Its time we had a Mango thread on plus4chan. If for no other reason so that other people can experience a classic moment of content creation in the future.
>>440334 >Does anyone remember specifically when this event with the mangofication first occurred?
The oldest files I have date to 2020 december 28-30, beyond that you'd have to either check the archives for the files & threads dates, or look up if it has a knowyourmeme entry.
>>444847 Aku holding that fruit reminds me of that /co/ thread screencap where an anon completely fucks up trying to draw the people doing the "S" handsign, and it leads to a landslide of people editing images to make fun of it.
Using a mango to muffle your gunshot is a bad idea, its not all just soft flesh inside the fruit. Complications are likely to arise. You'd probably be better off with something like a big potato if you wanted to use a fruit/vegetable.
>>453095 >The scene originates from the fourth issue of the series All-New Ultimates published by Marvel Comics. The issue was released on June, 2014. It was written by Michel Fiffe and penciled by Amilcar Pinna. The context of the scene sees minor character Poey Ponsor, a drug dealer and boyfriend of lead character Bombshell (Lana Baumgartner), getting killed by an unidentified assailant, who is later in the issue identified as a member of the drug gang Serpent Skulls. In the previous issue, Poey had shown Lana to a warehouse where the Skulls kept their supply. They were trailed by Lana's fellow New Ultimate, Spider-Man (Miles Morales), which resulted in a skirmish that saw the warehouse destroyed. After he hangs up from calling Lana to say goodbye, Poey begs for his life and is murdered. His killer uses a mango as a silencer, resulting in the onomatopoeia "Shpff." It was a pretty shitty page so people had fun editing it (or editing the mango into different things), the original edit being anon removing the gun from the scene so the killer was just threatening the dude with a mango.
>>440093 >>440107 I detest edgy badly-written AUs of mainline superhero universes so much. They are always just the worst, especially when its horror bullshit of like the superheroes all dying to zombies or the like (especially when some edgy no-power loser like the Punisher is shown effortlessly surviving while everyone else dies, because author favourtism sucking them off for being so much more 'hardcore' than all the superpowered faggots in costumes, even superhuman killers like Wolverine or enhanced long-lived black ops spies like Black Widow).
