plus4chan has always been the backup board for /co/. It's just that too many people forgot about it.
That also means it is much slower. You check it a once or twice a day, not every 5 minutes.

huh, I just noticed that. The difference isn't really noticeable though, and iirc you can reclock that (the audio pitch will change a little if you do, not sure if the bluray comes with that pre-fixed).
Watching 24fps movies at 25fps with everything running just a tiny bit faster used to be a pretty common thing in PAL land, I'm surprised to see the opposite happening for once.

It's only 4% slower but it's really annoying (at least for me), you can tell most easily in the lower pitch of the opening song. The online rips unfortunately don't fix that, I have no idea how Ankama messed that up. Yeah PAL land gets fucked over massively. Sonic 1 on the megadrive/genesis isn't even re-timed, so the game's just 17% slower unless you mod the console to run at NTSC speed.

None of the Sonic games are re-timed, they all run slower in PAL versions.
Sonic 1 only has it worse because it doesn't have the *music* tempo fixed. The sequels at least fixed that.

haha, by the time I modded my Megadrive for 60Hz, Sonic was probably the last game I cared about playing.
Sonic is still pretty damn fast even in 50Hz mind you. Streets of Rage 2 in 50Hz, now that one was criminal.
However it was also one of the few games that added extra lines in PAL mode, so after modding it to 60Hz I kept wondering why I can't see part of the manhole on the first stage.

It gets weirder, check Sonic Spinball. That game had music optimized for the European release to a degree that it fixes a bunch of issues from the original release, and even extends one song. So it ends up having better music for the options screen, the story intro, and Lava Powerhouse (which is almost half the ingame tunes).

The fact they were specific characters did not dawn on me until much, much later, when they started bringing the cartoon over (which I had to watch it via satellite on german channels...). And even then, Spinball used very early designs on many characters, so they didn't even look like they did on the cartoon. I think I only recognized them by accident. It also didn't help that some of the cartoons used characters from the games directly (Grounder, Coconuts).

So yeah, it absolutely did not matter to us which one was the original, at the time. It only started mattering some years later when some sonic fan communities went full retarded in trying to differentiate between the godly original Japanese vs the USA-made imposter Sonic content. That was back when anime started gaining traction and everything Japanese made was the most awesome thing.

I'd say that uncensored porn, even spoilered, might still be a problem. There's still /pco/ and they have Sonic porn threads and /coq/ which is for gay porn. I know that on /pco/ you can have some pages that would go on /coq/ or /cod/ if the entire comic isn't about it.

If you're an insane masochist of the highest order, there's the IDW Ride and Conductor of Pain intends to finish up Chaos after that and probably whatever other horrors he can scrounge out.
