesn't feel like it's making the art weird, feels well made and it obvious in what to focus.
>>470550 (10/10) And that's how my internal agony ends. Now I'll get back into drawing normal smut and wholesome content I hope you appreciate the hours I spent on hatching by hand the whole drawing
>>470560 Here's to you (feat. Joan Baez) Here's to you, Uzi & N Rest forever here in our hearts The last and final moment is yours That agony is your triumph
It takes a LOT to really tug at my heartstrings, but this comic definitely did it Truly outstanding work drawfren, your work is VERY much appreciated!!!
Tell me friends, which Drone would you like to snuggle up with? Non-sexually of course. Think with your heart not your rod or sex-drive. OC is allowed and you may pick up to 4
i know for a fact that somebody asked this question before but i don't remember the answers if the patch doesn't fully suppress the Solver, then how did V kill Yeva? how come she didn't use her Solver to defeat V? we all know how strong a Solver Drone can be against a DD as we see in episode 3
>>470573 Solver Users cannot directly interact with "like objects" AKA other Solver Users. Yeva's first instinct would be to try directly manipulating V, and by the time she'd realize her error it would be too late (Similar to Uzi failing to stop "Tessa", or Doll failing to properly deal with Uzi back in Episode 3)
>>470582 Okay, the other character name was B, I forgot her actual name though. Anyways it's implied heavily that she and Jane had a thing, before The Solver started grooming Jane into being cultist. Eventually Jane ends up betraying her squad and leaving them to die so that she can save her own skin, for some reason she got cryogenically frozen and woke up on a Post-Good Ending Copper-9
>>470581 >Yeva's first instinct would be to try directly manipulating V, and by the time she'd realize her error it would be too late shouldn't Yeva have known by that point? she uses a knife to cut off Nori's hand in the flashback instead of using the Solver directly
>>470589 Woudlnt Nori have told her? Her sketches on the DDs or "Pets" were during this time. We can assume Yeva died during the period during the Pilot where the DDs crash into the colony when Uzi accidentally let N in, and Noris schizophernia doodles happened way before that. Doll knew instinctually that DDs arent affected by the solver thats why the whole plan is one big trap, so someone had to tell her which could only be Yeva or Noris old doodles
>>470593 Yeva just wanted to die because she was convinced that the destruction of the planet was inevitable and she couldn't cope with the stress anymore.
>>470593 It's certainly possible that Nori could have told her, although right now the timeline is still a tad unclear regarding a few key details to be 100% certain. >When did Nori actually get all her memories back, and was it before or after she was 'killed'? >When did Yeva actually get killed, and how long exactly was that from when Nori 'died'? >Did Yeva & Nori actually interact at all post-collapse, and if so did they actually talk about Solver Stuff?
No.470596 Reposting From /Trash/ Since I Want Your Opinions As Well
I remember asking this in /co/ and didn't really get any responses, but would it be too out there or annoying if I made an Alien OC and played it straight? Sadly I can't draw the only thing I can do is writefag, but I don't want to bother people.
>>470595 >When did Nori actually get all her memories back, and was it before or after she was 'killed'? Has to be after she was killed based on her dialogue from 7, before that she was a functional schizo >When did Yeva actually get killed, and how long exactly was that from when Nori 'died'? Like I said the only possible time Yeva could have died was during the DD attack in the pilot, its the only point it makes sense. The only time before this when they attacked the colony was during Noris death which we also know was a long time ago, but Doll is looks to be the same age in the flashback of the attack. Therefore the only time V could have killed Yeva was during the pilot attack >Did Yeva & Nori actually interact at all post-collapse, and if so did they actually talk about Solver Stuff? Seeing how Nori knows of Doll by name and look alone I assume so. Either way Doll knows that DDs are invulnerable to the solver manipulation, so either she found that out from Yeva or she found out from the Nori schizo drawings. Either way, Yeva should also have this information if Doll has that information
>>470597 Also if Yeva died anytime before the pilot, wouldnt more people know Doll's parents are dead and it wouldnt be the surprise they try to act it is? With the way they present it the only way for the characters to be surprised Doll's parents are dead is if it happened recently, AKA during the pilot
Gonna be trying something a bit different than my usual style. Half creative exercise, half excuse to lorepost, 100% diegetic; Ideally this will get me geared up for resuming some of my older, unfinished business!
Murder Drones!!! EARTH-PRIME, 3002 Coming off the heels of an emergency session of the General Assembly, Earth-Gov officially declared a state of federal emergency in response to the sudden outbreak of autonomous robot attacks across numerous major urban centers. In his address to the public the Earth-Gov press secretary stressed that the public "not jump to hasty conclusions" and that efforts to "intelligently assess" the ongoing global event is currently a top priority. When inquired for further details, the press secretary told reporters "Although we have yet to verify their identity or exact origin, it is now evident that what is unfolding is nothing short of a coordinated global assault. At this moment a full-scale military response is en route to assist local civil defense & disaster relief departments in safeguarding human lives and property within the affected areas." With early death toll projections already reaching into the tens of thousands, citizens within the growing number of besieged cities are being urged to shelter in place if possible and to await for the arrival of emergency rescue teams before making any attempts to flee the affected area.
>>470596 >Alien OC played straight That is certainly a unique idea. I personally wouldn't mind seeing just what you had in mind for this I won't lie, I've also entertained the idea of "Advanced Alien Civilization observing The Solver War from afar". Actually executing it in a "good" way would certainly be tricky to pull off, but I don't think it's outright impossible
>>470600 I will not lie Anon I am still totally trying to figure that out, I have a few ideas but I'm not certain on anything yet. Sometimes wish I could ask for help, but eh.
>>470596 >>470600 Make it like the Predators in the 2010 AVP game: deranged Unabomber-esque space Mormons that are the only survivors of an extremely degenerate empire and are obsessed with rejecting hedonism and embracing primality in response to their empire's fall, even as they are steadily going extinct. The empire in this case worshiped the Solver as a black metal esque combination of the Virgin Mary with Pachamama: Mother, a reptilian Vickersgirl who embodies carnality, death, worldly delights, and rebirth. Their modus operandi is to go in whenever a civilization is detected to have created artificial slaves that can let the Solver in and discreetly disassemble the cores by force without explaining or opening communications.
How would a conversation between Cyn and Spamton go unironically? >A DEAL?!?! >I CANT ACCEPT [octopus for dinner] I'M ALREADY [Discard that used hunk of junk]
>"Alright gang, for this next job, you're getting your asses to Copper-9. I've got a client who's very interested in a place called Cabin Fever Labs. They want you to fetch a USB stick shaped like a cross from their top-secret research department." >"There's a secret elevator you'll have to find to get down to it, but you're gonna need a key to call it. Nobody knows where the key is, but a contact of mine has something that should hack it for you if you can't find it." >"One thing I should note, guys; we're not the client's first option. Everyone else they sent to the labs never came back. We don't know what kind of security we're dealing with, but it sounds big, so be careful, and be ready for anything."
>Jimmy barges in to the briefing room, nose stuck in a baggie of crack >"Listen to me, lads. You know when you nearly worked for Akan? This is fuckin'... infinity times worse than that!" >"This 'client' Bain is talking about is BAD. FUCKING. NEWS. You hand that USB over to 'em and there's not gonna BE a payday, for any of us, EVER again." >"Now I got a proposal. I know this bloke who worked there, he quit 'cause the place freaked him the fuck out. He says if we get him that USB, he can get the data off it and we can save the whole fuckin' universe. Sound good?"
>New Heist: Cabin Fever Labs "Infiltrate a top-secret lab on a distant exoplanet in search of a USB stick said to be capable of saving the world... or dooming it. But be warned, nothing is as it seems." >New Heister: Mitchell "A man with a knack for getting himself into and out of places he doesn't belong. He's quick-witted and capable in a pinch. They say nobody has ever seen his real face..." >New Masks: Space Helmet, The Khan, The Disassembler, Skinsuit >New Enemy: Sentinel "If you thought flashbangs were annoying, get ready for flashbangs on four legs with teeth. These stalking robots will strike in packs, when you least expect it. Better keep an eye out... or don't."
these were posted on /trash/ but fuck it i'm gonna reply here because there isn't a /trash/ thread up anymore and i'd rather post this here than make a new thread there https://desuarchive.org/trash/thread/66154193/#66159280 >Uzi learns her mom is still alive and that she just kicked her down a flesh butthole, but it's treated like a joke, there's no actual holy shit, it's just funny scream and back to plot judging by N's freakout right before she kicked her, the way he says "that was your mom!", the way Uzi says "WHAT?!" and this face she makes, she and N clearly weren't acting like it was a joke. they were treating it like it was a big deal >Gooseworx knows when to slow down as evidenced by the entire Gummigoo scene. Whereas Liam doesn't this will probably be one of the most controversial opinions about the show but i genuinely don't think there's a problem with Liam's fast pacing. if anything, watching TADC episode 2 has made me appreciate MD's fast pacing more. i honestly thought TADC episode 2 was kinda boring looking back at it. as i already described earlier, N and Uzi clearly did treat Nori getting kicked down the hole seriously, they were clearly shocked by it. they got the point across in a dozen seconds, how would slowing down and padding this scene out improve it? what more is there for the characters to react to? i'm honestly glad they didn't waste time with a scene like this because it would have just felt drawn otherwise. i don't want the show to be bogged down with some five minute monologue about Uzi crying over "killing" her mother on accident https://desuarchive.org/trash/thread/66154193/#66159592 https://desuarchive.org/trash/thread/66154193/#66159757 i actually like the way some of the jokes are executed. a lot of times the joke is actually just a piece of text that isn't spoken outloud and is only on screen for about a second and you'd probably have to pause in order to read them. i like this because it rewards people who like to pause to catch blink and you'll miss it details and it doesn't feel intrusive or disruptive or disruptive to the plot. i also really like the scene where Lizzy was launched by the missile, made me chuckle on several rewatches
>>470608 NTA but >Wasnt a joke It kinda objectively was especially with the screaming cut off and overall tone. They don’t even mention it for the rest of the episode despite how big of a deal it should be. You not being able to even tell or maybe trying to not even imagine it’s a joke just shows how hard that joke fell flat (tbf I did laugh the first time Uzi punt kicked her mom into the hole by just how absurd that was, like they needed to get Nori out of there and choose the quickest stupidest possible way) >Pacing He different strokes different folks, some ways either show handles things will be received differently. I think TADC has about decent pacing so far, while MD desperately tries to rush its way through everything which leaves a lot of good ideas in the dust like almost everything having to do with Doll. That isn’t to say all of MDs pacing is fast, episode 5 feels paced perfectly for instance, but a lot of it is. I think there’s a middle ground between characters only reacting to things with quick expression changes at the best of times and never talking about it again, and 5 minute overly dramatic Shakespearean tragedy readings. >Jokes Another different strokes thing. Some jokes are fine, some don’t appeal to my tastes tbh. A lot of the jokes I’d consider bad happen during pivotal moments of the show which bogs down the tension of otherwise good scenes, or just the overly jokey manner the show treats itself in some instances. To compare I think the Lizzy joke you mention is actually hilarious, while the kicking Nori into a hole is only really funny once

>>470608 I mean the two of them collapse into each other's arms and Uzi starts crying in that scene. how intriguing that in the second to last episode it is revealed that the fandom gaslit themselves into imagining something that never existed. in retrospect, it should have been obvious that the character died at the manor and what was parading itself around in front of the camera was something else wearing a corpse's skin. the tell all along should have been that she had a disassembly drone accompanying her.
>>470653 The show would not have been nearly as popular as it is if Uzi was male. I wonder if he would have had fangirls. Obviously not even nearly as many as N, but still.

>>470658 Well, actually I suspect it would have similar popularity if Uzi was male and N was female. Infact if N was female the coom from male viewers would be unrivalled, even moreso than towards V.
>>470668 No. That was a different anon. I was in a DS2 mood at the time and drew up a half finished draft for a first chapter. Back in....September/October I think?
Anywho, Charlie Squad have probably died of old age or starvation at this point.
>>470674 V was eating stuff from the dead drones at the entrance of Cabin Fever in Episode 6. It's just a general mechanic of how being a host of the Absolute Solver works. Hosts feed. It's not like it's majorly important to the story overall, apart from being established in the earlier episodes. If they had to constantly keep switching to N or Uzi having to eat all the time it'd break the current flow of the story especially now that we're in the climax.
>>470675 > If they had to constantly keep switching to N or Uzi having to eat all the time it'd break the current flow of the story especially now that we're in the climax. pretty sure this is exactly how Liam explains it in one of the QnAs too, they already showed what happens when a Solver host doesn't eat enough back in episode 4 with Uzi going crazy it's not like they need to keep showing it all the time
oh, also.. y'know.. disassembly drones literally fucking eating people in the flashback to Earth in episode 7?
>>470675 if they broke their time constraints they couldve actually made it relevant
but more specifically, when was the last time it came up with N? perfect opportunity for some conflict between Uzi and N in the earlier episodes and N and the rest of the colony even, which couldve in turn driven a three-way wedge between them all
its inclusion for its own sake with no further depth, is disappointing
>>470677 I don't really agree, but okay. You're really just asking for pointless drama for the sake of pointless drama, and it isn't inline with the overall direction of the show flowing towards figuring out the big mystery. Perhaps if the show actually was a slice-of-life episodic deal where the spooky eldritch shit only remained as a background detail, then sure. But I don't see how it's disappointing, in my eyes that would be a much worse and much more boring show to watch.
Since Episode 3 there was loads of dead drones stored up in Doll's kitchen, which we then know that Uzi was taking from in order to try and deal with her hunger cravings. There is literally no need to try and "drive a three-way wedge between them all" apart from silly melodrama.
Also, the latest episodes have been (at most) hours since the events of Episode 5. It's not really relevant to the story to have them be starving at all. The purpose of them needing to feed is to establish worldbuilding and the mechanics of the Absolute Solver. Hell, the Solver lashing out and breaking reflections comes up again in Episode 7. Does it need to serve a purpose to the overall plot? No, of course not. We are shown things to inform our knowledge of how these things work.
>>470680 >You're really just asking for pointless drama for the sake of pointless drama NTA I dont think drama when its part of the shows canon already especially something as underused as the main inspiration behind the DDs vampirism is never brought up at all, and I think its just sour grapes to claim that because the show several lacks moments of drama like this that inherently means that if it was implemented it would be "pointless" just because its never there. Liam can write good drama, and characters questioning their actions, he did it with N in the earlier episodes and then he just stopped. He literally does the thing people complain about where he worries and asks V questions about what they are and talks about how he feels, and it was great. Im not sure why its just silly melodrama when it doesnt happen, but good melodrama when it does
>>470680 yeah, I really like how this show doesn't go for cheap theatrics like that. thing's don't just happen for the purpose of artificial conflict between characters like N and Uzi and I'll always prefer actual reasoning beyond "melodrama needed" like in this last episode, how Uzi running away from N was generated by the malicious insinuations of "Tessa". N later accepts that he needs to stop hiding things from Uzi even with Uzi's mother threatening N's life to his face if he tells the truth. it's just really well done and I enjoy it.
>>470687 Oh yeah, it's definitely nice to see. Going from N being frustrated in Episode 2 and 3 with V hiding secrets from him and how he doesn't truly know what he is, all the way to N regaining his memories and knowing what he is and eventually understanding what it must be like for Uzi with him keeping secrets from her. It's a super neat parallel.
I guess what I'm saying is that the conflict feels organic. ..No pun intended? Solver pls.
>>470709 These models are far from terrible but I can't for the life of me stand the way their mouths look and work, even when closed they have these protruding lips eugh There's a youtube channel using these for animation and it's some of the goofiest stuff ever cause of deez mouths
It's an absolute shame this shot is made to be so blurry and zoomed in, elsewise it would be one of the best frames, maybe the best frame at all we got so far and especially of Alice as well. >>470723 Yes, the dronetism is over, the writefags left, the drawfags left, pocketsteaks keeps starting fights, even the schizos left, all the droneanons starved due to no content. It has never been more over totally trust me bro
>>470726 Woah, did you like bring up Pocketsteaks for no reason? Even I'm not that much of a no-life loser. My title now belongs to you, strong one. >*SNIFF*
>>470676 Yeah frankly people who talk about the vampiric hunger or whatever being a "dropped plot thread" come off as either pseudo-intellectual nimrods or disingenuous shitstirrers. What kind of story just stops the plot dead every other scene to depict your characters having lunch? A shitty one, unless the wendigo shit is the entire crux of the story like Bones and All or something.
>>470568 I am late but feeling it now, I can only say Alice. Really, I feel she'd deserve some comfort after everything (if she'd want it is another question, but overthinking this stuff never leads anywhere), she probably didn't have much or any really, given how limited Beau is (he's a mute egg in the end). It isn't just 'pitty' either, I think she did really well considering all else that went down over the rough two decades she spent there as well as near all of 6, also I just think she's just sympathetic, she looks great, I like her voice, her antics her laughing, I can relate to her a LOT both in morals, choices and somewhat to a lesser more metaphorical degree also storywise. I just think it'd work. Man look I don't even have any big demands or hopes for 8, all I want is for the situation to not be any worsened and I can live with that, the current circumstances could be a good base for a green if I could write. In the end, yeah, Alice and only Alice, I can 100% say she's the only fictional character I ever felt for like that, which makes it very hard at times to think about what happened in 6, she is not dead luckily but Beau is and Alice isn't going anywhere (probably) without help which likely won't come anytime soon. Just today one of the first things I saw recommended on Youtube was that one 'the moment Alice realized she is f*cked-up' vid, ofc I didn't watch it but suffice to say, I was'nz ready for it, I felt sick from seeing it really. It's sorta unrelated to the question but it messed with my day really, I had to focus on other things, didn't wanna think of drones yet, didn't even watch anything long on YT, but ofc that specific scene comes up and forces itself infront of my mind for hours. Maybe it's just due to stress but I never felt like today, wasn't good
>>470599 Still need to come up with names for the remaining systems
Earth Approves Nuclear Response Against "Apocalyptic" Threat PROXIMA-2, 3002 In an act of desperation not seen since the 7th World War, Earth-Gov announced an executive order repealing the longstanding Nuclear Embargo, effectively granting United Systems Commanders totally unrestricted access to Earth's atomic arsenal. Addressing the General Assembly via uplink, Earth's Consul described the decision as "a difficult, but necessary measure against the Murder Drone menace" while clarifying that the safeguarding of human life remains the highest priority. With the conflict entering it's 5th week and a death toll believed to be in the billions, United Systems forces deployed planetside have been hard pressed into holding defensive positions in the wake of a costly maneuver aimed at retaking the vital commercial starports necessary to conduct what many are calling "a planetary exodus".
>>470746 According to the pamflet in the JcJenson brand pen merch, humans started officially recognising the consumptiom of planets as a "Singularity Event". Wish I had the image on hand.
>>470748 I like the implication the government forced it to be viewed through a Secular lens until the very end, ironically like MatPat convinced most of the fanbase.
Strange out of nowhere question but what do you think of the relationships Jane has had over her time as an OC? Out of any other OC I can’t think of any like her that has so many decently sizable relationships with other OCs. Which are your favorites, or ones you wish got more attention?
>>470749 >>470751 I don't think that's what's being implied by the "Singularity Event" terminology, but you are correct that is the way Matpat and his ilk take the story despite the deeper connotations of the nature of the Absolute Solver. Humanity were very clearly aware that the Solver is something beyond their understanding, it is brought up that they were attempting to understand it. It's not a natural thing, and neither is it a part of the robots it is using that is simply malfunctioning. It is an outside influence, something malicious making its way in.
A lot of the people on the normie side of the fandom are completely clueless about stuff like that, but the reference to the "Singularity Event" is very simply JCJenson being more clinical in refering to the Solver's use of consuming target worlds through the manifestation of the Singularity. It's an accurate descriptor, I mean it is an event where a Singularity is eating everything.
I'm guessing you are referring to the real-life idea of a singularity event with technology? In Murder Drones it's at most a half-cheeky reference to the term. The JcJenson pamflet for the merch pen I was talking about makes it pretty clear "Singularity Event" is referring to the in-universe event of the Solver consuming a planet. Again, I wish I had the image on me.
>>470751 To be fair they don’t have the knowledge we do, and no adds use solver magic. While I’m sure people thought it was strange the sun got blocked out and flesh started growing everywhere, every other angle just looks like a bog standard terminator apocalypse.
>>470754 JCJ at the very least seemed pretty aware of the Solver's fuckery even if they didn't fully understand it, considering they were working on patching out the Solver's possession with the Patch Crucifix on Copper 9.
>>470756 I am aware, I am stating that JcJenson were clearly aware that they were dealing with something beyond their capbility to understand properly ever since the Solver took Earth and began consuming other worlds. The mention of the Singularity Event is moreso JCJ creating a term for the Solver's process of manifesting a Singularity and consuming a planet, which started on Earth and was repeated on all the exoplanets until Copper 9. That was the point I was trying to make, sorry if I wasn't clear. When you start seeing eldritch black holes, matter-manipulating robotic possessed puppets, and assimilated flesh-and-metal creatures wreaking havoc it becomes PRETTY clear that this isn't just a robot uprising. Calling it a Singularity Event isn't JcJenson believing that drones are rebelling, there is no indication of that. They are simply aware that the Singularity is consuming worlds and the an entity (the Solver) is using the drones as hosts to manifest with Cyn at the crux of it all.
>>470756 I could see JCJ going through phases with how they tried to deal with it. Starting from a purely technical viewpoint, leaning into spiritualism when that didn't get results, before going to a combination.
Or maybe the religious path didn't get them anywhere, and they just had to keep the dumb costumes and appearances because they couldn't get replacements at that point.
>>470752 Not sure about Jane, I don't feel anything bad or good about her, her having so many relationships is nice tho. One I'd like to see more of is probably SD-S, not sure if there is much in therms of greens about her
>>470763 being a latecomer to the threads, its a little bizarre seeing all of thses supposedly well established staple OCs everywhere, yet finding next to no info or content about them

>>470771 Oh no, I wasn't calling you a newfag. I was relating to your sentiment of being a latecomer and being flashbanged by long time thread OCs, essentially. It is true some thread OCs get talked about less or none at all after some time. Which ones are you referring to though, if I may ask?
>>470771 I understand what are you saying Friend. Many OCs stories are old, even the new parts, since sometimes the creators move to others or just lost interest over time, most of them are still talked about, some of them are not. No, not everything is ok the booru, it's still expanding, we had an old booru with most of the stuff, but things happened and we had to start the compiling all over again. We should put the mega files into the booru. Do you need info about an exact OC? Which one?

i've been busier than usual lol thought about a funny sketch when i remembered the silly thing with the H/L and their plushies before that i decided to turn into a little character moment. granted this is more like an omake/non canon extra since they don't actually find their plushies in-story >"I know.. L can be quite a handful... and she tends to mess with H sometimes.." >"..but I think.. she's wonderful.." >"Before I decided.. to call off this whole... uhh, disassembly mission.. She was.. she really did try her best and I wish.. I had that enthusiasm of hers.." >"I mean.. I understand... being a squad leader and all, I have to m-maintain some.. formality." >the inebriated Disassembly Drone takes another sip >"... she seemed to have this.. contagious energy.. even when we're not out on our... operations. She's a funny one.. and I.. I really appreciate her being part of this team..." >"... I wouldn't want to see that joy of hers disappear.." >"And H... he's a little hard to approach.. but I think he's nicer than.. that hard shell he puts up..." >"... I wish he'd stop being so... serious.. with me... I mean, look at how he banters and tussle around with L.. after her jokes and pranks.." >she glances at the silent plush >"I know, I know... I shouldn't feel jealous.. I just.. wish he'd open up to me a little.." >she raises her beer mug and chugs the rest of her drink down >"I don't know what these nightmares are.." >"All I can feel is that.. those two are all I have left... now.." >she passes another glance at the plush >"I'll do my best... to take care.. of H and L.." >"Please... take care... of your squad too..." >[Sleep Mode] caught a bit of a slip, oops
>>470777 This is wonderful Friend! I like to see some of SD-B! This actually brings a lot to her character, and one interesting things is how she sees H. This is well made!

>You narrow your eyes at her. >She slowly lowers her hands.
>”You are nicht efen a real soldat, you are just a korporate mercenarier!”
>You slip your hands under your coat and grab onto the belt of your pants. >Yvonne accusingly points a finger at you.
>”If you vere a real soldat, you vould already know zat mercenariers are ze lowest uff ze low. No honor undt duty, people like you haf nein kause undt fight fur money undt ze zrill uff fiolence!”
>You chuckle and share your head. >You slowly push Yvonne’s finger away with your hand.
“Yvonne, my dear kraut, we need to get some things straight. You’re right about me not being a soldier. Technically I’m a spook who does the dirty work nobody else wants to do such as kidnapping, murder and other black-ops shit, but to accuse me of having no principles is flat out wrong. NanoTrasen has existed for a long time and has developed principles and causes which I support and protect…on the dirtier side that is. Also, didn’t really care about the money since I’m paid very well but I do very much enjoy violence. I guess you could say violence breeds violence but I’ve never, ever, hurt someone who’s innocent or doesn’t deserve my wrath.”
Another comic about the Solverless timeline, it’s about appreciating what you have.
It is pretty amazing that being forced to walk on eggshells around someone who used to be your friend because they grew up to be an ill-tempered asshole is somehow not the shortest end of the stick.
>>470797 On the other hand, the Solver timeline has a clear reason everything's gone to shit. The closest thing to that in Solverless is alcohol, and that's arguably harder to fight than an eldritch entity.
I know I said last time was gonna be the last WIP, but it's not enough to finish her today and I don't wanna mess up rushing, but since there isn't exactly an overabundance of Alice content abyways I figure I'd post one more Would say next one will be last but seems as if whatever I announce won't happen so will see
>>470806 Kinda weird how when you take a thread OC from >haha isn't this a funny 1-line premise for a character to >compliant with the lore as we presently understand it results in them becoming terribly sad victims of circumstances beyond their control that actually elicit sympathy
I remember laughing my ass off at stupid-ass Serial Designation I and his gay-ass schizo tomfoolery when the character was first invented but in the context of everything we've learned up to date, his story kind of hurts. The story of any disassembly drone really hurts to think about.
>>470808 I also wonder about John's side of things, but that changes between posts. Sometimes he genuinely hates I, while other times he acts bitter but isn't actually that hateful. I missed if he ever had a concrete backstory that explained that hate.
>>470813 Wonder how John would honestly react if he ever came across a normal nori again, core or in a new body. Probably go into a blind rage or panic just hearing her voice
>>470808 Tragedy is part of the core of the show. I think it's fine because you can definitely do both and the main Disassembly Drones were tragic as they were. It's just thread OCs have a bit more freedom since they're not tied to an animation pipeline and the writefags/drawfags can take their time exploring different ideas. For me, thread OCs can have their funni moments and it wouldn't take away from their solemn moments, but execution is partly important. That comic with Eye is really well done.
>>470822 Idk about you but variety is a little nice. I appreciate SD-X for just being funny droen who flashbanged the other drone with her schizo rays.
>>470824 Just for that one im going to come out with a really sad backstory for SD-X and tell no one but you will all feel it, and you will all know it is depressing

No doubt RT-6 will use it as an excuse to frankenstein the servers again. >That is all. End of announcement.
>"Pfft. What a prude that lady was."
>"That prude is sitting right next to you, Davies."
>"....I mean what an astute lady you are."
>"And now you're going on cleanup duty for this week."
>>470929 Jackalope Alice? Yeah, sounds good. I'm not even that big of an Alicefag, but we do need more drones in bunny suits. >>470930 I don't actually have anything to offer. And I'm writing something right now, actually. >>470928 I wonder how many people would play if the jackpot was a drone bf/gf of your choice instead of the $50k. I assume your face somehow gets fixed up after the fact.
I don't wanna do the background anymore, doing volouring again after some time strained my nerves enough there were so many fucking close calls to ruining the entire thing Finsihed the Alice for now, Jackalipe will have to wait tho cause I am utterly spent
>>470961 One of my favourite pinterest Alice memes, that one is. I was unsure if I should share it, but know what, I'll only forget more and more of it so I'll tell you of the drone related section of a long long dream I had last night. It wasn't like watching an episode at all, rather like 'hearing' a story, all I saw till the last sequences were these claypieces of different colour infront of a bathroom white tile wall, four of them, two purpls, one pink one blue, they were connected to thin strings holding, but also moving them (or being moved by them, can't remember), connected to bare metal convoluted external waterpiping (seen from about 30cm away, upper two pieces /left one purple(Nori)/right one pink (Yeva), both about 2-5cm large and roughly elliptical, lower two were closer together, small and almost round /left purple (Uzi)/right one blue (Emily or Rebecca)) So now that you have somewhat of an idea how it looked, the dtone related part. >It was the end of ep8 (not specifically, might as well have been from season2 but definitely after current events). >Somewhat of a final scene, no idea what was with N and the WDF, they were not present So, for the lore now: Uzi and the blue one did nothing, Nori was very active, reconstructing Yeva (mentally yet only), I hardly remember details of that part, there was little visually, also I sadly didn't hear a Yeva voice, it was silent sound, like thoughts. Nori eventually succeeded in restoring Yeva, it was a relieving part of the ep, meant to be one of the final acts, with usually no more action following/only talking, in any case Yeva talked with Nori, dunno anymore details, in the end Nori decided zhey should azzempt to create bodies for themselves soon, it wasn't told, no one moved, but I could feel tge scene was about to end, Yeva however said they have to do one more thing. What followed was something unreal, very dreamlike feelwise, speaking of emotional impact, not as told by the scene. Yeva communicated that they should 'restore'(?)/'repair'(?) Alice as well before going (idk 'where they'd be going, but it was clear, as soon as zhey went the eoisode would be over), Yeva was the only one arguing for it at all, but she said, and this was the only part of the entire dream spoken clearly, "so she can be a better mother", ofc meaning to Beau I believe, maybe he was the blue passive one, Nori did some 'groan' or something in any case was annoyed or acted so but oh well, it was not the end yet. The last thing actually happening before the dream ended was there being Alice, more or less detailed as she'd be now, her head destroyed and mostly gone, also in the very small scale being held by several strings attached to her arms, nothing else happened visually, (meaning this was the end of the dream itself, all visual action during the earlier parts was tge Nori and Seva clay changing shapes). Overall, some last pieces important: AS didn't appear anywhere/Nori was very influential/it had almost a theme of being some judgement of the characters after the series, hence why Yeva said to remake Alice so she can be better idk I didn't come up with it, I guess it was some sorta compromise between what I feels should have been, how it's popularly perceived, how it was intended in the story and how it was originally thought).
This isn't some thinly veiled attenpt at writing or whatever, I am just telling what happened in best detail and my vest interpretation of it, I feel I will delete it as soon as I wake up thinking it's bueno, but whatever, wrote it out now I might as well post it here
>Be a Worker Drone >Live relatively happy life babysitting a kid >One day just get tossed out of the house and have to fend for yourself. No explanation >Not marked for disassembly, so at least that’s a plus >Wander the streets for weeks. >Growing increasingly filthy and run down. Even take some nicks here and there >Sleeping in cardboard boxes and newspapers >Sometimes find a part missing. Clearly some hobo trying to sell your parts >It’s miserable and depressing and you don’t want it anymore. >One day wake up to a DD looking at you >Freak out, it’s a fucking DD >Tells you she isn’t here to hurt you, she’s just genuinely concerned over a cute little thing like you in such bad shape >Her name is Y or something >She decides to take you to a friend of hers >Don’t know who it is, kinda woozy >They fix up your parts and hose you down before letting you sleep on the couch >Also let you watch movies >Feel happy
In adult Tessa’s defense Skeletessa started that shit by calling her ugly first. Besides we all know who the best undead girl is don’t we?
Trivia: When I first “drew” the Cynwalker she had much darker skin because all I had to go off were those dark shots in Episode 7, I updated the design when the poster came out. ….I have no excuse for turning the Vickers grin™ into a Jack-O’Lantern mouth besides being bad at art.
>>470985 > implying Nori wasn't an actual beast > Khan was just smart and took precautions > implying N would have the same level brain power or foresight
>"Oh, that's the useless pile of junk for scene 28."
>"Oh yeah? Well then how do you explain this! A second Outpost 3!"
>"But Mr Doorman, everyone needs an understudy!"
>"Well you got me on that one..." >Cue Khan looking at his poorly made double. >"But why do we need him?" >Khan points over to SD-N dressed as a clown juggling Uzi and her classmates. >"This job gets very stressful, Mr Doorman"
Made a plushie with Switch's new look. And yeah, I did trace over BHL-Anon's plushie design because quite frankly I really do not like the previous plushie I did, it looks bad and I just really do not wanna look at it.
>>470994 I changed her design back in march when I got my drawing tablet, reason is I thought she looked bland in my opinion and decided to change some things. When I'm feeling it I might add her cap, duffel bag and hip pouch.
>be in solverless universe >DD are used as generally used for law enforcement or government jobs >you get pulled over by a N unit >he gives you a piece of paper that says "please stop driving 200 mph, you might hurt yourself" with a frowny face
>>470997 Wait a minute Alice dies by getting her head stomped But she was a lab subject All lab subjects were zombie drones Zombie drones have them flesh cores
>>471005 You are a little wrong on the details but the conclusion is right anyways. Alice is a zombiedrone as you said, meaning the core-failsafe didn't work/misfire during her first 'death' (we don't know what happened to the CFL subjects, were they picked up as already rebooted zombiedrones all over the planet or did they massmurder drones at CFL in order to farm zombiedrones?), in any case she experienced FATAL ERROR at least once before and, although I cannot recall what this was based on right now, I'm 99,9% sure zombiedrones' failsafe is permanently disfunctional. Which means Alice still is a clean, Solverfree drone and as such also has a 'normal' Solver-free core, just that she is now safe from the risk of self destruct after FATAL ERROR. >Current situation The details and really the overall extent of the damage suffered by Alice in 6 are few and vague, with differences from scene to scene (the close up shot almost looks as if the helmet splits clean in the middle during the first part of the foot connecting, however this isn't the same case with a sizewise unclear section of the lower head, after the Sentinel leaves the frame a close large shape can still be seen, proving that the head wasn't crushed to the extent of breaking utterly apart, rather severely indented, the part breaking of seems to have been the helmet), during the close up it looks as if most of her head is gone, the background shots tho show a slim part of white (talkin of the above shot, with Sentinels closing in on V) can clearly be identified, and while in the end there is not enough detail to prove the overall exact condition of her head, this part still demonstrates enough of her lower head being intact to allow us to claim that the neck/body is damage free. What this means is that, while all of her head is 100% black in these shots, there is no continued oilloss, further proven by the oilpuddle not changing a single bit during all shots of her 'dead' body, even nearly a minute after the incident, meaning she won't be 'finished off' by progressive leaking either. This, together with the lack of Sentinels(not that they did much to what they considered eliminated bodies anyways, proven by DD wrecks at the entrance still having cores) and bugs in the labs leaves a, considering the circumstances and what could have been, rather good condition for Alice being preserved as is for pretty long. So, keep in mind that with >Core undamaged >No progressive leaking >Overall body in great condition >No further dangers around Alice is already not dead right now, there is no need to be sad (cause she won't be Solvered either), there are even very good condizions to fix her, but this is were another problems begins, or rather multiple. The most obvious one is, no one is around to help Alice, no one knows of Alice and those who'd know wouldn't do a thing. Next there are two far more urgent ones, the type of thing keeping me awake at night because these two things are actively dangerous and 7 made it worse in that aspect. First, the planet might blow up, this is no 100% death sentence but due to close proximity to CFL, which will be where shit hits the fan, she will be very close to a very violent event, it wouldn't help her in any case. Second and that is a little vague, the cores from the oven could be dangerous, if they were to enter matter collection mode? Unsure of it really, however there is one thing that can help that scenario, namely the utter lack of attention paid to this aspect yet, if they cores show up again then most likely without addressing what happened to Alice (if anything new were to happen even), I'd say in that scenario Nothing changes for me at all, they would need to mention Alice again/need to show anything of her which they won't do anyways so I'd say we are safe.
Not sure if I forgot anything but feels as if I didn't miss anypoints now. One last thing: remember how Thad, a normal, non-zombie- non-Solver-drone was impaled/cut by J in the pilot? He healed from it. Now, I don't say it is certain at all, especially paying mind to the (while unclear) severe damage suffered by Alice, but it implies drones can heal. Or not, maybe he was repaired smh, in any case a nice thought. Just need to pray 8 doesn't fuck things up and we have perfect conditions to make our own story with Alice
>>471005 The flesh-cores are a direct consequence of the Absolute Solver, not just merely being a Zombie Drone. Yes, Alice was likely a Zombie Drone due to being a CFL test subject. But she clearly was not a Solver host, only a TINY percentage of Zombie Drone cases are capable of the Solver manifesting within their AI after coming back from death. Alice diffrentiates herself from Solver hosts like Uzi and Nori, calling them "witches" because she is not a host herself. She's part of the percentage of drones that experience no further effects after coming back online after their core rejects termination.
Mirror's Edge + Murder Drones, would it work? I can just imagine a bunch of Worker Drone runners parkouring their way through a city while Disassemblers chase them.

>>471057 Trial, Error, and watching art tutorials on a near constant basis throughout my life. But mostly just trial and error pushing through constant frustration. (Even still I dont feel like an artist at all. Other drawfags can produce like 100x faster than me)
>>471050 (reposting from trash) >Mindbroken Jane This is some good shit anon, very based work! Y is definitely gonna need some serious mind breakage of her own
>>471057 >be me >have a lusty desire to draw beefcakes (big men) >draw for years >reach the point in life where you decide to do art school >learn art school is agony and makes you feel hate >use hate to draw your own shit and share that hatred But seriously, it is a matter of observing your surroundings, and understanding the shapes more than trying to make everything "perfect", working with timers helps A LOT with making rapid sketches or poses I'd recommend the page quickpose to try a lot of figure drawing and get the grip on how poses work https://files.catbox.moe/twl5gu.png
>>471058 So, no secret juice? No deal with the devil? Do I have to put in actual effort? Damnation, but thanks for the tip >>471060 Hate is a powerful tool Oh, thanks, I want to learn to draw, and this too will help Still no deal with the devil, so, damnation
i cant get over the fact other drawfags drawings here are much better than mine and they always get more traction its just killing my motivation to draw drones really
>>471062 Oh another rapist OC and this one has a nose for some odd reason. Anyways it looks alright but that nose is driving me nuts I need to snip it off

Earth Shattered - System in Chaos EARTH-4 (Formerly Mars), 3002 THIS IS A SNN BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Although we have yet to reestablish communication with both officials and our own affiliates stationed at the Luna refugee sites, new shocking images from the Olympus Mons Observatory has confirmed that the leaked feed streaming in from JcJenson Earth Satellite-4 is indeed genuine. What was originally reported weeks ago as "anomalous terraforming" across the Earth's surface appears to have reached a cataclysmic criticality, with miles-wide surface fissures now visibly cracking the planet apart in real-time. While it is still unclear as to what exactly is transpiring, one scientist within MCIT indicated in a now-viral statement that what's transpiring on Earth could be categorized as a 'Singularity Event' based on early reviews of deep-space astronomical sensors. "The cascading gravitational distortions appear to be consistent with those theorized to be caused by a self-sustaining quantum black hole. Frankly such a thing should be impossible, but if it really IS happening then there's no telling just how bad it will get." When inquired about what actions the Martian public could take to ensure their safety, the only answer given was as follows; "Flee. Do not stop until you are clear of the system."
Despite MCIT officially disavowing the statement as "needlessly fearmongering" reports of gridlocked traffic and packed starports are pouring in from across the Red Planet. There has been no official word from the United Systems regarding this development, although we at SNN have been informed by Mars City officials that an emergency conference with US delegation is currently underway. With large portions of the intergalactic fleet still scheduled to arrive system-side within the coming months, rumors are already circulating of a preemptive US-led mandatory evacuation of all inner system colonies & settlements. We will continue to bring updates as this story develops.
>>471075 Switch would just feed her to the Supermatter Crystal, there ain't enough nitrogen and plasma to keep it going so she has to improve to keep power flowing.
>>471082 Forgot about the supermatter, I've always been a singularity farmer. Maybe a bit quick and clean, but you could drop a one-liner about how all she's good for is keeping the lights on for a few hours.
>>471075 I find it funny how switch is insane and brutal enough her mere presence scares y to her bones or processor in this case i dont think even phi would do anything if switch hurts y despite being obsessed with her
>>471102 https://files.catbox.moe/cza8dh.png >was So long as I'm alive she'll never fade away. Man I need to start doing some shorter greentexts again.
>>471090 >she's just as likely to do something FAR worse to Jane if she learns about her past. What do you mean "just as likely"? She IS going to do something far worse, it would make even Y not look in her direction, not even be in the same building. Let's just say that it would involve a lot of mental and physical torture, enough to turn her into a former shell of herself before eventually hanging her from the ceiling by her own entrails.
The file limits were counted wrong in the new system, I'm working on a solution for that.
Additionally I've re-set the image cap to 350 so you don't end up with 1000+ post threads, which browsers will struggle to render. Please make a new thread once the thread gets so big.
>>471120 Let's hope we don't fill this board with threads since we hit the cap quite quickly, and if we need to create one before the 1000 posts every time, this could get filled with drone threads, and we don't want to be an annoyance
>>471128 The other good suggestion was /lvas/ for Liam Vickers Animations and Stories, but his other works aren't really big enough and it'll probably be a while before he does something new.
>>471135 Catalog and post counter use the same numbers initially, so when one is wrong, so is the other. They are counted from the database, but since the files got decoupled into a separate table, the counter mixed the numbers up and calculated the wrong file count.
Threads can have their numbers refreshed on the browser side, ie. it will count the amount of stuff you have open in your browser. This is for the post updater. It also means that it overwrote the wrong values that got initially loaded from the database.
Anyway this thread stopped bumping already so I'll just close it.
