The whole vibe of that is off and a little off putting and inaccessible to non-furries. If the project were to actually go anywhere I would be suprised and even a little glad to see it, but furries are notoriously flaky with big ideas and little follow through, always hindered and halted by any little thing life throws them, leaving their efforts to fade in time. Usually there isn't enough drive to keep it going because to many furries it's all about creating something 'furry' as opposed to being a creator first and foremost. They're furries making comics/games/animation instead of being artists, writers, animators and game designers who happen to be furry and integrate that theme into their projects. The sad result often is mediocre and forgettable work.
Isn't the statement that 'no one has any right to criticize anything they can't do and do better' also a false argument? I think I'm fully qualified to give my opinion on something, backed by explaination as to why I feel that way. Amusingly enough, by the previous argument no one can tell me my opinion is wrong because they aren't me. You see, that's the difference between debating and actually communicating; in a debate every point is moot and the discussion is ultimately useless.
>>231099 May as well join in and say the roof actually makes sense in the second. (First one is still a lot better IMHO though, mainly because of the expressiveness and fluid animation despite the lack of a crisp CG style)
In a broader sense, it's a better representation of what in-episode animation it like. I'm not just talking about quality, even the style of the show's animation had never been anything like the original opening.
Also, holy crap, this .gif (or the collage equivalent) was discussed to death when it was made half a decade ago, why are people still reacting like this is news?
>>231186 I doubt anyone honestly thinks it looks superior to the traditional version, but it is still an improvement in the eyes of the production crew; less time, less money, less effort, more profit. It's economics, and it eventually happens to almost all good shows.
If they had put in the same effort and flow that they put in with the traditional animation instead of copping out with a badly animated fist shake and a lack of everything from Marge, then IMHO it would be better. But they couldn't, they didn't, and now we're paying the price.
>>231187 I think it's more trolls than under aged kids. Who wouldn't take that prime b8?
>>231358 Turned out to be much better than I expected. I was concerned when I saw the redesigns but those concerns ended up unfounded. Also the atmosphere is weirdly familiar but I can't place from specifically where or what. Dig the Fez-like music.
>>231436 I've been banned from /co/ for spoilered porn too and from /mlp/ when trying to find out what a donut anus was called and posting a spoilered reference. That's always been a rule, and if you don't like it then that's why they made /pco/.
>>235329 It's definitely him, from Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm. That cartoon marked his very first appearance in the franchise, before showing up in MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero and finally becoming playable in MK4.
>>235911 I bet that those are only sexualized to get SOME guys to watch it, just to raise the viewer numbers. The same reason why Disney shows for guys had cutesy characters and little animal sidekicks.
>>235911 >But it's no more "sexualized" something like Sailor Moon or other super-hero show for girls. Yes, it absolutely is. I don't even know how you can make that argument with a straight face.
>>236035 There are very few panty shots in the entire series of Sailor Moon. Maybe a dozen or so over the course of 200 episodes. The few that are there are not sexual in the slightest and not the product of male gaze, but just like one or two frames in the middle of someone falling down stairs or something, with zero focus on it and you would pretty much have to be watching in slow motion to even notice it.
>>236033 It's not. That's ridiculous. It was aimed at girls. It kept being very tame. If someone is naked it's just shown in the shadow, not just showing the friggin tits like in Ranma for example. Pantyshots are very rare and sometimes implausible that they don't happen. None of the characters acts in an alluring manner and instead rather childish. There is a lesbian couple which never has an intimate scene. And all characters want "true love", nothing physical. The most "dirty" thing you can find in this show is a kiss or two. Or that one scene where a kid sexually harrasses Chibiusa which is played for laughs (and you're not supposed to find that sexy, you creep).
If you want sexualized, compare it to e.g. Cutey Honey.
Sorry, missed the post. I have the french DVD only (I only learned last month they released it in english) - it has the french opening, which has no song.
Are you saying gifs haven't been looping like that for you before now? That's how it's always been for me since we moved to this new board layout last year.
>>237287 That's /cog/ material, please take it over to /cog/. Probably the /cog/ general thread would be your best bet. There use to be an XCOM thread, you might wish to restart that if you so desired.
>>237288 It's not a show, it a video game. It's from the new XCOM game. And yes, the gifs have been looping since the new board. HOW slow are you?
>>237931 From Mike Inel's progression of work with a 3D anime Adventure Time. //youtube.com/watch?v=8SMpZxhlh_8 What started as a 3D model viewer of Marceline became a first-person exploratory experience of Marceline's house/cave which then turned in a 3D anime-ish version of that scene from the episode Go With Me and is now becoming some sort of action adventure platforming game. //youtube.com/watch?v=u2OcLMNrOHE
>>235485 >>235486 >>235487 I remember this character is from some french ad for cookies but I can't remember if they are a boy or a girl, only that there was alot of confusion on 4chan regarding it.
