Feel free to use this post as an OC anchor in case you're still working on something.

As you can see by the OP, I've made a separate archive for the audio OC. In the following days, I plan to fill it with the stuff from the tournament, as well as create a MEGA back-up just in case.

Heroes of /co/ should start on the 28th, but probably 2-3 hours earlier than usual to account for any potential delays.

I think if a character qualified here, they shouldn't be allowed in the /co/ tourneys.

I'm curious. What were your expectations? Roleplaying is such a crucial part of these tournaments it almost seems weird someone wouldn't even suspect it'd be a thing.

Though I will say that Scout did get shat on unfairly during Heroes. I kind of enjoyed it at first because of TF2 being such a /v/ darling and being able to go far even without much campaigning, but Scout didn't deserve to get memed so hard. If that's any consolation, I don't think it will affect his chances in the main tournaments.

RP isn't for everyone, but I think the side tourneys overall benefit from it. It's not like /v/ where there's constantly 40 people in the thread, so the draw has to be a little different. It's a fine opinion though.

If there's one thing wrong with these tournaments, is how certain things latch on characters and just ruin them forever. Like Jon Arbuckle, for example. I like the character a lot, but apparently /co/ decided to make him a scat-fetish character or something, so I can never do anything with him because people will just keep on coming back to it. Or, in the case of this tourney, how Eggman is now just obsessed with traps.

You must keep in mind that a lot of the characters getting campaigned are done by people who campaign for multiple characters. Considering the low amount of people here, I think the amount of OC made is actually quite respectable.

While Eggman could have done more, the whole trap thing was handled well and pretty varied. We had stuff like the falseflag-o-matic, the rants, him trying to get all the young male contestants, and his stupid matchup with Erika where he kept threatening to turn her into a boy. Considering how Wily was the more vocal one in the Co-op team, I feel like had the one Eggman poster not made that rant leading to this, Eggman would have just been quiet and jobbed early like Wario.

It'd make for a great Halloween game since Chapter 3 takes place right before Halloween, and it's not a long game. I love it (I even did the Good Christian Boy challenge) but it's definitely not for everyone. Still, I hope you like it.

Sadly, that's sort of the downside of /tnt/ tournies. Normal ones usually have 10 threads with 600+ posts per round. These usually only reach 500~ per thread.
That's like 90% of activity gone. Which is good since it allows for more out-there picks with support to make a good impression instead of the usual "TF2 Metal Gear Touhou" theater but also leaves several problems. Namely if your character doesn't have a dedicated autist

There were more highs and lows here compared to heroes. Many good candidates lost whereas heroes had alot more silent picks which people were relieved when they were gone.

Thoughts on the tourneys:

I'm sure Fang is a fine character, but I honestly think it was just that S2 of Primal got everyone hyped. Shirley fans were really nice, and the tourney got me to watch Courage, and holy kino that was a great show. Zorak was easily the best winner, and I've no problems. Just goes to show what good campaigning can do.

Gotta be honest, not a big fan. Nothing against Midna or Jack, but they never really screamed "vidya royalty" to me.

HATED the Co-Op ending, cause the declining input was sad and every team I had rooted for had lost. Barely checked out Heroes cause work got in the way, but I liked what I saw. Villains was kino, second only by Mr. /co/. I had a lot of fun campaiging and seeing other campaigns.

Rping and writefagging is not my style since I draw more but I wish people used a combination of those in future campaigns or tournaments. I want to pick up eleven labs to try stuff out after this tournament and probably will get into animation (sfm or traditional) in the future.

I like Fang and voted for her in part because her OC is legendary, but the on-going drama and NSA's incompetence kinda ruined it for me. Zorak is frankly a great winner but almost anyone from that top 8 would have been just as good. Definitely the best 2022 tournament.

I REALLY like Midna, but I understand where you are coming from with her victory maybe feeling a little anticlimactic in a way. As a campaigner you could tell the threads wanted Hornet or Alice to win, not her. As for king, Jack didn’t deserve the victory at all in my opinion. I have a lot of doubts of how much staying power he will have on the board, because he feels like a character who would have been early round fodder in any other year.

Didn’t like co-op for the simple reason that it felt like everyone was still sore after king, and the top 8 was just okay. Heroes and Villains have both been fucking great.

I plan on practicing my drawing skills in the coming months so I can drawfag for Project Moon characters in Queen and King, specifically Ayin and Binah. I think for Binah, I'll exclusively draw for her since I found it harder to do RP for her compared to my other mains. Ayin was still gonna incorporate LobCorp gameplay into his campaign, just with mods to make the nuggets look more accurate to the contestants.

I considered doing that with Louie by having Olimar coming here at the end of each thread to the witness the aftermath of each of Louie's matches on a quest to bring Louie home but it would have been too much with all the OC I was already making and I wanted Louie to stand more on his own. The video I made about Olimar leaving Louie behind during UNO and the writefagging I did of The President telling Olimar that Louie became the Endless Sorcerer and they needed to get him back to get the gold with the faux painting OC were remnants of that idea I thought were fun enough to do on their own.

All have been fun to campaign for. Co-op was fun as a new thing and I think the next time will be even better. Heroes and Villains were fun, though there was a few hiccups here and there. Hopefully, the Heroes and Villains of /co/ won't be absolutely terrible.
