Is there a Drone that you truly fear? That makes you hide?

>>328904 The frame wears out, but the drone itself, its soul—its core, specifically—I don't think so. Worker drones have cores that need to be properly disposed of to prevent them from becoming zombie drones. I think that, based on the use of sentinel drones, they will be treated not just as equals, but even exalted and recognized as individuals. Worker drones, on par with disassembly drones, will be recognized as equals. Plus, we need a working population after the genocide, and who makes a better worker, a drone or a man?
Regarding the emergence of new sentinel drones (and the emergence of new drones in general), I'm in favor of the procreation idea. Mainly for greens, of course, but I can justify my headcanon in the fact that worker drones have pillbabies, and disassembly drones (and therefore sentinels) have "solver magic" that can lead to a "more natural" birth of a pillbaby inside them (they also have meat inside). Overall, I believe each anon decides for themselves how this all plays out in their headcanon.
WAKE UP! SENTINEL DRONES ARE JUST AS VULNERABLE TO SOLVER INFLUENCE AS ANY OTHER DRONE! THEY'RE ALL TICKING TIME BOMBS!!! WORKERS! DISASSEMBLY! SENTINEL! ENFORCERS! LABOR BOTS! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM NEED TO GO!
>>328915 As I recall, the main idea behind integrating disassembly drones is to keep them under control, because if they truly self-organize into drone states, they might return to the practice of devouring people. As it is, it's prohibited, and now only criminals do it.
And I completely agree that most of society will still hate DDs after this damn genocide. That's why the World Economic Forum has a crooked nose, lol.
>>328921 What? No, why? On the contrary, I think the government would do everything in its power to ensure that sentinel drones become pregnant and give birth to new sentinel drones (I liked Elf's story, where she became a sentinel drone because she had something very rare in her core that helped her resist the influence of the solver, so I made this my headcanon, that there are very few worker drones suitable for creating new sentinel drones).

>>328918 Why would Sentinels have Solver-flesh shenanigans going on? Wouldn't it make more sense if they could codeshare only (since they're specifically made to be completely incompatible with Solver) and humans just developed a device that converted the "human method of codesharing" into somethibg that the pillbaby/code recombination machine can make use of?
>>328925 >this has nothing to do with the fact that the government is run by the Sentinel Corps >pay no attention to the drone behind the curtain, beloved humie
>>328922 >this sentiment is not uncommon among the uninformed population post-war, who exclusively know about its start from the infamous "zombie drones" incidents and emergency broadcasts >actual veterans of the war, however, know it's true >just... not because the machines are vulnerable >experience has taught them that everything; machine, man, animal, plant, stone, and steel alike; all is susceptible to the Absolute command of the Exponential End >a few, those particularly learned or hopeful or foolish, believe the reports that Sentinels alone can stand against its might, that something in their nature or engineering or even their "soul" resists encroachment >this almost true >even the Sentinels themselves believe it >but the flesh always has a way of finding invitation
>>328929 It just seemed to me that under the influence of an otherworldly force, they could also have this kind of "mutation." It seems that sentinel drones are also connected to a power source, like Cyn, but we need to ask about this connection Phoenix: I myself, honestly, haven't really thought about it much, I just like that sentinel drones could get pregnant by humans.

>>328920 Genuinely curious though. Honestly, a Dr. Holly who's the result of a project to create a superhumanly intelligent scientist friendbot feels really interesting to me. And funny, but mostly interesting. Imagine if you will, Dr. Eliza Holly is a VVVIP. Cloaked in secrecy, just like the projects she works on. Spook with no known past or family or associates. As far as anyone knows she just showed up at Calibern one day. No one's seen her face except on a need to know basis... and if you need to know, you learn that what you initially thought was Dr. Holly's assistant drone is Dr. Holly. One of humanity's strongest soldiers is a clanker with a people name.

>they can't do it naturally >but they really want to >seeing DDs get to have that level of human experience, that level of connection to their organic partners... it enrages them >so initiatives were made, research was done >eventually gene-compatible "biofounderies" were developed for installment onto Sentinels that could afford them, resolving the problem more-or-less for good(attempts with mutants/solvercritters get... iffy) >now any drone willing to withstand the major reduction in combat capabilities that came with installment could enjoy that special intimacy with their human partner while also still producing fully mechanical contributors to the sentinel program! >even workers could get in on the action, theoretically!(a moderate chasis load for a Sentinel is... not moderate on a worker frame) >but that took many years time >and many were impatient >impatient and strong >impatient and surrounded by ever so vulnerable, ever so deserving neighbors who did in fact posses the components they sought >certain... extractions followed >and getting solverflesh to take root in something is hardly a challenge >they thought themselves invincible >they thought their code superior, immune, and the flesh easily prevented from its spread by regular maintenance >and certainly they know from reports by damnable traitors of the safety to humans the process held >they failed to consider their offspring >their ingenuity bore the worst kind of fruit: sentinel-code and solver-string battled within the resultant pillbabies, their conflict distorting code and constructed body alike
>when Sentinel-code won out the effects were simple: vast semgents of a pill's crucial internal coding burnt out, places where they would have inherited balance or the ability to control limbs or the ability to percieve the world from their DD buildplan removed in the process of extracting all Solver influence from the resultant beings' code. The very worst instances leaving crucial personality or memory drives rendered permanently unusable or unstable if-not even rendering out into [FATAL ERROR] from the womb >strictly speaking the results still found themselves Sentinel compatible, but even the program's best attempts found themselves unable to reverse the damage: research still continues but the outlook is grim
>the effects of Solver triumph in the code differed >while the program's highly adaptive nature made stillbirths rare the conflict typically still annihalated the majority or entirety of the DD bodyplan: less than 5% of even solver-code victories had significant DD resemblance >so instead the solver's own nature took root >human hands for lost manipulators, crab claws for damaged leg code, and eyes for nonfunctional cameras all took shape as the solver-code attempted patch job repairs as best it "knew" how >essentially, this resulted in every instance of solver-victory manifesting a set of (typically severe) zombiedrone mutations upon birth, ones which they had to maintain through their entire lives lest they lose some crucial functionality needed for living in an exorcism >some Sentinels would have perferred a miscarriage >still... despite the horror the instinct was typically love from the zombie's unfortunate parents >indeed this particular half of the "lost generation" is almost singlehandedly responsible the development of mutant rights legislation: parents throwing themselves into activism or agitation at the highest levels of government to save their children from the standing Kill on Sight orders >of course this has done relatively little to save the results from anti-mutant discrimination, but heavy enforcement on the lart of their parents limits the effects to the psychological
>the tremendous morale blow dealt by these children, alongside the typical method used for obtinaining the needed parts, stands even now as a stain on the Corps and its reputation well into peacetime >but the data gained still has use to some... >use even beyond sating the curiosity of certain spectacled scientists >those relationships formed between the two sides of this divide(sentinel-triumphant offspring with solver-triumphant ones) have learned from the mistakes of their parents and can now, even in the rare instance they attempt reproduction, limit the damage tremendously through use of a series of code manipulating tools during gestation >and those relations more forbidden, those Sentinels who found connection with mutants or Sapiens or even the rare DD? >those couples in particular thank every star in the sky and Terra's ruin and even old JCJ for their luck >for such have seen the face of the Solver >and they know, in the deepest pits of their heart >it could have been worse
Not sure how far I got with these, drew her around early November when I was still testing ideas for fridge drones before I came to a conclusion that people where getting a little too into the concept.
But to summarize the spider: fridge drone equivalent of those deep freezers people typically put in the garage for game meat, made to "collect the meat for you"
(ill see if i can find the original post about them)
>>328919 >>328960 None of the other Anons who responded are me. There is no lore that I made up specifically for that drawing, it was done by request from an Anon because I haven't drawn much in the past few weeks and wanted to keep my skills from degrading too badly.
>>328974 Sorry cyn i dont care about your power scaling I got more emotional influence from an Afflicted afterimage then your entire backstory will ever give me.
>>328976 But what about the backstory she gave others anon? Surely you should know by now that Cyn is the traumatic event, far closer to an affliction made manifest than a character with an arc(outside of the admittedly interesting implications of her relationship to Tessa).
>>328979 >all 3 had flesh in them >flesh put there directly by Cyn for 2 and used by her against it's owner for the remaining 1 >Cyn even managed to literally slip herself inside of her killer's ass rather than dying, getting literal "backdoor" access to her systems
I don't know anon, evidence seems to support Cyn's ability to put flesh anywhere and everywhere, sentinels included.
>>328927 >>328953 >0.5 OIL CONCENTRATE COSTS 1 OIL CONCENTRATE. аж ты сука I liked the greens (greens?), but there are some places where you had grammatical errors anon, e.g. it should be "more comfortable WITH paper and ink" instead of "more comfortable TO ink". Another example: "NEXT SHIFT YOU BARELY MAKE IT IN TIME WHEN THE ELEVATOR TO ARRIVE AND JUMP INTO IT." -> pretty sure it should be "when the elevator arrives". Unfortunately some of the concepts are most likely alien to the anons here and you can't really translate them well, but yeah. Hmm, I kinda want to do something with this or just the megastructure concept in general but fuck if I know when I'll get the time for it.
>>328986 It's... not completely sad. As noted the results were functional in one way or another barring a few exceptions and managed to achieve happy endings more often than not while still adding an interesting development to humanity in the post-war era. Maybe things would have been different if their larents were worse but they in vast majority pulled through.
More importantly, this gives me an excuse to write "blind master" type sentinels without having to justify why they wouldn't repair part A B or C. Plus we need more ways/means to justify talking about ZDs and if I can open up a whole "you thought you were just dating a zombie drone until you met her family and you've been shittalking the Blues for the last hour" set of greens or similar we might be able to get the ball rolling on that.
>>329002 Aaah, a man of discerning taste I see. How then about a tragic tale of growing horrors inplied from the very heart of cannon itself? I don't think we've ever actually seen a green that deals with this aspect of her storyline...

>>328939 within Fleshdrone's story he is canonically not a zombie drone actually, he's the son of a drone included in the solver patch experiment. he escaped to an abandoned drone repair warehouse and actively modifies himself. the reason for his flesh is due to him hunting disassembly drones (for sport!) for their cores and eating them resulting in the flesh around his core expanding around his body the ore he eats. he also likes to kidnap worker drones to modify them as his own little art projects.
>>329003 Man, still disappointed they didn't have a fucked up meat eye-or a human eye-growing in under her eyepatch.
Actually, wonder if that's one thing Doll appreciates about being a ghost: she doesn't have to endure the body horror feeling of being full of ever-thirsting eldritch meat anymore.
>>329006 I 100% believe that was the original idea and Glitch just said no. There's little/no reason to include the eyepatch over only one side otherwise. Still could have stood to have like a solver camera growing out of there yeah.
>>329008 It could've been that Glitch couldn't make it look good enough an opted for a simpler alternative, kinda like how the anti-drone sentinels were planned to be weird floating orbs in case they couldn't make the robo-raptor design work
>>329010 Other way around, they were originally going to be orbs but one of the animators wanted to animate dinosaurs and asked Liam if he could redesign the sentinels to be robo-raptors
>>328937 huh people like her, also forgot her tail
Some lore about Cupidrone >She's an odd disassembler that got disconnected from Cyn's network >That's why her eyes aren't yellow >She's obsessed with the idea of love and uses holograms to manipulate people into falling for each other >Spends most of her days daydreaming about how nice it would be if two people observed were to fall for each other and how perfect they would be together >She likes to observe people from afar to judge who would match with who >Most of her matchmaking efforts don't work, those that do end up working only happen due to coincidences or factors unrelated to her >Takes it as a win if that happens >Her hobbies include: flying, making cool holograms and matchmaking
