If it wasn’t for the Nocturnus Clan taking over, Fiona would’ve grown up to be a spoiled princess using her authority to get what she wanted. But being Finitevus’ lackey has made her cling to the belief she’ll one day reclaim her title and privileges that come with it. It’s the only keeping her going (her reliance on Scourge has diminished over the years). AI Fiona knows that she doesn’t have a birthright so she dreams of establishing something new. And she desires to have a partner to help her achieve that. She sees promise in Belle, not to mention a kindness she can’t help but like, and decides to teach her to be a proper lady. And dress her up. And there’s other things about this page that could be talked about. But since this is all happening in another universe and not a series, you’ll have to settle for this page and block of text explaining some things. It’s still good to check in every once in a while.

When this was planned as a single issue story, while Knuckles was fighting Kage, Lara-Le fought against Stryker. Lara-Le would lose against Stryker because she was inexperienced as a fighter. Knuckles got incredibly angry and ended up beating both Kage and Stryker. The story has drastically changed from that.

I don't like bitching about this but I genuinely keep having to. I absolutely hate when a character I really like is forever burdened with one I absolutely can't stand, happened to Poison Ivy also. It is just utterly exhausting and it sucks since Blaze perfectly can work as an independent character alongside her more genuine dynamic with Cream or Marine that gets neglected mostly.

Fact check: true! The story's written by Iasmin Ata, who did the story where Sonic sits on the Master Emerald and flirts with Knuckles so you know the Sonknux content will be plentiful! I 100% lay the blame at Evan for ruining Silver's characterization so badly that so many people dislike him. It was fine having Silver be a timid owo ditz with weak powers in her own comic, but that is just not how he's depicted in the game. I've said it before, but The Vulture is far closer to Silver's canon personality than anything we've gotten from Archie or IDW

This is such bullshit, these "time portals" that no one ever sees or mentions in the games are just as dumb as Flynn's two worlds idea. I am so frustrated by Evan (and make no mistake it WAS Evan) fucking up the most basic of game lore to fit her GotF fancomic. For those that don't know, before the Archie reboot she had already added her time portal lore from GotF and was going to expand on it by having Gold, Silver and Schlemmer going on adventures through randomly appearing time portals Sliders-style.

Silver witnessed Mephiles opening a time portal in 06, and was able to replicate it using chaos control with Shadow in the same game so time travel has always been something he can do (it's even listed as a specific ability in one of his old Sonic Channel wallpapers).

While he couldn't choose the destination in 06, he could in Rivals, where he's purposefully going back to stop the Ifrit. Silver doesn't just go back to save the future, he went back in Colo(u)rs DS to see the amusement park's future exhibit, brought his own extreme gear in Zero Gravity, and traveled through time and space after he received Dodon Pa's invitation. These are not just Silver randomly getting sucked into a time portal. Does anyone seriously think Silver is just randomly dressed in his Riders outfit with his extreme gear every time a time portal randomly appears and sends him to an extreme gear tournament?

I get that Evan probably doesn't play the games, but even in the Forces prequel comic Silver states he's come back in time because according to the historical record some bad shit was going down. Hilariously, he even purposely travels back to the present in IDW to stop the metal virus. This is the comic Evan is the lead fucking writer on! My take: Sega's just going to ignore this like they do with everything else that the Sonic Lore Team™ puts out

The time portals are supposed to be a "fix" to the method achieved by the emeralds, as even being slightly more precise to choose when causes issues. Not that the new explanation doesn't either. Primer and Terminator 1 & 2 are the only films I can think of that go beyond the standard H.G. Wells' The Time Machine plot and do something interesting with time travel that's also self-consistent. The TV Show Travelers is also highly underrated. I'll give 06 a pass since despite how messy it got, was almost completely self-consistent.

I think Penders did a good job building a world that revolved around Knuckles. Even if he was sidelined for Penders' OCs. Sonic's a weird case because he's the protagonist but his stories are mainly about him going on adventures and meeting new people. Archie gave him the most when it came to a family and past but even then it wasn't all about him. Even in the games all his chosen one feats are one and done with not much explanation. Sonic and Sally really do fit together because Sonic gets to be Sonic and Sally gets all extra stuff to keep the plot going. Thinking about a purely Sonic focused series, where he has a family, is royalty, has a specific goal, and with prophecies that are always with him reminds me of one continuity that did all of that. Sonic Underground.

I like how they look but I have some concerns. So Shadow is going to be in the next movie. This is kind of a problem because he is a such a spotlight hog, and this is the movie for the two new characters. Even if they cut more time away from Knuckles and Tails, Shadow's inclusion is going to steal some from Amy / Metal Sonic just for being in it. I liked Shadow in 3, but he might just be a negative for 4.
