[New log: Unnamed Log] [Note: 8 Months sense last log: Update? Y/N?] [N]
>Recap >I'll be brief as my status has rather minimal importance to the actual state of my research. >After departing Elysium-7, we were taken out of the system entirely: >Elysium “won” but the system itself was in ruins as a result, and the next closest planet still habitable for refuge was in the Coelian System. >Questions were raised to me and the other survivors of E-7, but unsurprisingly very little cared about the documentation I had about the ‘seaglass’ and the drone I was living with, despite the whole “I'm pretty sure it was an alien” thing. >All they cared about was the occupying solver forces and what you had done to survive their attacks, which made my explanation all the more unappealing to them. >Probably dismissed all your strangle reports as delusions or trauma. >Whatever.
>Get cleared, find out my employer got obliterated by the incursion, and the government gobbled any remaining assets to help fund their ongoing efforts. >All you get is a pat on the back and none of the pay you were promised. >Fuckers. >At least there's no shortage of job opportunities. >Spend the next 6 months doing work in a few districts. >Somehow start working at a university. >Somehow… earn the certifications required to become a professor? >You signed like 3 papers and showed some basic knowledge of geology, was that enough? >Guess they're desperate for new staff. >Fast forward a bit. >2 Months ago, I was offered a seat in some ships going back to Elysium-7 for reclaiming operations. >Probably my last chance to see if Veil is still there before they scrap the place.
>Get there,Unsurprisingly Veil is nowhere to be found, her & and her ship are gone, leaving a snow filled crater where it last sat. >Damn. >Grabbed a few more seaglass samples at least. >Came home, got immediately offered a spot in recolonisation efforts in Elysium-3. >Apparently they needed academic professionals, which you somehow qualified for. >The pay jump was stupid high in exchange for living in an active warzone. >Stupidly accept. >End up living in a portable building for the next month while warships shoot over your head. >At least reconstruction efforts are progressing quickly, as you type this you now have a half decent house and an office in your partially rebuilt campus building. >Recap over. [End log]
[New Log: Seaglass interactions & Veil Status]
>Seaglass >New samples of seaglass material obtained on a recent visit to Elysium-7 showed early stages of decomposition (unsure the exact terminology, it's not oxidation but rocks don't exactly ‘rot’ by themselves.) >Some pieces remained hard like glass fragments, while the softer and more malleable pieces were showing signs of further integrity loss. >Some even fell apart into a sludgy liquid in their containers during transport. >Curiously I began doing crosssampling by placing small pieces of copper and other raw metals in contact with the seaglass. >Some of the samples slowly enveloped the metal pieces as if being magnetically attracted, resulting in a larger sample and the metal seemingly alloyed into the material itself. >Further testing could possibly result in a way to functionally ‘grow’ this material, if I can find a better way to ‘feed’ it the proper materials it… craves? I don't think it's particularly picky. >whatever it is, but I'm still messing with something inherently alien and possibly biological, so showing even the smallest bit of caution because I start giving it exotics metals should be a given. >Results show it does seem to prefer copper, but any regular metal and some simple alloys seem to yield results as well. >While it's no doubt the source of these fragments are from Veils ship, I have yet to figure out where that itself sourced the material. Is it something these aliens seemingly made? Grew? Or just… happened upon? You wish you could ask.
>Veil Sta-
>you pause in your chair for a moment, sitting back from your laptop and having a look around your office. >You haven't seen or heard of anything pointing towards Veil sense you've left. >Which is a good thing, as she seemingly was successful in repairing her ship and getting off the planet as well, but her fate afterwards remains a mystery to you. >… >Veil Status: >The location of The ‘drone’ name Veil remains unknown, she has seemingly completed her goal in repairing her ship and has left E-7, presumably to return wherever she came from. >All you have left as evidence of her existence are the seaglass samples and the strange device she built for you, which you have seated in a display case on your office shel- >Waitaminute >You look up from your laptop. >It's not there anymore.
>>356512 >The display case is open and the device is missing, but how? >You had just seen there a few minutes ago and nothing has changed in your room the entire time you've been writing. >Where did it go? >You get up to check to see if its fallen, but you feel something on your leg >Look down and- >It grew legs. >And its currently climbing up one of yours. >Ohgodohfuck
>On impulse you kick your leg, sending the purple thing across the room, smacking into a wall. >{“é”} >It hits the door to your office with a thud, opening it ajar, then lands on the ground, righting itself after a moment, and skitters towards you again. >before you can find something to swing at it with, it crawls up on your desk and folds up, reverting back into the shape it originally was. >...what the fuck. >No idea how long it's been able to do that. >Carefully, you pick it up to inspect it. >Its back to how it was, but on the bottom one of the little divots emits a faint light. >Curiously you poke it, causing the sound of a crackly speaker to emit from the upper part of the device. >Is this like a phone or something? >[“Hello?”] >No response from the audio, but cuts off abruptly soon after your question.
>The device wiggles again as it flips back over and sticks out its legs again, scurrying off the desk and out the ajar door to your office. >It disappears out the door for a moment, but then peaks its head back in, wiggling its short little antenna at you in some kind of beckoning motion. >you follow it to the door and it continues down the hall, luckily no one is in the building besides maybe some janitors. >Following the little bug phone alien thing out of the building and towards an old park near the campus >It's technically outside the border of your little town sanctuary, and the military is usually super peeved about people leaving the site without clearance, but lately the reclaiming efforts have been speeding up substantially in the region, so restrictions are a lot more relaxed now. >The park has been rather smashed since the war, but nature has not hesitated in reclaiming it already.
>Many of the burnt husks of trees are already covered in green and have saplings growing off of their crisp trunks. >Eventualy your destination is reached as the bug climbs onto an old bench and tucks back into its original shape. >Picking it up and looking around, you can't really notice anything out of the ordinary, or anything at all really. >It's quite dark out, and outside the little town there's very little light, Besides the vocational flash of a distant frigate unloading munitions across the horizon. >Those flashes are the only thing that alerted you to the big ass orb hovering at the treelevel about 30 feet away. >its presence was further given away as it pushed it way through the treeline, stopping just short of clearing you and the bench sitting in the middle of.
>It's Veils ship… You think, looks like the same giant purple marble you saw in the snow half a year earlier. >She probably tracked you through that device she gave you. >Bug.. Device..thing.. Still not sure what to define it as anymore. >It hovered there silent for a moment before a gap forming a doorway opened in the front. >It was brighter inside, though only in the context of it being almost pitchblack outside, and standing in the doorway was the familiar silhouette of a robed worker drone. >She looked… worse for wear, more cracks on her visor and more binding covered her exposed limbs. >It Seems whatever drone corpse she's still using as a body isn't handling whatever is inhabiting it well. >The bug you held wiggled for a moment before jumping out of your hands, scurrying over to the ramp the second it touched the ground and climbing onto Veil's raised arm, it wiggled its antenna at her and she responds with her own movement from her horns.
>She speaks first, her accent still noticeable but her english far more fluent: >(“Seems you've kept yourself busy, Huh professor?”) She says with a sarcastic tone. >[“Nice to see you too, Veil.”] You respond in turn as you watch her step off her ship and walk towards you, seemingly unbothered by the decrepit state of her body. >[“And don't call me that, Its not a title i've felt i've earned-”] >She interrupts you by shoving the bug back into your hands, which squirms for a moment before climbing up your arm and finding a new resting spot on your shoulder. >(“For all the work you've done for both me and your ‘research’, I think the title fits just fine, Anon.) >She walks past you and sits on the old bench, patting a spot next to you beckoning you to sit, which you oblige. >[“So you've been tracking me the whole time, with this thing?”] you shrug the shoulder with the resting bug on it which doesn't respond minus a gentle wave of its antenna’s >(“More or less, though i've been keeping myself busy once I got my vessel working… there was a lot to process once you'd left.”) >She paused for a moment to look you up and down, wearing attire far different then the usual snow gear you wore last you met.
>>356513 >(“I don't have much time left here, so ill be quick…”) >(“...back when we met, I didn't realise the severity of our interactions till your questions about my vessel, before that… I was too busy worrying about my own circumstances to even realise I was interacting with an entirely different species…”) >Wait what. >What does she mean by that? She doesn't look anything like a human, in that drone body or whatever that corpse was meant to look like originally. >Shes… humanoid shaped enough I guess but- >(“...Its hard to explain but your people look alot like ours… back when we are still larval, which I guess applies to you as well, though from what i've seen your kind lack the means of transference in death.”) >I don't like how she uses the Term ‘Larval’ in ANY of the contexts she just used them for, now you're not so sure nothing is going to pop out the back of that drone body like some sort of weird ass parasite.
>[“Larval is a funny word to use to describe my entire state of being, Viel.”] >Her horns curl a little as she hides a giggle. >(“Translations aren't an exact process, it's the closest word I could find with your language.”) >(“But to try and clarify, Most of my kind does look a lot like yours, you lack our receptors, our Chitin, Your skin is pale and thin compared to ours, you are alot… warmer… but otherwise, your kind is very similar to us and how I used to look.”) >Slightly less weird in that context, but receptors? Is that what the horns are? >[“So all of your kind have receptors like those?”] >(“Not quite, it depends on your caste:”) >Caste? Like the stuff they use for like… ants? >(“There's a few variations, but my kind are Vel, typical of surface runners and the like. Jut Receptors are short and pointy…”) >She continues on listing the rest of her peoples ‘castes’ >Really wish you had something to write this all down with-
>Wait, Vel? Vel is the name of a Caste? >[“...have I been calling you by your caste this entire time?”] >(“Yes.”) Her… receptors… curl again, seemingly amused by your realisation. >Fuck. >[“Wait, so what's your actual name?”] >(“Where im from, I go by ‘Takize Qou Surdosage’…”) >Fuckass name. >(“But you can just call me ‘Taki’.”) >Thank god. >[“Taki, i can work with that, what now then?”] >She looks away for a moment and stares off in the direction of the distant warships and lets out a little sigh.
>(“I'd love to stay and learn more from this planet and your people, but I really need to get back home… im long past due to this expedition and im unsure how much longer this golems body can handle my… modifications to it.”) >(“Once I get home, im unsure if the news of me finding a new species like yours would fare well, more so that I was partially stranded with one for a time…”) >(“...And even if I can come back, I'll look different from what I'm like now, that wouldn't bother you much… right?”) >[“Not at all.”] >Guess it depends, but I got a general vibe from her…corpse… it shouldn't be that much of a worry as long as she stays vaguely humanoid. >(“...Good. Then as long as you keep your little friend with you, I should be able to find you again when I do return, even if I don't know when that might be… the counsel is indecisive when it comes to… foreign affairs.”) >That got a chuckle out of you.
>[“yes ill keep him, just warn me next time whatever you give me something that can sprout legs, he got me good earlier.”] >The bug remains idle on your shoulder, its short ‘Jut’ receptors waving passively during your conversation. >[“But i guess this is another goodbye then, huh?”] >(“...It seems so, but do not loathe this one, for we will meet again, anon.”) >(“Even if I need to take a little ‘detour’ and disobey the council for a few gazes.”) >With that, she gets up from the bench and walks back to her ship, not even giving you or your little bug friend a proper goodbye. >She stands on the ramp of the ship as it starts lifting itself up through the treeline. >Before she's too far away to hear, she shouts one more thing: >(“OH! NEXT WE MEET, BRING FOOD! I HAVEN'T EATEN THAT GOOD SENSE TUVAZU!”) >[“WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?”] >You don't get a response as the ramp closes behind her, leaving you and the bug in the silent wake of that giant orb as it departs. >You see a brief flash, and the ship disappears from the skyline. >After the wind settles down, the silence and darkness returns. >You stand there for a few minutes, but eventually head back down the path leading to the colony, your new pet bug phone thing climbs down your shirt into your pocket. >You need a drink.
A well of white static emerges from the otherwise calm space, after a moment, an object comes through it: A Dull vessel, leaking fluid from surface damage emerges and drifts widely as the convergence closes behind it. Distantly a Gasgiant looms, in its orbit, a moon sits silently, tidal locked to its mass. Inside the stricken vessel, a cluttered interior is further tossed askew as the lone occupant digs though its processions. >{“TAKIZE, WE ARE BEING HAILED.”} the pilotcyst calls out.
The ‘drone’ occupant responds, not pausing in her search. >(“Yes I know friend, let them reconnect the dull tether first, this first message needs to be heard clearly.
Joining alongside the damage Vessel, two smaller orbs attach themselves into openings on the sides of the ship, causing it to shift
>{“DULL HEARTS RECONNECTED: ANSWERING HAIL RECOMMENDED.”} >(“Just one momen-AHAH! Found it!”) >(“Establish communique, establish our distress status if you still can.”)
A conversation of wordless thought is communicated silently as Takize finishes her preparations. After a moment, A communicator flickers to life, a voice is heard on the other side:
>[“Attention, Vessel in distress!”] >[Speaking on behalf of anterior dull station,What is the status of your distress?”]
Sitting on the chair in front of the pilot cyst where the communicator resides in, Takize sits up to make sure it hears her properly:
>(“This is Takize Qou Surdosage, wayfinder of Call team Obdellion, My Vessel, body and mindcore is damaged and we are requesting immediate assistance! >[“Takize? Your expedition was meant to return a Stare ago!”] >(“Yes, my ship crash landed in a system I was prospecting in, I was stranded for quite a while!”) >[“We have Aid on the way… Takize why do you sound… different?”] >(“I have… alot to explain when I get back to my team… but like i said my body and mindcore have been damaged, i've sense had to resort too… another for proper locomotion.”) >[“...I See. Standby Takize.”]
After a few moments, another Vessel approaches, docking to the front using tethers, sealing together. The front hatch opens, revealing the silhouettes of two looming Qou: a Kiv and a Jut The Jut speaks first as they walk in, his voice monotone and almost uncaring
>[“Wayfinder Takize, we are here in response to your distress call-”] >Among the debris, he almost missed the short stature of the drone standing in front of them. >Almost. >[“...Velzie’s wrath… what happened?”] The Jut knells down, but is still a head higher than the drone, the Kiv remains standing, scanning the rest of the battered interior.
>(“I shall need a gaze or more to explain my current circumstances, but here, this might explain some things.”)
In her hands an object wrapped in spare cloth is given to the jut, who cautiously unwraps it revealing… a Knife. It is made of tempered steel, straight and sharp, with several jarated edges along the back side of its blade. Nothing more than a human blade, the one Anonymous gave to her back on that frozen planet. The Jut had never seen such craftsmanship before.
>[“...Where did you find this?”] >(“Not found, given. While I was stranded on a planet in the system known as “Elysium”, I met Something.. Who helped me repair my ship…) >(“They called themselves ‘humans’... and they looked alot like us.”)
>>356516 [2 Eyes later: (roughly 4 & ½ years give or take)]
>...She was back on the ice planet… nothing but white dunes all around her… she was running from something. >What did he call them… DeeDee’s? One was chasing her, gliding silently above her. >It dove without warning, Causing taki to dive to the side to avoid getting landed on. >It had… a horrible smile to it, its horrendous glee of something driven made with some unknown disease. >To kill it would be a mercy for you both, but you lacked any means of combat, and getting to the range of those claws meant death or worse. >It lunges, you close your eyes waiting for the impact of its claws. >A loud bang rings out, throwing the beast to the side, missing its lunge entirely. >You scramble away as it reels from some known hit, its face shattered by some unknown force. >In the distance, you see a silhouette. >Its him, the human you met in the tundra, he is holding some human weapon. >More bangs go off as you feel something whizz by you, impacting the beast again as it gets back up, striking it back into the hard snow. >He ran past you without a word, barely even registering your existence as he kept activating his weapon into the body of the creature until it finally stopped moving. >It laid strewn, its hole filled torso leaking a tar black fluid and smoking faintly. >Slowly, the man turned towards her. >His face was uncovered but >There was nothing there, just a void of black under his bindings >Slowly… he raises his weapon at you. >She steps back, stumbling as she can't process the situation fast enough >She tries to plea, but no noise comes from her, nothing more than a whimper >All she can do is kneel as the man lines up a final, decisive strike. >A Deafening blast it the last you hear before-
Takize wakes from her rejuvenation chamber, physically refreshed but mentally… Exhausted. >She had that dream again. >Typically, it ends after the beast lunges, but this one was different. >That man, Anon was his name… it had been so long since you've seen him. >After her renewal after being freed from that golem body, The counsel forbade any further from the human “bright cousins” due to circumstances involving the conflict they had just recently endured. >Id be unwise to attempt first impression on a species currently still, alert of dangers. >At the time my team agreed and we restored to distant observation but… >÷Œ€T$0 >Not this again! She climbs out of her chamber, her new body far taller than the Human Golem she resided in for a time, a comfortable form she has no regrets returning to. >She slouches over to her desk, containing multitudes of memory cysts and other correcentric devices. >She can't deny herself like this again. >She misses him. >But as much as she wished, the restrictions were not without warrant >Human Vessels were far more alert, far more numerous, and seemingly ready to fire on anything unrecognized . >Any sort of loitering would result in instant destruction, and repercussions for her entire race. >But.. There has to be something? >She grabs one of the cysts and access it, pondering through the many documents she has stored of information regarding human technology >She's not allowed any contact with humans… but she managed to let them agree to an exception to one human she already met. >If she can somehow reach him, grab him before their ships notice, and get away, that might work. >Human ships are fast, but dull vessels are faster.
>If she can do it fast enough, she can fit it right into one of her standard patrols. >As she ponders, something rustled behind her in her room. >In the far corner, the body of the drone she once occupied shuffled awake, standing idle waiting for commands. >After she had swapped cores, she was allowed to convert her old body and mind into an echo, to help her with documenting everything involving these new galactic neighbors. >(“Veil, get my ship ready in the hanger, ill be ready in a blink.”) >The Echo's floating receptor curled in affirmation {“Right away, Takize”} >It leaves as taki ponders her next moves carefully. >What would she do with him once she is clear of the ships? Can her ship even support housing something like a human? >Bringing him through the dull is a nogo, unless she wishes to turn him into a fine dust as they pass through the convergence. >She can merely.. Loiter with him for a bit? If she can get a disguise skin she might be able to take him somewhere in that system but… >That's far too risky! >She is already risking enough just trying to meet him again… >It is settled. >I shall find him, ‘barrow’ him for a time, ‘socialise’ for whatever time I can, then return him and depart before the human ships even notice anything is wrong. >Yes, this shall work! >Takize returns the cyst to desk, grabs a few devices, and leaves her room in the direction of the hanger.
2 Days later, Professor “Anonymous” would go missing on a “hike” on one of elysium-3 mountain ranges, search parties were called off 3 weeks later. His fate will remain unknown to most, but to the few who properly knew him, he went how he wanted to go.
>>356517 Alrighty: Now that’s that, time to get this outa the way. (also yes i WAS waiting for this new thread for like a day and a half FIGHT ME)
In case of those unaware, or that I have successfully vague-wrote enough to fool: The Aliens from the Veil green where Obesk/Qou; Aliens from the corru game/story
Don't know what corru is? https://corru.observer/ (still broken on firefox atm fuck) Do know what corru is? Good News! (I think)
In order to not fill this threads with random corru postings, i've started working on a proper corru thread in /Cog/, I threw one up a few weeks ago and it's going about as well as you'd expect (dead) Trying to make it a proper thing because the only two places with active corru discussion (tumblr and the corru discord) have heavy NSFW rules about what you can post and I want a place that DOESN'T have those rules.
Ill make sure any corru discussions get redirected there, but for now ill try and speed run any info about Veil/Takize I can in this post before i dump any other info I couldn't fit.
>Takize is qou (vel). >She be wayfinder. (qou scout basically) >Discovered the Elysium system right at the start of a solver incursion. >Gets her ship attacked by a DD dropship >Both crashland on Elysium-7 >A DD and Takize throw hands. >Both loose, but DD loses harder, gets core scrambled by corru-disabler. >Her body is fucked, skitters around as mindcore for a bit (simmaler to solver cores crawling around) >Finds worker drone corpse, drags it back to ship, throws in in regenchamber and crawls in >Takize is now Droen. >Events of green occur >Repairs her ship and gets back home to Obeski >Gets new body >Yearns for her anon, goes back and kidnaps him >They fukk >He dies of one of MANY reasons.
And now for random corru green trivia: >Bugphone’s name is Jutterbug. >Veil’s/Takize’s Receptor’s (horn looking things) are somewhat soft and leathery, they are also extremely sensitive and it's implied to be a form of intimacy for someone else to fiddle with them, do with this information what you will. >In the original game the plot of the Qou/Obesk is they found earth because of a signal, in this instance they dont find earth because Cyn fucking ate it, so they happen apon humanity by sheer chance. >They then see all the BS humanity is going through and decide not to bother until things cool down. >No I did not make the anon based off that one FPS game protag, sheer chance he looks like that. >Most of this green takes place at the very end of the solverwar (post ep8) and is around the time early reclaimers like AVRE start being made. Any I missing anything else uhhhh >Elysiums remaining navy takes a huge role in helping clear sections for recolonisation, hence why they're just ‘there’ during part 3 Uhhhh Fuck head blanking I'll just stick around and answer any questions people have left of eather corru or the green.
Hope you enjoyed the greens and the funnylooking horned droen, I like drawing her.
>>356485 Considering they're isolationists taken to the extreme who also hate the Solver, this is a really bad idea. Other than surviving, their priority is evading the Solver be iy through stealth and weapons. They most likely have weaponry that specifically kills anything Solver inflicted.
>>356521 That's true, but I think they might not expect to be attacked by humans when they prepare against Solver. For example, if their engines are significantly damaged, they could turn into a cratering asteroid, and that's it, a siege. The attackers have the entire universe and its resources, but how much time does the ship have? A hundred years? Two hundred? Or maybe no more than ten, if they're constantly under attack?
>>356510 >Doomer approaching you with a red face like tomatoes. >She's standing in from you with an embarrassed expression and touching her index fingers together. >"Anon, i broke my visor again." Doomer, stop talking to my muscular shirtless post. I'm right here
>>356524 The great cosmic irony is that Solver ships are indistinguishable from human ones: whatever the Union fields, the Arkships are equipped, prepared, and eager to bring down. Rmember that they EXPECT to be constantly attacked, tracked, and tricked: they're as ready for a siege as one can get. The Union would need to maintain a near infinitely long supply line just to start doing damage to the castle-that-runs-away.

>>356518 Honestly I'm suprised they didn't rush to kill the "parasites" beseting humanity: they don't know this species, but they DO recognize an infestation gone absolutely out-of-control(and would work to at least keep it limited to human space)
>>356518 Nice green! >Takize is now Droen. All Ayylmaos must be turned into drones. Total alien dronification now! Even the Cybertronians! >i've started working on a proper corru thread in /Cog/, I threw one up a few weeks ago and it's going about as well as you'd expect (dead) Yeah a shame that, I tried moving some of the runway 40k discussion to the 40k thread there but it's also dead, a shame because I want a place for discussing warhammer that isn't /tg/ Only the HHG and GROG threads don't suck and one is for a game system I don't play and the other is for a very specific era that I'm not really that into
>>356528 I now realize this is nonsense. These ships are fleeing because they can't defeat the Solver, which means they won't rely on armament: there's no point. Such a ship would rely on only two things: reliability and speed. These aren't armed fortresses — they're racing bolives, racing into the void in the hopes of finding a habitable planet far away. If they are found (that's the whole point, if), they're doomed, as their design doesn't include any defense whatsoever.
IAS Supreme Investment, recently dropped out of her second decade long C+ supercruise. The hull was originally bare but significant additions were made during the first two year stop. The crew compliment has nearly doubled but still occupy only about 10% of her habitable deck space. While the hull itself is perfectly intact, large swathes of the original high albedo heat rejecting paint have been ablated away by microscopic debris strikes and the constant exposure to Hawking radiation and Delta rays while in C+ flight. It will be replaced where needed but after long deliberation The Board were convinced to jettison the decorative red and black enamels needed to restore the logo regularly. As a result it is ablating away and will be gone within fifty years. Substantial technological development has been made in transit and this stop will include the first round of significant overhauls to her C+ drive elements. An interesting change has already taken place in the first generation of refugees, they can look with unprotected eyes directly into C+ space without developing psychosis or hallucinating. So far this adaptation, while beneficial, remains unexplained.

>Anyways, what I see in it is a few things, starting with the fairly mundane thing that makes people want to fuck serial killers, the old 'well, if the dangerous person loves me then that means I'm safe!' impulse, but beyond that I see Lizzy as someone who can't quite see herself as someone wielding real power, but attached to people who can. Lizzy doesn't see herself as able to murder and fight, and she latches onto the ability to do that without consideration for any sort of moral cost. Like, imagine, if you will, a normal lesbian teenager who's """bestie""" has become a terrifyingly powerful vampire witch who goes on to murder multiple other popular girls in order to engineer her public vengeance against a different mad, spiteful vampire bitch. You could see that girl acting out of fear or despair, but when shit starts getting Carrie she's just run for her life and hope whatever monster wins will let her live. It'd just be fear and survival, not a love triangle, you know? (also I'd watch that very gay horror movie.)
>Lizzy, in my estimation, wants to be owned by a monster.
>...It just struck me that her fondness for highly dangerous monsters might at least in part come from a desire for her father to exhibit genuine concern for her well being. "Oh, look daddy! I'm smooching on one of the genocide robots who've threatened us all for decades!" "...Ok."
>>356590 It's not my place to give drawing advice, but shouldn't thick lines only be used to outline the outer contours? I remember a few drawfags saying that.
>>356588 NTA, but to further this: Lizzy's room (according to >>356573s render drop) has a window. To the *outside*
>Lizzy had a front-row-seat to the Murderbots >Lizzy ALSO had that seat to V's terrifying, horrifically-savage attempts to "get in" (going on for MONTHS pre-series) >Sleeping essentially opposite a starving tiger for goodness knows how long is a significant contributor to both her blase attitude and her dismissal of others' lives >hard to see drones as "people" when they're torn apart in front of you every other day
>>356534 The one nice thing about /cog/ is that it itself is dead, so its the corru thread aint actually in a bad spot, all it needs is some discussion and ill stay at the top pretty consistently, we just need peeps interested and id rather not be the only person there posting art.
But yeah like I said any questions/concerns or whatever the fuck you wanna ask about the game, shoot it over there. Theirs a fair few drawfags here already who do the occasional corru art not just amyanon, i dont want to pester them in joining it but im running outa ideas here
>>356595 Yeah, my drawing mostly follows that rule but not completely consistently yet since I still use thick lines internally in some places. The artwork also isn’t the finished product, so the line weight hasn’t been fully refined yet. I’m still developing some style and experimenting.
>>356597 >>356603 >"Wait, if Outpost 3 has windows why didn't the disassembly drones ever try to get into it through one of those and not the big indestructible doors?" asked Producer Guy. >"I don't know!~" said Screenwriter Guy. >"Fair enough!" said Producer Guy.

FUCK THE MOLLY BOSS ALL SHE DOES IS RUN AWAY AND ATTACK YOU FROM SPOTS THE CAMERA CAN'T SEE OR TRACK FAST ENOUGH WOTH LOCK ON! THE FINAL BOSS MELTED BY GPUDRONE! WHY DOES THE SOLVER NEED SO MANY PARTICLES?!?
>>356599 I do see them getting along post-war, due to a shared interest in fashion and also rear port. Pavo's never even called R "one of the good ones", that's how well they get along.
>>356607 To be fair I don't mind corru stuff being posted here (I'm not a hypocrite) but I do wish you luck in getting a place to discuss your specific autistic interest meanwhile the current 40k thread on tg has had femboy porn for over an hour and the mod don't care and people are bickering about drama, please kill me and end this torment
>>356614 LoL, when I joined the thread about the HOI mod TFR(This is the one with images of drones and even a portrait of V), there was some nafo moron constantly writing about how TFR is crap and TNO is better, that TFR promotes a multipolar world and that all Russians should die, and it's all under generated image "Chad TNO vs Virgin TFR."
I just wanted to read about the mod for my favorite strategy game, and it's 80% drama. It's even worse than the drone threads on /co/, for God's sake!
>>356531 Few reasons why they decided to stay distant: >Tech range wise, the obesk are all fucking over the place, and while they do have SOME tech capable of hurting DD's and are fairly capable fighters individually... at melee range... >They lack in numbers, ranged weaponry and any knowledge of large scale combat >Culturally they are still fairly tribal, just with FTL tech and stuff to put their minds in immortal body's. >They dident understand guns till humanity taught them how, they haven't gotten that far yet in this story
>Already have a fair few parasites of their own bullshit variety to deal with, their home planet (moon) is full of em.
At the time of the story the war was coming to a close and the the fighting was shifting from defensive fighting to reclaiming, as while they where still solver forces in the system (absolute fuckton of DDs stranded on E-3) they where largely disorganization and kinda doing their own thing at that point
>>356624 Not surprising but sometimes irritating. I admit that I am biased in favor of Sentinels seeing as I created half of them, but nonstop sex fantasies just bore me to death, and I mostly hate the whole "what if X character but Sentinel?" Theres only so many times it can be done before it just gets boring and that time passed like two years ago.
>>356625 >Theres only so many times it can be done before it just gets boring and that time passed like two years ago. These kinds of discussions happen incredibly rarely, and when they do, it's only for a short time. The last one was about V, and when was that, two weeks ago? And before that, I can't even remember who it was about. There is only mention Sentinel Fuguedron regularly, and that's pretty much it.
>>356621 Honestly I think Worker Drone Louisa is a significantly more interesting concept (regardless whether it's played semi-seriously or for pure smut)
>Drones decide they need bloodsport >Humans had wrestling, after all, why don't they do that? >The answer is "because drones are too strong and too fragile", as it turns out >Eventually, a dedicated autistic drone comes up with what he deems the "Double-You Device" >Through the use of advanced blued-tooths technology, a drone can link itself to an empty frame and be in two places at once, and only die if both go down >Latency makes this useless if there's a wall in the way, but it's perfect for sports >So now there's an oilsport in the outpost in which two drones enter with a weapon of choice and flail at each other until one stops moving >Drones who sign up say that feeling yourself die and then waking back up in your primary body is only jarring and horrifying the first few times! >It gets REALLY awkward if the dead drone's safeties don't go off and the combatant bodies zombify, though
>>356588 >Lizzy is a monsterfucker because at the root of it she feels powerless and gloms onto monsters because she likes the idea of being wanted by someone who could kill her instantly >V is an uncontrollably murderous sadist because after being raped in every way imaginable, violence against people who are helpless before her, the way she was helpless before Vore GLaDOS, makes her feel powerful and like she has control over her life The combination of these dynamics isn't just unhealthy, it's also extremely blursed. It's not gonna take long for them to downgrade to being friends with occasional benefits.

I’m not here to hurt you. I’m just here to take you back.” She glances over to you and gives you a small wave with her hand. “Hi, Inco.” “How’d you find us, Harper? We kinda walked without any direction and uhh…yeah, we’re lost.” >Switch glares at you for a second then looks back at Harper. You shrug back. No harm done in telling the truth. “One of the sentries notified us that both of you exited the base perimeter. We had to assume the worst that she went out to hunt again.” “Hunt?” >”We assumed she was gonna start hunting any DD that decided to wander near here. She took you with her?” “No, it was actually my idea.” >”Your…idea?” Harper says as she raises her eyebrows questionably. “Yeah. Just the two of us walking through the wilderness.” >Harper does a double take as she heard what you said then shakes her head. “Regardless, the two of you must come back.” “And if we don’t want to?” >”Pavo’s not too far from me. We have orders to bring back Switch one way or another. I’d prefer if we don’t resort to violence.” Harper makes a pleading face at Switch. “Please.” >Switch stares at her like she’s gonna butcher Harper any minute but sighs and transforms her hand back to normal. She glances at you then points at your backpack. You quickly grab it as the two of you start following Harper back to the base.

The fuck is Anon doing? They've got REPOPULATION PROGRAMS and he's STILL below replacement rate even purely within his own family? No wonder Huntress was hurting: you felt that retardation in her oil-line
>inb4 Huntress flips out on her spawn >refuses to leave till he's made "sufficient contributions to the Union" >"sufficient contributions" is 5+ kids >WILL be enforcing it: whether willing or as a draftee is up to Anon
