Friends, Drones. Straight to the point we need to go, we need to talk about the Drones right now, because they are Drones. Sex with drones. Sex with mutants. Sex with solver sapiens. Sex with (You) Sex with ghosts (oil or otherwise) Sex with… humans?? Sex with THE Solver. Sex with Liam (eugh)
>>213093 Based purist. And for the limbs? Sometimes they stay anatomically correct but have thicker, shapelier legs than canon. Or a different pelvis, it can be great if designed well
Molli becoming obsolete to the company! Molli getting her clothes, hair and even voice repossessed! Molli getting thrown out onto the street! Molli being cold and alone! Molli crying herself to sleep with a voice that isn't her own!

HOW ARE WORKER DRONES AND DISSEMBLER'S SO WELL DESIGNED, THAT'S BECOMING MORE SCARCE AND RARE THESE DAYS MAN!? HOW!!!!!?!
>>213131 Even with the fact that she has to deal with Cynthia, she's going to be over the moon over being trusted with the manor. She'll lord it over V and N all she can. N once he's done defragging and is used to having limbs again, of course.
>>213088 I love on 100% on model drones, but I also love it when the make smartly slight changes to their hips to make em like DD hips too, but anything past that is going into basically just humans with visors tier imo

>>213170 Aaaayaaa I know!!! Alice wearing no colours is excellent design, what ahot hot body you say it, look at that crisp chestshell, that round pelvis, the tastefull thickness of it...oh my God, she even got that collar...and collarbones...and chestlight....and it is canon that if she leans down enough you can see tbe 00 of her 1001 below, that detail is such utter sex it cannot be elaborated on any further! >How are so well? >>213314 >From where is he? A trilogy of games called Chronos: Before the Ashes, Remnant: From the Ashes, and Remnant 2. First one is a Soulsclone where your character ages one year every time you die and the other two are third person shooters. All of them have to do with traveling to different worlds to find a way to kill the evil tree monsters that destroyed Earth.
>>213327 Shit, I forgot to mention that Remnant 1 and 2 have roguelike elements meaning that the campaign is slightly randomized each time you play it. That might impact your decision to play it.
V raped Anon and none of the drones in the bunker called her out on it Not even Anon's girlfriend Emily She almost did but V just smiled at her and said "he'll always think of me when he's with you." Emily can't look Anon in the eye anymore
>>213330 I was about to loredump on you but realized that it's a lot extraneous information that you probably don't need or care about. Basically unethical experiments resulted in someone realizing that reality is a simulation and that turned him into an omnicidal tree that started overgrowing the entire planet and started invading other realities. The Keeper (reality's operating system) isolated it and replaced it with a restoration point of Earth but it leaked out anyway. Once you reach it at the end of Remnant 2, the Root has grown so prolific that it begins destabilizing with its mere presence and the enemies can inflict a status effect called "Corrupted" which prevents you from using your abilities. After killing the final boss, it starts reconstituting itself and the Keeper says that it's "corruption is inviolate" so the only solution now is to delete all of existence.

frog woman aint "md" enough? new canon fact: pauline takes disassembly DICK up her back-holes. pocketslops wont refute this because he knows it to be true. AND i threatened to put him in the contraption if he doesnt comply. checkmate.

>Anons Are employees >Bored out of their minds 90% of the time, dealing with Plush-based-Bullshit the other 10% >Pay is just good enough for them to stay.
>Plushes arent technically "alive", but get up to hyjinks when noone is looking, depending on the plush.
That's it, my Gobots autism just keeps getting worse please send help. Now Leader-1 has to fight a Solverpede >Leader-1 sat at the bridge of the Command Center, watching the hypnotic swirls of the perpetual blizzard that plagued the frigid wastes of Copper-9 from low orbit. How long had it been since anyone had been here? Ever since the last inhabitable worlds in the galaxy went dark, the only solution was to place people's bodies and minds in these mechanical shells to survive. As to why they were nearly 18 feet tall and transformed into vehicles, nobody truly knew. Maybe it was for security purposes or something, but it made doing anything a bitch and a half at best. >As to why he was on the bridge while everyone else remained in stasis, he just kept looking at those weird transmissions that kept coming from this very planet. It was probably a trap from... Whatever did all this, but he had to investigate just to be safe. He put the place on autopilot and quietly exited through the airlock. Moving in a vacuum was still weird even after all this time. The weightlessness and whatnot. Activating the rockets in his feet for a little starting momentum, he inched his way through the planet's atmosphere, taking extra care to not burn up. He didn't want to test this body when he first got it, and he wasn't about to start. >After about a solid hour of this careful start-and-stop descent, he saw the ruins of this place. Cities, covered in toxic snow and human skeletons. Those... Workers, he forgot what they were actually called, also littered the place like discarded garbage, which was a sorry sight at best. He didn't know how any of this happened, and maybe it was best it remained that way for now. As his feet touched the ground, the heat of his afterburners melting the snow around him a tad, he surveyed the area he landed in. It was still sorry as hell, that much remained true >Then he saw it. One of those worker-thingies walking around. Purple optics gazed upon him and fled into the murk. Just what had happened here?
Just realized that, re: Negev's eyes on the inside, Uzi realizing why her daughter has been in absolute terror of her from the moment she first laid eyes on her would instantly wipe out YEARS of progress Uzi had made towards accepting being stuck as an abomination.
>>213418 >NTA Yeah, but this is better in my opinion since this isn't some weird form of OC torture that only caused issues in how Anons perceived new characters or greens
>>213433 Because you took too long to respond I'll just assume what your confused about. Negev has the ability to see what Uzi really is, unfortunately for Negev she can't turn off this ability, she always sees Uzi's true horrific Solverpede form. This ability also extends to Negev being able to perceive other things normal Drones cannot such as the escaped data from the end of episode 8, this takes the form of Rebecca, Emily, and Doll's ghosts, but in another greentext this extended to seeing other horrific invisible demonic beings.

>>213474 I can't tell what you're getting at. I'm saying V seems to have only suspected something was off but didn't know what specifically was wrong until she saw the Absolute Solver had fused its Cyn suit to a Tessa suit.
>>212972 >>212975 Just had this mental image of Uzi looking at her freaky human hand tentacles (hard to type with her original body's hands-her hands-when there's no sense of touch in them anymore) for a good while before first writing anonymously to Negev, trying to accept that these are just as much the hands of a woman who loves her daughter very much and wants her to find peace as her original hands are.
My name is Abigail. I'm [xx] years old. I serve in the military, and I am not married. I work as a logistical officer as well as mutant exterminator, and I get done every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with the war, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.
>>213488 Is this a reference to the unsuspicious Moloch statue being fed notrealtotallyfake children at the renaissance of a people event in Chicago 1933?

>Dolls ghost screaming at Lizzy for her to not fuck her boyfriend anon >She started screaming at Lizzy louder when Lizzy tried convincing anon to fuck Dolls corpse >Unfortunately for Doll, no one can hear or see her
>>213505 I'd say I would as an excuse to have the body, so I can cuddle it and talk to her, apologizing for not being there and saving her despite the fact that I wouldn't have been able to do anything.
>>213487 My name is Ivan. I'm [xx] years old. I am a rifleman in the Third Company, Fifth Battalion, First Regiment, Fifth Brigade, Twelfth Motorised Rifle Division, Thirty-third Union Army. I perform my duties conscientiously, according to the regulations, and endure all the hardships of military service. I regularly undergo a complex of physical training, every day I sharpen my combat skills, so that every day I can be ready to fulfil my military duty and protect my homeland. I do not sympathise with and do not support terrorists and separatists who want to bring discord and hatred to my people. I am ready to fight the enemy wherever the government of The Universal Union of Human Planets sends me. Therefore, I ask to revoke the order of my arrest and return to me the good honour of a warrior, which I have earned by fighting for Humanity and Peace.
Kek, I'm wondering if Liam has ever been a 4chan user. He seems like the typical nerdy millennial that made up and still makes up the bulk of 4chan users.
>In war, every battalion has its soldiers to do the fighting…as well as the dying. >And as in war, every battalion needs its medics. >”Bleh. Zha solution will keep zha infection at bay…zhis bite will not be zhe end of you, fortunately.” >”J-jeez Paulie, I thought that was the end of me! Who knew the best way to prevent Solver infection was soap and orange juice!” >”Azz usual, good hygiene is…underrated,” Pauline said, cleaning the young private’s wound with a sponge. >For the private, as was any good medic, she was a forgiving angel, and the grace on his existence. >For Medical Sergeant Pauline Jeanne-St Laurent, simply known as Paulie by the troops, it wasn’t just a simple part of her job. >It was a duty of hers to save others from experiencing the cruelties of war. >”It ain’t gonna work…he’s still tainted.” >A separate voice sounded from across the busy medical triage. >Pauline didn’t turn to face the girl standing across from her. there was no point in debating. >”Do you actually think he’s gonna live another 24 hours?” the voice began. “Scratch that, I’ll give him 12. Nothing comes back from a bite like that, heh.” >”…Do not disturb zhe patients. I believe until zhe last momente…there will be grace for those under my care.” >”Oh, so it’s an ego thing. I see. Just a backwater girl with a funny accent who thinks the world is sunshine and rainbows.” >This soldier…was trouble. Not just a poor sport, or an unpleasant person to listen to, but genuinely dangerous. >There was no way to put it. There was blood in the water now. >”Zhe call you the ‘Laughing Jane’, don’t zhe? All violence of action, no grace, no mercy. Oh madam, how ever did you develop such…sentiments?” Pauline said, somewhat accusatory. >She didn’t want this conversation, as clever as she was, to spiral as deeply as she knew it could become. More importantly, she didn’t want this person anywhere near the patients. >The soldier followed her out of the room, seemingly incensed. >”Hey, DOC! You damn well know the procedure is to put the damn kid down. Are you a fucking idiot?” >”Mind your rank, and address me by mine, troop.” >”FUCK? You’re putting us all in danger. You don’t know how goddamn deep the rot runs through!” >”I do not have to entertain your cruel judgement! You will leave zhis area, and if I see you again, I will have you arraigned by zhe MP’s! >The soldier relented. And then scoffed. >”You won’t save him. If you can’t put him down, I’LL DO IT.” >Such sentiments had become widespread among the soldiers, in the absence of supplies, or doctors, or casualty evacuation plans. >Pauline knew it was far easier to simply end the suffering as it stood, than to watch the injured become greater threats than they ever could’ve been, had they simply died of their injuries. >Pauline knew. >God forbid, Pauline knew. >”I imagine, you, as a young soldier, has never had to put down anybody you’ve cared about. Just, as it vere, another faceless troop, another enemy dispatched.” >The female soldier perked up, confused. >”If you’ve ever. I imagine you’ve never felt the blood of a comrade in your hands. When you do, you will tell yourself, ‘it was for the greater good’, or even, ‘it was only orders’.” >The soldier reeled, offended. >”You’re saying I WANT to kill our own people. You’re fucking saying that.” >”If it came down to it…I see it in your eyes. I have zero doubts.” Pauline said. >”What is that supposed to mean?” >Pauline paused. >”As long as any of these men are under my care, I will alvays believe in zhier recoverie…and I will not let a damaged girl, acting on impulse, to put them in harms way!” >At this, the soldier exploded in anger. She was tall, and powerful in build, and was easily able to force Pauline to the ground. >”S-STOP HER!” >The soldier forced herself inside the room, and shook the patients inside. Among the wounded were simple sprains, breaks, fragmentation wounds. And the sole, infected soldier. >”NONE OF YOU,” the girl scream, “KNOW HOW BAD IT CAN GET!” >The staff panicked, the nurses were not prepared for such an eventuality. A few tried to block the girl from approaching, knowing damn well she had ill intentions upon the wounded infected. >”YOU DON’T SEE IT!” she screamed again. >”YOU CAN’T FUCKING KNOW!” She grabbed a blunt metal tool from a cart. The girl in her furious ability had repulsed most, the advent of a weapon assured that just about none would interfere in what was to come next. >”AND NOW, YOU WON’T HAVE TO!” >… >And so she struck the infected man. Once, to the side of the head. >Twice, as he screamed in terror. >Third, as the staff pleaded for his life. >And again, and again, and again did she strike. >The room was left a mess, with horrified onlookers, troops and medical officers alike scrambling, afraid to be the next. >But the girl had done what she said she would. She was satisfied with the blood she had drawn. >The bed and the thin fiber sheets surrounding the patient had been doused in blood. More blood than a small youth like him should’ve been able to hold.
>>213521 >The Military Police arrived, the girl still standing grimly over the battered corpse of the private. >She wasn’t sure where the root of the infection had been taken hold, so she had beaten and broken every shoot of flesh just to be sure. >A little bit of brain there, and little grain of tooth there. The room had been thin coated with the scent of iron. >It was a distressing scene, to say the least. >In the midst of the carnage, Pauline found the courage to walk up to the girl, not to retrain her, or to even offer a denouncement. She wasn’t quite sure. >But she did have something to say, however this young soldier would take it. >She locked eyes with the girl. Pauline could see no less than total imperative in her eyes, an untamed, liability of fury. >And so Pauline told her, if only as the briefest of slights, if only to refer to the mass of blood of flesh, which to her horror had seemingly began to reanimate… >”DON’T LET IT BE YOU.” >… >It was in the early years of the war. Those days, that soldier. Pauline didn’t regret any of it. >The soldier, in the despair of those who had watched her commit the horrific act, had proven herself far too necessary in the escalating war effort to simply jail or divest. >The girl was transferred to another unit, effectively a penal battalion in the far off colonies, where she became a hero, a dashing warrior on the frontlines of the most ferocious war man had fought, and was sure to lose. >They still call her the Laughing Jane. >Perhaps this character they called “Jane” had the right idea. You couldn’t run it past Pauline, no matter how bad things got. >To simply kill to cut costs was not the way of a medic. Nor should it have been for any moral soldier. >At what point do the killings stop? How high is the cost to cut? >When you kill everybody else to save yourself? >The end of the war came early for Pauline, perhaps in her grace, before the level of atrocity became too much for any normal woman to bear… >…In a little triage tent, on a planet she knew as home, surrounded by her comrades, the dead and wounded, as the enemy closed in all around her. >The wounded hobbled up to pick up sharp objects and the half infected cocked their weapons, preparing for a final stand. >There was little else for Pauline to do. She didn’t want anything else. She was right where we wanted to be - helping the needy, and lessening the suffering of others. She was a medic at heart. And a medic to the end. >When she had told the words, “Don’t let it be you,” to the girl, she only intended, even as she had already transformed into one, to tell her not to become the monsters which they had so denounced. >The mutated surrounded her. The enemy would take her, and those she had tried to help. >But in the end, Pauline was satisfied. >Though she was to become a monster, she had kept her soul.
>>207463 >[…] >[COMPLETE. INITIATING BOOT SEQUENCE…] >”AH!” >You jolt awake and look around in panic. >Where are you?! How long have you been out for--- >You taste oil. No… >You look at your hands. They’re covered in oil. Your dress too. >You stare at them in horror. What have you done? >Then the smell right next to you hits you. >You slowly look to your side and see another Disassembly Drone. He’s headless, his chest has been torn open and he’s covered in oil. >You scuttle away from him and bring your knees up. You start rocking back and forth as you’re on the verge of having a mental breakdown. >You did it again, SW! Why?! WHY?! WHY DID YOU KILL HIM?! Why did you cannibalize him! >You try to remember. Remember! Think! THINK, ROBO-DAMN IT! THINK, YOU STUPID TIN CAN! >But you can’t remember why you did it. Or why you did it to your squadmates as well. There are…very large gaps in your memory. Things you don’t remember doing. >You take deep breaths, trying to force more air into your cooling system to calm down. Eventually, it does and your oil pump stops going into overdrive. >Alright, alright. First things first. You are Serial Designation SW or SW for short. You were built by JCJenson…you think. >Wait, why would you think that? Of course you were built by JCJenson. Why would you be sent to Copper-9 then? >You are a Disassembly Drone with two objectives. One – the extermination of rogue Worker Drones and two – retrieval of highly classified research material from Cabin Fever Labs. >Okay, good. At least you haven’t forgotten who you are. Time to get your bearings. >You look around to get an idea where you are. Smooth floor with small marbles in it, bland colored walls all around you and very cheap looking clothing racks made from square steel pipes welded together. Definitely a second-hand clothing store, one that’s covered in deep layers of dust and grime now that there’s no one to clean it. >There’s nobody in here but you and the corpse. The howl of wind outside sounds heavy, asbestos covering the store windows. >You look at the corpse again. It’s…regrettable what you’ve done, you’re on the same team and all, but you still have a job to do. No time to sob or the company will have you taken apart for being “defective”. >You push yourself up by the desk counter. There’s a singular cash register that’s been looted. Who would want to rob a cash register on a dead planet? >You walk towards the exit of the store, not wanting to stare at the other DD any longer.

>Some Lucky Ducks get all the Luck >Pauline Willis was not one of these lucky ducks, for her entire life seemed to be an unfortunate series of misfortune after misfortune >she seemed to have been cursed from a young age to have terrible luck in all things. Naturally leading to a personality similar to a soaking wet kitten, a gust of wind could probably knock her over. >However through the years she felt as her luck had suddenly taken a turn for the better, she found a stable job she enjoyed as a waitress in a local cafe, with very minimal spills or clumsy mishaps. Even for once Paris France had apartments someone could actually afford. >She began saving money to work a job she really could care for, a Nurse in the medical field. Pauline thought she could really make a difference making people feel better than she did regularly. She started making decent progress in her education as well, only feeling slightly worried her profession would be completely replaced by Worker Drones in the future, the only beings more unlucky and clumsy then she was. >Everything was looking up for Pauline Willis that only the end of the world could dampen her mood. >As the great solver war raged on, more and more countries were forced to conscript average citizens into service to protect the world from invading forces. France was one of these countries, and began pooling its population into drafting to the France sector of the EDF. >Pauline was never actually supposed to be a part of this conscription service due to an outstanding and unfortunate medical history, however due to a complete clerical error she was drafted into service. >Paul Millis lived a peaceful but short life never even knowing of the hell he dodged completely outside of his own control, and died quick and quietly during the first attack by the solver before he had any idea what was going on.
>Pauline, however, spent the next few weeks getting shifted from agonizing duty to duty that only seemed to get worse and worse as the war prolonged. She gained the nickname “Pauling Will Do it” due to her Can Do attitude and general disposability that her commanding officers noted. >Pauline of course never wanted to do any of it, but she was too nervous to actually say no to anything she was told to, she would just stutter a short “y..yes sir” and get on with her business. >One day is taking a flamethrower she wasn't really trained to use and burning some mutations off the wall, the next it's recon into dangerous territory to scavenge and gain intel into what the hell they were even fighting. >The worst they saw were common mutations, tentacles, and the occasional mutant outbreak which only got worse as France was more “humane” than the other sides of the EDF and truly tried to care for mutants they came across instead of putting a bullet in the back of their head. >France was far away from the epicenter of the conflict, every day they learned something new and terrifying about what was released onto the Earth. >Surprisingly enough despite her luck Pauline usually came back from her tasks relatively unscathed outside of some mental scars, the same could not be said for her teammates who must have taken some of her bad luck for her as she would normally be the only survivor. >Her high survival rate in missions combined with her seemingly willingness to do just about anything her commanders made her do made her perfect for just about any mission no one else wanted to do, and she would never refuse. >Her service actually managed to finally get her a position she cared for, a Field Medic to hopefully save some of her teammates. This was the closest she ever got to being the Nurse she dreamed of. Pauline was actually quite capable at her job, in that her patients died much quieter and with much less pain then other Medics in her field. >Pauline was feeling slightly better with her lot in life until a new mission came in, a simple in and out recovery mission outside of France to go see what was happening in a city they had lost radio in right in the worst of the war. This city however, was close to the epicenter of the invasion of earth. >EDF considered this a no go zone, only the worst of the worst was contained here. Pauline heard legends and rumors about the poor squads that were sent out there. There was one with a complete zero survivor recovery rate, and contained some of the poorest souls one could call a soldier despite their survivability rate. >Pauline was not actually supposed to be assigned to this mission, but there was yet another clerical error. >Bauline Wilfred was an average soldier, did his duty well, completely average in every regard. He lived for a good long time until he was sent to the front lines with a landmine strapped to his vest and told to charge in a desperate measure as the first Disassembly Drones made their way to France. >When Pauline first got the details of her mission she could feel her heart skip multiple beats, every line felt like a death sentence. It wasnt until she was told they would be doing recon in Helicopters did she start to relax. >Pauline knew that while the mutations and tentacles were bad, there was nothing she encountered that could touch them in the sky. This mission on paper, would really be as simple as going in and going right back out. >Pauline got in the helicopter with a few other people who she didnt take the time to talk to and got ready to soar out to the city.

>>213796 >war being waged on Earth against some demon thing and all? the only logical solution to do this to destroy all their ships on earth via missals, killing whoever was on earth now, waiting till all the DD’s die out from no oil, the humans on earth during that still survived, well… it’s a small price to pay, not like they will know what happened, they’ll blame the solver for it, you and me being the only ones who know the truth, in the end, money all around
>>213762 >Pauline didn't even know they were getting attacked until it was too late. >She had never seen anything as bad as what was happening in the City, every building was seemingly covered head to toe in monstrous mutations, there were tentacles the size of skyscrapers dangling about. The worst of it was fast moving beings in the air which she couldn't get a good read on due to the sheer speed of them. She thought they may be some kind of mutated bird, but given the quick glints of electronic light and faint giggling she could hear she second guessed this assumption and decided to answer is one she wished she would never have to know. >Pauline curled up into a little ball in her seat mumbling to herself as her squadmates barked back what they were seeing to HQ, to distract herself she tried looking out the window at the other Helicopters that came with them for support. >Unlike the one she was in, these Helicopters were strapped to the teeth with armaments. At the time Pauline did not really know what could be out there to justify action this extreme, until she saw one of her escorts get batted out of the sky almost immediately by a tentacle. >She barely had a second to register what was going on until a loud clunk hit her eardrums, something had just landed on her helicopter, then several more clunks from all around her. If it wasn't the clunk that alerted her, it would be endless giggling as they tore into the outer shell of the copter. >The Squadmate next to her started to fire his rifle into the area around where the most damage and noise could be heard, and while it could not be said if he actually managed to do any damage, what could be said was he screamed the loudest when he was eventually grabbed and dragged out of the copter by an indescribable metal creature >The Pilot ordered Pauline to do anything but stare as systems loudly sounded their continued failure, and doing the only thing she could think of, she pulled out the small pistol she was given and began to fire blindly into basically any direction. >What she did not consider was that one of these bullets would ricochet off the body of the Disassembly Drone, attack her, and find its way into the shoulder of the Pilot leading to him losing complete control of the Helicopter. The crash was almost immediate.
>Pauline woke up feeling pain all over body. She could not tell how long she had been out for, all she knew was that she was alive but barely. She crawled her way out of the wreckage of the wrecked copter into the filthy streets of the mutated city >The first thing she noticed was a familiar stench of mutation, death, and decay in the air, but exasperated tenfold. This city was everything she was warned about and more, she could feel the danger she was in just standing here. The Second and more important thing she noticed was the body of the pilot laying on the ground nearby which Pauline quickly ran to in order to try and save him as much as she could. She got out her medical bag only to notice most of her supplies were already crushed, and a spongebob bandage probably would not be enough to save this man's life. >Pauline began to feverishly try and talk him back into waking up, and give CPR, this continued for a few minutes until she could completely declare him dead. She did not know this but he had actually died hours ago. >Feeling extremely guilty, along with the grief of what she had gotten into, she continued to give CPR despite all evidence. >”Hey, I'm not a Medic but I think that guy is dead”, said the calming voice. It was so out of nowhere it caused Pauline to jump a little until she saw before her were two more soldiers suddenly coming up on her. >Pauline turned to stare at the sudden appearance of the two new figures before her. One woman had short and messy brown hair along with a slouched posture, while the other was a slightly taller blonde woman who Pauline instantly thought looked trustworthy and kind. >”I.. I know I'm just” Pauline started until the Brown haired girl started “Is that a Medicare Armband?” she asked “y.. Yes” Pauline replied >”Well you're not very good at it” the Brown hair girl joked until the taller blonde girl swiftly punched her in the arm and whispered a quick “Quit it J”
>>213798 >The blonde woman stared at the brown haired woman a second or two while she rolled her eyes and slicked back a little, “I'm Bonnie, and this rascal is Jane, don’t worry she didn’t mean to be rude she is just terrible with people.” >”So, what are you doing out here, you don't seem to be from any of the local squads, or even from around here at all.” Bonnie said, staring at Paulines unique French EDF attire. >”We were here on basic recon” Pauline eventually muttered out, still staring at the corpse of her pilot and going silent, leading to an uncomfortable silence. >”I see, did you come in on that crashed helicopter?” Bonnie asked. “How on earth did you manage to survive that?” >”Yeah.” Jane eventually said coming back into the conversation. “How did you survive that?” her words were a lot more sharp then Bonnies, more cold. She did not seem to be asking, instead making a statement at Pauline which made Pauline sweat. >”Seriously, Knock it off J” Bonnie once again whispered to Jane. “Can’t you tell this poor woman is scared and alone?” Jane once again could do nothing but roll her eyes and give up to Bonnie despite obviously having more she wanted to say. >”Look I'm sorry B, hey why don’t I try and become more acquitted with her and you can search the crash looking for any details she may have missed? Would certainly help with my so-called lack of people skills” Jane retorted to Bonnie, which she thought about and nodded before walking up slowly to the still in shock Pauline. >”Hey look I know there is a lot going on right now, but we are here to help you alright? I am going to leave you in the caring hands of my partner here while I search your… while I search alright?” Bonnie had her hand on Paulines shoulder while she talked, and the way she did it made Pauline instantly trust her enough to give a small nod. Bonnie left to disappear into the smoke and dust left after the crash as Jane suddenly appeared before Pauline.
>She did not even see Jane move toward her, it was as if a spector had just materialized in front of her. Which to Pauline Jane might as well be, she always seemed to be covered in thick shadow which covered her face just enough to where only a gleaming eye and her lower face could be seen. Jane watched intently as Bonnie walked into the crashsite until she was completely out of view and then put her hand on Paulines arm. >”I'm going to check something, is that alright with you.” Jane said, once again not really as a question. She then forcibly pulled off Paulines medical glove and began to stare at her arm. Pauline knew she was looking for something, but didnt know what. >I-If youre looking for signs of infection I am clean” Pauline said. “I never came in contact with anything” >Jane paused and rolled Paulines sleeve back on for her, and quietly stared off into space for a second before finally saying “That you are, sorry about before, man you must really be lucky to have survived all that” >Pauline almost laughed at the indication she had anything close to luck as Jane began to back off from right in front of her to a more relaxed position across from her. They rested for a long time chatting, sharing stories, somehow despite being in this hellscape, and still next to the dead body of her pilot which Jane had so graciously covered with her own jacket, this was the most relaxed Pauline had felt in weeks.

>A feeling of unease eventually rolled over Pauline. “So, what now?” She eventually asked. >”What do you mean now?” Jane replied “I mean, what am I going to do now, what happens to me?” Pauline replied staring at the wrecked helicopter >”Oh that, well we can’t bring you back with us. We already have so many soldiers to feed and supply, and per EDF rules you do not count as a civilian rescue” Jane spat on the ground after mentioning EDF, clearly showing she did not care for the organization. Pauline could not say felt any different. >”B, I mean Bonnie may have still taken you with us, which is why I am here to talk to you instead. That and check you for any signs of infection” Jane suddenly leaned in closer. >”Look I don’t want the thoughts of you in these streets on my conscience but it’s what has to be done. It simply is best if you try and go out there and find remnants of your squad and hook back up with your people. There are certain rules and procedures that even I don’t want to piss on, and taking someone from another squad without permission, even for medical treatment, causes certain penalties we simply can not burden ourselves with right now.” >”I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but one way or another, you aren’t coming back with us, do you understand.” Jane leaned ever closer to where Pauline was sitting, and her previous relaxed tone vanished again to this cold void. She once again made it very clear she wasn't asking, and Pauline could do nothing but nod again and stand up to start walking. >”I’ll tell B you said goodbye” Jane said, not getting up at all. “I’m sure you will find your people out there, you've been out here for a while, and for the love of god do not go near any mutants!” >Pauline didn’t even bother looking back now, she just kept walking into the city streets, hoping that despite her luck she may just return from another mission.
>>213863 >After a week, Stone is fired due to him constantly beefing with Disassembly Drones. >Further investigation leads to staff discovering that he was intentionally souring DD food, resulting in many bad reviews. >Even further investigation from external sources show that he followed them home to inconveniently torment them there, as killing them was no longer an option.
>Daily Non-Canon Drone Fun Facts: Serial Designation V actually single-handedly prevented the collapse of earth for one month, even while under Solver Control. Simply by requesting the greatest ass that the Solver could craft her for her new body, the perfectionist entity spent that long researching and crafting her desire.
>>213872 >Pauline traveled the city streets alone looking for any sign of a support group or potentially another surviving squadmate, or really anyone. >She could not lie, she was incredibly annoyed with the Brown hair girl who told her to wander this disgusting filth city all by herself without even giving her supplies, to the point she began to even mock her voice a little. >”Oh, look at me, I am ze American Girl and I am too cold and heartless to let the French Girl have any of my American guns or supplies. Zhis is because I am so soulless and rude, and smelly.” This is exactly what Jane sounded like. >Pauline had this habit that when she was frustrated she would puff her cheeks up a little unintentionally, and had to remind herself to calm down a little when she felt herself going red. Its not often she got the chance to actually be annoyed though, so in a way this lonely walk was shockingly freeing for her. >The only thing keeping her going was this odd undeniable feeling her luck had turned for the better after all. The possibilities of her surviving that crash was nearly impossible. She had nearly killed herself multiple times by simply stumbling over and breaking plates at the Cafe she worked in back in France. She had wondered if maybe something was looking over her helping her along. >So she kept wandering, and kept wandering, occasionally hiding from the Patrolling Drones in the sky, until she eventually came across a park. >It was overgrown with flesh and decay, but luckily that just meant it would be harder to spot her. It seemed like a nice enough spot to relax for a second. She remembered spending a lot of time relaxing in parks back home, before being chased away by the animals for whatever lunch she was carrying. >It was surprisingly peaceful sitting on a nearby bench, until some slightly mutated frogs started to hop their way out of the blood red pond water and up to where she was sitting causing her to curl up and scream a little. >For about her whole life she had been revolted by the little revolting amphibians, ironic for a French woman she knew and her friends often mocked her for it, but she could never get past how slimy, green, and just gross they were. It did not help when they grew extra eyes and teeth. To try and get them to leave her alone she took out some of the rations she had been carrying and threw them in the opposite direction. She watched them hop unevenly and disgustingly over to her rations and begin to eat it in the most revolting way possible, she had to keep herself from vomiting in pure disgust. She did not even know how tongues that long and thick could fit back into their body like that. >However it became apparent the frogs were not the only attention Pauline had attracted to herself out here, as long agonizing moaning could be heard from nearby, as a distinct shape of a dying man wept on the ground. >Pauline took a moment to decide whether or not she should simply ignore this poor sap, she wasn't much help to anyone especially without her tools. But deep within her she knew the right thing to do would be to try and help, who knows, she might even get lucky again.
>>213863 >Jenna is only here because this was the only place that both had openings and was willing to hire a potentially hazardous mutant like her >has to wash her eldritch meat hand with soap >will quit the moment another place hires her
>>213890 >Pauline slowly but steadily approached the man lying on the ground as he continued to weep to himself. His body was bloody and bruised but from her quick scan and glances he did not appear mutated, but she could not get a good look at his entire body. >This went against every survival instinct she had in her body, it may have been the left over guilt over what happened to her pilot that led her to try and save at least this one poor life. >The man was wearing a thick brown coat covered in blood and tears, and from what little skin she could see his actual flesh wasn't doing much better than his coat. The only part of him that looked slightly okay was this odd dirty orange scarf that he was wearing, or it looked like he was wearing. It seemed to move almost independently from the man's shaking. >She paused before she finally spoke. “A.. A-Are you hurt?” she blurted out in the most Nursely tone she could muster. “I may not seem like it, but I am a Medic, I can help you if you want” >The man did not respond, still clinging to himself in a fetal position and weeping uncontrollably. Whatever he was dealing with clearly was not good. Paulines gun felt heavy on her belt for a moment, but she continued. >”I'm sure I could help you if you let me, Please?” she was right up to the man now who began convulsing wildly, and put a calm hand on his shoulder which for a moment seemed to work. >This was before she heard the giggling coming from the man, causing her to pull her hand back as the man rose and swung his neck back 180 degrees to stare at her. Its smile grew unnaturally as long metal claws bursted from what was the man's hand to wave slyly at her. >This was no man, but a skinsuit being worn by one of those Metal Devils she remembered seeing before, and she had just fallen for its trap. ”B-Boo” the Metal creature said before rising up and destroying its flesh suit with its sharp claws. as it quickly got into an attack position. >But this was not like the other metal devils she had encountered before, but something far more disgusting. In a way it still looks human, with human hands and human flesh on certain parts of its body. But everything about it was wrong, the arms bent and shifted in unnatural ways, and as far as Pauline knew hands don't grow out of your torso >Outside of what little human bits remained on this drone, it had distinct drone bits appearing from under the grotesque flesh, especially the Face which resembled the Dissembly Drones more outside of the disgusting red growth of eyes on the right side of the creature's face. >Worst of all was the Bow on top of the creature's face which from Pauline could tell is where the weeping was coming from as its many eyes shifted onto her, and the gaping mouth located on the bow kept moving up and down. There was also the Hair of the creature which seemed to be the ‘scarf’ the man was wearing, only now Pauline could see the distinct Eye poking out watching her. >The Unnatural Drone was completely soaked with blood and gore from the man suit it was wearing, the only noticeable details not completely covered in thick red was the grey lights of its glitching eye still gleaming from underneath and the many eyes popping out and staring at her, or moving around uncontrollably. Pauline was dumb founded and quickly stumbled backwards and tripped as the Drone simply laughed and mocked her. “Oh I so l-love it when meat fall for that, t-tell me was the crying convincing enough?” >As the creature was busy mocking her, satisfied with a trap well layed, Pauline quickly (and shakily) reached for her gun which to her knowledge still had a few bullets left in it. And tried pointing it at the creature >”G..GET BACK” She screamed shakily pointing her gun at the creature whose smile only grew >”Hhehehehe, y-you’re no–t much of a so-ldier are you?” The Creature asked as it moved towards her in a snake-like pattern. “Regardle-ss I can smell the s-stench of E-D-F on you M-meat.” >Pauline had enough of the creatures mocking and tried to aim, eventually pulling the trigger with some effort to hear the distinct sound of the bullet landing on something meaty. Bullseye she thought to herself.
>>213902 >She aimed with her eyes closed, and with some effort opened them back up to see what damage she had done. Given she was not already dead she figured she must have done something right. >She saw the creature before her bent backwards unnaturally convulsing and spasming. It looked as if the whole of that creature's body was having a stroke, multiple appendages and eyes were moving in all directions, but the torso itself remained motionless outside of quick jerks. Blood oozed out of where its head was and onto the ground, more then likely from the bullet wound. Pauline felt relieved a little bit and began to try and pick herself back up, looking away from the creature and at the ground as she laughed to herself in a way to try and calm herself. Sweat poured from her brow and into her eyes, she could no longer tell what was sweat and what was tears. >If she had decided to keep looking at the creature she may have seen it do one final jerk as it began to raise its upper body upwards in a swift motion as the wound began to heal itself. >Pauline only caught the tail end of the process as she witnessed the Drone regrow a portion of its skull and eyes rapidly back to their original state, its LED screen turning back on and its Drone eye looking square at Pauline, all the while its smile never faded from its face only growing wider and wider. The Drone finished its process by spitting the bloody bullet out of its mouth and into the pond with a loud splash. >”Y-Ou hav-e Go-od aim Me-at” it said before stabbing Pauline with the sharp tail it had been hiding from her until now in the arm which held the pistol, causing it so fall onto the grass. Pauline Yelped holding onto her now bleeding arm as she was dragged kicking closer to the creature. >She now had a slightly better look at it, and could see the glint of the many medals that adorned the bloody tatters of an old green officers uniform, all of which Pauline imagined the best had stolen from previous victims. >Pauline was scared, more scared then she had ever been in her whole life, mumbling to herself and in her mind to the creature to please just let her go. The creature did nothing but giggle while it let out its long slimy tongue and licked some of the blood oozing from Paulines arm. To get a taste of her upcoming meal. >Pauline did not know what to do now as she could feel her body inch closer and closer to the creatures gaping maw, drool began oozing onto her face. That is when, as she was closest to getting her neck torn into by the razor sharp fangs, she saw the Bow gazing at her. >In one last desperate motion she used her free arm to, in a swift motion, grab onto the Bow and hard. The creature began to scream and shake, before the creature growled and tossed Pauline into the nearby bloody pond. The beast leaned over, covering itself with its long hair as it tried to recover. The eye within the hair looked at Abby with something resembling empathy as its grip on her tightened, the Bow shaking rapidly and screaming, its eyes looking up and down and every which direction. >It shed the first real blood red tears of the whole encounter as it saw its dinner begin to drift into the bloody pond, no matter how hungry Abby was she was not going in there, and she began to slink back into the city looking for other prey. She knew her mission was complete regardless, and there would be one less EDF in the world, replaced by something worse then the death she offered.
>>213908 >update >Drowning, Pauline was drowning. She knew very well how to swim, but whatever this pond was it made her incapable of getting out. She tried and tried but could feel herself sink into the red murky depths of the pond. >First, she felt the iron rich blood and long unmaintained pond water enter her mouth. Not even noticing the pond water entering every new wound on her body. Then, and in her opinion worst of all, the nipping and biting of the little gross frogs she had previously tried to stay as far away from as possible. They would swim by, take a quick bite at her, then quickly swim away. >This was by far the worst experience she has ever had, her whole life of misfortune was simply leading to this. Drowning in the pond, in a place she knew she wasnt even supposed to be in. >The light of the blocked out sun was closing as she sunk into the darkest depths of this impossibly large pond, and she finally closed her eyes, just wishing for her misfortune to end.
>It took a long time for Pauline to wake back up, but to her it felt as quick as a blink. She was suddenly at the very bottom of the pond, face to face with some kind of horrible fleshy growth which had too many eyes to count. > Everything past that was a blur. It happened so quickly, she didn't even have time to question how she managed to breathe under the water. It was like brief flashes as she swam back to the top of the pond water, with newfound expert swimming, and wandered the streets until finding a crumbled building she could finally take a rest in. >Despite being out of the ponds water for quite some time now, her skin felt like it had a thick layer of something wet on it. The worst of it was the fact her eye was incredibly sore, and did not seem to blink right, that and the strange numb feeling inside her mouth. >She finally became lucid enough to gain some kind of semblance of understanding of her surroundings, she looked outside to see she did not wander that far from the park she was just at. Which might explain why despite being so far away she could still hear that annoying ribbiting and croaking from the frogs. In fact just as she noticed she could still hear those mutated frogs, she looked down at the floor to see one was patiently staring at her, just sitting as if it was expecting something from her. It licked its own eye and made a strange rhythmic ribbiting sound. >Pauline had enough of nuisances during this strange day and began to speak to try and scare off the frog. “Gphet out of HeR-ibbit! I hphave hphad enou-” Pauline quickly put a hand on her throat. Was that from her? >Only now did she feel the wet plap of her hand coming in contact with her skin, and as she removed it she noticed the thick slime trail her hand had. Not only that but her hand was all, wrong, it was noticeably bigger and looked almost… frog like. >She barely had time to register what was wrong with her hand before her tongue, without her control, reached up to lick her overgrown eyeball. Which to her dismay actually felt quite good. >It was only now she noticed her tongue had grown considerably to the point it would not retract back into her mouth. >Something was very wrong with her body, and began to frantically look all over the building with uneasy, almost hopping movement for a mirror of some kind. She eventually did and got a hard look at herself. >She had mutated from the exposure to the pond, that was for sure. She looked at all her new parts, the Frog eye, the Frog tongue, the Frog hands, even now realizing she had frog legs and even a tadpole tail. She had mutated into a slimy, disgusting frog freak and had no idea on what to do. As she continued to stare she let out a small croak, again out of her control, and noticed her throat expand like a balloon slightly, causing her to drop the mirror she was using and scream a very frog like scream. She almost vomited, until she remembered the frogs she so hated could not vomit, instead she just gagged. >She did not know what she could do now. She could not return to the EDF searching for her, if they were searching for her, she would be put with the rest of the mutants. >But… but there was that American Girl, the one she spoke to. She knew about mutants, possibly more then she did. And there was that kind Blonde with her. They could help, Pauline was sure of it. >So, after some time coming to something close to terms with her new body, she got back up and searched the streets hoping to find the American about.
>>213928 no? that’s just murder, we’re talking about real evil, like taking candy from a baby, which is bad for them, babies can’t eat that stuff, it kills them
>>213936 >Remember that defective oogi? >The one that wiggled its ass at you? >Now its doing this weird dance. >You look at it in pity before your squad of live-in joblins descend on the creature with letter openers.
>>213919 >Pauline searched and searched, every so often during her cries for help she would let out a ribbit or croak, or slip on the slime her body produced all over her skin. Almost thankfully her body seemed to be a bit more soft due to her mutations, so she did not feel as much pain when she slipped on the ground and begun to pick herself back up. Her new legs however took much more time to get used to, and she found her mind wandering to if she would be more comfortable squatting down and hopping instead of walking, which she quickly dug deep down in her as she licked her own eye again. >She needed to find help, and the last thing she needed was to act like a.. >... >There was an overgrown mutated fly buzzing around a semi broken street lamp near her, which she stared at for some time, licking her eye again fixated. The fly buzzed and buzzed until it buzzed no more, Paulines tongue whipped through the air in sudden movement until it slapped against the fly and lamp, and quickly brought the fly back into her mouth (and broke the streetlamp) which she bit into with a loud crunch and gulp before letting out another croak. >Paulines mind was completely blank, it took her a moment to even realize what she had done, and when she did she quickly went to work scrubbing her tongue with her hand and trying to puke the fly back up. >She went on her path to find the American after this incident, trying to bury it deep inside her as well, trying to think about eating normal human food. Like Grilled Flies, Bug Burgers, and Fresh Human Guts from a live victim. Incredibly tasty things like that. >It was not much longer she noticed the American Girl out in the streets again, seemingly wandering by herself.
>Jane had felt some guilt letting that poor woman go out all by herself to search for her own EDF squad. And that was not just because Bonnie screamed her ear off with “I cant believe yous” and “J, come ons!” until Jane agreed to go looking for her, alone of course. She did not want Bonnie endangering herself more than she usually does. >Jane could handle herself out here, and was more than capable of finding this lost girl, she just hoped she could find her before something else did. >And to Jane's bitter realization, something else did. As she did find the lost girl, but as a crazed mutie freak mumbling to herself and seemingly… eating flies? This city did a number on her. That's for sure, damn shame too, she seemed nice.
>Pauline noticed the American Girl was staring at her and wasnt too far either, and began to feel something like hope again, before licking her own eye again and letting out another croak. God, whenever the American treats her she would not miss doing that against her will. >Pauline tried to say something before Jane took the smoke out of her mouth, and stomped it out. “Please dont come any closer.” Jane said. >Pauline was shocked, but followed the orders, waiting for the American to say or do something, it was a long awkward silence as if both were waiting for the other. >”I.. I Neeph Helph” Pauline finally said, “I ran intph somtphing at tph Phark and it..” Pauline went quiet letting out a small ribbit, “I’ve mutatph, please thake me witph you” Pauline said. >After another long quiet and Jane sighing she eventually responded with “I am going to give you all the help you need okay” before walking towards with her hand behind her back. >Pauline could feel something was wrong immediately, and when Jane pulled out her pistol as she noticed Pauline was about to act, Pauline whipped it out of her hand with her tongue without even thinking to Jane's bewilderment. >Jane could barely let out a loud “SHIT” before she was grappled onto the ground as Pauline hopped ontop of her body, right as Jane was about to pull out her combat knife. >Pauline was on top of Jane now holding Janes hands down with all her might, and her thick and meaty frog legs seemed to be enough to keep her from moving. Her tongue did the job of wrapping itself around Janes neck to keep her head from moving, forcing Jane to look at Pauline. >Jane tried to struggle but it was no use as Paulines mind went into complete shock and panic, this woman was about to kill her. Just like when she sent her out to die before. >”Yoph… You werph going to” Pauline started to mutter getting some slime on Janes face. >There was no help, there never was help coming and she was stuck like THIS forever. This encounter was just more shitty luck being placed upon her being. >But now, she felt things she never felt in her life before. She felt control, she felt power, she felt animalistic hunger like she never had before. She had this American mongrel right here, ready for her, and a small voice in her head was telling her go for it. >without even fully realizing it Pauline began to inch her mouth closer to Janes neck, slobbering all over it waiting to take the first bite into real human meat. >Pauline was almost about to as well, before looking at the Americans face, for the first time not completely in the cover of shadows. Able to see her face and both of her eyes. >She saw Hatred, but she also saw fear, fear of her, fear of what Pauline might do to her. Maybe even what Pauline would do to her friend. And, perhaps this is the same fear Pauline showed to the creature that was at the park. >Pauline backed her selfup from Janes face realizing what she was doing before she quickly got off of her. Jane didnt even take a second before grabbing her knife and getting on her feet into a ready positions for Paulines next attack. But Pauline didnt make another attack, she just stared at Jane and then looked at her mutated froggy hands before tears welled up in her eyes. >”Im Sworry” Pauline repeated as she just ran into the streets again away from Jane.

Unless you're a coward who doesn't imagine these things with on-model drones.
>>213949 For starters, by not giving them a dog motif. Or at least, not dogs like golden retrievers. Imagine if N was a basset hound or a husky or a borzoi or literally any type of molosser.
>>213945 [end] >Jane was utterly confused as to why the Mutie didnt just kill her then and now, she was in no position to fight, and its not like she didnt give Pauline numerous reasons to end her. Maybe it was just luck. >Jane had considered reaching for her rifle, or some other side piece, and maybe killing Pauline as she got away, but decided against it. She wasn’t a threat right now, maybe would never be. She let Jane go, so maybe just this once Jane would let the mutant go as well. Not that Jane saw much point in continuing, not only was there still the war in this hell ridden city, but as a mutant. None of them would be alive much longer, but Jane figured that if Pauline wished to live like that in her final days who was she to try and piss on that parade, and made her way back to Bonnie. >Maybe Pauline really was just that lucky.
>Abby was inside one of the many hives she had created inside of buildings all over the city, eating fresh meat from another prey she had gotten that day. Still sore from the attack, the meat had been given to poor Meeny, who was still sore and sobbing. Abby ripped a piece of the prey and fed it to the mouth of her bow, which screamed and chewed, but seemed to enjoy it. Her hair wrapped around her again in what seemed like a hug. >While she was bored and eating she noticed a mutant sobbing and running in the street, after a moment she laughed as her many eyes got a good look at it. It was Meat again! And look at her now, another bloody mutant freak just like her. She considered going after her, killing her for the pain she caused her, but she never cared for the taste of mutant or Frog, and her indicators showed she was no longer considered EDF. >And who knows, maybe this mutant would draw out Abbys biggest hunt against the Rat, Rat oh so loved to kill mutants like them. >Abby figured, that to be of such great use to her, maybe this Meat was just lucky to not have been eaten after all.
>Pauline seemed to run for what felt like forever until her body tripped once again on the slime and sweat her body created, hitting the ground with a loud thick plap and ribbit. >Her stomach growled loudly, she was still starving from the encounter with Jane earlier, and she had not eaten in awhile. >As she was panting on the street she looked over and saw a dying man, fresh wound in his gut leaving his entrails exposed, and was being swarmed with Overgrown flies. >Pauline stared long and hard at the already dying man, and the flies, and the guts, before licking her eye again and feeling her stomach rumble. >She couldnt, She wouldnt, She… >She didnt even notice as her tongue had already zipped in the air along with the hop of her body to the man, squatting down in a very frog like fashion >Perhaps, Perhaps she was just lucky to find a meal this succulent out here without any effort, who was she to pass it up after her hardships?

>>213967 >>213968 To be fair, she probably woke up some time after having her head caved in and realized she was still alive as her core before slithering out of her own chest cavity, with all her memories flooding back. So she went straight to the cabin fever labs and used her small size to slink through the gaps.
>>213990 >Jane's last name is "The Human" so is john’s last name, guess the soulless copy won this time, because jane is literally john if female, at least john still does that “pretending to be a robot” gig up
>>213986 >used her small size to slink through the gaps no, I call cap on that, there’s a giant hole leading in and out of cabin fever labs, saw in episode 7, all you need is one giant ladder to reliably get in and out of the place
>>213995 the reason john does that so the worker drones don’t kill him, they don’t want to kill, it’s just paranoia, jane is doing the same as well, though is seems with time, everyone has forgotten that
