For these tourneys to get something like a big video essay I think it needs to have actual outside influence. Right now it's still just a niche 4chan thing. Mr. /co/ had some autistic wedding art work that got like 50,000 reddit views. Something like that but bigger or several times would probably get it on the wider internet radar. Not that it should happen.

It’s really really weird to me how NSA seemingly made that one post that said something along the lines of "I’m moving onto Midna, she's my only hope left", yet it’s of clear she hasn’t actually played TP.
What, was she so angry at the idea a stick bug could win the tournament before a more outwardly sexual girl could? Was it just spite? That’s autistic as fuck.
But I really hope Midna is completely legitimate after this is over just like you.

Apparently she claimed voting for Midna and drawing the E8 image in her honor because she "liked her drawfag" aka Warianon. It’s probably a combination of spiting Hornet + preferring Midna's campaign on a surface level.

I didn't draw too much in Queen 2022 though cause I wasn't confident in my skill. Whatever I had at the time was used for Cirno. I do wish that Midna round wasn't so tumultuous though.

What the hell set NSA THAT badly against Amaterasu anyway? Like, losing isn't the greatest but there's 127 losers and one winner. Generally speaking, if my main DOES lose to someone, it's preferable that they either end up becoming a finalist so my character's track record is better, or were total bros during the deciding match so there's good sport involved. Ammy was definitely both for Bayonetta. Was her ego just THAT fragile the blowout amount (60-40) and a couple of Ammychads pointing out the stupidity of the cope bracket was enough to make her have a melty against a character she previously liked?

Kindof stupid considering I KNOW Amaterasu posters weren't the only ones picking at it, I know right off of memory Muffetchads also voiced against it, I'm sure there's more. Amaterasu just seemed to attract the more vocal critics, probably because Ammy had the most to lose getting demoted from 2nd to 3rd place. But she did seem to be pretty adamant about it all being one guy And she isn't too terribly far off, I wasn't the only one but I did give the loser's bracket a LOT of flack both posting with and without Ammy images

If there's something CurlyCHADS and AmmyGODS will always have in common it is making NiggerShift seethe

What I still don't really get is why was NSA so affected by AM beating one of her mains. A lot of us in the AMfag camp have been pretty critical of NSA's rulefagging (I know I at least was a vocal detractor of double elimination waaay before it was put in practice last year, although I avoided avatarfagging or anything of the short), but I remember there being a lot of cordiality between her and us as campaigners during the actual match. Does it really just boil down to the fact it happened in the Elite Eight? If that's the case then, it was pure lack of foresight from her part not to expect an outcome in which Wesker lost eventually. Most anons paying attention to the campaign weren't really voting for him, anyway. Drawing porn and pin-ups of your opponents and making that your entire campaign is anything but honest.

I think Elite Eight rule is fine, but this post did make me realize something funny. It just hit me that the Elite Eight-related series restrictions have thus far only been implemented on /v/ while /co/, NSA’s home turf, always allows three per series even with the prior year’s results. Wouldn’t be that surprised if the significance of characters like Raiden or Koishi missing out was just lost on them.
No.92645

>>92644
I myself have mixed thoughts on the main Elite Eight rule. My confusion comes from how there was a lot of clamoring over putting the E8 rule up to vote during Ms. and Mr. /co/ this year, requests which NSA COMPLETELY ignored. Which is, if anything, contradictory when you realize how every. single. time. she has given shit to a character it was because they defeated one of her pick in the E8 stages (>>92431 >>92434)

One hypothesis I have as to why she keeps pushing stuff like franchise limit and other Elite-Eight related restrictions on /v/ but not /co/ is in order to have weaker competition for her characters.

Randomized brackets going back to real seeding is another one people want but they ignore when voting, but /tnt/ won’t bring it up because it helps their roleplay characters like NSA’s Livesey get cheap early wins against 100 seeds to “build campaign momentum”

It isn’t, on /co/ awhile back hosts were pressed about this and one of them admitted that there was “some adjustment” to the randomization to, in their words, make it more fair and balanced.
Which of course is propaganda for the change because the reality is they can give characters they like very easy couple of rounds to make a supposed underdog campaign run while punishing characters they don’t like or see as a threat to their picks with very hard matchups the first or second round. And of course shitty theme meme matchups

I was voting for him because I do genuinely like him and also I RP'd as him whenever Chris was around, but yeah, I don't think anyone would deny he made it that far if it weren't for the Rule 63 pin-ups. Do people just not remember how things were back in the day? It was genuinely pointless to support your character if they weren't a top ~20 seed. The first three rounds were always a complete snorefest because you could always tell who was gonna win purely by who had the bigger dick. It's genuinely purplexing how quick some people are able to switch their opinion on something at the drop of a hat. Get rid of the Elite 8 one-year ban, it's incredibly arbitrary and stupid, it only punishes characters for doing really well but not outright winning. First tournaments didn't have it, can your character really be called a "winner" if they needed the handicap of excluding well performing characters to win?

Final Fantasy doesn't even get 3 characters to score enough to qualify, last year's Queen only had Tifa and King was just Sephiroth and Kefka. Megaman's in a pretty similar position too.
TF2 on the other hand would absolutely have all 9 mercs plus Saxton Hale which would be just a little excessive.
