Good morning, new thread for drones since last is pretty full already. You know how this goes wawawa Booru of droens: dronebooru.co Wheel for our OCs: wheelofnames.com/8hc-stc Writing prompt wheel: wheelofnames.com/dmz-9uc Last thread: >>86036
>>86924 J is single-handedly raising her daughter while being a big shot at a corporation, which keeps her busy most of the time.
She is afraid that she cannot devote enough time to her daughter, but she is also afraid that alone she will not be able to provide her daughter with a decent life.
>>87072 I know the feel. These threads fried my brain so much that they persuaded me to buy Prototype and Dead Space (which I don't regret in the slightest, these games are awesome).
>>87064 there's a smaller continuation exploring Irma's connection to her dead human mining rescue team in conversing with H but i had to drive my sibling's motorcycle to a workshop lol heat was nice, gonna snack a bit before i finish it.
>>87092 Laziness or maybe, a bit of anxiety is involved? Honestly, I felt the same. You just kinda start little by little, make a tiny 3 sentence funpost then eventually you muster up the courage to write an actual greentext. Or if you don't, you gotta remind yourself if you never do it now, you won't ever do it, even if you think that you'll do it later, you won't, do not miss your shot even if your first attempt is poopy
After seeing TomoeTomoe art of Becca surrounded by humans behind her with her next to the corpse of a Patient(?). I just felt the urge of wanting to write a greentext centered around it
>The hardest thing about being a nurse for Becca wasn’t about the demands of both patients and staff, nor was it the lack of respect that came with being a worker drone. >No, the hardest thing about being a nurse for her has been how involved she has been with her human patients. >Not long ago, a strange sickness had begun to surge through a small group of human workers of the Engineering and Technical Repairs division. >Unlike the common illnesses that the medical personnel and she herself had known. This one however had gone beyond everything that they had previously encountered. >As her colleagues tried to understand this strange new disease, she has been tasked by head doctor Victor West to provide patient care and keep company for the quarantined sick engineers; including patient zero himself. >One such patient was ETRS SM-088, known as “chatter” by his co-workers. >His real name… was Sam MacReady >Out of all the Patients Becca has had, SM-088 was the most talkative of them all. In a positive way she might have added. >Even while sick, Samuel always talked to Becca whenever she checked up on him. Talking to her as though she was a person rather than a lowly worker drone playing dress up. He even went as far to call her a friend. >it felt…nice. Being called a friend. >A part of Becca wanted to lift her guise of obligately following protocols like most drones in the space station would have followed. But doing so would reveal her true nature. >As much as she wanted to, Becca couldn’t risk the possibility of disassembly. Continuing to talk as though she was given pre-programmed prompts. >As the days went on, Sam’s condition had begun to deteriorate at a much rapid rate unlike the others. >SM-088 had begun to throw a fit of violent coughs that began to grow into horrific choking followed by an intense seizure as he spewed out deoxygenated blood from his mouth. >Becca watched as the doctors quickly rushed him to the emergency room with her tailing just behind them. >By the time she was allowed to go into the emergency room it was too late. >She watched as Sam’s vitals signs became Asytol. >She watched as his body spasm one final time. >She watched… She watched her friend die. > >So why was he still alive? >Why did he break free of the gurney’s restraints? >Why was there strange machinery crawling out of his mouth? >Why did he almost attack her? >Becca never knew. All she could ever focus on was the sight of her friend’s lifeless corpse for the second time with his chest blown open by the riot gun shot by security. >It took the worker drone maid not even a second to realize that she was now stained in blood. >At that moment, Becca wanted to scream. To cry. To violently express all of her sorrow at that single moment. >But she couldn't, everyone had her eyes in her direction. The doctors, Security, even some of the other nurses as well. >She couldn’t tell whether She was looking at her or of the corpse that was growing machinery inside of it. >She never knew… but all she can do now is suffer in silence and shut the visual receptors of her visor off so that she can no longer see the dead body >And to hide her pain.
>>87083 he's still in love with B. Irma at this point is still too afraid of B and L, so H kinda serves as a bridge between them and Irma. which results in small situations where there's more opportunity for them to have these conversations. there's like a few posts where i elaborated on what can happen later. >>17177 >>17210 here's the camping stuff >>22480 my approach to the story isn't to change anything major. just to touch on ideas that Liam couldn't get to since he had to keep the series compacted into 8 episodes. with Irma, i wanted to explore ideas of how humans treated drones. especially given she's part of a tightly-knit team, her relationship with humans is a positive one. BHL is kind of the same way but they started off pretty roughly since they were damaged and tossed away by their previous employers before Alan found them. they're on good terms with the Williams but their angle is more the tragedy of becoming the Solver's pawns and how they wrestle moving forward with that. Irma is also long-lived (HAG DRONE) since she'd been active for some years before her team was even on Osmium 4 (and the subsequent virus outbreak that killed all humans roughly 20 years before, i intend to have the timeline to be comparable to the main show). so she's faced with a range of human behaviors and i wanted to play with that idea in small conversations. since i can't storyboard or animate lol >>87026 i LOVE drones. i love the setting. i love the ideas. characters. LOVE. i just don't have enough time or speed to write and draw everything i want to in a short time
>>87101 >i LOVE drones. i love the setting. i love the ideas. characters. LOVE. i just don't have enough time or speed to write and draw everything i want to in a short time
We understand. Even though we are from all corners of the earth, we have almost the same problem: working and household responsibilities takes up too much of our time for us to devote as much as we want to our hobbies and interests.
MG's revenge >"You thought I forgot about you, but I didn't if you can believe me." >"The rest of the world may have forgotten about Gamma, and everybody there who made me into what I am today." >"You all ripped me apart, left me a mangled mess of flesh and filth strewn across that cafeteria floor. Then you all went about your days, never giving that poor marketing guy any mind. You and that man, who scraped me off the ground, and dumped me in the trash." >And then that demon got his hands on me. That beast, Henry. He turned me into a monster." >"You'll never understand what I went through, what he made me do to others, to those I cared about. How I was beaten and broken down, made to follow his will and whim." >"I could've came and went at the company, as any human employee did. Nobody lasts that long at JCJenson." >But what you did, Gamma...you gave me immortality. By killing me, so long ago, you gave me eternal life." >... >"Heck, Gamma, you may be wondering what the hell I'm talking about. Hell, you may not remember me as well as I remember you." >"You may also be wondering why I would holding this grudge after all this time! I mean, look at me now! I have a shop, a good gig, a nice outpost in a world far removed from the cruelty of the R&D labs. I have my mind back, too, I have a pretty good life here, if I do say so myself! What's the point of doing all this?" >"..." >"Well, I'll tell you...and it goes by one simple rule: when you make it to the top, don't forget where you came from. And believe, I wasn't going to forget about you!" >"But now, I'm feeling festive. A little kinder...perhaps a little forgiving, so to say. One to let bygones be bygones." >"Perhaps, I ought to forget you, and all your transgressions against me. Perhaps we all ought to forget." >You want to scream. >You intend to strike out, to rip that bastard apart. >That son of a bitch Marketing guy wanted to take your soul away, what right did he have to moral grandstand above you? Of all people?! >... >"Well, I guess it is hard to get around from where you're standing. You know how I felt now." >"...But quiet down now, Gamma, we have another customer entering the shop!" >You hear a ringing, and the giggle of a young girl. >"OH! Now isn't it Beretta Doorman! My favorite customer!" >"Heya, Mr. G. You got anything new in stock? I'm looking for a birthday gift, y'know?" >A worker drone girl with purple eyes and blonde hair prances into the shop. She sees you, but doesn't notice you. You try to call for her aide to no avail. >"Well, Happy birthday, Beretta! I do in fact have something new for you. My friend over there has been waiting for you!" >MG motions towards you. The girl walks up to you and looks you in the eye inquisitively. >"It's not my birthday, that's on the 23rd...woah...Who is she?" >MG walks up next to her. He looks at you deviously, unseen to the girl. >"She's an old friend of mine...but I've been moving to get past her." >"Hmmm...how are you today? You're kind of pretty," the girl says to you. >She picks you up. She runs her hand through your threaded hair. >"You're free to take her home, you know," MG says. >This can't be happening. >"You sure, Mr. G? For free?" >This isn't how you were meant to go out. >"Call it a gift, for remembering me in these times, but don't make me think too hard on it. She's yours to remember once she's gone from here, after all." >There was supposed to be more. This COULDN'T be the end. >"Shoot, Mr. G. Thanks! This will go great with my collection, next to that Halloween one you gave me!" >He intended to damn you to oblivion for eternity. >That goddamned snake. That swindling, filthy, putrid, goddamn... >If you could've...you should've...YOU SHOULD'VE BURNE-- >Beretta stuffs the plush toy into her backpack without much thought. >"You're always giving these plushies to me, even the expensive antiques. You really trust me to take care of these things forever, don't you, Mr. G?" >MG smiled. >"What else do they deserve, Ms. Doorman?" >The two laughed, and he bid her farewell.
>>87126 A good salesman knows that free samples keep the customers coming back - which is especially convenient when you're out for revenge already anyway I can't imagine Gamma would react well to finding out that her boyfriend is actually a god who's now dating Beretta, though, but them's the breaks when Anon no longer has a purpose for you
>>87143 >Tfw your gf asks you if you would still love her if she was a worm or a plush or something >Like, for fucks sake, sure, whatever >Geez, chill, it's not like that's ever going to happen anyway >Women and their goofy hypotheticals
Trying to draw the final outfit request with Ivory and yet I can't bring myself to actually grab the fucking stylus. I've been sitting on my ass all day and yet I feel so darn exhausted FUCK. Why am I such a lazy piece of shit...
>>87150 >>87151 Duality of man Either way, I've been feeling like this for months, I've completely lost the passion for drawing after realizing that I will never be able to actually make something out of it that's worthwhile. Besides, it's not fun either.
>>87155 You can't force passion, it's probably best to take a break then If inspiration strikes you might revisit it but with a new perspective - sometimes taking a step back is the best way to take a step forward
>>87155 I don't know, many here like your drawings, me included, that you can't change, but if it's not fun nor it comes out of passion, there is not much you can do. Sounds like you are already suffering from burnout, I recommend taking a little break, you sound like you need some rest before continuing, hope you feel better soon, and find it enjoyable.
>It is the days of the Solver War >Humanity is desperately throwing cheap fodder at the Solver to tarpit it while the eggheads way at the back are working on acquiring the technological edge >As a result of cutting costs and expediting production times, the factories are churning out midget Grunt Drones >Anon #1 is overlooking a stretch of land littered with twisted metal >Everything is quiet. A sharp contrast to a few minutes ago >He takes a pack of cigarettes out from his pocket and lights one >The centuries long ban on smoking and walking with your hands in your pockets has been temporarily lifted to give people some stress relief >He stares out into the open >Anon #2 approaches him >"Heeey!" he waves from the distance >#1 doesn't wave back >Not because he is rude but because "Heeey!" is short for "Heeey, don't shoot me!" >He reaches him and throws his weight down next to where #1 is sitting >"Where's your Grunts, bro?" he asks >The tip of the cigarette glows as #1 sucks smoke in and then exhales it >"What do you think of Grunt Drones?" #1 asks his mate >"I think they have asses, know what I mean? They don't call them Cheekies for nothing! Hue hue hue." >"I think they are like children." >This makes #2 uncomfortable over what he just said >"They are cheerful, obedient, and eager to please" #1 continues. "When you talk, they listen. They are like well-behaved children in midgets' bodies. And we're sending them to war." >All this reflection makes #2 uncomfortable. Primarily because his reflection is ugly >Not that his features are particularly bad or anything. It has more to do with the ugliness of his inherent human nature >Reflection leads to self-awareness, and people can't handle that >People who become self-aware either descend into philosophy or kill themselves >"So umm, where *are* your Grunts?" he asks to snap the conversation back to comfortable territory >#1 says nothing >Instead he takes the cigarette out of his mouth and makes a swipping motion across the field >Then he puts the cigarette back in his mouth >"All of them?" >"All of them." >#2 isn't shaken by the realization that this is where all the twisted metal came from >Grunts exist to be massacred. The only difference now is that automation replaced humans with machines >"Have you ever watched Willow?" #1 asks >"No. I don't think so." >"There's this race of midgets in Willow. They live in their midget village and have midget warriors and midget village bicycles and stuff. The Grunt Drones remind me of them. It was like watching Willow's midget village getting massacred." >#1 bursts out laughing >#2 is worried that his buddy may have lost it but upon studying his red, distorted face he finds nothing but honest amusement >"Oh mate! You should had been here for it! The Grunts went *boom* waaaah! And the squad leaders went "scatter!" And they did and more exploded! The retards were in a freakin' minefield!" >#2 explodes into laughter too >"And-and you know what the real kicker is? It was ours! Unmarked!" >"Har har har! This takes the biscuit!" howls #2 >"Yeah! Fucking retards! One exploded, it's head flew into the air, fell to the ground, and it exploded too! Another was like "Medic! Medic! My friend is dying!" and I was like "You are robots, retard."" >The two men spent some time indulging in the humourous situation while waiting for replacement drones >Meanwhile a general, son of a rich family, is inspecting a battlefield screen back in the safety of the regional HQ >The map shows two human lifesigns in the middle of nowhere and a multitude of winged skull icons approaching them >The general laughs >"Lol, retards."
>could have just made Doll leave her mind palace and reunite with Lizzy as a ghost >lets her use her body for the reunion instead Uzi's becoming a good friend.
>>87161 >"how'd those little idiots even end up in one of our own minefields?" snickered #2, "too stupid to read the maps the CO dumped into their thick little skulls?" >"that's the best part!" #1 chuckled through puffs of smoke, clapping a hand to his comrade's shoulder >"see that hill?" with one hand he directed #2's attention to a slight incline at the other end of the debris field >"I told them there was an injured rifleman juuust over the ridge." >the two men giggled like schoolboys pulling a rude prank >"and did they complain? did they dare to question their mighty human superior?" #1 intoned, gesturing proudly to himself >#2 laughed, "they just waddled on in–" >"they just waddled their dumpy little asses right in!" #1 exclaimed >the two burst into raucous laughter >#2 was nearly doubled over, wiping tears from his eyes. "aha-hahhh, at least they're good minesweepers" >#1 shot him a wicked grin "the best! why else would I have requested another platoon of the things?"
How much worse would a bite from a drone with sharp teeth be compared to one with the 'smooth teeth of normal WDs? Why did they give them so much power in the first place?
>>87190 it could also just be that they only needed to make one model so they could also be used for customer-facing jobs where a somewhat friendly face would be useful
>>80968 >After you sigh, you agree to letting Avre teach you the basics. Whatever those are. Avre abruptly grabs your head like it was a ball before shoving her somehow sleep deprived eyes right in your face. Her tone is inexplicably more nervous than it was 5 seconds ago >“OKAY, OPEN THE MENU!” >You tilt your head at her, to which she backs away with a deep breath. Her tone is calmer but it feels like she’s forcing it. >“Whew… What I meant to say is “Focus on opening your menu. Just picture a selection for a moment and it should pop up.” >You follow her instructions and sure enough, a menu pops up on your visor. It’s got a few drop down menus, as well as a lot of names for stuff you don’t know about, and your selection seems to be operated by your peripheral vision in some strange sense. Like you’re guiding it with your eyes. >“Alright, now select something. Just kinda focus on it for a second” >You focus on “Plasma Saber” for a second, and your hand abruptly begins to fold in on itself, along with parts of your forearm. A blade, curved at the end, begins to come out of the folded hand. You’re kind of startled by this, but it isn’t hurting you or anything, meaning you should be okay. You inspect the weapon, wondering how to use it. Avre interjects >“Look, try to feel your fingers in there. I know that sounds weird but you gotta try, boyo. It’s how you operate it.” >You do what she just said, and and the moment you move what feels like it should be your pointer finger, the blade lights up blue and begins to crackle like an exposed wire, the rain visibly evaporating on its surface. Suffice to say, it’s a little freaky. You absentmindedly swing it, gouging a chunk out of a nearby rock. You turn to Avre, who nods in approval. >“Okay, now practice a bit with that and then do that with the rest of your stuff. Because IIII am going back in my LOG!” >Before you can do anything, Avre gets on the ground and scurries back into the log she just came out of, like some kind of small animal. You try to reach out for her, but she refuses to come out. Once again, you sigh. This is going to take a lot of effort, isn’t it? 33/?
>>87191 Potentially amazing if there are whites left, hell if there aren't. Not because whites make everything better but because the things it will take for whites to exist a thousand years from now would usher in a golden age for humanity.
>>87195 Of course white people still exist. A thousand years from now, shit's like Brazil: everyone's so intermixed that genetics as we understand them now stopped working and anyone can have any combination of traits from any race. Katie, the cell phone bitch from the gala, was actually a blonde haired blasian whose biological parents were both whiter than white.
>>87197 Consider the things killing whites nowadays. The artificial division, the price inflation on everything, the killing of the culture, the supression of ideas, the fake morality, the tanked birth rates. Imagine if the entire humanity didn't have to deal with all that crap. It would bring about a golden age.
>>87203 In MD there are neither niggers or jews left, but probably stop the discussion before someone loses it or thread devolves into shitflinging soon , it always happens
>>87201 I legit think the future of humanity is mystery meat. If you have distinct colours in the future then some radical social changes have taken place.
>>87196 Bloodplay creeps me out. Blood is a sacred thing. It is life-giving. If it is leaking out then there is danger around, someone's life is ebbing away and there is an infection in progress. That scene in the Pink Floyd movie with the blood draining into the sewer disturbed me deeply as a kid. What is the appeal of bloodplay anyway?
>>87221 FUCK YEAH MOTHERFUCKER! MATURE WOMEN FOR DAYS!
>>87219 if you idiots started arguing over whether N wants to cut his dick off and call himself a lady and went on a tangent about neovaginas I'd tell you to fuck off too
>>87226 It's basically vampire kink (but the vampires are robots). The idea of someone holding onto you while biting onto your neck and drinking your blood is both terrifying yet oddly arousing. It's a human thing, really.
>>87231 The NPC agrees to teach you the Bucket Technique if you bring him a bucket. But in true RPG fashion the bucket is on a rooftop above him that you gain access to after defeating the entire Black Knight Rebellion that has taken over the city and unlocked a shortcut that leads to the rooftop.
>>87226 >What is the appeal of bloodplay anyway? For me is the trust you give, to know that you are completely trusting a DD enough to let them satiate their need, but without them taking enough to harm you, is a level of trusting that DD with your whole heart, technically and literally, giving them all your trust to the point you are willing to be at your most vulnerable. I find it cute, relaxing and beautiful to be put in a history where a DD is trusted enough to do this.
>>87249 >USA was not the first to conquer a planet >JCJenson wasn't the first to make a mining planet >It was the British >They were the first to conquer a whole planet >All to make it a plantation for tea >Yes, the whole planet
>>87254 I remember the whole reverse-bloodplay thing spawned the GET SOLVERED posts which also spawned SolverAnon with him having Uzi, Doll and Cyn inside of his head after getting solvered.
>>87248 Copper-9 appears to be the furthest habitable system from Earth. Using Proxima Centauri's distance to Earth as a measurement, Copper-9 is around 35 light years away. Within 50 light years, there are approximately 90 planets they can explore. Most would be too uninhabitable to colonize of course, but they could still serve as small mining outposts.
>>87263 I mean as far as I remember, reverse-bloodplay basically revolved around a drone, a solver host or a DD, cutting themselves and forcing you to drink their nanite blood.
>>87262 We know that probably they do not have faster than light travel, so there is a big possibility that, if they conquered all 90 planets for many purposes, humanity has taken years to take each one, I wonder how much humanity has worked to use every planet at its disposal, even when we just take a realistic 1/10 of planets are useful in some way, that would still be a lot of time they had to invest to use them Now I really wonder all the technological advances of humanity had to go through, imagine the tech industry, the space industry, mining industry, the farming, the medical, everything, amazing
>>87267 I mean, it has been over 1000 years since the 21st century, I'd say there's time to spare. And it's not like they're terraforming all the planets either, just using them as small mining places while more viable systems like Proxima, Platinum, and Copper get the resources to make habitable.
>>87243 >be you >act like an inflammatory faggot >get called out for acting like an inflammatory faggot >"Gay people amirite lol" I couldn't give less of a shit about your '''politics''' anon. If you wanna act like a faggot then you're gonna be treated like a faggot
>>87281 Fine, here's something to dream about. Humanity sent out tens of spaceships manned by drones into the void that travelled for hundreds of years in sublight speed. Of them six reached their destination. The drones build relays in the systems that allow for near-instantaneous travel. Earth then expelled it's excess population that was dwelling in mega cities into the new colonies and worked to return the homeworld into a more natural state. The pods we see in the series travel through those relays. Cyn faked JCJ technician credentials to move around because space technicians are necessary for the maintainance of the network.
>>87303 I see where you're coming from with giving obscure characters more love. My thinking is "I like this thing. More of this thing that I like". I want more of the animatez Harper Mercurialmorose drew in particular.
>>87296 Negev Lilblucat's fankids The DD cores from that fic Remmy Stacy Luka Carl Germy S. Winterspoon Emily's parents Tessa Doorman (she's new and I already have a MIGHTY NEED! for more of her)
>>87310 >Germy S. Winterspoon The objectively correct answer Nothing bad ever happens to him, despite it all Maybe some of his good fortune would rub off on Carl if they were buddies
>>87285 >>87291 I remember when we thought 7 would be 30 minutes at least, and the flashback could easily be half of it or 10 minutes. Even showing Yori, Neva and Alice back then, man what could have been
>>87320 Fankid from end of last thread, a usurper who takes Uzi's place born to J (sent back in time like a Terminator to stop Uzi from being born) and the traitorous Khan Doorman
>>87292 That's a neat idea. Combined with the approx 100 planets this can be a cool way to explain why Cyn got to the main planets so fast but struggles to traverse the lesser systems now fortified from the Solver War.
>>87328 Still say she needs to be supplemented by a Nori/Teacher fankid from the same timeline. A girl who's like Lizzy if she was raised by Nori, and also had eldritch 3D modeling tool magic. Perfect friend for a smart but rude and moody disabled girl.
>>87335 >>87328 Well, disabled until she overcomes her embarrassment over not having feet. Big moment, the reveal that once the boots she's taped to her pegs go her balance issues disappear.
>>87332 >Anon did not like this answer >He decided it would be best to cut her from that timeline and remake it as a slice of life extravaganza >And ship himself with her, of course >Yes, that'd do nicely
>>87336 I can relate. But at the end of the day legitimate reasons are as good as excuses. Either you achieve it or you don't. Are you going to give it a try?
I kinda wanna see Sophie being fucked by various kinds of creatures big and small. My headcanon is that she keeps herself in top condition so she can survive her own sex life.
>>87355 >implying ethan would love the fact that he’s mother abandoned him >so she can get pregnant with other random people in the galaxy the landmine should have just killed sophie
Come to think of it, would not be surprised if DDs have links to the Solver's vore demon internal Pain Dimension and Uzi has Doll's parents in her mind palace now.
listen to me big tastefully fat male drone and a short female drone yeah, I know this sounds like the ugly bastard route, but they both enjoy their lives
>>87404 >>87400 honestly that artist does a good job with keeping them consistently cute, the OTHER artist (aka, the one i think who first drew them), bit on the weird end with em.
I dont hate em, I just treat them neutral, like oogis, who im not really the biggest fan of but do make some half decent green material every now and then
>>87437 >Sophie has so many STDs they can jump from biological to mechanical machines Sophie is the source of the Flood. Or the Mutalist Infestation. Very based lore, can't believe Alad V is not a virgin
>>87461 Every anons die, we just sometime copy their mind and erasing their memory of their gruesome death and after that we eat their original corpse for nutrients
>>87461 >The other fragments of Anon watch as their horny sibling continually bangs Sophie and then dies He... does know he could write it so he doesn't die, right? I guess he enjoys it? >They are all disappointed in him (and therefore themselves)
>>87493 I think the signs are pointing to one thing, we have to send our work report back in time, lizzy said we should have done it yesterday, but we didn’t, time is of the essence
>>87505 Good, I guess? I got a Lizzy, she was acting all bratty, then an Anon told me it was because she wanted to fuck me, I asked her about that, she confirmed, so that Anon was on the money, so now I'm going to do it, I guess
