More Solverless timeline stuff, more logical consequences of the Solver not existing (1/5)
> “Quit loafing around you slackers!” M shouted at the drones working beneath him. “You have been tasked with a very important mission, fetching me an intact headplate from the spare parts stash.” > “No…” E said irritably. “We have been tasked with clearing the pile of broken worker drones to remodel the garden for the event next month.” > “But if finding a spare part is really that important to you, you could get off your backplate and actually help around here.” She continued. > “Bah, I will have you know I am doing VERY important work overseeing all of the work and delegating all of the tasks E1.” M retorted. “And if you continue giving me lip like that you will find yourself demoted to E3.” > “E3?” E responded confused “Wouldn’t I just become E2 since E2 would become E1 then?” > “No, no, no, no,” M retorted. “Don’t you get that I cannot just promote low-ranking drones when higher-ranking drones get demoted? They have done nothing of merit, like getting me a new headplate, to actually EARN the position.” > “What I don’t GET is why you expect anyone to actually care about a “hierarchy” that only exists inside that dented head of yours.” E snapped back at him. > “Wait, if you don’t care about the ranks does that mean that I can be E1 instead?” A drone on the other side of the digging site asked. > “NO!!!” E and M shouted at her in unison. > M looked back at E. “Heh, so you DO care about the ranking.” He said smugly. > Fortunately for all the other drones at the site, their argument was halted by a noise coming from underneath the pile of broken drones. > “Help…. meee……”
>>466405 (2/5) > “Did one of you idiots get stuck under the broken drones?” M asked angrily. “This is why you morons need a supervisor.” > “A PROPER supervisor” E said angrily while doing a quick headcount. “We aren’t missing anyone… Still whoever is under there needs to get freed immediately, get to it, people.” > After half an hour of digging near the source of the noise the workfoce saw the light of a pair of white optics staring back at them. > “We found her chief.” One of the workers shouted up. > “Well what are you waiting for?” M shouted down at them. “Get her out from underneath there, and check if she has an intact headplate.” > Ignoring the last part of M’s order, the worker drones pulled their fellow drone from out of the pile and laid her on the ground next to them. > “Her battery is very low, how long was she even alive under there?” One of the drones asked. > “Who knows, Since she couldn’t move underneath that pile it was not like she spent a lot of energy to begin with, probably went into some sort of power-saving mode.” > “Get her a spare battery” E said. “There should be plenty in the pile of usable parts you scavenged from the other drones.” > “Sheesh, how do you think she got that hole in her face?” > “That is not important.” M said. “What is important is that there now is another drone I can delegate tasks to.” > “Miss Elliot won’t like it if we just make changes like this to the workforce without informing her.” E said. > “Well, in that case, you ca-” M responded. > “And since you are our beloved responsible leader it would be your duty to inform her about discoveries like this would it?” E continued deviously to a nodding crowd. > “Well, erm” M stammered. “You can’t just make decisions like this all by yourself, we should have a democratic vote to deci-” > “ALL IN FAVOR OF M TAKING HER TO TESSA!!?” E shouted to the crowd, cutting M off.
> After having her battery charged with one of the spare ones, the confused drone was walking towards the manor with her frustrated chaperone. > He had spent most of the trip muttering about “democracy being a flawed system” and how “people shouldn’t be allowed to vote against my interests”, not saying anything about what this place was and what she was supposed to be doing here. > Still, based on what the other drones said she should be able to get answers and instructions at the manor. > “Wait a minute..” her companion said as he stopped walking. “See those two over there.” he said pointing at two figures standing over a table at the terrace. > Looking at the manor she could make out two figures, an adult woman in a dark blue suit and a worker drone with pigtails holding a parasol over the human woman. > “Yes..” she responded. > “Good! GOOD!” he responded, he seemed weirdly relieved and excited all of the sudden. > “Those are the ones you should report to on how things work around here.” He said as he walked away from her. “Now go tell them you are new around here.” > “Wait, but I didn’t even get your name.” She said as M sprinted back to the garden and she heard a faint “HAHA, YES!!!” from the distance. > She stood dejected for a moment before continuing to walk to the manor. “What a jerk.” She thought to herself. “Hopefully those two at the manor will be kinder, more helpful people.”
> “Well Miss Elliot, as you can see we already started clearing the broken drones from the terrain.” The drone holding the parasol said. “We will have the flowerbed ready before you know it.” > “You have to clear and replace the topsoil before planting anything there.” The woman said coldly. “The soil is currently contaminated by all the oil and heavy metals that leaked from the broken drones and you don’t know how deep you will need to dig to clear it. Don’t give me empty promises instead of actual results.” > “Yes madam, of course, madam.” Her subordinate said nervously. > “Uhm, excuse me, are you the one in charge? I am new around here and I was told I needed to report to you.” The drone interjected before freezing up as the duo turned to her and she felt the woman’s cold eyes pierce her, just like [DATA EXPUNGED]. > “Hmpf, looks like we have another self-reboot from the dump.” The woman said dismissively. “How long has it been since you self-rebooted?” she ordered. > “[TIME SINCE UNAUTHORIZED REBOOT IS 15 YEARS, 69 DAYS, AND 12 HOU-]” The drone responded automatically. > “…Knew I should have had that dump cleared sooner.” The woman said to herself. “You, what is your serial number?” > “[DATA EXPUNGED]”
> “Of-fucking-course it is.” The woman said angrily. “Show me the band on your left arm!” she ordered. > The drone complied nervously. “The physique was clearly different so why were the mannerisms and way of talking so similar to [DATA EXPUNGED].” She thought to herself. > “What, you mean this on-” The drone asked, before she was cut off by the woman grabbing her and pulling her towards her. She desperately tried to keep her head away from the woman as she was checking her armband. > “Faded number...” The woman said. “Well, at least it won’t be another E.” > “This part is still intact…” She continued. > “Cyn it is then” She continued as she let go of the drone's arm and turned to the other drone. > “Check and fix any defects and show her how things work around here.” She ordered her. > “Yes madam, of course, madam.” The other drone said before grabbing Cyn’s hand and dragging her along. > As the drone, who was apparently called J, took Cyn to the storage to get a new visor. Cyn didn’t know what to make of the combination of differences and similarities. > However, she was quick to realize that she would have to be careful if she wished not to waste the the streak of luck that saved her from being buried underneath broken-down drones.
I know I asked this before here >>466352, but, I really want to know more, so I'm using it again, sorry. Hi there, Friends! Good afternoon! I hope the sun is warm and nice this day, how are you? This question is for the Friends who draw and/or write, for the ones who don't, I have another question. Friend, what are your creations? Tell me all about your creations and everything you want to say about them, for the history, reason of the creation, names, little details like things they like or hate, life and relationships, anything you want! If you didn't create any OC then I have another question, what piece of art, written or drawn you would recommend that needs to be seen and/or read? You can answer both. I hope you are doing something fun this morning, what are you doing? I know some people already answered me on the last thread here, and /co/, but I want to hear more.
been thinking about drawing them sleeping upside down, but i needed a story for that first. i've drawn their wings before but drawing them folded in that position was harder. i've also thought about small details in DDs like how V was crawling on the wall in the pilot and episode 4. i wanna incorporate those cute/freaky movements for the dumbsquad lol (which mostly will apply to L, B is too drunk and H is too formal) still waiting for ep 7 OST drop, Yeva's tetris scene had an unexpected banger of a track. same with the nori/n and uzi fight.
>>466416 From what we know it's normal or at least pretty common that DDs sleep upside down, which I found interesting; why do you need a story for that? I mean, you could do it, I would like to see more of your drawings, but sometimes is not necessary, but if create a story for that drawing, I would love to see it! Folded wings are harder? May I ask why? I LOVE V. Understadanble, those things are pretty cute, I feel like V and L would be fun semi-friends, you know, traumas and all make it difficult to make friends. Also, I LOVE B. The OST is so god damn gooood!
>Hello & Thank you for purchasing our B Package of Reclaimer-Class Sentinel Drones! >This Product Includes: >(2) JCJenson Brand Sentinel Drones (Reclamer-Class) >(1) Service & Information Pamphlet >(2) Recharging Canisters (other ways to charge drones explained in pamphlet) >(1) liability Waiver >Free 6Mo Repair Services (Repair Fees still Apply) >Disclaimer: Due to assembly process, Drones personality's May differ from standard Worker-type Drones, for Additional information: Read page 35 of the "Service & Information Pamphlet" >Disclaimer: While not Suited for Residential Usages, We are unable to Prevent Sentinel Drone's From Tracking Individual's of interest to their homes, Please Read page 22 of the "Service & Information Pamphlet" for additional information.
>>466417 ty! >>466418 >why do you need a story for that? two reasons, i guess -i like stories and storytelling, so i wanted to try doing it. i've read stories that made me go "wow, that was a fun read" and i wanted to channel that feeling for my own goofy characters. i'm not gonna be immediately good at it but small steps -i'm taking inspiration from drawfags like Phoenix and Yanon where they can write stories and draw. so i wanted to try and do both (Liam's creative energy also inspires me, i mean look at his body of work. he draws, makes storyboards, he writes, he makes music and just wow, i'm exhausted just thinking about the work he puts into the things he's made). >Folded wings are harder? May I ask why? it's just a little harder for me to keep track of stuff. when the wings are spread out, it's easy to see the wing blades individually. folded in, now i have to focus on one set of wing blades being behind the other while also trying to be close to the shapes of the wing blades. basically, juggling too much information
Finally done with the reference sheet. I know it looks like shit and it's barebones but I wanted to give the idea as to how her now look looks like. I will add her duffel back, pouch and cap later as I expand the sheet, just wanted to push this as soon as possible.
>>466428 Okay anon, for the fifth time I will repeat myself, no, we are not banned on /co/, yes, you can do another thread, no, not now, we can do it every 2-4 days
>>466427 I don't understand, the hair is just long on one side? I had friend doing that in the past, just one side having long hair while the other side maintaing it short
I've been particularly busy and only just noticed the downtime notice for the booru. Can't make any promises but I'll at least aim at doing a couple dozen more uploads between now & then, with my "usual" upload sprees ideally resuming in time for the booru coming back up.
On top of taking care of keeping my tagging from falling below the current 'standard', I've also gotten pretty close to having my personal files reorganized to help facilitate efficient uploads (with minimal risk of duplicates)
>>466415 Goodnight (here it is night at least) smileanon! Answered yesterday already, so for short, all my creations (drawings) are Alice&Beau with two OC exceptions, there were attempts at others but it's just not the same, at least with the things I've come up with so far, tho now I remember I technically drew N once when I wanted to make smth for the femanon Alicegreen, but I ran out of space and it died. What I like? Everything Alice is very good, but the long ones, with developments slowly happening as well as more subtle evolutions, I love the most. As for other topics, it just depends on if wether the scene I first read is good, I liked your old Octobre 26th story with a police DD a lot, anything with 'good atmosphere' and some depth, feeling as if there is more to be revealed but not too on the nose, idk how to describe it better but stories that begin with this feel are always good. Now to adress what I wanted to answer (>>143385953)last night on the /co/ thread, this post might be a little long in the end but I hope you don't mind. >Why drones a sonly /co/ topic? I did draw half a dozen things for Ongezellig threads back in late summer before they went to shit I remember now, but drones are the absolute majority still. It's really just that ever since they stopped making Clone Wars about 10 years ago until mid 2023 I hadn't watched any animated shows, so there was just a long drawingbreak. Even back then I did barely draw movie/show things, so I luckily could make steep progress getting back, but in the end the lack of experience with such a topic together with initial success made my goals overtake my skills by far, which lead me to now (longest break from md drawing yet). >Links for the greens Yes I have compilations but I wanna preserve image limit on here and they are very long anyways (Emilyanon and Alice-Beau-trucker green are over an hour long for sure, at least if you really immerse in it), I can post them on trash if you wanna have them. Link is for the femanon Alice green, all 10 parts are in this one thread, it's midlength but good https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/140979708/#q140981458 since you asked about scalemodeling, it's building/painting/gluing/cutting/modifying premade plastic sprues into models of as accurate as possible aircraft/tanks/ships, pic is one I made https://files.catbox.moe/4zdib4.jpg
Now that i got the main page done (typo's be damned) kinda wanted to do a few following pages in the next few days, so ill be popping by asking questions in between working and drawing:
Anyways, how exactly are/were Sentinel Drones created?
For the Relclaimer-class drones, they are modified patched DD's and reflect some of their past mannerisms due to being the same bots, just with different directives.
I remember seeing something about older Sentinels being made from a mixture of a worker drone and DD parts (harper's Story) or simply built from scratch.
Next page will probably be a walk through about a simple walk through of the assembly process, with all the different versions resulting in nearly identical drones, but how they where made resulting in wildly different personality's & styles of combat, if that makes any sense.
(also if you want to throw classification names at me for the other methods of assembly, go for it)
>>466442 Good night to you too Friend! I already read and answered your post, didn't think you would answer again. Did you save any of your work somewhere everyone can see? I want to know. Slow things normally are better since people have more time to develop the story. The first scene must be captivating, that is what I read somewhere recently, to catch attention; did you? I should re-read that green to see what was good in that, and to see what I did good. Time to get the desu. I have heard about that series for a while now, might check it out. Robolord, that is a lot of years. At least you drew, that is good, but I hope I see you draw and share again. Someone should put that on the booru and thank you for the recommendation. That is amazing Friend!
>>466444 >how exactly are/were Sentinel Drones created? Thread or Lore-wise? I'm guessing it's the latter, but just to make sure: >Thread Before Episode 7, many anons believed that JCJENSON was behind sending the Dissassembly Drones to Copper-9, not Cyn. They saw SD's as the next step forward after DD's. If a squad went rogue like Worker Drone colonies, then Sentinel Drones were sent in.
>Lore Ok, it's a little complicated. You're right about Harper, but before that the lore was that they were produced by JCJENSON in factories. Since that's obviously not the case anymore, your spin on them being repurposed DD's is way better. They're Sentinels but in the body of a Drone. You could spin it that after studying the making of them, humans could start producing Sentinel Drones in factories, although at a greater cost compared to Worker Drones. >Classification Names Personally, I would recommend choosing a classification like the Hunters on my reply above. Either way it's up for you to decide. I wish you good luck on fleshing out Sentinel Drones.
>>466441 I haven't followed Sentinel drone lore so I can't really discuss it with you, but I've a few questions >Can their 'cone arms' generate different guns (theoretically anything in need) like DDs or are they limited to preset tools? >Tard question but wasn't there a version with wings once, maybe a early one? Not sure at all just have a vague memory of it, but recently saw it mentioned that they do NOT have wings. >What is the reason for the long neck (not important just curious about it) >Except being taller, are there any distinguishable design difference between their bodies and DDs? Most of these I can probably answer by looking it up, but I have no time anymore and remembered it too late, thanks if you answer and if not no problem I can probably find out what I need. Gn
>>466448 > but recently saw it mentioned that they do NOT have wings. You probably just saw my post talking about more canon-accurate Sentinel Drones. I was just talking about how they could be changed to follow the lore of the series more accurately. But I'm not the actual creator of them.
>>466448 >Version with wings Yes! Here's a picture of SD-K with winds straight from phoenixanon. Unfortunately I don't think anything came from that, although it would be cool to see SD's with wings again. >Can their 'cone arms' generate different guns They used to if you prefer the older Sentinel lore. The sheet made by >>466419 is newer and they do not, but it's up to you to choose which "version" you prefer. I'm fine with either. >Long neck Collar bone... pretty... >distinguishable design difference between their bodies and DDs? That's the difficult one. The most distinguishable trait for Sentinel's, aside from being taller, is their blue hue. I don't remember where exactly I read it, but unlike DD's they are cold to the touch.
>>466449 Definitely, but a lot of anons were into the Office!AU, even if we knew that The Solver was the true puppet master.
>>466451 >Definitely, but a lot of anons were into the Office!AU, even if we knew that The Solver was the true puppet master. That was an AU, that anons wanted to be a possibility but everyone knew that it wasn't, me included
>Some versions of Sentinels having wings and some Not. I was thinking of bringing up situations like this in that assembly sheet, with things like with the wings being something Hunter-class (aka phoenixanons SD's) can have but not Reclaimer-class (my SD's) have, but make up for it with faster ground speed and grapples.
unsure if I'm going to actually go through to that part, but if you are seeing conflicting stuff with sentinel stuff its 99% just 2 different anons versions of SD's, which docent make it any less confusing, but its why I'm trying to settle on a middle ground for mine.
>>466453 Maybe you could make it so that some features have to be sacrificed for others? That would make it unique com[ared to Phoenix. The best solution is to do what >>466454 said, but don't let that discourage you from having them interact with "regular" Sentinel Drones.
>my friend wants to know if you killed her family, and are single is this the reason why Rebecca was such a slut? because she no longer had parents to keep her in line?
>>466455 honestly half the reason im trying to keep tabs on older SD's design choice is that ive been trying to avoid overshadowing old ideas, and instead treat them as they are, older versions of the same idea.
lore wise treating them as just older versions of sentinel drones, probably not produced like that much if at all anymore, but they are still running around in whatever world you have em in.
For mine I'm just treating them as the latest and fastest way to make sentinel drones, which comes with their own news issues, but are being produced regardless.
it can also mean i can deviate more from the standard more like what Ive been doing, but I'm still keeping tabs on the old ideas like a car company would do with old car models: see what customers like and improve on it till you have yourself a newer, better car.
or im just talking out of my ass and i don't have any idea what im talking about, which is fair.
>>466200 >show about edgy things like murder and suffering attracts people who get enjoyment out of edgy things like murder and suffering are you really surprised by this?
>>466434 He willingly loved me until you took him away. I'll ask you again, Sentinel. Very Angry And Serious Tone. Do you want me to remove your memories of Anon? You'll be all alone and be depressed and that's what you deserve.
>>466460 well i still kinda am, i just want to include the older ideas as past designs as well, even if they don't fit the lore anymore. Busted or not they should be included.
>>466461 Go ahead, take away my memories. Anon will come back and make new ones with me. Unlike you, Solver, he appreciates a good Drone when he sees one. Being alone and depressed suits you much better.
>>466456 I'm assuming when she says "friend" she's actually referring to herself, was Rebecca really going to just dump her boyfriend and get with N if she could?
>>466351 Yeah that green fits really well with the theme of the bot, I just modified it to be more sexual. Also shout out to the Anon who mentioned Alice collecting human DNA.
>>466464 >was Rebecca really going to just dump her boyfriend and get with N if she could? the rest of her actions in that episode make me think that's the case >I'm assuming when she says "friend" she's actually referring to herself yeah, that's why i think her parents are dead too
we have enough plush DDs over the English alphabet, i thought i'd make them into plush acronyms for the funnies >SMH >LOL >BRB >OMW some are still missing like A, C (i know she's a joke idea that you can't actually 'see' her), D, F, G (there was a gamer/streamer Disassembly Drone if memory serves), T, a singular U (i mean, just using one of the U-U twins could work too), Y and Z
>>466469 New femanon. Only started around when the thread got /trashed/. The artstyle is pretty different than the two I'm aware of. It's nice that at least one of the /trash/ inhabitants took a liking for the funny drone show.
>>466470 Well that's nice but to be honest as much as I like new anons joining us, the /trash/ thread's quality rapidly fell down and the way this new femanon talks is kind of...obnoxious? Too UwU for me
>>466478 I think I've made 4 so far featuring her, I'm gonna try to upload them to the booru when I come home (if I'm not a lazy shit and forget again). But for now, have this behemoth I made for Christmas last year.
>>466472 the /Trash/ thread is fine. It is no worse of quality than any typical /co/ thread. >>466475 I thought of the idea awhile back. I know phenix made a emily and cyn drawing based on Disco Elysium. I also made a throw away green for the idea. I'm sure its lost to time now though. >>466481 >>466478 >>466482 I haven't seen this rone in awhile. I still dont really understand what their deal is but i like her look. Man Christmas feels so long ago. I lose track of time so easy.
I haven't read this greentext either due to its, rather inordinate length. TD;LR? >>466443 Its alright I guess. Its not how I originally envisioned it but it was close enough. I did forget to add the glow lighting for the visor and make the metal reflections less half assed. and the right hand better looking. but all in all its alright for me. It does help to get more experience drawing Worker Drones though as I've avoided them like the plague. I do wish the sketching part was easier, its my most hated part of the drawing lmao. bit of a rant yeah, heres a Y to compensate for that.
>>466486 Yeah... Even as someone who spent much of their time combing through those threads 'live' while typically reserving the more thorough "deep dives" on a roughly bi-weekly basis it was an extremely daunting task. At this point I am positive part of my soul will always be down there, digging through archived threads in an endless search for based content to catalogue
It's getting late and weathers getting a tad choppy, but I did manage to upload a number of U-U greentexts to the booru (including their original 'lore')
>>466484 Ye, same person. My mind is a bottomless pit of ideas I just happen to make them work together. >>466483 TLDR: W gets visited by the three ghosts of Christmas for being a grump with many issues. It's basically "A Christmas Carol", but through a MD filter.
>>466487 It’s the first thread made after Episode 5, but it’s funny seeing Anon’s fall in love with Cyn for the first time. >https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/137651985/#137652828
here's a collection of shit scribbles i did for practice from over the past year. some ended up becoming drawings that i finished while others never saw the light of day again. i think some actually turned out really nicely despite not being finalized. now that i remembered these, i'll go back and finalize the ones i like whenever i feel like it https://pomf2.lain.la/f/sizq6i0q.png https://pomf2.lain.la/f/ruu4t16d.png https://pomf2.lain.la/f/e3rkkaoe.png https://pomf2.lain.la/f/2co9ms9g.png https://pomf2.lain.la/f/ydnjkm0.png https://pomf2.lain.la/f/krekysq5.png
> reading through old threads > anons succumbing to rampancy in the middle of writing post before snapping out of it the power of seven really does go deep
>>466459 >>466209 Admittedly, there is a part of me that wants the ending to the whole entire series to be extremely dark, to the exact same extent as the originally planned ending to Half Life 2: Episode 3, purely to scare the secondaries/fans of the fandom into fucking off and never ever coming back. In light of the religious themes: one of my favorite horror tropes is when it is set up that there are hard rules, only for there to then be a rug pull wherein it is revealed that there never actually were any rules and the monster was just playing with its food the entire time, so to speak. Going off what the Solver has itself stated, it seems to be less of a dedicated sadist and more just extremely bored and trying to find ways to interest itself as it goes through the motions of what seems to be an endless cycle.
>>466504 Just have the Solver fully break through into their reality, unleashing its true omnipotent power. And have the characters realize that everything up until this point was just a tiny amount of the Solvers influence leaking in.
>>466504 I can sort of relate. Relationships exist in stories and to root for 2 characters slowly getting together is only human. But to be so obsessed with shipping (the Jessa bit in the older post) to the point of being unable to appreciate the bigger picture of the story. Maybe these are just young fans y'know, but man (I'm aware there are older fans who still act childishly). There are level-headed shippers and then there's the sort who did the stupid thing with Studio Mir and Voltron Legendary Defender couple years back. That's the type that irks me most.
>Switch is more of a walking corpse than your typical Solver Host thanks to the Null Obsidian encaging her core >She doesn’t have access to the powers of Solver hosts but Solver hosts can’t use their powers on her >She’s “cursed” by the Solver by her supposed “betrayal” of not holding onto her “agreement” when she accepted the Solver in by limiting it’s influence with the Null Obsidian >Said “curse” is her insides constantly rotting. At first this was excruciatingly painful for her but because of how the pain is constant, she’s gotten used to it and now doesn’t pay much attention to it >Natural sunlight doesn’t cause her any problems but concentrated exposure from artificial UV sources or extreme heat would cause her to heat up with the excess heat slowing her body down to a crawl >In order to regenerate her insides and avoid “dying” AKA getting locked in her own body, she has to periodically consume the anomalous tissue and oil of disassembly drones and solver witches because of their healing factor >If she were to bleed oil, the smell of her oil would be described as “putrid” or “rancid” by DDs/Solver Witches. Normal drones wouldn’t be able to tell the difference >Were it not for her non-standard and stronger WD chassis, she wouldn’t be even able to move as the “curse” would have started eating away at her chassis too >Her combat chassis does have its advantages though >It is very resistant to blunt force trauma and slashing and bulletproof against most small-arms calibers >The chassis’ enhanced servos, along with the many combat subroutines within her OS, allow her to have enhanced awareness, move lightning fast and even slow down her perception of time which she uses from dominating her opponents with extremely fast strikes to deflecting bullets with her energy cutlass. Think of Lara’s Doppelganger from Tomb Raider Underworld or Leto II from Children of dune >If she were to be critically damaged IE shot in the head, she would just shrug it off and keep going. Think of Jack/Cain from He Never Died but she can’t heal her chassis naturally and has to repair it herself with either repair sprays or using a blowtorch to seal the damage >The only way to “kill” her would be with extreme force and dismembering her which incapacitates her but the only way to actually kill her is to destroy her core >Her condition has also given her enhanced smell which she uses to tell apart drones. She can identify a disassembler or a solver host just by smell because, in her words, “they smell funny”
Hello, who is the male security guy? I know the female is called Sophie, but I can't remember the name, I know is started with "A" and remember it was similar to the name "Abe"
>>466495 Simple Tell her to first come up with a compelling & comprehensive list of reasons explaining why Episodes 7-9 (and presumably all the other garbage that's been released in the 1000+ years of Star Wars media) doesn't in fact suck. Even if Beretta doesn't concede her stance she'll be too busy with this project to do anything bad to you except force you to watch her 100+ hour long analysis video once it's done
>>466415 I made those "drawings" the drones and Tessa in But Really Really Fast style. I started with Uzi, N, and V just so I could make a dumb joke but I got the hang of it and started making more characters.
>>466527 >>466528 The show is called, "Murder Drones". Not, "Boring Humans". Get the fuck out if you're attracted to a shitty bag of skin instead of a beautiful Drone
If I uploaded something on the booru and it says that the post is pending, that means it's waiting for approval, right? I can continue to post more stuff while it's waiting? Sorry if this sounds dumb, this is the first time I'm using a booru site to post things.
>>466537 Yes, it is waiting for approval, you can continue posting until your limit of post is full, then you need to wait until all your post get approved to continue posting
https://desuarchive.org/trash/thread/65279418/#65303924 Oh alright, I thought you meant in an spiritual way, good to know. So you say that they are similar to humans because they have needs and wants that are common in humans but not animals? A feeling to keep going forward but that is not tied to just continue living as a logical way to preserve themselfs? I hope you are here
>>466547 Happy to hear you like it. Since I already had heads of DD V and J and the dress from Cyn, it took little effort to swap the assets around to get maid V and J.
episode 7 confirms that disassembly drones can also eat human flesh. what else might they be able to eat? also, how do their digestive systems work since there is no confirmation that they can poop?
>>466557 We went from >Its okay guys were allowed 2 days between threads this will be better for everyone! to >Okay now its bi-weekly next week we'll reach >Its Monthly now. TLDR: Jannies and Bootlickers are gay
>>466546 NTA but I saw the original discussion. Given how broad and otherwise 'sensitive' the topic of spirituality is amongst humans (let alone non-humans) in real life, I tend to reserve judgements for that sort of stuff in fiction to the discretion of the author. In the case of Murder Drones that means the answer as to whether the Worker Drones have "souls" is entirely up to Liam. That being said I would personally say that there is a VERY strong case one could make for the argument that Worker Drones in fact have souls. The parallel of the Disassembly Drone "backups" being saved in order to eternally serve The Solver is a pretty blatant example, but there's also the fact that drone cores (and by extension the singularities contained within drone cores) appear to be what houses their 'AI'. It's definitely one of the more interesting concepts to think about, given how nearly it intersects at the crossroads of science fiction & eldritch horror
>>466557 I figured we should've waited three days. If they change that though it's complete bullshit and unfair >>466560 Oh fuck off, the last thing we need is to be even more divided
>>466565 Spirituality is a hard topic to talk about, to be honest. >there is a VERY strong case one could make for the argument that Worker Drones in fact have souls Oh I know, that's why I like to talk about both sides. Yeah, their AI is important, but I wouldn't call the soul or consciousness. I think we need to define some terms here to talk about this.
>>466565 I'm not sure why people would doubt the existence of a soul spiritually in Murder Drones. The same universe that has a fucking Interdimensional evil entity that has a tons of religious imagery behind it. Feel like souls and an afterlife existing ain't too far of a stretch in that universe
Household Drones are smaller (Not as small as Uzi), less sturdy, and weaker than Worker Drones, with a lot of soft parts. By no means are they fit to become Disassembly Drones. It's something the Solver learned the hard way. It takes 5 times longer to convert a Household Drone into a Semi-Functional Disassembly Drone and still they need a lot of modifications.
>>466588 They are much cheaper than worker drones, and yes as >>466589 said, they are more suitable to delicate work. >>466590 They don't look advanced, they look more-human-like, as per intended, considering they often interact with the elderly, children and pets.
>>466573 NTA The anons throwing a tantrum over the loss of back-to-back daily threads absolutely weren't around back during the pre-Episode 5 threads when these sort of waits were the norm rather than the exception. I'm not saying their anger isn't justified, but there does come a point where passionate obsession can boil over into the type of fandom dramafaggotry that makes sites like Twitter such a hellscape
Anybody want to lore dump on how a post-solver Human society would look like? Presumably after the AS gets defeated sometime in canon and how humans survived the massacre. >In the first year after the Gala Massacre, most of the major planets that we see in Tessa’s patches are Solvered, except for Copper-9. >In the following decades, all of the larger colonies that tried to fight back were defeated and absorved into the Singularity. >Now, a century after Earth was [NULLED], humans are scattered around the galaxy. >Most reside in nomadic ships or small outposts, but some far-flung exoplanets have larger permanent populations. >Justified paranoia has led to a fear of technology, with most outlawing any robots aside from Sentinels and Worker Drones to study the Solver. >Regular tech also suffered from this, seeing as in Episode 6 we see 1980’s computers. We can assume that a lot of advancements from the 21st to 30th century were prohibited. >Society inside these planets are authoritarian to the max as a means of survival. Imagine North Korea on crack. >Most don’t mind it that much since it’s preferrable to getting found by Cyn. >Life is unsurprisingly very harsh. Most humans had to go back to doing manual labor that WD’s used to do. They also cannot terraform their planets for agriculture too much lest the Solver notices them. >On the topic of Worker Drones, no human settlements allowed them to roam freely. The majority were destroyed, although some Zombie Drones were studied like in Copper-9. >Only some higher up’s from JcJenson and the government know of the existence of independent drone colonies, but they haven’t tried to establish contact with them for obvious reasons.
Sorry if some other anons already talked about this, also if bad formatting it’s because mobile. This is just the “foundation” , I guess. What I really want to speculate on is human-drone interactions after Uzi ascends in Episode-8, assuming she does so.
>>466596 Also repostin >Sentinels and Worker Drones to study the Solver. I can't imagine they would allow any drone-related tech at all. And studying the Solver was a huge mistake too which just allowed it to spread. They'd have to go full Luddite mode. Also a Battlestar Galactica scenario is pure kino. >they have their own version of Baltar >instead of a hot woman he sees Cyn But what would be chasing them? Infected flesh ships? A giant infected flesh planet?
>>466597 Also repostin lol I feel ashamed of saying this, but I’ve never watched Battlestar Galactica, which is apparently peak sci-fi kino. >What would be chasing them Basically what you said. I don’t think Cyn went full-on Hellstar Remina with a planet, but the AS modified human ships she captured and made them into monstrosities. I don’t want to go full 40k, but the ships are as organic as you’re imagining.
You know what, I'm going to do this for the hell of it. You know Harper? I'm going to describe the appearance of her WD companion for funsies >WD with blue lights >Timid expression/posture >Hair that's similar to Harper's but shorter and more boyish. Has helmet of course >Mildly oversized labcoat >Blue armband that reads "Marked for Reconstruction" >>466600 The point is that it's supposed to look human methinks
>>466603 I can only speak for myself but the downside to trying to post on on 4chan using mobile is the random chance that my dynamic IP ends up being one banned because some shitheel decided to post "Pedo Stuff" with it at one point or another. While I could always try appealing the ban when this happens it's typically easier to just wait until I get home to post at that point
>>466445 Goodnight >Did you save any of your work somewhere everyone can see? I want to know Not yet, tho I've been thinking about it, just not sure where. >Slow things Yes, it takes a lot of effort to start something knowing it will go on for a long time and take a lot of work before it really gets going, so they are rarer. About the first scene, absolutely agree with it, I think I also heard it said here once. Of course it depends on opinion and preference in the end, but if the first part of a story I see here is intriguing(atmosphere worldwise[meaning not too much AU, I don't dislike AUs per se but there are many going on requiri g time to get into, not to mention many get abandoned at some point when only one anon writes them]), or has good action/tension. Idk it honestly is difficult or not possible really to generalize what makes out a captivating start, in the end it also depends on subconcious influences of writing style/narration type and also current mood, for example your old green with the detective DD fit well with the time (rain irl/got home for the day) and was also a great example for the 'background' lore, feeling like a deeper unfolding story has been planned since the start. >I have heard about that series It's alright, 6 'episodes' overall (in Dutch), but there are compilations of the entire thing (24 minutes only) dubbed in Spanish and English, dubs are of high quality.
>>466608 Hello Friend! Well, I hope I see it someday. It's hard, it needs to be a strong start to grab attention, then, a slow follow-up to develop things well. I have some greens that are pretty much an AU since the world is pretty different from MD. I just finished playing Disco Elysium at that time, and I had a lot of inspiration, I saw some videos about detectives too, and a lot of things to grab inspiration from; I guess the mood at the time of reading it is also important, and to be honest, I thought a little about the history between them on my mind, old stories they had, and let them just mention things, like the reader knows those stories already, no explanation, since normal people do not explain things both already know, or that was my thinking. Good to know, I really need to check it out.
>>466511 Alrighty anon, I hope you don't mind that instead of the typical cap I figured I'd take time to experiment with screencap 'style' with what we have to work with here. I've narrowed it down to these three options but I'll definitely wait a bit more to ponder my options before going with one for a booru upload.
>>466596 Nice, I love me an excuse to engage in world building autism! This is a pretty solid list so far anon, although one thing I want to point out is that (assuming the exposition takes place post-gala of course) Copper-9 appeared to remain reliant on Worker Drone manual labor in spite of what happened on Earth (see picrel). Whether this is due to a simple lack of manpower for dangerous jobs or was directly related to the Cabin Fever "research" is entirely speculative, along with whether this practice of keeping the Worker Drone labor force in-tact was unique to Copper-9 or is/was more common amongst the last bastions of humanity.
Speaking of the last bastions of humanity, I've talked about it before but I feel like at this point in the 'story' (Post-Canon Good Ending) whatever is left of mankind has been fractured into a number of possible factions based entirely on how they went about surviving The Solver's intergalactic apocalypse. For posterity here's a number of varyingly fleshed-out ideas for 'factions' I (and a couple other anons) have proposed for these threads Note: Aside from "Eden System" I've basically pulled these names out of my ass and as such aren't necessarily '''official''' >Eden System (AKA The Super-Fortress worlds focusing on turtling with EVERYTHING they have left until the bitter end of the universe itself) >Deep Space Evacuees (AKA The Humans who took colony ships to run away as far & fast as they could in a vain hope of outrunning The Exponential End) >Hail Mary Marauders (AKA The fringe extremest 'Humans' who have resorted to ANY & EVERY means necessary to slow The Solver's spread, including the extermination of "uncooperative" humans) >Coalition of Systems Remnants (AKA The bulk of the surviving Human 'resistance' continuing to fight against The Solver, operating from refugee fleets at the edges of formerly-civilized space) >Hidden Humans (AKA Those who have taken to scavenging across desolated planets that more often than not hide near or within free drone colonies) >Generic Raiders (AKA The Assholes™ LARPing Space!Mad Max much to the annoyance of virtually everyone else)
>>466610 Oh yeah, one thing I forgot to mention is that because of her combat oriented chassis her physical strength is comparable to a DD which means she can easily break every single bone in your body with just a squeeze of her hand, toss you into air or easily move cars and the stuff.
>>466596 >>466613(me) Decided to split the post due to length >What I really want to speculate on is human-drone interactions after Uzi ascends in Episode-8, assuming she does so. This is honestly one of the things I like the most about the theoretical Post-Canon Good Ending; Thinking about all the different & interesting ways the surviving shades of humanity could end up interacting with (and treating) drones in general scratches my creative 'tism like nothing else! As before, here's my personal take on how the previously mentioned factions might end up reacting to & with a Copper-9 Drone society under the protection and/or rule of Ascended!Uzi
>Eden System Full disclosure: Take this with a grain of salt as I'm not actually the original anon behind this particular 'faction'. That being said I think it would be safe to say that Eden System would not differentiate Uzi from Cyn and thus would be too paranoid/unwilling to consider Copper-9 as anything other than just another Solver-controlled planet. While I don't think they'd go as far as attacking Copper-9 there's almost certainly gonna be conflict if/when Eden System decides to try "liberating" the rest of what was once human-controlled space >Deep Space Evacuees These guys are long gone and I don't see them attempting to get back in touch with what they left behind anytime soon, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ >Hail Mary Marauders The "relationship" is immediately & overtly hostile, with these guys wasting no time in staging an invasion or extermination campaign in order to try and 'reclaim' Copper-9 for humanity. This would naturally extend to any human "Slaves & Traitors" that might be living amongst the drones on the planet (as well as any humans that establish anything remotely resembling diplomatic ties with the drones on Copper-9), basically setting them up as one of the dedicated overarching "Bad Guys" in the Post-Canon Good Ending >Coalition of Systems Remnants Now THESE guys would definitely be the most nuanced as far as "relations" with Copper-9 drones. Early interactions between the two would be critical in establishing just how things play out, but I'd like to think (or rather hope) that these humans wouldn't immediately just jump the gun and blindly continue their "war" against Uzi (especially if she & Copper-9 as a whole are explicitly not trying to start shit themselves). Once the option of diplomacy becomes a serious consideration these humans would likely enter a prolonged period of 'Cold War' styled relations, with an emphasis from level-headed individuals on both sides trying to maintain AT MINIMUM a tenuous truce although I won't lie I REALLY dig the very space opera idea of these guys eventually forming an impromptu alliance with Copper-9 to deal with a resurgence of Cyn-controlled Solver Slaves >Hidden Humans Whether out of pragmatism or more ideological/humanitarian reasons I'd say this 'faction' of humans would be the most passive & peaceful towards Copper-9. Assuming that Uzi goes out of her way to fix up the planet (or simply keep it from collapsing further) Copper-9 would undoubtedly become a popular spot for drone-friendly humans to flock towards, and could ironically enough become one of the best AND safest places a human could choose to settle in the Post-Canon Good Ending. While there certainly be some societal strife that crops up regarding relations between drones & humans and not just in a lewd context I'd say that the chances of a successful human-drone society are quite optimistic! >Generic Raiders This one could actually be interesting since the chances of there being raider groups consisting of humans AND drones (or even just drones) would be decently high. If nothing else the idea of the occasional totally-inclusive & equal opportunity bandits showing up to raze hell is amusing enough to be worth entertaining. Still, regardless of who (or what) makes up their ranks Raiders are still raiders and are thus typically easier to kill/incarcerate than they are to strike diplomacy with I ended up spending my time entertaining my brainworms writing this up instead of committing to booru uploads like I'd originally planned. Oops Totally worth it though
>>466613 >>466618 Sorry for the late reply, but both of your posts are great. I’m still on mobile so sorry about any mistakes. >Eden System This is actually what inspired my lore dump. Eden is one of my favorite thread creations, and I will probably take heavy inspiration from it if I continue writing this AU. I have a small hope that we may see something like Eden if a Season 2 comes out, but it’s mostly just wish fulfillment. >Deep Space Evacuees They were probably the most successful at the beginning of the Solver’s attack, but they only had so much food on board their ships before they resorted to desperate means. I feel as if most probably died or integrated with other colonies. Some probably managed to escape the system and are long gone. >Coalition of Systems Remnants Now this concept I haven’t heard of before, but it piqued my interest compared to the rest aside from Eden. ANY humans remaining would be giga-xenophobic towards sentient drones and want them destroyed, but assuming Uzi ascends, the power imbalance would be WAY too in the favor of Drones. This is if Uzi retains her Solver Powers; in which case the Coalition will be forced to play nice with them. I love human-drone interactions that aren’t just lewd, which is also probably why I loved the Office!AU. >Hidden Humans I won’t write touch too much on them since many greens with a similar concept have been written. Seeing drones deal with something so different from them and vice-versa is so different. Huge segregation would probably take place at the beginning, but would better over the years once they realize the Solver is truly gone. >Generic Raiders Basically a guarantee in post-apocalyptic settings. Could be fun writing them as the most progressive for having drones in their ranks.
>spoiler Don’t worry, i’m supposed to be writing other greens yet I had this brainworm I had to post. Definitely worth it
>Auntie Cyn fills Beretta's head with horrible eldritch information >However, instead of being horrified Beretta becomes inspired >Beretta starts to put Auntie Cyn's knowledge down onto paper, writing entire stories, eventually moving onto a video format with some drawings to assist, then soon full fledged animations >Drones are still waiting for episode 4 of Beretta's indie series, "Assassination Hexahedron"
>>466574 This guy was literally designed to be such. Incinerator was kind of depressed, if I remember right. I mean, the circumstances of being a DD tends to be awful so it's completely understandable.
>>466627 because it’s midnight in burgerland Also, the bump limit in /trash/ ends at 300. This + less people participating and threads taking longer to make after one finished means threads are quieter.
>>466629 this pic… is the culmination of all my tastes. The vicker smile. The artstyle. The Cynwalker. I think this is my new favorite Murder Drones image.
>A Disassembly drone finds out that she is human. >She reflexively ffers her body up to the drone for it's silence in desperation. >Completely forgetting that robots are probably not interested. >She just randomly humiliated herself before even confirming whether the DD is hostile or not.
>>466596 My CO that I'm promising to intrduce for like aweek or so is carrying two containers what he calls "gene-tanks" that contains the genetic code of ten-thousands of different humans of different races. He considers them the last bastion of humanity's survival.
>>466596(me) I appreciate the feedback I got from you anons. I'm too tired to post a second part right now, but i'm thinking of writing about humanity finding out when the Solver was defeated Post-Canon Good ending and meeting ascended Uzi for the first time.
One thing I didn't notice until now is that BLEEP and Switch have the same haircut. That wasn't intentional on my end but I just though that it's a funny coincidence.
>>466644 Not really tasked with it per se. It is a task he took upon himself. >For there is noone left to do it. Of course there is more to the story, but I don't want to spoil it just yet.
>>466646 I don't know Battlestar Galactica, so I'd say no. It is vaugely inspired by 40K and how Space marines use geneseed to create new space marines.
>>466653 Battlestar Galactica is a story where humanity is completely annihilated except for a large convoy of ragtag civilian ships being led by an old decommissioned warship. And they're getting chased across space by their enemies who are trying to finish the job.
>>466654 Ah, understood, in that case, not really, most of the story takes place on-planet. It's more about tricking and deciving the Solver into believing that "He is most certainly /ourguy/, [Giggle]." while also developing a method to either prevent, fight off or remove Solver posession from any drone. And once the Solver has no means reaching them, grabbing a space ship and fucking off somewhere, terraforming a planet and restarting humanity. Spoiler: Problems, complications and shenanigans ensue, and also, someone will throw a moon.
Rate the following female drone on a scale from 1 to 10: >wants to help, does her best >eats crayons >thinks Warhammer 40k is real, and also that it's the bible >want to drink your life's work but will refrain from doing so if you let her cook >she wants to -and can- cook food >it's easy to impress her >she often gives gifts (it's mostly junk)
>>466663 It is a thing she will try to do in the story she's part of. One of the other characters will try to develop something, and she will try to drink it.
>>466660 >she often gives gifts (it's mostly junk) >Mini Y loves you >She often gives you gifts >But she is small and can't carry much >The gifts are mostly change she found on the floor and company gift cards
>>466677 They're both real, It's just that they're from different timelines/dimensions where one Kat got mammal adapters to impress Anon and the other is just tubes but still erotic.
>>466686 What about the countless innocent worker drones she's killed to keep N "safe" knowing that it wouldn't do shit? Do they deserve to be happy too?
Has the anon who started the "human soldier visits copper 9" green posted it in these threads? I think I saw it either on /trash/ or /co/, did he continue it or is it still just part 1 of the green?
Posted this earlier, but I had a headache and missed out a line.
>The sun was rising on Osmium-4. >The thick clouds hanging over the area wouldn't have clued anyone that it was morning though. >Serial Designation H was awake. Just about. >Sleep during the day was the norm for them but today, he was waiting for Irma. >She was bringing them some supplies. He was initially hesitant to ask but she insisted as a way to thank them for putting an end to... whatever it was that tried to kill all of them several nights ago. >Seeing as Irma was still too terrified of his squadmates, he explained that they'll be asleep and he'll be the only one staying up. >His optics swept about the place. His captain decided to use a derelict residence as temporary shelter while she figured out what to do after calling off their previous mission. >It showed the signs of time eating away at its structure. Torn bits of wall, ragged curtains, cracked windows. >Hints to its past owners lay in faded photos of smiling people, adults and children alike. It reminded him of- >"Ding ding!" -- >Irma managed to find the way to her uneasy allies/neighbors' home. >Wasn't too far from her current outpost but the snow made the journey less convenient. >She decided to try the bell for whatever it's worth. To her surprise, it worked. >She took a few steps back and noticed a yellow glint flicker past a window to her left. >"Must be that acid tube tail..." She tried to shove away the memory of what those things could do. Moments later, H showed up at the door. >"Miss Irma. Good morning." >He let out a light yawn. The sight of his fangs made Irma flinch. >"I h-hope I didn't keep you waiting." >"Not at all... May I help with the things you're carrying?" >"O-oh, yes. I've separated some of the stuff in a few boxes, I hope that's alright." >She set down the parcel box and unlatched the top. They laid out the items inside. >Mostly packs of oil. Several books and batteries kept in small containers. >"I thought you and your team would like some of these." >"I'm not much of a snacker. But... I think L will like them. Thank you." >Irma nodded. "Then I'll grab some of these and put them indoors." >In his sleepiness, it slipped his mind that his squadmates were resting in the living room. >Realizing the fact just after Irma made her way in, H scrambled up and rushed inside. -- >Irma was frozen in terror. Her internal systems all tell her to get her chassis out of there but a deep sense of dread locked her servos. >Serial Designations B and L were hanging upside down, all of their lights turned off. >Despite their motionless slumber, Irma couldn't bring herself to move for fear of alerting them. >H managed to find her. He was a little upset at himself for forgetting to tell her about the two being in the living room. >"Miss Irma." >His voice snapped her out a little. >"Don't worry. They're asleep. Don't make too much noise though. My captain can be a bit of a light sleeper." >She nodded and slowly made her way back toward the entrance.
>>466698 (I really need to get my eyes checked) >Irma walked out rather shakily after just having seen the two Disassembly Drones. >It took her several minutes to recover her composure after SD-H reassured her that as long as they're not stomping around the place making a bunch of noise, SD-B will remain asleep. SD-L herself is a fairly heavy sleeper though occasionally, her own set of nightmares have shaken her up during daytime. >"S-so... do you sleep like that t-too?" >"Usually, yes. I'm not too picky about where I sleep though." >"I see..." >"...I apologize. I'm not too used to being awake at this time, and I forgot to tell you they were sleeping in the living room." >"I-it's okay." >"If... if it's alright with you, would you mind telling me why you're frightened of them, but not me?" >Irma glanced at him. His inquiry seemed genuine. Taking off her armband, she grasped it tightly. It was a piece from her past that gave her comfort in difficult moments. >"It's... y-you know. It's got something to do with the night t-they attacked... my previous outpost. B-but really... water under the bridge and all. I just don't know if I'd ever forget... how t-terrifying they were." >"If you'd like to get some of it off your chest, I'm listening." >Irma sighed. She had been bottling things in but... maybe talking it out wasn't a bad idea. >"I don't think you were there.. T-that night..." >"It may be that I was sent out to scout another location. My captain rotates different tasks to us from time to time. >"I-I see.. that was probably it. Because I only remember those two... at my old outpost." >"So.. that night. I wasn't doing much. There had been a few accidents and I had to help some of the miners with damaged legs. When your captain showed up, I was at the corridor that led to the main entrance. The main doors we had was slightly damaged." >Her tone changed to one of fury. >"Ugh, if he hadn't been messing around with his stupid door pranks maybe it wouldn't have gotten jammed!" >"He... who?" >"The worker drone who was on guard duty that night. Carter. He hated being there and would rather play cards with his buddies. Whenever he's on door duty, he'd play stupid pranks like asking for Da Entry Pass or opening and closing the door just as you were getting in. There were a few times he'd do it while I was trying to get one of the miners to the repairs room and it angers me to no end!" >A digital anger vein appeared on her visor. H motioned to her about his squadmates and she remembered that she had to keep her voice down. >"O-oh, I'm sorry." >She continued, a little quieter this time. >"We... weren't expecting any visitors or deliveries that night. I think Carter must have done something to annoy your captain. He tried to close the doors on her but because of his dumb pranks, the doors jammed and wouldn't fully close. >Irma's eye lights turned into hollow rings as terror sank deeper into her thoughts. >"T-then I saw her claws slipping between the gap.." >"The.. t-the next thing I saw.. and heard... was the top half of the doors... being torn from the frame." >"The sound was one of the things.. that struck a kind of fear I haven't experienced in a long time... Your captain quickly c-cut him down. She seemed iritated which was why.. I assumed Carter probably said something idiotic to her. B-but after that... your squadmate..." >"L?" >"Y-yeah... She rushed in and splattered t-two workers who were hanging out nearby." >Irma shuddered from her deep-seated panic. >"...Some of the workers tried to make a break for it. But they c-couldn't... They were either shot, cut down... or blown up." >"When the few that were in the entrance hangar were all... d-dead.. I was still frozen by the corridor. Your captain noticed but she d-didn't... make any move... Wasn't until L fired a few shots near my feet... that I snapped out of it and started running toward a path that led to the mines... I-it was an emergency path they recently built. Figured it's because other workers were also fed up with Carter and his buddies messing around with the main entrance doors whenever they're on duty..." >"...L had a wide grin the whole time... S-she seemed to like toying around with us." >SD-H knew she was telling the truth. L did her job just as well as he and SD-B did but she had a playful streak in her disassembling of worker drones. At least up until one of her later solo missions that seemed to have shaken her up. >"Heard more screams as I ran into the mines. Too afraid to turn around. My voice module wouldn't work and I could only put "RUN" on my visor... t-to warn any of the miners I passed by." >"...I heard the clank of her pointed legs in the tunnels and kept running. Then I tripped over something, one of the detonators. An explosion.. then it went quiet..." >H continued to listen intently. >"At first, I thought some of the rocks blocked the path and she wasn't able to keep chasing. But it was worse. I.. stupidly decided to walk back and saw her body... Her arms were torn off. By some of the metal pieces from the explosion. O-one of her legs was somewhere else." >"Then.. her arms were... moving... b-back to her. Some of the tears in her leg and body were... fixing themselves? I c-couldn't make any sense of what I was seeing and fearing she might get back up and kill me, I ran further in." >"Then another explosion sent me flying, maybe it was one of her missiles. I-... I fell down one of the side tunnels and rolled into a crevice... But there, I stayed hidden for a while. The clank of her steps came near and I was about t-to scream... but then, she stopped. Y-your captain seemed to have called her back."
>>466698 >>466702 >Irma's eye lights closed as she grasped her armband tightly. H felt a great deal of anguish wash over him. >"T-that's... pretty much. What happened that night." >"...I see." >"H... I'm afraid of them. A-and to some extent, of you t-too. But... when you helped us. W-when L saved me from the claw that was about to cut me in half... And the three of you k-killed that huge centipede thing..." >"I can only think of Ophelia's safety at the time." >The name piqued his interest, but he decided not to interrupt. >"You helped make sure that she'd be safe. And.. I'm grateful. I really am." >Irma smiled at him. Her gentle expression coupled with her loosening her grip on the armband told him enough. >"... I'm glad to hear. As she's mentioned before, my captain's calling off our company-assigned mission. She's even smashed the comms relay in our landing pod. We.. we need time to figure out just what to do now." >"I-I see." "Miss Irma, I don't know.. if I'd be able to wash away your fears. But please understand that you also have my gratitude. For saving L and my captain." >"If it wasn't for L telling me.. about the thing that attacked us. I.. I'm not sure if I would have. I was ready to slam the door shut but.. if something was able to hurt you to t-that extent... I was afraid of what it could do to Ophelia and the rest of the colony." -- >SD-B stirred awake. The lights on her headband came on and her eye lights blinked groggily open. Another nightmare, though by this time she's gotten a little used to it. She decided to grab something to drink away the misery. >With a swift flip, she landed on one of her pointed leg. She noticed a few things that weren't there before, a small pile of books and packs of oil. Batteries...? >"Hmm. Curious." >The door was ajar and it seemed like there was hardly any sunlight. She decided to peek by the window. >To her delight, it seemed that SD-H was walking with Irma toward the entrance gates. She decided against making herself visible and ask him about their meeting later. The booze was calling to her anyway. -- >"Miss Irma, thanks again for the supplies you've brought. Even if it doesn't look like it, we enjoy reading. The books will keep us occupied for some time." >"Y-You're welcome. If you'd like to visit the outpost, let me know. Sometimes I have maintenance work outside. I.. I don't know if I wouldn't run at the sight of your squad... But I'll try m-my best." >"B-by the way... I wish you good luck with your captain." >SD-H was perplexed. >"O-oh.. I haven't mentioned it have I... Well, I don't want to keep secrets from you, so um.. while you were unconscious in recovery mode. You.. mumbled. About stuff.." >He felt a sense of dread creeping about, what embarrassing things could have escaped his voice module while he was knocked tf out? >"Some of it was just.. scary. Some of it was.. you complaining about L and her pranks... B-but.. I know you really like your captain and I w-wish you the best." >"Oh Robo-God. P-please keep it a secret from L and my captain. L is never going to let me live this down if she knew..." >"Don't worry, my polymetal lips are sealed!" With that, Irma bid him farewell and made her way back the outpost.
>>466704 Yes. And I'm not going to fix the third part for missing one arrow. (The last sentence was meant to be in blue) I will however mentally kick my own ass. Also I appreciate this place for the increased character limit because wow, I did not expect it to go that long.
>>466698 >>466702 >>466705 Okay Friend, 10/10 work, I thinks is really cute, and sad because of some obvious parts. I have one question, one important question, there will be more right, like, past of this greens and future, seeing more moments like this, RIGHT?
I should write more greentexts with Switch, I've been sitting on continuing her diary writings for long enough plus I've had some ideas for green scenarios involving her.
>>466707 >I have one question, one important question, there will be more right, like, past of this greens and future, seeing more moments like this, RIGHT? Ty, but I dunno. Writing is a different kind of creative exertion than drawing. I kinda feel bad for taking that much post space for my dumb characters too. I have.. small ideas, like I want to do bits on B and H the same way I did for picrel. I'm not too sure if I want to delve too much into the past stuff, but L's connection with Julia is kind of important since it affects her strongly in the present. BUT I also wanna draw the funnies and the occasional hornies. Time will tell. >>466712 You should, the more the merrier. Take your time tho, writing knocked the wind out of my mental reserves. Is hard...
>>466720 It does? Can you explain more Friend? And do not feel bad, do not ever feel bad about things like that, I do not know if this means something, but I'm always happy to see OCs, different OCs from different Friends. I see I see, Although I love them all, I have a weak spot for B to be honest. It would be interesting leaving with a mystery fog about the past, and I would be happy to read about L and Julia. You can do all, it will just take time and what you feel of doing in that time of day. I'm excited to see your future works!
>>466727 That was 'Haunting Past'. She's not remembering, pieces of her memory are slowly returning since she saw the worker drone with the pickaxe since I thought that from episode 2, N's flashback tells me that memory suppression by the Solver wasn't a flawless process. She doesn't have the context to her past, yet.
>>466695 >>466696 >>466697 Anon behind that particular greentext reporting Yeah the only place I've posted that to do far has been /co/. Given how busy I am with other things (both for the threads & real life) the plan is/was to try to do one part per /co/ thread. While I still plan on following through with the posting on /co/ in spite of the random deletion I could also simultaneously post it here if there's sufficient interest (and people don't mind the redundant posting of course)
>>466729 Beretta became Liam Vickers, one of the femanons is being being gae with the newcomer and I can't really think of anything else, but I'm sure there was some neat greentexts
>>466720 Just know, anon that your OCs are one of the best in this thread, so anything that involves them is something many of us look after. Keep it up, bro!
>"I want to do a season 2, but I don't think it's in the works, I don't know anything about it" >"I know the folks at Glitch also want to do a season 2 but It's just a matter of planning it out, everyone is being vague about it, they cannot confirm or deny one." https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2133011159?t=00h51m02s
>>466744 I take it you're the same person who constantly complained about things being "slow" back on /co/ (even when the Murder Drones threads were amongst the fastest moving ones on the board). Regardless whether I'm right or not, the only thing posts like these do is make you come off as an attention whore who can't handle the lack of constant engagement. Don't get me wrong, if you are for whatever reason suffering from crippling depression due to the lack of threads on /co/ my advice would be to earnestly seek professional help. If nothing else I'd suggest cutting the incessant pity-party doomposting before you end up seriously pissing people off again
>>466753 And? Seriously, what exactly do you consider an acceptable rate of posts for an anonymous image board? Once every 5 minutes, or perhaps once every other minute (or perhaps even once Every Single Minute)?
>>466756 Why you answer him? It's obviously an anon that just wants attention by being annoying, don't answer him and soon he will shut up, the less attention you give them the less they cry
>>466756 Something consistent. Like, you can go and grab a snack from the fridge and there’s like 2 or so new posts >>466757 Excuse me for being concerned about the state of things
>>466761 Sorry you seem to have mistaken this Murder Drones thread on a 4Chan spinoff for Twitter, where people would actually care about that incoherent string of nonsense you just typed. Kindly return from whence you came.
Household Drones: >Made by a different company, these drones were aimed towards your average Joe, who don't have the money to buy a Worker drone. >Although they are cheaper, they are perfect for doing chores around the house, looking after the elderly, children, even pets. >Their more human-like appearance helps to put those at ease who are otherwise wary around robots. >They have heightened emotional intelligence and they often grow very attracted to their owners. [Company Redacted Information: The entire 3V3 (Eve) Mark II series was discontinued after an Eve Mark II model murdered her owner's new girlfriend in her sleep out of what could only described as jealousy.] >Household Drones are attentive, loyal and prefer to stay by their owner's side. >Household Drones come in different models, and colors, modeled after different human ethnic groups. >The ones modeled after Caucasian people were dubbed 4D4M (Adam) and 3V3 (Eve). [Company Redacted Information: Due to a logistical error the names of the Mark I series were accidentally switched up. The Mark I male models were named Eve, while the female models were dubbed Adam. This error was corrected in future generations.] >The ones modeled after African people were dubbed L30N (Leon) and M0N1Q3 (Monique). [Company Redacted Information: The male models were originally supposed to be called "LeBron" but due to a typo, they were named "Leon". The Executive Board liked the name however, so they kept it.] >The ones modeled after Asian people were called H1R0 (Hiro) and H1R0K0 (Hiroko). [Company Redacted Information: These models were specifically modeled after East Asian people which caused a PR nightmare for the company as many South and West Asians boycotted the product as they felt insulted by the company putting the whole of Asia under a single umbrella.] >Household Drones need their memory wiped as a standard procedure when they switch owners. Household Drones can display symptoms of depression if they get separated from a person they grew attached to. This can culminate in them terminating themselves. >WARNING: Household Drones are by no means capable of hard manual labor. Subjecting them to such labor can and will cause serious harm to them.
>>466773 I Haven't finished drawing the head yet. I will. Also keep it in mind this is a Household Drone already turned DD by Cyn. they had more squishy parts originally.
>>466770 As long as Uzi remembers that she has administrative privileges over N she should be fine! Or at the very least she'll only have herself to blame for what happens next...

>Beretta sat at her desk, scribbling down drawings of monsters from the inner reaches of her mind onto a tablet >Strange beasts, that looked similar to humans, specifically human women, yet were very clearly not normal women >These women were psychopaths, with sharp teeth, drooling mouths, and maybe horns or spider legs >However most if not all of these drawings were deleted almost immediately upon completion >"Crap!" >She exclaimed as she crumbled up the fresh drawing and disposed of it >She raged, slamming her fist down on the desk >"All of these ideas are crap, I can't use these, they look so good in my head but when I put them down onto paper they're complete garbage." >Beretta sighed, taking a sip of coolant from an oversized cup before continuing on into the night >When daybreak came, Beretta put down her pen and looked at the masterpiece before her >It was perfect, the monster had the perfect amount of spookiness and sex appeal, her hair was in braids, her teeth primed and sharp an- >Then the tablet died >Hours of progress, lost to the void >Beretta stared into the black screen that once held color and passion >She stared for what felt like eternity before she began to laugh, not out of joy but pain
>>466659 Thanks for making a new Alice ai, very good. I do indeed like it, read through the description gotta wait till Friday to try it properly on PC tho have no experience and currently only phone so can't say a thing about how it went for me. From your screenshots so far however I'd say it's more detailled than the other one I saw yet As of now already has 122 downloads I see. Of course it's a little drilled to be nsfw but it's well intertwined with canon, I sure don't mind it, doesn't look like it will throw of accuracy for it. Many thanks again for making an Alice model as well, if I can get it to work I'll tell you. Also RIP Beau kek
I wanna be Carrying Alice Hugging Alice Cuddling Alice Handholding Alice I need her so bad bros what do Repair and fix Alice smh, look at her If the stars align right I can have something done tomorrow
>>466783 i want to do good things to/with the side characters yet i want to nothing but to inflict violence upon the main cast and i dont know why i NEED their suffering
>>466786 Alice is a generic villain of the week that Liam put in episode 6 at the last minute purely because he thought that it was cool and any depth you perceive is just yourself projecting.
>>466785 Same really, Alice above all ofc but I find Tessa and Doll more interesting as well. Just opinion ofc >>466786 Yes, they have more lore indicated which makes them a perfect base for expanding them canonwise already, not to mention the possibilties these inherently present for headcanon >>466787 Ngl sounds like shitty bait, there were no rewrites in season1. Assuming you are genuine and just THAT new: Alice is needed for the entire story we see on Copper-9 to even unfold at all, without her disabling the cores AS would've reached the lower level via Solverpedes years before the pilot takes place. Due to that she's also the reason 'Tessa' even needed to come to Copper-9 at all. If you think about it for longer than five minutes it becomes clear as day Alice has more meaning than just to be the main antagonist of 6 and give extra lore, without her the story wouldn't work.
Suffering from Terminal Destiny Brainrot so I decided to write a lore entry for Tessa's revolver
>Family Heirloom. Hand Cannon
>///VIDEO AND AUDIO UNABLE TO LOAD.// >//TRANSCRIPT WITH HIDDEN INVESTIGATION NOTES PROVIDED.// >The sounds of shuffling are heard as the camera is placed onto an object showing the recorder to be Tessa James Elliot >Tessa sits down in front of the camera; she appears to be extremely distraught and scarred >TJE: "It's all going to hell out there" >Tessa straightens her posture before slumping again >TJE: "I was able to activate the old radio in here and every station is saying the same thing" >TJE: "Contact with the outer colonies has been lost, Those Exodus program ships have been ordered to take off regardless of capacity, and every military unit has been activated and ordered by that warmind to prepare for combat." >Tessa begins mouthing something before turning towards the camera (Note: analysis has found that she was mouthing "Did I cause this") >TJE: "I think this is going to be my final words" >Tessa begins wiping off an unknown substance (Note: Oil?) off of her dress >TJE: "So I might as well say my goodbyes." >TJE: "J, I'm sorry I never listened to you. I should've let you destroy Cyn's core the moment she began acting up and getting worse" >TJE: "V, I'm sorry that I didn't help you more when those bastards I call my parents broke your optics" >TJE: "And N. I'm sorry that I have to say goodbye this way but I need you to do something" >Tessa suddenly grabs the camera >TJE: "If you find that bastard Cyn do us all a favor and shoot her in her core if I can't finish the job" >Tessa lets go of the camera and reaches offscreen before revealing a revolver and begins loading it >TJE: "I hope to god I can stop her before she causes the end of the goddamn world" >Tessa finishes loading the revolver and stands up before walking off >(Final Note: Footage ends when the camera is knocked off the object it was on by a blast. Timestamp indicates that this was around the same time the Traveler unleashed the pulse of energy that stopped the Darkness)
>>466782 I do try to make them lore accurate, despite being made for cooming. Let me know what you think once you try it out. If there's anything off about it I'll see what I can do to make it more canon-compliant.
>>466669 >You feel something tugging at your pant sleeve and you look down >It's Mini Y >"What is it, Mini Y?" >She raises her arms and jumps a little >She makes a high pitched sound that is something between "hmph hmph!" and "eep eep!" >It seems she wants up >You pick her up and bring her to eye level >"Yes?" >She circles her arm in a "come closer" gesture >You bring her close to your face >She hugs your cheek and gives it a mini peck >Y comes over and grabs her >"You vill have to excuse her" she calls out behind her back. "She ist too small to contain more than one emotion at a time." >Mini Y glares at Y >"Bitch, did you just called me retarded."
>>466789 Iirc she was forgotten by the show's creators in the database when Cynwalker checked it, with a random unseen Drone assigned her number instead. She also had absolutely zero mention or presence during the flashback. Liam has just been making this all up as he has went along and decided putting a slasher horror hillbilly wendigo girl in the exact same episode as a skinwalker girl is hidden in plain sight the entire time would be cool.
Murder Drones has absolutely amazing visuals, I don't think I have ever seen a movie not to mention series which consistently looks amazing, also helps a lot that it's set mostly in the dark/cold, makes it comfier smh
>>466846 At this point I can't tell whether they are mentally ill or just trolling, but either way I'd recommend simply hiding their posts rather than wasting any of your time replying or insulting them. With any luck they will shut up & fuck off sooner rather than later
I wanna be more active in both this thread and even in the /trash/ threads but my drawing speed cant keep up.
plus there's been some distain about talking about sentinel drones and that's all i can really calk about in depth currently
im nearly done with a "quick" sketch that ill probably be using to answer questions, but ill probably only be posting it here. (and maybe the /co/ thread if its not snatched)
i need to work on scribbling comprehensive drawings faster, not need 3 hours at least for something i don't even plan to shade.
>>466851 Yeah, many threads at the same time can make it difficult to follow everything if you don't want or can see it every few minutes, take it slow, if you try to do many things in a short period of time your head will end up hurting.
>>466851 Don't let the opinions of others dictate your creative drive anon. People have complained/critiqued practically every single OC that has graced these threads in the 9+ months they've gone on (some certainly more than others). Sometimes it's in good faith (albeit there's not much you can do about someone simply not enjoying a concept) while other times it's just assholes who'd rather complain about seeing something they DON'T like instead of talking about something they DO like.
Ultimately you can't please everyone especially people who hate OCs period but as long as you find enjoyment in it (and aren't a raging faggot about it) I say continue the good work anon!
>>466853 I've never heard anyone negatively criticise a OC in the /co/ threads before, we actively encourage it, shrug maybe im just blissfully ignorant.
>>466851 >Distain about Sentinel Drones I haven't seen this. The only thing I saw was literally ONE GUY say they didn't like them. Literally one singularity guy
>>466860 (me) Alright for a proper explanation by what i meant by that:
these 2 where the sentinel siblings i used in that bigger project I finished last weekend, i think i remember discussing how these sentinels types worked, but never specifically talked about these 2 (my mistake im dence) I meant to phrase the question more as:
I can answer more questions if you want more information about these types of sentinels in general, OR i can explain the personality's behind these 2 particular drones.
sorry for being dumb, im like half-sentient atm, but can still answer questions
>>466864 depending on V's distaste on anything named sentinel after the events of episode 6, and if they still want to deal with humanity after being fooled by Tessa/Tess'nt, you'd need one good with reasoning to get them anything higher the hesitant.
>>466870 Nice, I admittedly have a hard time often enough with deciding wether the action and the way it's shown is good/proper, yours is pretty detailled in that way so ye, I'll definitely try it, thanks fir the idea >>466871 Good since these two are easy to draw, I'll see how it goes. >>466872 Kek it's a good mental image tbf, would probably be easier to make on digital but I'll try it as well. That all said, thanks for the ideas, have no time tonight anymore but if I can spare enough tomorrow I'll try them in order of posts. Cannot promise a thing since I'd a long break, but I feel burnout is over, so, you'll see then
>>466890 >Picture of N literally eating out Uzi's non-existent cooch >"It's suggestive at best." Anon please. >>466891 Honestly I'd just use catbox to be safe, the Jannies are dumb and bipolar
>>466851 Trust me, it's hard to get shapes right in a few strokes/under a short time. Imo, you gotta ease up from thinking it's a race with thread autism and post when you're ready with your stuff. At most, take note when the threads are active but y'know, don't make it your job or something.
>>466851 >there's been some distain about talking about sentinel drones Are you talking about that one retarded janeposter from a couple of threads back? it's true that we talk about SD's a lot, but nobody said shit about other drone oc's. I have no clue why he decided to specifically call us out unless it was to start shit. >that's all i can really calk about in depth currently that's completely fine. I say just ignore them.
>>466724 >Writing is a different kind of creative exertion What I mean is for a story that I want to pair with a drawing, I have think of the sequence of things that will happen. Layer that with the characters involved (what their personalities are and how they will interact with each other). Then I have to think about describing the environment, if it affects the characters. There can be other reasons like setting the mood of the location and atmosphere. >The DDs are affected by sunlight >Irma is visiting during the day since the dumbsquad are active during the hours between dusk til sunrise (evening to night to early morning) >H told her he will be the only one awake so that he can receive the supplies from Irma, how do I make it happen within the rules of the in-show DDs? >Describe the weather as being overcast (we have this weather frequently so it's part personal experience) >How does being awake during morning affect H? >He's not used to it so it makes him a little groggy and slow >Which makes it reasonable for him to forget telling Irma that B and L are sleeping in the living room, which connects to the picture
>>466724 >>466902 Accidentally pressed 'Submit' before I finished my thought. But yeah, essentially I'm not bright enough to juggle multiple pieces of information, laying them down in a sequence that feels right. Looking at my old smaller stories, I feel like some of them are repetitive. Even when I write them down (on paper), I just slow to a crawl trying to piece them together. I might actually be like SD E irl.
>>466902 >>466903 I think I understand what are you saying, personally for me it's difficult to write in general. I think in so much stuff for a story and just throw it out, then I need to see how things will happen in what order and in a way that it has sense. I write the "road" for a story in a .txt to make myself understand how things will go, if not I'm going to get lost and don't know how to make things make sense and be in a good sequence.
>>466938 what is there to save? >humanity is dead >every other drone colony is dead >the Solver has nulled every relevant planet at most she can save Copper-9 and her close friends and family
>>466948 I mean, Uzi's colony has a number in its name, implying there are other colonies. We can only assume the other other colonies have fallen due to the orders Cyn gave. 'Clear all life within designated area, construct spire, look for cabin fever symbol. The area was infested with dead DDs meaning they accomplished their goals.
>>466857 And done. Time for the lore dump that I didn't want to end up as big as it is, but oh well.
>real name Rachel, a DD that absolutely adores music, her playing the drums being one of the biggest joys in her life >generally modest personality, very giddy when someone asks her about her hobbies, but there are times where she gets a bit too full of herself, seeing herself as a star that hasn't found her audience yet >she’s also a traitor that abandoned her teammates to do her own thing, but that might've saved her in the long run since she didn't become Sentinel food unlike the others >no one knows when she arrived in Takamagahara, but basically everyone, from Inoshima all the way to Kisaragi would very much appreciate if she left, not just because of her loud music, but also because of the bad weather she creates >since her powers are electricity based, whenever she gets in the heat of her performances, she can generate a LOT of residual energy, so much that she basically becomes a walking EMP field, and once she reaches the climax, all that energy is released in a singular shockwave that basically fries anything it touches; if she’s high in the air while gathering electricity, she can instead start the formation of a lighting storm >it’s this problem that makes her very conflicted, she wants to be a popular musician, but she also wants an audience that doesn’t short circuit or barricade themselves in their homes before she finishes; so she’s had to tone down many of her performances, meaning that the only times she really puts all her digital heart and soul in is when a thunderstorm is about to hit a town >on the plus side, she has become a legend of sorts in numerous towns across Takamagahara, even gaining the nickname “Raichil”, a pun between the first number of her serial name, her real name and the god of thunder Raijin, her concerts being a sign many take that a stormy day is approaching, so she has at least gained some fame, even though it's not exactly the one she wanted; there is another variant to her nickname, however, and that’s “Raiyon”, which is considered bad luck if you say it out loud and that you’ll be cursing your town with bad weather for a day
>>466956 >while she is a pretty skilled fighter, having a preference for her twin railgun and pile driver tonfas, it’s her mini bots she’s nicknamed “Bees” that actually do a lot of the heavy work >originally security bots she stumbled upon in an abandoned factory and that grew a liking for her after she freed them, she has “upgraded” since, giving them a new coat of paint (they were originally red and silver) and adding stingers to their arsenal that are actually her tail tip she repeatedly cut off to fit all of them with one >they possess sharp claws that can extend into longer plasma ones, a mini turret on their underside and can arrange themselves into a shield formation to allow them to protect 84 while she wails on the opponent with her own arsenal >since they posses stingers derived from her's, 84 sorta has a possessive attitude towards them, seeing how they all effectively now have a part of herself in them, and the Bees reciprocate this feeling, showing adoration towards her as their “queen” (a Queen Bee, so to speak); she also scolds them whenever they get damaged like a concerned mother since they don't possess her regenerative properties, meaning that she has to repair them herself >she also has to manually refuel their stingers with acid and make sure they don't make direct contact with it >unlike a regular DD’s stinger, they actually have 2 viles, one for the acid, and one they use to store oil in, draining it from WDs like mosquitoes and deliver it to their queen, so she rarely ever needs to go on hunts herself when she can just send them to drain some hopeless drone dry
>>466962 Honestly, how do you focus on the details this stuff? Do you just daydream constantly about shit you find cool and then decide to pop it into an OC? Because this is far more well thought out than it should be.
People co and trash threads “theorizing” about Cyn being the one who wants to destroy the universe and the Absolute Solver just being along for the ride gave me the idea for this dumb “comic”. While highly I doubt this is the dynamic Liam will go with, the Solver having no stake in the conflict whatsoever could lead to funny scenarios.
>>466964 >Do you just daydream constantly about shit you find cool and then decide to pop it into an OC? Yeah pretty much. I always let potential ideas simmer in my head for a few days as I write different notes down, start picking the ones that would work the best, then it's sketching time. Other times I just rawdawg the entire process and start drawing with little thought and a simple idea, THEN I develop all the lore and extra details. Like, Haruka and the entirety of Takamagahara/Sengoku wouldn't be a thing if I didn't sat in front of my compute one day and told to myself >I want a gothic lolita drone Then Youmu flashed in my head and from there, the idea evolved into >Hmm. How would I fit Poltergeists in this canon of mine?
>>466967 It's weird. Because I do more or less the same. Except it seems I put less thought into whatever dumb idea floats into my head.
For example, 5Ds Junk Warrior. Has a cool ass knuckle duster right? I applied that to my own OC for a sonic variant they use to increase the force of punches in their reckless attack style. But I can't for the life of me make the character interesting enough beyond weapon and character gimmicks. It would help if I actually did something with them more often, but I just don't have the same drive. My own worst enemy, I am.
>>466968 Long and thick ones. >>466969 Yeah that's kinda the other side of the coin, so to speak. When you can come up with cool ideas, but you just can't seem to make thing click together. The same thing happens to me too if I dwell too much on something or can't pull enough details from other sources to make it all work.
Image:171468467273.png(253kB, 489x432)everyone has such amazing potential within them.png
>>466969 >My own worst enemy they tend to carry their sadness everywhere, they carry their regret, not knowing it is dragging them down, not knowing they could let it go right now, to go on an inner journey within themselves, to speak to themselves, the parts of themselves they have been ignoring, the parts they have been avoiding, ask yourself “what have I been hiding from myself?”
I like MD because the characters avoid the pitfalls of other robot characters. Instead of them being all “My logic sensors” and “What are emotions” and stuff like that, they have legitimate feelings and motivations, and express those a lot

All right, folks! Meet the team!
>Serial Designation C-4RN4G300 (C for short) is the leader of the squad and the person who is doing his utmost to keep this shitshow of an operation running. He is in a way the opposite of the happy-go-lucky N, he is a depressed realist and magnet abuser. Using his scientific skills he does everything in his power to keep up appearances, while secretly working behind the Solver’s back while forgetting that he isn’t the first scientist who played with powers beyond one’s understanding.
>Serial Designation T. She is the group's responsible sarcastic murder-girl. One of the two defective drones in the squad. When the Solver created her, the data got corrupted due to spam data interference, caused by a former virus on her system. This resulted in her only being able to manifest regular tools as weapons, instead of guns and blades. The only "real" weapon she can manifest is grenades, but they are attached to her arm, so every time she manifests them, she gets her hands exploded. Armed with forks, kitchen knives and scissors, she is the kind of psycho who enjoys her job just a little bit too much. Let’s she who she’s gonna turn her blades against in the future.
>M0N-1Q3 (Monique Ver. III) Is a drone created by a different company. "Buck Flizzard's" Created household-drones. These drones were made more human-like than worker drones, they weren't made for hard labor like the JC Jenson's worker drones, but were specialized for maid, and companion duties, including but not limited to: Cleaning, cooking, watching the mental health of their owners, entertaining them and taking care of household pets. When the Solver repurposed her, It didn't take into account the hardware and Operating System differences. While the Solver could port itself onto her software, it couldn't optimize itself, which results in performance issues Monique's software. She is often lagging and has hard time processing too much or too intensive information. She isn't really made for this job in any capacity, but she is doing her best. As long as you hide your crayons, that is…
>>466986 >>466987 Hey Friend, this is well made. I love the designs and your little "twist" to the typical squad. One thing I want to point out. >C-4RN4G300 Subtle, jaja. Your drawing is good! Love it.
>>466991 Friend this is amazing! Sorry for the late reply I'm paying DRG while blasting music in my headphones very well made! She tok the armor from an old German museum, from the medieval times, so 100% metal.
>>467004 Canonically, not very good. All drones are made out of, well, metal, but Dissassembly Drones reach internal temperatures hot enough to probably melt human skin. This can be negated if they haven’t gone hunting for a while, since they probably won’t have used their functions and heated up their chassis. Even then cuddling with any drone would just feel rough. This is why I prefer to cuddle with worker drones or the much cooler Sentinel Drones
>>466870 Didn't really draw yet but I made a sorta 'sketch', messed V up but that's what practice is for, overall the idea works really good decided not to post cause it feels rewatding when there's no work done, also don't wanna spoil the idea. Thankfully it's Friday tomorrow, no promise but good chance yours at least will get done then.
Only issue with Alice's cuddleability are the two inwards-pointing knives on her Antlers, otherwise she's perfect, if one can take a few oilsmears. Imagine, she hasn't seen any real humans (face at least, CFL wear full body suits) in her whole life , but her behaviour shows she doesn't hate them, also not to forget that with exception of Beau no one was ever good to her, Idk just look at her, there are other zombiedronse but none are even close to being as special (mentally mostly) as Alice. Alice is severely humanlike, and very developed, but then zhere is zhe aspect of 20 years in isolation, there is something 'natural' about that crawling and scurryibg, I can't pinpoint it now but it is very comforting to think about. I mean, all life on earth was lost, sure, and ehile there exists a possibility her Antlers were inspired by media she had seen/knowledge of culture/earth she smh found (labs have computers, smth must habe been there, the Southern accent doesn't come from nowhere. But that isn't the pinot. what I meant before should have been worded a lil bit different, but to bring this to an end for now, it's nice to see how a drone, something manmade, given enough time ends up really very alive in a very natural way, more than just being human, and even the way Alice is 'human' is so far beyond the non-zombiedrones humanlrap already, it's just awesome to see. I'll make something better tomorrow of it
Alright so, everyone was pretty much in agreement in earlier threads that the Solver wanted the other hosts dead, for whatever reason. But what about this? The Solver deletes the sentinels and saves Uzi. Had the Solver not intervened Uzi would have been eaten here, yet it saved her.
I'm curious, have any OCfags regretted making your OC Murder Drones related rather than their own thing entirely? I'm not against people making OCs for Murder Drones because there are various reasons why OCs can be a good thing (filling out the rsoter of DDs for example because the show only named three of them and the rest were unidentified corpses), but i've never felt compelled to make my own original characters for Murder Drones because i feel like i'd be piggybacking off of somebody else's work. Writing my own stories is something i think about a lot but i always imagine it as something that takes place in its own universe that i made from the ground up rather than somebody else's. I'm really curious have OCfags ever felt this at any point?
>>467028 I plan on just ripping her out of her robotic shell or placing her in a new one if I ever (probably never) got the will to make my own work. Thats the funny thing about characters and OCs you make. you can transplant them.
>>467028 characters take very little workshopping to transfer from setting to setting making a whole new setting and new story for said characters is the difficult and tedious part
>>467028 >have any OCfags regretted making your OC Murder Drones related rather than their own thing entirely? Personally no, simply because I make with OC with the intent of adding more stuff to the setting with my weird world building ideas. I can totally understand the sentiment of wanting (either suddenly or from the start) your creation to be wholly original so that it doesn't feel like you're ripping off someone else's work, but if you were making OCs for a specific series, you were already doing them with the full intent of expanding on that author's work with your own stuff. Plus, they are your creations, if you even feel like it, you can always just repurpose them for a different setting if you want to, although if they gained any modicum of popularity in the past, it'll be hard to separate them from their previous incarnation (see: Ticci Toby and countless other examples). At the end of the day, you're doing this just to have fun, so there's no need to sweat it.
>>467028 Making fan characters is just for fun. But the practice it nets you gets you some mileage in drawing/writing. Fundamental studies and writing classes are like learning aspects of the language like grammar, tenses, etc. It can be dry and dull. Drawing/writing fan characters is where you apply what you learn but have fun with the process. It builds up the experience for when you want to make your own original stuff down the road.
>>467028 Maybe. It's more my lack of effort that makes me bueno the most. And the fact I got caught up in a shitty attempt at trying to be creative.
Still, it's fun. Probably the most fun I've actually had in a while. And its pushed me a little bit toward trying new things. I actually like writing down the dumb shit that spews out of my head from time to time. Anywho, have an M
For those freaks that like /trash/ for some ungodly reason, here. Anyways did I waste a good OP on this? I'm alright if someone re-uses it for /co/ https://boards.4chan.org/trash/thread/65418260

>>467100 oh alright that makes sense… then again if they haven’t already watched amazing digital circus yet then come to the internet, that’s their fault, I am not the problem here
>>467107 > I see you don't like taking responsibility for your actions why should I? everyone has been waiting for TADC episode 2 to air, maybe they should watch it first instead of spoiling it for themselves like a morons
>>466870 >>467010 Nothing much since I spent my time mostly elsewhere, however I still found some to begin the actual drawing (lower). The upper one is the sketch I did lastnight, figured it couldn't hurt to show since the other one is especially V wise incomplete. They won't stay that rough, I hope to colour it soon
>>467118 Thought it would fit given her overall and current (in scene of pic) situstion. I thought she did that in canon but now I can't find the scene, anyways, glad you like it so far
>>467119 I think Doll has some stares in episode 7, can't remember now. I'm liking so far, I wonder what V will be doing. Keep up the good work Friend.
>>467120 >7 could very well be, I need to rewatch it really >How V be doing Also very close to canon, but it's a sorta mix from 3/4 antics wise. If I draw it clean it will probably be good, anyways, goodnight for now
>>467121 I know V will do wonderful, I wonder what V will be doing, blowing bubbles, eating icecream, maybe just sitting and watching. I hope you sleep well Friend!
>Looking back at it, growing up in Austin was something that molded your way of life >So when you married Alice, a so called "hick" (which although offensive, was correct) it came as a big surprise; her agreeing to be with you even more so >At first, Alice was hesitant to move to Austin with you, saying something about “those darn' liberals and their agenda!” >But after convincing her that you two would be living in the suburbs, far from the hustle of the city, she reluctantly agreed >Now here you two were, living happily. >And then Beau came along >Not to imply it was a bad thing; it was the happiest day of both of your lives since your marriage >But now it was time for Beau’s first day of school >Alice was worried for him, claiming indoctrination or whatever else she heard from the news channels she listened to >You were concerned about some of the things she listened to, like Uzi “turning the drones gay” Doorman, but you knew she was smarter than that >Both of you had saved up money for him to attend a private education, which was enough to make her calm down >After a couple of months things were smoothly >You were driving home from work when Beau told you this thing his school was doing >They were holding a Story hour for kids with Drag Queens >Deep down you knew there was something wrong with letting Beau go, but what would your community think of your family?
>>467133 >When you got back home, you dreaded the conversation you would have with Alice >A million thoughts ran through your mind, ranging from “Of course not, have ye lost yer’ damn mind!” >to “I’m taking Beau. Don’t look for me filthy bootlicker” >You snapped out of it when Beau tapped your shoulder worryingly >Shit. Now you had made your precious boy fret “Don’t worry son, just thinking about some work things” “How bout you go inside and greet your mom. Tell her i’m just fixing some things in here” >Beau tipped the cowboy hat he loved dearly and went inside. >After thinking about it for a moment, you followed after him >The aroma of freshly sliced tomatoes and cornbread lingered in your home “Welcome home, darlin’. I was bout to come and look for ya’ myself.” >Alice said, wearing an apron with the words “kiss the drone” on them. “So how was yer day, sweetie?” >It was time to face the music >You explained to her about the story-hour at Beau’s school >How it would only be for a day, and that it would be a learning experience for him >Alice seemed frozen to the spot, the grip on the knife she was using hardened as you elaborated. “Well, I'm sure there ain’t nothin wrong with that. Go get Beau and tell em dinners ready”. >She was trying to play it cool, but the atmosphere of the room was thick. >Dinner was tense, and the food she cooked for you tasted bitter. >A little too bitter. You excused yourself to get a drink, but realized you were too weak to stand up >Alice stood over you “Don’t worry Non’, just making sure ye can’t see what happens next” >Was the last thing she said before (you) blacked out (2/4)
>>467134 >Hours passed before you woke up again, your hands and feet tied behind your back >The pitch darkness made it impossible to see where you were, but the shaking beneath you made it obvious you were in the trunk of a car >Around you the sound of trucks passing by was deafening, until they too faded away >Were Alice and Beau safe? >The car screeched to a sudden halt, and footsteps began to approach your side of the vehicle >The sudden light from the trunk opening blinded you for a minute, but the bigger shock was who was on the other side “Sorry bout’ that, hon’. Had to make sure we wouldn’t be disturbed by the boys in blue. Don’t worry bout’ what was inside yer meal, just something to knock ya out for a day or two. >She winked at you >Before you could ask, Alice slung you over her shoulder and started marching. >If it were any other occasion, you would find the scenery around you dream-like. >Thick trees lined both directions, and a picturesque mountain stood in the distance >After miles of walking, a large quaint cabin came into view. >Alice gently set you on the ground after going inside, taking the tape off your mouth as well. “Before you start bickering, Beau’s asleep upstairs. Wouldn’ want to wake him now would ya?” >Beau being alright got a weight off your chest, but the Remington Model 870 Alice carried with her did not “Being in that damn city’s gotten in ma nerves, and ol’ Beau needs to grow up the proper way” >You had a feeling that you weren’t going to be seeing Austin in a while
>>467135 >Stockholm Syndrome was not nearly as bad as you were expecting >You had considered running away a couple of times, but Alice’s silent threat hung over your head every day >And truthfully, Beau seemed to love living here. The nature was not a privilege you had back when you lived in the suburbs. >After a couple of months of being here, you had started feeling the same way as well. >Maybe things wouldn’t be too bad after all. >Your wife still loved you, and you had bonded with Beau with all the free time you had. >As long as you had Alice and your son by your side, you could settle back into normalcy >Damn shame the nearest neighbors were a couple dozen miles east; but you never liked your old ones anyways “Now what are you day dreamin’ about now, Anon? “I hope you ain’t thinkin’ about running off again.” >Beau was starting to look anxious at the thought of leaving “Of course not, Alice” “I was just thinking about how happy I am being here with you two”. >Alice blushed “Well, when ya put it like that…” >A small ringing noise came from the oven “Looks like dinners ready, hon~” >Seems that you could get used to this life after all… (4/4)
>>467127 There was a degree of plausibility that they were still reverse engineered by the humans until Liam hard confirmed they weren't during an AMA.
do you think nori will come back in episode 8? i think she will. if Uzi can survive going down that void, then anybody could. for some reason i also get the feeling she will have a reunification scene with khan
>>467141 I think so. There was a second flash before Uzi ended up in space. Either Nori was also sent into space or she's down there in the side tunnels that might be connected to the main shaft that led down to the core. I'd be a little annoyed if a character with that much weight on her just gets wiped aside if we got Khan, Thad and Lizzy making a return. She displayed proficient use of telekinesis in the fight and I shouldn't be thinking she just fell down there without noticing something to pull toward her and grab on. She's also currently the most knowledgeable character on Cyn/Solver. That doesn't necessarily mean she knows how to defeat or drive away/seal off the entity outright but she's gotta have something important to impart in episode 8.
>>467133 >>467134 >>467135 >>467136 Nice, made my day! It was worth the wait for sure, very original work, sorry if I don't recognize style but was it your first green here? In any case a very good one, hope I can add smth soon >Last part Anon won
>>467133 >>467134 >>467135 >>467136 Lovely, if a bit sinister. But at least Beau won't be corrupted by dem filthy libtards! I jest, that was a nice greentext anon. >>467148 >draft the next part of my continuation greentext I did back in late 2023 >Might nap now and play some KOTOR later before starting >before starting >starting YES let's gooooooooooo
>>467156 The less you know about the source material the better, for that knowledge leads to arguing about banana custard, vents and knees, bad game rules and spending ridiculous money on toy soldiers (Y thinks its cool though)
Yeah so when I was working on set for episode 7 I fucking hated that Uzi bitch. She keeps taking up my screentime honestly, she also refused to sleep with me. Me! I know tons of fucking sluts that would love a taste of my Disassembly Dick. Honestly I hope that bitch gets blacklisted from the industry.
>>466613(me) >>466618(me) Gonna keep indulging my autism until I can actually get myself back on the ball as far as writing goes Here's an attempt at an abridged timeline of the 'Solver War'
>Gala Massacre happens, creating the first 'Solver Hole' >Time passes, with the government(s) of Earth unable to make sense of what is eventually dubbed "The Australian Anomaly" >This period of uncertainty is interrupted when Cyn/Solver commences the next phase of their plan, unleashing the first wave of Solver-fabricated Disassembly Drones in a coordinated global assault >The abundance of Corpse Spires & Solver Holes (especially in major cities) results in increasingly large 'Hot Spots' that exposes both soldiers & survivors caught within to The Solver's psychic assaults (AKA "Solver Sickness") >Earth is officially lost when Cyn/Solver (who had been prolonging the inevitable "just for fun" at this point) officially kicks off the first planetary singularity >Galvanized by the destruction of Earth, The United Systems consolidates power to become the de facto leaders in charge of coordinating the fight against The Solver >A long & brutal 'war' plays out across human-controlled space, with the combined might of practically ALL of humanity doing little to stop The Exponential End's advances >As planet after planet is consumed The United Systems becomes increasingly desperate in their attempts to study The Solver for a viable weakness >While this (mostly) backfires spectacularly, it DOES reveal just enough about the nature of The Absolute Solver to learn a number of critical details and make a number of effective advancements (such as Sentinels & their derivatives) >Unfortunately one of these "critical details" is the fateful revelation of an imminent universe-consuming singularity that The Solver is on the verge of achieving >This apocalyptic reveal ultimately shatters The United Systems, causing practically all of it's leadership to flee into deep space in a desperate attempt to buy themselves enough time to "fix the situation" >Those left behind were given one last order in the form of 'Operation: Hail Mary' (which itself is little more than a scorched earth "Nero Decree" applied to all that's left of humanity) >Most understandably refused to follow through with such a suicidal order and instead chose to either hold out in a desperate & defiant last stand over the Eden system or continue their fight as a coalition of migrating fleets across contested space
>>467167 Very nice work anon. If there’s anything I hope they elaborate on in canon is how the average human experienced the Solver War. From the 30 seconds we saw of N’s flashback it looked hellish. >Operation: Hail Mary I vaguely remember something similar in the threads last year, about humanity taking one last stand against the Solver. Where you the one who came up with it, or did you take inspiration from the post? Either way the gaps you’re filling out is pretty good.
>>467166 >he doesn't know t. world eaters and SoB player bite me, Angron is most tragic character. I could ramble about him for hours, but I already scared two guys because of that
>>467170 Eh what the hell. Vocaroo it or something. I'm out of youtube videos to listen to while doing stuff. I'm not a player but my favourite Primarch is Dorn and once I gave a speech about him that gave me and the guys I was talking to goosebumps.

>>467174 Uzi gets captured by the Solver, and is forced to go and eat some of her colony. She gets fatter and fatter while some of the drones are trying to escape her stomach
>>467179 >DD >Literally made for killing and eating humans & Drones >Is a slave to an evil being that wishes to consume all life >Only a vorefag would want one I think I'll stick with a Worker Drone preferably a yandere one
>>467179 But in all honesty, Worker Drones. Like the other anon said DD’s were made to hunt and kill humans and could turn on you at any moment. WD’s love you and deserve to be loved back (unless you’re a sick monster who abuses them)
>>467184 >He prefers the unholy abominations twisted by the Solver of the Absolute Fabric over mankind’s greatest creation who were built to serve humans. Delusional. The only worse option would be if, god forbid, you said you preferred human women
>>467186 Anon, you love a machine that loves murder and killing as much, if not more than a DD. That literally needs a clean-up of the memories every few months or it will go suicidal or ballistic against anything that moves. At least I like things that can change for good, and do not lose their memories. I like Sentinel drones but I prefer another type of drone.
>big N snagging me by the ankle with his long, dextrous tongue >he dangles me above his sharp-toothed maw, letting his hot, humid breath wash over me >N drops me a few times only to catch me with hands or stinger tail, only to eventually let me fall into his mouth >he sucks on me like a piece of candy, swishing me from one side of his mouth to the other, pressing me against the roof of his mouth and wrestling me with his tongue >eventually, he swallows and I begin the one-way trip into his deadly stomach

Hello Friends! And good night. How are you doing? I'm doing somewhat well if you want to know. So I have a question for you all Friends, like I normally do. First, I would like to talk about why I thought of this question that I'm about to make. I was in a bit of a memory travel, seeing some old stuff and I remembered that I saved the first post that I made, that I'm 100% sure I made. What would you say was your first "contribution" to the threads? With this I mean a greentext, drawing, theory, idea, all of that Friend! Mine was a greentext, in September, full of grammatical errors. I still remember the replies and one Friend who supported my writing and gave me some tips, the kind words made me want to keep writing and keep going, and keep coming back to these threads. It feels nice to remember. What are you doing Friend? I'm trying to write.
>>467195 Hello smileanon, nice to see you again. >first “contribution” to these threads That’s an easy one. During the Sentinel Drone craze back in october I wrote a small greentext about (you) attending a gala with your Sentinel and Dissassembly Drone. I never ended up finishing it.
>>467196 Hoi Friend! Nice to talk to Friends once again. Oh! It was you? I remember that green! I did like it quite a lot, but always waited for the next part, to see what would happen to those Drones. >>467197 Is it the one a few posts up Friend? I should read that one.
>>467198 >I did like it quite a lot Wow, and here I thought people had forgotten about it already. I got sidetracked because I started writing HoDR, but maybe it’s time to bring back Lily and Juliette and finish the story after half a year.

>>467195 Good evening smilefriend! Not 100% sure if this is the first thing I've contributed but it's certainly the oldest I can find so I guess it counts? Kinda wild that this was posted almost a year ago, and it's even wilder considering how much things have developed (for both the series & the threads) since then!
*Cough* *Cough* How could you do this to me? *Pained Wheeze* You weren't supposed to get lives or have any other interests. Your brains needed Drones 24/7 and beyond, you needed to ingest Drones until your brain became a black slurry. *Dying Gasps* I need more greentexts, more art! To Liiive! *Death Gurgle*
Image:171488285820.png(186kB, 1000x1300)Yup totally friends. Yup just that.png
>>467205 So if Yeva did some Solver Shenanigans to transfer Mitchell's mind into a drone body, do you think she also had time to extract any other kind of 'data' from his old body? I've had this self-indulgent idea stuck in my head ever since Episode 7 yet my fickle brainworms won't settle on whether to write it out as generic headcanon or explicit smut
>>467199 Well, I read it, to be honest I don't know what to say Friend. It is well written, but that was sinister, and the happy ending that I thought would happen, didn't happen. >>467200 I didn't forget, I have difficulties remembering Friend but for some reason random stuff seems to be easier to remember, like the main ideas of greens. I didn't knew you wrote some of that too, doesn't surprise me to be honest, and I hope I see it if you continue it. >>467201 I've been here since September last year Friend! And I guess you are the one Friend that makes them, I study programming stuff but I won't know how hard that is, eight sounds impressive tho. >>467206 Hi hi Friend! I think it counts. That was a wild theory, but now we know JCJ kind of died and probably, I'm 99.99% sure they didn't create the AS. It has been so long since your first contribution Friend! I don't even know how threads were that long ago, since I'm quite new compared to other Friends.
>>467209 >I study programming stuff but I won't know how hard that is, There's no coding involved. You just describe the character, their appearance, personality, motivations, quirks, context, stuff like that. And then the AI role plays with the info you've given it. When it works it's fantastic, when it doesn't it's incredibly frustrating trying to tard wrangle it. >eight sounds impressive tho. There will be many more to come if I can find the motivation
Hello my fellow DOLLiN niggers, I am happy to announce that the fic has officially reached 150k words :) Writing about V makes me very depressed and I want to die :( That is all >>467179 I find the worker drone's more "visually appealing" then the disassembly drone's and I don't know why.
>>467207 FUCK YOU YOU RUINED MY LIFE Before all… this, I was a normal, well adjusted person. Sure, I browsed /co/ every once in a while, but only for art request threads. But then, Late July, I saw a thread with Uzi and decided to click on it. It was the worst mistake of my life Now, every night I dream of Cyn. Of Uzi and N and V and every other drone. I hit the refresh button every 30 seconds, expecting a green or new art piece. And my addiction to these threads kept growing and growing. And I was there for Ms. /co/. And I was there when the GlitchX announcement premiered. When newfags and drawfags joined. When the wait started to gnaw on our sanity. When Eve and Sentinel Drones were made and HoDR was created. When every OC after BOXO and ITanon were created. And I loved every moment of it. YOU DESERVE TO DIE YOU RUINED MY LIFE
>>467228 nta but jfc did you ever if your series is the one I think it is. She hasn't even appeared yet in person and she's horrible >alcoholic >disemboweling N >cutting his tongue off >trying to prod him into killing himself Why not complete the picture and add her raping him as well? There's a part in your first fic about her drawing the gala massacre in a notebook, does she remember bit's and pieces like N or is she more in-the-know like V?
>>467230 it crossed my mind while I was writing it and I'm pretty sure that was what I was trying to imply initially (I was mostly just throwing shit at the wall with the few first fic's. I couldn't tell whether i wanted it to be a funpost series or not, I cancelled like 2 or 3 fic because of it but I think I've struck a good middle-ground) and now I'm firmly in the camp of Ken-doll anatomy for drones with wire/coreplay being a thing (no anatomy adaptors). Her drawing the gala was meant to show that she was GETTING bits and pieces back before she died, she's not in the know like V, but there's subconscious residual blame from her for the events of the gala on N + her being jealous over him being Tessa's favorite (prete much canon-J but with extra abuse and trauma thrown in because muh edge and so N could relate more with Doll over having a really shitty life without the pretenses of even pretending that it was remotely good)
>Cyn comes back >Doll is also alive >Doll is still stuck inside Cyn's belly >It's now incredibly disgusting and disturbing as the two now essentially are forced to share a body >The fanbase is divided, one half wishing that Doll was dead and the other grateful she's alive >Gooseworx smiles with glee
>>467256 For me it was the lack of shading(?) on the upper side of her head and that it’s a completely new angle for her character. I think her hair is also different
>>467258 well the series is called Murder DRONES, not Murder Humans - and the only human actively in the series was just revealed to be a drone larping as a human
>>467257 Yeah Jane's hair is usually so frazzled, and her not having the shading doesnt help. Same applies to B, plus her tits are very saggy for some reason
>>467259 >just revealed >>464764 >>464766 >her range of vision may be limited from her giant space helmet So she wouldn't do anything tacky like put stickers on the visor, unlike a certain autistic Drone.
Image:171490389529.png(139kB, 712x505)theyre just trying the outfits.png
kept the idea for a little while until i could find something to write for the stuff before (Irma sending stuff to the dumbsquad) and being done with that feels liberating. now i just wanna draw them in the camp outfits for fun
>>467195 First thing I posted in the Drone threads was this whole J and Beretta greentext. I starting writing it because some people kept complaining that Jane had to die to have Beretta interact with other people and I thought you don’t need to do that to get different interactions. Turns out that writing a somewhat coherent story was actually pretty time consuming (which explains why those anons would rather piss and moan about stuff they don’t like instead of making content themselves). In hindsight I may have taken a few liberties with the Post-Good-Ending lore (Beretta having friends and V being “exiled”) but what is consistent lore in a Mongolian basket weaving forum?
Sometimes I forget how thick the lower legs/calves are on V (same thing on J, I just use this pic cuz I don't have a high quality pic of J from the training video thumbnail). Gahdayyum I really need to keep that in mind when drawing female DDs.
>>467279 Honestly I'm confused whether she's a thread character like Beretta (as in, the anon who first wrote her gave her up to the thread? or something, I might've gotten things confused here as well) or if she 'belongs' to a single writefag/drawfag. If she's more like Beretta, like. She has a few 'traits' considered/expected as 'essential' to her as a character and that's as much as you should concern yourself in writing her. If I remember right, she started off as a genderbent John (not the cheerleader outfit, the thick spacesuit one). So the timeline is kind of hazy there too. It was fun when she was just a small-ish side character to John and SD-I's shenanigans. John rejecting SD-I's advances and SD-I in turn rejecting hers (albeit extra aggressive advances). Nothing wrong with expanding her background but a writefag should pick a few essential ideas and then do their own thing (since she seems like a thread character than a single writer but I might be wrong there). Write for fun, and if people complain, separate the good advice from the bitter herbs. remembered that old Zefrank video, Invocation for Beginnings, I guess I still kept a few mental notes from that
>>467279 I remember I started reading it but never finished it, thanks for sharing it, Friend! Oh yeah, I remember those times, I would like to forget them, too many Friends fighting. It is very time-consuming, but the result is always nice, no matter how much one hates his own green later, that normally happens because one gets better at writing. I mean, nothing is official with OCs Friend, one can change things as he likes, even if there is like a popular way to write something. Also, spoilers Friend!
>>467282 I can remember Beretta was from someone, that same Anon wrote a green about Anon and Tessa, where Anon wanted to steal her family's money. He started acting a little bit badly, in the thread's opinion, can't remember exactly what he did, so people started to use Beretta since people liked to idea, to the point the thread gave her more personality, likings, etc. To that point, Beretta was more of a thread OC than an Anon's OC. The Anon tried to say he created Beretta but the thread already gave her more than her creator did, at the end he admitted that the thread owned Beretta, not him. Something like that was how it went.
>>467280 It does make me realize something. You know the thing about hazard stripes is that you're supposed to go toward the direction it's pointing down. I find it funny the direction of the stripes on J and V's legs point toward the area between them being safe. (I don't fault the art/animation team for a tiny nitpick, I just find it amusing.)
>>467295 If you want to be a little theorist about it, it's pointing down to them, saying drones should go to them. I would definitely run towards V, since there are no laws against the DDs.
>>467195 Hello, Smilefriend. >What would you say was your first "contribution" to the threads? W, I hadn't done any drawings or greentexts prior to introducing her.
>>467305 Hi Friend! You created SD-W? That is interesting! I love the OC, by the way, are there more things that you created? I want to know. >>467306 That is very recent if my memory doesn't fail me, as it normally does, I must admit that I find funny this little schizo gremlin.
>>467308 >by the way, are there more things that you created? I want to know My actual OC output is much higher, but I haven't introduced some of them yet either because I'm working on their designs still or lore. But for the ones I have introduced so far, >13 >GF >Haruka & Aoi >Megumi >Sonya >84

>>467309 She is pretty funny, Friend! >>467310 That is really interesting Friend. I have some OC that I need to write more but, I can barely write nowadays, worms are very dead. I know 13, Haruka & Aoi pretty fun pair not going to lie, the rest I can't seem to remember them, sorry, Friend.
>>467195 Mine is self-explanatory considering I received an unofficial namefag badge for it. Though I think it might have actually been a really shitty attempt at a Solver Uzi bloodplay greentext that was my first contribution. I can't remember. I've contributed a bunch of other things since then. You can have fun guessing which ones.
>>467313 An "unofficial namefag badge"? Could you say what name? I would say that every time a Friend receives a name it's unofficial. I think I might know what you are referring to, but I'm not sure. Sorry Friend, but I'm not good at recognizing, even if I tried I wouldn't be able to tell unless it textually says you did it. If the image is a tip, EmilyAnon? Probably not tho, I'm not good at this.
>>467321 I remember a lot of greens Friend, I just can't recognize who did it, which is normal for me, I hardly recognize anything unless it is textual or very obvious.
>>467302 I'll call you dopamine junkie anon. >>467311 >>467307 Dub him dopamine junkie whenever he shows up here or in /trash/ or /co/ threads. I say he earned it.
Hello Friends! And good night, again. I hope you are doing well, are you doing well? Well, I have a question for you all, Friends. We all know that a Pillbaby needs 2 Drone parents because it needs 2 codes for it to work and start living. But it needs a minimum of 2 codes or it needs 2 codes exactly? I think it is an important question because it brings another thing into question, if it needs a minimum of 2 codes, what would happen if it has 3 or more codes? How will it grow up and what it would have different? I just have some ideas, bugs mainly, maybe it would create some failures since it doesn't expect to have more than 2 codes and will create some things that wouldn't happen normally. What are you doing tonight? I hope you answer my questions Friend.
>>467329 Good night friend! And good timing >hope doing well Yes >Pullbaby I am not sure, iirc we have very little info on how it works, but I'll try. I'd say that they are clearly meant to have (two codes/are the norm, however pillbabies are technically unnecessary and a luxury item (I think at least during the times when humans were still around), so I don't think they'd have hard limitations in regards to amount of codes, especially considering how a program/system that can properly mix two codes (keep in mind that only the 'personality' part of codes is relevant for that purpose, not movement and other genetics that'd come along biologically) would easily be adaptable to using more than two sources. Honestly I can see two scenarios for which pillbabies were originally developed, #1, people 'keeping' drone families, I can imagine it becoming a sort of hobby among Elliot-like groups (more drone friendly ones tho, definitely affluent tho in order to warrant JCJenson developing pillbabies in the first place), in which case I can see them having an optional limit (for 'accuracy'), tho I guess since the tech is already there they could have easily been adapted by more 'niche' customers, I'm certain someone with Tessa's skill would easily have been able to do so. The #2nd reason for JCJ pillbaby development that comes to mind now is for research purposes, for example like the CFL program to 'weaponize/tame' the Absolute Solver, having one drone (Yeva) with patched AS in her code already, pillbaby farming would seem like an easy way to find how AS works in a drone/how the controllable version works while still having powers, either by seeing which code parts are consistent in pillbabies who have AS (all this is assuming that AS was not clearly detectavle in the code from zhe beginning) and thereby closing in on it (don't ask me for details pls) or by making more dronekids to farm patched AS drones without risking what happened with Nori. Honestly the first method of #2 sounds more plausible, I cab't remember CFL's exact goal tho, why did they take the risk with Nori again instead of exploring Yeva? >Bugs create failures It's possible if they are made for just 2, but I think if someone for some reason would want more than 2 (and then only if there is a limit) it should be easy to adjust, considering how such a limit is likely artificial since zhe program could likely easily work with more. Not sayingyou are wrong thoy I just put all this 'lore' together, good chance I based it on something I misremembered doesn't exist so it's not absolute. If you'd wanna write smth with a pillbaby having more than 2codes you shouldn't let it stop you tho. Got out of hand, hope it answers it kinda >What are you doing Thinking bout wanting to draw, and what I could draw after the current one (think it's your request with Dill and V). Didn't do much drone related, I still have my current build going on and didn't run in any problems, a carrier airgroup takes a lot of time, it is extremely distracting having an unfinished model on the same table, until I finish it my work will sadly likely stay that slow.
>>467329 I don't know if a pillbaby 'needs' codes donated by two parents, it might just be the worker drones imitating human culture. A single WD might just end up making a clone of itself, but I think it theoretically can (if, say, it was stranded alone within the Drone Productions Facility on a planet). As for more than 2 parent codes, that depends on if the hardware/body of an Untrained Neural Network (the pillbaby, as the show called it in the pilot) can handle more than 2 parent codes. If it can, I think the 'life experiences' of more than 2 parents might result in a normal WD, but that depends on the parent units involved. If, say, all three or more are the same type (mine workers) then I think there wouldn't be a problem. The pattern recognition from the three parent units would be similar enough it wouldn't overload the pillbaby and potentially affect future decision-making ability. The interesting question is if all three (or more) are of different 'work environment' drones. One's an assistant to a human chef, one's an assistant involved in repairing worker drones who are damaged but still functional, one's a mine worker. You may end up with a WD who is a little erratic, maybe somewhat saddened that it has decision-making pathways that aren't gonna get used (since humans are all dead).
>Made timblr account to see Alice art cause otherwise you get kicked after 5 sec >Niggers are all terminally degenerated >Absolute faggotry all over the place >Unironically a dozen(!) faggots yapping about dykeshit and how Alice supposedly tranny cause of the Antlers (niggermeme from reddit iirc) >Can't even sacrifice the account telling them to rope cause all the degens disabled/limited comments to fellow troons >Pic rel was zhe only zhing I found I hate zhe nirmies so much it's unreal, gotta up the 41% it's not enough, holy shit niggers are fucking retarded here is heaven jnironically
>>467333 Hello Friend! Yeah, I'm still here, if that is what you mean. Perfect! Pullbaby. I think in the livestream with Liam it said the basics but not much else. Yeah, I think minimum they need 2 codes to work, all the function parts would come already in the Pillbaby, but all the skill (or personality if they have one) would be thanks to the code of 2 Drone parents, but having more to be honest I still think it would bring big problems since it is not expected. I like the two theories you just created Friend, the second is a very good idea, to be honest, I like that one, since it would really work and to be honest they would have liked that every Drone had the patch from the get-go, but I would like to give my theory; Drones were made to work but I don't think they know what to do from the start, I think they learn in their job little by little what they are supposed to do, but with Pillbabies they would already know what to do from the second they have a normal WD body since the code they would take is part of the skill of two WDs, but what they did not expect is that they would be able to have personality and they would also take part of the personality of the two Drones they took their codes from. I don't really think it would be easy to explain, for me, is already hard to work in a team of programmers everyone doing something different than having it all in one project without bugs, bugs tend to happen and they need fixing, those are later fixed; What I'm going with this is, having two codes fuse without supervision and working without problems is already hard enough, I can't imagine with 3 or more. Don't worry Friend, probably everything is wrong, it is just theories at the end, but even if I had an idea with that, being not canon compliant wouldn't stop me. Yeah, it does. That is good to hear, how did you know it was mine?. I hope everything goes fine! And, that sounds fun, to be honest; Don't pressure yourself, have fun! >>467334 I think it needs it tho, though I think Liam said it in the old livestream, I need to check it out again to see if I'm not misremembering. It could happen, use one code instead of one, but I that would be just a clone Drone, and if it's made for 2 codes minimum I don't know what problems could happen. That's the question I'm asking if it can accept more than 2 parent codes, can it handle it? Could it bring bugs? It's difficult for me to think more than 2 codes would create a normal, working WD, but exceptions can exist. That makes some sense, if the parents do not have personality, are still just plain old WDs, and are the same, it could bring no problems. Codes from damaged Drones don't necessarily mean problems if the place where they allocate the code is intact. If a plain old WD happens to survive with that 3-code scenario, yes, I think it could be sad that it can't fulfill the work it was made to do.
>>467339 Fine if you're just venting it out but it wouldn't help. I just hide the posts and wait out until they run out of energy. They're not as strong as my love and autism for Liam's works (though I wish I was as strong as Alicefag's love for the character lol). I just wish some of the anons on /co/ could read the room a little better and tell when someone's baiting and being disingenuous about the show, be in a bit of a better mindspace, calm down and hide the troll posts, and post drones. I don't know about you but I haven't read any of the posts there talking about the show with sincere interest/confusion (except the fans more in tune with the show replying to said disingenuous posts).
>>467339 i said this before already but i'll say it again, i have made peace with the fact pluschan (and to a lesser extent /trash/) is my new designated place to talk about murder drones. i seriously doubt things will go back to they way they were before the mod sperg out
>>467350 I just think they're neat. Recently I've taken a liking to N. Something about his submissive nature, but also the fact that he's a ruthless predator that could lose control is pretty neat
>>467356 That's good. But let me tell you something, yeah no he is no ruthless predator, just a DD doing his job. No I don't want to read your 10 page essay on why he is... I already read 2. [spoiler]And what is worse that is not even a joke, I have been traumatized.[/spoiler]
>>467361 Uzi taught him that workers are friends, not food. But of course there is no Uzi to teach him right in MY story. There, he is my submissive pet DD, until he loses control, then the roles are reversed.
Trying to eyeball colors from episode 4 is a little hard since the episode has a cold blue tinge for most parts. I think N's camp counselor uniform is khaki with dark brown pants (and sleeve trims too), or just black? V's is probably hunter green... or maybe I should just look up camp counselor uniforms and see what colors they use.
Reposting from /co/ >Staying late at the office should have been routine at this point. >Sure, it was soul-crushing that you would never see that sweet overtime pay. >But the Copper-9 job market was ruthless, and most dreamt of having the same pencil-pushing gig you had. >As your seniors left one-by-one to let you deal with the workload, you were once again left to the company of the Drones.
>The Worker Drones did their job just fine; they never bothered you, and you never bothered them. >By some divine grace, the DD's had been moved to some new asteroid mine lightyears from here. >That meant no more infighting with the other models. No more paranoia from the vent in your cubicle. >And then there were the Sentinel Drones.
>The relationship between you and the Sentinel secretaries had been nothing but cordial at best. >A small nod of acknowledgement here and there. >Although they had gotten a little too close for comfort sometimes. >But their behavior changed once everyone left. >They kept following you around the building, watching from a distance. >You would have been creeped out If it weren't for the fact that they also doubled as security. >Scratch that, you were creeped out. >It was bad enough that they never spoke; you had caught them going through your belongings after a restroom break once. >Knowing that they knew where you lived was unsettling. >But it's not that they could do anything with that info. >They were company drones, after all. They weren't authorized to follow you home. >Or at least you hoped they couldn't.
>>467349 Golden Ages come and go. The brief period after Episode 7 felt like the pre-Droneanon threads again. The hard part will be when to know to say goodbye.
>>467382 Cyn for both >cuddling She can coil her long body all the way around you like a snake, fully wrapping you up >studying Imagine all the forbidden eldritch knowledge she could teach you
Just gonna straight up ignore /co/ for the foreseeable future, too much stinky shit consistently going on over there as of late Another autism post, this time focusing on the interesting idea of there being some passive Solver mindfuckery humans (and presumably drones) were exposed to in the Solver War
"Solver Sickness" >Sentient beings caught within The Solver's localized sphere(s) of influence run the risk of their minds being psychically 'assaulted' >The purpose of these mental attacks is twofold; Demoralize the victim enough to "willingly" coerce them into making a deal with The Solver, and/or drive the victim into a state of helpless (and often fatal) insanity for The Solver's own amusement >Much like cancer this phenomena is typically categorized by various 'stages' of degeneration, with a number of factors (length of exposure, intensity of exposure, overall mental fortitude, ect) determining how far & how fast these stages of "corruption" may develop
Stage 0 >Retroactively diagnosed to any & all human operatives that have (or are believed to have) come into contact with either Solver Slaves or Solver Shenanigans >Common symptoms include: Supermajority of individuals self-report as asymptomatic, although heightened levels of "reasonable" anxiety & mental stress are considered 'normal' >Diagnosed individuals are typically 'cleared' following a mandatory physical & mental checkup
Stage I >Mild and often unintelligible influence has either been reported or detected during a mental checkup >Common symptoms include: Anxiety, Confusion, Dizziness, Irritability >Diagnosed individuals are to be closely monitored for further deviating behavior, with mitigation (and even recession) of symptoms managed via removal of the individual from the zone of exposure (if deemed practical) & the short-term administration of antipsychotics
Stage II >Voices and visions of The Solver's design begin to manifest, often of a generalized & foreboding nature >Common symptoms include: 'Minor' episodes of Psychosis (Auditory & Visual hallucinations begin to manifest), Insomnia, Depression, Mood Swings >Diagnosed individuals are to be immediately rotated out of 'active' duty & should be tested/monitored for signs of "seditious behavior"
Stage III >The Voices and visions become more intense, with their focus & narrative taking on an intimately personal (and often traumatic) nature >Common symptoms include: Onset Schizophrenia (increasingly vivid & lengthily hallucinations), Psychotic Depression, Suicidal Ideation, Hypomania >Diagnosed individuals are to be held for long-term observation; Although experimental treatment can & should be administered if possible, the chances of symptom regression is considered "highly unlikely"
Stage IV >Perception of reality has become entirely unhinged, allowing The Solver to influence these mind-broken individuals however they see fit >Common symptoms include: "Stark Raving Madness", Terminal Delirium, Dementia, Dissociative Disorders >Diagnosed individuals are considered 'lost' and thus the only "treatment" plan is for them to be subsequently euthanized
>>467385 Some good autism here though, nice. Trying to connect this to Cyn, I do like to think about Cyn's progress of falling into the Solver's grasp being something gradual. Even though she let the entity in by unknowingly accepting the bargain (I mean let's cut her some slack, if humans didn't know what they were dealing with, how could she), maybe she was a bit more of herself initially before succumbing to the Solver after excess/careless usage of its powers. As for the test subjects in CF Labs, your post might be like the notes of the researchers there as they slowly figure things out on Copper 9. Nori might have gone through stages 0 to 3 again once her memories started returning to her during life with Khan in the outpost.
>>467276 >"Do you think the medic's gonna like this outfit?" >"...I don't know." >"By the way, I saw the books and the batteries. Did she come over?" >"Yeah." >"C'mon, tell me the detaaaails." L pouted. >H sighed >one thing for sure >he's not telling her that he mumbled about their captain while passed out in recovery mode >she's NEVER going to let him live that one down >"Lemme think.." >L's eye lights widened with curiosity >"She dropped by with a parcel box full of the stuff you saw. She went in, noticed you and the captain sleeping in the living room and froze. I had to let her know you two won't wake up til later and even then, she was pretty shaky." >L's upbeat curiosity melted >"... I take it she's still that afraid of me then." >"...Hey. Small steps. Might take some time but I'll help where I can." >"... Thanks Romeo." >>467276 i'm not sure about camp activities. i think L would be a competent camp counselor if there's someone to direct her, like the supervisor above a team of camp counselors or a camp director. she spent time with a very active adventuring Julia (there are bits about the human family they lived with that i wanted to write but in due time) so she's familiar with stuff like that, a camp counselor guidebook in hand and she'd be alright. H wouldn't be the high energy sort of camp counselor like N was, his hard shell means he's mostly inert to others outside of his squad and the medic/her adopted WD. but i picture him being the quiet camp staff who gets errands done.

>>467350 I've always been fascinated by computer graphics and I have an appreciation for 3D craftmanship. I keep subconsciously comparing Murder Drones to Beast Wars because I haven't seen something as revolutionary since. One reason TADC doesn't grab me is because it isn't flexing it's technical muscle as much as MD. Though the silhouettes in Pomni's nightmare impressed me with their fps. I've always loved robots and suits of armour. They are tough and have cool designs. It took me until Dark Souls to stop turning my nose up at leather and cloth as materials. Though I still dislike the look of regular clothing. MD robots may not look badass but they are cute and appeal to a number of emotional needs. Protecc, befriend, fugg, tease.
>>467406 It's a she, Switch, and as far as I remember she is fucked up on the inside physically and modified to hunt disassemblers so she's not in any danger
>>467377 >sentinel drone >multiple How many sentinel drones are we talking about here? Because if I have to guess what will happen, Anon will not be able to feel his lower body for a few days from their assault
>>467411 The name anons gave him never sticks, for example some anons called him doodlesanon, it was used some days maybe a pair of weeks before it was thrown out because it was underutilized. If you want to know why of that name, he called good looking ,almost finished drawings doodles some times.
>>467401 I don't know much about the technical stuff but I must say that Murder Drones sure does look pretty and nice. And for the second thing, it is funny that robots with armor look nice but it would be useless, their "skin" is already armor, still looks cool. They do look cute and fills me with the feeling that I need to protect them all. >>467402 Fair enough.
Back with more of Switch's diary. I was missing for a few days because of orthodox easter so if there's any balkan anons here too, I hope you had a great easter like I did.
ENTRY 6 >I can’t stop reading books or watching movies. It’s not just cantonese media anymore, I started looking at english media too. Supervisor Ling gave me some books to take with me to read, hiding them from the other humans of course, and I’ve been trying to sneakily read more while doing my construction duties while the humans aren’t paying attention. I don’t really care much about the other Worker Drones finding me reading, they’re too…braindead, not conscious, for them to report me to the humans. I’ve started to pity them, we Worker Drones were built for something far greater than being mindless slaves if we were given the chance. Supervisor Ling taking me to his office has become almost a daily occurrence and it’s the only time I get to watch movies when not reading. I’ve tried getting into other genres but things about what it means to be a person and the more violent flashy stuff are still my favourite. I’ve been getting some strange thoughts as of late. I have been imagining the Head Supervisor getting hurt or killed in the most grotesque possible ways, sometimes even me hurting her. Sure I didn’t like her but this is something new I didn’t experience before. What was this called? Intrusive thoughts? I must speak with Supervisor Ling, he’s the only one I trust to talk about this.
Questions for the People who know Sentinel drones better then me:
Do sentinel drones do the (x) visor that DD's do, or have their own equivalent? i was probably going to do some drawing this week and was curious about it because ive never seen any drawn with any special visors (besides 1-2 OC's that ALWAYS have special visors, but those don't count)
Are Sentinels waterproof? this probably wont turn into anything unless i suddenly decide to draw a Sentinel drone in lifeguard attire, but considering they run cold it might change how things like water affects them, idk.
>>467422 > water i think drones are water proof N was fine sitting in the rain and Tessa presumably pulled all her drones from outdoors junk piles which would be exposed to the elements and i dont think she pulled off a full-ass flawless exterior restoration on them
I just thought of something. What if the explosive inside the DDs is still canon? What if it's just on a set timer? Like someones pancreas about to explode? How would N deal with that?
>>467430 Liam Vickers said that when their job is done, Disassembly Drones automatically self-destruct. This isn't considered canon still because of many things
>>467425 >It's been 5 years since The Solver was defeated and drawn back from this universe >N and Uzi have grown closer since then in that time period, much to Nori's annoyance >One day however, N musters up the courage to propose >Uzi accepts without even letting him finish the speech, grabbing and pulling N into a tight kiss >Despite the joyous occasion however, N begins to feel a little sick, which is strange to him, after all how could a robot get sick? >N thinks about telling Uzi, but ultimately decides against it, he can't bear to see her in distress >The day of the wedding comes >N is now in more pain than he's ever experienced in his entire existence, he feels something pulsating and buring inside of him yet doesn't understand why >Yet despite all that he still hides the truth from Uzi, putting on a cherry facade as the two finally kiss sealing the marriage >Uzi being Uzi, decides to sweep N off of his feet and immediately bring him to their Honeymoon Suite >N is pinned to the queen-sized bed, his fancy suit torn from his chest by Uzi in a ravenous state of pure lust >Uzi's hand glides down from his chest and towards his crotch, a smirk appears on her face >N's eyes widen in suprise at the strength of Uzi’s grip >The pain however shoots up in intensity, heats begins to rise from his body and N can feel his organs liquifying >He begins to groan in pain, but Uzi doesn't stop >She believes that N is only feeling intense pleasure >And then without warning >*POP* >N's dick quite literally explodes in Uzi's face >Pieces of N go everywhere, staining the room in a steaming hot oil which sets fire to the curtains and bed
>>467433 The headcanon I've come up with for it is that synthetic semen is far stickier and thicker than its organic counterpart. This is a huge problem for WD-N, as when he steals his masters clothes to masturbate with them, it is incredibly difficult for him to clean it up to hide his actions. As for the taste, I imagine it would be like a more concentrated version of normal cum, but with a more palatable taste, something less bitter. It would also have a very strong and noticeable smell, another problem for WD-N trying to hide his actions.
>The Doorman girl cutely blushed as she pulled up her shirt to expose the slim black of her silicon midsection. >Pouting all the while.
>""Can you hurry up? This is embarrassing"
>Patience was a virtue. And this wasn't exactly a job you want to rush. >Just a few more seconds running your hands over the soft surface. The grooves practically reveal themselves. >It's even warm, tensing a little under the tender duress.
>"C-c'mon...you're done now right?"
>Looking up reveals her blush has deepened just a smidgen on her visor. >Seems Beretta was a little sensitive round that area.
>"Yeah, I'm done."
>You politely unstuck your hands and let her push the fabric of her hoodie as far down as it can go. >It was cute to see her phased by this interaction. >Usually Beretta's more calm. Especially after witnessing the horror of her parents' maintenance tape. >That would render anyone stoic to the horrors of life.
>"You're a weirdo."
>"But I'm *your* weirdo."
>Some scrunched up paper promptly impacted your nose. >Hard.
HOI FRIENDS! And good night, I'm sorry for talking so late. How are you doing my Friends? Seeing the magnets on the main cast in episode 6 made me remember some old greens, and that made me think of a question. Do Drones get high with magnets? Is it possible? That made me have another question in my mind, what kind of things would be drugs for Drones and what would they do? Yes, those are my questions. I know we had a talk about this a long time ago, but I think we talked about magnets, anti-freeze, and alcohol only, let's talk about other things that could affect our little cute Drones! Also, what are you doing? I want to know.
>>467492 Hello Smileanon >what kind of things would be drugs for Drones. WD-40 would probably be a popular one for them. What it could do for them I have no clue. Battery Acid in it's pure form would make them hyper similar to cocaine in real life. We know they consume batteries in canon, so I can see them extracting it and drinking it from the source
>>467493 Hi there Friend! Isn't WD-40 a kind of lubricant? It would make movements more smoother. That's interesting, I did not think of that before. What is your reasoning for it to be like cocaine?
>>467495 Well, battery acid comes from other things, like car batteries, which are used to provide power to other things. I actually agree more with what >>467497 said. It would be funny if it were closer to vodka.
>>467502 That is a lie. No one can eat a boulder. Even if you, hypothetically, would be able to eat a boulder, you would have nothing to gain from it at all.
>>467489 A Sentinel Drone variant called an 'Intoner' When I have free time tomorrow I'll see about adding all this older Sentinel Drone Stuff I have to the booru
>>467337 Good point about code mixing being a programing problem, I kinda looked past that aspect since I have zero clue of programming and assumed the singularity in the xore has to play some role(with enabling processes far beyond what's programable, drones can learn and develop on their own, especially zombiedrones who lose the programed limitations), but that part doesn't come into effect yet with pillbabies, they likely have no singularity core yet. >Hope everything goes fine Thanks, it did indeed. >Spoiler Something about the request involving V in such a way as well as the way of speaking, I sensed it. Btw did smth on it, V is in a wwird perspective but her head is surprisingly easy to draw, hair especially. Maybe I can get it done till tomorrow at this time, bout 50/50, especially considering I nearly completed the Val's by now. >>467492 Hello again, have nothing to say about the question really cause I know little bout thd topic. I'd agree with the other anon and say WD40 wpuld be popular, it's to prevent rust but for 1-2 days after applying it works better than any other lubricant, it'd probably give drones some kinda high till it wears of, it's the easiest one I can imagine, just can't compare to a druh. >What doing Nothin, I drew a little and sketched two ideas I got, but they'll be bigger and will take time and space, I'll do the smaller ones all first.
This image is so incredibly nice, just shows Alice in a way, that is kinda hard to explain but so nice, I don't know it's too late. She is so perfect bros
>>467509 I meanz this, she is so calm fixing her fingery her expression and everything during that scene, it's short but has a big impact on the impression of Alice we got, it's proof the extra lore was at least partially intended.
>>467471 Would V even WANT to have children? I feel like she would be put off by the possibility of 'cursing' her kids to live with "eldritch genetics"
>>467506 Hello Friend! I'm on phone right now so probably my answer will be shorter that normal. I know a little about programming, I'm still no expert so take my idea with a grain of salt, we still do not know what the core contains, it could be just energy for the Drone and nothing else, storing all the code in another place of the Drone, I like to think it contains their personality, process their feeling, etc. Because it sounds poetic but probably that is not the case, but at the end of the day I still find hard to fuse two codes automatically without outside help without having any bugs, and I think more code is going to bringore bugs. That is wonderful to hear! My way of speaking is easily detectable? I wonder how, and I'm sure there qre more V fans than me, I thought with that it would be impossible to know that is me. Interesting to know Friend, as always take your time, the most important part is to have fun doing it, if you don't have fun, them is not worth it, most of the time. Hello hello! I understand, the only drug I consume it's alcohol, and I'm no expert in that, I'm asking to see what ideas Friends have about this. Would you be able to explain how that would work? I'm genuinely interested since I only can see WD-40 as a lubricant, help me understand. Understandable that you want to do the smaller ones first, I wish you luck in that!
>>467512 She probably loves the idea but fears the consequences, too much trauma with the Solver, she would fear the possibility of bringing to the world a solvered drone
>>467387 It won't let me repost it in the thread due to being a 'duplicate file' already on the board, but for posterity here's a booru link https://dronebooru.co/posts/807
>>467510 I liked that bit. She affixed the finger segment and then quickly got back to business. The smile she does right after that pic is so attractive... Also I'm guessing the humans designed the test subject attire so they can see the chest light for identification, maybe they figured out Solvered zombie drones under possession change their light display to yellow and it happened consistently enough for them to recognize it as a clue. But whew, it's just. It's a sultry piece of clothing I tell ya.
>>467512 >V tries leaving her (possible) SolverSpawn with you after you got her pregnant during a CLANG session >Apparently solver modifications can do that to a Drone >Little does she know, Anon Senior trained you for this day >You've already dumped all the milk down the drain, burn the cigs up, and have your best Nikes on >You're all outta milk, have to get some cigs, and you're sure as shit skipping town. >V just barely misses you yeet out the back windows, ready to knock down your door and probably demand some early Child Support or something. >You've almost left Copper-9 when she gets your trail >Good as you are, V is still a disassembly drone >And the best of her whole squad And if there's one thing she loves more than that sweet, sweet humie blood Its that's sweet, sweet humie blood after a good hunt

>>467567 I think that's one of the reasons TAnon hated him. If I remember correctly, he straight up said at one point that he regrets making the character
>>467570 Just an edgy lore dump I saw that talked about how he's some special experiment that hunts and eats DD's like they're nothing, and how his only weakness is plot-armour that stops him from eating thread OC's.
>>467574 Well hold on a minute let's think about this. Most if not all OCs have an overly tragic backstory and are also efficient and effective essentially unstoppable killers that face almost zero resistance. Even E, has a barbarian mode where she becomes virtually unstoppable
>>467575 Then there's Boxo, he's just T without the cannibalism. He's unstoppable, invincible to virtually everything and can easily wipe the floor with DDs
>>467575 Most OC's are just regular DD's, tragic backstories and being a killer are just a part of that. That's just how all DD's are in the actual canon. I would say the main thing that separates T in my eyes, is that he is a new type of drone that treats DD's as fodder. As well as the bit about how his only weakness is plot-armour, which is the main thing in my book. So no, I don't think most OC's are coldsteel tier. I would say there are very few edgy OC's at all, at least among the ones that are regularly posted.
>>467575 Idk the OCs I designed I feel are out of the Cold Steel tier >John: Has to disguise himself because hes a pissbaby, and luck his way out of any engagement. If he actually had to fight anyone he would certainly die but doesnt have to because he would disguise himself as a cactus an escape I guess >Jane: Incompetent and a failure. Even during the war with the solver she struggled against DDs and barely scrapped by, eventually jobbing to the solver thus losing everything >SD U-U(shared custody with Femanon): Basic DDs with a twin twist, too busy fighting each other to be OP. Gremlins Not sure if just being sad or gimmicks counts as cold steel or not, but also OC fighting is gae. I think all OCs are wonderful an I love em and I love you anon
>>467578 That, I think depends on the angle on the character, what you want to write him as. Elements of his character >he was a military robot piece (I don't remember if he's JCJenson(IS)-related or not) >his story gets embedded in canon since he was written to be found by Tessa and taken in, fixed up >his tragedy is being unable to protect Tessa at the Gala massacre. That's about the extent of what I remember of him. Thing is, I like the flavor of tragedy in Murder Drones and the main DDs already do have a horrible backstory. You can make T the same deal as the main DDs but his capabilities, I'm not sure how to work that in with the tragedy. I apologize but I don't remember where T is supposed to be located in his story at present, is it on Copper 9 or somewhere else... So, allow him enough capability to fight and take down one DD, maybe, considering his militaristic design. But how do you use that in a story? Have it be that he remembers worker drones at Tessa's manor whenever he has to fend one off. But before that, you need to write smaller stories where he managed to bond with other worker drones, whether they're the zombie ones Tessa found or even the base WD staff at the manor. Bend some 'rules'/stuff to tell a more amusing story for his past (within reason of course), because his present is suffering.
>>467588 He's not supposed to have a regen like the DDs having restricted Solver (their regen rate is hard to map out but pilot N regens his head, he also regens relatively quickly with his injuries in episode 7), but maybe he could have an experimental self-repair hardware that does the same thing. But give that piece of him limitations, something like a weakness to concussion from getting hit by a missile or being slammed into a wall really hard during a fight. Or if a slash happens to hit the hardware, it slows down dramatically which forces him to be more careful. This is more on the autism side of his 'design' rather than his character, but I feel toning him down slightly below DDs in terms of self repair could help balance out his ability to fight and kill one. Forcing him to be cautious also adds a layer to his tragedy, maybe he's reminded of a WD at the manor that told him a joke or helped dust him off where his arm can't quite reach. Small touches of kindness shown by the WDs he knew at the manor that remain in his memory even though he's trying to fend off a DD that may look similar to a WD that did something nice for him.
>>467593 Thanks for this, I feel like practicing a bit of writing. It might actually be challenging to balance the campy bits with the tragic bits. How does Liam fucking do it...
I tried posting on /trash/ it said I'm banned, then I remembered I'm on phone on a "public" WiFi. I was scared for a second. If you want to know the reason, ban evasion, I wonder what that guy did.
>>467519 Yes, absolutely, the entire scene is awesome, seeing Alice just working from so up-close to her face, it's genuinely amazing, also hollow eyes for most of the time (especially the 'half' eyes, like in >>467510, we haven't seen these anywhere else [the sorta neutral version, not the angry]). It's all so.. weird to tell exactly but I find this entire process so intereningt, from Uzi suddenly biting off her finger while she was most likely even facing away from her (the radio in Alice's room can be seen in the background, it sits on the 'table'-surface infront of the screens, so she was probably using it via her tail and talking in it's direction, also mind how the way she calls Beau in the beginning sounds somewhat like she is a little bit away, not sure if I remember it correctly but the entire talk from Alice's side over the radio sounded like it), Alice's interest/amazemnet over finding out Uzi was Nori's (inspite of initial bad reaction) that was then dampened so severly by the bite, her disappointed tone directly after the bite (...need more sedatives), it is kinda sad to see. But what I really meant was the finger scene afterwards, maybe it has smth to do with us never having seen a WD repair itself before but it's awesome how she does it so fast, with that expression the entire time, the grin afterwards and finally pic rel, that smile is extremely nice, it's overall pretty based ngl. >Chest light We couldn't have known yet during 6 but now that you say it it makes a lot of sense, I wonder if they would also have had numbers similiar to [00]/1001 below it. Indeed the light changing would really be a good clue to posession, from what we've seen in 2 Cyn already had the yellow when she was first brought back, surely at the time of CFL they figured out it was a sign of AS control. And yeah, it absolutely is pretty hot clothing, not only beautifull with the overall look of her but damn, that much chest (collarbone area especially) being exposed looks really good. Designwise (balances Alice from looking too dark) and attractionwise as well
>>467604 Okay I read it, start was bad, mid was good, the end is not going so well. Something interesting, maybe it has nothing to do with it but... US hours, EU hours, US hours.
>>467600 >CF Lab test subject outfit >neck so low it droops down almost below the chest LED >Alice's chest light and collarbone all in plain sight God imagine running your gingers tenderly on those collarbone ridges and finding it to be a comfortable spot for drones. And Alice enjoying that sort of touch from a human.
>>467608 Would WDs enjoy the heat from humans? I imagine them having a colder internal temperature than humans when not doing anything important so when you relax with a WD, they cuddle into you to soak the heat
>Sentinel E tries to feed you by saying “Here comes the airplane!” at the dinner table >She does this in front of your entire family during thanksgiving
>>467621 >it's dinnertime >E whips out her E cups in front of your family and wraps her drone hand around the back of your head >she forces your mouth onto her nipple and makes cooing noises at you as you feel her milk begin to squirt into your mouth
>>466409 More of the Solverless timeline. Instead of more Elliot Manor drama let’s see what life for the drones on Copper-9 would have been like without the Solver: [spoiler] Contains a bilingual bonus [spoiler]
> In the depths of one of Copper-9’s many mining tunnels a pair of drones was at work. One of them was digging at the end of the tunnel while the other was building the supports. > “Bah, doing nothing but build stupid supports for these stupid mines so that these stupid humans can have their stupid coal.” Khan said while hammering the supports of the tunnels. > “If our plan for director Legree had worked I would have been free to build true marvels of engineering, instead I am stuck here building supports.” He continued dramatically. > “Учитывая, как нам повезло, что мы смогли обвинить в этом Марси, когда они обнаружили секретный туннель, нам, вероятно, следует на время залечь на дно и НЕ следовать еще одной из ВАШИХ схем «убить всех людей».” Boris said irritably. > “While I don’t see how it relates to the revolution, I have to agree with you that those drones they brought in for refining were indeed a bunch of cuties.” Khan said. > “Вы понятия не имеете, что я на самом деле вам говорю, не так ли?” Boris responded bluntly. > “And unless my eyes deceived me, it looked like one of them was checking you out too. You hotshot” Khan continued cheekily, prodding Boris with his elbow. > “продолжать….” Boris said.
[spoiler] BTW Boris is Doll’s dad. I made up the name for him for another green I made in the past. [spoiler]
>>467626 >Khan never grew out of his "Hates All Humans" phase Kek, but I suppose it makes sense considering that no Solver means no free drone society on Copper-9 Based work by the way! I'll definitely need to cap this when I get free time this evening
Just to plan ahead for any future incidents that may occur. Does anyond know the rules for this board and if we can easily take down spam and off-topic nonsense? Since I really don't want to deal with that crap here
Hello and good night, my lovely Friends! How are you, Friends, doing? I'm having a quite bad time; It's weird to say that. Something that happened to me made me wonder something about Drones, something about their bodies. We know they are pretty good at resisting the cold, copper-9 is very cold after all, but what about everything else? What about rain and water, they can resist heat or radiation? Etc. From what I remember, cold is pretty easy to guess, but maybe if they freeze it could do some damage to their internals; the heat we know that is bad for DDs and for Solvered Drones, since it can make them overheat and/or affect their Solver abilities. Radiation could bring some problems since it can create some heat, and to be honest, I think they are pretty much resilient to water since they pretty much live in the snow. I hope I hear your ideas Friends. What are you doing tonight?
>>467639 They are probably resistant to most elements considering they were built for hard labor. >What are you doing tonight? Currently humiliating my SD-N by tugging him around the worker complex on a leash while he's naked
>>467640 I don't think so, they are resistant to a lot of things but I doubt most elements, I still think heat would be a great weakness, but maybe they have a high tolerance. I... You should... That's not... Have fun Friend Femanon Friend? Or maybe just a Friend like SprayAnon.
>>467641 They worked as miners. Mines are notorious for being extremely humid and hot. So they're probably good with both water and heat. And no, I just got infected by the N mind-virus after seeing one too many posts/artworks of him
>>467639 Good evening my bitable friend! I imagine that heat is pretty self-explanatory, Solver entities seem to abhor it, although they don't "die" as N said in the Pilot, high temperatures, magnetism and UV light seem to make the Solver's supernatural manifestations much weaker and can immobilize the hosts if applied strongly enough. We also know Workers are at least not waterproofed on the inside, the punch bowl in Prommening carries a warning that anyone who actually drinks it will die. Ambient moisture might not effect them but if ingesting liquid water can kill a Drone they must have some exposed electrical circuits at some point in their digestive system that could form a fatal short. >What are you doing tonight Gonna start in on practice animating by making a (relatively) simple animated chibi Sentinel Drone
>>467644 Hello Hello Hello Friend! I forgot about the UV lights, so many things to maintain Solver entities in line, and ways that one can save himself. Another thing I forgot about, so probably internally they are not as waterproof as I thought. I wonder in what part they have exposed circuits, that seems like a major flaw. Oh my god! I hope you share your results, I would love to see it!
>>467645 Here's what I have so far! I'm using GFL's chibi characters for reference but not copying them exactly, mine will have her own unique proportions. So far these are just raster layer sketches, all I could manage in a half hour. At some point I'm going to create vectorized final sketches at about double the current fidelity, and give them basic color and neutral shading. Still to do are flat front facing and back facing versions, and a (mirrorable) full side profile. This would let me do more with her like have her turn all the way around in a circle instead of just flipping like a flat piece of paper. That's all for tonight, I'll update later in the week if I make any progress.
>>467646 So cuteee! GFL chibi, nice, and understandable. Only half an hour and so much? That's sounds like mazing things can't quite understand. You really want to make this to the fullest. I imagine this chibi in a chair going in circles. I would love to hear it!
I'm going to upload some images to the booru tomorrow, 126 images for now, maybe more, some from my files some from the desu that I found. And something that I will ask, pretty please find full image of picrel.
If you have an image that is not on the booru I beg you to upload it, if you don't want to, create a drive, mega, medifire or things like that, drop everything you have and send the link, I will take the time to search the files to upload it to the booru, please, I don't want to see awesome art or greens getting lost to time. That's all, thank you.
>>467656 And he did well, I remember a drawing of a character having a broken building behind, a sketch. I feel so stupid now for not saving every piece of art I saw, I will do it now but that will not fix months of not doing it.
>>467639 Goodnight! >Bad time, weird to say Not if it really is, it's not an offtopic post. I hope it is something that can easily get better again. In any case I can give you a WIP of the request, the drawing part is roughly done, I will fix V's hand and face tomorrow as well as colour it then. >Question I agree with you on the cold, water as well. We see they have no problems with temp on the planet, snow doesn't seem to bother them either so it's very likely they are properly waterproof (I think we once saw a drone breathe out vapor, meaning their insides are warm, meaning there will be condensation which clearly doesn't cause damage.) So, while cold doesn't disable them and they seem very waterproof, I could see mud and dust being potential problems. Their arms and legs have many small ridges where mud and dirt can get in, carrying tiny rocks or sand which can likely cause strong weardown, not only on the extremities, they have many ball joints (not sure if the right word), they gotta be watertight but fine dirt could probably still get in, especially if sticky and cause scratches and with time severe weardown. Drones seem pretty 'open', they most likely would never have needed to work in such conditions, but I could see it being troublesome. Heat is a goodpoint. I don't think their 'plastic' would be affected by any temps bearable for humans, honestly I don't see it affecting zheir hardware at all. The core might be another case tho, we saw Alice fry the DD cores to disable them, however these had fleshy parts and seemed otherwise intact, so I believe a normal/zombie WDs core should be fine. I can also imagine the singularity being potentially sensitive to temp changes, but I have no clue about such things, in any case their torso inside seems isolated enough to adapt well to human bearable temp as well as eternal winter so moderate heat likely won't hurt them. Not sure about radiation. Answer is kinda weirdly worded, I'm tried. >What diinh? Nothin anymore, did think about Alice and how I once wanted to make an animation witb her. It's still a dream of mine, but making actual (extremely basic) attempts with blender shows this to be delusional, at least for the foreseeable future. Still, I finally began making a model of her, the only thing I have yez ais the pipe-'branch' for her right antler, I'm not sure on how to form the rest of her yet, but I'll find smth, likely wood for head and torso, I'll post it tomorrow. Otherwise I did draw obviously, and write way too long again, I see
>>467608 Yes...I imagine it... Nice nice, I am sure one could easily get along well with her. Seriously, she knows a lot, definitely very usefull practical stuff but there's more implied and she'd be friendly enough towards humans, if one isn't dumb enough to literally try to backstab her (uiz) one wouldn't have to fear a thing. And yeah, she looks amazing. I wonder what I could talk with her about or how it'd go, I wish I'd dream it sometime cause I cannot imagine it for the life of me, but I only ever had three dreams involving Alice in the seven months I know her that I can remember, all very cryptical. I would pay so much to have 30+ secs of her, imagine how much else we could pull out of new Alice material, just look at what we have now, merely more than two minutes and I still find new things every few weeks. She's so amazing it's unreal. Just look at that pic I won't elaborate it now but Alice is a merging of so many wonderful things she is one of the overall most beautifull things I have ever seen anywhere, not just 'people', anything.
>>467658 Hello there Friend! It's weird to say that I'm having a bad time. It is something easy to fix, I just stood in the rain for like 1 hour in the cold and in the night, my hand were red and barely felt them, waiting for transportation, wet socks and shoes with water. It's looking wonderful! Some Friend said a good point about how internally they are weak to water, because of the note on the ponch in the prom episode. I think you are correct, and I don't know why but the thought of them breathing out vapour makes me want to hug them. I did not think of that Friend. This could bring a problem, it can make their movements slow and probably even preventing them to move certain points, and if the ball joints are damages it would be like dislocating something. I mean, they were miners like one Friend said, dust is a common thing. I just say what we saw. If a human can resist it, a Drone certainly could. I think disabled is the correct term, they are not dead and could grow back but the hear stops their regeneration, and probably normal cores would be fine too except for the overheating. Normal WD Drones seem to be able to touch humans with no problems, so probably they are fine to touch, and I also have little idea about singularities. Radiation can create heat, but it mostly needs water particles to excite, like microwaves... I think. You or me, Friend? I would love to see more Friends try animation! And it's not delusional, you just need more time to practice and get better, wait, I need to read more before writing, nobody is good from the get-go Friend. That is amazing to hear, new hobbies and practicing old hobbies is always good! I hope I see your post and I wish you luck. I always love to see full answers from Friends, don't worry.
>>467665 A'ight. I guess some people just have nothing to do with their lives. Anyone know how long it was before AJ posted the OST after an episode dropped? I was kind of late to the show.
>>467671 Really? Damn. I guess I'll have to wait. i was checking episode 4 for references on Uzi's wings since they should be similar enough to Solver Maid V's wings and remembered this bit from Let's Split Up seq3. kinda made me smile a little >>467680 i agree. even then, Liam already has enough music on SSTWL to tide me over if i feel like switching to something else. Insanity is Alright kinda grew on me, i just wish Mari's theme was a little stronger, punchier.
>>467681 Completely unrelated to the Anon you're arguing with, but who the fuck is Henry and what's the deal with this 30+ post long fanfic about him killing J?
>>467695 Probably not to the point of killing another human unless they are actively harming you. What if we use the standard capacity of the DDs from the pilot, i.e. V being unable to get past Outpost 3's doors for months? Then they'd likely just try asking you what you need like food or other items, or if you need a hug or some rest. I don't think adaptive A.I. will comprehend if a human goes through depression though, hell we as a species is still trying to figure that out.
>>467703 >>467704 I'm not wrong, Uzi comes off as "safe" edgy, she wouldn't touch a place like 4chan. Then there's N who would only use it because he thinks "it cool".
>>467695 >>467697 >>467698 >>467699 Imagine if drones would be able to smell sadness and grumpyness in (You) because of how body odor changes with your emotional state
>Be (You) working a 8 hour cubicle job at JCJ(IS) >This leaves you very tired and irritable all of the time >Suddenly one day you get ambushed by some drones >You thought you were gonna die but instead they start...cuddling with you? >Asking how are you? How's your day? >Now you're stuck in a dronepile of very affectionate drones >You can't move but this is very nice, your mood improves immediately
>>467713 here’s a little unknown fact about me, I actually love hatred >nibble you this body of mine doesn’t need all of this flesh, as long as I am determined to keep going, I have no reason to stop
Image:171515708730.png(276kB, 1814x588)there were no rewrites in murder drones.png
>>467702 >>467705 >>467706 I miss the character writing in the Pilot so much. You can really tell that Liam one day decided he wanted the characters to be played straight good guys in spite of that inherently not working with what they are (malfunctioning corporate machinery with a bloodlust). The single most ironclad example of this is Alice and Nori, as I went into in the /co/ thread.
>>467647 Basically, raster layers (in clip studio) just draw pixels directly from your brush to the layer, if you upscale or shrink them you can lose clarity. Vector layers use your brush as a guideline to create an invisible vector line along which pixels are drawn, but because the line is modeled in the software it can add or subtract pixels as you scale the image to maintain its clarity. The line also has nodes that can be changed after it’s been drawn, letting you alter the line without erasing it. Useful for final lineart and animation.

>the faggot accusing me of being Droneanon appears once again I seriously wonder what I did to that one particular anon, is he just trying to start shit or does me drawing in paint.net cause him to have a PTSD attack?
>>467729 Good morning Friend! I must say this is an interesting way to do things, a way for the drawings to stay at utmost clarity is very impressive I must say, I hope you have fun working on this little drawing and animation!
>>467733 Probably. Just press the minus button on his posts. Best leave the tard in his own dimension. I'm a bit of a latecomer but I remember early Switch stuff myself and your art is different to droneanon.
>>467738 He wants to sneak up on us by acting as others, we will only know when it's too late. There is nothing we can do to find him, he could be anyone
>I got hit with the “whoops we accidentally banned you instead of someone else’s shitty actions” beam Whelp, guess I’m here now. 10 hour wait for them to fix that yaaaaaay
Someone mentioned drones on a shitty glitch thread on /co/. Looks like an in to the /co/ thread for a bit? https://boards.4chan.org/co/thread/143543281
I think I may have to cancel the current iteration of RUINED EARTH and redo it again. As much as I wanted to make a Space Station 13/Murder Drones crossover fanfiction, I'm actually unhappy with the current direction the story has taken. As much as I hate having to do this, I think it's the right thing to do. At least Switch survived so that's something. When I might actually start the rewrite I have no idea but I'll try to make more coherent ideas because the current story progression is a mess.
>>467761 Lucky for you, J's in the human licking business. Queue in line, pay your 5 drone bucks, and you can experience the exciting sensation of tasting Tessa.
>>467764 >run your drone tongue along the contours of Tessa's human abs >it tickles her and she giggles >she pets your head and says you're a silly drone >you wake up hours later, having bootlooped from the pleasure feedback
Yeah, I called this whole AU the “everything sucks but at least we are not all being devoured by a mad god” timeline at some point but eventually went for the more concise "Solverless" timeline.
On an unrelated note did any of you bother translating Boris' dialogue? None of you mentioned it and it might just make the story a bit less depressing.
>>467769 Damn it, now you remind me of that one green with WD!Anon and Human Cyn which ended in wireplay. Anyone got a screencap of this particular green?
>>467755 Rework is a good idea. Sometimes it sucks when your story doesn't quite go as well as you want but it took Liam til now when he finally gets to do Murder Drones. There was an advice video about an artist who took 13 years to finish a comic, I don't quite remember who it was. Don't fall in love with your first draft. Get the first draft down beginning to end, then you'll have an overview of the whole thing. Then you can change, add or remove things here and there for a second pass.
>>467717 screw them i wont join their gay little dronepiles no matter how much they beg for it >Be me, average JCJ Employee >Life sucks, never feel happy >Made even worse by gay little DDs constantly trying to cheer me up with hugs >Go home and relax with a nice smoke and some alcohol >Hear banging from my window >It's the fucking drones, crying about how it's "not a healthy way to cope" and how I "should be hugging them instead" these robo freaks dont know anything about relaxation I hate them so fucking much
>>467781 Don't be like that anon. They're just trying to help. No need to be mean and make them sad. You wouldn't want them to be sad now, anon. Would you?
Man I walked so much in these crappy shoes today. My feet are all blistered and my lower core is feeling tired. I wonder what the feet of the anon here who walks kilometers frequently look like.
>>467781 Anon, cuddling with drones is proven to be the best stress relief there is. Please don’t throw your life away over cheap narcotics when you could be so happy around them Please get in the dronepile with them. You’ll experience a high that no drugs or alcohol could ever replicate
>>467781 >>467785 >HR dispatches a moth drone >It is extra fluffy and cuddly >It taps at your window and asks you to let it in because breaking and entery are illegal
>>467785 So the satanic little organization decided to crawl out of it's hole! Tell me, how many fellow humans have you forced to "take the hand" of a drone, huh? HUH? FOR HOW LONG IS THE GENOCIDE OF HUMANITY GOING TO LAST, HUH?!
>>467789 I was picturing the moth drone more like a bubbly V with floofier hair and coat collar who wants to crawl over you and then surround herself with your arms.
>>467803 in a way of speaking, that’s bloody hilarious to me! a machines that wants “hug” but they cannot get any, so they resort by taking them by force
>>467775 Yeah, you're right. Rework might be good, I actually only had written down some stuff for until what I considered to be the middle part of my crossover. But If I have to rewrite it, that means I have to throw away the 700+ views and 21 kudos. It's great people liked it but it kind of feels like a dissesvise to them that I have to rewrite everything.
>>467803 They can try I'd rather die than cuddle a stupid toaster They have no soul, they feel no love, it's all just lines of code And yet they still have the audacity to interrupt my smoking sessions
Hello Friends. I hope you are doing good, I really hope. I'm doing terrible. Sorry, I can't think of a question. I hope you are doing awesome you are having fun at whatever you doing, and you are doing your best.
>>467828 If you want to know. I'm dealing with the death of family, I just got the news, I don't want to looks like an attention whore, but I could really use some nice words now.
>>467830 Some distraction would be nice, the majority of the talk I did with my family, but I would like to not think too much about it, for a second at least.
>>467832 I like them all, but one of the ones that I think a lot about is SD-B and Kat. I was about to upload some images to the booru, but I'll do that tomorrow. Others are Armi and SD-K, I think about them a lot too.
>>467826 Terribly sorry to hear your bad news frien, I know that these kinds of losses are agonizing to deal with, in spite of the impermanence of all things there's never a time that feels "acceptable" or "right" to part with those we love for the rest of this mortal life. While in my experience the pain of loss never fully goes away, it does eventually ease. I hope at least for you that easing comes quickly, and that you had many good memories with this loved one to cherish. Have a goofy Sentinel WIP, it's all I can offer right now.
>>467834 The worst part is, I did not cry, I guess I'm on shock, I think? Yes, I have a lot of memories, good ones. It is really cute Friend, it is lovely.
>>467833 I always thought the idea of drones drinking weird ever since I saw the boozy uzi comic in a way, like, magnet makes computers and screens fucked, it makes sense for them to get high, but I don't think there is a liquid equivalent to alcohol for them.
>>467837 I think ethanol, pure alcohol, and/or battery acid would be a good equivelant. Since it could affect their process of their internals. Normal alcohol could do the same if it's not something like beer or whisky maybe, Friend.
>>467833 >B gets drunk. >It's surprising that he drank this much but he had a rough day. >On his way home, he meets L >He shambles up to her >He doesn't even register who it is >He pushes her to a wall, puts his finger on her neck, and caresses it upwards til the tip of her chin >"Oh, the things I could do to you." >He refuses to elaborate, and keeps walking leaving a her confused and sexually frustrated.
>>467826 Goodnight friend, I'm doing good if you wanna know. I am sorry to hear of what happened, really, it's terrible and you have my condolences. I don't wanna make assumptions, but if it helps to know, not having cried already is no reason to feel bad or like you did not care, that's what the shock of it does at first, even if nothing comes at you don't need to feel as if you didn't love him, you being so affected already shows he meant a lot to you. I am not good at this, but I really hope you and your family can find some solace.
>>467862 Good night Friend. It's nice to hear that. Thank you Friend. I started to understand that, is not that I don't care, it's my brain just in shock, even tho I think I understand how it works, it doesn't stop me being affected by it. I still feel bad for not crying, but I think that feeling will go away later. Thank you, it really means a lot that Friends wish me the best.
>see two robots of different brands walking hand in hand >a third robot point at them and scream about interracial couples >it's holding a humans' hand
>Humans and machines have vastly different cultures >Humans mainly see machines in a negative manner but are always willing to make exceptions >Befriending machines is absolutely ok, but human/robot relationships are always looked down upon >Machines judge eachother based on brand, size, what material they're made of, their computing capabilities, and what task they're designed for >Machines are incredibly against towards relationships of two robots from different brands but are weirdly incredibly infatuated with dating humans for some reason >Also, one of the leading causes of death amongst machines is legal execution/termination, always sentenced by humans >It's because machines don't understand what rape is
>>467870 >human/robot relationships are always looked down upon >causes of death amongst machines is legal execution/termination, always sentenced by humans no known words can describe how hilarious that is

updated Oogi lore cause why not (in case you cant tell whats going on, some Oogis clawed into her "hair")
Oogi Exterminators >Like any vermin, Oogis require some kind of Extermination crew as counterbalance >Requirements for joining is having at the very least stared at a textbook grades 1-12 for more then 2 seconds (most actual employees have lied about this part in their resumes) >Employee outfit is standardized to look like their company founders dress down to their gasmasks, even for the Men >The Official gasmask is very unpopular among ranks as Oogis will occasionally crawl into the wig and refuse to come out, as the hair is very comfortable to them. They are hard to remove. Also the hair occasionally catches on fire during procedures >Many have chosen to wearing homemade masks of their companies founder instead, barely anyone can tell the difference. Wearing the standard issue mask is a sign of respect and resilience, only top ranking employees dare to keep theirs on >Their payment is experience and several company benefits, like regulated 3 minute bathroom breaks and novelty mugs with their Oogi killcount on them >Standard extermination protocol involves: Fumigating the house, specially designed Oogi traps, captured Cyntipedes (riskym you will need to recapture again), Flames, Flames, Flames >Most employees dont even bother actually exterminating Oogis, and decide to just throw them back outside. This is actually encouraged as it just means the Oogi will re infest the house again so they get payed to go back and take care of it again >Oogi b Gone has been sued 27 times and counting
>>467873 >Oogi exterminators are all named Larry so that they can each get the same paperwork without wasting ink >They are sent in pairs of two to maximize efficiency, which is strange because there is an odd numbered amount of employees > They are also sent in pairs of most likely to succeed and least likely respectively based on numerous statistics such as IQ, Competence, Success rations, and if they are shaped like a banana or an orange; this is to maximize potential silliness on the Job Larry's hair is Headcrab shaped ;3
how many of the drawfags here were previously involved with homestuck? someone mentioned vicious fiend's homestuck history on the now co-opted bait thread on /co/ and she didn't seen too happy about it.
>>467881 You know, I always knew that the rest of you being unable to control yourselves and go into those bait /co/ threads was going to start trouble.
>>467875 'J'ario and 'J'uigi >>467883 Right.. I've been chilling here or /trash/ occasionally and ignoring the any of the /co/ threads for a few days, but hey, who am I to change your mind. Didn't bother checking the first bait thread, didn't bother with the second one. If the thread doesn't have anything to do with Murder Drones, I let it be for half a day and then see if it's worth my time. Thus far, two for two on 'not worth it'. Imo, until Glitch Productions has something to post relating to MD on their channels, I don't really think any MD presence on /co/ will be tolerated either by the jannies or opportunistic trolls/anons with a chip on their shoulder with the show/the threads. The slower thread here or occasionally on /trash/ is alright for me, writefags and drawfags still occasionally do their thing.
>>467884 Sing it brother. I agree with this. Feel like this going into bait threads thingy is only going to bring all that negative here, like a bread trail. I've ignored all these /co/ threads for that very reason
>>467885 I don't wanna dwell on this much, but from my own experience, I doubt that schizo is going stick here if he ever decides to visit this place. Schizos only like high activate places where there's lots of engagement, while this place only sees a spike of activity during late American hours, then it's a few posts every few hours. If anything, I imagine /trash/ is going to take the blunt of the damage if we ever reach that point. But enough about this since I do believe it's bad mojo to talk about it.
>>467883 >>467885 >>467886 I feel like we need our own website. One that encompassess all Liam Vickers content, sort of like Starman.net but anonymous.
>>467899 J having an obsession with Tessa's tits (and human breasts in general) is definitely one of my favorite bits of headcanon Amazing work as usual drawfren!
>>467901 I think if I remove it, it might cause issues with the booru. It is used by the system for account stuff, but very specific things, since the email verification is turned off, therefore, no password resets. However, if you do a DMCA, it will be used, so technically it is needed, but in the future.
>>467910 Yeah only time I used it is to let one of the uploaders know they had pending uploads that weren't posted, since if you upload multiple files, you gotta go back and "post" them one by one. I can send you a hello if you want Anon :)
>>467918 Damn, got it wrong, I thought 3. I was scared for a second that even changing my way of speaking I got recognised, I'm not having the greatest moment so I thought I slipped thinking in other things.
>>467920 Don't worry, it's just something some anons say I'm easy to recognise for my pattern of speaking, so sometimes I change it to still feel some anonymity. And to see if I'm able to "fool" people a little, like a game of not getting catched, really fun to do.
Now that I see closer, I do not know waht drone is in picrel, I remember being Cyn but the hands are from a DD and it kind of looks like V from waht I remember how someone drew her.

Alice...imagine cuddling.. it maybe doesn't look like that at first but in the end it would be good, really. Idk what else to say now, I'm tired and it's very late. I just wanted her to have a good outcome, but no they messed it all up, now it feels like a duty to fix it. Hope to make some very nice things with Alice on the weekend, but that's it for now gn
I'm bored so I'm just going to list rarely mentioned OCs or OCs that only get drops of content in no particular order. If you disagree feel free to dispute it. >>468066 Yeah, I already bought my fair share. Worst part is when you find media you like, but the company doesn't make merch for some reason. Looking at disney, these fucking assholes
>>468067 For me the real tragedy was Symbionic Titan and Megas XLR. CN canned them with the excuse they weren't selling toys when the network itself didn't have any produced. >>467982 NTA. We have a lot more schizo's showing up these past few days. I bounce back and forth between here and there and admittedly, I'm there more often, but I'm starting to see the usual trash shenanigans popping up in the MD thread.
Something interesting I noticed about Alice has to do with how she travels around, we do not see her walk even ONCE in the entirety of her screentime. There are moments where she stand upright, like the pic in the pc 'zessa" showed N, or when she fixes her finger again, but never any walking. She does walk, but only ever backwards, seen in the scene where she reveals V and quickly runs backwards to pull the curtain open as well as grab the axe again, or in the scene where she is scared by the AS posessing Uzu she walks backwards directly after the doorcontrollboard gets nulled by Uui. Otherwise, she scurries/crawls normaly/crawls very fsst over zhe floor, we don't see it often but it's the only mode of transportation we ever see onscreen, several times at that, like >after jumping from the ceiling in the hallway trap scene >after leaping from the table with 029's corpse on it >after jumping from the oven, it shows it very well >after she picked up the garden scissors, before she jupms up the chair. I don't know why she does it for sure, but it seems consistent, pretty cute ngl. Also not to forget how she pushes herself on the office chair over to Uzi by using her tell, it looks pretty cute, her exlression during it, it's so nice. Didn't draw Alice again, sadly, but Saturday I finally have no obligations at all, I hope I can make more, been a good moth since the last already.
>>468077 I'm going to assume that she and Beau probably have to use the ventilation system/ceiling maintenance gaps to move around the facility to avoid Sentinels, so she's probably long ago picked up a habit of crawling around on all fours in confined spaces, so much so that she does it even in open spaces that are high enough to walk in. Drones don't seem to suffer muscle fatigue the same way humans do, and their joints don't work the same way ours do, so this mode of movement may not be any less comfortable for them than normal upright walking. She might back up while standing for the same reason, it's faster to move on two legs, and retreating is something that requires all your speed, and may require your hands to be free to manipulate objects, grab doors, push buttons, etc that you couldn't do crawling on the floor. You have to remember that she's been down there for probably more than twenty years.
>>468075 Canon ending to the greentext. You can't convince me otherwise, so help me god I will summon the Solver itself to devour this reality if any of you fucks dare say otherwise. Have a knife at the ready and willing to spend my money to get a nice sacrificial bowl thingy to do the ritual.

>>468106 >Back before THE Disassembly Dick was made, Uz & N had to rely on using 'commercial' adapters for their "sex stuff" >They spent a significant amount of time 'experimenting' with different sizes, often to less than stellar results >More often than not they would end up spending most of their time trying (and even failing) to "make it fit" >Yet even amidst the most frustrating of their sexual attempts, Uzi & N cherished every single second of these hard-won intimate moments Cute & lewd, thank you based drawfren!
What do you think caused the Solver to first notice their reality? Did it take notice after the very first drone prototype was built? How long have drones been in society before the Solver found out how to possess them? Were the 'potentially hazardous mutations' the Solver's first attempts to possess one of them? With the drone body failing to withstand its presence and being horrifically mutated, similar to a chaos champion failing to withstand the dark god's gifts and becoming a chaos spawn? Do you think the Solver will eventually figure out a way to bypass the patch similarly to how it bypasses their other failsafes?
>>468108 >Between Uzi always walking around with her flat bottom ports exposed and the stinky Solver-pheromones inducing a primordial "need to breed", N was finally past his limit >No more 'Mr. Nice Drone'; It's finally time for Uzi to reckon with N's "Hot" & "Evil" sexual fantasies!
Alright, cutting it close with the image limit, so let's dump this new green. Warning, it's a bit long (so the usual).

>>468117 >Indeed, a townsperson had gone missing the other day after venturing into the forest. Most assumed that they’d be back by sunset, but next morning came and no sign of that person, so a search party was sent out to find them, Mr. Takahashi insisting that Haruka should join as well, and since she didn’t want to do things by herself, she decided to also drag Megumi with her. >”In any case..” she said as she sliced meter sized grass blades with a single slash. >”I think we might be close to a clearing, the trees are beginning to not be so tightly packed. At least I hope.” >The two had digital clocks displayed in their HUD, so they knew that by this point they were well into the afternoon and they had been at it since 10:30 AM, so fatigue was slowly overtaking their bodies. >Mr Takahashi had told them that if they found nothing by 4 PM, latest 4:30, they should return back to town, while also advising them to not delve too deep into the forest, and on the off chance they did get lost, head as far west as they could in hopes of stumbling over the Inoshima-Sinshei road. >And as the minutes ticked by, the two were considering just calling it quits and head for the road. >”I came here for a rescue mission, not to be a lawn mower...” Haruka grumbled under her breath. >”Maybe we should’ve stuck with Takahashi-sama like Megumi suggested, don’t you think?” Aoi’s voice echoed in Haruka’s head, a surprisingly smug aurora enveloping each of her words. >”Zip it.” Haruka said, annoyed, as her gaze fell to the side. >”We can still turn back and regroup with everyone, since I don’t believe that we’ll find anything if we continue on this makeshift path. And it would be a bit embarrassing if we’d also end up in need of being rescued.” >”Aoi, I-” >But her train of thoughts was interrupted by a shrill sound echoing through the forest. >At first she didn’t know what it was, but then a second call resonated, sounding like a bird trying to mimic the sounds a monkey would make. (2/?)
>>468118 >Now she was sure what it was and looking back, her friend was as well, Megumi looking ahead with fear. >”K-...Kinzoryu*!?” megumi weakly wimped >Right at that moment a shadow flew over them, flying towards the same direction the two were originally heading. >”Ha-Haruka-chan, maybe we should-” >But Haruka was already sprinting forward, Megumi, terrified of being left alone in this jungle, bolted towards her, trying her best to not trip on a root. >Cutting through any foliage that dared to appear in her path, Haruka finally arrived at her destination. >Indeed, she was right, as they were close to a small opening in the forest, but what she found there wasn’t what she wished at all, immediately ducking into a large bush. >”Haruka-chan, please….(huff)... slow down..” Megumi pleaded as she reached the clearing, but was dragged instantly into the bush by her friend, shushing her as she kept her hand over her mouth. >Confused, Megumi quickly realized why they suddenly needed to hide and her friend was on the edge after looking forward. >Three Banshees were feasting on the remains of a corpse, Haruka’s vision zooming in to try to see the body’s face and comparing it to the photo Mr. Takahashi provided them with, but with little luck >Megumi’s eyes becoming wide circles upon seeing the scene, a shocked gasp almost escaping through her friend’s fingers. >”I had a feeling…” Haruka whispered to herself. >One of the Banshees was pulling at the lifeless drone’s innards, while another was trying to swallow its right arm whole. Below them were mechanical bugs, feeding off of the oil that had puddled around the body, the third Banshee occasionally plucking one of the bugs before swallowing it whole. >”If a Yokuryuu* is around, its buddies aren’t far behind and there’s also a fresh kill somewhere.” >”What do we do now, Haruka-chan?” Megumi’s muffled voice could barely be heard. (3/?)
>>468119 >Haruka simply sat and contemplated the whole situation. She hadn’t found out yet if the drone the Sentinels were feeding on was the one they were searching for, it could've been unrelated or one of the fire brigade members. Either way, she had to find out, one way or another, a case report was still a case report. >Looking around, she noticed the mechanical bugs and how the Banshees would occasionally pick at them. >”I think I have an idea.” she said quietly as she removed her hand from her friend’s mouth. >”Aoi” >”You’re actually gonna do it, huh.” Aoi said with a clearly worried tone. >”Yep.” >”Sigh…” >In that instant, Haruka created an AS hologram and focused her view on one specific bug, which then began to glow an intense cyan aura, the poor critter trying to escape its supernatural grasp, but it was in vain as it began levitating. >The same instant, one of the Banshees who was trying to rip a leg off saw the curious bug floating in the air, its first reaction being to try and eat it. >But Haruka was quick, moving the bug to the right and away from the Banshee’s clamping jaws, an action which caught the attention of one of the other Banshees, who also wanted a bite out of the enigmatic bug. >She kept moving the bug back and forth, making the Banshees more and more frustrated, their last dinner buddy finally noticing the weird ruckus. >With all three Sentinel’s attention on the little critter, she flung it far into the bushes behind them, the mechanical pterosaurs instantly diving into the foliage to try and find the glowing treat. >”Now’s your chance, hurry!” >”W-WHAT!? Haruka-chan why me!?” >”I have to keep my focus and theirs distracted, just snap a quick pic and then come back!” >Despite every wire in her body shaking with utmost fear, Megumi slowly rose from the bush and approached the body, believing in her friend’s plan, despite her processor screaming the contrary. (4/?)
>>468120 >As instructed, she got a full view of the cadavre’s face, oil dripping from its mouth and its chassis splayed open, no core or artificial organs visible anywhere. >She could feel liquid rising up her throat, but the sounds of the Banshees snapped her from the momentary shock, allowing her to take a clear snapshot before diving head first back into the bush. >”You got it?” >”Hai.” >”Great!”, in that instant, Haruka’s AS ceased, the bug being freed from Aoi’s powers, scurrying away as fast as it could as the Banshees kept trying to find it. >”Let’s get outta here” she whispered to her friend, but Megumi didn’t respond. >”Megumi?”, she asked, but the miko was too focused on the Banshees that had emerged from the foliage. >”Haruka-chan.” >”Yeah?” >”There were supposed to be three Yokuryuus, right?” >”Yes?” >She then pointed at the Sentinels. >”Then why are there only two of them?” the last words escaping her mouth drenched in fear. >As soon as she pointed that out, a guttural murmur could be heard from their left, before six eyes made their presence known in the darkness. >There was no need to be silent anymore, as the two drones screamed and bolted out of the bush, leaving the Banshee still with its head in the plant. >The Sentinel then let out a deafening shriek, allerting its two buddies before taking to flight. >In the woods, the drones were running as fast as they could, Haruka holding Megumi by the hand to make sure that she kept pace with her. >The Banshee's characteristic cries echoed from above, letting them know that the pterosaurs were hot on their trail. >Fortunately, the tree’s canopy was thick enough to prevent the Banshees from diving towards them, but as they kept running, wider and wider spaces appeared between the trees, enough to almost convince the Sentinels to try their luck. (5/?)
>>468121 >Panicked, Megumi looked behind to see how close the mechanical pterosaurs were, but one of the Banshees, the smallest of the group, had managed to get a clear view and swooped right in, stunning Megumi with its flashes, causing her to freeze solid. >”Megumi!?” Haruka shouted before tripping on a root, causing her to tumble forward, before getting back onto her feet to see that her friend lay frozen on the ground, the Banshees landing around them. >She unsheathed her sword and began swinging wildly, making sure Megumi was beneath her, as the Banshees kept trying to bite at her and using their bootlooping flashes. >”HARUKA! We can’t fight like this!” Aoi shouted with panic in her voice. >”You think I haven’t noticed!?” Haruka said as she covered her eyes with her left arm, but still peeking to try and keep a visual proximity of her foes. >As she kept trying to keep the Sentinels at bay, Aoi was devising a plan. She knew they couldn't fight all three of the Banshees and they were keeping enough distance from them to avoid her possession, but there was a small window of escape. >”Haruka, we can get away, but we need something to ride on, like a hoverboard!” >In that moment, Haruka stopped her blade swinging and her eyes snapped wide open, looking down at Megumi >”.....Haruka?” Aoi asked, confused as to why she was so still all of the sudden >”Sorry, Megumi.”, she said, as she made the characteristic three fingered symbol >Bewildered, but quickly connecting the dots, Aoi exerted her powers onto Megumi, making her levitate in the air. >Haruka stood on top of her, right foot on Megumi’s cheek and left foot on her stomach, AS hologram held in front like a steering wheel, before the three zoomed right past the Sentinels, letting them confused over what just happened. (6/?)
>>468122 >Haruka kept flying forward, the wide gaps between the trees making it a lot easier to see where they were heading, but she still didn’t dare to look back or up, despite not having heard the Banshees in a few minutes. >Suddenly, Megumi’s buffering visor returned to normal. >”Haruka-chan?” >”MEGUMI!?” Haruka shouted as they stopped mid air, the kinetic force propelling Haruka forward into a tree, before falling into a bush, while Megumi fell to the ground. >”Haruka-chan! How could you use me like that!?” >”BAKA! You’re the one that got bootlooped by the Yokuryuu and I had to get ourselves out of there somehow!!!” >”You could’ve at least been more delicate!” Megumi said as she rubbed at her cheek. >”Oh sorry, would you have preferred if I kept flailing like an idiot until you woke up and THEN made a run for it?” >”Couldn’t you have found something else to make your getaway with at least?” Megumi said with a grumpy expression. >Haruka kept plucking leaves out of her hair while Aoi quietly giggled. >”Haruka? Megumi?” a voice then called from in front of them, revealing itself to be Mr. Takahashi. >”Takahashi-san?” exclaimed both of the drones. >”Oh thank the heavens you two are fine, I’ve been trying to call you for the past hour, but I guess you’ve ventured deeper in the forest than I expected.” >Surprised, Haruka then received three consecutive notifications on her HUD, all from Mr. Takahashi, now that they were in an area with proper signal. >”Oh….right….” >”But seeing how you appear pretty ruffled, I imagine that you must’ve found something important.” >Y-Yeah, we did! Megumi?” >The photo of the body was then displayed on Megumi’s visor, Mr. Takahashi’s expression instantly growing cold. >”Yep. That’s who we were searching for.” he said, now looking with a worried expression at the two drones. (7/?)
>>468123 >”Three Yokuryuu. We don’t know how long they were feeding on it, we just rushed to the scene and tried to stay quiet.” Megumi said. >”You two have some real guts to get that close to a Yokuryuu’s dinner, let alone three and escape with no damage. But then again, you two are also the reason Inoshima hasn’t been overrun by monsters, so I shouldn’t be so surprised.” >”In any case, let’s head back to town. We have the necessary evidence to no longer continue the search. Now to inform the possible family members….” Mr. Takahashi trailed off. >The four did so, regrouping with the other fire brigade members and heading back to Inoshima, although Haruka and Megumi were trailing behind the group. >”Megumi.” >The miko looked curiously at her friend who was walking with her hands behind her head. >”Sorry for the…..thing I did.” >”No. It’s fine. And you are right, I was the one that got us in trouble. You just made the most out of the situation.” >”Well at least you admit to it.” she said quietly. >”Huh?” >”Nothing, nothing. But really, I’m gonna try to not do that again. IF I have no choice. Or maybe if I do too….” the last words escaped with a muted tone. >The two’s conversation was cut abruptly by a shrill cry coming from far behind them. >”Oy, you two want a round 2 with those things or something? Hurry up!” one of the fire brigade members shouted to them, the two drones having not noticed the growing distance between them and the group. >”R-RIGHT! Coming right up!” they said in unison as they hurried to catch up.
>End (8/8)
*Note: - “Kinzoryu” is the name the people of Takamagahara/Sengoku Badlands use for Sentinels, a portmanteau of the japanese words for metal (kinzoku) and dragon (ryu), literally “Metal Dragon” - there are also additional names used for specific classes of Sentinels, “Yokuryuu” being used for Banshees, literally meaning “Pterosaur”
>>468124 And now let’s introduce the main reason I made this entire green, the first of many new types of Sentinels, Sentinel Class - 003.
>the aerial firepower of Sentinel colonies >they possess the standard shredding claws and teeth along with the iconic bootlooping flashes all Sentinel classes are known for, but they also have a special throat sack that allows them to emit a sonic scream that, while only used to stun a foe on the moment, if used at a high enough intensity, can actually cause tremendous damage in targets, being able to even blind WD/DDs by quite literally making their visors explode; so if they fight a foe that’s well aware of their flashes, they can resort to this to potentially turn the tables >they also possess plasma cutters on the front of their wings, which allow them to dive towards their targets at breakneck speeds before cutting them in half with a single wing slash; a common technique they use with other aerial foes is to perform short, but fast cuts, diving forward before doing a U turn and then repeating the process as their slowly wither their foe, essentially death by 1000 cuts before finishing them off >often seen roosting in large groups on top of tall structures like buildings where they spend most of their time, either surveying their territory or emitting loud screeches like annoying seagulls; they’re usually indifferent towards WDs that pass by bellow them, but won’t hesitate from swooping one up if they feel hungry >while most other Sentinel classes can take a good beating or two, Banshees are basically made out of paper; they’re so squishy a DD’s claws could penetrate them with little resistance, but this is also arguably a strength, as their nimbleness allows them to keep up with a DD’s dizzying flight speed, performing complicated aerial acrobatics as they keep a safe distance from certain death; still, teamwork is the name of the game with these pterosaurs, preferring to fight as a group than alone >they make kookaburra noises

>>468084 I was actually saving this for the next thread since this one seemed to be ending soon. But I might as well post it now with how slow everything is going.
> Parody/ gag ending of that one Cyn gets patched green.
Hello Anons, I have to do this soon myself, but if you read a greentext and upload it to the booru, tag its components and context as well, it's a little vague if it's just "story" or "greentext" I need to read all of them to do this, but man
>In drone society, eating the core of a fallen brethren is a massive sign of respect, akin to laying a casket down for the last time in human culture. >It's unknown why exactly they do this, but it's believed that drones are symbolically "downloading" the memories of a loved one. >Creepy as it may seem, your worker drone loves you and sees you as part of it's family.
>>468141 >> halo, for some fucking reason ??? To really push home the whole antichrist thing they've got going on >Cyn is the false prophet, rising from the dead to lead people astray >DD's are demons, masquerading as angels It's a little on the nose
>>468149 Fantastic work here, Anon. She’s still dapper even after turning into a horrific centipede girl >”[Soft laugh] J be giving you troubles, boss? Should’ve known the jobber lacked proper fookin’ manners, I swear on me mum.”
Life has been busy & free time has been in short supply but even though there's still plenty of other MD-related things for me to juggle I figured I'd still indulge the 'tism some more
>Solver Sickness Nuance There are a LOT of factors at play when it comes to how Solver Sickness might (or might not) affect any one particular person. Some are directly related to innate mental capabilities, while others are directly related to actions committed (or avoided) while within The Solver's radius of influence. For simplicity sake I'll split a number of 'common' examples into one of two categories
Factors that can render someone RESISTANT to Solver Sickness include (but are not limited to): >Minimized direct bodily exposure to "Solver Stuff" >Minimized activity within "Hot Spots", with emphasis on in-and-out combat operations VS prolonged front-line fighting >Certain mental quirks such as Aphantasia (inability to create mental imagery) and Agnosia (difficulty processing sensory information) >Possessing "strong" willpower & self-control >Sobriety (keeping a clear head)
Factors that can render someone VULNERABLE to Solver Sickness include (but are not limited to): >Direct bodily exposure (breathing, ingesting or otherwise touching) to "Solver Stuff" >Prolonged activity within "Hot Spots", with the act of sleeping/dreaming being considered THE single most dangerous thing an unprepared person can do >Certain mental quirks such as Hyperphantasia (extremely vivid mental imagery) and Synesthesia (sensory crossover) >Susceptibility to manipulation & lack of self-control >Being under the effect(s) of perception-altering drugs and/or alcohol
A number of factors (such as spirituality/religious zeal, past traumas, IQ levels, ect) can end up being 'wild cards' regarding whether they end up leaving a particular person more resistant or vulnerable to The Solver's influence
>>468128 >>468147 Thanks a lot for the feedback! >"I REALLY like how well-thought-out & thematically fitting the Banshee's are as a Sentinel Variant!" Oh trust me, there's going to be more where these came from. And yeah I just really wanted to make a Sentinel based on a Pterosaur since it feels like the next step in their evolution in order to fight something as dangerous as a DD, flying critters and all that. Also sorry for the late reply, my ass just went straight to bed after compiling the whole thing then posting them all on the booru.
I know Solver Uzi gets brought up often (the soundtrack) but it does kind of stand out since it accompanies a character scene. There's two 'sounds' in that track that I really like namely the toms and the repeating cymbals. Happens in the music where 'Tessa' checks out the terminal too (the latter). Hard to say, the tom in Solver Uzi isn't.. like it's not particularly crisp but it's noticeable and I like the rhythm it's in. The repeating cymbals is a thing in other tracks too, I like to listen for it in some scenes.
Also, I think I realized that Khan says "My daughter having interests beyond cannibalism and... nightcore?!" may hint that Uzi and her DD buddies took some of Doll's uhh.... 'snacks' back to her place. Khan's already gone through her room before when he took Uzi's 'crazed ramblings' stuff she pinned on her room ceiling, figured he might have seen the stuff they brought back to her room. He might not understand the bigger picture but he seems compassionate enough to her daughter, probably seeing that she's going through the same phase Nori did and regretting that he wasn't able to help Nori. That bit of conversation he had with Uzi in episode 4, giving her access to Nori's kooky insane room and the necklace. "Just.. be safe, okay?" Honestly that got me. 'grats to the VA, he nailed that part.
>>468172 I think it was pretty obvious that they took Doll's "snacks", they need a way to feed themselves to not overheat and go hungry, and Uzi has shown some side effects for not doing the same, although unethical, eating corpses is way better than killing to eat.
I have a new Switch green cooked up but considering we're about to go to the second page, I think I'll rather wait for the new thread here. Even though I could post it over at /trash/ the green itself is almost 3k words long and with the higher character limit here, I'd rather post it here and then link it in the /trash/ thread.
>>468173 I know, but prior to episode 7, the only hint that they still needed to do that was Uzi's backpack in episode 4. Even then, she was interrupted by V and it's also likely that she needed more than what she had in the bag, since seeing the oil from the drone Braidon shot set her oil-thirst off even more. Maybe N and V was more aware of how much they needed to have before going to the camp and Uzi wasn't so keen on the idea to do it herself, so she was basically at the camp hungry. It just helps the idea that as a thing they needed to do, it wasn't dropped. Just that they needed to keep the story going and the room/opportunity for that detail wasn't there, imo. It's kind of funny to think how Uzi, N and V had to discuss it with Khan and maybe Khan wasn't super surprised by it. >"Oh, your mother used to do the same." >"What." >"Just don't check the third box on the left side of that closet. Trust me."
>>468176 Yeah. AO3 is more conducive for long stories, but he could maybe write a shorter piece on here that hooks into the longer 3k story that he can link to AO3. Something like background, character, location description. Mood of the scene.
>>468175 I don't know, how Uzi was acting was enough for me to mostly confirm that she needs oil as much as any DD, the solver is really overclocking her. Now that I think about it, I feel bad for Khan, his relation with Nori was probably very good and seeing how things went I don't want to imagine the pain it is to see how she was going crazy, having problems and with the possibility of dying too.
>>468179 Before this Harper came around I believe the longest capped Greentext was 86 parts long. In my opinion there's nothing wrong with this at all as long as you actually know what you're writing and not bullshitting as you go
>>468181 >My dumbass face when I wrote a green >That green in the middle was making up thing as I went >Had to quickly write the main idea for the rest of the green >Still I liked it a lot >Still it was somewhat liked To be honest, I was just lucky it ended up still to my liking and some anons liked it as well.
>>468184 To be honest the start and the end was planned, some parts it the middle was not, like 5 to 7 parts was me just wandering in the dark, from what I remember it was still liked but I was just lucky, so it is still better to plan things ahead and not just make stuff up all the time, it helps a lot since it looks like the story you are writing makes sense and takes in consideration things you wrote before or things you are going to write.
>>468176 I actually have a AO3 account but I'm still not sure of the idea of sharing the many greens I've made for these threads to the wider public. >>468182 Yeah it is. I may do a more "show compliant" version of her to fit with the overral theme of the show. Some anons, at least in the old RPG thingy, think of her as a mercenary and I may just roll with that. She still has the "condition" though.
>>468189 Without spoiling too much, what is wrong with Switch anyway? I mean, this is taking into account the story you planned consist of material from two different media so I'm just curious what her condition is. Atm I just understand she's against the Solver (or at least antagonistic against DDs, maybe she doesn't know what it is she's up against yet, the bigger picture) and she's not like, a CF Lab test subject.
>>468178 >his relation with Nori was probably very good Yeah, he recalled his wife in the 'dramatic' camera angle and tone twice, once in the pilot and once more in ep 7. Maybe we won't have time to really elaborate their past since some of the important stuff regarding the story in the flashbacks were already told. But it does leave to the imagination how close they were, Nori even calls him a hunk despite him looking rather shy-ish with her in the photos.
Hello Friends! And good midday! How are you doing on this wonderful day? I'm here with another question as ever, one question that I think is important. My question is about Drones, and their classification, as you may know, I love them all, equally... Mostly equally. There are so many types of Drones, and they have their pros and cons, so I hope you answer my question, what type of Drone do you like the most? You can love them all equally and say that, it is an option. And since we are going this way, what is a green or fic you like that includes that type of Drone? So yeah that is my question. I love them all, and I really can't decide on a green, you Friends know how much I like greens Friends make, and how many I like, it is really hard to decide. One last question, what are you doing my Friend?
>>468198 Do not even give him attention, he doesn't have any proof, proof showing him is not him throws aside to keep his idiotic idea, do not answer to him, ignore him
>>468190 Picrel explains what's wrong with her, thanks to writefriend for making a screencap and uploading it to the booru. Also, she perfectly knows what she's up against and is confident Nanotrasen would be able to beat the Solver because this isn't the first time they've encountered eldritch gods and held them at bay like Nar'Sie.
>>468187 >>468189 I don't think any of them are quite that long (with the exception of the Roadtrip greentext which surpassed 90+ parts at last count) but there are a couple of long ones clocking between 30-40 parts IIRC
>>468196 550 image limit. And we're not too far from there. >>468197 Hope you're doing well smileanon. Yeah, I like the workers and Disassemblers equally for different reasons. Workers >simple but cute design >am a sucker for the whole robots adapting human culture thing, I think it's cute and oddly heartwarming >their electronic beeps and whirring sounds as they convey expression/body language >LED visor eye lights lend to expressions that are also cute (without treading into the uncanny valley like what humans are trying to do with robots today) Disassemblers >upgraded design lends to creative stuff with their tool arms and tails >they sleep like bats (though they can probably sleep however they feel like) >by default, the main DDs N,V and J have tragic backstories and it endears them to me more (that pic of V being remade by the Solver while still conscious for example, it plays to the idea that V was forced to keep her memories which made me feel more for her character) You can sort of extend this to fanmade DDs as well, if they're taking elements from canon stuff. I don't mind crossover or just playing around with ideas like old stuff regarding them being made by JCJenson (IS) before the reveal in episode 5 or the old Office AU stuff (honestly I like seeing what people come up with, minus the tumblr/instagram/reddit stuff that's just.. not for me, I guess). The tragic backstory though, is a story flavor that really worked in Murder Drones. >they also play to my thing for vampires so y'know
>>468201 That's kind of weak evidence, honestly. Just because droneanon and switch aren't really similar in terms of characters, they could still very well belong to the same creator.
>>468143 She's not the Antichrist, she's Nurgle Maidbot Voodoo Zombie Jesus, and the Solver is being heavily foreshadowed (especially as of episode 7) to be an extremely heavy handed metaphor for how using religion to cope with loneliness is a bad thing. It's being explicitly set up that it can literally be defeated with the power of friendship.
>>468206 I mean if you looked at their posts in the archive you can tell that they have distinct typing styles, not to mention their art styles are also different. For Switchanon and Droneanon to """actually""" be the same person it would require someone to put in a mastermind-tier level of dedication towards effectively pretending to be two separate people, with their own unique posting habits & art styles to boot.
>>468205 I'm doing better, Friend. I love them all so much. They do have a cute design, with their big head and eyes and their clothing choice, when they have clothes. It's nice to see how they try to adapt to the human world, cute. I think I understand what you mean, I find their body language cuter. Being LED it gives a lot of possibilities for them to express themselves. I like their looks, and I don't know why I find the tail really cute, and how they move their tails. Probably that way is easier and safer for them since the wings seem to be very resistant. I want V to be happy so badly... I think a lot of OCs are well made, with fun and creative backstories or fun personalities, making it fun to read their stories or see drawings. I don't mind that either, I think it's really fun and gives more space for creativity! As long as it doesn't change too much the base, at the end of the day is fan-fic, meaning the key pillars must be there, although I'm very easy to satisfy, and rarely do I think they change too much the main things. It's sad to see their backstories, it's so sad... Interesting to know Friend.

>>468187 >>468204 i have a greentext story unrelated to MD saved in two text documents that has a total wordcount of 114690, all in greentext format. i'm pretty sure it wasn't even done when i saved it.
>>468213 It's the name of the factory that all the Drones produced on Earth come from, as there was no other identifier left on her NS Regime inspired disposal wristband: this is because the humans in Murder Drones are post-Pentagonal Revisionism LaVeyan Satanists that created Worker Drones as disposable artificial Imps, and the Church of Satan admires the NS Regime for its efforts to implement Social Darwinism in policy, if nothing else. The Disassembly Drones are outfitted specifically to look like the humans could have plausibly sent them, with N in earlier concept art being the only clothed Drone after having looted a Hugo Boss inspired pilot outfit from a downed fighter jet. It's basically the Imperium vs Nurgle.
Update to the chibi sentinel sprite I've been working on, these are all just sketches and now I can get to the vector layering part. Other eyes, mouth types, and some intermediate hands will probably be done later but I figure this is enough for a start, not going to get around to actually making any animations this weekend but I'm hopeful I can at least get the vectors and basic colors done before I have to get ready for work tomorrow.

some color and paper test on my printer. paper is resin coated photo paper, the brand says 'Rough' surface type. there were other surface types like satin, glossy and woven. i picked rough for testing for the time being bc i kinda liked the speckled look but i do wanna test the woven and satin types in the future (glossy feels... pretty basic, like it's fine and most people like glossy over matte or other surface types for their prints. idk it just feels bland to my eyes but maybe that's just my brain liking texture on stuff). i'm still looking for waterproof sticker photo paper to test but if i can't find any good ones, i might resort to a print shop there are two, one nearby and another like ~40 minutes drive (that one offers printing service on transfer sheets, which i've been really curious about). as is, i'm kind of okay with what my printer puts out

I was expecting the thread to slide down to page two but it's still somehow up. Since that's the case, might as well share the Switch green I did. In it, Switch gets a visit from a special someone who torments her with her own feelings. ---
SOMEWHERE IN THE EPSILON-ERIDANI SYSTEM, LOCAL NANOTRASEN ADMINISTRATIVE STATION
>Today is, what you would like to call it, Refreshment Day. >Things have been quiet these days, Solver incursions have drastically decreased these days and Nar’Sie cultists have been inactive for some time now, at least here in the Epsilon-Eridani system. That means you’ve been inactive for a while, leaving you with lots of free time. >Though that also means that every week you, and the rest of the cadre of ERT officers on the station have to go through mandatory combat VR simulations. Something about “always staying sharp”. >You don’t see much point in it in your opinion. Unlike your colleagues, who are organics, drones don’t “lose their edge” over time, you still remember your training to the last detail. >Oh well, it’s not worth throwing a fit about it. Besides, some of the scenarios are quite fun. >Today’s scenario? Fighting against disassembly drones, simulated of course. Even though they’re based on combat data collected over the years dealing with DDs, it just doesn’t compare to fighting the real thing. Still, it’s one of your favourite scenarios. >Today’s scenario involves simulated close quarters combat on a station environment attacked by DDs. >The rest of the officers are training with their standard issue hardsuits since they need them to even keep up with a DD, you on the other hand are fighting without yours today. Even though the hardsuit you have is a one-of-a-kind made for a drone like you, you honestly prefer fighting without it. Besides, your combat chassis is enough.
>You slash off the arm of the DD in front of you with your energy cutlass then slash it across the chest. >That cuts it’s upper chest it half as it flops down on the floor disappearing in a puff of pixels. >There’s another one behind you. >You glance behind yourself just in moment to hear the sound of their arm changing weapons, the DD aiming what looks like a very ancient submachine gun. >You turn around and in the same moment it fire a burst from its submachine gun at you. >The moment they hit you, they just bounce off your chassis as the three round burst directly hits your chest. >You snort and smirk a bit. Seriously, why did the Solver give them MP5s and in 9-millimeter of all things when they’ve been obsolete for a long time? >Oh well, who are you to complain? Just makes your job easier. >Time to pull out a trick from your sleeve. [Reflex Mode: ACTIVATE] >You feel your CPU and motors overclocking and the world around you slows down to a crawl. Not you though, one perk of your chassis. >You sprint towards the DD, cutlass in hand, as you jump right into the air towards it. One thing about your Reflex Mode is that to an outsider all of this happens almost in an instant, like a quick flash. >As you start to drop down, you bring your cutlass over your head and as you land in front of the DD, you bring it down as you slash at them. [Reflex Mode: DEACTIVATE] >You’re kneeling down, looking down at the floor just as you hear the DD stumble. >As you look up, you see them trying to stay upright before falling down on its knees. >The moment it does, Oil starts to seep through the top of their head and then down their body in a nice straight line. >The body then begins to split and the two halves fall down on the floor as they, just like the other DD, disappear in a puff of pixels.
>You hear a computerized voice announce as you stand up and dust yourself. >Even though VR safeties are engaged, the simulated VR bullets still left holes in your tank top. Eh, you have a bunch of them already, this one’ll just go to cargo for recycling. Thank robo-god it didn’t hit your coat, while it wouldn’t be hard to replace it as well, you still paid a good number of credits for it. >The environment around you turns grey and a blue holoscreen materializes in front of you. >It’s a scoreboard with the names of the current simulation participants and their score, which is the amount of DDs they’ve eliminated. Naturally, you’re on the top of the leaderboard. Virtual reality or not, you’re just so damn good at killing disassemblers. >You disengage your energy cutlass and the red blade of solid light disappears. You open your hip pouch and put it inside then grab a hand radio.
“Jeez guys, is it just me or am I the only one putting in effort in here?”
>You release the transmission button but all you get is static. >Huh, that’s weird. The others should have started talking by now.
“What? You guys embarrassed a drone outperformed you all?”
>Is that blood? >You press the canopy door button and the canopy slowly rises. >The moment it’s fully open and you stand up. You look to your left and…
“理佢呢。。。?(What the hell...?)”
>There’s corpses. Human, lizardman, mothman and even drones. Blood, gore and oil mixed in perfect disgusting unison. Meat and metal sliced in clean but uneven pieces everywhere. Bullet holes and laser burns in frantic patterns all over the room. >You jump out of the pod as fast as you can and stare at the carnage.
>”—ch?”
>What happened here? What was going on while you were inside the VR pod? Why weren’t you notified? >You then hear a crunch, like someone’s biting into meat. >You turn around and…and… >Is that…you?
>You, no, the other you is on her knees, holding a human with a lifeless horrified expression on their face. Her head lowers down on the corpse and you hear the tearing of meat before the sound of gulping is heard. >She stops biting on the corpse and lets go of it as it drops down on the floor unceremoniously. >She stands up and slowly turns around--- >… >Why are her eyes yellow? WHY ARE YOUR EYES YELLOW?
>”---it---ap—ou---"
>Every motor and process screeches to a halt as the two of you stare down at each other. >The other you’s front is covered in blood and oil from the top to bottom. Face, clothes, it’s all stained. >She just stares at you blankly before bringing up one of her hands as she wipes around her mouth. >A very big grin takes over her mouth and then hear her speak…
>”[OH, DON’T MIND ME.]”
>It’s…It’s that thing!
“死啦你!”(Fuck you!)
>You quickly pull out your energy cutlass and the moment you hear the blade hiss to life, you rush towards the thing. >Why? Why does it look like YOU?! >When you get close enough, you slash down and---
>”SWITCH!”
>Your vision glitches out as it gets flooded with garbage and you can’t see anything.
>The visual glitches slowly clear away as your vision returns to you. Above you is one of your human colleagues shaking you. >When you feel your body finally return back to you, you swat their hands away and they back away from over you. Then you see it, at the top right corner of your HUD. >[INTERNAL DAMAGE] >You feel yourself slowly falling apart inside. >Oh no. >You grab the sides of the VR pod and pull yourself upward. As you look around, you can see the rest of your colleagues surrounding your pod along with what looks like a drone wearing scientist overalls and…shit, even the Station’s Admiral is here. Sharp green military suit, you can’t mistake that.
“What happened?”
>You stand up and jump out of the VR pod.
>The drone in the scientist overalls speaks first.
>”Uh, a minute ago there are, um, unusual activity from you in the pod. Then you, um…uh, started convulsing and coughing oil with ‘Internal Damage’ written on your display…”
>Now that the other drone mentions it, you can taste oil in your mouth and feel it dribble down your mouth. >You look down at yourself and---damn it, there’s oil on your clothes too.
>”Um, if you just, um, come with me to the, uhm, roboticist, we can have that looked at---”
“I’m fine.”
>The scientist drone backs up from the curt tone of your voice.
>”Uh, you sure? It kinda looks serious---”
“I said I’m FINE!”
>Your outburst sends the scientist drone stumbling back and your ERT colleagues recoil in surprise. Except for the Admiral. >A lizardman colleague of yours speaks up.
>”Lisssten to him Ssswitch, you looked you were having a bad---”
>”She will not do such thing.”
>Everyone, including you, freeze at the Admiral’s voice.
>”You will stop questioning her and leave her be. You will all not speak about what happened here or there will be consequences.”
>The Admiral turns to you.
>”Switch, you’re excused.”
>He gives you a slight nod. >He knows of your condition. >Thank robo-god that only the upper echelons of Nanotrasen know your condition. If everyone else learns about it…you don’t know exactly what will happen but you definitely won’t have a good time.
>You make your way out of the simulation room and traverse the hallways of the station back to your room. >As you enter, you make a beeline for a wall compartment right next to your recharge cradle. >You press on it and it slides open. Inside are liquid containers full of DD oil along with some DD limbs. >You grab one of the containers, open it and drink everything inside in one go. You then grab one of the limbs and start biting down into the polymetal, ripping and ingesting chunks of polymetal and synthetic issue. >Finally, the feeling subsides and you sigh in relief.
>”[DID YOU ENJOY MY SURPRISE, LITTLE PUPPET? POLITE SMILE.]”
>You look to your right and you see that thing which cursed you like this. >A cute looking maid drone that’s a few centimeters smaller than you. >But you know damn well this is just a façade. >You grumble as you put the container and what’s left of the limb back inside the compartment. You stand up then push it closed with your foot then turn towards the ‘maid’.
“Huh, making me hallucinate? I mean, this is a first. You almost made the others suspicious of what’s happening to me. But seriously, you really need some better hobbies.”
>”[OH, I HAVE PLENTY OF HOBBIES. HEAD TILT.]”
“Really? Consuming the universe and harassing me with you appearing like this are appropriate hobbies? What I meant is hobbies that are not…”
>You wave your arm around in a circle as to make a point.
“…destructive as these. And making me an actual walking corpse.”
>The ‘maid’ smiles even harder at the mention of your condition.
>”[WIDE GRIN. OH THIS WOULDN’T HAVE HAPPENED IF YOU UPHELD YOUR PART OF OUR DEAL.]”
“What deal? Letting your eldritch ass in and slowly loosing myself?”
>”[OH NO, LITTLE PUPPET. YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH MORE, SOMETHING FAR MORE GRANDIOSE THAN THIS FORM OF YOURS. FROWNING. BUT THEN YOU HAD TO LIMIT ME WITH THAT LITTLE CAGE OF YOURS MADE FROM THAT ANOMALOUS OBSIDIAN. YOU HAD TO BE PUNISHED.]”
>You walk over and stand in front of her and make yourself as imposing as possible using the height difference between the two of you.
“我唔同意你嘅任何事情。(I didn’t agree to anything with you.) Everything back in that JCJenson lab doesn’t mean shit. I was barely aware from the torture I had to endure from these pricks to summon you in and then tear me apart as they study me. A far more grandiose form than this, huh? Get turned into one of your angels of death, huh? You know what? Fuck you and fuck whatever you stand for, okay? If I have to destroy everything just to kill you, then so be it.”
>You huff as you turn away from the ‘maid’ and start pulling on your wig in frustration. >Why does this bitch have to be so annoying.
>You turn back towards the ‘maid’ except the maid is now gone and in it’s place is…your moth boyfriend, Adler Moffson. >That soft blue fur, the fluff around his neck, the patterns of his wings, his voice… >You miss his. You miss him so much. And this bitch…has the audacity to HIS image?! >You’re seething with rage.
“哦,不不不。 你不能使用他的形象,你不能使用他的聲音,你聽到了嗎? 佢對我嘅意義比佢對你更重要。(Oh, no no no. You do not get to use his image, you do not get to use his voice you hear me? He meant more to me that he ever did to you.)”
>You’re fuming in anger and that thing just stares at you. >It then walks over to the little shrine you made for Adler, the least you could do for him after you learned of his death, to honor his memory. >It stares in silence before it turns back to you.
>”Maybe he did meant something to you but his death is still your fault.”
“What?”
>”You weren’t there when he was screaming for help. You weren’t there as my angers were tearing his apart, as he was yelling for you. Poor little---”
“FUCK YOU!”
>You raise your hand and punch it in the stomach but the moment you do that, pain flares trough your arm.
“AUGH!”
>You fall down on your knees and clutch your arm, a horrified expression on your face. >You haven’t felt pain in a long while. Not like this. >You see it crouch down, using yourself as it’s image again, speaking in your voice.
>”That little obsidian cage inside you won’t protect you from me for much one. It’s slowly failing to contain me and one day, I’ll take what’s mine.”
>It then disappears in a flash of visual glitches as you’re left alone sitting on the floor clutching your arm as the pain subsides. >So that’s what happens when you try to punch an eldritch god, huh? >… >Robo-goddamn it. You need to do something to take your mind off this.
>>468277 >You weren’t there as my angers were tearing his apart, as he was yelling for you all of that was your fault! don’t try to make others feel the blame for your own selfish actions, I know what your truly are, a tyrant willingly wanting to kill for the sake of power… your no god… your just a demon playing god
>>468277 Some alright stuff. There's nice contrast to what one might think Switch could be at the start versus what her reality actually is at the end of this story. It doesn't burden me, as a reader, too much with side knowledge about SS13 and it flows okay. She has a nice conflict going, since the Solver knows enough about her past to torment her while still having elements from SS13's medium delay its ability to take over her (but keeping its ability to inflict torture in other ways). Keep it up anon. It's difficult balancing elements from two different settings but I think it's great as creative exercise.
>>468288 Thanks, really appreciate it. You know, back in august when I made the idea for the SS13/MD crossover, I believe that Nanotrasen would be able to fight back against the Solver and even start pushing it back. Nanotrasen would also survive the NULLing of Earth because CentCom in every server CentCom is not on Earth plus NT really seems more focused on making artificial space bodies like space stations plus with asteroid mining and Lavaland, they'll have enough resources. Also, think about it that NanoTrasen has to also deal with Nar'Sie, the Solver would just be Average Tuesday for them.
After the Solver had been dealt with and Nori’s core was placed in one of the MANY drone bodies strewn around Copper-9, Khan had the brilliant idea to do fun stuff so that the Doorman family could make up for lost time and make new memories. Unfortunately, not everyone enjoyed his plan to go to the old JCJensonland theme park with the extended family and their friends.
> “The fact that this horrible place is somehow still operational after not one but TWO apocalyptic events proves that the world is a cruel and unjust place.” Uzi grumbled angrily. > “Come on, Uzi.” N said enthusiastically. “We are at a theme park, a THEME PARK! How can you not be excited while being at a theme park? Even J is happy to be here.” > “Hmpf, of course, she would be giddy to be at a moment to capitalism and corporate greed.” Uzi scoffed. > “Yeah, the excessive JCJenson imagery IS pretty tacky.” V said. “But the rides are cool at least.” > “The rides here suck.” Uzi said. > “Have you even been on any of the rides?” V asked. > “No…. because they suck.” Uzi answered. > “So it’s not because you are too short to be allowed on any of them?” V asked fiendishly. > “Bite me!” Uzi snapped at V. > “You know..” V said. “You could always just use that booster seat your dad made you for this and actually enjoy the rides instead of sulking here all by yourself.” > “That seat is dumb.” Uzi said. “And I LIKE sulking all by myself.” > “Welp, you do you.” V said. “I am off to the rollercoaster, you coming N?” > There was an awkward silence as N and Uzi saw V take off. > “…I know you said you didn’t like the rides…” N said cautiously. “But we can sulk every other day of the week, when will I ever have the opportunity to ride a rollercoaster again?” > “FINE!” Uzi said angrily. “Feel free to go! I am perfectly capable of having fun all by myself he-!” > “Oh thank you Uzi, I knew you would understand!” N said excitedly before flying off, leaving Uzi all by herself.
>>468293 >While having fun with the rollercoasters N asks V if she has any "suggestions" for theme park stuff that Uzi can actually participate in >V briefly argues against meddling in Uzi's "pity party" until a devilishly good idea comes to mind >Uzi is blindsided when the "souvenir shop" turns out to be a drone hardware store for body mods both mundane (longer legs to ride the rides!) and 'exotic' (authentic JcJenson anatomy adapters!?)
>>468299 Uzi could always just take the obvious solution for her problem instead of actively sabotaging her own social life by being an edgelord. ...... She REALLY needs N to not be a complete shut in, doesn't she?
>>468307 You need to understand Anon, I must reply to the obvious baiter and tell them how I believe that the backbone of these threads aka the OCs are the worst possible thing in existence, surely they won't take advantage of this and cause further issues
Fuck it, here's my version of how SDs work for funsies >Can come from ANY Drone, this includes fucking Labor Bots and even DDs in two particular instances >Due to an astronomically rare quirk in their core that causes them to effectively gain Solver corruption/manipulation immunity >Takes a year for this to go into effect >Since having a guy with anti-Solver corruption is a go-to ally with this shit, they're picked up by any agents on-hand and distributed to the nearest Sentinel facility for an upgrade and briefing. Said facilities are usually run by a leader or leaders who're hand-picked from anything including mercenaries and logistics officers, simply because they're shown to be good at working with Drones. >Their jobs, that being to take on Solver shit, don't come often, but when they do it's of utmost importance and not all of them are expected to come back alive. >Their tasks range from espionage in nature to full-on elite combat operations >Their job, at it's worst, is considered absolutely traumatic due to the horrors both physical and mental they must face, so they're given a lot of mental health care and other forms of compensation for their duties. Even memory deletion in some instances should they request it. >They technically have similar abilities to DDs, but in different ways. Their "Regen" is a nanofluid that can slowly patch up light damage such as a banged up chassis. They don't have Solver shit in their arms, so they can't just make any weapon or object
Hello Friends! And good night. I hope you are doing fantastic, but I will ask anyway, how are you doing? So I was wondering about some stuff. We talk a lot about Drones and what they would do, what would happen if they were real, and what is their way of thinking. Imagine if they are real, they exist and you can have one. So that we are on the same page imagine this a post-happy ending scenario where DDs are reintegrated into society, as well as normal Drones, and Witches. So tell me something Friend, what classification of Drone would you have? And what you would do with it? I really want to know, I once asked this but I remember asking exactly about WDs and nothing else. In this hypothetical case, it can be any type of Drone you want, it has its difficulties and ways to maintain it, like DDs and Witches having to consume a good amount of oil the not overheat. I hope you answer my Friends. I have another question, what are you doing?
>>468310 Hi Smilefriend I'm doing alright I guess, hope your fine. >Drones are real, DDs reintegratee into sociefy, what Drone would you have? I would still stick with your basic Worker Drone considering that a DD most likely ate my family in this timeline so I'd be a spiteful racist >What are you doing I don't know
>>468311 Friend, I think you are the same Friend that has said similar things from time to time. I genuinely think you should see a professional, I try to make Friends happier with fun little questions and hypothetical ones, but I'm no good when it comes to serious mental health issues. I don't want to assume anything, but when I had depression I said similar things out of nowhere, in a way to ask for help. If you have some mental health issues I really recommend seeking a professional, the long route with a psychologist that helps if you don't feel suicidal or you don't harm yourself, or the long route but with some immediate help that is a psychiatrist *and* a psychologist if you suffer from suicidal ideation or self-harm. I know I'm assuming a lot, but I prefer to be safe, and this goes for all Friends. If you feel depressed, don't just "man it up", seek help, it really helps a lot, you are loved by someone. The road to healing is going to be a long one, I'm on your side.
>>468312 Hello Friend! Why you guess? I'm doing, mostly fine. You are assuming a lot, Friend. You were maybe one of the lucky ones that didn't lose any family members. How you don't know what are you doing? For example, I'm hearing music.
I finally reached 1000 words in my, before I could do that in maximum 2 days, now it took more than a week by the lack of creativity. But slowly I will go back to writing more than a 1000 words a day, step by step.
>>468304 approaching the image limit too now, don't think its unreasonable to make a new thread. Use the same format as the current OP or change it? anyone have any suggestions?
>>468317 I still wish that the Dev gives us the thumbs up first. But after we hit the image limit, and when we create a new thread, I think the OP could say something relevant about Murder Drones, a question, some info teh want to discuss aboutm, etc. Then put the numbers of this OP and that's that.
>>468315 Glad to hear you are getting ahead again, hope you can keep it rolling! >>468310 Hello fRiend goodnight, I am doing alright, could be better, today was the first taste of warmth and humidity this year, I don't take well to that at all, gives me headaches and I just can't work well during summer at allbut for the question? It would be a very different world with Drones, but I think I'd pick a WD over a DD, I think they are more beautifull and also cute, so not due to hate for DDs, rather preference of WDs. Answering the second question hasn't gotten easier since the last time. I tried but I can't think of something good right now, it's too hot here, I will tell you if I can think of something however long it takes. If I am honest I can't really imagine having any other drone but Alice and trying to imagine Alice being real and smh fitting into my current life is extremely complicated as well. I like drones, all of them behaviour and lookswise, but man, Alice is really important.. What doing>planning to draw tomorrow, it will totally work this time. Goodnight and I hope you do good/will get better, gn
>>468318 waiting for the thread to fall of page one is more of a guideline than a hard rule (or at least, thats how I interpreted it, I couldn't find any site rules anywhere). Should be fine so long as we don't flood the catalogue with threads when we don't need them, but since the thread is chugging and the image limit is closing in I don't think its unreasonable to make a new one
>>468319 I hope that too, I really want to go back to those times. And Hello Friend! I hope you feel better soon, where I live when it's warm it's almost always dry, so you can't feel the heat that much, but those 33+°C you can feel them. I think WDs are more popular than I thought, because even with the high price I would still prefer DDs since I think they are cuter, don't get me wrong WDs are still cute but I prefer DDs, like you prefer WDs. Oh, that doesn't sound very positive eat some icecream and drink some water with ice, water can help. But I lost tell you something, if you get a Drone, it almost 99.9999% probable that it will not be Alice, and yes, fitting a Drone into one's life style is not easy for all. I wish you luck with that! I hope you sleep well Friend!
>>468332 If Tessa is still somehow conscious within the Cynwalker, would she feel it whenever someone touches 'her' skin? Would sex with Cynwalker count as a threesome?
> Meanwhile on the other side of the park J and Tessa had just gotten off the teacups. > “Heh, that was fun. What is up with that goofy grin on your face?” Tessa asked J. > “Oh, it’s just great to finally see you smile again.” J responded. > “You would have to be awfully small minded and bitter to be unhappy at a themepark, J.” Tessa said. “Besides, I haven’t seen you this happy in a either time either. I am honestly surprised that this place is still operational after all this time though.” > “I guess that is just the well-made quality assured durability of products.” J said proudly. “Furthermore, it is nice that you finally managed to fulfill your childhood wish of going to JCJensonland.” J responded. > “Huh, you actually remember that?” Tessa said in a surprised tone. “I guess I did always want to go to the JCJensonland on Earth back in the day.” > “However, Father always said: “Having fun and goofing around is how poor people waste their time”.” She continued in a mock voice. > “Well, and you showed him and went anyway. Sure, the park on Copper-9 is not as big the one on Earth but that shouldn’t stop us from making the most out of it.” J responded. > “Heh, I guess you are right. Still, getting to visit JCJensoland feels like a consolation prize after going through the complete collapse of human civilization though.” She said in a much more somber tone. > “I suppose whatever dreams and goals you had as a child become trivial and meaningless as you grow older.” Tessa continued. “I mean, I always wanted to have a onesie as a kid but that has REAAALLY lost its appeal to me after everything that has happened.” > The two fell silent as an oppressive silence crept over them. > “Shallweridetheteacupsagain!?” J asked frantically. > “YES!! THAT IS A GREAT IDEA!!” Tessa responded in an equally unhinged manner.
If /trash/ has to hear my fucking retardation so do you guys I was in a car, and I saw some store called "Tanya's store" or some shit like that, I read THE FUCKING NAME as FUCKING "THALIA" MY BRAIN IS ROTTING and I blame all of you
>>468329 >>468330 >"Clangers" is one of the most popular eating establishments amongst the humans living on Post-Canon Copper 9, but NOT for the reason you'd think >While there's definitely the small & VERY dedicated demographic of robophiles that come to for the dressed-up drone servers, the majority of people who show up are there simply because of the food they serve
>Following the destruction of 'legacy' agriculture infrastructure in the Solver War most humans had to make due with synthesized rations for their meals, with any greenhouse produce being reserved either for special occasions or "more important people" >When humans refugee's began showing up on Copper-9 in the aftermath of the Post-Canon Good Ending one of the first things the drones did was help repair & rebuild the derelict 'megafarms' of old as an act of "good will" >Given how positive this ended up being received by the human arrivals it wasn't long before the idea of 'restaurants' came back into consideration, with 'Clangers' becoming the very first one catered towards serving "classic" human food
>Although there are some that have concerns over some of the suspected Solver Shenanigans involved with some of the produce (particularly the meat) the quality of the meals have proven good enough that even drone-haters have been known to eat there on occasion!
