After last week's hiccup thanks to our Evil Nick Overlords, SHIT IS ABOUT TO GET REAL.

The Spirit Vines in Republic City have attained a new level of hostile! People are being abducted by them ala the spirit Hei-Bai back in Aang's era. How will Korra deal with these shenanigans?

Happy Thanksgiving to our American Avatar fans!

From leddit:

>Korra's encounter with Zaheer was, in my opinion, my favorite scene of this series. Zaheer was by far my favorite antagonist (I think villain in his case isn't the correct term).

>I'm a 26 y/o veteran that has been struggling with PTSD. Something Zaheer said, I guess you can say it was an epiphany. When he was leading Korra into the spirit world, while she was recalling her memory of Zaheer trying to kill her, he said, "Accept what happened to you. Don’t fear what might’ve been. Don’t be afraid." I just got off the phone with a therapist. I'm finally seeking help, and I'm finally ready to start talking about it. I'm not posting this with the intentions of it being a circle jerk or a means to garner sympathy. I'm actually posting it to actually admit that I forgot that cartoons can still teach you lessons, even as an adult. I'm now going to laugh at the next person who says to me, "You're too old to be watching shit like that."

After nearly taking down Kuvira using the Avatar State but coming up short, Korra and the airbenders escaped Zaofu and are returning to Republic City. Whatever mental hangups Korra has left is clearly being triggered by the confusing appearance of the haunting Dark Korra apparition. Perhaps reconnecting with her old friends can help the besieged Avatar take another step toward her mental healing?

Zaofu has fallen and Opal swore to her improsoned family that she would return for them. What kind of plans can she muster with her allies for their rescue?

Well it's a budget action title and they are familiar with the parts of the game that platinum does well and what they do not. So unlike others they aren't going in blind. Also their background in actual game development gives them an edge in understanding this titles development cycle.

The situation at Zaofu is in danger of going pear-shaped between Suyin and Kuvira's factions. With Korra's arrival, Kuvira gave the Avatar a 24 hour grace period to talk Su into a accepting diplomatic solution (aka, fucking surrender). When Korra arrived in the city, she was too late, as Su took her twin sons on an night time assassination mission!

After Bolin, Varrick, and Zhu Li's attempted defections, Kuvira sent Bolin off to the prison camps and forced Varrick to continue his spirit vines research under lock and key while Zhu Li pledged her undying allegiance to Kuvira. What's the play here? And what fate awaits Bolin at Kuvira's Super Happy Re-eduction Camp?

Korra reached a milestone on her road to recovery during her time with Toph in the Great Swamp. She removed the remains of the metallic poison Zaheer afflicted her with and she reconnected with Air Siblings that love her like a big sister. Book 1 made Bank as soon at it was up on Itunes and Book 2 even with its split reception was no slouch in sales. So its got the ability to make a solid profit. Just advertisers and those that want the channel itself to thrive bitch about the lack of profit to them.

But now they've been going digital with '12 Turtles too now so maybe whomever was having it out during the Book 3 run with this erratic flipping from Digital and Cable to Cable only back to only Digital. Finally got a shot at doing what they've been attempting to do for years and that is get part of the older demographics that have been going with digital services last few years.

While maybe no more Avatar for a few years while they chill with other projects maybe we can get some action shows on a Digital Service.

Korra has hit an impasse with Toph while staying with her in the Swamp. Toph advised Korra that only she can remove the rest of the poison inside her when she is willing to. So once again Korra is left with an internal struggle.

As the fallout of Kuvira's power grab at Prince Wu's coronation sets in, it's clear to Tenzin that the Earth Kingdom needs its Avatar more than ever. He charges Jinora and her siblings with the task of finding Korra and bringing her home to Republic City. Will they run afoul of the Swamp's many pitfalls like their grandparents did over 70 years ago?

Its hard to have that awareness. There's always that twinge of doubt present whenever she faced her adversaries. "What if they're right." "What if the world doesn't need an avatar/needs more contact with the spirits" and such. The "maybe I'm doing it wrong" mentality is constantly present.

At least its a step up from Book 1's
"wow hey maybe the government is heavily leaned against benders."

>But that's the opposite of what was shown. Korra continued to fight Toph even though she kept getting hurt, so it's clear that her subconscious wasn't preventing her from fighting. Also if Korra was afraid of fighting she wouldn't have tried fighting everything she came across without any hesitation.
You know the show has always made a clear distinction between comedic/cartoon violence and actual war/fighting violence, since the very first ATLA episode, right? Training with Toph fell into the former.

I like the complexity that she got to her position possibly on the tails of saving the life of he SWT Chief. I'd not be too surprised to see a flashback where she was fine doing this to reunite the kingdom to start but ran into Corrupt Governors that had been isolated and abusive to their people.

At this point she strikes me like Revan from KOTOR. Someone who went down their path because they wanted to protect and felt the given response was insufficient.

I liked that Mako was stumped in defending Wu, because other than he's the old system there isn't any reason for him to be there. And actually he's worse because he'd clearly just be a puppet to the International Community right now.

I shouldn't even reply since this is clearly nitpicking, but the show addressed this. They needed traditional jewelry for the coronation, buying or forging a new crown wouldn't be the same thing, so they opted for the only jewel left, an earring.

I know it's a show directed at younger audiences, so it might have sent the audience mixed messages, but I would've thought Kuvira would be tactful enough to declare her new hegemony as a federation rather than an empire considering the connotations. Even if the former is a misnomer for PR's sake, the latter has blatant connotations of being the same monarchy she was decrying but on steroids.
