I've been particularly busy and only just noticed the downtime notice for the booru. Can't make any promises but I'll at least aim at doing a couple dozen more uploads between now & then, with my "usual" upload sprees ideally resuming in time for the booru coming back up.

On top of taking care of keeping my tagging from falling below the current 'standard', I've also gotten pretty close to having my personal files reorganized to help facilitate efficient uploads (with minimal risk of duplicates)

Answered yesterday already, so for short, all my creations (drawings) are Alice&Beau with two OC exceptions, there were attempts at others but it's just not the same, at least with the things I've come up with so far, tho now I remember I technically drew N once when I wanted to make smth for the femanon Alicegreen, but I ran out of space and it died. What I like? Everything Alice is very good, but the long ones, with developments slowly happening as well as more subtle evolutions, I love the most. As for other topics, it just depends on if wether the scene I first read is good, I liked your old Octobre 26th story with a police DD a lot, anything with 'good atmosphere' and some depth, feeling as if there is more to be revealed but not too on the nose, idk how to describe it better but stories that begin with this feel are always good.

I did draw half a dozen things for Ongezellig threads back in late summer before they went to shit I remember now, but drones are the absolute majority still. It's really just that ever since they stopped making Clone Wars about 10 years ago until mid 2023 I hadn't watched any animated shows, so there was just a long drawingbreak. Even back then I did barely draw movie/show things, so I luckily could make steep progress getting back, but in the end the lack of experience with such a topic together with initial success made my goals overtake my skills by far, which lead me to now (longest break from md drawing yet).

Slow things normally are better since people have more time to develop the story. The first scene must be captivating, that is what I read somewhere recently, to catch attention; did you? honestly half the reason im trying to keep tabs on older SD's design choice is that ive been trying to avoid overshadowing old ideas, and instead treat them as they are, older versions of the same idea.

lore wise treating them as just older versions of sentinel drones, probably not produced like that much if at all anymore, but they are still running around in whatever world you have em in.

For mine I'm just treating them as the latest and fastest way to make sentinel drones, which comes with their own news issues, but are being produced regardless.

it can also mean i can deviate more from the standard more like what Ive been doing, but I'm still keeping tabs on the old ideas like a car company would do with old car models: see what customers like and improve on it till you have yourself a newer, better car.

Relationships exist in stories and to root for 2 characters slowly getting together is only human. But to be so obsessed with shipping (the Jessa bit in the older post) to the point of being unable to appreciate the bigger picture of the story. Maybe these are just young fans y'know, but man (I'm aware there are older fans who still act childishly). Given how broad and otherwise 'sensitive' the topic of spirituality is amongst humans (let alone non-humans) in real life, I tend to reserve judgements for that sort of stuff in fiction to the discretion of the author. In the case of Murder Drones that means the answer as to whether the Worker Drones have "souls" is entirely up to Liam.
That being said I would personally say that there is a VERY strong case one could make for the argument that Worker Drones in fact have souls. The parallel of the Disassembly Drone "backups" being saved in order to eternally serve The Solver is a pretty blatant example, but there's also the fact that drone cores (and by extension the singularities contained within drone cores) appear to be what houses their 'AI'.
It's definitely one of the more interesting concepts to think about, given how nearly it intersects at the crossroads of science fiction & eldritch horror

Anybody want to lore dump on how a post-solver Human society would look like? Presumably after the AS gets defeated sometime in canon and how humans survived the massacre.

Yes, it takes a lot of effort to start something knowing it will go on for a long time and take a lot of work before it really gets going, so they are rarer. About the first scene, absolutely agree with it, I think I also heard it said here once. Of course it depends on opinion and preference in the end, but if the first part of a story I see here is intriguing(atmosphere worldwise[meaning not too much AU, I don't dislike AUs per se but there are many going on requiri g time to get into, not to mention many get abandoned at some point when only one anon writes them]), or has good action/tension.
Idk it honestly is difficult or not possible really to generalize what makes out a captivating start, in the end it also depends on subconcious influences of writing style/narration type and also current mood, for example your old green with the detective DD fit well with the time (rain irl/got home for the day) and was also a great example for the 'background' lore, feeling like a deeper unfolding story has been planned since the start.

It's alright, 6 'episodes' overall (in Dutch), but there are compilations of the entire thing (24 minutes only) dubbed in Spanish and English, dubs are of high quality.

Well, I hope I see it someday.
It's hard, it needs to be a strong start to grab attention, then, a slow follow-up to develop things well. I have some greens that are pretty much an AU since the world is pretty different from MD.
I just finished playing Disco Elysium at that time, and I had a lot of inspiration, I saw some videos about detectives too, and a lot of things to grab inspiration from; I guess the mood at the time of reading it is also important, and to be honest, I thought a little about the history between them on my mind, old stories they had, and let them just mention things, like the reader knows those stories already, no explanation, since normal people do not explain things both already know, or that was my thinking.
Good to know, I really need to check it out.

This is actually what inspired my lore dump. Eden is one of my favorite thread creations, and I will probably take heavy inspiration from it if I continue writing this AU. I have a small hope that we may see something like Eden if a Season 2 comes out, but it’s mostly just wish fulfillment.

They were probably the most successful at the beginning of the Solver’s attack, but they only had so much food on board their ships before they resorted to desperate means. I feel as if most probably died or integrated with other colonies. Some probably managed to escape the system and are long gone.

Now this concept I haven’t heard of before, but it piqued my interest compared to the rest aside from Eden. ANY humans remaining would be giga-xenophobic towards sentient drones and want them destroyed, but assuming Uzi ascends, the power imbalance would be WAY too in the favor of Drones. This is if Uzi retains her Solver Powers; in which case the Coalition will be forced to play nice with them. I love human-drone interactions that aren’t just lewd, which is also probably why I loved the Office!AU.
>Hidden Humans
I won’t write touch too much on them since many greens with a similar concept have been written. Seeing drones deal with something so different from them and vice-versa is so different. Huge segregation would probably take place at the beginning, but would better over the years once they realize the Solver is truly gone.

Basically a guarantee in post-apocalyptic settings. Could be fun writing them as the most progressive for having drones in their ranks.
