Painstaking linework and precise details, almost inspires me to pick up my pens again though I have barely a fraction of draftsmanship compared to that piece. We tried to make one back in the day, but between that thread being old as balls and the inherent nature of MD combat(high lethality, high maneuverability battles built around regen + crippling blows + various gadgets/gimmicks) I can see how its at least a little difficult to design in a satisfying/players don't die instantly way.

Also: Glitch would release a 5e clone and you know it. Maybe a Cybershit Red (the agony of what they did to that game) knockoff if they're being REAL creative, but they're a toy company so I doubt it. Might one day get Murder Drones Monopoly though.

My advice is not to "Git gud", it is you have to actually commit to drawing and do studies on the side. you cant "Git gud" without actually at least one thing drawing every day. Have you ever noticed how all of my images are marked with a number ranging from 1-739? thats how many images i've drawn each number is a new drawing i made. you have to draw a fuck ton of bad shit to draw even remotely decent stuff.

But yes, grinding fundamentals is the best way to "Git gud". Thats not to say you need to grind your nose and mindbreak yourself with fundamental drawings everday, but rather draw your favorite characters and use your fundimental practice do that. instead of drawing 1000 gorbillion boxes draw boxes and turn those boxes into the thing you want to draw. Personally every drawing I make is a study that i turn into a piece of personal art. very rarely do i draw something just to fulfill my fundies quota and don't actually make it something i want to draw.

Like I said it's from an offsite fic: essentially a regular intelligence human reincarnated into Murder Drones *without* mnowing anything about the series. Spends 90% of the fic establishing political systems, battle plans, and just generally trying to rally the canon Workers into a functioning army(whilst discovering that other drone factions do indeed exist, mainly in the subway systems). Shacks up with Doll becaus they both want the MDs dead that badly.

As for the fic itself it's pretty good in the first half. Falls off after the "underdark" arc, but that's just because the author was desperate to redeem J + V and resorted to absolute bullshit to manage it. Also he SHOULD have used the "antagonist Uzi" plot thread he'd been building up the entire fic, but whatever.
