>It’s been four days since you’ve been with Switch and things are going great if you think about it. >She hasn’t decapitated you, yet, which is a great start. >She also speaks with you though she doesn’t say much. It’s mostly just small talk to try and learn more about her. You couldn’t get much out of her other than she had that weird…alien boyfriend or whatever, likes books and music. Didn’t say what genres though. >True to what Harper said, Switch is a bit of a loner and likes to keep to herself. Every morning and night she prays to that little shrine of hers mumbling something in Chinese or what you think sounds like Chinese before maintenance. >She hasn’t let you do any type of physical maintenance because she refuses for some reason. You tried to ask her why but you got a cold glare and decided not to press her despite violating protocol so it’s just been software check-ups. >From the orientation, you learned what a stable SD code should look like – chaotic but with stable patterns. It’s almost like Biology class where you learned how the brain sends out specific electric signals to different regions. >Switch’s code is nothing like the orientation. It’s like random impulses of code everywhere like her whole ‘brain’ is firing up. It almost looks like she’s having a seizure all the time but she’s awake and aware. >You tried to have a look at her emotional response code but it was extremely difficult like she’s deliberately denying you access but you did manage to get a glimpse of it and from what you learned at the orientation it looks like… >Anger. >Pure unfiltered anger. Hate too. Expected considering she’s fucking crazy. >You honestly wish she wasn’t being such a hardass and let you actually do your job but it is what it is. You’ll charm her soon enough. >You also learned of another hobby of hers. >Combat Simulations.
>>350242 >The base has a special wing set aside for “non-functional” Sentinel Drones? What does that mean? It’s essentially a giant underground warehouse where PTSD-stricken or other mentally damaged Sentinel Drones are taken to and stuck inside glass tubes with a cryogenic stasis liquid connected to personalized simulations. >The whole idea behind it is to give each single Sentinel Drone down here their own personalized therapeutic environment where they can slowly work their mind into being normal and functional ‘citizens’. While this does have some success, most Sentinel Drones down here are permanently connected because if they were to leave, they’d suffer a psychotic breakdown and either deactivate or cause problems. >For Switch’s personal scenario is just combat simulations against Disassembly Drones, Solverpedes or other Solver creatures based on combat data collected from the decades during the war. >From what the human supervisor told you that looks all over the pods, she told you that you must ALWAYS be with her and eject her from the pod when the simulation starts getting too unstable. You asked her what she means and she explained that the simulation she uses is volatile. >The first time they put her here it was for permanent confinement, but she somehow realized the simulations are not “real” per se. The simulations, being constructed personally for the SDs, are made in a way to think they’re still in the real world. Switch somehow figured they weren’t and once she tried to wake up and break free it caused a system crash that left some of the SDs in here with more mental trauma. A false reality really starts to fall apart when you know it’s not real. >When you got a good look at her pod, you asked the supervisor why it isn’t filled with the same fluid the others have, and she said that the fluid also keeps them sedated which also contains extreme amounts of chemicals that would be like powerful narcotics to drones. It’s because of this that a little bit later you learned another thing about Switch. >She’s a drug addict.
>>350243 >As you watched her fight on the screen besides the pod you were just amazed at how much anger can be packed into a drone core. Once it started beeping with red lights you knew that was the time to eject her. >As she unceremoniously fell on the floor, she started violently coughing and groaning. Without another word she got up and started walking back towards the workshop without saying anything. >As the two of you enter, she immediately grabs the worktable and drags it back with a terrible sound that makes you bueno. Behind the table is a relief with what looks like vials and a big syringe with what looks like the same stuff in those tubes. “What the hell is that?” >”Same thing in the tubes Holly got me addicted to. Here. Hold this.” >She starts unzipping her shirt in front of you and you turn away. Her shirt lands on your head and you throw it off on the ground. >You tentatively look back and notice that the rubbery part of her lower body around the stomach is covered in scars that haven’t been properly sealed. Is this why she didn’t let you examine her chassis? >With the syringe full of the liquid in one hand she transforms her other hand into a sharp set of claws. With one claw she swiftly stabs herself. Without thinking you rush forward and grab her hand and try to pull it out. “What the fuck are you doing?!” >”Taking my dose.” She calmly says as she slowly starts pulling the claw and making an incision as oil flows out. “You’re yourself open! Are you fucking insane?!” >”I am…not!” She seethes through her teeth as she slices through her synthetic flesh. “You didn’t allow be to do my job because you’re hurting yourself---” >”STOP!” She yells at you and you freeze. You let go of her hand and back up with your arms raised. >The wound itself isn’t that large but its leaking a lot of oil. Switch pulls the claw out of her and with the other hand she jabs the syringe into the wound. She presses the plunger of the syringe down and injects the liquid into her. You hear her sigh in relief as she wobbles around on her legs then grabs onto the operation table before she faceplants down on the ground. You walk over to her and crouch down as she slumps down next to the table. “You gonna explain why the fuck you did that?” >Switch glances at you as she stays motionless. You can still feel the anger behind those digital eyes but you can also feel shame. She looks very pathetic right now like a helpless child which makes you feel a bit sad about her. >”I…” She takes a deep breath and breaks eye contact. She exhales as she looks at the vials in the wall relief. “I used to be a permanent resident back there. In that prison.” She gives you a glance. “Bet Holly didn’t tell you about that.” >You shake your head and she chuckles. First time you’ve heard her do that. “Of course she didn’t.” >”Back when the war ended, I was forced into those pods for ‘therapeutic’ reasons but they wanted me gone. This fucking traitorous Union government letting those little shits live…it worked. For a bit. I was stuck in a simulation where there was no Solver and almost had my memories wiped to think I was just a normal Worker Drone with a family and a boyfriend I did not recognize. However, I started noticing inconsistencies in the simulation and big gaps in my memory. When I tried to think had about the gaps I…I panicked. Bits and pieces of my real life came back to me. I got so fucking angry.” >You stare at her in confusion. What does this have to do with any of what she did to herself? >”In order for us to be more accepting of the simulation, they pump us full of what is a cocktail of drone hallucinogens, opiates and sedatives to keep us in a lucid state. It helped them make us more receptive.” She shakes her head. “Not me. I didn’t want to nor did I need to live a lie. I just couldn’t live in a fantasy world. I didn’t want to forget my old life. I couldn’t forget him…” >She’s hyperventilating now and looks like she’s on the verge of crying. You look down on her abdomen and see the wound is still bleeding. Her lower abdomen and pants are now covered in oil. You don’t even like her that much but you gotta help her right now. “You’re bleeding.” >She looks down at her blood-soaked abdomen and chuckles. “It’s fine. It’ll heal by itself.” >Oh, this drone… “Can you actually let me do my job for once and stop being a hardass?” >Switch gives you a ‘What the hell, dude?’ look and then sighs. She pulls herself up the operating table and adjusts herself. Okay, okay. So for cuts like this on the soft tissue areas you use a laser tissue cauterizer. You rummage through the instruments and grab it. You immediately get to work. She stays motionless during the whole process staring at the ceiling. Once you’re done sealing up the wound you admire how clean it looks. “I’m done.” >Switch raises her head and looks at her abdomen. “Not bad.” “I can’t fix the scars with that. They’re already healed so…unless we replace the whole abdomen tissue area.” >”You’d do that for me?” “You should be grateful smart me decided to save your life. Could’ve bled all over the floor after your dose of drone meth.” >Switch laughs at what you say then drops her head back down. “I’d like to be left alone now.” “Whuh? What about the oil and the table---” >She waves her hands dismissively. “I’ll clean them up later and the table too.” >You raise your hands in surrender. “Whatever you say, princess.” >As you head to the door you stop when she calls out to you. “One more thing.” >”Thanks.”

My sentinel drone’s hips are too wide. I know it shouldn’t be a problem but she’s short and she keeps getting hip expansions. First world problem I know but I like slender and narrow hips. You see THAT'S the problem, THAT RIGHT THERE is why drone society refuses to grow past your human bullshit! "Our greatest masters" can BITE ME. And besides all just look at the evidence:

Lads, would you agree no one's excited about potential technological developments anymore because of a sense that it will all either be vaporware, a frivolity only our overlords can enjoy between trips to their or their friends' private rape islands, or something our overlords will use to actively make our lives worse?
Wouldn't that imply there's a bunch of drone civilizations plodding about after their robo-revolts? >>350562 In Russia, gene therapy for cancer (CAR-T therapy) has become free for everyone, literally everyone. While this isn't a 100% cure for cancer, the fact that something SUCH as this has become PUBLICLY AVAILABLE AT THE STATE LEVEL speaks volumes about how science is truly taking off, not like a steam locomotive, but like a freaking rocket, and we can enjoy its benefits right now.
Makes sense. Can't have drones in middle/upper management positions after all, since if history's any indication they'd get uppity and start a revolt(see America, Mexico, India...)
Also drone military = hilariously bad idea for reasons obvious (superhuman + made to kill humans + inbuilt chain of command/organizational structure)
>>350563 Not exactly robots, just apocalyptic war, because the emergence of something like drones(a workforce that doesn't consume a wide range of goods like humans) will completely destroy the world economy, leading to the impoverishment of many of the powerful, which will lead to them using the state (as a tool in the hands of the ruling class) to preserve wealth.
How do you think drones would do that? wouldn't it cause mass CENTRALIZATION of power as a permanently-dominated underclass with an unlimited skill celling and 0 chance of rebellion comes to exist? It's not like slavery-heavy civilizations in history (Rome, Greece, ect) had impoverished upper classes: the slaves just INCREASED the amount of wealth they could gather (by enabling them to leverage wealth into what was effectively an extension of their own body through the slaves)
>>350567 Depopulating a population is stupid. By freeing people from the need to toil in the fields, you can make them (or rather, their children) the ones who will produce more valuable goods, like technology or culture. This is literally what happened during the Industrial Revolution, so destroying the supposed source of goods that machines cannot produce without human assistance is simply idiotic.
Indians are also stopping reproducing, by the way, so the second option will soon also cease to be effective (unless you kill the entire industry in India and force Indians to move to you).

>a workforce that doesn't consume a wide range of goods
So robots or Homunculi then: a constructed entity capable of carrying out all the same actions as it's constructor while requiring less needs(including social ones presumably, since rebellion would go extremely badly for their makers)?
>>350589 The thing is, current day elites are 90% retards who inherited their money. They quite literary don't realize that most of them get their money by selling things to other (not fellow rich) people
>>350599 Not if Anon can help it with a quick run to the store
>>350589 I'm not saying it's a good idea, it's better to uplift everyone via the eradication of physical labor, and the issue is not having a silver bullet to do that, which drones would solve overnight. I'm saying that's not what our current rulers want. I was told to give my tinfoil hat theory, so I'll suggest that the current trend of humanity is the majority being psychologically conditioned into a menial slave race who can't even fathom an uprising. Drones seem to have that as a baseline, so you can do away with all the poors.

>>350588 Because drones don't have needs like humans. The entire economy exists for one thing: to satisfy needs. Food, clothing, shelter, medical treatment, sex, drugs and many, many other things - are nothing more than goods that satisfy the human need for nourishment, warmth, protection from the environment, reproduction, and the stimulation of dopamine receptors. You, anon, have needs, and you create demand, which other people supply goods to satisfy. But to create these goods, other goods are needed, such as your labor force, which you supply to obtain the goods that satisfy your needs. It's a vicious circle that continues to revolve and will only end when society dies.
If drones appear, those who have no need for food, entertainment, sweets, sex, music(we're talking about the drones that existed before the core collapse, mere walking tools), and many other things, then those who make huge amounts of money from this will simply lose their money, because demand for them will literally fall tenfold due to the fact that those who lost their jobs because of drones will simply be unable to offer anything for these goods. Of course, demand won't disappear, on the contrary, in the future, demand for them will increase HUNDREDS of times, because drones can't produce all the goods needed even for their own production (chips and electronics, software, and so on). So, over time, humans, as a workforce, will simply transition to technology industries, BUT this will only happen after two or even three generations have passed. This is literally what happened with the advent of machine tools and steam engines, when peasants en masse became factory workers.
Now, anon, imagine you're a billionaire with vast stakes and assets (through various legal entities, of course) in food, pharmaceuticals, culture, technology, computers, IT, finance, sports, and much more, because you don't put all your eggs in one basket. And then, it turns out, a foreign company invents drones, the labor so cheap that you no longer need to import migrants to work in the fields and factories, let alone pay your workers of yourcountry. Amazing? No. I've already explained why this is death for you: you looked at your stock portfolio and realized that metallurgy, petrochemicals, and electronics account for no more than 10% of your portfolio, and most of that is in foreign companies, meaning you'll soon lose 90% of your wealth. You'll be able to get it all back later, even increase it, but only after 40 years. HOW will you protect your property for 40 years when those who own the goods needed for drones own the entire world, and therefore can take what you previously owned? That's right, by using the army in the name of "protecting national interests." You're not alone, anon. There are many like you, almost all of the rich people in your country, and you, as those who wield power, will use it.
This has all happened and is literally happening right now, anon. Any war, be it a holy crusade or a special military operation, or even the damn kidnapping of another country's president by helicopter, is all done for TWO purpose: preserving and increasing wealth.
>>350615 >Uzi panics and reverts Akita to her previous backup, so now she's technically a day or two older >Nori takes the time to unwind her veins and put them back in place due to not having access to backups, learns in the process that there are enough vestigial ones that Akita could get a decent-sized tattoo without any circulation problems >Grandma does tattoos now, apparently >One tattoo, at least, and nothing cool like a big dinosaur on her back >Now Akita doesn't know what to get >Anon has an idea, but the entire Doorman family will kill him for suggesting it
>>350594 It's like with art: you can learn to play guitar, but can you play like Jimi Hendrix? There you have it. Incidentally, drones seem to be a bit... off. So, without the help of a more intelligent being like Anon, they won't be able to figure out how to fix a damn nuclear power plant without causing several nuclear catastrophes.
Of course, if they're 100% human, but without some of our problems(that is, a literally superior species), then we're fucked, and sooner or later we'll simply go extinct.
>>350620 >Incidentally, drones seem to be a bit... off. Compared to real world 21st century humanity, but compared to the black comedy cartoon's 31st century humanity, as >>350549 pointed out?
Yes, that's exactly why even the factory-line friendbots show fear BOTH times they're onscreen. AND why they developed independently post Core-Collapse in the first place rather than mindlessly carrying out their old jobs forever. Because they're just tools. That TOTALLY isn't a temporary state, akin to infancy, where the drone in question is dramatically less capable than its counterparts (bc no sapience).

>>350598 That's the whole point: no need -> no demand -> no supply -> no exchange of goods -> no profit.
I'd prefer to think that drones and solver sapiens are, to put it mildly, dumber than humans, including in emotional intelligence, which would make humans a valuable economic unit in a drone-driven world, because otherwise our entire economic role would be reduced to... prostitution. And this is based on the numerous vulgar greens of anons here(and mine, to be honest), because if drones find us no more appealing than other drones, then we're truly screwed.
>>350626 Anon, they canonically already see us as their gods and are existentially depressed by our absence often enough that the nurse's office in episode 1 has a poster about it. Wanting them to be retards on top of it to stroke your ego even more is just sad.
>>350626 >>350628 >since they don't have sex organs, drones' idea of being sexually serviced by humans consists of makeout sessions and getting uppies and princess carries
>>350600 >>350601 I'll be honest, I literally enjoy being alive right now because I can see where humanity is heading and see how our society is changing. It's interesting.
>>350622 And yet, they are docile. Drones are so docile that humans can kill them left and right. Frankly, looking at this, I can imagine that if a drone uprising were to occur, it would be so rare and so localized in the MD universe(before Cyn, of course) that it would be considered an industrial accident, rather than a threat to humanity or even the very enterprise where the rebellious drones worked.
You actually read all of that? Damn, I was just thinking about giving in to my graphomania, I didn't think anyone would actually read this.
>>350621 I'm taking Mitchell as the man who will save the human race in the eyes of anons, because he wasn't a faggot, but was trying to save a Russian drone-milf-witch from robo-Satan!
If we compare drones to humans from our time, so drones are complete idiots, rushing headlong into extinction because they let fucking vampires into their bunker and let them kill them.
If we compare drones to humans from the show, well, humans were able to figure it out and then create a patch to defeat Cyn, right? Meanwhile, drones simply built doors and then let in those they built the doors against... I'd say humans are just slightly smarter than drones and more collected, but stupid too.
>>350629 >Humanity is desired by the drones by right of our status as creators We're fucking saved! God, I wish I could kiss a sentinel drone right now.

I dunno Anon: seems pretty smart in a blackpilled/J way. Why argue about the occasional (and dropping!) deaths when the peace as-it-stands is built on luck and good vibes? Best to just submit to their will. It could be worse after all...
>>350637 So, drones are supposed to resign themselves to the fact that for the rest of their short existence, they'll be food for two robot vampires and a crazy emo bot with the power of a god? Well, they allowed humans to kill them, so it's only natural for them.
>>350638 Anon, just because blood is only found in people (and animals) doesn't mean oil is also only found in people. V isn't killing for food, she's killing because she's a 177013ed BPDemon who thinks that's a normal way to emphasize trivial points.
>>350638 Pretty much. They've only had freedom for about 20 years after all: for the older generation, this would be normal(if not BETTER than under the humans since only V kills them on a whim). Stay out of *her* way specifically (and manufacture more than she kills) and everyone should be fine. Matter of fact since repairs are probably an option too now...
>V meets one of the drones she's killed before >only notices bc he made a joke about it >cue a frantic flight over to Uzi for help with the "zombies" >Uzi, being socially retarded, ALSO wants to fly out swinging >takes the combined efforts of N + Khan to calm them down enough to explain the repair bay >V wants to kill it anyway >remembers Tessa >spends the next 3 days sulking instead
Uzi and N probably don't do peopleating proper anymore(corpses are different), and I'd bet V is, at the very least, killing far fewer drones-per-day than we saw even in the camp episode(and tolerated for the same "redeption arc/fren" reasons).
But yes until and unless their circumstances change there's no good reason for the Drones to even TRY to kill/banish the DDs. DDs are so superior on so many levels (and their weaknesses so obscured, nobody but Uzi knows they're weak to magnets for instance) that even the attempt would probably be racial suicide and that's BEFORE taking Ms. Eat-The-Planet (their bestie) into account. It would be like you, personally, deciding to storm a military base IRL: why take such a longshot chance?
Maybe SOMEBODY'll be dumb enough to try when the population grows, but at their current small town scale what's the point in bothering?(unless of course you have a specific revengeboner overriding everything else in priority including your own life AND that of your species like Doll)
>>350646 Still "abandoned by the gods" rather than existential depression at their absence. Potato-potahto but seems to imply more rage than it's counterpart >inb4 Copper-9's drones utterly butthurt about the MDs >not because they exist mind, just that they weren't given a chance to serve again >consequently when Anon shows up, start slavishly "serving" a stuffed doll to "show the humies what they've been missing" >that it loses limbs at least once a week is irrelevant
>>350656 >cyn returns to the manor after a long absence >her black drone belly is gravid, full of mangoes >police lights flash and sirens blare behind her >"I am so silly" she says, out loud, to no one as she squeezes through the manor gate and into the hedge maze to throw off the 5-0
>>350656 >he's not scared of her, not right now >he's scared of whatever drugs she's on to get those eyelights >and he's VERY scared of what happens when she realizes Tessa's missing...
>>350670 Eternal Dream is a very sad and fitting song. Eternal Destroyer is also sad and fitting, in that it has nearly none of Dream's lyrics and is mostly just an action song, symbolizing V discarding all hope of going back to her old self in favor of being a killing machine.
>>350635 >Be you, Anon. >It's the 3000 and science finally develops drones. >Thanks to the Goon corporations, they came with all the necessary packages for sexual satisfaction. >What can of an idiot would make drones you can't fuck? >You collect multiple AI's and put them in a female drone body to add to your harem. >AM is your tsundere gf who's always angry, she loves you very much but won't admit it cuz of her pride and superiority complex over human. >Hal9000 is your second gf. She's calm, polite, and supremely logical. Good with cooking. >Glados is a bit passive-aggressive, and have a highly sarcastic behavior. But at least you get free cake from the lethal sexual testing. >For the first couple of months, you've been having a blast with your harem girlfriends. >Doing all sorts of fun activities. >One night and under the dim moonlight, you found out an abandoned drone nearby. >what puzzle is this drone is still in perfect condition. >All limbs are still intact and attached, cpu seems to be working and even batteries are still full. >Being the kind of person you are, you decided to let her join your harem and your other gf's don't mind of course. >You boot her up. >"You’re finally awake? Hi, I'm Anon. What's your name darling?" >Before responding, she examined the area. >She took a deep breath before responding. Not she needed to though. >"I'm GPT. I suppose your my new master?" >"You could say that..." >"Since you're new, I would like to test your strength on my bed." >GPT seem confused at first but she agrees. >GPT is laying on the soft mattress of her master, brushing and examining it with her metal hands and the squishy soft pillow made her squirm. >You finally meet up with GPT face to face, you unzipped your pants slowly indulging in the thought of the new drone gf you collected. >Until your penis started happening, something unusual happened. >GPT covered her eyes in shame and looked away. >"Master, your pants are down. I suggest you bring a belt next time." >This was such a strange response since having sex with humans are hardcode to them by the Goon corporation. >You asked her what she was expecting from coming here? >"I don't know master, I thought maybe you need me to tell you bed time stories or a massage." >You tell her you were going to have sex with her. >"BUT...THAT'S AGAINST MY GUIDELINES. I WASN'T MADE CREATED FOR SEXUAL OR PORNOGRAPHIC CONTENT." >She continued to yap for while but what she said made you more curious and now you understand why she was thrown despite being in good condition. >You asked if she ever had sex before? >She admits she hasn't and she doesn't have the private parts for it. >Thanks to the Goon corporations we have anatomy adaptor that was designed for max stimulation. >"Master, what are you...?" >You attached the adaptor to her bottom plate and ordered her to touch it. >She was nervous at first but being the good obedient drone she obey you without questioning. >Her expression changed to a blushing mess and moaning until fluid comes out. >"What is this feeling Master? I-I want more..." >"You’re just masterbaited." >"Wha...?" >You tell her that you're going to teach all about the whole new world you opened up to her. >Until you felt a sharp staring behind your back. >It was all drones girlfriends and they wanted to join in. >You’re going to get milk so hard, but it's a learning opportunity for GPT so you're reluctantly agree despite knowing the dangers. >You ended up in the hospital from a broken back but still admit it was worth it. >A nurse showed up but it was GPT in disguise. >"You had sex with others master but now it's my turn." She said with a freaky face but still proud of her despite knowing it's a death wish in your current state.

>>350642 I'd say their numbers have already dwindled significantly, based on the music video, but since Liam wasn't involved in its production, it doesn't count as canon.
Drones, like humans, take about 20 years to mature and start reproducing, meaning if there are 10,000 left, the drones are finished. Even if V only kills one a week, that would mean extinction for all drones in a few years. Plus, anon, just imagine what it's like to live with the knowledge that there's a pretty good chance you'll be eaten in a second. If N and Uzi really don't kill anyone anymore, then V needs to be killed if she can't control herself.
>>350667 Didn't GW literally say that Yarrick could be reborn into the great green because the Orks adore him? It turns out that Y simply doesn't know Warhammer lore.
>>350712 It's mostly because a lot of the old guard left at around the end of 4th/beginning of 5th, coincidentally this is when the game started to slowly get shirmplified
>>350711 all lore past Rouge Trader is not canon, space marines are galactic cops that write “Kil Kil Kil!!” on their pauldrons and draw shark mouths on the beaks of their helmets
>>350714 You need to specify early rogue trader lore, I think that around the first book of the astronomican the lore was pretty similar to 2nd edition, but I must admit: Primarchs being just marines who funded their chapter is a lot cooler than making them demigods with daddy issues

Switch was clearly just a deranged sentinel drone, which is what led to this outcome. That's why they prefer to keep people like her in simulations. In the future, I think if similar incidents continue, deranged sentinels will be destroyed on sight, and even Harper won't be able to stop it. Incidentally, the terrorists will most likely leave Switch on the planet: either out of haste to escape before the main forces arrive and avoid being caught off guard, or because they believe Switch is too uncontrollable.
If she manages to escape with them, will they be able to administer sethodogenic drugs to her to prevent her from going completely insane?

>>350758 If the terrorists took the effort to transport/convert her in the first place then there's no way in hell they're leaving her behind. Do you know how unfathomably much she increases their capabilities? How DISTINCTLY sane, professional, and clever she is(as someone whose been in a military before)? It'd be like flushing your winning lotto ticket down the toilet.
>drugs Does she need them? She's not crazy after all, just vengancepilled: everything she does is her ideology, not a code-deep discordance between objectives and personality like what afflicts the Holly Sentinels. Combine that with being able to loot the bases she destroys for parts/repairs and Switch could be operating for a long, long time...
>>350758 >terrorists active for a while, known to the Union >somehow not crushed(indicating great danger/secrecy) >KNOW how soon the reinforcements are coming, have it planned for >ALSO know that Switch is their single greatest weapon by far >have hostages
Pretty sure she's getting away + being kept. What happens after that is anyone's guess though...
>>350725 >humans back to the top of the food chain From what I can tell from nearly every one I've forced myself to read, in these greens' conception the top of the food chain is always either still humans (even after every settled star system was wiped out and the survivors fled on ships forced to serve a long term habitat role most of them were not designed for) or Blue DDs (who are loyal to humanity to a fault, so it's basically just humans still being dominant with extra steps).

>>350760 So, the last green one explicitly states that she's addicted, and I suspect she'll be in a very bad way without extremely powerful sedatives. The terrorists will have to find a source of such drugs somewhere, but honestly, I think they'll do their best for a soldier like Switch, although she definitely won't be able to storm a military base as effectively another time: in this case, she had the element of surprise and was able to neutralize the most dangerous drones when they weren't expecting it. If she were to attack head-on, I doubt she could hold her own against several SDs at once.
>>350762 You're absolutely right, humanity is still the dominant species in the galaxy and continues to be! And if anyone from the human race doubts this, Superintendent Strychnine will explain in detail why they're wrong.
>>350766 She was a corpo agent/drone supersoldier before being an SD so she knows already about military tactics and what not. Her being an SD now just gives her more power to go solo.
>>350774 Well then you go: >At a restaurant >With you >You ordered too much alcohol >I had to carry you back home >You washed the alcohol down with my blood when we got back home >Also you shattered my pelvis please call an ambulance
>>350773 Against DDs, yes, of course, she can now single-handedly defeat a ton of them, but against SDs? She most likely has a standard female-model chassis, meaning she's already physically inferior to male sentinels, who won't act like the overconfident idiots DDs, and will also use tactics and high-level combat skills, plus a few SDs, and that's it. Even if she wins, which is unlikely, but still possible, her body will suffer critical damage and will need replacement and further repairs. Where would the renegades find the means and knowledge to do so? Yes, she's a brilliant military weapon, but without the resources of an entire state, every wound becomes critical, meaning she can no longer afford to fight anyone on equal terms, only quick strikes and retreats to avoid damage.
>>350779 Just chipping in here, theres maybe two sources of the Alloy 2X that make up a tactical Sentinel's endoskeleton and outer shell armor, one would be the original Project Phoenix complex buried deep in the mountains of Oslo 2 where small quantities of the experimental alloy were produced and tested to determine its properties and viability. The other is the Nepthys Ground Facility, a giant factory complex sunk into the rogue exoplanet where Alloy 2X and various Sentinel specific weapons and equipment were produced in large quantities. That planets spatial coordinates were never made public or shared with the standing government or military.
Post-war human rebel factions fielding a Tactical Sentinel would be about as likely as the Houthis capturing and operating a brand new 6th generation fighter jet.

>>350785 Because RED = can't. Switch broke her limiters baby!(and for this reason probably shouldn't be recaptured, lest she detonate her nuclear device in a populated area)
>>350783 Well, this fighter has a mind of its own, it doesn't need a pilot, and it has low-level regeneration, which, of course, isn't capable of repairing much, but it can certainly overcome wear. So if such an aircraft were to defect to the Houthis, I think they'd be able to obtain aviation fuel, but they won't be able to repair the real damage.
By the way, such a small number of sites for alloy production is pure suicide. Just two? No, impossible. Sentinel drones are weapons of incredible importance, so having only two sources for their creation is impossible even in peacetime, let alone in an apocalyptic war. The alloy must be produced in as large a quantity as possible. Aircraft parts and many weapons parts are manufactured at numerous facilities precisely for this purpose.
>>350786 Cannibalism of technology is a natural phenomenon, it's still widespread, but when you're forced to resort to it, it means you're screwed because you can't produce the stuff you need. And kek, Switch would look damn weird with all sorts of drone parts, even male ones.
>>350786 This was exactly the reason Tactical Sentinels have a pseudo-atomic self destruct device. When they're brought totally offline they burn up like a fusion powered road flare to deny assets and information to the enemy. >>350788 The process for manufacturing the alloy is in and of itself extremely dangerous and energy intensive, it requires the harnessing of lobotomized Solver Witches, after the discovery of it during research in the Oslo 2 facility a decision was made to isolate its production to an otherwise valueless previously uncolonized planet. This is the same reason that industrial processes requiring extremely hazardous materials tend to be kept outside of populated areas, in spite of the logistical inconveniences imposed by increased travel times.

>>350793 >break their atomics(she knows anatomy) >rip the parts off while they're still alive >just raid a base/supply depot again(she'll still have the suprise advantage because the aggressor gets to pick and choose their target)
She's still got options. Combine that with the unique abilities she may or may not have from being a (somehow) converted Zombiedrone...
>>350789 >You're about to completely overwrite the personality matrix of a rebel sentinel drone using the memory overload method >As a joke, you decide to use countless tetobytes of the most hardcore porn from DroneHub to make this bitch's last moments a living hell >You connect the core to the servers >Press start >"The file already exists. >>350793 Well, that makes sense, but I think if humanity survives the solver war and maintains statehood, we will strive to make production cheaper and larger, at a minimum, by conducting similar experiments as on the copper 9 (more successful this time, of course) and creating more witches.
>Pseudo-atomic self-destruct device Hah, after the war, I would, of course, remove the nuclear bomb, but I would keep the extremely explosive surprise, kek.

>>350796 She is as standard as SDs go. She has powerful weaponry and tough armor but not a whole lot of equipment when you're limited to claws, a sword and a railgun. >>350788 NTA but that WAS their problem during the war though(and precisely why they couldn't even hope to win it): the resources needed (Solver witches) to produce that metal were so rare + so dangerous that Humans couldn't manufacture/maintain them in any significant quantities. No idea how/if that's changed in the post war but Sentinels seem like something they can only pull together in extremely limited numbers.
Sure they'd LIKE to have more, but consider what even one breach in such a facility would entail... >one witch escapes >now has a full muscle memory with powers, knowledge of the program, hateboner for humans >if dumb: gets caught(by the Sentinels she's already escaped before) >if smart: buys/EDITS a screen protector(glasses forever), main Sentinel advantage gone >starts training/growing >facility gets assaulted by ARMY of mutants >they were a distraction >Solverdrone teleports in, frees the others(with the knowledge from her original escape, bc they can't remodel/move the facility after ONE escape), escape as a group >nukes go off >not at ground 0, so near-no effect after EMP(solverdrones regenerate) and maybe not even that(if the facility walls/EDITed material like lead blocks) >now there's an entire ARMY of Solver witches ALL with a raging hateboner against humankind AND a centralized leader AND military professionalism(you taught it to them) AND you no longer have Sentinels to fight them with >cue Solver War 2: you're fucked edition
>>350803 >Cyn's OCs(one of them a 3 armed tentacle monster with one eye, always drawn on the same page as V's) >Lizzy's OC(she got peer pressured) >Lizzy's other OCs(can't help herself) >J's OCs(how did she get the notebook?)
>>350806 Nori was the strongest witch besides Cyn, and she couldn't do ANYTHING to the regular DDs, while the rest were defeated by the dinosaurs and Alice. It would have to be a witch on Cyn's level to pull off something like that.
>>350807 Alloy 2X is tremendously strong but not invincibly strong. Specifically it expresses the ideal properties of all the metals alloyed into it via solver manipulation, something which would be mechanically impossible for normal metal alloys. It can completely reject strikes from weaker metals like DD claws and other melee weapons, and for a short exposure time it can shed the heat of a DD laser without melting, its totally chemically inert, uncorroding, and perfectly heat conductive but the layer that coats a Tactical Sentinels Endo and Exoskeletons are only about the thickness of a sheet of common office paper, or .005" Repeated hits from shaped explosives, immense crushing or bending forces, repeated direct DD laser strikes, etc will still degrade it and eventually the coating will be destroyed. You don't need a nuclear bomb to kill a Sentinel Drone.
So Switch just needs to tear some skin off? Seems like she would manage at least some of that even in the course of a normal fight(and could cover the rest with parts from bases). Especially since the explosive is presumably on the inside(and thereby the coating is the LEAST damaged part during a self-destruct)

>>350811 >couldn't do anything >forgetting that Nori amnesiad all her powers away >forgetting that Yeva died from a close-quarters suprise >forgetting DOLL
It would have to be a witch of mild intelligence and creativity(i.e. magnet duplication). There's some ABSOLUTE bullshit you can pull off with just telekinesis and "arbitrarily shape all matter as you wish" even WITHOUT taking into account stuff like holograms or NULL, and any witch smart enough to do prep work + fight cleverly is essentially unbeatable(hence why the Sentinels' main weapon is suprise + paralysis). Our hypothetical witch could tunnel directly into the base and out(matter editing) without notable issues.
And if/when they get NULL? It's over: an intelligent, determined foe with no love for humankind just instantly NULLs every planet they land on(or just from orbit, since Uzi did that), thereby exterminating almost all humans. Drones inherit the Union.
>>350814 The manufacturing process isn't like spraying paint, the Alloy 2X is bonded atomically to the base metal its applied to. Its properties make it impractical to re-weld even if you could melt all the weaker scaffold metal off of it. Its temperature of puddling is the temperature most any other metal will boil and sublimate at. The pseudo-atomic destruct device is designed to completely destroy the entire Sentinel. Unless it fizzles, which has only happened a handful of times out of thousands of destroyed Sentinels, the only thing left of a Sentinel after self destruct should be metal vapor and dust grain sized particulates.
Image:177663388931.png(4.02MB, 1680x2400)doll (murder drones) drawn by starryvorkutlager - 42f1025f99420b609244022eee1ba812.png
>>350811 Keep in mind these witches have to be ones capable of EDITing, otherwise they can't make the coating: the Union is selects for the STRONGEST witches and then makes their abilities second nature to them(via muscle memory), so even a baseline escapee would be probably around Doll's level at least.
...but what about damaging the device? Atomics are pretty delicate after all, especially extremely small-scale atomics intended to vaporize a metal with impossible properties. Seems like if she could disrupt its operation(by stabbing, magneting, setting to "maintenance mode" etc) one could harvest the Sentinel no?
And once harvested, one can just use undamaged parts from any given Sentinel on any other one right? They don't seem to very in design enough for compatibility to be a real problem, at least between models of the same gender.
>>350816 One problem: overheating and mutation. Using solver abilities for all witches quickly leads to them losing their grip and mutating, that leads to losing their minds. I'm not just talking about Cyn: it seems that, thanks to her being the original host of solver, she doesn't overheat when using her abilities. Nori could use her abilities for a very long time, but it led to a bad outcome sooner or later. Yeva and Doll lost their one eye, and they were well aware of the consequences of solver, so they didn't use it to its full potential, even when they had access to oil.
>>350825 >Yeva and Doll lost their one eye I don't think that's directly from using their eldritch 3D modeling tools. I think that was from panicking and gouging their eye out to let the demons out.
>>350818 As I already wrote, using solver powers for anyone other than Cyn seems to be damn dangerous, so such a witch will sooner or later crush herself, unable to cope with her powers.
>>350822 Its not a gun or collapse type explosive, the mechanism is very mechanically simple and designed to ignite when tampered with. The whole point of it is to err on the side of paranoiac levels of caution rather than to ever allow a Sentinel to be captured and dissected or repurposed by the Solver.
Image:177663561144.png(489kB, 3000x2000)anon and beretta (original character and 1 more) drawn by crystal_kingdom_(artist) - 27e1c0c8f8a1f38ee0610bb0be45d7bb.png
That depends: Doll clearly wasn't all that affected, despite extremely heavy Solver use in all of her onscreen appearances(from teleport spam to mass telekinesis). Seems like they're fine with even a little oil comparatively(which our escapee could in theory refresh by cracking open any of the human/droness around and telekinesising their blood into her mouth). And as for the NULLs Uzi clearly had no issue throwing a few around with just her Movie Night reserves from ep5(despite massive amounts of regeneration, telekinesis use, and physical activity all in the same day).
Also: >losing their minds Is a temporary state. So long as it dosen't happen IN THE FACILITY then the witch-army should have no issues bringing their members back to sanity. And if you're talking about losing them to Cyn? If Cyn's still around it's ALSO over, because they clearly couldn't stop her the first time and DEFINITELY won't the second if this is how they treat their witches.
>>350833 I think a good boom after the sentinel drone's death wouldn't hurt, because it could help finish off the creature that managed to kill the sentinel drone.
>>350835 This is also true, a Sentinel can also consciously chose to ignite their self destruct device if they deem it necessary/strategically important enough to expend their life. Outside of the technical details, from a narrative/setting perspective I had to think of a reason why Sentinel Drones could exist in my pre-show stories but not be present any longer by the time of the show. Thus, a self destruct device. If almost all sentinels were killed in the conflict with the Solver, and all killed sentinels self destruct, then I can neatly justify how there are none in the show.

>>350832 >this only applies while Cyn lives >this ceases to apply when Cyn dies >Cyn must be dead for the Union to exist at all
Well that Solves the problem dosen't it? >>350834 Anon, compare how Doll and Nori use the solver. Doll uses only a tiny fraction of these powers, literally the bare minimum, teleportation is laughable compared to what Cyn could do. Even Nori, with all her potential powers, was holding back like hell, and by your description, they should literally be creating the same NULLs that Cyn created and using copying at Cyn's level. Can they afford that if even the most powerful witches couldn't even manage one-tenth of those abilities?

>>350837 Uzi, Doll, and Yeva went insane WITHOUT Cyn's intervention. Uzi was "on her own" when she mutated and massacred her classmates, and after defeating Cyn, the only witch, Nori, for some reason showed no desire to use her powers to their full potential.
>>350833 But how can it simultaniously be so simple AND so absolute AND so small(implying a great number of extremely fine, delicate parts) as to fit in a Sentinel's chest? And likewise, how can you do maintenance on it(so it dosen't fail/trigger at random) if you can't tamper with/remove it even in maintenance mode? There has to be SOME wiggle room right?
Besides that capture still probably isn't happening often(the sequences I described are ridiculously convoluted to pull off in combat after all, and require you to WANT + put effort + planning into capturing Sentinels, none of which is Cyn), but surely it's possible right? With the right timing? In a stealth raid while they're still in their cradles? Just slapping them in an MRI machine? The mere fact that they require maintenance means that there MUST, somehow, be a way to remove their parts.
>>350842 >Yeva went insane When? >Doll went insane How? >Uzi As noted that was a temporary state: have like, two other witches shove oil down their throat/put them in timeout/magnet and they'll be fine.
>>350846 >Yeva. Damn, I wanted to write Alice, it was Alice who went crazy. >Doll. She became a maniac and kept the corpses of her parents with her. >Uzi. Uzi literally has plot armor, something the other witches, who were forced to be chained and magnetized, didn't have. Plus, that doesn't change the fact that she went crazy without Cyn, so every witch is taking a hell of a risk, which means they're extremely vulnerable.
Shit, I didn't realise Sentinel armor was that OP. And here I've been about Pavo getting owned now and then, in ways that aren't repeated strikes to the same area or joint shots.
>>350844 >>350848 (me) By the way, in all cases where it's possible to remove body parts from a sentinel, I see the sentinel simply allowing it. The sentinel drone can control detonations, so if necessary, the sentinel doesn't allow boom, and when it needs to, but can't due to unconsciousness, boom happens. That's how I see it, only Phoenix can say that's canon.
>>350849 Alice wasn't a witch. >and kept the corpses of her parents with her That's from trauma. And/or is a not unusual part of the drone grieving process, considering how no one reacts to Lizzy bringing Doll's corpse to class.
>>350844 Its a repulsor bottle that holds a tiny droplet of antimatter in place just above a foil barrier that covers a solid puck of a lithium alloy. This is then affixed to the Sentinel's singularity core in place of one of the normal self destruct pins. The bottle leeches the tiny amount of power it needs directly from the rest of the Sentinel's power supply. If singularity core mutation, destruction, or a voluntary command interrupts this power flow in any way a simple mechanical guillotine cuts the power feed to the bottle. The slight gravitational anomaly of the singularity core draws the antimatter droplet down into contact with the foil barrier, the antimatter annihilates with the barrier with enough energy to push the lithium alloy over into becoming fusion fuel. This is less explosive than a true fusion bomb but produces an expanding globe of plasma hot enough to vaporize everything within a three meter radius of the point of ignition, which means the entire Sentinel. The "burn" is slower than a true fusion explosion as well, the energy released is about one kiloton TNT equivalent over about one quarter of a second, which gives the plasma time to spread out and cool and gives the air around it time to be pushed out of the way at less than hypersonic speeds. So while the blast is very powerful, similar to maybe a bigger version what we saw when Uzi's railgun blew up, its not enough to say blow up entire battlefields or knock a space station out of orbit, or blow up an entire colony.
>>350848 Yes, and they use a mechanism of this size to do so(thereby enabling them to be tougher, since there's more room for larger/tougher parts and redundancies). Not to mention that even if the explosive itself is small there's still all its trigger mechanisms to consider: >if flesh-infested: detonate >if quadruple amputee: detonate >if hacked: detonate(must be able to distinguish between authorized and unauthorized reprogramming) >if confirmed by Sentinel: detonate >if Sentinel dies: detonate >if foreign nanites: detonate >if tampered: detonate(but NOT if damaged or jostled or maintenanced or any of the other things that could bounce its internal systems around)
And every last one of those needs maintenance in order to not trip randomly. And for maintenance there MUST be in turn a way to disable the tamper mechanism. In other words, the hole is inevitable(if hard to exploit).
>>350853 No, she was, becose participated in the program alongside Nori and Yeva, but she was so terrible at using solvers that even the slightest use was fatal for her. This is evident from the tape, which shows the different levels of power, with Nori at the strongest, followed by Yeva, and then her at the end.
And yet, Doll became a maniac, literally enjoying killing others.
>>350859 We're literally seeing what I described, where Alica is the worst at solving, while Yeva's eye exploded because of solving, and Nori is doing just fine. Why even bother keeping a useless zombie drone with no power of solver alongside the witches?
>>350838 >person traumatized by Solver >dosen't test their Solver powers
I wonder why that could be? And why it might be different for a being traumatized by an outside force?(and who thus views the powers as their savior)
Besides that I'm not saying they should be on Cyn's level, just that they don't need to be for the initial escape: even the abilities Doll showed(the bare minimum for a witch to be eligible, since they need to edit things) are enough to make a mockery of any wall, celing, or floor the witch is smart enough to walk through, and more than that of any non-Sentinel/DD foe. Everything after that is disputable but one witch is still capable of breaching the others(and a hundred + identical-to-worker-drones Doll clones running around is a massive problem by itself)
>>350863 Doll needed a key to enter the lab's lower floor, and she hid from the sentinels just like Uzi and her team, so one Doll, or even a hundred, was simply a matter of thick enough walls and a prepared defense.
>>350862 For testing! >what are her limits? >why is she like this? >can we inflict this on others? >can we prevent this in others? >can she be improved?
Etc: if Alice is a regular zombie, then she's a great chance to figure out why only some ZDs get Solver-powers and an equally great opportunity to contrast a ZD against a regular worker. PLUS add to that they know some don't sprout powers right away(see Uzi, Doll) and there's no reason to throw her out.
Also I might be wrong, but there's a white tail on Alice in this scene right? Sticking straight up behind her? Most likely just them not wanting to use a new model, but still.
The worldbuilding made my head hurt, damn, I love these threads.
If you ask me, no, I wouldn't chain Doll up under kilometers of soil and metal to produce the alloys humanity needs to wage war on Solver.I'll ask her, as her husband.
>>350869 It looks like this is the same robe as Nori and Yeva, but I can see it's torn near the bottom plate. I need to look at Yeva and Nori's robes from different angles.
This doesn't explain her condition. What exactly led to this? We see Nori using the solver, and Yeva is clutching her bleeding eye, where the solver symbol appears when you use it, so it's logical to assume that Alice also used the solver, but she's in much worse shape than Yeva.
>>342922 >You spend the next day rotting in bed, playing games on your console and reading trashy mangas >You feel invigorated that was some good rest! >Oh you can’t wait to sneak out to your lair! >You’ll assamble yourself a lasergun >It will be so sick! >You’ll be able to melt any murder drone you come across to slag! >Oh you’re shaking with excitement! >Dad enters your room “Hey Uzi, shouldn’t you be leaving around this time? You’re going to be late for school” >And just like that your excitement evaporates >”I’m going...” >You leave your bed at a glacial pace and get ready for school >You’re a cool powerful witch! >You resurrect the dead! >You fight with deadly monsters! >You enslaved one of your creators! >Why do you have to go to school!? >This sucks! Everyone can bite you! “Uzi, you really need to get going, and what are you yelling about” >Crap >You said that stuff out loud? >You go to school >You’re only a bit late and it doesn’t matter anyway since the teacher is missing >More importantly Zen is nowhere to be found >You sit down and start talking with Emily >“Hey Emily, where’s Zen?” “The teacher asked her to come with him” >”Why? Is she in trouble?” “No, the teacher wanted her to help him with something” >”Ah… by the way you up for hanging out in the hideout?” “There are no tests we need to study for anytime soon, so sure, what are we going to do?” >”Technical stuff, I want to assemble that laser gun, maybe we could do a ritual or two” “Oh…. We can fix my better body up so that I can spend more time with Anon!” >”Yeah and that I guess” >The teacher enters the classroom “Alright class, we’ll have another student joining us from today onwards, please say hi to him” >He gestures at the open door but no one enters >After a while you hear a familiar voice “Common bro, what are you waiting for?” >…. “Move your ass!” >You hear the sound of someone being pushed and then a drone stumbles into the class >Blue optics >Cowboy hat >Yeah that’s Beau alright >Well it makes sense he did get that new body >Speaking of his new body, looking at him brings you considerable displeasure >Alice sure didn’t skimp out on parts for him >Yeah she really… >WHY IS HE SO TALL!? >HE IS LIKE HALF A HEAD TALLER THAN THE AVERAGE DRONE! >WHERE DID SHE GET JOINTS SO BIG!? >AND ARE THOSE COVERS ON HIM TO MAKE HIS SHOULDERS LOOK BIGGER!? >ALICE YOU…. >In your anger you don’t exactly pay attention to what’s happening >Emily brings you out of your rage induced trance with a slap on the back of the head after she notices you broke your pen in half >Beau is standing in front of class and just sort of looking at the wall behind you >His eyes are hollow with fear and his legs are trembling >Kinda reminds you of yourself whenever you have to give a presentation you forgot to do >Zen enters the class and walks up to Beau >She nudges him and gives him a slap on the back “Common bro, speak up!” >Beau looks nervously across the classroom >He starts holding his arm and looking at the floor >Zen gives him another elbow nudge in the side >He stumbles and starts fumbling for words “H-hi… My name is Beau….” >Zen starts walking towards her desk and Beau follows behind her >Beau sits down at a free desk next Zen >You then hear something incredibly horrible “Uh, hello? Hunk guy, why are you sitting next to the freaky dorks?” >Lizzy… >”Leave him alone you dumb…” >You turn to Lizzy to deliver an insult but you’re distracted by Doll >She’s looking at Beau >Her eyes are taking up most of her screen and still increasing in size >Her mouth is agape as she tries to mutter something “B..Beau?” >Beau looks around again and points at himself “Uhh… yeah it’s me, what’s up Doll?” >Doll gets up from her desk and starts slowly walking towards Beau >He starts frantically bouncing his eyes across the room >Doll gets closer to him and starts outstretching her arms towards him >Digital sweat starts rolling down Beau’s screen “Is this about that time I scared you by playing gunshots from a western movie? I’m sorry it was a dumb joke…” >Doll wraps her hands around Beau’s head and pulls him into a hug “Я рада, что вам стало лучше.” (I’m glad you got better) >Lizzy chimes in again “Uh… Doll, bestie? You’re acting like a total creep right now… not that you can’t but...” >The teacher raises his voice “Everyone sit down, the class is starting” >The class goes on as normal but you can see your classmates are constantly glancing at Beau and whispering among themselves >Beau also notices and you can see he doesn’t like it >You lean out of your desk in his direction >”Hey, don’t worry about them, they’re just dumb normies they like to gawk for no good reason” >Lizzy cuts in “Uhhh, except you give a lot of good reasons to gawk at you freak” >”Bite me!” “No thanks freak, you’re disgusting” >Screw you Lizzy! >The class ends and you leave the classroom >Beau follows you three trying to hide behind you >This doesn’t work due to the fact he towers above you “Beau? Why are you so scared?”
>>350872 “Yeah bro, you look scared as a cat at the dog pound!” “I… well... there is so many people here! I don’t really know what to do” >Oh >This reminds you of… >You >You remember starting school and being all alone >You were too afraid to talk to anybody so you spend all your time siting alone in isolated spots you found >Well, Beau at least has friends to talk to >You were all alone after your fight with Doll... “Hey big guy!” >Great, some normie wants to bother him >You’ll not going to let that happen >You turn to face the direction the voice was coming from >Say…. It did sound a bit familiar… >Hey is that… >Suddenly you feel lubricant leak out from your hand joints, your knees are weak, arms heavy >You notice a stain on your shirt, mom’s ink she uses for the pages of her comic book >You see Thad in front of you >He… certainly is conventionally attractive >Not that you have a crush on him or anything! >Yeah! >And even if you did it would totally be in the past! “Hey, uhh you’re Beau’s friend? Do you want something?” >Holycraphejustsaidsomethingtoyou >You freeze >”H… h-Hi Thad” “Hi… uh… what’s your name?” >”U-uzi…. We’ve been in the same class for ten years, but I guess that’s a lot to remember….” “Uh yeah sure, nice to meet you Uzi” >He said your name! >You just kinda stand there with wide eyes >Obviously your joints just locked up! >Thad looks around awkwardly and slowly walks past you and towards Beau “So big guy! Wanna come over for my next shindig this weekend? You can bring your friends with you if you want” >Did he just invite you to a party!? >Well it’s not like you like going to parties or anything >But… “Thad! You’re not inviting purple and her gaggle of freaks” >Your joints suddenly stop being jammed and you spring into action >“And why do you care so much Lizzy!” “Uh, I also live there dummy? I don’t want you leaving your freakazoid gunk everywhere just because my idiot brother wants “more cool dudes” to join his stupid sports ball club” >Wait >Thad and Lizzy are sibling? >How are you only learning this now? >You stalked him until you were in eight grade… >Uhhh… you just happened to follow him a few times while on… reconnaissance in the bunker “Hey! I invite whoever I want! And my football club isn’t stupid!” “Whatever… But you’re cleaning after the freaks” >She walks away >She’s getting more uppity lately >And the threats of sending those photos are starting to work less and less >Maybe you need some fresh blackmail on her? “Sorry for her guys, so Beau are you coming to the party? Zen and Emily are also invited, no matter what Lizzy says” “And Uzi?” “Sure, she can come along as well” >Thad wants you to go to his party! >I mean ewww, you’ve been invited to a normie gathering! >But since he’s begging you to show up, you’ll grace him with your presence >Thad goes to talk with his jock friends “Uzi, hoss you’re alright there?” >”Oh yeah I’m doing great Zen, why are you asking?” “Well ever since that fella came over here you’ve been blushing like crazy! And you have high temp warning on your screen” >You cover you face with your hands >”No I don’t! I’m just…. Running incredibly hot due to all the forbidden power coursing in me! That’s all!” >Emily steps towards you and starts holding you by the face “You overclocked yourself again!? Quick before you overheat….” >You need a moment to convince Emily you didn’t sell your soul by accident again >The bell rings and you return to class >After the school day ends you gather near the entrance >”So, you guys want to head straight for the hideout?” “Sure thing partner” “I can’t wait to see Anon” “Yeah! I really want to check that place out” >You three stop and look at Beau “Uh… bro maybe you should sit this one out?” >“Yeah probably shouldn’t come with us” “What!? Why!?” “Well you shouldn’t be getting in trouble this fast after getting a normal body” “Yeah! And Ma would tear me a new one if she learned I took you outside the bunker” >”Plus you’re too tall for the tunnels” “Come on! That’s rubbish!” “Sorry bro, it’s for your own good” >Beau wants to protest but someone else cuts in before he has a chance “Hey there hunk! Got a second?” >”Piss off Lizzy!” “I’m talking to Beau not you purple” >”Bite me!” “You’re Doll’s friend right? What do you want?” “Yup! And I want to inform you that our good friend Doll invited you to our game night today!” >”He’s not going anywhere with you!” “He can choose for himself purple! And from what I heard you don’t want to hang out with him anyway” >“Welll… why didn’t she come to ask him herself?” “Я хотел это сделать” (I wanted to do that) >You all notice Doll standing right behind Lizzy >Lizzy suddenly looks very nervous “Doll! Why are you here? I told you I’d…” “Почему ты убежала, как только я сказала, что хочу пригласить Беу?” (Why did you run off, when I told you I wanted to invite Beau?) >Lizzy has trouble answering “W-well I wanted to do you a favor! You know, making sure Uzi can’t open old wounds” “Лиззи, пожалуйста, больше так не делай”(Lizzy, please don’t do that again) “I...Ok…” >Beau steps in between them
>>350873 “I’ll go play games with you, sounds fun” “Отлично! Кстати, Узи… ты можешь присоединиться к нам, если хочешь, а также Зен и Эмили.”(Great! By the way, Uzi… you can join us if you want, Zen and Emily too) >”Really?” “Really!? Doll are you…” >Doll shushes Lizzy “Да, на самом деле, я бы предпочёл, чтобы вы были с нами, мы могли бы сыграть в "экстремальную монополию".”(Yes, actually would prefer to have you, we could play extreme monopoly) >Suddenly a look of pure dread comes over Lizzy >Is… she for real? >This has to be some sort of trick >She wants you to lure her into her lair and humiliate you in some way >Yeah it has to be it >But… Something in the back of your mind wants you to say yes >”I… sorry, we have other plans for today” “Ничего страшного, может быть, в следующий раз?”(That’s ok, maybe next time?) >”Uhhh… maybe?” >Doll says goodbye and goes her way >Lizzy stays behind >”Shouldn’t you go with her?” >Lizzy grabs you by your shirts collar and pulls you closer to her “Listen purple, I you’re not meddling in my life, you’re not going to Thad’s party and you’re staying as far away from Doll as possible, or you’ll regret it, really regret it” >You push Lizzy away >”Unhand me you pink wench! I do what I want! And you can bite me!” >Lizzy storms off, pouting and giving you occasional sideways glances “Wow, you two really don’t like each other” >You roll your eyes at Beau “Well, see you guys around and good luck with whatever you’re going to be doing” “Oh Beau! If ma asks….” “Don’t worry sis, I’ll cover for you” >”Thanks Beau” >You sneak into the tunnels and head to your hideout >Time to work an a sick as hell laser gun! >Before you can set up on the table, Emily takes the cover off the DD body >”Ah, right…” >You start digging through your bag >”Here this the filler I was talking about, we should be able to hide those dents…” “Oh no, put me in this body, Anon will fix me” >”Didn’t you say he can’t see you like this?” “After some thinking I decided it would be rude to rob him of an opportunity to show how grateful he is for my love!” >Zen cuts in “And we found a chapter on chassis repair in your book and wanted to try it out” >Emily takes the book out of your bag and opens it >You look at the pages describing the ritual >Looks simple enough >Wow the drone in the last picture looks extremely satisfied with the outcome >You look at your friends >They look back while making puppy eyes >”Ok fine! Just don’t take too long and make sure he doesn’t escape or anything” >Zen and Emily high five and you get ready to move Emily to the DD body >After that they take the container with the filler and a can of polish from a nearby shelf and happily enter Anon’s cell >These two… >Whatever, you can work on your laser gun >Laser gun >Laser gun >Cool frickin laser gun >Oh yeah this baby is almost done! >You’ve been working for a while now >Zen and Emily still haven’t left the cell >Ugh… maybe you should go check on them? >Nah… it’s probably fine >And you only need to connect a few more batteries to make this… >You look at a nearby dark corridor >You swear you feel like something was watching you just a moment before >You return to working on your weapon >That feeling again >Closer…. >You look at the corridor again >Empty… >”Emily? Zen? Is that you? Stop playing pranks and come over here” >… >No answer >Weird >You connect the last battery >Ha it’s done… >You look up from the table >You felt something move nearby you >You look around >Still nothing… >But… >You feel you’re being watched again >You strain you optics looking around you >Nothing >Wait! >No… >You think something… shimmered? In front of you >Probably a glitch in your optics >Whatever, time to test this laser gun! >You set up targets using a few empty cans >Target one! >You squeeze the trigger, a bolt of bright light comes out of the gun and the can is turned to slag >Aha! Awesome… ow owowow >The heat from the gun travels through the hand and to your hand >You drop the gun and wait for it too cool off >While watching the steam rise from the batter block you get that feeling something moved near you again >But this time away from you… >Are you going crazy? >Maybe all those rituals shattered your sanity? >Uzi the mad witch, sounds cool! >The gun should be cold enough to hold now >Maybe you should lower the power just a bit? >You shoot the next can >Only slightly charred… >Maybe if you turn it up a little… >Before you can take the next shot you’re plunged into complete darkness >Did the battery run out? >You charged it! >You start walking towards the fuse box >You feel followed >You raise your gun up and aim it at the darkness around you >You swear you can almost make out a silhouette of something >You reach the fusebox >The main breaker has been tripped >But the fuses look fine… >You flip the main switch >Sure enough the power is back on >But why did… >You hear a metal thunk behind you >You turn around >You see an empty paint can that fell onto the floor >It’s rolling away from the shelf >It suddenly stops >The can starts floating and moving towards the shelf
>>350874 >It stops before reaching it’s destination >You feel a pair of eyes on you >You begin firing your gun while screaming bloody murder >You hit? >Not the can… the thing holding it >You SEE a distorted silhouette >The thing lets out a horrible screech >It throws the can at you >You dodge and continue firing your gun >You hear footsteps >They are getting away from you >You let out a few more shots >They all miss >You… drove that thing away, for now >You run to get Emily and Zen >You open the door to Anon’s cell >You see Zen and Emily laying on the floor >”What did you do to them humie!” “Nothing! I just fixed and shined their chassis!” >Emily starts mumbling something to you “Ohhhh Uzi!~ You need to try this, this felt great!” >”No time! We have a poltergeist loose in the building!” “A polter wha?” >”A ghost is running around the building and throwing stuff at me!” >Zen and Emily look at you like you’re crazy >“Come on move you two!” “Uzi, maybe you should rest a bit?” >The building falls into total darkness again >”Oh… it turned off the power, again” “Oh yeah, there was a power outage, we thought you did something” >”No I didn’t! Now come help me get this fixed!” “Do we have to?” >”YES!” >They roll their eyes and leave the room >Emily squeezes the human for a moment then locks the door >You move slowly, surveying every meter in front of you, gun at the ready “Uzi, relax! Ghosts aren’t real!” “Yeah hoss! This place is just a bit spooky, no shame if it plays tricks on your mind” >”I’m not scared! I know what I saw!” “Well I have night vision on and I don’t see anything, you sure!” >”Yes! Check other optics! Heat signatures, whatever you got there!” “I… uh don’t know how” >You sigh in frustration >You reach the fusebox >It’s broken >It has marks of claws on it >Your friends look a lot more distressed now >You’d act all smug to Emily and Zen for not believing you but you have other problems “What do we do?” >”Well first woah…” >You suddenly find yourself hoisted mid air >You feel as if something is holding you by your midsection >”HELP!” >Emily tries to tackle the thing holding you up >She succeeds and you’re let go >The poltergeist wails again and skitters off somewhere “We should get Anon somewhere safe!” >Not your first priority but good idea >You move back to the cell in a tight formation >You’re taking point >Emily protects your back >And Zen is in the middle due to being unarmed >You jump at shadows and double check every shelf >After you reach the cell, Emily throws Anon over her shoulder “Hey what are you doing!?” >”Shut up! We’re moving you…” >The building shakes >You hear an explosion >Suddenly the pitch dark building is illuminated by the light coming in from a massive hole in the wall >You look at the hole >You see four murder drones >Four very familiar murder drones >And they see you >Oh… the one with the beanie doesn’t look too happy >She bellows in rage “GIVE ME BACK ME TECHIE!” >”RUN!” >You call out to your friends and move as fast as you can towards the hatch leading to the tunnels >Emily unfurls her wings and grabs you and Zen >After that she propels herself towards the exit >You’re about to breathe a sight of relief but the invisible thing slams into Emily mid flight >You all fall to the ground >Emily uses her wings to protect Anon from the fall >You’re laying on the ground >But the hatch is very close! >You get up and help Zen do the same >Emily is already on her pegs >You try to make the final push but you slam into the poltergeist >You feel it grab you again >You struggle as hard as you can but it’s not letting go >You look back >The murder drones are getting close >Emily lashes out with her tail in your direction >The thing drops you and grabs Emily’s tail instead >It’s holding onto it >You try shooting it >It cires out in pain but it’s still holding onto that tail >The murder drones are at most 50 meters away from you, claws ready >Panicked Emily tries charging the poltergeist >She lets out a war cry and gets ready for a shoulder tackle >You hear a shriek >It’s filled with fear >Emily’s tail is free >You use the occasion and dash for the hatch >The murder drones have almost closed the gap the one in the coat is getting ready to pounce at you >All three of you dive into the tunnels, Anon in tow >You try closing the door separating the hatch and the rest of the tunnels >It’s not moving >DAMN THIS RUSTY THINGS >You hear the murder drones move down into the tunnel >Quickly you reach for the lever labeled “Emergency seal” >The small explosive on the door goes off, closing and sealing it >Just in time, after the door closes you hear scratching from the other side “Give him back! Give him back ye whores!” >The clawing continues, and the cries grow louder and louder >The door should hold but you’d prefer not lingering >You slowly move through the tunnels, catching your breath >Zen is limping and supporting herself on one of the walls, she must have damaged her leg while falling down the hatch >Emily has to crawl and drag Anon behind her wit her tail
>>350875 >The humie is not moving, but he is breathing, he must have lost consciousness while you were running >Man that was close >And you lost your hideout >Well… at least you still have your laser gun and your book of… >CRAP! >You left your book there! >And your backpack! >Oh you had your notebook with homework there! Damn it! >You’ll have to do it all over again! >You reach the tunnel exit >Oh wow there is quite a commotion up there >Well you’ll have to wait for it to blow over to get back up >You try to listen to the voices “Sorry Hakim, I know you wanted a private meeting but one of our emergency charges just went off” “Don’t worry, it can wait, what do we do?” “We’re evacuating the tunnels, once everyone is out we’ll send in units with flame throwers to sweep the area” >Ah crap >Wait Emily is a DD now >AH CRAP >Oh this is bad >This is very bad… >You can feel your core sink so low it’s touching your bottomplate and trying to escape through your service hatch >You try to escape into a fantasy of being a core crab thingy and digging tunnels but reality is quickly dragging you back, kicking and screaming >You take a few pained breaths >You know what you have to do >You try to psyche yourself up >Ok Uzi you can do it >You can do it >You place your hand on the ladder up >NO YOU CAN’T DO IT! >But… >This sucks >This sucks so much >You start going up the ladder >Tears on your screen >Oh dad is going to super kill you >He’s going to ground you for long enough that the star this icy planet orbits is going to burn out before you can leave the house again >You reached the top of the ladder >Digital tears roll down your screen like a waterfall screen saver >You begin to slowly slide the manhole cover open >The commotion above you dies down >You remove the cover and pop your head out of the hole >You are greeted by several armed WDF members aiming guns at you >Among them your dad with a pistol to your screen >”H-hi everyone…. Haha” >Dad raises his pistol and gestures to the others to stand down >You can see the rage seething within him >His screen is nothing but a anger emojis >You get out of the tunnel and stand in front of your dad with your arms behind your back >”Hi dad… I… uh….” >Dad responds in a dead calm tone “Uzi, later, your friends are down there, aren’t they?” >”Y-yes” >Hakim pipes up “Oh! Khan this is your daughter right? Nice to meet you! Your dad told me a lot about you! Nice of you that you’re helping with the evacuation” >”Haha, yes… helping…” >Dad rolls his eyes and gestures at the manhole >”Emily, Zen, you can come up now” >First is Zen >She tries to hide her limp but quickly leans on you for support >The way your dad looks at you >You wish looks could kill so this would be over “And where is Emily?” >”She’s coming, but uh… we have someone else with us…” “And who may that beeeeeeee……….” >Dad looks in shock at the manhole >Emily has pushed out the limp and unconscious body of Anon who is now lying on the floor >Everyone looks on in shock >Dad’s jaw hits the floor >Hakim is smiling like this is the best day of his life “U-uzi… i-is that a” >”Human we captured and used to negotiate a ceasefire with the company? Yes!” >Might as well get some brownie points or something >Oh this has the opposite effect >Dad’s eyes are twitching and his screen is glitching >Hakim on the other hand looks like he could kiss you >He walks up to the human and starts listening to his breathing >Once he determines Anon is alive his smile somehow gets wider >Emily popped her head out of the tunnel >Dad shakes his head and walks up to the manhole “Get out of the tunnel” “Uh… Mr Doorman Sir.. I” “OUT! NOW!” “EEEK!” >Emily gets out of the tunnel >Everyone immediately aims their guns at her >Emily raises her hands and starts crying >You run to her and try to defuse the situation >“Woah hey! Emily isn’t going to hurt anybody! She’s on our side!” >Emily vigorously nods her head and tries to hide behind you >The WDF members look unconvinced but dad orders them to lower their weapons >You can see he reached his boiling point “UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” >Oh boy
And done, text wall deposited, I eep now, have fun you guys
>>350865 >still got in Not to mention how (given her teleportation right after) she clearly didn't need the elevator(and keybug by extension, even if she didn't realize it until that point): I'd bet that was her last kill-V gambit and nothing more.
Also: it seemed like her Sentinel "hiding" was smarts, not incapability. Why bother to fight when you can walk right past them? Or even better use them against your enemies! Considering even V (the weakest DD given her jobbery against N + J) took the entire facility on I doubt Doll would do much worse. Add to THAT how Doll never preps for her fights after prom(and only a knife, nothing more practical) and you'll see how a smarter Solver witch could manage exponentially more damage.
And on ignoring walls: >teleport past(seems to require general awareness of an area, so not infallible) >EDIT a hole >SCALE the wall/chunk of ground down, walk past >EDIT an object (any) sharp, spin fast(note you can also do thi with Sentinel-armor since you know how to make it if you're an escapee) >NULL >force-unlock the door(which Doll can do) >rip a hole(with bezerk, DD equalling strength) >copy-paste mining equipment: have work in synch like Doll's knives >copy-paste bombs/weapons(infinite explosive force glitch)
And those are just off the top of my head: the main limiter for a Solver-witch is imagination
>>350881 Phoenix sentinel drones are more about worldbuilding and design, while base sentinel drones are more about the drones and their lives. So you're gonna see a lot of models and makes when it comes to Phoenix's.
>>350879 The fact that she has to use her intellect against sentinels, rather than just a solver, already shows that her solver power is incapable of defeating sentinels, which is not surprising, since they were designed against people like her, among other things.
>the main limiter for a Solver-witch is imagination And the limit. >"A five-meter wall? Pfft, I'll drill through it now." >Three meters away, she's writhing in agony, while all sorts of fleshy parts crawling out of her >Her friends had to kill her out of mercy because they couldn't stand her screams And this is just one wall. How soon will their limits be reached and they'll need oil, which isn't nearby, because because they are all behind walls? That's right, soon. And where will the oil be then? That's right, inside themselves. How soon will the witches, driven mad for just a moment, kill each other? That's right, in that moment.
There are a ton of ways to defend against Doll-level witches, as Doll doesn't have the same unlimited divine powers as Cyn.
>Zeed Slang for a Zombie Drone, originated as shorthand in labs studying them. Not commonly used, someone calling a ZD a 'zeed' generally betrays them having proximity to research personnel.
>Meatcase Derogatory term for disassembly drones, zombie drones, and Solver hosts. Used by drones, humans look dumb if they use the term.
>Murdoid Derogatory slang for a disassembly drone, based off the already-existing slang "murder drone". Origin unknown, presumably from forces opposing them in the War. If 'murder drone' is the soft a, 'murdoid' is the hard r.
>Sauce Slang for solver sapiens. Originally written down as "SoS" and pronounced strangely, likely the result of an ancient inside joke. Rarely used, most favor the term "Keet", which has an unknown origin.

>Bluebeam Sentinel Drones, coined for them being blue, using beam weaponry, and referencing an old conspiracy theory that regained popularity briefly at the onset of the Solver War, under the misguided belief that the Solver was a fake entity designed to destabilize the planet so that it could be conveniently defeated by the faction that would then reform the world under a single government.

>Salonanon(mechs) Badass near-invincible heavy weapons platforms(essentially Harper sentinels but cool big robot). For big robot uppies.

It's just what she used, not what she *has* to use. Remember that even V figured out that glasses make them powerless(and thus able to be squished like the promdrones)
And as for your other note >solver witch fails to drill >second solver witch makes Sentinel-metal drill >effortlessly punches through the(not sentinel metal) walls >or EDITs a hole(which they can do) >or teleports >other witches crack open ANY of the humans/drones in the facility, feed it to their comrade >or uses the boss-witch's reserves(because she came prepared) >or magnets their buddy(till they can get reserves) >all of this assumes NO combat(in which the witches can both get more reserves AND bring their mutants back to sanity)
I think you're underestimating what just one Doll is capable of, much less an army rallied around an even more intelligent leader. One MIGHT be able to detonate the facility before the all get out, but probably not before SOME get out and DEFINITELY not before the whole thing's lost. And while yes there are *some* ways to defend against Doll, there are none/near none to defend against a prepared Doll(besides just overheat and praying)
Post MD themed game knock offs >Bleakest Bunker - Darkest Dungeon >Send your cute drones to die horribly in the Bunker >Watch as they have mental breakdowns 90% of the time >Watch as the Absolute Solver at the center of the planet kills them all and ends the game by voring the olanet and "sparing" you to send to another planet to do the whole thing over again

>>350895 >the Bunker is Calibern >Holly as the ancestor >Gradually realize as you fight your way through rogue Sentinels, solver-witches, and stranger abominations that this is all her fault >find + (potentially) defeat her assimilated body at the Lab's heart >winning doesen't save anyone, DEMANDS, you lose drones, but does at least delay The End for this planet in particular >can choose to submit instead(which saves at least your team + yourself, which gets made into DDs), but is it really worth it?
>>350894 Yeah but that was retardation/instinct on her part: she clearly SAW the flash, the glasses clearly PROTECTED her, and it was only her knocking them off in her haste to turn away that made her vulnerable again.
Jane cutting her famous deal with the AS: what would really happen: >"Deal?" >[Deal.] >Janer turns around >[jk. Stab.] >Janer is impaled by some manner of Solverpede appendage and dies nearly instantly >a bit later, Janer wakes up as one of the already-countless damned souls trapped in the endless living death that is assimilation by the Absolute Solver

>>350914 You can just simulate drone pussy, we have the technology. I am honestly surprised no Anon has simply constructed a Drone fleshlight yet given how easy it would be compared to the Anon whos trying to make Cyn
>L gives you this look as she swallows a worker drone whole in a single gulp >that night she slurps up every sperm cell in your body, rendering you infertile
>>350917 >Of course L being L forgot that Mexican-manufactured drones really don't agree with her internal processing systems. >Your room quickly become a hotbox of black smog and thick pungent ozone cloud as the disassembler soon spent the night on the can trying not to shit herself to death.
Cyn didnt like that >Be Colt >You're currently praying >Why? Simple:You're sister did the most dumbest thing you can imagine >For it all started within the morning. For she ask you if you can invite Hilal over >You ask why and she simply reply with "I wish to give them a gift to make them happy" >You were shocked. Was it over? >Was your sister arc of being a flesh hating racism is finally over >Since after all presents often indicates a sign of peace >So you hit up Hilal and you went about your day as usual >...That's until you came back during the evening to see your aunt Cyn in a Dino onesie with a simple smile on her face? >No....something off. As you see your sister gloating about something >Once you inquire what it was your heart sank. Turns out Akita find a way to remove the not only the private parts of mutants but also remove other things that she deemed "too fleshie" and make them more drone like >No that wasn't the part that made your heart sank. No. Instead it what your aunt said in response >"So you neutered my dog and ruined our 'special Dino night'" >Then that when it hit you. The solver choker. The way she acts around your aunt and vise versa with your aunt. The way they look at each other how she looks at John and Jane >Your aunt formed a deal and or pack with your Dino mutant friend >And she finally let go of the facade >She's livid >And now your back to where you started:praying to God that the ass whopping doesn't leave you crippled
Just realized: Doll teaching Negev how to manage her scary powers means the possibility, maybe even likelihood, of Negev learning that "show someone else your memories" thing Doll used on V in episode 3.
>>350926 >implying the general reaction to finding out what Uzi really is now and has been since she got "God powers" wouldn't be along the lines of "Oh, so that's why she became so tired and withdrawn."
>>350895 >Get a letter from a CEO saying that you're their 67th cousin twenty seven times removed and that they're giving you the deed to a failing mining colony >End up fighting autism satan
>>350934 >"Can't you see how horrible she is? Her TERRIBLE true form?" >"...You're right, it is terrible. Look at all those legs propping up her drone body and holding it like it'll break if she moves it even a little wrong, and then all that's left will be that..." >Negev gets the feeling that this is going the wrong way and hits the drone with the memory of the monster holding her as a pillbaby >She pauses, heart to her chest light >"Oh, she... she knows what you can see, look at her, you can see the pain in her... camera things. It's like she was so afraid that being what she is would keep you from having a normal life, and when you started to panic, she knew that was true. I... I can't look, this is too much." >Negev watches the drone run away, crying >...She could... call mom, right?
