Good day, Friends! Let's continue the talk about MD, Disassembly Drones, Worker Drones, and the Series in general. We can talk about anything you find interesting, MD or Thread related, as always. Let's show our love for MD. I hope you are having a nice day Friend. The incredible Booru: https://dronebooru.co
My "fringe" theory that J was consciously working for it got more plausible. If J doesn't do a heel-face turn then yeah, she's dead. The thumbnail implies it might even be at the hands of Solver-chan.
>>17021 The core doesn't seem to be Solver-controlled given that it's showing emotion, unless the Solver decides to be a real cunt and lets J have autonomy in that form just to make killing her worse. So that means it's either N or V, and there's no sign of V in this trailer (though she is supposed to be dead to the viewer).
>>17022 exactly > don't show V actually dying > knows nobody is going to buy it > brings her back, as expected > WHAM, actually kills her off, on screen, with the established '100% dead as hell' method
>>17022 >unless the Solver decides to be a real cunt and lets J have autonomy in that form just to make killing her worse Can't be ruled out, the Solver is mean as all Hell, but for some reason my gut is saying N or V as well.
>>17029 The show ends. People have nothing new to discuss. Contentfags slowly move to other things. People drift away. Eventually even the diehards who have parasocial relationships with the fandom leave for other fandoms because they are lonely.
>>16939 Maybe they don't have access to the better stuff by default? For the first half J will use her regular stuff, until she gets a call from "Tessa" that says she's authorizing her to use more advanced weapons. Or something like that.
>>17030 I can only speak for myself of course, but so long as there's even a hint of content still being made or discussion being talked about I'll still be sticking around There's still plenty of things left to be done with the Booru after all!
>>17033 People will move on -eventually-. That's just the inexorable march of time. The series finale isn't going to completely kill everything overnight, there's still a bit of fun to be had yet.
>Liam decides to have Tessa go on the route of the Internecion Cube >So Tessa doesn't get turned into a flesh puppet, but becomes "one" with the Solver, gaining it's powers and a bit of it's personality. How would this change Murder Drones?
>>17031 She might have better stuff by default since she was the leader of the trio. That said, we also see her being more strategic with her use of weapons due to her deploying an EMP in the Pilot and now this BFG.
>>17044 True. If you're going to give the candy weaponry to anyone it's going to be the mindlessly loyal drone who slaps down anyone who deviates from the assigned task with the force of a thousand white-collar middle managers.
>>17038 As awesome as it would be to have a spinoff set in the same universe, I honestly wouldn't have any hard feelings towards Liam Vickers if he genuinely wants to definitively conclude Murder Drones & move on to something else
>>17046 She's mostly timid around humans or authority figures due to fear. She's just a huge coward. A lot of her personality and confidence/cowardice depends on her perceived power dynamics. If you were to drop Uzi's railgun into her hands she would go on a massive edgy powertrip with it, becoming incredibly overconfident and thinking she's invincible. Only for her delusions to collapse once she realizes that it can only be fired once every half hour, and now she's in deep shit. She would make a great Disassembly drone. But the Solver would have to do some memory fuckery with her, because while she'd be eager to kill humans, she'd be less happy to kill other drones.
>>17057 I should also mention that she's never once left the JCJ corporate offices. She's seen things in pictures, videos/TV and through windows on the building. But she's never actually been anywhere else or done much of anything other than office work. So anywhere outside would be both new and exciting and scary for her.
>>17065 Oh, it's coming along nicely. Just writing it as I go and check in on here. I'll reply to one of your messages once I make it since I enjoy writing for others so long as they also enjoy it.
>>17055 >Be nice to Elf and encourage her a lot, treat her as an equal >She eventually realizes you're something of a wet blanket and she's much stronger than you But I'm sure she'd value your kindness and not abuse you for catharsis.
>>17065 >It's nearly time to take off! >After waking up in the twilight hours of the day to get your breakfast and make your way through the dizzying bureaucracy that is airport security, you're finally in your first class seat. >The bonus is that those first class seats---the one you paid $1000 for---don't allow drones to sit in them. >Now, you're no drone hater. But, your job sure has made it hard to look one in the eye, much less sit next to one for days on end in the already semi-uncomfortable flight. >You don't want to think about that though. All you want to think about is that you're in the back of the first class cabin and nobody else booked a seat next to you. >Your one working eye remains fixated on the aisle next to you. The few people who hadn't boarded who are now passing through to the next cabins return curious gazes when they see your black eyepatch. >It takes you a second to realize why they're glancing at you so much but, when you do, you stop. >Until a blue light reflects off the freshly shined steel floor of the JcJenson company aircraft. >You look up. >A Worker stands there. There's no one behind them, and no footsteps can be heard coming from the boarding tunnel behind them, so they must be the last flier. >They look at their boarding ticket to make sure they have the right seat. A second later, they (who you now realize is a she) sits next to you. >The flight soon takes off, and, as quickly as you were immersed in the boundary-breaking idea of a *Worker* boarding in first class, you soon sink all your attention into the new portable Switch Deluxe 31st Century Edition you bought for yourself. Your job may have been scarring at times, but a touch of regret and a pinch of atrocities here and there was easily made up for by the generous pay. >At least, that's what you told yourself to sleep easy at night. >Speaking of, it was night. You only realized it after completing every short game you'd bought for your Switch by peering out the window to your left and seeing that you're now over the ocean and it's pitch black out. >You turn to your right to see the blue-eyed Worker staring straight ahead. She doesn't even bat an eye at you, and that's perfectly alright. You were always the quiet type. Never spoke to others if you weren't the one being spoken to. But, you always hated it when people acted like you had no backbone. >Your job's primary description practically had backbone written all over it, so who were they to judge? >You suppose that with such a quiet drone next to you that it wouldn't be a problem to sleep next to her and worry about being pranked or stolen from. >You close your eyes slowly. >Slowly, you drift off to sleep. >Now that the first class cabin is nearly pitch black, the blue hue of the worker's eyes are oddly soothing. The mechanical whirring of her fans makes for pleasant white noise to drift further asleep to. >You almost wish you had this level of comfort to sleep to until the plane starts riding as bumpy as a twisting rollercoaster. >The human passengers around you awake, grunt, and moan alike, but the Worker next to you *shrieks*. >Your eyes widen and you look over to her to see blue digital sweat icons rapidly falling down her visor, disappearing past her visor's horizon. >"Hey," you tell her. "Are you alright? It's just a bit of turbulence." >The sweat icons fall down more quickly. Her eyes hollow and widen as the plane starts bumping again, and again, and again, and eventually, another shriek comes. >You rest your head against your seat, looking up at the ceiling while hoping this is all just a bad dream and that you're actually sound asleep right now. >When the sound of sputtering and an ear-shattering explosion clamors just outside your plane window, you open it. >You're met with the sight of sparks of flame waning on the edge of the plane's wing. Then, you see those same sparks rapidly grow and consume the wing, blackening it like roasted chicken. >Now, you were *really* hoping this was all a bad nightmare. Between the shrieking Worker next to you, the turbulence, and the prospect of your goose literally being cooked down to the ground.

I'm open to some criticism and such but this is mostly just a setup for a sort of stranded island green I suppose between this human OC Jack and the worker OC Elf.
>J ends up doing the right thing and being damn effective at it once she realizes what is going on >It is revealed that the Solver would had been combatted more effectively and more drones would had survived if Uzi hadn't killed J in the pilot

>>17078 >Get flashed by J's giant pair of jiggling mammary adapters >Meekly threaten to file with HR about it >"Nobody's ever going to believe you, idiot!"
>>16893 Sorry for late reply, didn't see it immediately Thanks bro, but that was before the news hit, I'm not getting anything done this night anymore, I drank way too much in desperation, now I have headache, you'll see tomorrow, and I believe you recognized me correctly, once more I hope things better in your area, goodnight
Well, time sure slipped my grasp. But I'm glad there's still a bit of time to get that big piece done for the thread later, since episode 8 scheduled to release on August 23. Been away for a while because of some serious writing block, couldn't think of what to write and I feel like if I wasn't bringing anything to the table, I should keep my head down and figure things out. I hope everyone's been doing better than I have. If there's some new OC stuff that I've missed, please let me know. I honestly don't know what to do with BHL's story because they were first OCs for fun, but my stupid ass had to start writing stuff out of nowhere and run into a block because I'm not a good writer to begin with. Maybe I could go back to that for starters..
>>17093 Tf you even mean? Do you want it to be over? Are you the fag who once said having hope that's eventually in vain is too harsh so you should always doom?
>>17097 I can't really think of anything, I've lost track of time but here's this >New OC called Elf >OCs That The Thread Can Use: T, JC, Tepes >Beretta's creator returned and said you could do your own spins on the character and you shouldn't feel afraid to do so
>>17098 Understandable, I'd do similiar but only to see if there's hope (not Nfag btw), not to enjoy it in a way, assuming that's what you meant. But, wouldn't knowing he is gone in canon be hard to take? Maybe it is different if you can write AND draw (assuming you are who I tgink you are), but at least I and I'm sure you too often think about the fav everyday, suffering of different degeee give or take, knowing they are dead 100% would probably give at least short depression to me, do you think you could deal with the knowledge? the post sounds weird, to me at least, what I mean is basically, given your ability to enjoy Nsuffering and to create OC, would his canon death still be a big thing at all?
Though the series might be reaching its apotheosis soon, I have the hope that this community will not die. If there are only 3 people left here greenposting and artposting, I will be one of the greenposters.
>>17106 Honestly even if there's no chance of a sequel or spin-off of some kind happening, as long as Liam's given some vague idea that it could I'll pretty much never stop hoping for it. I don't care if that's delusional, I love this setting too much to let go.
>>17109 Blogpost I'll delete once I wake up or so Showed this to my brother today and know what he said?
"The mouths look like digital circus" I did not expect THAT, I don't think he even watched it but it is too close for comfort, no idea how he recognized it, seeing how the last time I shoewd him Alice he thought it was a frog. It's possibly a blogpost, but in case he founds out what it's from I'm cooked, hope he forgets. Furthermore he meant it looked "paw-patrol-ass"
Image:172265572080.jpg(2.29MB, 2992x2192)self reminder for project.jpg
>>17097 It'll be like the giga plush collection, but just a smidge bigger. I imagine too big for /co/ prime (probably have to use catbox) but hopefully not too big for plus. My knowledge of thread OCs is limited to the plush collection, so if you want in, post your OCs here.
>>17112 She would not have expected it, I'd say very surprised for sure. Yeah she was kinda rude to Beau but that was after Uzi bit her and Alice wasn't chill to anyone after that, bedire it happened she wasn't hostile to him and in the end he was the only interaction for about 2 decades, seeing him die would be shocking. Not sure what she would have done immediately, still have used the EMP or sayed hidden, no way to tell exactly tonight anymore, good scenario tho thanks for it
>>17108 Jack has a few things he does as a drone bounty hunter:
1. Hunts down runaway drones and returns them to their owners. 2. Has the right to restrain or kill other humans and drones who try getting in the way of him and his target. 3. This usually leads to him having to fight at least one or two scrappers every time he's tracking down runaways.
Jack lost his eye not from bounty hunting but an earlier childhood incident. The only reason he hasn't gotten it returned though is he is extremely frugal with his money.
>>17117 (me) Then again, I do also have Buckety. I know the thread though prefers her just being a bucket but I really do love this design. Wish I knew who made this design
>>17114 (I've made a mistake in my replies.) But here is the ref of my gal, plus I've drawn some turnarounds in case I wanted to comm a custom plush of her, but that would be in the future!
Image:172265873111.png(420kB, 1196x1546)Screenshot 2024-08-03 at 00-18-05 AJ DiSpirito on X I can’t stress enough how insane the Murder Drones finale is. The opportunity I’ve been given with the music… it’s everything I’ve ever wanted to do with music an[...].png
>>17131 They said that about episode 7 and it wasn't really true there either tbh. This is called advertising anon, EVERY episode is "the very best animation, writing, and music eva PLEASE WATCH PLEASE"
>>17132 I don't have a super complex story for her than she's just a WD for a factory that manufactures guns and machines for work (But for the fun and silly stuff, she works at a warehouse that manufactures N models for JcJenson) She's in charge of maintaining the factory in peak condition, repairing, building, and destroying. She has that strength that lets her carry an ANZIO 20 MM like it is nothing. She only follows orders from a machine that tells her to keep the factory safe and report any unwanted visitors. Plus she's a Texan drone and loves old sci-fi movies.
Idk, I find it also fun that anons fill out the small spaces of the character and add fun bits to her
>>17114 Might try throwing Avre in: I need to work on her & SalonAnon's story more and do more drawings, but im currently in the middle of a move so time is limited besides mornings
>>17088 I just interpreted that to mean that he has a design doc tucked away somewhere with more stories that he could sell to someone else or be adapted to books/comics/etc.
You know for a new trailer coming out this has been a beyond slow day is everything okay drone bros or are we experiencing mass suicides from the series finale announcement after months of season 2 coping?
>and then Glitch rushed the ending of Murder Drones because they wanted to milk TADC asap, leaving the show in a forgotten void in the same way they did with Meta Runner.
>>17160 How does that change them rushing the ending to milk TADC and leaving MD in the forgotten void until they need to use a N chibi to sell more glitch inn
>>17148 Nah, I'm trying to write the 2nd part of the Jack and Elf green. I just have a bad headache so I've been slowly chipping at it for the past hours.
>>17164 I never will, Liam has just been cooking top notch meals for episodes nearly every time. With as much time as E8 was given to stew, I expect some absolutely beautiful stuff
>>17171 Alright I predicted Nori still being alive so here's my predictions >Uzi is inside of The Solver, there she'll find the Mansion from Earth still intact so the basement key is important >Uzi mind hacks Cyn like she did with N's memories >V is still alive >J discovers the truth and tries to fight back but is punished with a reebot due to The Solver still being her admin >Beretta Cameo/Tease at the end [Real]
>>17173 Is that all you can say? You just keep endlessly posting fuck in reply to everything. Go ahead and start venting, tell us your doomposting or some shit
>>17097 For whatever it's worth, I think the Osmium Squad has a pretty interesting story to them. One of my favorite parts of watching the show has been the gradual unpacking of the mystery of what a disassembly drone really is and where they actually come from, and so permutations of the idea really get me going. >What would happen if there wasn't an Alice in the mix kneecapping DD cores before they could start going Solverpede >What would a full squad of DD's, fully believing they're just corporate employees, do when confronted with a Solverpede? >And evidence that they're just the latest wave of cannon fodder >And that what they believe really doesn't hold water at all? It's good stuff. As for what to do with their story, at least in terms of inter-character relationships: >At some point L and Irma's relationship needs to advance beyond L being bad at asking out because she's horny but awkward but plagued by predatory instinct but she really wants to have a meaningful relationship >Likewise H needs to advance beyond just pining for B and reminiscing about better days. He knows what's up while the others don't, and eventually he needs to share that information with the others
>>17184 I might get over my fear of physical merchandise and buy a little N if he survives. But I don't want to look at his little smiling face and have my brain go "he's fucking dead", so he has to pull through.
>>17181 It's probably going to explode, but I'd like to see that too. I'd imagine Beretta's conclusion is her graduating from High School and through a series of events comes to terms with how her family is trying their best, she doesn't need to entirely forgive them but she can atleast find peace with them
>>17153 I honestly thought they'd do TADC 3 if not 4 before MD 8. At this rate, they'll only have had one - two additional (assuming TADC 3 in October) episodes within the one-year anniversary of the pilot releasing, which isn't a quick enough cadence for something that's heavily leveraging internet popularity to produce a lot of casual viewers who might be converted into series regulars. MD has a more established fandom, and could more easily wait. >rushed MD Nah. The pacing was consistent, and so they had to decide on 8 eps from the start. The only question was whether in 2021-22 they had thought about keeping the possibility of another season open.
>>17172 I'm betting that those DD cores loosed from Alice's oven will factor in somewhat. Since they're all still presumably under the Solver's control, Cynwalker now has an army of monsters to back her up.
What if... This is only the end of the Glitch series, and Liam will continue it by himself afterwards? This is what he meant by "certainly always more to tell in this world".
>>17114 >My knowledge of thread OCs is limited to the plush collection, so if you want in, post your OCs here. Ye got it. My two other main OCs (W and 13) are already in the plush image, so I'll just post my current main OCs. Good morning btw.
>>17177 >spoiler Yeah, there were ideas, but again I'm not a good writer to plot them out at a good pace. Since I'm not likely going to finish them before episode 8 drops, I might as well let them out of my head, maybe it'll help with the pressure lol >at Irma's current outpost >the worker drones there are a bit afraid of her but B has already assured Irma and the others that they're no longer pursuing their mission objective >they're also fearful for their lower halves since L is ferocious to single drones she's managed to mingle with >L has been rebuffed several times by Irma at this point (though she does have a lot of work at hand) >L doesn't know when to quit though >when Irma's returning to her living quarters from work, L bumps into her and gives chase >only for Ophelia to open the door (since Irma's her adoptive family now) >Ophelia is gripped by terror, L is frozen by the flashes of the human she used to care for >Irma's not sure what to make of it before L flees the scene >the medic realizes there's something between Ophelia and L which she decided against asking about when she first found the small worker drone >Irma then finds out what happened to Ophelia's parents, tries to comfort her since her colony was also attacked before >despite the difficulty, eventually she manages to steel her nerves and ask L >L still doesn't have the full context to her nightmares but explains that Ophelia reminds her of a human who somehow meant a lot to her >the bigger picture of things eludes them but Irma manages to mediate between the two >Ophelia, while still somewhat fearful of L, tries to keep going now that Irma's looking after her >L, maintains a nervous presence around Ophelia, but tries to sort of act like who she was to Julia (daughter of the Williams she looked after) >Irma starts to warm up to L, being less and less afraid over time As for B and H, I was really hooked on trying to write one character moment where B tells him she remembered enough which startles him. It'd be sort of ironic to say that her drinking so much caused interference with internal Solver protocols to the point the memory suppression wears off, but I partly feel that doesn't NEED an explanation since N was recovering pieces of his memory as is. In my head, this is during a calm scene when he's trying to make a drink for her. He becomes afraid to face his senior because he believed it was his fault that the maid drone found their home and he was the cause of their lives being this way on Osmium 4. He tries to flee but B manages to catch up (despite seemingly being drunk) every time and ends with B pinning him down, telling him to stop running away because she doesn't want to lose him and L after losing what they had on Earth. My problem was, and still is, plotting ideas out and using elements from the show at the same time, while keeping a good pace and hitting emotional points as hard as possible (AND drawing them out when I'm done with the story). I'm not built as a writer, I think lol
>>17207 Funny, I was looking at a video of it. I like the look of the compensator but it seems the concussion is a pain in the long run without ear protection (given its initial use). >>17208 If you have the time, it'd be nice.
>>17207 Her entire arsenal would be police based, so any weapons cops usually use she'd also have. I'm not the biggest expert when it comes to guns, but I can see her also having a colt. They'd have access to any human hand weapon, so a colt monitor would be pretty likely to be included. >>17208 Go right ahead, although do you want me to give a rundown of just her personality or the entire setting? >>17213 .....hey you're not me.
>>17222 Oh, I'd be happy to hear a general rundown of her personality and the setting, but if you're willing to read me generate half the lore from my crackhead brain for fun, I can also do that.
>>17075 >The fact that you haven't woken up in a shirt soaked with your own sweat is proof enough that this can't be a dream. >With the plane's left wing being no more than a smoking pyre by this point, its descent is rapid now. It felt like you were doing loop-de-loops before, but now? >Now's the climax, and the climax is a zero degree angle dip straight into the abyssal waters below. . . or so you'd thought. >With passengers reeling in their seats and the drone to your right clinging on to just about anything they can (it started with the front seat but they tore a chunk of leather from it, then, it graduated into the handlebar overhead which they also tore off, and now, *you* are the new target of stability and abuse). >You're also holding on to the seat in front of you, wrapping your one left arm around it like a vice while the blue-eyed worker practically death grips the circulation out of your arm. >You're very confident you just cracked a few bones once the plane started vibrating and passengers were sent to the floor, you being the exception of course since you had to thank the worker for weighing you down to your seat. >You can't even count the seconds before the impact arrives. You try to, but, your fear-addled brain just won't let you. >Without warning or signal of any kind, metal splits, leather burns, and everything around you descends into a mind-shatteringly loud noise as you're thrown so hard into the seat in front of you that you can feel the vessels in your nose pop before you lose consciousness.
The reprieve of the silent dark can only last so long.
>In an instant, you're back. >You feel like you're dead. You feel like you *should've* died, but you know you haven't. Not yet at least. >You're flat on your back and everything hurts. It hurts like hell, and yet, you also can't feel anything. >"Christ. . . mercy. . ." You mumble out in a way so deathly ill that you would've laughed at how similar you sounded to your alcoholic uncle on Christmas Eve if it weren't for the constant pain stabbing at you from all angles. >The pain AND the feeling of something rummaging through your trouser's various pockets. >You open your eyes, only realizing you've had them closed up until now. >You sit up like you're The Undertaker and, strangely enough, feel something snap *back* into place in your body like you just reconnected a lost piece of your likely verging on breaking puzzle of a body. >"Who-the-wha-?" You mumble out groggily, your chapped lips immediately making you regret even speaking. >A blue light fills your vision. >Even though everything is still blurry, you know for sure that whether this is Heaven, Hell, or some god-forsaken island in the middle of nowhere that you somehow drifted onto after the plane crash, that that blue light could only be one person: the worker. >"Oh!" She yells, nervous eyes darting around like blue orbs clashing against the black of her visor. "You're al-awake! You're awake, y-yes!" >"Where. . .?" You ask as your vision slowly but surely begins to sharpen again. >"W-We were lucky, ya' see! We're on. . . well, I was never told what island was two-hundred miles between North America and Ireland!" >That was odd. There could've been a million tiny little ones darting the ocean between those two places. Was this worker still addled from the crash like you were? You hoped not since she seemed to be the only other person nearby. >"Were. . . Were you trying to *steal* from me?" You ask groggily. >"N-No! I would never! As a responsible, r-respectable JcJenson labor overseer, I would never think of doing. . . just that!" >You can smell the bullshit on those words but don't have the energy or the freedom from pain to really care. >"Sorry 'bout that. For not dying, I mean, and leaving you a carcass to graverob." >The drone backs away and her eyes flash with anger before falling into weariness and fear. >"T'was a joke. . ." >You forgot that the only people you're funny too are drugees, alcoholics, and other bounty hunters. >"How bad is it?" You ask the worker, your vision nearly fully returning to you. >"A little," she says, understanding what you meant. There was almost a little annoyance in that timid voice of hers but you didn't question it. You'd both survived a fucking *plane crash* of all things, so, not being on edge would be the weirder attitude to have. >"You know. . ." You start as your vision fully returns to you and you get a good look at the worker facing you. >Your face (bloodied as it may have been) reflexively scrunched in horror. >"You're missing a chunk o' glass from your right. You know that?"
I don't have much experience nor was I taught to write. I've written for maybe a year, but that's on and off. Otherwise, I just let the most bizarre, non-serious things in my head influence the way I describe things and it ends up making it pop more I think.
I think Tessa's parents ignored her existence until they couldn't. She looks to me like she has literal developmental issues like she wasn't given stimulation as a baby and toddler. Chances are they would occassionally accidentally kill her caretaker drone and not notice until she cried too much from hunger.
>Be Louisa >Give birth >The nurse brings you your child and puts her in your arms >Little Tessa James Elliott, fresh out of the oven >The baby sits quietly, not knowing whether to sleep or to cry >You look down at her >You feel nothing >Actually, you feel one thing >"Glad you're out of me. Drone, wine."
>>17177 >>17210 Hello Friend, I really want to see this fleshed out, so please write more about them, I really love the characters, so if I can offer a piece of advice, from someone who sucks at writing to a Friend, one is too hard on oneself, if you can I'd recommend to let someone else test read it to give you an opinion, better if the person is brutally honest, and for now you have written kino so far so I would still trust your judgment. Paccing is hard but you have done it well so far, and also, for me, it has affected my feels, a lot, due to private matters. Keep going strong!
Also hello, good morning Friends, nice to see you all after 24+ hours without light, and around 10 of those without being able to talk with you, my Friends, nice to finally talk!
>>17261 No hard feelings. The complaint has its place, but my thought is the composition anons that make up a threadbase will have its ebb and flow. Show schedules will impact this where regularly structured airing (like one new episode a week) will have more anons focused on the show rather than OC stuff. Murder Drones have months long period between episodes. It has its depth and hidden details but once that's run out, people don't like repeating themselves unless it's some new viewer who's unfamiliar with the show's eccentricity. I was a new viewer back in October last year and as long as I take my time figuring things out and asking politely, there were anons who took their time to humor my inquiries. That said, not every new viewer can present themselves politely, and anons will respond in kind. It's 4chan, par for the course. I can sort of get where you're coming from, which is why out of 350-ish files on my Murder Drones drawing folder, very little of it is of my OCs. I paced out my personal fan character stuff cuz I liked show discussion too (and I wanted to make sure when I do bring my OCs up, it's stuff that had time and thought spent on, because that's how the show is). But once show material has been discussed a lot, people just want to have some fun.
>>17261 I read it and replied there Also holy shit the niggers are still going at it I see, unironically got to be wasting hours to try and start shit it's crazy to see really
I'm not going to lie; if Drones were real, and I was able to get one, I would just hug it all day every day, no matter the hour or the day, and unlike my cats, it would let itself get hugged all day.
>Imagine if instead of Cyn, Tessa pulls out Uzi and Doll(both patched). Then it turns out that they were both test subjects that escaped and the government is now after them. What would happen?
>>17114 >>17145 E-Anon here, I would like to vote for the malicious virus J0y and her Labor Bot Monstrosities, Watt-digo and the Abyss. Any one of them.
Labor Bots themselves are a hypothetical competitor to Worker Drones, albeit more cheap and limited in CPU, but they get the job done. Now imagine those same Laborers surviving J0y’s virus infection (lethality is high) and becoming monsters.
>>17276 Off the top of my head, I'm just thinking Race to Witch Mountain. Except the Rock is Tessa and she's not really driving Uzi and Doll anywhere. You don't mention N, V or J being around so I assume they're not part of the story anymore. It then turns into an investigative mystery thriller where Tessa uses her rich family's position as cover to conduct some sleuthing accompanied by an initially uncooperative Uzi and a mildly apathetic Doll. Uzi and Doll may have been found with different wigs given by lab staff, so Tessa gives them the wig fashioned according to the show. Depending on the stress test by the CF Labs, Uzi and Doll may have been allowed to be part of a family, as the researchers thought emotional stress may contribute to a successful Solver Drone. Their intent was only to replicate the Cyn-like host so that they can find a way to patch it, and several somewhat imperfect hosts before Uzi and Doll emerged. Once they become proper hosts, the patch is developed and given to them, cutting the Solver's ability to use them as pawns, temporarily. This impacts the story by way of having Cyn/the Solver manifest long before Tessa found Uzi/Doll and Cyn/the Solver was never part of Tessa's life. Whether humans found out about the Solver on Earth or if some proper misconduct allowed it to achieve a Cyn-like host on one of the other planets, is up to your imagination. Of course, JCJenson (IS) has to suppress this information through bribery or any other corrupt methods. Uzi had Khan and Nori, Doll had Yeva/Doll's dad, and as part of the torturous CF Lab experiments, they had to be killed in front of Uzi and Doll, leading to a split in their developing personality. Tessa struggles trying to earn their trust to get more information while living at the manor under her neglectful (still somewhat abusive but if Tessa is causing less problems for them, I think 'neglectful' works better) parents. Government agents will also snoop around and try to find Uzi and Doll but because of Tessa's family position, they fail. Eventually she manages to earn their trust and learns more of what truly lurks behind JCJenson (IS). IF this story is more focused on saving the Earth, it may be the last holdout for humanity. While Tessa's side of the story slowly unfolds, we have B plot or at least small scenes showing that it is slowly taking control of drones on different inhabited exoplanets. By the time Tessa manages to win over Doll and Uzi, it has succeeded to unfurl its influence over some of the exoplanets and execute NULLification to a complete degree. Everything happens very quickly and Earth loses contact with the exoplanets, but JCJenson (IS) remains adamant on suppressing information from getting out. The episode 8 of this hypothetical story is Tessa, Uzi and Doll working together to set up a final stand to banish the Solver. To get to this point, Tessa would need allies that she slowly gets to know before, as well as being shown to do research that uncovers the nature of the Solver as an extradimensional entity. So, you need to add this to parts before the finale, during her investigation time.
>>17276 >>17281 This is a very interesting concept. Is there a fanfic or a comic like this or something?
Now I want to see a scenario in this hypothetical story where the FBI kicking down the door brandishing guns while Tessa pleads with them not to hurt Doll and Uzi.
>>17286 >Now I want to see a scenario in this hypothetical story where the FBI kicking down the door brandishing guns while Tessa pleads with them not to hurt Doll and Uzi. I think that would either end with Doll and Uzi going full Solver mode on them or just grabbing Tessa and flying away. What do you think?
>>17171 Have a very realistic one for the bingo: Tessa’s ghost/soul/whatever shows up to interact with the cast. Up to personal preference whether this is to:
>>17282 If N, V and J remains part of the story, there will be less focus on them so the investigative thriller part remains the core of the story. But I say less focus and not completely abandoned. N and V will be the romance focus of the side stories, while J maintains her position as loyal servant. As a zombie drone whose personality can now develop past the restrictions set by the company, J becomes Tessa's important coordinator during her investigation, making sure her parents/other rich businesspeople don't catch up on what Tessa is uncovering as well as communicating with potential allies outside her family. We can still get hints of Eldritch stuff through Uzi and Doll having premonitions or visions of the Solver's activities on other exoplanets (while it's trying to spread its influence and power over the planets' worker drone population). Nightmares of people dying, drones being forcibly made into Disassembly Drones (in the main show, but in this hypothetical scenario they're just part of the Solver's invasion monsters) and vague sights of exoplanets being NULLed. Along with past stuff haunting Uzi and Doll, we could put more emphasis on how they bonded with their family before the parents get killed by the CF Labs staff. N and V slowly fall in love, but they're still important as part of the final team that has to face the Solver itself. Their love is what backs up their fervent desire to protect each other as well as Tessa and the others as gratitude. It's also important to have small scenes at the JCJenson (IS) company/CF Labs that show the hubris of humanity, or its worse facets. Scenes of researchers showing arrogance in their attempt to figure out the Solver through research alone and dismiss potential ideas of the occult. As well as scenes in other exoplanets that show what happened to imperfect hosts like the ones we saw dead in the lockers to hammer in the terrible aspects of humanity that's balanced out by Tessa and her attempt to be kind to Uzi and Doll. Of course, she can't be the only human to be doing this because you need balance, small scenes of humans being generally nicer to drones outside of the Elliott manor helps. Tessa also finds a few odd folks that she can trust with what she's uncovered. It shouldn't come easy to her, but she needs to have allies to confront the Solver, humans and drones. I'm a sucker for a ragtag team, so something like an old man who's a retired mercenary living just outside the dumps in secrecy that Tessa occasionally visits and bring food just because he helps her around the dumping ground. (I can't come up with more cuz I'm tired but you get the idea) He's weirded out by Tessa's interest in rescuing zombie drones but eventually Tessa reveals everything she uncovered and he decides this is serious enough that he connects with his old network. Just enough networking over different locations that there's a ripple effect that allows an intermediary force to slow down the Solver's invading monsters (when it finally reaches Earth) so Tessa and her own team can confront the Solver's most important host that is its strongest anchor to the material universe yet its weakest link. This assumes a good ending and that Tessa's group manages to figure out a way to banish the Solver. (You'll have to do your own thing if you want a bad ending) To add to the JCJenson (IS) stuff, there has to be scenes of conceited upper company people who gave the orders of suppressing information, right up to when the Solver manages to NULL several exoplanets. And even after losing contact with the other company branches, they remain adamant that their CF Labs researchers can deal with this, they can save their own skin and still be rich. Just, sort of the more terrible aspects of humanity on display.
>>17290 Tessa wouldn't allow them to use their Solver powers yet. And like I said, my thought was that her family position would make it difficult for government agents to simply break in and cause a commotion. Not to mention, Tessa has changed their appearance so while they figured out patched drones have escaped in the general area of the Elliott Manor, it'd be difficult for them to find Uzi and Doll. In fact, I'm sort of in favor of one or two agents kind of losing faith in the agency that employed them. Like you can have several rookie agents attempting to snoop around and try to figure out where Uzi and Doll are but fail. When they fail, different agents are sent in. Around the time Tessa's group manages to figure out what is happening behind JCJenson (IS), you have agents who are disillusioned by their line of work. Maybe they do find out what Tessa is doing and where Uzi/Doll are but cut off communications or report back that they failed to find them after realizing bigger problems are brewing behind the intergalactic company and they can't trust their own agency by now. Bit much, but I just sorta like the idea of disillusioned agents having a change of heart and help the protagonist instead, but yeah it's hard to incorporate into the story when so much is already happening.

>"What crawled up his aft...." >Mechanical thuds of pressurised metal marched along the darkened beds of the Seleni sea. Just the empty silence amongst the murky depths of the deep. >"Mariner Three, come on. This isn't funny. If it's about earlier..." >Nothing.
>Four began to run an anxiety routine. Perhaps it really was time to leave. >"Ooo-k...he's probably just gone back without me. No biggy. I can just follow the lifeline back to the rally point. It'll be alright....right?" (1/2)

>>17332 Hey Friend, there can be many reasons to keep going forward, can be family, can be friends, can be for oneself, Friend, look, I'm not going to say life is easy and is easy to keep going, because it's not, sometimes some days are harder than others, and yes sometimes is easy, and I'm not all knowing, but let me tell you that it is worth it to keep going, I kept going forward not stopping, for myself, I wanted to see myself be happy and healthy, I don't know enough about you Friend to tell you the "perfect" words, but let me tell you this: Friend, *it is* worth it to keep going, and to see what happens after, if you feel sad, depressed, overwhelmed, or anything like that, it goes away at some point, and I don't say it just to be nice, *I know* it goes away, and happiness is always at the end, fighting every day for yourself it's worth it, and you *will* know how happy I felt when I reached the end of the tunnel, when the rain stopped for as way to say it, you can take motivation to keep fighting for your family, friends, pets, and more, but remember to fight for yourself too. If you need to talk about anything, I will be here, Friend.

Alright, no longer delaying it as this is gonna be a long one so here we go.
Absolute Territory Part 1
>The sun hung low in the horizon, resting between the mountain peaks like someone after a long day of hard work, tiredness overtaking their eyes and wishing for night time to arrive already, such a feeling being transmitted in the orange rays bathing the land in front of it. >And yet it seemingly stood in place, not moving an inch, not wanting for this moment to pass. >Those brilliant warm rays carried with them the same worry that had managed to choke the life out of the very land that stood before it. >Not a single bird chirped, not one leaf dared to fall, not a bug wished to show its face. >It's like nature itself knew the horror that would soon follow, not wanting to move a single finger in mind numbing anticipation and dread. >The celestial body seemed to wish to stay longer, to greet its night time siblings in the sky and keep the darkness away, but just like that same tired worker that wanted nothing more than to rest on their pillow, the star slowly descended into the earth, its orange body turning a brilliant red before being snuffed out by the cold blue around it. >Gross, pitch black shadows fell onto the trees and buildings, as their time had finally arrived, spreading further and further as they consumed everything into a void of dark blue and black, their luminous gods arriving high into the sky not long after. >Even in this new dark paradise, though, nothing moved. >Only the faintest of breezes whispered worry racked words above the canopies of trees and between branches that crisscrossed with their neighbor's, almost like they were muffling each other to not dare speak. >Inoshima Town's gates, once a welcoming sight with their hanging lanterns, now stood as a dull and mute guardian, just as black as the sky above it and forest stretching before it. (1/?)
>>17358 >An unnatural silence, stagnant and all consuming, minutes being stretched to a seemingly eternal length. >”WEEEELCOME, EVERYBODY!!! ^-^” boomed with a force that could shatter glass, destroying the tomb-like atmosphere that had settled only a few moments ago. >”It is with great pleasure to have you all here!” the chipper voice echoed once more, its source making itself visible as stage lights of unknown origin danced in the air. >”I hope you brought all your friends and even family members, because this will be a once in a lifetime concert!” >Pirouetting almost like after a magical girl transformation, the DD stretched out her arms, seemingly ready to meet the biggest crowd she'd ever see in her career, before pointing forward with her right hand, mic close to her mouth and wide smile on her face >”We are The Ebon Sirens! And this is our!! -uh …” >The previous hype and excitement dissolved like a fizzy tablet in water, the stage lights vanishing as they revealed themselves to be coming from one of their members. >The four DDs looked on to see no one around, their leader appearing to be the most shocked, still maintaining her pose and smile despite one of her eyes twitching in annoyance. >The whole town was dead silent, not a single light anywhere, it almost seemed like everyone had just up and left everything behind. >Clenching her teeth, anger now overtaking the wide circles on her face, she screamed as loud as she could in her mic, the speakers on her wings reverberating with feedback, causing the other three to flinch a bit. >”HEEELLOOOOOO!?!? IS ANYONE HERE?”, yet the only response she got was silence and a small breeze fluttering her pink dress. >”Guess you scared them off with your voice, eh Laki?” a nonchalant voice echoed behind her. >”Zip it, El!!!” Laki barked back, but El kept her modest smile. >”Hey, me and Piika were the ones that suggested we spread our pamphlets first like before, but you're the one that insisted on doing an “Instant Concert”.” El said. >”Y-Yeah! Nils even had them prepared in advance.” Piika spoke with a weak voice, clearly afraid of Laki turning her gaze at her. (2/?)
>>17359 >Half an hour earlier >The once lively town Sinshei was now just a ruin, buildings crumbling into ashened piles, streaks of oil painting the landscape along with the body parts of the ones that once housed the dark fluid. >A massacre had occurred here, those lucky enough to reach the underground network of caverns hunkered down in fear, praying that the death angels wouldn't find them. >Yet as harrowing of a sight as it might've been, there were those completely unbothered by it, more specifically those that had been the culprits of it. >Perched on top of a house, El stood vigil over the landscape, having been the first to wake up, watching as the last bits of sunlight faded into oblivion and the sky turned dark, all while tinkering with one of her synth devices. >She was the “DJ” of her group, being the one that constructed and remixed all their songs, adding any missing instrumental in their shows by using a myriad of samples she had collected over time. >She knew their “band” was incomplete, yet her mastery in sound editing made it seem like she could fill in any gap. >A yawn could be heard coming from her left, turning to see that Laki had also returned to the waking world. >The leader of their group and the founder of The Ebon Sirens, she wore a bright pink and magenta dress, befitting for her role as an “idol” and in stark contrast of El’s monochromatic attire, providing the main voice of all their songs, putting as much passion in her performances as she could. >Her hair, fashioned in two side drills, fluttered ever so slightly in the air as she stretched her arms upwards. >”Had a nice beauty sleep, Laki?” El said with a playful tone as she kept working. >”Yeah, can't say the same about you. Working on your equipment all the time, jeez El, do you ever sleep?” >”Ey, I wouldn't be this good at music if I didn't make sure my stuff was in tip top shape all the time.” she cooed as she jumped off the roof, wings flashing to break her landing. >”You’d think you and Nils are related with how immersed you are in your work.” >”And that's a bad thing?” (3/?)
>>17360 >”Not at all.” Laki said as she brushed off one of her drills. >”That is precisely why we're the best of the best. No one is better than our band!” >”That's cuz there is no one better since we're the only band on this side of the world. And probably the entire planet.” >”Precisely! Everyone else was so intimidated by my talent alone that they didn't even bother to try and form a rival group. Leaving us to take all the spoils!” Laki began laughing like a stereotypical anime girl, complete with bellowing oh oh oh’s and the back of her hand near her mouth. >El just looked at her with mild embarrassment, still holding on her synth device. >After savoring the moment, Laki checked her HUD’s clock, seeing that it was late enough in the night, a smile forming on her face. >”El, go get Piika and Nils. We're leaving for our next destination in a few minutes.” >El raised an eyebrow. >”Shouldn't we first send those pamphlets? Nils woke up early just to start working on them and me and Piika already know where to-” >”Nah. Tonight, I want to do something special. As our 10th pitstop in our world tour, I want us to do an Instant Concert! No pamphlets, no word of mouth. Just a live performance out of the blue!” >El just kept her eyebrow raised as she blinked slowly. >”What?” said Laki, “It'll be great! Everyone's jaws will drop in awe and they'll be so shocked, they'll have no choice BUT to watch our show! It'll be great!” she then wrapped her arm around El, tracing the path of a shooting star with her other arm. >But El kept looking at her like she just told her that she's stupid. >Laki’s previous chipper expression dissolved into a frown. >”Just go look for Piika and Nils, ok?” >”Ye got it.” El said now with a more chill expression, leaving Laki behind as she walked towards one of the town hall buildings. >”Although…” she stopped mid stride, her back at Laki while downing a more serious tone. >”I do wonder how long are we gonna be able to keep this whole thing up before we really get in trouble.” (4/?)
>>17361 >”Oh come on, you're still worried about that? We haven't gotten a single message back from those corporate bozos since we landed on the planet.” >”For all we know, they just left us here to die, so there's no reason to do what they want their way and instead our way!” >”Your way, Laki.” El then continued her walk, leaving behind a clearly annoyed Laki to cross her arms in annoyance. >Reaching her destination, the DD opened the large doors, letting out the blaring music inside to infect the chill air outside. >It was quite surreal, the four of them hadn't been there for more than a day, yet Nils had decorated the place like it always was a secret hideout for them. >Entering the main hall that was dotted with various paints and stickers along with deep claw marks and indents in the concrete, El opened the first door she landed her eyes on on the right, a faint sound of electric piano being discernible through the blaring music. >Her intuition was right, finding a Piika practicing on her trusty keyboard, clearly struggling to maintain her melody. >She was quite the skittish DD, far more withdrawn than her outward colleagues, yet her pink garment struck quite the contrast with her gloomier self. >”Oy, Piika!” El tried not to raise her voice too much, but enough to still be discernible through the noise pollution, yet even that was enough to startle the black licorice flavored bubble gum, slamming her fingers into the keys in shock to make a hideous sound. >”O-OH EL! I didn't see you enter!” >”It's fine. Let's get moving.” >”Wait! What do you mean?” >”Laki’s being a diva again and wants the show to start tonight.” >”B-But we didn't even start putting the pamphlets and I haven't fully practiced for our next piece!” >”It's fine, you'll be as great as always, now let's go.” >”Wait! Do you know where Nils’ room is?” >”Judging by the music, I have a pretty good hunch.” >”Alright. Guess I'll-...OH GOD NILS! She's going to be so mad!! El, wait!”, but El was gone, having leaped to the second floor, already zeroing in on the wide opened door. (5/?)
>>17364 >The room looked completely trashed, everything was strewn about with little abandon, streaks of paint everywhere along with entire piles of paper, some crumpled, others with highly detailed drawings, from mundane things to landscapes and even drones, Worker and Disassembler alike. >In the center of it all was a DD that was dressed like a rockstar, hair coalesced on one side while the other stood baren, fully exposing her eye bandana, bright colors giving life to the otherwise dull white. >”And that should be the last of it.” she said as she put the final pamphlet on the massive pile she had made. >”Nils.” >”Although I wonder if I should've used more magenta this time.” >”Nils!” >”Meh, they're gonna be torn up by the end of it, I it's not gonna mater.” >”NILS” >”Although it feels like the logo is too high up.” >But while she kept pondering, the once blaring music was reduced to silence. >Snapping in a blink of an eye at her boombox to see what had happened, she was shocked to see El pressing the off button on the ancient device. >”El, why!?” >”We've leaving. Pack your stuff and let's go.” >”What, are we gonna be plastering these things as we go along?” Nils said as pointed at the stack of pamphlets. >”No. Laki's ego got to her head again and now she wants to do the concert pronto.” >”....she wot?” she said, now clear anger forming in her eyes. >”I woke up as early as I could, barely getting a wink of sleep just to finish these damn things as fast as I could, and that pink fokin whore now says that I can throw them all in the trash!?” >”Nils, calm down a bi-” but it was too late as she was already storming towards the door, cracking her knuckles in the process. >”Nils please wait!!” a panicked Piika blocked the entrance, trying in vain to diffuse the ticking bomb. >”Out of my way, Piika, unless you want a dent in your face too!” >”Nils, you know punching her won't solve anything. You've done that way too many times to keep trying.” El said with her usual compassionate, yet paradoxically disinterested voice. (6/?)
>>17365 >Stopping in her tracks while gritting her teeth, Nils turned her head to look at El with her side eye, all the while Piika looked like she was ready to collapse into a ball. >The two DD stared at each other, seconds feeling like they lasted an eternity as the two were locked in place. >”Fine.” Nils said, a clear displeasure resonating in her voice. >”But I get to dropkick her after the show is over while stealing all her kills, ok?” >El simply returned an ok sign, a small smile forming on her face. >Nils gave a thumbs up before calmly picking up her guitar and leaving the room, making sure to not bump into the shivering Piika. >El’s simple smile turned upside down, however, as she began thinking the same thing she had been for the past few months. >”How long are we gonna resist like this?”
>Present time >Despite trying to keep her composure, Laki’s inner turmoil began surfacing as an overheating sign appeared in the corner of her visor, a whirlpool of thoughts clouding her mind. >”How DARE they not show up to her special 10th concert?!” she thought. >”How DARE they humiliate her like this!?” she pondered as her teeth attempted to slide side by side. >”Talk about fragile ego, jeez.” Nils whispered. >”I'm not gonna let this go that easily!” Laki spoke more to herself than to everyone else. >In a flash, she turned back to face the ghost town, but right before she could let out another shout into her mic, a figure began appearing from the shadows, slowly making their way towards the gates as she mindlessly swept the dust on the road with her broom. >”Huh, so this place isn't as deserted as we thought.” said El. >The red warning sign vanished as Laki regained her composure, her smug smile replacing her previous hate filled grin. >”So I see.” she cooed >”Hey you, purple hair!” she pointed at the singular resident in this empty town, passing the gates and heading straight for them before stopping in place, only a few meters away from the DDs. (7/?)
>>17366 >The drone then lifted her head, staring at Laki straight in her eyes, a clear look of disdain burrowing holes in her before turning into a more neutral expression. >”I see that at least you decide to join our show. Well then, I suppose tha-” >”What brings you here?” Megumi spoke with a confident voice, taking all the DDs by surprise. >Usually Worker Drones shook in terror at their presence, yet this one lonely hunk of metal dressed like some Japanese priestess stood unflinching before them. >Laki, a bit annoyed that the miko cut off her carefully crafted words, put up a confident mask once again, descending towards the WD as she giggled a bit. >”If you had any business here, then it's best that you simply left. You won't find anyone here anymore.” Megumi continued, clenching her broom to the point where a faint snap in the wood could be heard. >”Hmm, quite the bold words you've got there. And how do I know you're not lying.” said Laki as her left hand turned into the signature claws. >”A shrine maiden never lies. For it is a sin to the gods.” >Laki couldn't help herself from escaping a laugh, now having closed the distance between her and Megumi. >”Oh, and did these gods also tell you to stay behind?” >”A shrine maiden’s duty never ends. Even after those around have departed to lands unknown.” >” Ha ha, I heard stuff like this from someone similar in the previous town, how the “gods” would protect them.” Laki’s eyes turned into a yellow X. >”Before I silenced them for trying to stop our concert.” >Megumi’s hands clenched even harder on the broom, but this time it wasn't out of fear, but out of hate. >The X reformed into two eyes as Laki took on a more chill disposition. >”Such a weird land this is, all these traditions and ceremonies, gosh how do you guys live like this?” >”But I guess it doesn't really matter.” Laki slipped one of her claws under Megumi’s chin. >”By the time our tour is done here, there won't be anyone left to carry out these mumbo jumbos.” (8/?)
>>17367 >High in the Inoshima Tower, one figure, masked in darkness, watched the entire scene play out down below. And in their hand they held an arrow, its sharp edge glinting in the moonlight. >”The ones that won't be left will be your kind, Disassembly Drone.” Aigami said as he fired the arrow, slicing through the air at dangerous speed, closing the distance in mere seconds as it embedded itself into one of Laki’s bandana eyes. >The DD reeled in pain as yellow fluid splashed everywhere. >”Laki!!” El, Nils and Piika all shouted in unison, dropping the act and deploying their claws to aid their leader before another arrow flew, this time hitting Nils. >El tried to find its source, but yet another arrow flew, this time embedding itself into Piika’s leftmost eye, followed by one more, hitting El square in the face. >The arrows had all been shot from completely different directions, and they wouldn't be the last as four more descended from the heavens, but they didn't embed in the DDs, for that wasn't their purpose. >A cylindrical device was taped to each of them, a red beeping noise acting as a warning sign as they each detonated, but instead of a fireball, a thick cloud of smoke choked the entire area. >Disoriented and trying to pull the arrows from their heads, the DDs called for each other, but only seemed to get more lost in the impenetrable haze. >El managed to remove the arrow, but to her shock she was struck by something hard, knocking her from the air. >Rearing back up, she found that she was hit with a broom handle, the object now laying beside her as she could hear footsteps from ahead. >With an anger uncharacteristic to her, the signature X appeared on her visor as she raced forward to catch that little shrine maiden. >Going past the gates and into the town, she surveyed the area, trying to find where Megumi could've potentially hid, but no luck. >A sudden creaking noise made her pounce towards its source, but it was revealed to just be an unlocked door. >Another sound echoed from around a house, then another further down the street. >The sounds felt almost deliberate. >Like they were trying to lure her further into town. (9/?)
>>17368 >This made her want to sprint back to her teammates, realizing the potential mistake she had made, but out of the blue four arrows shot from four different angles, all aimed at her head. >This time, however, she didn't let any of them connect, deflecting them with her wings before throwing pipe bombs in two of the directions. >The explosives detonated, reducing all stone and walls in their paths to rubble, yet no yell came from either direction, no drone crawling with only half their limbs attached. >Thinking she had misjudged, she prepared another round, but a sudden sensation in her back caused her to falter. >Yet another arrow, but this time she was able to see who had shot it. >It was Megumi, waving at her with a clear look of satisfaction on her face before slowly beginning to move backwards. >Having realized that this was most certainly a trap, El deployed her gun, ready to turn the miko into target practice, yet this action only made the drone's smile increase. >Eyes turning into wide circles, she tried taking off, but it was two late as a blinding slash severed one of her wings at the base before returning to cleave the other. >She fell to the ground, confused and now almost terrified. >In all her time spent on this planet, not one single drone had managed to land a finger on them, yet here she was, collapsed on the ground and oil leaking from her back, her wings splayed out on each of her sides. >Next thing she knew, a figure stood before her, cyan eyes glowing with intent before turning orange as another set of eyes, these ones cyan Xs jumped towards her. >Back at the entrance, Laki, Nils and Piika had managed to find each other as the smoke finally vanished, each pulling each other's arrows out and snapping them in half. >”These little…” Laki grumbled. >”Gotta give it to them, that was a pretty good ambush.” Nils cocked an eyebrow and smiled a bit, all while looking at Laki slowly losing her marbles. (10/?)
>>17369 >”Although I wonder what was the purpose of it? Just to inconvenience us for a bit?” >”Don't know, but I think we should call the night off.” Piika expressed meekly >”NO!” Laki barked at both of them. >”I'm not going to let some tin cans that can't appreciate good music ruin my moment like this.” Laki then deployed a rail gun from the left arm. >”I’m going to hunt every single one of them down and force them to praise my concert while I torch this stupid town to the ground!!” she said as she angrily pointed the rail gun at the front gates, ready to fire. >”H-Hey, where's El?” Piika asked. >At that moment, Laki’s fiery demeanor vanished, looking around to see that El really wasn't with them. >”What the…” >”Oy, El! Did Laki’s tantrum make you leave? Cuz she's fine now!” Nils shouted, fully expecting El to appear from behind the trees, yet she wasn't anywhere to be seen. >”Hey, who's that?” Piika pointed at the gates. >Turning around, Nils saw the same scene her teammates had noticed, weird cyan lights making their way from deep within the town. >It wasn't until it came close to the gates when it revealed itself to be El, momentary relief being instead replaced with weird looks. >”Yo, El, what's up with those lights? I almost didn't recognize you!” Nils shouted, but no response came. >El kept marching forward, a monotone expression plastered on her face. >Laki was the first to approach the seemingly spaced out El, snapping her finger in a vain attempt to bring her back to her senses. >”Hello? Is anyone there? What's with the zombie-like attitude? Did you get lobotomized over there or something?” >El kept her silence. >Piika then noticed the dried up oil on her shoulders. >Laki kept waving in El’s face. >”Come on, if this is about those stupid papers I already apologized to Nils.” >”No you didn't.” Nils bit back. >Piika slowly approached the entranced El. (11/?)
>>17370 >”El….what did Nils tell you that she wanted to do after the concert was done?” she asked. >Laki raised a bewildered eyebrow as she looked back at Nils and then at El. >El's facial expression changed a bit, clearly trying to come up with an answer. >It was then that Piika noticed El's right hand struggling to make a sign. >A V followed by an L. >The sign they usually make when something bad happens backstage. >Her eyes widened in realization, but it was too late as Nils kicked Laki in the chest, sending her tumbling on the ground a few feet from where Nils was. >She then grabbed Piika, keeping her in a vice grip as she turned to face the gates. >”NOW!” El shouted, but it wasn't in her voice. >Like a bullet, Haruka bolted from the shadows, blade glowing an incandescent red as she was ready to strike. >It all happened in an instead, one wide slash and Piika’s head was sent flying, Aoi then let go of the body, allowing Haruka to stab it right through the chest, a downward slash cleaving a large opening in the chassis from where oil sprayed like a fountain. >One more slash and the upper and lower torso were separated from each other, falling limp on the ground. >Nils looked on in horror at what just happened, Laki raising on her hands and knees, still reeling a bit from the kick before she too saw the scene. >El turned around to look at Nils and Laki, but the two could now see the two cyan Xs that replaced their teammate's eyes along with a strange aura around her. >Haruka raised her head to stare the two DDs in the eyes, her blade slowly cooling as streaks of smoke swirled around it. >”This is for Sinshei.” she exclaimed as her blade began glowing once more.
And now let's introduce the band of DDs that have been consuming my time for the past few weeks, The Ebon Sirens Laki, Nils, El and Piika.
>DD group that, after seeing that they were not receiving any messages from JCJ ever since they landed and kept being treated with radio silence, chose to just do things their own way, ditching their old clothes and ripping off their armbands, replacing their old designations with new names, dying their hair and choosing to become a band. >Well, technically Laki chose to become a singer and roped everyone else in into becoming The Ebon Sirens as they've chosen to name themselves. >They perform live concerts everywhere they go, using it as both a recreational activity and a way to catch their prey off guard. They still are DDs and their need for oil isn't something they can get rid of, so instead they choose to dine on their audience, a feeding frenzy always following after each concert. >While not all concerts end with them slaughtering all WD they lay eyes upon, a good majority of them have left entire towns empty, 9 of them so far, with their most recent one taking place in Sinshei. >They do wish that they could start a proper music career by selling their albums, but Laki feels like them being like urban legends is more than enough, their “fame” being whispered across every drone town and settlement. >Personality wise, Laki is an absolute diva, seeing herself as an absolute star and the best idol to ever exist with hundreds of fans, yet her ego is incredibly easy to damage, resulting in outbursts that can turn violent if she's pissed off enough. Despite being their leader, there's quite the amount of friction between her and her teammates, specifically with Nils thanks to them being dumb dumbs and doing shit neither of them are proud of. >Speaking of, Nils is the bass/guitar singer of the group, arguably putting even more soul into her performances than Laki. She's very abrasive at first glance and likes to maintain this mask, but deep down she's a lot calmer, preferring to pass her time tuning her instrument or painting/drawing whatever she feels like. If it were up to her, she'd have always been an artist, but she's also ok with her current musical hobby. And yes she's bri’ish, being a fan of British Punk which is what influenced her look. >El is the “DJ” of the squad, being the one that provides not just backing tracks, but also light effects to make their entrances more “dramatic”. She's the most down to earth and level headed member, often being the one that settles down arguments, mainly between Laki and Nils. >And finally, Piika is the doormat of the group. A shy pink goth that'd rather spend all day recording piano solos than actually sing on stage in front of others, because even though many of them will become food after the concert ends, stage fright can still be a bitch. Despite this, she often calms down when her fingers hit the keys, trying her best to put up a good performance. Due to her nature, Laki often takes advantage of her insecurities by being a cunt, which often results in fights with her and Nils as the latter detests bullying of this kind, especially knowing how many times Laki talked down her art. >Overall, a dysfunctional group that's only really held together because of Laki's ambitions and dreams, something El thinks will eventually collapse, but for the time being she's trying her best to keep everyone together while letting her inflated ego talk a lot of times (which is in fact the main reason El thinks things will fall apart if she doesn't eventually get a proper reality check). >Ability wise they all have the unique ability of sound manipulation, Laki's being especially developed because of her role, allowing her to use it to deadly efficiency, hence the reason they even named their band “The Ebon Sirens”.
>>17351 Yeah…The Murder Drones universe was already pretty messed up BEFORE the solver got involved.
I mean, why do you think my idea of a Tessa in a world where no apocalypse happened and was therefore raised by James and Louisa is an emotionally volatile asshole who “copes” with her horrible childhood by borderline alcoholism and continuing the cycle of abuse.
>>17331 >Diagnostics revealed apparent damage along the reinforced glass. And along the surface of her visor, if the shoddy feed stained with drips of oil was any indication. >Cracks and leaking black was not a good combination. Less so with the strained observation window. >"D-damn it....w-what the hell was that?" >Glitching in her speech shouted over the periodic blips coming from the panel. >Blip >Blip.... >BLIP. >The unknown presence, large and daunting, skirted the edges of the sensors, but rushed by with such force it rattled the very waters around it.
>Processors began to imagine the worst during a prayer specifying it not to be Selenian sand sharks coming up to migrate. >Yet as quickly as the barrelling force had been detected, it vanished. >Brief relief trickled down her diodes, only to be washed away as the second most urgent problem still needed to be tackled. >Water dripping in. >One hand over the injury and another over the emergency flare shot, she pressed down to launch a bubbling streak of crimson to the surface. >Now all she could do was wait. Hopefully, help would arrive in time.
>Simulations couldn't stop running in her head. >What if she bled out before then? What if the glass didn't hold and she was crushed? What if *whatever* it was came back? >She could feel it. The pulse of her core rising in tandem with the liquid walls closing in. Crushing slowly what little hope there had been. >This was it. She'd terminate there and now, and never see the surface again.
>She shut her LCD eyes, curled up and prepared for the worst possible burial at sea.
>It didn't come. The glass was still holding in silence, bar the stilted sniffling of one worker drone. >One optic opened nervously. Then the other. >Still the evening black of a veritable ocean. Pierced by....a glimpse of teal? >It couldn't be... >Fading into view was lights. >She clambered up to see what it was. And there, floating in that strange emptiness, with its flipper-adapted feet and jagged wings...a drone. >A sentinel drone. She was saved! >The channel opened. >"H-hey! Over here! Worker in distress. Please, you gotta help me! The line, it...." >Upon further observation, something unnerving filled that emptiness around the singular figure.
>Its screen. Dead cold and blank. It didn't even tread weightlessly like so many intoners could. Absolutely limp. >The lights seemed to only increase in brightness as it got closer. >And number. Turning teal to yellow.
>For once, terror was an unquantifiable value in a drone's systems. >Four didn't have enough time to scream as the aqueous titan barrelled forth, its bait receeding above an abominable maw poised to swallow half of the helpless expedition whole. Dragging the remains down to float in the unknown depths.
>>17378 >>17382 You need to be innately powerful to abuse to begin with, and victims selected for abuse are chosen specifically because they are innately weak. It's like the platitude that bullies peak in high school when it's actually a launch pad for them.
>>17383 (me) >>17389 Asking for art and writing reasons, the only true height I've found is for Uzi, and she's about 4'2, with even regular workers being taller than her. So, I'm wondering if regular drones stand about 5'0 or around there, with disassembly drones standing about 5'5-ish?
>>17391 The problem though is the victims are almost always innately weak because the abuse starts when they're children.
People might eventually have the mental or physical potential to grow into powerful men or women, but, at so young an age, there is no strength to defend yourself with.
>>17392 Dunnoe. The posters in the beginning of the prom episode put the missing nominees for prom queen at 4'9 roughly. And of course, those are just the ladies. Assuming the worker drones we at Outpost 3 are all uniform, then they could be about that height or roughly 5'0. As for disassemblers, I think N is canonically between 5'7-5'10 with/without his hat and hair? I think, if memory serves me. (Based on the Glitch Inn leaks).
>>17393 And it's weak children that grow into weak adults that are selected for abuse by the innately powerful, detected by their innate predatory instincts.
>>17395 N is a fucking goliath compared to Uzi then. I'm watching Episode 5 right now and they show drones next to a human. Probably not an accurate representation but it's still something. I'm banking on N being 5'7
>>17399 That's probably the more likely case. I don't think we got a consistent or straight answer from Liam/Glitch prior to the Glitch Inn stuff. I mean, we could glean info and make guesses but...Meh.
Yeah, N is massive compared to Uzi. But he's an absolute manlet still in his DD form compared to humans, had any others been alive. >>17397 Meh. I shat it out in one evening. Could have been better but I wanted to get the 'tism out. Got way more to do.
>>17402 I'll work out what the heights of drones commonly are and then put them onto the sheet I'm creating. You think I should add Sentinel Drones on it for comparison too?

>>17400 He's going to revive Design as a pseudo-anime with the original voice actors and a soundtrack composed of nightcore versions of all of his old music.
>>17405 I was in the minority who said that should have been the name in the first place seeing as I'd wager a sizeable chunk of the fanbase (or at least a sizeable chunk of the oldfags) came out for Murder Drones because they were already either fans of Vickers's animated shorts or knew him from his creepypasta channel.
>>17343 The ending for this hypothetical idea is kind of what we saw of the Solver war. The Solver's primary host makes its way to Earth, its monsters disabling a lot of humanity's defenses easily because JCJenson (IS) refused to cooperate and kept things in secret until it was too late. There should be parts where we see the company higher ups as well as the CF lab researchers get torn to pieces for their hubris. As mentioned before, there is an intermediary force that would be able to hold their defenses for a time, but general losses for humanity is massive. The Solver's primary host is able to alter the weather, allowing its Disassembly Drones to wreak havoc. Even though it can do this, it does take some toll on its general powers, enough that Uzi and Doll are a threat to its plans. The purpose of NULLification of the exoplanets remains unclear but for now I'm sticking with the proposed theory that the Nulled planets are points on a giant magic circle that once completed, will allow the Solver's true form to break through and consume the universe entirely. But it is also on Earth looking to make sure that humanity hasn't found a way to seal it off yet and get rid of Uzi and Doll. Its primary host is aware of some things on Earth, but shouldn't know everything. The Solver is aware that it had two hosts that it could no longer tap into, realizing humans have managed to find a way to interfere but that should be the extent of what it knows of Earth as the other exoplanets' CF Labs weren't able to achieve the same results as the researchers on Earth before it was too late. Tessa's investigation and occult research up to the finale should yield a potential device like the patch cross but its effect this time is to seal away the Solver for good, if she can land a good hit on the primary host. Tessa herself will not be directly involved in the fight, but Uzi and Doll will do most of the heavy lifting. This is where we get the epic fight stuff. (Of course, it'd be important to have scenes of Doll and Uzi expanding upon their control of their powers alongside Tessa's time being spent on research and investigation BEFORE the finale, they can't just suddenly be good with their powers to the point of presenting a problem for the Solver's primary host.) In between the fighting, there should be scenes showing the rest of humanity putting up a fight against the Solver's monsters. Several locations where people have managed to band together and hold their defenses but there are still casualties. This scenario kind of means the Disassembly Drones' abilities are nerfed somewhat. They're killable with conventional if somewhat futuristic weapons as long as you make sure the core is hit hard, which takes a bit of time for people to get. Think of it like the beginning of Dead Space where the devs implemented other people saying should shoot the limbs to Isaac. People don't immediately figure out where the DD's weak point is but in the ensuing firefight, they take notice of drones that get hit hard in the chest stay down and they start to communicate this information to others. In the end, Uzi and Doll manage to wear out the primary host and distract it long enough for Tessa to hit it with a sealing piece to drive its influence off of the universe. This is just some ideas, you can probably sprinkle in a few character deaths before Tessa finally lands the hit. I'm too tired to note where to place character deaths that serve as a highlight of the Solver's ruthlessness. Maybe the ragtag team that Tessa managed to bond with before the finale. Up to your imagination

My fellow Lords (and ladies) I, Archduke Anon of the Empire, have come to deliver a message of possible dire import. If you are in happenstance need of mercenaries against the dire solverite horde, whatever thou shalt do, if you see this soldier of fortune (Court painter depiction attached), DO NOT HIRE HER BAND. This mercenary has cause my capital county more trouble than I care to account. But I shall summarize their misdeeds. >Plundering the local brewery >Harassing the peasants with esoteric lore >Challenging my retainers to multiple duels (all of which she lost) >Completely botching the siege of an overrun castle >And last but not least completely ruining my feast when she barged in uninvited drunk I hope you take this warning with its dire implications, Your demesne may thank me!

I had fun reading it, as soon as the action started I pretty much knew who was behind this, I very well remember Megumin, but I thought she had a different personality, but this is written very well, I could easily imagine all of this thanks to the descriptions you gave, it's impressive that you decided for them to get pommeled pretty hard, and you made it somewhat realistic that they could lose, since they were caught by surprise and use fear for them to not be at the best of their abilities, also the drawings are nice. Good work Friend!
