Don't get me wrong, i still care to an extent, but not as much as i used to. I hardly participate in them anymore and i hardly RP.
I want to care more but the magic of it all just feels like it's no more.

BOBSLED TOURNAMENT: My idea
You can pick a team of 4 characters from anything, /co/, /v/, whatever, and we have a tournament of these teams of 4, and when there are just 4 teams left, they split and 4-way voting is done to determine which goes on to fight in a free for all vote finale of 4 contestants from each of the four teams

OP's Ms. /co/ and TourneyGuy's Mr. /co/ both followed the format of using the logo for the Nominations and Qualifiers OP header and then the Bracket Image for everything else. Stats in 2019 deviated a bit by not making a logo and just using art of Johnny from the previous year or screencaps, but once the rounds started it was all bracket images. Ms. /co/ 2020 went all in on OC with Bracket pictures only occasionally showing up and no logo.

>People were really hesistant about cross-comparing Mr. and Ms. early on. In 2018 and 2019 a ton of emphasis was put on them being seperate unrelated events, and even in 2020 with Stats running both there was still a lot of that going on in the threads. It wasn't until after Mr. /co/ 2020 and Ms. /co/ 2021 that attitude changed/left.

How do we feel about characters being nominated just so they can be in the bottom or barred tournaments?
It kind of bloats the nominations and takes some of the fun out of these side tournaments. But it also lets some more niche campaigns happen. I'm torn.

You should be nominating for the main tourney which is the actual event. Nominating for side stuff on purpose is bloat and artificially constructing those tourneys, and makes the hosting work more difficult.

With Doomfags (aka Doomers or Doomposters) fully taking over and derailing Ms /co/ 2023, we need to discuss these spammers who are damaging tournaments and how to limit their damage.

>Who are they
Essentially, Doomers try to derail all discussion of tournaments with meta "sky is falling" mentality. They are not sincere in their intention or what they say, but want to cause as much chaos as possible for "fun" and/or try to get interest in tournaments to decline rapidly. They will make a talking point whatever side they think will cause more controversy while not beliving what they say.

It really did, I couldn’t even believe it myself that he did THAT well into the finals. Alas he lost but I’m hardly disappointed, we finally have a comic book character finally win a tournament thus breaking another curse that had been around since 2018 thanks to captain skrull. Honestly the next time he comes in once 2026 arrives Kermit will do so much better from here on out, and with that year being the 50th Anniversary of the muppet show, THAT will be his here. Until then I don’t really have another big main for the first time since 2020 but I’ll support whoever it is. Really deserves a well earned vacation
