>>429488 Oh hey I found this the other day! I was thinking about Mad Rat Dead recently because I never finished the final boss and then I see this come up and it basically just looks like someone using that formula to make their own game.
I know it was a /vg/ thing, but an anon on 8moe recreated /domg/ and is trying to get a game going. Connect here if you wanna play: https://beta.blitzserver.net/game/580#status
>>430520 I have the Kemet expansions and the War for Arrakis expansions still due to come in. I wonder if Tariffs are going to make them more expensive, I already got one email saying I'd need to pay at least an extra 7 bucks for the Kemet expansion and nothing since
>>187574 I'm currently in a Lancer campaign with some IRL friends. We used to play IRL but most ended up moving away to different cities. We still game online together though. I'm currently trying to convince them to let me GM a Traveler campaign.

Did you love a vidya location and music (and even atmosphere) so much in your childhood you'd just stay there sometimes and let the music play while you were doing something else or just chilling? For me, it was the National Park in Pokemon GSC. Used to go there, put the GBC right next to me and draw stupid shit while this was playing Pokemon Silver/Gold/Crystal - National Park
To be honest now I do the opposite most of the time, I turn the music off games I'm playing on the PC and listen to something else like comedy shows or podcasts while playing them.
What do you think of the Mother trilogies entries? Last month, I played M1 for the first time, and I have mixed thoughts. On the one hand, it feels a lot like a prototype of M2/Earthbound, and on the other hand, almost all the stuff that wasn't carried into the sequel is pretty great. I hope either of those remakes comes out they might let me enjoy the good parts of it more.
Mother 1 is a game that shows it's age but once you get an idea on the type of game they wanted to accomplish you grow to appreciate it more. In particular the atmosphere which feels bittersweet and almost melancholic at times.
Honestly, playing dragon quest 1-3 after playing mother made me really impressed with how much mother expanded upon the formula. Unique setting aside, it also has a better variety of magic spells and equipment, movement and dungeon designs that aren't tile-based, and seamless integration between the overworld and the towns/dungeons. It was really freeing to explore the huge map even if there wasn't all that much to discover.
you might be a day early for that one, mario kart direct is only tomorrow. and I don't think sony and Microsoft have anything cooking until the next "not E3" event.

>>429462 One of the characters didn't have a proper model ready so the just used her concept art as a placeholder There was an animatic of a cutscene though but Nintendo struck down the video that had it
>>425687 Its nice when devs actually support people making their old MMOs playable rather than holding it to ransom despite never planning to do anything with it ever again (but they 'might' so fuck the fans)
Necroposting a bit here but my favorite MMOs would have to be Tibia, the one that started it all for me, old Runescape from back in the day, and RO (Ragnarok Online). I can say the most hours I've sinked on these games would have to be Tibia and RO. I don't play them anymore but I played Tibia back in 2021 for like 2 months maybe.
>>419176 Visiting /cog/ due to current events, this thread makes me sad. NGS is so shit compared to base PSO2, I miss it so much. I wish I could've played it for longer, four years of NGS and nothing but disappointment and the ever encroaching threat of EoS fully putting the game to rest.
Dragon Age Keep is out, wanna have a Dragon Age General to talk about it or the game it is creating a story choice file for? Anyone have any strong feelings about it? I'm undecided if I'm actually gonna get Inquisition but this thing still seems pretty interesting.
I'm kind of lost on the DA2 section choices though, never played it since it was awful. Surely some of the rest of you must be in the same situation when it comes to that.
I knew Veilguard was gonna be bad, didn't expect it to flop that hard. Stupid fucking CEO blames the game being single player instead of Live Service shit.
