MvC Fighting Collection got a major patch which included four new remixed tracks by CapJams and a new art piece by Shinkiro. does this mean a new MvC is in the works
>>431454 I get the feeling that Capcom is keen on working on one fighting game at a time, and Street Fighter has been doing great, so I don't see support for it ending any time soon. They could, of course, get an outside studio to at least help in development. Until, I don't know. Maybe they'll add an X-Men in the next season of SF6.
There was multiple Marvel Arcade Multiplayer BeatEmUps back in the day this is reminding me of. Like one was the Avengers and another was Spider-Man and a random assortment of other character that I saw in a cabinet at a chipshop when my family was on holiday.
Can't remember the actual details of any of them. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
What's with retro homebrews using monster ROM sizes no commercial game back in the day ever would have used? A 256k Colecovision game is pushing disbelief a bit.
Edition: "Because in the end, evil always finds a way."
>Overlord is set in a high fantasy world, where the player takes the role of a resurrected warrior known simply as the Overlord, who has control over hordes of goblin-like creatures known as "minions". The player must defeat seven corrupt ruling heroes in order to reconquer the lands and establish his lordship over its inhabitants. The game features a corruption feature, similar to that of the Fable games, but allowing the player to "be evil... or really evil", where certain actions and choices affect different aspects of the story and gameplay. While the Overlord is controlled in a third person perspective, the way minions are controlled brings elements of real time strategy and upgrades bring those of role-playing games. The game also uses black humour and often parodies and satires traditional fantasy setting and plot.
>>431732 It'd be cool if the new Overlord was somone from the King Arthur myth, like Mordred. Or even Arthur himself, with the goal of currupting Excalibur
>>431281 So fun thing about those old browser games, the files used for them were found to be stored in the internet caches of some people leading to private servers being able to be made.
>>430742 >Tries to mug you when you first meet him. >Head shoved so far up his own ass he can taste what he had for lunch. I'm hoping this isn't all there is to him. Otherwise he's getting left at camp.
>>429488 Oh hey I found this the other day! I was thinking about Mad Rat Dead recently because I never finished the final boss and then I see this come up and it basically just looks like someone using that formula to make their own game.
I know it was a /vg/ thing, but an anon on 8moe recreated /domg/ and is trying to get a game going. Connect here if you wanna play: https://beta.blitzserver.net/game/580#status

Did you love a vidya location and music (and even atmosphere) so much in your childhood you'd just stay there sometimes and let the music play while you were doing something else or just chilling? For me, it was the National Park in Pokemon GSC. Used to go there, put the GBC right next to me and draw stupid shit while this was playing Pokemon Silver/Gold/Crystal - National Park
To be honest now I do the opposite most of the time, I turn the music off games I'm playing on the PC and listen to something else like comedy shows or podcasts while playing them.
What do you think of the Mother trilogies entries? Last month, I played M1 for the first time, and I have mixed thoughts. On the one hand, it feels a lot like a prototype of M2/Earthbound, and on the other hand, almost all the stuff that wasn't carried into the sequel is pretty great. I hope either of those remakes comes out they might let me enjoy the good parts of it more.
Mother 1 is a game that shows it's age but once you get an idea on the type of game they wanted to accomplish you grow to appreciate it more. In particular the atmosphere which feels bittersweet and almost melancholic at times.
Honestly, playing dragon quest 1-3 after playing mother made me really impressed with how much mother expanded upon the formula. Unique setting aside, it also has a better variety of magic spells and equipment, movement and dungeon designs that aren't tile-based, and seamless integration between the overworld and the towns/dungeons. It was really freeing to explore the huge map even if there wasn't all that much to discover.
