Thread seems to have come pretty late for this controversy.
Afaic this drama is pretty much over. NSA won’t make a response and be made to retire and tournaments continue on with the other hosts, and any new potential hosts will be scrutinized to make sure it isn’t NSA or Numnuts trying to sneak back into roles. And that ends that

Pretty much but since NSA isn't hosting anymore I do want to know what will become of some of the policies that NSA implemented, will they be removed no questions asked, put to vote, or kept in? The most glaring one is results using documents instead of the official forms results, which pretty much everyone seems to agree on wanting gone now. I've also seen a lot of people wanting the /v/ Elite Eight/Winner series limit slot reduction removed as it was implemented without proper permission.
No.106699

>>106696
I admittedly think this is going to vary wildly depending on what the policy is.
The not opening forms shit needs to change and I think everyone including hosts know that, there will be a complete loss of confidence in them if they refuse to.
/v/ Elite 8 might go for a vote but the concept is pretty much standard in every single tournament so I can see that simply not changing
Randomized seeding is a controversial topic and that will go for a vote given that was one of NSA’s personal pet policies to reward or punish characters based on her liking. Honestly should just be changed entirely with no vote
Whitelist will go for a vote, losers bracket and shit probably going away
Don’t know what other ones would be discussed off top of my head

it's a consistency thing, so characters that previously competed wouldn't suddenly get excluded because host interpreted the rules differently
it also works as insurance against hosts maliciously bending the rules to exclude characters, which NSA had a habit of doing. i reckon a lot of the problems over at /v/ could have been avoided if they had a grandfather clause and could say "no, this character was eligible before, you can't exclude them"

Thanks for putting all this out. Wouldn't say there's much in terms of real bombshells here, more just some welcome clarification on your situation and everything else. Glad to hear your health is fine despite prior concerns. Shame you lost access to some host information, but just some reassurance on the recent winners is welcome here.

The Freeza and Trump posts were entertaining, so that just makes you look better if anything. Same thing with the losers' bracket in Mr. /co/ last year. None of these would even count as campaigning either.

Biggest reveal here I'd say in terms of NSA is definitely her being forward on certain decisions, most notably all the original forms not being opened by her decision. It's at least nice to know it wasn't just her checking the results in I presume a majority of cases. Could have been a way bigger issue otherwise.

Doubt Balls is lying about anything regarding his experiences as a host here, otherwise he would have kept silence about the situation. At worst he comes across as forgetful and clueless when it comes to questions anons had for him - I think I should point out that Balls mentions Mr. Boss being left out in favor of Livesey during Mr. /co/ as human error in the pastebin, yet there’s no way for him to know that to begin with because Balls wasn't even a host by that point.
For this reason one thing I don't think we should take for granted is that just because Balls doubts NSA is innocent of rigging it MUST mean she didn't actually rig anything. By her own admission, Ghost/Dominos was a personal friend of NSA who didn't have any suspicions at all about her acting in bad faith before any of this and was confrontational with us about the accusations, and look at the current state of things.

The oddity to me is Balls knowing that Peridot was rigged very specifically exactly 230 times (kwab) but seemingly having zero clue why voter counts for the next tournament were so low generally, or for anything else which they deflect for almost any other character question brought up. While coincidentally enough not having voting sheets because of some meltdown deleting an email which is just an odd response.
Maybe he wasn’t really paying attention for most things and that allowed things to sneak by by but the entire ordeal is just odd and I’m feeling like there’s for sure been instances we don’t know about but won’t be said to not taint characters, while he was direct with Peridot because the fag openly admitted rigging her and is so hated the character is tarnished anyway.

Balls mentions both Curly and Ammy being safe, but didn't Samaritan say at one point they had to argue over the latter, specifically when it was brought up NSA was biased against her? Either way, I think Balls mostly comes across as clumsy but I wouldn't be surprised if he just wasn't paying too much attention a lot of the time. On the other hand, a character getting ballot stuffed with +230 votes is something very easy to remember compared with most instances of rigging, I would guess.

Well if the Jack-off specifically had any rigged votes in its favor, it would have had an adverse effect on AM by extension. It just wouldn't have been AS jarring a problem considering AM likely would have lost anyways to Garland, compared to Frost's thinner wins in QF and SF. If AM had gone against any of the other finalists after the Wesker match and lost then, I'd be more concerned about the legitimacy of him losing. It ended up being a blessing in disguise that AM immediately went against 2022's powerhouse after Wesker, considering what came out later about NSA.

Here's the thing: NSA is kinda transphobic, as she doesn't consider trans girls to be girls.

We've had a few discussions on whether or not to let transgender characters in. I personally don't want them in because of the shitshow they always cause when within the tournament, but NSA really wanted Bridget from Guilty Gear in King just to catch trolls, similar to Peridot. The reason why Madeline from Celeste couldn't compete in Queen is because she's trans. She also thinks Kaine from Nier falls under "trans" because of the male shade, I think?

Combine that with the fact that she might be lying to me, and yeah. It looks bad. A shame, because I really hoped she could help work on my show project.

Well, since Ghost started on this, I might as well elaborate on the bannings.

I saw a lot of people wondering during Queen what was the rationale behind banning Madeline and Kaine. The answer is that NSA didn't do any research on either of them, she was just trigger-happy to ban any character that was funposted enough about being trans in the threads.

I have a feeling that if enough people funposted about ENA being trans in the Ms. /co/ 2022 Qualifiers, NSA would've banned her too. If I may speculate: while I don't know her NSA enough to say if this is about her personal beliefs, I wouldn't be surprised if this was just NSA trying hard to fit in with the edgy 4chan culture.

In the future, I think we should proceed based on who the people in the threads want to see in the bracket (within reason). The reaction to banning Madeline and Kaine seemed to be entirely negative, so if it were just up to me, I'd allow them in the next Queen. Same with King Kong in Mr. /co/. But we'll see what kind of consensus the hosts will reach when we get there.

Pathetic if that’s actually the case. 4chan is a big ass anonymous board, so it’s not like transphobia is some requirement. I’ve directly known people who got no issue with trans people, yet will openly tell you they browse the site. The idea that NSA would be “trying to fit in” by putting on an act here is not only dishonest, but also makes me see her as some newfag who saw 4chan as “that boogieman website” or some shit.

Not Samaritan, but my thought is I’d just keep them as-is right now. Not like there’s that many to realistically cover anyways, especially ones that are explicitly non-binary instead of just of unknown/ambiguous gender. Who do you have that would actually qualify in the former camp? Kris?

Since we're all here I'll corroborate as well. There were many decisions in general on NSA's part that felt murky or lacking background knowledge, and the problem with that was exacerbated by how inflexible she could be. It seemed to me her experience with the controversies in running ms. 2022 had justified a lot of decisions and attitudes to her.

A better evaluation might be who had the most negative effect.
Mr. guy altered a whole half of the bracket in the main inaugural tourney and caused a false runner-up. Ruined cap's character and arguably lowered comic rep status as a whole.
Numbnuts ruined a minor side tourney that was rocky to begin with. Ruined a few characters and probably most responsible for the old rp train /co/ had dying. Justified NSA's power-hold.
Temp almost got main tourney's banned sitewide. Seemingly a fag mods whim though. Maybe further justified NSA's power-hold.
NSA threw a suspicious cast over several main tourneys and tainted a few very popular characters, arguably ruining one (Wesker). Also soft forced some controversial rules and addons, one of which destroyed a QoV climax.

My guess is a good as yours, but I say Ammy seems to attract more spite and funposters compared to other Qo/v/ by mere virtue of err, well, being a wolf. Remember the people from last year who would go on numerous tirades over her being a "Reddit" pick? Hardcore waifufags see an animal defeating the character they hyperfixate upon in the popularity contest and they proceed to get immensely upset, only being able to rationalize such event as a result of contrarianism, and not because just maybe a female character can be beloved for other reasons.

An ISP is what hands out your IP address, and they can view a few things like:
>where the IP is (of course, how do you think we have flags on 4chan?)
>what session you're using (when you're in the browser on 4chan, that's a session just as an example, just google what a web session is)
>probably what cookie you're using (most mods don't care about this but they did single out Barry once if I recall), recently this also changed to "fresh cookies" needing to wait a timer to make threads and post (300 sec and 60 sec separately) probably as spam prevention
And that's the gist of what they could use if they wanted to. Theoretically this should work the same on any website, and they'd probably know even more about you if you click "Yes" to a bunch of cookies.
4chan moderators don't really go through the effort to investigate any of this if they want to find someone, but as I mentioned they did basically taunt Barry on /v/ once. Mostly, they're just handling it like a job tho, so no investigations, just hand out the blanket ban and move on.

NSA appears to not know shit about video games aside from some of the most surface level stuff so ever since we've had to put up with the absolute peak of retarded ideas such as the whitelist and the loser's SHITcket which singlehandedly fucked over the entirety of the mostly fine Queen 2023 finale.

I really do add credibility to what you're saying because Goo doesn't appear to have seeding votes that seem too out of ordinary. Ms. /co/ 2023 seeding votes seem to be consistent with the average Ms. /co/ seeding votes get, which is unlike Mr. /co/ 2023 where it saw votes be comparable to /tnt/'s tag-team and co-op tourneys.
Goo had a total of 136 votes casted for her which is well above the qualifying standard and landed her at 29th seed. The only way NSA or any host had any way of "rigging" Goo is by artificially adding more votes than there really are which we have no evidence or record of them being capable so. We know they're able to remove votes but not add them, which is why Mr. /co/ 2023 is highly suspect of rigging allegations because it saw voting turnouts comparable to fucking /tnt/ tournaments which shouldn't be possible naturally on a mainline tournament.

Goo most likely had a boost from white boy summer as you said, prominent artists like Mahmapuu having gained popularity that year for such art depicting white boys with black women.

To be fair on this one, it does depend a lot on who exactly we're talking about. Do think it's hard to expect any to make it to the end of a tournament, but in terms of general reception there are some that people on the site will still really like on average. Others do get lambasted a ton, with race swaps often being worse than original characters.

Nicole not only for similar reasons to Brisby, but to the point where even she later admitted Nicole shouldn't have been slandered.
Kaine due to her giving no fucks during the last Queen.
Bayonetta and Zim just by proxy of being two very prominent icons whose first Elite Eight runs were tainted by association with OFA.
Wesker for being very tainted now due to her hissy-fit after he lost to AM.
Skeletor debatably due to the cuck art, although that one was at least admittedly funny.

At that point it was over, she's likely aware of this deadline but she's doing the thing we said she should where she just quietly retires and does whatever else on the internet.

>Well you see there are these tournaments on 4chan where we all get together to vote and argue which children's cartoons and video games characters should win. Sometimes we roleplay as these characters and make art with them to get more people to vote for them. Like that one time some guy drew Samurai Jack getting married to Simon from Infinity Train, that was, dare I say, kino. Or that one time Jack Frost from Persona was against Mario and someone drew a picture of Mario and took a shit on it and that got Jack Frost to the finals, that was hilarious. Anyway, NSA drew a dog that's actually a goddess in a muzzle and we didn't like that. She was also pushing and potentially rigging for sme characters and making a lot of art of them, which we decided is dishonest. And we also drew a lot of art of her OC, who we all thought was male, getting raped by various characters, and she got off to it. As you can see, tournaments are very serious business

Balls will be back at least, this is supposed to be temporary, though whether or not he'll be allowed back in for the /v/ tournaments is up in the air, Cumanon got the boot for real though, we're down to 4 permanent hosts right now, and potentially only 3 active ones for Queen and King, with how much time it could take for 5 active hosts to make the threads I wonder if we should be worried right now.

Balls came back in the recent thread in a post so I think he’ll be around.

yes I will be back for queen and king /v/, I wanted to be taken off for the remainder of the round to ensure anons that I wasn't at all rigging
I was very drunk and my buddy wanted to hop on tf2 to try those shitty new maps so I thought fuck it why not, would alt tab to monitor the threads when I died (lol) I thought the greentext was undercooked so I wanted to repost it, maybe it'd generate OC for all those characters but with being drunk, playing a game and all that I didn't take off my trip before reposting it, even though I wasn't campaigning for anyone remaining neutral is top priority (which is funny given how I said this literally a few rounds back can't even follow my own advice)
As for Cumanon/Cumslut I don't think we want him to continue hosting, I'm unsure how much we're saying on this for now but we mean no ill will towards him

Probably not if I had to wager. She can still keep up with the guys without hosting, especially if the tournament-related channels are locked off to only the actual hosts.

I mean mostly from the perspective of potentially being a mole or intelligence risk to NSA or having access to sheets

ghost does not have access to the sheets, even if she had the link she wouldn't be able to view anything
and nsa is totally MIA, none of us have had any contact with her from her last message way back when

Yes. It wasn’t really wrong at the time, but updated this one ASAP upon being reminded.
