This board is for hosting tournaments and other organized competitions, be it either events, contests, or anything where a winner must be determined through votes or otherwise. Just for this board, image duplicates are enabled and the bump limits are set extra high. Roleplaying is encouraged, unless event hosts ask otherwise.

There are methods to lessen the chances, but ultimately breaches can always be there. So as with any kind of cheating, there is no one cure-all to "stop it"

One could make a website to make it nigh impossible (sans for an autist with technical skill) but that could still lead to the host thing since one would have to control the site, plus privacy problems etc etc. For that reason I considered it a bit but then decided it's better not.
There are mathematical methodological approaches, but those would require data/knowledge which I do not have and could lead to false-positives which I'd rather not.

The reason why /v/ and /co/ needs mod permission for tournaments to start is because they don’t allow generals. /an/, /tv/ and /lit/ allow generals meaning there isn’t an incentive contact the mods for a tourney to be hosted.

/aco/ is an odds one out as it has allowed tournaments to be held before and is a board that allows (an encourages) generals but for some reason the mods dumped the tournament into /trash/. Main leading theory as to why is because there were furry and anime nominees in the tourney which /aco/ doesn’t allow.

Post characters that you'd do everything in your power to campaign for, but will most certainly not make it into the bracket in any capacity.

My choice is Sister Bragante, from the Ogre Gods.
The comic itself is genuinely a hidden masterpiece and even dead-side characters have an entire personality around them. Bragante has to be one of the most tragic figures I've ever read in a comic.
The Ogre Gods threads seem to have gotten quite the attention and made quite a few anons read it but few people are aware of Bragante due to volume 4 not being available online.

An /int/ernational tournament where we take Countries and pit them in a tournament.
If held in /int/ there wouldn't be no same-fagging and countries would actually come together to bulk vote their countries. There'd be discourse in basically every turn as every country at some point had some conflict with each other or HATE each other like the Balkans.

This is in my opinion the most dangerous and controversial tournament we can hold.
