A colossal biohorror the size of a small building wielding between 2-5 heavy singularity-laser weapons which can fire independently or focus to produce a single extremely powerful, extremely long ranged attack. Semi-intelligent, capable of coordinating it's fire with other similar creatures as well as using other smaller creatures senses to target it's fire outside of it's own sensory range. Limited ability to utilize Scatter Protocol to shield itself from incoming energy or projectile attacks, unable to fire it's primary weapons simultaneously.
Will see if I can throw something more out tonight, I'm pretty worn out compared to the previous few days.
Anon, in your opinion, is the Cyn army just a horde or a more coordinated force, along the lines of the Zerg from StarCraft? I'd just like to get your perspective to see how best to represent all these creatures on the battlefield, and also, I noticed that you use the number of solver cores in a creature to denote its ‘rank,’ since they are a power source, yes?
>>232284 As to organization, I imagine there to be very little unless Cyn's attention is drawn to a particularly complex, valuable, or amusing conflict. We know for instance that she is capable of planning in the long term and directing intelligent minions to accomplish discreet tasks for her, but we also see solver biomass grow and spread without her direct oversight as well. Recall the manor drones who exploded into flesh in N's memories and how tentacles that moved of their own volition were already growing out of them, as well as the living nature of the biomass in the cathedral level of Cabin Fever. I imagine that while Cyn's focus drifts from interest point to interest point the solver biomatter just keeps spreading and growing on it's own, as it absorbs more drones it naturally starts to grow some more creatures to help spread itself faster by killing and absorbing more drones and humans and any other useful material it might need. The flesh stuff in Cabin Fever labs seems mostly inert, it never really got attacked and it was in a harsh, low-resource environment so its growth seems to have just petered out and stopped, but in the Earth flashback we see indications that not only can many DDs be spawned but also some kind of solver form that's more like building-scale can also exist, big enough to snatch helicopters out of the sky with a single tentacle. I figured that it's reactive, the more its poked the more aggressive and complex it grows, but only as needed. Special perfected creatures like the DDs are only going to be created by Cyn's direct intervention, otherwise the flesh just amalgamates drone parts, random machinery, and raw biomass together to create some kind of living tool to deal with the new environment.
>>232284 Also yes, as I said in one of the previous posts I don't figure these are exactly identical "units" like in a videogame or like in a conventional military, each one is just an exemplar of it's typical form, the Solver biomass never producing identical, homogenous creatures that conform to a pattern.
Are you planning on making more creatures, along the lines of flying creatures or ones designed to punch through fortifications, for example? Also, are you thinking of coming up with a concept for a human army in the future? I understand if you end up with those three creatures, they already look cool.
>>232291 Mutants can act as cannon fodder. Rapid infestation brings a large number of light, disposable infantry, which allows you to destroy or at least disorganise humanity's defences so that they can be penetrated more easily by other creatures.
>>232291 >Does this lore ignore mutants? They can exist or not, I don't care either way, I have no preplanned intent to incorporate anyone else's characters or concepts. >Is this a new AU? Don't know, don't care, if someone wants to bounce ideas off me or incorporate solver creature concepts I make into their own stuff they are welcome to do so. I am not a big fan of "AUs" as of now. My lore "constraints" are that I want these beasties to be at least plausible in the context of the show as we know it. I feel confident that there can be giant solver monsters because we know there are giant solver monsters, one tentacle at least as long as a tall building, and of course Cyn's giant planet-eating construct with energy tendrils that can reach from the surface of a planet all the way up into orbit. I feel confident there could be solver-ized spaceships and other absorbed human technology, I feel like there could be more Cynwalker like creatures made up of humans forcibly smashed together with drones. Any worldbuilding outside of the specific creatures or human military units or other shit I might think up is not something I'm super interested in, nor will I squabble about it with any "um ackshually" retards or "drones??" retards, or people who want to see a specific beloved human or mutant character represented.
Basically, I'm just dumping neat monster ideas that are rattling around in my head, might draw some human tanks or soldiers if the bug bites me to do so, and I'll attach some simple background info to them if I can think of something cool and plausible within the existing setting. I would not encourage anyone to read any deeper into it than that unless they want to use it or change it to suit their own creative endeavors.
>>232295 Well, I definitely want to put these creatures in Solver war and Veteran AU.
Solver war feels a bit empty to me right now. Sure, we have Jane, B, Abby and Pauline, as well as Buddy with VSOTF, but those are all characters, OC's, and I like building the WHOLE world. I spend a lot of time thinking about what the battles in Solver war would look like, what the solver creatures look like, how they fight, what their particular strength is, and I also envision an army of humans as well as a federation society that is at war with God and it needs to be aware of that somehow. So I welcome any anon's ideas for world building, and right now I'm especially excited about your ideas, anon.
And yes, by the way, going on about huge monsters is based. I'm a fan of fighting huge creatures, with each other or against them, to be shown the full power of a huge and massive body that with one movement can destroy entire buildings(Yes, the Pacific Rim is my favourite series of films, how did you know?).
>>232301 A sufficient bombardment by cruise missiles or other heavy weaponry could bring one down, its greatest asset is that it never migrates alone, it’s always surrounded by other aggressive solver biotitans. Think of it like a walking land aircraft carrier, full of DDs and other creatures. Even if it does take too much damage it will literally spill out its guts and shiver itself apart into hundreds or even thousands of smaller creatures. You’re right about nukes and other strategic scale weapons being the most reliable option.
>>232287 I like to think that the proto drone-mutants that we seen in the manor memory was used in the war at first to see how efficient they are against humans in “lets see how far they can go” way. When the mutant-drones were starting to show how easily defeated they are, thats when Cyn improved on her toys to the disassembly drones we all know.
>>232304 If this thing is something like a mothership, then yes, a weapon of mass destruction that is aimed at a scattered strike over an area, rather than one that is aimed at a pinpoint strike at a single target, would be effective against it.
I can see dozens of missiles soaring into the sky, carrying the retribution of humanity that will wipe the advancing horde of creatures off the face of the planet, and how afterwards infantry in radioactive protection suits backed by armoured vehicles will clear the battlefield of the remnants of the apocalypse army.

i feel like i need to clarify something very important if i want to flesh out enforcer drones more. theres 2 continuities, mainline and jonesline. yeah thats the best i can come up with. the difference between the 2 is that 1. mainline takes place in 3068-3072, jonesline - during the solver war. 2. theres only 1 of each enforcer drone model in mainline, while in jonesline theres 500 overseers, 3000 handlers and 7000 juggernauts in total. basically, one is self-contained, other is intertwined with the solver war AU.
MAINLINE: >Manufacturing such an overengineered series of drones was not only expensive, but also very difficult. In the end, only a single instance of each model was made as a test run, 2 months before the Solver destroyed humanity, mind you. >As a result, they never got to see any use. They were never even activated in the first place. The 3 sat in a random facility on an abandoned planet for decades until they were mysteriously activated in 3068 as a last ditch effort to destroy the Absolute Solver, an impossible task, even for them. >Whoever activated them lead the otherwordly being to their home planet, where the enforcer trio hid out for several days, occasionally scuffling with DD armies, too uninformed to understand the immense disadvantage they were at, too stubborn to surrender and retreat. >A week later, the Solver managed to track them down. It attacked them, separated them and ended up getting ahold of Handler. Seeing value in the previously unseen specimen, in just a few seconds, the Solver infiltrated his mind and was about to turn him into a host, when the process was suddenly interrupted. >The Overseer intervened, warping him out of harm's way, thousands of miles away. Unfortunately, it was too late by then. The only option left was to manually delete most of Handler's mind. That's why he's the way he is. He grew out a third arm as a defense mechanism, so that noone would ever ambush him ever again. They left the planet shortly after. >Now the enforcer trio roams the galaxy, traveling planet-to-planet in search of the fated rematch. Rarely, they stumble onto something interesting, but it's mostly blown up celestial objects, lots of them. They see those way too often considering how vast space is. A constant reminder of their failure.
JONESLINE: >The first batch of enforcer drones was released 13 years prior to the Solver War. Originally, there were 300 overseers, 2000 handlers and 4000 juggernauts. 3 years after, the second batch was released over the course of 5 months, bringing the total number up to 500, 3000 and 7000 respectively. None were made after. >When the Solver War began, 2800 juggernauts, 1200 handlers and 1 overseer was deployed on Earth. The "story" mostly follows the Juggersquad, or to be more specific, Commander Jones, the most incompetently competent juggernaut to have ever lived. >There are many more notable individuals and groups, some have yet to be expanded upon. The characters that have been named so far are: Jules Goldman, Janice (Jones' wife), Sciencenaut, N457 and N456.

>>232328 Sans is an Ur-Fascist which is why he goes ur-ur-ur-ur-ur and is the Nietzschean Ubermensch standing against the existential Nihilism embodied by The First Human. I find it interesting that everything I have heard about that game's "full release" ($25 for half) indicates Toby has fully gone the route of Woke '20s safe edgy goyslop in direct opposition to the first game's messages and how he was clearly setting up something dark as fuck and similar to MGS2 in the Chapter 1 Demo.
I thought of an Au where there is no Cyn but Copper-9 is still abandoned with drones. So a human is sent to figure out what went wrong, either Mitchell or Tessa, but the worker drones just follow them around and stare. No talking or anything, they just follow the human around.

>>232337 >When drones were allowed into politics, it led to... unexpected results >One of the first parties open by worker, disassembly and even sentinel drones was the All-Union Communist Party of Drones >People expected them to offer standard ideas like more benefits for beggars and more taxes for business >But the party's first proposal was the generalisation of all human men >Only the combined efforts of all human parties, from communist to openly fascist saved billions and billions of men >But every year the drone population grows, and so does their political weight >Humanity awaits with fear the day of total drone victory >For with each passing day, it grows closer
>>232337 You meme but if you look into it the origin of all Communist thought is rooted in the philosophy of the Marquis de Sade and the true reason it wants to forcefully obliterate all private property on a global scale is to return Humanity to its default state as he described it of frolicking naked in fields and fucking babies. "We want private property abolished" is code for "we want access to children" which is why seemingly literally every single Anarcho-Communist that took part in the 2020 violent riots was a sexual predator whenever people looked into it.

Heavy Specialized Trooper of the Solver War, or H.S.T, or just Heavies
These soldiers have been given the best of the best of what Earth thinks can deal with the ever-worsening Solver Incursion, including Heavy Armor, Heavy Arms, robotic Augments, and pain surprisingly implants. Unknown to them, the implants they are given come with some hidden features their government has put in to keep them fighting for the glory of their world. They will have no sympathy, no empathy, not a flicker of a feeling for the Mutant or the Drone. Despite all they were given they are still rather ineffectual for the war, but they slow down total annihilation.
Their weaponry and gear is as rare as seeing one in the field, and they take special care in its recovery and safety as Earth has lost the means to recreate it at these late stages of the war. The total destruction of a city and its people is less valuable to a Heavy than the gun they carry.

As I understand it, these are elite soldiers who fulfil the role of stormtroopers from modern combat units? I mean, do they pierce the defences of the solver abominations or take on the worst bastards while the common infantry take on the rest of the less dangerous masses and support them afterwards? I'd like to know their position in the command structure of the army better.
>>232444 Totally agree. Glad solver war is getting more content and ideas now, my autism is loving it!
you guys hear about that big fire at the drone factory downtown? they were able to recover most of the completed drones from the factory floor, but there are a handful unaccounted for. no scrap, no melted remains, it's like the unactivated drones just up and vanished. the manufacturers put a bounty on them, suspecting someone took advantage of the fire to steal a few drones but see, here's the thing– I don't think they were stolen. I think they got up and walked out of there. something did, anyway. lotta abandoned buildings around these parts– and lately, when I'm in the area, I swear I've seen little glowing eyes peering out from dusty windows. always at least three sets, sometimes more– and when they shift between windows, they all move at once in lockstep. it's eerie. what's really got me worried though is I think they know I saw them– and each time I see them in a different building, it's a little bit closer to my house
>>232457 I imagine Heavies would exist outside of normal military operations, only to be used when most crucial. Only a few can exist, so the loss of one and their equipment is a huge detriment. That said, any battle they are in is at least not going to be a total stomp for the Solver, they are at best going to slow down oblivion. It would be cool to think they give covering fire and slow down bigger targets as the weakling basic soldiers charge in to do what they can.
They are far above normal soldiers because of this. only really taking commands for Higher up. They don't respect Regs and care more about their weaponry then the normal human (mostly due to brainwashing) god help us when that Higher Up could just be the solver
>>232462 I wonder if a Heavy group, knowing a battle is about to be lost, would ditch the soldiers to regroup and attack elsewhere, making them sort of like a shock assault group of hit and runs.

I understand when they are fighting 24/7 during war: there are too few of them and the front is moving EVERYWHERE, but in peacetime, when only wild mutants and disassemblers, plus underground cells of fanatic soldiers are a threat, they can be put to sleep for a while.
>>232552 My headcanon is that all the crossed out stars on """tessa's""" patch represented just the major capital planets and that there were dozens of backwater planets that people evacuated to as the war went on. Cyn's army was busy picking them off as she went to finish off the leftovers of Copper-9 herself, only for them to stop in their tracks once she bit off more than she can chew. Without the threat of imminent destruction, Humanity eventually migrated and coalesced onto the most habitable of the remaining planets as their new capital.

The General Technology class 6 "Ostrog" All-Environment Powered Combat Harness suit isn't form fitting. Its flexible joints can be altered with a range of +/- 6", with the default setting based on the average height of a USF citizen (5' 8") meaning that any user between the heights of 5'2" and 6'2" can comfortably step into a suit without the need for modifications. This is a major reason for the oversized domed shields at the elbows and knees. The wearer wears a flexible thickly padded body glove which combines the functions of temperature regulation, vacuum protection, cut and small arms resistance, flame and reactive chemical protection, shock absorption and haptic feedback using a network of microsensors in contact with the user's skin at key areas of movement. The body glove links to the armor feeds it data on the user's height, weight, joint positions, and biometrics allowing the armor to be configured and ready for use from a cold start in as little as half an hour. At this point without any fine-tuning at all the suit is already 85% of maximum theoretical combat effectiveness. Once fitted with a haptic suit almost any many or woman could step right into the armor. Due to the rate of KIAs this ease of use is actually considered more valuable than almost any other defensive or utility feature of the armor. Due to production demand and supply chain bottlenecking the armor layer itself was changed early on from Atomically Collapsed CromTanium-B (An alloy of Titanium, Chromium, Selenium and trace metals compressed to an atomically perfect single crystal) to the heavier, less protective Polymetal-G (Alloy 18) used in common combat vehicles. While able to shrug off all small and medium human weapons this armor setup struggles to protect the user from hypervelocity projectiles and has only a very limited ability to shed energy weapon attacks, it can with sufficient force be cut through by the Alloy 21 found in the teeth, claws, and other appendages of common Solver bioforms.
It's powered by a general purpose rechargeable fuel cell which is basically identical to the one Uzi picks up to finish her railgun, just much larger, about the size of a gallon jug of water. It can power the armor in standby mode (No jumpjets, no energy weapons, minimum strength augmentation) for as much as one week of continuous use, or up to ten hours of combat between charges. Damage to the power cell results in a predictably catastrophic detonation comparable to a fairly large conventional bomb.

Can I fuck my Car in the exhaust pipe until she blows a gasket? Can my Car tuck me in the back seat as I fall asleep after a long night of passionately shagging? Can my Car play soft ambiance over the radio and carefully regulate the temperature so that I get the best sleep possible? Can I marry my Car?

>>233016 I justify the fact that all liquidators are human, by the necessity for them to have weapon.
Drones, with the exception of sentinel, are forbidden to have weapon or carry weapon: this is one of the Union government's defence mechanisms to prevent drones from completely dominating humanity. The only exception is the police force, to be able to deter criminal drones, for whom human cops would be no more scary than a chihuahua.
Also, I think it would be the responsibility of the liquidators to confront hordes of mutants and monsters if the infestation gets out of control. I see them as more than just dudes with masks and flamethrowers, because to fight solver flesh and wild mutants, you need weapons and combat training. It's a whole small army, with its own organisation, command, supply, war machines and bases. Of course, they will be under civilian rather than military authority, resulting in much worse supply and training overall, but they will still be able to contain the mass infestation long enough for the main forces to arrive.
