The Unofficial Ride continues here! You'll find various Sonic fancomics and you can talk about it all here. Updates for comics can be posted here as well and anyone can contribute.
Just don't post anything NSFW. There are Sonic porn threads here: https://boards.plus4chan.org/pco/catalog.html?search=sonic
Let's start with a comic that is totally not a SFW fetish that a person with very deep pockets have commissioned several artists to make comics of. This is Sonic's Mistake!
>>441782 Rouge's costume just doesn't work without those huge tits. And that's it for now! Last page wasn't that long ago so I expect more to come out over time.
>>441781 >>441782 >not pre-genesis Sally's outfit That's it, I'll just have to draw my own femme Tails. >>441790 Why fix what doesn't dissuade traffic?
>>441769 This place seems place seems fitting for the more cursed material without the danger of getting taken down but don't expect to be too popular Like seriously, the last post on this website right now are in this thread
>>441795 >Like seriously, the last post on this website right now are in this thread I imagine our Conductor will link us from the IDW thread whenever there's a new thing. That's how the 2 other threads were lively. Or at least someone else linked it when the Conductor was sent to the shadow realm surprisingly only the one time.
>>441797 Linking in the IDW thread is like leading lions to an orphanage with a trail of fetuses. I'd only do it in fancomic threads. So maybe when a new issue of ASO or Sonic Legacy comes out then I'd make a thread on /co/. And I'll keep plugging this thread in the TGT threads.
>>441795 >Like seriously, the last post on this website right now are in this thread plus4chan has always been the backup board for /co/. It's just that too many people forgot about it. That also means it is much slower. You check it a once or twice a day, not every 5 minutes.
Sally thread got nuked. Good riddance. I guess the mod hating on Sonic threads is back. Then again the lewd Sonic M comic (that I saved) got removed along with Rotor-anon but I saw that coming a mile away and was more surprised those posts stayed around as long as they did. Only downside about the Sally thread being gone is that I wanted to at least talk about the future IDW covers.
Well it's nice that this thread exists at least. Dunno how popular it will be in the future but I guess we'll see. Man I remember using this site ages ago to find links to episodes of Wakfu when that was airing.
>>441807 At least we can still talk here, the storytime recess thread got nuked as well and there wasn't even anything weird (other than that Belle image). >>441810 >Wakfu Love that show. It's a real pain the best rips are from the Blu-rays, which were encoded 24FPS instead of 25FPS so everything's a little slower.
>>441815 >Love that show. It's a real pain the best rips are from the Blu-rays, which were encoded 24FPS instead of 25FPS so everything's a little slower.
huh, I just noticed that. The difference isn't really noticeable though, and iirc you can reclock that (the audio pitch will change a little if you do, not sure if the bluray comes with that pre-fixed). Watching 24fps movies at 25fps with everything running just a tiny bit faster used to be a pretty common thing in PAL land, I'm surprised to see the opposite happening for once.
>>441816 It's only 4% slower but it's really annoying (at least for me), you can tell most easily in the lower pitch of the opening song. The online rips unfortunately don't fix that, I have no idea how Ankama messed that up. Yeah PAL land gets fucked over massively. Sonic 1 on the megadrive/genesis isn't even re-timed, so the game's just 17% slower unless you mod the console to run at NTSC speed.
>>441817 >Sonic 1 on the megadrive/genesis isn't even re-timed, so the game's just 17% slower unless you mod the console to run at NTSC speed. None of the Sonic games are re-timed, they all run slower in PAL versions. Sonic 1 only has it worse because it doesn't have the *music* tempo fixed. The sequels at least fixed that.
>>441819 I know what the hell? There wasn't even anything racey in there unless a mod thinks that Tamers gifs are racey enough to just delete the thread.
>>441818 Yeah, that's why I modded my megadrive to support NTSC and Japanese region games. I've played the games at 60Hz for so long I'm absolutely shit at them at 50Hz. >>441820 Whoops, that was me. But in my defense, it did have a shirtless Bartleby.
>>441821 haha, by the time I modded my Megadrive for 60Hz, Sonic was probably the last game I cared about playing. Sonic is still pretty damn fast even in 50Hz mind you. Streets of Rage 2 in 50Hz, now that one was criminal. However it was also one of the few games that added extra lines in PAL mode, so after modding it to 60Hz I kept wondering why I can't see part of the manhole on the first stage.
>>441823 It gets weirder, check Sonic Spinball. That game had music optimized for the European release to a degree that it fixes a bunch of issues from the original release, and even extends one song. So it ends up having better music for the options screen, the story intro, and Lava Powerhouse (which is almost half the ingame tunes).
>>441827 >I always think of it as a uniquely American/Archie based game Nobody really cared about that part, over here it was just considered a game that extended the sonic 2 casino zone into a lower budget title.
>>441829 yeah, exactly, and here in Europe they were just considered some of the usual bunch of random animals that you save in Sonic games. The fact they were specific characters did not dawn on me until much, much later, when they started bringing the cartoon over (which I had to watch it via satellite on german channels...). And even then, Spinball used very early designs on many characters, so they didn't even look like they did on the cartoon. I think I only recognized them by accident. It also didn't help that some of the cartoons used characters from the games directly (Grounder, Coconuts).
So yeah, it absolutely did not matter to us which one was the original, at the time. It only started mattering some years later when some sonic fan communities went full retarded in trying to differentiate between the godly original Japanese vs the USA-made imposter Sonic content. That was back when anime started gaining traction and everything Japanese made was the most awesome thing.
>>441825 Yeah, it's a frustrating tradeoff. Do you get a better picture or do you get proper timing. I'm glad we don't have to deal with that on the newer consoles, not that I play them much. >>441835 >*Whips out cock* L-lewd! >>441846 >I'm sure there are some stories where that is the case. He's usually paired with Gadget, and it's very cute. >>441847 That's frustrating, I'd have liked to know what fuckery GUN was up to. >>441849 Wait, so I could post the full uncensored Trick with the Hat here? That said, it is kinda fun censoring them into SFW versions.
>>441851 >Wait, so I could post the full uncensored Trick with the Hat here? That said, it is kinda fun censoring them into SFW versions. I'd say that uncensored porn, even spoilered, might still be a problem. There's still /pco/ and they have Sonic porn threads and /coq/ which is for gay porn. I know that on /pco/ you can have some pages that would go on /coq/ or /cod/ if the entire comic isn't about it.
>>441859 Flashback if you want some time fuckery and the most satisfying conclusion to MUH RIA. https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/129174400 Someone did a rewrite for Shadow during the Metal Virus Arc if you hated how he was written in the official comic. https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/128783388/#128785607 Insanity is a good edgy comic about Shadow being haunted by an evil Maria. https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/129092068/#129093020 An Enigma in the Shadows is a Sonic Boom comic with Shadow teaming up with Amy. Not Shadamy but it's still interesting. https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/129377405
>>441863 Not until the artist is confirmed dead and any said confirmations must disprove the possibility they're being held in Guantanamo in an effort to prevent them from perfecting their art.
I want to draw a Sonic fan comic, I've been reading the backlog of the Ride and, honestly, my art is shit but I think it could be fun. Besides, Nuzlocke wasn't exactly Picasso when he first started, right?
>>441866 Go for it! And if you want, you can post any completed pages here. I only say completed so this thread doesn't become a brainstorm thread filled with spitballing ideas and WIPs.
>>441861 >Team Dark: Supernova Odyssey That comic's fantastic, It feels like a genuine spinoff from the franchise. I'd also recommend The Heart of a Monster https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/128669572 It really improves on the plot of Unleashed and the art's fantastic. >>441866 Definitely go for it, the best way to improve your art is to have an ongoing project like a comic. I'd recommend having the first few pages done before posting, that way we'll have more useful comments.
>>441869 What a coincidence, I'm both of those people you're replying to. Thanks for the comic rec, I'll read it next, just about to read through Insanity. If I go through with the comic idea I'll take that advice, too. I'll probably make about 6 or 7 pages before I post them so that I've got the ramping up of quality and also a buffer of work. >>441867 Thanks, Conductor, I'll make a start this weekend and if it's not too shameful I'll post something at least
>>441886 I live with my family, my man. If I did that, Id have to fucking explain myself to all of them.
>lewdposter If you're talking the first lewdposter, dude was flat out gone for around 3 days before coming back. The others picked up the slack in the meantime.
>>441887 I'm talking about their last post during sonic frenzy the post they made before that thread got nuked (banned) they came back just to make that last post.
>>441890 They're all banned. At least all of the commercial ones. Literally the only way around a 4chan ban is a full IP reset, and that won't work if you have a static IP.
>>441892 And have to explain to them why shit changed in the morning or why they can't access anything? Nah. I'll probably just wait out the ban. I'll miss the Ride, but I can always just lurk the threads or talk about shit here. Boring compared to participating in the threads as they start, but it doesn't have me jumping through nonsense hoops to spit in the eyes of the faggot mods.
>>441891 >>441892 If your IP is static, then usually you need to change the MAC address of the router and restart it. If your IP is dynamic, just reconnect to the net (PPPoE).
I can't think of any service that would start bitching because the IP is now different.
>>441894 Schizo Sonic's always a highlight, I don't think we've had a single comic with one that wasn't fun. >>441902 It's also a good idea to reboot your router every so often, it can fix a lot of intermittent issues. There's also phoneposting, but my phone network's rangebanned most of the time so I don't usually bother. >>441903 Ironically, we did cover a bleach-inspired comic with Sonic the Hedgehog: Bleak circumstances https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/128595452/#q128598705
I always felt like Mecha Sonic was underrated when it comes to evil Sonics. Aside from STC Super killing everyone, it's pretty much the ultimate bad end for Sonic in that he's controlled by Eggman and at best merely hesitated when following orders like giving Knothole's location. He's only in two issues and that's it. Imagined if Sonic got roboticized instead of Sally when the world roboticizer was destroyed. Imagine Eggman modifying Sonic. Imagine him trash talking and picking on the insecurities of his friend. Imagine the absolute seething Metal would have seeing Eggman doting on Mecha Sonic.
Also better than that Sonic Man design World's Unite.
>>441918 Well there was the unexpected baby....hahahaha and that artist did do a bad end sonic into metal sonic comic but thats been removed from the internet so rip
>>441918 Sonic getting roboticized is usually considered too grim for it to be a lengthy thing, so I can understand why it isn't used much (or if it is, they give him his free will back pretty quickly). Unexpected Baby did it and that comic...well, we don't like talking about that comic.
>>441931 I was going to write a long detailed response on why you're an absolute fucking moron for comparing a book vs a trope but I'd rather not shit up the thread anymore than you already have.
>>441936 And that just makes it even more sad. Plus the fact that his corpse got raped by Troll Face and fucking NOBODY has avenged him yet.
Speaking of, even though he (and Rob) are easily the only ones doing any work against the trolls, it's fucking hilarious how TGT Silver has such a short range on his powers that he couldn't snag Troll Face. Or at least remove his gun.
>>441918 That would've been perfect as a 3–4 issue arc, anything longer and the fans would riot. Would've loved that to be his modified and upgraded form, Spaz really is great at the anime mech look. >>441952 Scandalous!
>>441970 More or less. Aside from having a second personality talking to him, this is the most basic Sonic personality. Carefree and loving fighting Eggman and nothing else. Maybe even Genesis era Sonic.
>>441973 It'll be interesting to see how this thread fares after I finish TGT. I do have other comics that I will post in this thread, I just need to finish TGT first.
>>441978 Well I keep it open in a side-tab, I check it once a day or so. I hope it prospers, I like most of the people who read The Ride and would like to see them post here. It's been a fun series of threads with the memes and the OC's. I'd rather this place avoids the antagonistic bullshit that normal 4chan attracts in Sonic threads. I'm sick to fucking death of reading the same dumb arguments about Fleetway/IDW/Archie.
>Amy rape tonight as the Unofifcial Ride winds down Oh fuck
>>441978 I'll still check in here (especially now that my ban is expiring tomorrow), but I'm not really expecting this place to blow up with discussion or posts like the Ride threads on normal /co/ do. Too obscure for the majority of people to bother jumping over to post in. Admittedly, that does cause the worst shitposters to fuck off, but it's still unfortunate.
>>441989 The comic's not that far along, maybe we'll get a schizo Tails too? >>441992 >Weeb foxes are lame. Web foxes are hot! It's too bad very little of the porn focuses on the male foxes.
>Pori is an actual goddamned catboy I never noticed this, but I think that was mostly the early art and the fact he was wearing stuff to cover his ears a lot of the time.
>>441994 >>441995 Archie might beat him on pure scale, but TGT Eggman is easily the most purely reprehensible and twisted of them all. Even Jimbotnik wasn't this bad and he explicitly wanted to run torturous experimentation on a child.
Image:165484079841.png(3.71MB, 2000x2616)1 - Character awards.png
>>441999 Thanks again Konductor-kun! I'll repost the awards here for posterity.
No surprise here, it's Stripes the Racoon! I wouldn't mind buying him a coffee! Despite being a delinquent and not technically a twink, Vulture!Silver's won, making Stripes and Silver the official best twink couple! I didn't expect gay cowboy Knuckles to win best himbo, but I'm glad enough of you enjoyed the ~after dark~ storytime. Sorry THoaM!Sonic, maybe next time! Technically this Knuckles is bi, but you should check out the comic with Rouge to confirm! Narrowly beating Omelette, it's everyone's favorite Shadow fangirl Jolt! With such a cute and comfy depiction of SonAmy, it's no surprise ArsworldS!Amy won here. No surprise here either, it's the erotically terrifying Hangin' Out!Tikal! Despite not having spider limbs or a dark compact with the Tails Doll, Brotherhood's Twist!Tails has won here. I will concede he is pretty hot though. Very close here, but it's everyone's favorite spider twink Nax! Tikal again, I love her so!
>>442000 Trips again! Now for the next category, the comic awards:
No surprise here, it seems we all have a deliquent Silver-shaped hole in our hearts. Congratulations to The Vulture, may you someday see a continuation in some form. This one was a surprise. While an excellent comic, I never considered Scourge: Eternal Blackout particularly edgy. Taking home another award, it's Brotherhood's twist! I'm sure you all just voted for this one because older Tails is hot though. Hangin' Out bros, we just can't stop winning! Of course going from a fairly standard romance story to Tikal throwing GUN trucks and Orbot basically ruling the world, how could it not win? And proving there's no groupings you anons won't fuck with, Tails Forces has simultaneously won best shitpost and best comedy! Sonic can't find the bathroom bros, we were robbed!
>>442001 And the third category, the content awards. There's so many I won't make individual commentary here. I will mention that I've made the preliminary results available here if anyone's interested: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSegWYJri9nckDLcL5wRjpciJ6EIX87R0SqP4p77ehLwpZlOHQ/viewanalytics
Image:165484092646.jpg(1.17MB, 1421x2799)4 - Individual character awards.jpg
>>442002 Individual character awards: Being one of the most prolific Sonic fan creators, it's no surprise one of Okida's has taken home the award for best portrayal of Sonic. With a comfy friendly rivalry with Sonic, Eggman from the e-vay Boom comics has won here. Again proving that the Boom continuity is the most comfy! You people have no taste, he doesn't even have spider limbs, a dark compact with the Tails doll, or taken over the world! He is very hot though. I'm glad to see you're all as much a fan of KrazyELF's gay cowboy Knuckles as I am. It's everyone's favorite ping pong champion, Hangin' Out!Amy! Looking great in legwarmers and Sonic's shoes from the OVA, it's Mike from Hangin' Out! It's unanimous, Omega's a great addition to any comic. It's Splinter the Hedgehog! Another win for our favorite delinquent! No surprise here, it's GotF!Blaze and her beautiful Fire! If only the Zone Cops had just done their jobs.
>>442005 Yeah, I should've been more clear on the voting. >>442006 Honestly, even twink-thirstposting was becoming an effort towards the end there, actually storytiming all those comics everyday for so long must have been a Herculean effort. I'm looking forward to the more relaxed pase.
>>442005 >>442007 At least Hangin Out won like, 6 different awards. As it rightfully deserves. Also Trick With The Hat won multiple for some ungodly reason.
>>442006 Yeah, you'll only be doing it every other day of the week as it suits your whimsy. When you're still here, as a Conductor, can you say that you're ever truly free? You're still on the Ride.
>>442011 Only this portion of the Ride is over. If you're an insane masochist of the highest order, there's the IDW Ride and Conductor of Pain intends to finish up Chaos after that and probably whatever other horrors he can scrounge out. And there were a TON of comics that the Conductor passed over throughout the duration of the Unofficial Ride, plus a ton of extra material for various comics we DID do plus comics that only came out recently and couldn't make it, plus ones that are continuously updating like TGT and others, as well as comics Conductor was aware of but didn't have time to add PLUS random officially published shit that nobody has done yet.
We weren't fucking joking when we said the Ride never ends.
>>442012 I know, i know, but now things a bit up in the air without the unofficial conductor on the steering wheel, don't know what his thoughts are but i would be exhausted if i had to do this every night on the dot for 9 months, who knows what happens after this
>>442020 Conductor is probably getting a nice long drink, taking a nap, and jerking it to feet after doing the Ride for so long. Not necessarily in that order either.
>>442009 It really is a great comic, I'm glad it won so many. I was really surprised about Trick with the Hat. I figured most hetros wouldn't be that into it, even if I did cut all the gay parts out. While KrazyELF mostly does Sonadow, gay cowboy Knuckles is definitely my favorite. >>442020 I'm looking forward to the more relaxed pace personally. I'll finally have time to complete that spreadsheet with all the comics The Ride™️ covered.
>>442010 I do really like Sonic fancomics and even became obsessed with finding more. In fact, it made me want to make my own Sonic fancomic but I decided to start an original comic instead. I will shamelessly reveal it. But will keep talking about it to a minimum. This thread is primarily about Sonic fancomics. I'm the writer, not the artist.
https://ptpcomic.com/ Even made a thread here https://boards.plus4chan.org/co/t442013.html
I still want to make my own Sonic fancomic. It still refuses to leave my head. >>442011 I think moving things here for those that want more is fine. More laidback although I'll miss the amount of anons we usually got. I'll still be active around here and continue posting any comics and updates I find.
>I think moving things here for those that want more is fine. More laidback although I'll miss the amount of anons we usually got. Eh, I'll probably either post a link to here in whatever non-IDW Ride thread we have in the future or if one isn't up, I'll just make it so people can post updating or new comics in it. Might even make threads myself for discussing all the fancomics, after checking and making sure there's another thread to distract all the violent spergs. I've already seen a couple anons express similar ideas over there, so I wouldn't even be the first.
There was also at least one anon who wants to redo STC, so we could almost talk there if that ever heard fruit. Would probably be after IDW though.
>>442030 As you may know, I'm a huge Sonallyfag. I came up with an AU that took place after Sonic 3 & Knuckles where Sonic and Tails would get a home in Mobotropolis where everything was paid for by the Acorns. Sonic meets Sally, they spar, start exploring ruins together, become close friends, and that would be the start of their romance. Alicia would be a powerful sorceress and Sally would inherit that. Ultimately, Sonic would get magical power ups from Sally and they would learn to tap into different forms of magic. For Sonic that would augment his natural skills and it would change his fur color. From there it would be adapting Sonic Adventure and beyond while mixing in OC stuff. But I just changed things up and made a new comic. Now I have a whole other Sonic comic in my head.
>>442027 Honestly, every character looks hotter in leather or goth fashion. Some of the more unisex outfits actually work pretty well on the guys too. The Tangle and Shade outfits are a good example here (minus the eyelashes). >>442028 >Conductor makes a comic, cover has a cute twink on it. Glad to see you've been taking notes! The dino girls look cute too, which is generally hard to pull off. I like the purple one better though because she gives off a dom-goth vibe. >>442031 Just be sure to mention Sonic in the post so I can see it! >>442032 >Alicia would be a powerful sorceress Nice! Tamersverse!Aleena will forever be best milf sorceress though. I like the idea of leaning more heavily into magic, considering Robotnik uses technology.
Bad news, I got two full shifts of overtime this weekend which means I won't be able to make my initial comic. Good news, I spent 12 hours a day for the last three days listening to Atreyu, BFMV, A7X, Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin and Nightwish (I'm the anon that suggested "Best Early 2000's aesthetic" to the poll, can you tell?). I have the entire first arc planned and now I simply need put pen to paper.
>>442061 >Is IDW that much smaller of a company ? Marvel is owned by Disney and DC is by Warner, most media companies on the entire planet are the size of peanuts compared to them.
>>442063 Im not comparing it to the giants, but I didnt know that Archie had so much more resources to give compared to IDW. I thought they were both equally small.
>>442061 Archie put out a lot of Sonic content over the years. There was the Knuckles ongoing, a lot of minis and specials in addition to Sonic Universe. Sonic Boom only had 11 issues. IDW has a a few minis and a handful of specials but they haven't yet done a second ongoing for Sonic. There are other franchises that IDW has with multiple ongoings. With them losing Transformers and GI Joe and with Sonic allegedly selling among their best, they might try a second series. But it has to be a big name. Knuckles worked for Archie because he was really popular as a character and I'm assuming his minis did well enough. I doubt Sega would allow Knuckles to have another shot which is a shame. None of the OCs would work out. Chaotix is a maybe. Not Tails. Best candidates would be a Shadow (pseudo Team Dark) series, another side character ongoing like Sonic Universe, or maybe Classic Sonic. A man can dream but a Freedom Fighter ongoing would turn a lot of heads but that's really, really unlikely. But Ian would write that series for free.
>>442064 Archie is (was?) the only comic company who sells their comics at newsstands, while every other company had to rely on Diamond Comics and dedicated comic vendors only. As a result, Archie was consistently among the best selling comics nearly every single week for as long as I remember. However they only had a few books in circulation while Marvel/DC has like up to three dozen each week.
But things may have changed since everyone moved to digital sales. I don't know how they compare to IDW.
Rotor folder of mine, which I have kept care with for a great while. This is on (old, attended nonetheless) request of a certain fellow from months ago who had wondered about myself sharing my collection. Think of this like a souvenir to take after accompanying (suffering, if you must) through the unofficial Ride. So, here's it.
Apologizes for holding this on for so long. I'm not the most prestigious on organizing and relaying to schedules, hence the delay. Sharing's caring, and caring's loving best boy more and more, so don't be afraid to pass it on to other communities.
Gonna link this into the old tyrannical 4chan's Storytiming Sonic threads there, of course.
>>442072 All it takes is one dedicated shitloster to ruin a thread beyond repair, speaking from personal experience. I'll stick around for this first thread, but it's obvious what direction the IDW Ride is heading in after that first "muh Ian is shit" comment. Not worth it to get invested.
>>442070 >>442072 >>442074 I've mostly just been using the thread to discuss fancomics and Unofficial Ride memes. I couldn't give a rat's ass about IDW; the threads are awful and the posters are worse. Only thing it's good for is Zombot porn.
>>442076 It does when said guy is a notorious schizo who will endlessly reply to himself until bump limit if left alone. You fail to understand just how determined the schizo is to ruin all Sonic discussion on the site, and especially when it comes to the comics.
>>442080 He's already posted his usual smug Cosmo image, so it's definitely the usual schizo. And he's even telling (one of) our lewdposter to go kill himself. It's like I never left /sthg/.
>>442056 Glad to hear it, I'm intrigued to see how it turns out! Green Hill Zine was robbed of that award though. >>442066 I'd love a (not) Team Dark series, they could even make it an ongoing joke that everyone keeps mistaking them for a team just because circumstances keep forcing them to work together. >>442070 I had fun at the start, but stopped posting towards the end. >>442071 Very well organized! I'm surprised how many artists I recognized. Anti Dev's done some great Sleengo art. I did laugh when I saw they deleted your post in the IDW thread though, considering they left the pictures of a diaperfur up. >>442073 Mine's not well organized at all, I really need to invest some time learning Hydrus. If you're looking for recommendations, check out KraryELF. Most of it's gay, but there's some hetro stuff too that's really nice too. >>442078 >spoiler I had no idea that's a thing.
>>442087 Thanks for posting more Other M! >>442097 Fair enough, not exactly my thing but I'm in no position to judge. I was looking for lewd Sonic comics for ~after dark~ and found one with a dick plant that makes Sonic crave cock. I was kinda into it by the end. >>442101 In the words of Tesla: You may live to see man-made horrors beyond your comprehension.
>>441769 Sea3on Chapter 8 Page 9 https://www.sonicsatam.com/sea3on/ This is looking to be the start of SatAM Chadtoine. Maybe we'll get genius Tails as well.
Sonic Future may deserve a thread of it's own. I know after I posted the series there were a handful more pages and there's even more. As in 17 pages more since I storytimed it.
>>442107 On the topic of Shadow and furry Maria, I've been looking for new comics to cover and found some great stuff by Zketcherz. Pic related's literally called Shadamy comic and is really good, with Shadow attempting to revive Maria in a cute furry body! Unfortunately, the artist deleted everything about a year ago so it's sadly unfinished. I'll put everything I was able to retrieve in a mega soon, but you can find the comic here: https://www.canterlotcomics.com/comic/en/shadamy-1451 Couldn't exactly link to that place on the other /co/, it's filled with the forbidden horses! Also, I've been having a lot of luck discovering new comics by reverse image searching comics I liked in yandex. It does a fairly good job of finding similar stuff, but watch out for suspicious links! I actually found this comic while trying to find more of Sonic the Hedgehog: Midnight from fireball20xl. >>442108 The author's been super productive, it's really nice to see! >>442109 And only half as arousing!
>>442105 Is it me or are some of the fancomics better quality than the IDW stuff? I see errors, style clashes, rushed covers and poor story flow/"choreography", and I don't want to criticise in depth because I don't want to be cancerous.
>>442108 Sonic Future's great. Like sure it may not have any coloring or any super amounts of detail but what's already there is totally fine IMO. Plus the writing is pretty good and I like the scruffier designs of everyone. Still can't really imagine Sonic being 30 though.
>>442110 Can't wait! >>442111 The cream of the crop, like Brotherhood's Twist and Heroes Come Back, really do put IDW to shame at times. Although those comics have some faults, manly the text and lettering. That said, I would kill to see those comics come out with a new issue every month. I'd even take one new page a week. And some of the comics we've done are drawn by people that do work with IDW. But my main problem with IDW is the writing and editorial.
>>442111 >Is it me or are some of the fancomics better quality than the IDW stuff? Fan comics are a labour of love from one person, maybe two if they have a separate artist. Big company comics are produced for a deadline, so they cycle through writers, artists, etc. so they can fit in that deadline. If the comics are not popular, they shift the team and the storyline altogether. Or they can do a "crossover event", forced on them by editorial, which often forces existing plots to deviate so they can fit the editorial event, turning them into clusterfucks.
IDW is not free from all of those - their Transformers books pinballed between plots and artists so often. Same for their Turtles books, one book has them drawn muscular without irises, the next one they are all round with big fat saucer eyes. I can only assume the same happens for the Sonic comics.
>>442111 Early IDW was pretty rough because it was trying to find it's footing as basically an official fanfiction sequel to the end of Forces. After it gets more into it's own groove I thought it got better, also whenever Evan Stanley is drawing. I love her artstyle and OCs to bits.
>>442113 >Can't wait! That's me uploaded everything I could find. Do check the readme though, there's some important information there. aHR0cHM6Ly9tZWdhLm56L2ZvbGRlci9Scm9EWFQ2TCNYaHdjcHZmd09oSW83dzFqXzlhcUxB >But my main problem with IDW is the writing and editorial. Yeah, whether it's Sega's mandates or something going on inside IDW, it's clear they're not using the artists and writers to their full potential. >>442114 I think it's a combination of being a labor of love, freedom to write and draw whatever they want, and no fixed deadlines. GotF's a great example in that there's no way Sega would let anyone kill off Sonic or have violent and gory things happen. You're definitely right about deadlines, they're really the only thing that matters to publishers. There's also no way Evan could pencil, ink, and color 20+ pages a month in that detailed style. It's also why publishers usually don't let artists pencil and color unless it's a cover. >>442115 I actually like the premise of having a post-Forces setting. Potentially, it allows for fun self-contained low-stakes stories since Eggman's been defeated. It also gives Sonic and friends a reason to tour the planet to see all the new locations and characters, while setting up the plot for Eggman's return. Unfortunately, this ended up feeling bland to me since all the villages looked and felt the same. I wanted something more like Unleashed, where every location has a unique culture, climate, and architecture.
>>442114 >Fan comics are a labour of love from one person >one book has them drawn muscular without irises, the next one they are all round What I meant with my complaint was image related. I'm fine with artist changes and like differing styles (2000AD spoiled me) but I can't tell if the art problems are a skill or time issue but some symptoms for some artists say skill deficiency like blurry default digital brush usage for glow/highlight effects.
The choreography one is harder to explain without examples of doing it correctly. I'm familiar with a 3 panel principle that essentially goes: >introduce scene + character >introduce antagonist/introduce more scene >conflict/action So 2 panels of setup followed by a resolution. I know older Judge Dredd near religiously adhered to that. If I'm to cherry pick an example of a problem, the 4 pages from/to... >131207568 >131207626 ... everything is disconnected. The 1st panel on the last page should be on the previous page with its set up. The last page itself almost works. Sonic carrying her at the end is completely irrelevant to what's going on.
There was a really great cover the IDW Conductor said was by "Gray/Herms" I think? Ctrl+F that on the archive. It looks absolutely professional and something I'd buy for my children if I had any.
>>442118 Damn, when you point it out like that, it's really quite sloppy. >everything is disconnected I think I get what you mean about the disconnection, I had trouble orienting the characters from panel to panel, which is the main purpose of background art. I'm no expert so my critique is mostly limited to not enjoying much of the fight scenes, simplistic backgrounds, some panels having no backgrounds (I absolutely hate characters in colored voids), and a lot of the background characters having weird expressions. I did think Sonic carrying Amy at the end was cute, but it should've been a proper panel instead of just being pasted on top. >Gray/Herms They did two of the covers in that thread. They were both great, even if I don't personally like Gray's style. No worries, it's rare to hear a thought out critique of IDW.
>>442120 Well I'm fresh out, so I guess I'm sorry again. Have a freshly scribbled Sally in compensation. >>442121 >I'm no expert Neither am I... I'm just perceptive. It's not all as bad as I'm making out of course and I don't want to be like the negative nancies on /co/. I've read far too many Beanos to condemn publishers for not training their artists. I can't get a bead on what layout principles they're using to tell stories, I think because it looks like the publisher isn't enforcing any so they all do their own thing. >I did think Sonic carrying Amy at the end was cute Yeah and it was great they put that in. Gotta give her some wins. >even if I don't personally like Gray's style. And you don't need to.
Oh and yeah I agree with you on characters in voids. It's jarring when the voids exist deliberately to say "Look inside the box, I didn't draw anything out here".
>>442131 I can see why didnt feel like storytiming that comic. Besides from being huge, it had plenty of issues where barely anything happened. But it still was nice to see where some of Ian's inspirations in Archie came from.
>>442126 Very nice! Yeah, the art's perfectly serviceable, but it's nice to discuss the actual shortcomings without the lol, IDW sux shitposts. For all the alleged mandates they're subject to, I get the feeling that IDW doesn't have any layout guidelines. >>442128 I get that it saves time, but it's just so lazy and really takes me out of the story. >>442130 Thanks, I'll have to read it soon. >>442136 Does anyone but you believe your lies? >Does anyone but you believe your lies? No worries, take your time >>442139 Dawww, I'm glad she's happy with the results! That (along with all the positive reactions from other anons) makes the time I spent compiling the results worth it!
>>441769 We have blood, cursing, murder, and one horny chipmunk! This comic is from 2001-02 and sports a cutesy anime art style to go with its mature content. And what is this comic called? Kyuuketsuki! Try saying that three times fast.
>>442145 Never thought we'd see a reverse of Sonic Forces but here you go. Oh, and there is a cooldown but a max of 10 seconds which is still infinitely better.
>>442144 Here we go! >>442146 Check out those abs, that vampire's ripped! >>442147 Kinda hot though! >>442149 None of this comic would work if they didn't have necks! It does look good though.
>>442169 Just to be sure, write Sonic's name backwards on something and show it in the mirror. If it spells Dracula then you might be dealing with a vampire.
>>442153 There she is, the queen of vacations! >>442156 There he is, NIN Tails, in rabbit form! >>442157 Pretty hot, ngl >>442163 I'm so used to seeing her in milf form, but she was a robot for quite a bit of the comic's run. >>442165 They did in Archie, at least until the democracy duo came back. >>442169 He definitely would! >>442171 GIWTWM
>>442179 Sally's down for the bondage but not under these circumstances. She's probably still turned on though. >>442178 >They did in Archie, at least until the democracy duo came back. Ah, I kind of glossed over the dark era of Archie.
>>442173 >>442176 2 hawt 4 4chan! >>442177 You just know they're constantly talking shit about him behind his back. >>442180 I enjoyed it, but it definitely had its flaws.
>>442183 Another comic that confirms Sonic's much more attractive when he's evil. >>442186 TFW Sonic will never tie you up and drag you through a sewer. >>442188 Cute fangs! >>442190 Based! >>442192 That is so hard to read. >>442194 Knuckles has excellent taste in tv shows!
>>442118 for reference for the art you're highlighting: >upper left cover Pencils/Inks by Evan Stanley, colors by Matt Herms >bottom left cover Pencils/Inks/Colors by Tyson Hesse >Right hand side Pencils by Tracy Yardley, Inks by either Jim Amash or Bob Smith, and Colors by Matt Herms (Herms presumably being the one doing the motion blur)
shoulda done this in the same post as my previous one >>442126 >I can't get a bead on what layout principles they're using to tell stories >>442141 >I get the feeling that IDW doesn't have any layout guidelines. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by layout principles, but it's worth noting that Ian Flynn is one of those writers who doesn't do his own layouts and lets the artists do them (pretty common in the wider comics industry but back in the really early days of Archie the writers like Gallagher and Penders would do the layouts for the artists)
Would you say that Flynn-era Archie had more consistent layout principles/guidelines? I know that Flynn-era Archie art did look more consistent in that all the pencilers were paired up with the same inker and colorist with each book (rather than IDW, where most artists do their own inks and there's a pool of colorists, though with a few being way more prominent than the others)
>>442222 This really would be hot if it was the one from SonicFutureAU. >>442225 lol he said cock! >>442227 Sonic really needs to find the bathroom in this comic.
>>442236 Vampires in Sonic seems like a great story. Here's a pin-up that makes for a great cover by NextGrandcross. Great artist with an obvious influence from Yardley.
>>442238 I think the oldest I've done is like 2001 for some other comic. Not 100% sure. >>442239 It would be interesting to see how she'd react to other bats. Maybe mad they give her and other bats a bad name.
>>442235 He only murdered commoners. >>442236 Happy ending! >>442237 That looks fantastic! I love ridiculous Dracula castles! >>442238 Reposting a post I made during The Ride: Here's one from 95: http://www.commuterbarnacle.com/gonterman/sally1.html This one's from David Gonterman, the proto-CWC from the 90s. When Penders was going to kill off Sally in endgame, Gonterman made this Sally Protest comic. The editor told Penders to bring her back, so Gonterman thought his comic had defeated Penders. Gonterman also did Blood and Metal, a story where he gets transported into Mobius as a furry with a robot arm, saves the day, and King Max sets him up with Sally.
Here's a post he made advertising one of his comics (zoomers, this was posted on Usenet, it's like a web forum, which is like Discord): >alt.fan.sonic-hedgehog | Aug 7, 1997, 7:00:00 AM >Are you so sick and tired of what Archie has done to the Sonic Comic that you are deciding to dump Sonic Fandom as a while and roam around aimlessly looking for the next fix? >Don't make the mistake some people made over Endgame, and some will make over the Breakup. >Change your comic, and I don't mean go to England to get Fleetway. >Switch fo Sonic: The Mobius Chronicles, written by David Gonterman, the man who strikes fear into Ken Pender's heart. And when you read the kick-tail story with kick-tail art. You'll see why.

>>442242 I like Sally and I'm glad she didn't really die but I wouldn't go that far. Bless the autists for pushing for things that I agree with. Damn them for pushing for things that I don't agree with. I still see stuff like that when IDW started and it was obvious that Sally and the FF wouldn't be allowed to be used again.
>>442242 >Here's one from 95: http://www.commuterbarnacle.com/gonterman/sally1.html Yeah, that first page tells me everything i need to know >WHY SHOULD I EVEN THINK ABOUT THIS SLOBBISH RUDE SNEAKER-SMELLING RUNNING...PINCUOSHIN?!?!?! Already getting these "Sally is actually in love with the author of this comic" vibes
FYI, this site has an RSS feed for each thread. If you use something like the browser extension Feedbro, it'll let you know when there's updates. >>442244 >Unofficial Sonic Storytime I may prefer Sonic with Shadow or Knuckles, but Archie!Sonic and Sally was fantastic (and probably the best official romantic relationship he'll ever get). That image's genuinely touching, at least she had a good run. I still maintain that all the freedom fighters are in IDW, just perpetually off-screen. >>442245 Yeah, Daveykins is definitely in love with her. Blood and Metal was all about this, and was actually massively popular in the fan community back then. People actually made their own fanworks set in the Gonterverse.
>>442250 >I still maintain that all the freedom fighters are in IDW, just perpetually off-screen. Ian's just biding his time. He already pushed for a Sally figurine to be made and the #Rally4Sally campaign. It'd be really easy to set them up as a group being active elsewhere. Getting them back is next to impossible but her and Sonic being a couple is definitely at 0%.
>>442253 Yeah, that's probably why he's been holding on to lost hedgehog tails for so long. Introducing them as an established team for the acorn kingdom/region/whatever would be great. Sonic can never have any romantic feelings with anyone, but they can definitely imply a lot with ambiguous dialogue and body language. I'm sure he'd leave enough hints for fanartists to fill in the blanks. I guess we'll have to see what characters show up in Sonic Prime.
>>442274 It would probably be better to make a new thread for it otherwise the majority of this thread would be 1 comic lol Personally I'm still waiting for schizo kino over here and still sad that the other 'stressed schizo sonic' comic is dead kinda?.
>>442224 >I'm not entirely sure what you mean by layout principles Maybe I'm using the wrong words. I basically want the stories to introduce an element before doing something with it so you're digesting one thing at a time, or following cues. Stanley did this very well throughout in Silent Support. Yardley seems to very rarely do this, I guess having a preference to draw entirely unique scenes from different perspectives maybe because it lends to more variety or something? But I don't wike it so death to Yardley!!1!
I've never touched an Archie book because honestly the way a lot of anons on the ride talked about it, let alone how it evolved, I wanted to just knock through other things on my to read list instead. Though of course Sonic fans being Sonic fans I might be mistaken, as looking over to the storytime right now... several anons are bitching at max volume about the in-jokes/references/song quotes as if someone said the cake is a lie.
>>442275 >>442277 Okay, I can do that. >>442278 Every 1-3 days there will be at least a couple pages or more posted. So on average, 1-2 pages a day. Page 199 came out yesterday. I stopped at 181.
>>442274 >Just Sonic Future Really? only one comic has updates? I know comics take a while to create but damn.. Maybe you can storytime those commissioned comics?
>>442281 There's still other comics that get updates but they're nowhere near as often. I'd say 1-3 comics can update any day while there might be a few days with none of them that update. Sonic Future just updates multiple pages almost every day.
>>442285 It's both. But it's 99% the schizo replying to itself.
Like I said, it only takes a single shitposter to irreversibly destroy a thread. I fucking warned you all that the IDW threads would never work out and you didn't fucking listen.
>>442287 It's fine. The comic got done and the thread was okay for a while. I didn't have any high hopes for it but I was expecting it to be crazier than even that.
>>442288 It's only going to get worse as time goes on you realize? For the first thread, it took the schizo until the literal end of the thread to pop up. The second, it was faster. For the third, the INSTANT the IDW Conductor was finished the thread went to shit.
Eventually, all that's going to happen is that the thread just becomes shit from the first post in and never recovers.
>>442071 Oh, it looks like I can just update the folder endlessly, without ever to mesh up the link? That's pretty great!
I updated the folder a bit more. I might or not consider syncing constantly this folder. The problem is I also store up few very personal tidbits there. Anyhow, make sure to read the readme.txt before partaking through my personal folder, folks.
>>442073 Indeed noice, and I presume lots and loooooooooooots of poor little hogs with their little butts stretched on, for sure. Speaking off, I wouldn't mind at all if there were some porn of Rotor pumping fast into Sonic's cocky ass ass... just for curiosity's sake.
>>442096 Thirst The Poster, I'm sorry, but I'm still mad with you. You chose Konductor over me, harumph. Why, I ought to cut our laces and, worse than all of it, unlist you and your Real Sonic fan role status, humbugah. I'm kidding, hehe! Hi, bud-buddy! I couldn't be anymore glad to see you here. Sorry that we haven't talked much among us for a while. Let's just say I'm doing a little busy myself. Hope you're well!Thank you, it is organized, out of my fiery obsession for best walrus, and yes, Anti Dev is fine enough when you're seeking for some Sleengo. Speaking off, I wish he would make a new Rotor in recent sometime, too. So you love fluffy walruses, stoic big guys, and Rough and Tumble as well? I saw a lot of you posting with enthusiasm on 4chan's Unofficial Conductor threads. You're quite of a elegant patrician, I must say. Gonna sleep now, so I hope to see your reply! Catch you later, bro!
>>442287 He rotates IPs and replies to himself now, but if people (including myself) would just stop responding, it would be mostly fine. >>442290 They're so cute together! >Oh, it looks like I can just update the folder endlessly Yeah mega's fantastic for that sort of thing, you can even move the linked folder and it will still keep the original link. >Indeed noice Sonic Boy General on /trash/ is pretty good for that. Definitely more twink-centric though, lots of art by KrazyELF, FackerFace, and iiimirai. >>442290 >Thirst The Poster Haha! Glad to see you're back around! No worries, we all get caught up with things. I'm doing pretty well, the awards took way more time than expected, but they turned out great! Yeah, all characters can be improved by increasing the fluffiness. I love Rough and Tumble's rhyming and dorky poses, they're just so much fun! Thanks, my posts are usually pretty dry stuff about obscure Sonic lore so the thirst-posting adds a bit of fun I think. See you around! >>442291 I've already sent a few to Konductor-kun, including a really nice Shadamy one. We've not seen The List™️ in a little while though.
>>442316 https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/128820949 Sonic Freedom is a comic where Sonic is saving some animals when Eggman fucks with reality and Sonic and the animals get caught in them. He gets replaced by Anti-Sonic who later becomes Scourge. That was the first issue and the comic went on hiatus for a bit before coming back and the updates have been posted in various threads. It's probably better to check the artist's DA page for those pages. >https://www.deviantart.com/t-vict101 But the second issue is Scourge fighting with Eggman before striking a deal with him. These pages are showing what happened to Sonic when he got hit with the wave. >>442317 >But why do these artists have to slap watermarks everywhere? Deviantart has a built in watermark generator for anyone that submits art. I've seen all sorts of artists use it to get some form of credit for when people repost their art.
>>442321 haha, I haven't seen that, I only remember the epic tracing by Marvel superstars Greg Land and Salvador Larroca. Also there was one time by another artist, who traced a Lego Snowspeeder to draw a SHIELD helicarrier. Complete with lego pegs neatly on top.
>>442317 >Big fat werehog knot when? I wish, but it's knot the focus of that comic (https://docs.google.com/document/d/16Yr8jwsWF_IR23leRNrE8PjvU3FKZgZSrvb45kqgLMY): Will there be any Sonadow? >it's true that im constantly pushing sonic and shadow closer together to think about themselves, the other, and their relationship with eachother. (theres a lot i could talk about here but i'd rather let u read it for urself in the comic) BUT this is not a romance comic and you shouldn't expect anything romantic from it. >yes, sonic and shadow are going through a lot and we are seeing them change and develop, and yes i drop gay hints here and there that im glad to be picked up and if you want to read it as romantic then go ahead! Honestly it's great when ppl see the queer experiences in this. is it a sonadow comic? >No. are sonic and shadow queer? >yes, yes they are. does the comic happen to have sonic and shadow and a tight and corelated character development of them in it? >Yes. is the intention of that development an emerging of romantic feelings or any other fantasy of them "getting together"? >No. There's no romance, and no dating. is the comic challenging the idea of what it means to have a close bond with people? yes, not everything is about romance or dating. they're aromantic btw. (shadow even is triple a)
>>442323 I really like the look, especially the floof and neon guyliner. The fluffiness must increase until Dark Gaia is defeated! >>442331 I did storytime a sexy vampire story for the final ~after dark~: https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/131193200/#q131199052
>>442334 >https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/131193200/#q131199052 Eh, from what I understand, they just won't be going on fancy dates or being lovey-dovey. They're just going to get extremely close and raise Chip together, but the focus will be on the adventure. The author doesn't want to write a shipping comic, even if the lewds would be 11/10.
>>442334 It's mostly just cope from the author since the comic is pretty blatantly just the usual shipping comic. Like, they don't even try to hide it.
>>442309 Not a comic update, but Super Emeralds did post some concept art of Perfect Chaos. Looks pretty cool! >here are all my concepts leading up to my final design of him. this form has been the most challenging because i wanted to give him a body, which he lacks in the original design. i wanted to play into his obvious original inspiration of kukulkan/quetzalcotatl
>>442338 Probably should've posted this first. >behold chaos, the god of destruction >i tried to use a different way to render the water in each of his forms and gave them a slight redesign >with chaos 1 i wanted to highlight the disproportion of his body and foreshadow his corruption. chaos 2 >he got a taste of power and i wanted to highlight the heavy arms of his original design without alteration chaos 3 >this form is purely speculative, as there was no actual chaos 3 in the game! i went for an in-between stage of his chaos 2 and 4 forms. Starting from here, the long tentacles on his back are a recurring theme. chaos 4 >this is the midway point of chaos descending into madness and rage. i like to think of this form as the calm before the storm. he looks the most stable and serene in this form, and it might be him trying to get himself on the right path... but... chaos 5 >he keeps getting fed new power with the illest of intents... i wanted to highlight how unstable and in *pain* he is, actually. hungering for more power to fill the hole in his heart that is consumed by rage. chaos 6 >the deformed god is almost complete. very unstable and prone to be disbalanced he is constantly growing new limbs to support himself as older ones fail. PERFECT CHAOS >the god of destruction shows his final form. corrupted by rage the sea serpent doesn't look quite right. there are hints of an elegant devine being, though right now, all that matters is taking out his pain on the world and the society that had wronged him.
>>442340 It's a shame, but I'm guessing we'll see some overt affection towards the end. From the QA doc, I can see why the author would prefer the comic to be known as that cool Sonic comic with fantastic art and an interesting take on Unleashed rather than that owo fluffy Sonadow comic. I'm more upset about the lack of lewd, these designs are so hot.
I think I'll do another comic tomorrow at 9pm EST. Nothing big but something different. I'll also get that Sonic Future thread done. >>442338 Very nice. I never was a fan of Perfect Chaos just being a head and two tentacles. That's definitely much better.
>>442342 Cool, we mustn't rest until every thread on every imageboard is part of The Ride™️! Yeah, I get that they were limited by the Dreamcast's hardware, but Sonic-X and Generations could've showed the whole thing. I do like the Quetzalcóatl-inspired design, imagine that fucker leaping out of the ocean at Super Sonic!
Remember that comic we did with Sonic in prison since he was a kid and Silver was trying to rescue him and Shadow was there and working for Eggman and they were all barefoot? The artist deactivated their DA account.
>>442344 >I wonder what he looks like underneath that. Too late, I already made lewd comments on that in the other thread! >>442345 Nooo! I liked that one! What was the account again? I'll see what I can retrieve.
>>442348 >Nooo! I liked that one! What was the account again? I'll see what I can retrieve. https://www.deviantart.com/smudgedpasta/art/LMOR-Issue-1-page-12-825077339 You can still access the pages. IIRC the only stuff I didn't save and post were the OC stuff and information about the lore of the not-TMoM gods.

>>442393 And some various things going on. Blob feet will always be weird. And that's it for that but I have one more short beach themed comic to post.
>>442399 Damn! Just when things were getting interesting! As far as I can tell, this is the end of that. And that's my meager posting for the day. I still have to do that Sonic Future thread.

>>442387 I got this scenario in my head going with Sonia and Manic going to the Acorn Kingdom to look for Sonic, to tell him he's their brother. The first thing Sonic ask: >Sonic: I'm a prince?! Wait, do.I have Diplomatic Immunity?! >Sonia: Well-- >Sonic: WOOO! Hey, Hamlin! I don't have to listen to your stupid ass council anymore!!
>>442409 You can still find individual images from accounts that have been deactivated. They're usually on the recommended images off to the side when looking at other art. I'm sure there's places that have them posted as well.
>>442410 Merging Archie and Underground would be great but there's one problem... Sonic has two great moms. You can keep Jules as the dad but which mom do you pick? Aleena or Bernadette? Or do you change one to being Sonic's aunt? I remember one AU where the two were Sonic's lesbian moms.
>>442411 Downloading using gallery-dl now. I'll add it to the mega. If you mention that the artist's deleted/deactivated, I'll see what I can do to retrieve their stuff. >>442413 Sonic can have Bernadette, I'll keep Aleena company!
>>442417 I actually like that idea! >>442418 >Downloading using gallery-dl now. I'll add it to the mega. If you mention that the artist's deleted/deactivated, I'll see what I can do to retrieve their stuff. Nice! I would definitely be interested in his other comics that we haven't covered.
>>442408 >Just show us if it's a cute twink under the armor, I need to know! I agree give us the twink! also this comic is quite the nothingburger, it's like its playing it as safe as possible except for the evil sonic thing.

>>442419 Ha, we all know you just want to see his sexy Metal Sonic! It's still downloading, but it looks like there's a few more comics. >>442420 I'm enjoying it, but the stuff that doesn't involve Schizo Sonic or the possible twink does drag on a bit.
>>441769 Sonichu A+ Chapter 5 Page 24-28 https://www.deviantart.com/toonishplus Last we saw our hybrid hero, he was rushing into a fire to see if he could stop it and save the home of his new friend.
https://www.deviantart.com/silversonic64 I found someone doing some fucked up nightmare Sonic "comic" stuff. A lot of pages seem like they're only parts of panels. Have fun.
>>442419 >Dreamcastzx Did some digging, and he's actually still around, having went through a few namechanges. The bad news is he appears to have done some fucked up shit. I'll still upload what I find but it's going to take longer because I'll have to be EXTREMELY careful with what I upload. >>442431 While it is a nice comic, I hate how cute they made Sonichu of all things. >>442432 Oh boy, hyper-realistic blood time! That reminds me, I've made some progress on my quest to map out the Sonic gore community on Twitter (https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/130608286/#q130615308). With luck, we should have a whole collection of weird and wonderful comics, and I won't even have to censor the gore here!
>>442433 >I'll still upload what I find but it's going to take longer because I'll have to be EXTREMELY careful with what I upload. Jesus, what the fuck did he do ? Loli Ryona shit ?
>>442437 My thirst for twinks continues unabated. >>442438 Bad IRL stuff, and knowing won't improve your day. Thankfully he's not a pedo, as far as I know. There's (mercifully censored) video going around of him fucking his dog, and multiple chat screenshots of him admitting to it. I'm not willing to dig any deeper to confirm all that though.
>>441769 Sonic the Continuation Issue 18 Page 7 https://www.deviantart.com/okida Looking like the goblins are 100% in the wrong in this version... so far.
>>441769 Eclipse Page 75 https://www.deviantart.com/tierafoxglove Nani?! Ashura was Mephiles all along?! Also, I should really do the original version of this comic. See what differences there are aside from the characters having more Sonic-ish proportions.
>>442453 >Silver appears and Tails makes a disturbing discovery. It's Glitcher so I'm guessing Tails' has found out Eggman's selling his gamergirl bathwater, freshly bottled by Mecha Sally! >>442454 Meh-Phillis, you've bamboozled us again!
>>442457 >still no fucks given Also is it me or is this persons artstyle kinda inconsistent? Like dont get me wrong when I say the art is actually really nice especially the shading on sonic but, compare how they did the water here to when the OC is sleeping it's completely different.
>>442462 If he can build up enough speed (which is trivial since he can go from 0 to 100 in a standstill position), he can run on top of water for a short while, but it's similar to a skipping stone, not actually running. Eventually he will lose his momentum enough that he can't maintain it, and will fall down into water. Plus he can't jump and any large enough wave would screw him over. If we are talking about an ocean, waves can get large enough that you can't really dodge them, especially not while you have so little control over your movement. He could maybe spindash through one, but it would slow his momentum even more, plus the downward motion would make him crash into the water even more after that.
So nah, if he tried doing anything there, there's a 50/50 chance he'd end up drowning.
>>441769 Star the Hedgehog Issue 4 Cover https://www.deviantart.com/blue727 One of these days I'm going to mail this person a scanner. One of these days.
>>442468 https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/129359130 Star the Hedgehog is a future Sonic series. Sonic and the gang have grown up and had kids. It's not clear who's the child of who for half of them. But the twist is that the new generation of heroes aside from the new kids are also the Freedom Fighters. So you have Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, and Rotor as kids. The Egg Bosses are also there. Very cute TB. Infinite is there and edgy as ever. The art's amazing but the pages are taken by what I'm going to assume is a camera for an old phone. Also, the girls are drawn semi-lewd.
>>442463 This. It's possible, but if things don't go perfectly, he'd drown. It would be easier if he had boost, since he can jump and land on water while boosting. He'd need lots of rings though. >>442466 Fascinating, plus4chan doesn't strip the exif rotation data, but also doesn't use it for generating the thumbnail. 4chan would have the expanded image mis-rotated too. >One of these days I'm going to mail this person a scanner. I would too, I never ended up reading these comics because of this. The images could be orthorectified, since we know the dimensions of the irl paper, but I've got no time for that.
>>442458 >Also is it me or is this persons artstyle kinda inconsistent? Looking at their DA... yes. >>442462 >just dodge How do you dodge a very wide thing without doing a 180 and giving up?
>>442471 Sonic could theoretically run along it like a surfer, but realistically he'd have to jump over it. Interestingly, running on water would be easy for Sonic. Scaling up a Basilisk lizard to human size, humans would need to slap water at speeds >30 m/s, which is only 15 times more than a human’s available muscle power. Sonic wouldn't even need to be this fast as he's smaller than a human. The speed of sound is 343 m/s so this would be easy for Sonic. You can check the paper out on the Basilisk lizard here: https://sci-hub.hkvisa.net/10.1038/380340a0
>>442472 >Sonic could theoretically run along it like a surfer This would make for an interesting level segment in a game, not that I've ever seen a good video game manage a cylinder of sparkling water. You don't need to worry about proving Sonic can do it because in real life his legs don't make sense and would explode if they did.
>>442470 >I would too, I never ended up reading these comics because of this. The images could be orthorectified, since we know the dimensions of the irl paper, but I've got no time for that. I recommend giving a try. It's fun and full of action. It's a similar thing with Stressed Out.
>>442445 >greenskins I see Morain has only gotten more scathing in her goblin insults. Also, we kind of knew this was going to happen, we just didn't get to see it in the original run because Morain and her entire plotline got completely dropped.
>>442473 The Adabat stages in Unleashed would be a good place to start, since there was a lot of running over water already, it would just need some large waves for Sonic to run around. Yeah, I just thought it'd be cool to see if it was possible. >>442474 Phones only take pictures in landscape mode and save the image that way. Instead of rotating and recalculating the entire image file so it's upright when you take a portrait shot, they just flag in the exif data that the image viewer should rotate it. 4chan strips all the exif data, since it can store the photo's location and camera type, making it ridiculously easy to dox someone. 4chanx keeps the rotation part of the exif data (which is the correct thing to do), but for some reason, doesn't pass it on to the thumbnail generator. >>442475 I'll give it a shot, I've just been putting it off until I get the time to orthorectify the images. >>442476 He really should just learn to swim at this point. Real hedgehogs can (and it's very cute!).
>>441769 Shock and Awe Issue 2 Page 80 https://www.deviantart.com/underworldcircle That's a very... interesting metaphor you got there, Sally. Hamlin is probably feeling very uncomfortable.
>>442484 >Sally: I'll be dead on traitor's ass like "Spencer for fuckin' Hire". I'll hunt him down and feed him his testicles, *and* I'll do it in a jiffy. And I don't care if his momma there, his grandmomma, innocent bystanders, little kids, baby sitters, badniks, battle birds, bill collectors, whatever. I'll leave his whole block filled with hot brass if I have to, and you know why? 'Cause *I JUST DON'T GIVE A FUCK!*
>The IDW Ride got through the Metal Virus saga effortlessly Man, sure is nice to not have to wait months and months because of a pandemic, it's pretty much the reason why the arc felt as long as it did. Think I actually have a slight new appreciation for the arc now.
>>442489 Yeah, I'd checked out by that point when they were being originally released. Binging the arc makes it much better, even if the conclusion felt a little rushed. I wanted more Super fighting! It's also a lot of fun seeing others' reactions in the storytime. The thread ended up at 765 posts, which is pretty impressive.
>>442493 He respects women, provided they've been booted off his island. >>442494 Aww, thanks! I'll let you in on a little secret, most of those sweaty Sonic pictures weren't sweat at all. Actually, since I've run out of non-lewd Rough and Tumble art, I've taken to shopping the dicks out of lewd ones, got to give the anons some variety in their daily dose of Rough and Tumble!
>>441769 Sonic '06 Page 37 https://www.deviantart.com/2357111317192329 Remember this comic? The one where Eggman looks like Jim Carrey and does a better job of linking together the three storylines? https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/128800767 Here's the comic if you need a refresher.
>>442496 It's back! The one comic that somewhat fills the Vulture-shaped hole in my heart! And a butt shot of the new twink too, they certainly know their audience! >>442497 This one's shaping up to be pretty interesting. >>442499 06 is back too? Wow, the fanartists have been extra kind to us today!
>>442500 https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/129281334 https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/129300160 The comic that fleshes out Blaze's world the most and goes over Solaris would be Solar. Teaching of Fear is the main comic that redoes Sonic Forces. I recommend reading both but the second thread has Solar if you want just that. >>442502 It's always good to see comics seemingly come from the grave and '06 was easily one of the best we've covered.
>>442506 >I keep forgetting black Knuckles isn't just one fancomic's style Knuckles is the south American rasta black dude in some Sonic games (Sonic Adventure 1-2, not sure about the later ones).
>>442507 It's more like they are trying to take the UK Sonic comics style (Fleetway?). That one had Supersonic as this... separate character who was also batshit insane. Of course this comic just turns that up to eleven.
>>442509 Are the middle two on the top line a reference to something? One looks like one of the creepy hidden art in Sonic CD, and the one with a single red dot is like that sonic popsicle with the eyes at the wrong places.
>>442503 Yeah, loved that comic. The author clearly likes the game, and has put a lot of though into filing down the plot's rough edges. >>442507 Oh boy, edgekino has arrived! >>442517 >X dimension >Doesn't show Chris getting dismembered You had one job! >>442520 Not canon, Bartleby would've saved the day. >>442521 Those chompers will never not be funny. >>442526 So that's why we haven't had an update to GotF in a while. >>442530 >comic is less than a day old Hot off the presses, thanks for posting! >>442539 Everyone jobs to Bri'ish Sonic, they just cant handle the bants.
>>442530 >https://twitter.com/imlazyashecklol >19 years old >this good at art >$50 for an 8 panel page Good god. If I had the money I would fund so many of these artists and put out more comic pages a month than IDW does for Sonic, which isn't saying much.
>>441769 >>442457 Sonic Frenzy Issue 2 Page 19 https://www.deviantart.com/killerboss2 The only thing more mysterious than this not-Metal Sonic is the world everyone seems to be stuck on.
>>442541 I'd love to have an entire harem of artists pumping out cool Sonic comics, my only mandate would be that they include cute twinks! I really should write down my idea for my Child of the Green Hill style story that ties all the lore together, with the big reveal being that Sonic was the original ultimate lifeform. >>442542 Someone get a can opener already, I must know if there's a twink in there! Seriously though, I'm really intrigued to see what this guy's deal is.
>>442542 Not gonna lie I really love worldbuilding (something that's really lacking in sonic now F) and I hope we get some because this is looking to be an interesting setup and mysteries are just cool in general. Oh and why does the comic look so....lackluster? pic is from his/her tumblr. what the fuck does marred mean
>>442545 Because the artist is clearly trying to imitate the IDW style and is probably looking at several artists instead of just focusing on one. I'm sure they will improve over time.
We all like our fan comics here but today I crave something different, give me your favorite fanfics. The good, the bad or the ugly, it doesn't matter.
>>442545 I think they're still trying to find their style. They certainly have interesting choices in color palettes, even if it has make this new world a bit subdued and moody looking. >>442552 Oh boy, I can't wait to see the Gaiahog push boxes around to defeat this boss! Seriously though, really looking forward to the next issue. >>442554 Finally, the thrilling conclusion! My how the turns have tabled. Probably my favorite fetish-adjacent comic we've covered. >>442556 Fine, but you should've known what you were asking for https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4256772/1/He-Is-My-Master. It's unironically a great story, lots of cool worldbuilding, and very little smut or fetish content.
>>442556 Little Hands, Big Attitude on AO3. A redemption fanfic set in the Movie continuity where Mephiles gets reincarnated as a baby. It's honestly pretty good.
>>442561 >>442562 It's not just 4chan. Spacebattles, Discord, etc. Any site hosted on a Cloudflare webserver just shat themselves and died. If youre lucky, you can still browse, but they're hours behind on the last posts. Most just give you an internal service error.

Did Starline make it into any fancomics or has no-one really caught up with IDW stuff? I'm starting to like him... when he doesn't monologue for an entire page.
>>442566 We've had at least one comic set in IDW with Tangle, but no Starline. The gay duck's a fun character, and I like that he's beginning to learn from his mistakes. The vlogs are a bit much though, they've messed up his plans twice already. It's interesting how many flaws he shares with Eggman, but unlike him, the writers will be allowed to explore Starline overcoming them.
Image:165580647327.jpg(214kB, 781x1200)what if eggman stayed as mr tinker 1 by SkullxCake.jpg
>>442566 There's one artist that really likes Starline and has a lot of comics and art based off of him. So good you'd think they were actual pages from the comic. https://twitter.com/DrStarline https://www.deviantart.com/drstarline
>>442570 https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/128577938/#128580267 We covered a handful of their comics here. Lots of shipping. He has a kid with one of the OCs, a rival, and a lover. You can tell the artist could do an ongoing with him as the lead.
>>442571 Shit, I'd forgotten about that one! Loved how jealous he got of the female OC making the moves on Eggman. Those pages could genuinely have been official IDW.
>>442574 lmao, I didn't even notice. Guess I assumed girl from the eyelashes, despite Starline having way better mascara game. I guess we'll know if they're a boy where it counts if Starline starts lusting after them! >>442577 That's quite the thigh gap Starline! >>442580 Fantastic work, I would've assumed that was an actual cover. >>442585 >This is his love interest or wife or something. They have a kid together. Maybe he's so gay he loops back around to being straight? >>442586 >Rough and Tumble as Please no >Non-Tamersverse Aleena >Sara not best girl >Mina but no best boy Ash >No Remington, Rob, or Razor Reeeee! Some pretty good choices though. >>442587 As is tradition!
>>442574 >Actually... >"They're" Completely clothed so unless it's specified somewhere I'll run by the official rules which even Starline abides by (ignoring the lack of gloves) after you realise those aren't fashionable trousers since unlike Rouge his fur does cover the rest of his body.
>>442588 >lmao, I didn't even notice. Guess I assumed girl from the eyelashes, despite Starline having way better mascara game. I guess we'll know if they're a boy where it counts if Starline starts lusting after them! Seems the shipping between the two was brief. I still only see Starline as Eggsexual. >>442594 As long as something else goes in there to replace it. >>442596 He hates competition but I can see him appreciating being pushed to do better. In this case, impressing Eggman. >>442597 The artist's DA account and twitter is DrStarline. >>442598 Safe assumption. Artist also has quite the collection of twink and femboy OCs. Also females with noticeable busts.
>>442601 >Also females with noticeable busts. So long as it's not males with noticeable busts I won't start asking if the artist needs to graduate from DA to FA.
>>442600 >Starline/Finitevus Team Up >After 3 days it ends with Starline, set up by Fini, getting thrown off Angel Island by Knuckles. Brotherhood Style. >At the same time Finitevus barely escapes getting drowned by Kit, zapped by Surge and his base blown to bits.
>>442605 They die fast because of how fast they hit bump limit but shitposting has been minimal. Overall the IDW Ride has been much more enjoyable than expected. But the spammy shitposter is back. And Boco too but he never sticks around that long.
>>442607 The first few threads were pretty bad, since the /sthg/ Archie-schizo was in full swing there. He got banned for a while and has mostly stuck to spamming other threads for now (he's trying to target that one Movie thread that's up, but he's mostly focused on screeching over Origins on /co/ and /v/), but it's only a matter of time before he loops back to the Ride threads.
>>442608 I just saw two different kind of schizos duke it out in an Origins thread on /v/. The usual Archie-schizo and a guy that has a weird hateboner for Tails thanks to /pol/ conspiracy theories, I'm just waiting for the thread to get nuked.
>>442616 I think the link got fucked but here's a screencap
>>442617 Not the first time I think but it's the first time I see him sperg out, the fact that he also started to attack the archie guy just makes it more hilarious.
>>442616 I'm indifferent to racism, but that massive run on sentence is just offensive. Use some periods! You'd think a /pol/sperg would want to demonstrate mastery of the English language and not sound ESL/Ebonics. >>442617 >It's the end result of getting violently mindbroken by Tails. L-lewd!
>>442618 Your image just reminded me that I've seen him skulking about in Movie Sonic threads on /v/ too. He literally thinks Knuckles and Tails having relevance, outright being brothers to Sonic even, is some kind of /pol/-tier conspiracy to "degrade the West". It's complete insanity.
There's also at least one other Tails schizo on /co/ (if not the same guy) who is autistically upset over the movies and Origins not focusing on Tails' village; it's to the point he's convinced himself that all of the Sonic characters have Mobian parents who are just conveniently offscreen for whatever reason and that Tails wasn't actually abused by his village but is instead living with his two parents. Oh, and he also gets mad about calling Sonic and Tails brothers too.
>>442621 Yeah I saw the whole ordeal too, it's like one has to carefully choose the words used in a post otherwise some guys is going to jump and start a heated debate about what's canon. And most of the time it doesn't work.
>>442630 What immediately comes to mind is Tails the Douche. https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/130064586/#130065577 There's also this old Sonic vs Mario comic. https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/129705103/#129706505 Kind of straying further there's Tails is Depressed. https://boards.plus4chan.org/co/t440714.html#p441084
>>441769 Sonic Retold Issue 5 Page 15 https://www.deviantart.com/glitcher I don't think I've ever seen Eggman be on top and then it all go to shit so fast.
btw, I updated the SonicFutureAU folder with the latest images (44 new pages now!): aHR0cHM6Ly9tZWdhLm56L2ZvbGRlci9uU2hIeVQ2RCNjV1dITUJGc3QxdHVFamF3MW01dENR >>442635 The whole city's on fire! >>442636 Shit. Sonic Paradox is behind that and they've been around forever. Still, I do have all of their comics archived.
>>442638 Thanks! I really should get around to making that thread. I'll do it today. I swear! Also, one of the pages was partially unfinished but I found it on the artist's twitter. You can replace yours with this, although it's a different size from your other pages.
>>442638 Oh, I should've mentioned that's all of issue 2 done now. I had a look through their twitter and they've added a third artist so issue 3 should be coming out even more ridiculously quickly (some of it's already out on Twitter). Also, the third artist's making his own spinoff series: https://twitter.com/StarBoyBlue2/status/1531271726864146432/photo/1
>>442640 So we're getting complete pages with color now and a spin off? Nice! So many comics are stalled and this one is building up speed at a break neck pace.
Has IDW issue 50 been pushed back another week? With Issue 51 now releasing in around five weeks? Feels like the IDW Ride is gonna end before we even get to the most recent stuff.
>>442642 Yeah, in a few years Sonic Future AU will probably be a multimedia franchise with more ongoing comics than all of IDW. There's already fan animations being posted on their twitter. >>442644 I actually kinda hope it has, I was looking forward to Conductor of Pain's storytime.
>>442648 Too many to count. Team Dark Supernova, Heroes Come Back, TMoM, Sonic Future Adventure, Spring is Here, Sonic Mars, Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis, SonicFF, Stressed Out, Teaching of Fear, The Vulture, etc. >>442649 Hamlin would definitely bitch them out if this makes it into the report. >>442650 >Archie Eggman really does have a habit of being on top, then making basic blunders in his arrogance that utterly fuck him over. He wasn't even trying to hide that his plan is to erase everyone and recreate his own universe. The Legion abandon him and let the Freedom Fighters waltz in, he fucks with Sally so much she stops working, and now everything has a bad case of the explosives. >Sonic Future moves so damn fast it boggles the mind. Even in their sketchy state, that's a lot of content to churn out every other day. And it looks like it'll be fully complete pages, depending on if the new artist works out. They could potentially put out more pages in a month than a normal issue of IDW Sonic.
I won't treat this as an update just yet because these pages are unfinished and said to be finished later but the Bleak Circumstances reboot comic seems to be back on track. Remember this is the one with Ulquiorra as a Sonic OC villain. https://www.deviantart.com/ht-doodles
>>442811 Maybe at least a mini, considering how Archie did things. The whole classic and modern separation will always be weird and most IP holders would want the opposite in keeping everything in one continuity.
>>442823 Nice! Artist is Veronica Vera (https://www.deviantart.com/taeshilh, https://www.bittersweetcandybowl.com, https://www.notenoughrings.com). We covered Not Enough Rings here: https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/129679579/#129681213
>>442856 This was a great one, loved the care and affection (in a non-lewd way) between Sonic and Tails. They've been through so much together it's nice to see them expressing their feelings, even if they're going through horrible stuff. It's such a shame they're not allowed to have this much emotion in the official comics.
>>442556 I guess I’ll post this here too. I read this entire series called Eternal Tails that I really enjoyed. The basic premise is that the author takes all the main games (Tails’ spin-offs also included) and tries to make a coherent setting that’s more of a unique interpretation of the game canon. It’s about Tails and how there’s way more than meets the eye to the two tailed fox and his brilliant but incredibly damaged mind.
The main series are original adventures that range from sci-fi horror, to fighting eldritch monstrosities and a lot of suffering. There’s also side stories that are more of an inside look into the head of the game characters.
The first story is self-contained and not really long, it’s just 12k words and I think that’s at least worth a try. And a fun fact, this whole thing might have been written by an incredibly bored 67 year old man, they guy really put a lot of thought into the whole thing. https://archiveofourown.org/works/25126816/chapters/60878572
>>442879 >It’s about Tails and how there’s way more than meets the eye to the two tailed fox and his brilliant but incredibly damaged mind. That's the most edgy garbage fanfic concept I've ever heard.
At 9pm EST I will storytime the first version of Eclipse. We can see how the comic is like where the Sonic characters actually look like Sonic characters. And in color. It's mostly the same as the second version that we already covered but it ended right at the latest page.
>>442879 Thanks for reposting it, I still need to get around to reading it. >>442880 >That's the most edgy garbage fanfic concept I've ever heard! FTFY >>442887 Oh boy! I hope Silver will be a himbo in the original too.
The artist that did that Sunset Rebels Sonadow comic did a fanart of a scene from Chaotix Super Detective Team. Espio looking lovely as always! >>442896 Nice!

>>441769 Project Blackout Chapter 1 Page 16-18 https://projectblackoutcomic.tumblr.com/ Well then, looks like this updated yesterday with three new pages. The good thing about tumblr comics set up like this is that if you want to go through all the pages then you can and not worry about random posts and reposts breaking things up so definitely worth revisiting.

This little comic I call Deja Vu is a result of getting confused with the differences between the 3 versions of Sonic Colors (Wii, DS, and Ultimate). And kind of a spiritual successor to that “Portals” mini comic I made awhile back. Enjoy! https://www.deviantart.com/emptiedmind20
>>442907 The artist is still pretty active putting out a good amount of pages. Thing is this series only seems to get one page a month. I should look into the OC filled side comic to this series. Maybe it's worth doing... maybe...
>>442889 Get the can opener Sonic, it's twink inspection day! >>442890 This is why half the people he meets want to fight him. >>442895 Oh my, I'm getting the vapors! >>442896 I can almost taste the suffering kino! >>442898 I love my purple waifu so much! >>442899 I like to think our memeing forced the artist to continue it. >>442904 >https://projectblackoutcomic.tumblr.com I remember this one, I love the cute outfits on Shadow and Rouge, and that Shadow flirts with Sonic by splattering him with gangster brains. >>442908 DS is the best one because there's Sonic and Shadow arguably flirting. Also, Silver and Blaze are hanging out together!
>>441769 We already did Eclipse before and now we're doing it again! Like I said, this is the first version and is pretty much the same except with more normal proprotion Sonic characters and in color.

And with convenient attachment points for all sorts of activities! >>442932 Classic Silver >>442937 How many imageboards must you bring to their knees before your thirst for conquest will be sated?
