Hello my good Friends! I think we should keep talking about the Drones. Let's talk about the Drones and the Threads my Friends. This is going to be fun, as always. The Drone-full Booru: https://dronebooru.co Last Thread: >>88011 The Wheel of impressive OCs: https://wheelofnames.com/8hc-stc
>>88972 Yes, of course! Just University stuff, that it can go bad, but even if it goes bad, it will not let it affect me. >>88974 Good to know you are doing good, Friend! I hope you feel better soon.
>>88979 How much do the Desasembly and Sentinel drones weigh? Considering the pilot episode where N could hold and even slide a damn big door with a damn strong closing mechanism, a couple of dozen tonnes at least.
>>88985 But I mean, he did not need to use his weight at all, the closing mechanism presses the upper cover down and lifted the lower one up, he only had to have the strength to keep them from moving further with his arms. All that counted was wether he is strong enough to keep his shape against sucha resistance, he didn't need to use his own weight
>>88982 >Harper’s daughter is lonely at times and wants friends who are like her >You, a Worker on the Sentinel base, have been given the suggestion to befriend her What do?
>>88995 Invite her for Netflix and Chill. This is how humans make friends from what the drones have heard. You invite a woman for Netflix and Chill, you make "a move", and she says she wants you to be friends.
>One day, after dinner, while Jane and I were lounging about in Beretta's closet, we spotted a fledgling loaf all on its own >That baby loaf was tiny, it didn’t even have all of its bones, and it couldn’t pop >When we found it, it was already on its last breath, having fallen into a closet - probably abandoned by it's parents >We decided to build a nest for it right there and then >However, thinking back, that winter was unusually cold, with fierce winds at night in the closet, not to mention the many Oogis and Vees in the vicinity... >it was clear that if we left the fledgling in the yard, it stood no chance of surviving until the next day >So, I suggested we take it inside, place it on the shelf by the window, and asked V to fashion a cage for it >We decided that when it regained its strength enough to spread its arms, we would release it back into the wild >The tragic part - something that we’d never considered - was that this Loaf's fate had already been determined long before this moment…
>>88995 Honestly, I don't know, I don't know how to be friends with children, I don't like children's things, and since according to the Supreme Command's decree, sentinel drones can only watch harmless children's cartoons and read harmless children's books, I don't know what to do together.
Though, I'd watch Thomas the Steam Train with her, I haven't watched it in a hundred years.
>>89003 They sure think it's dumb. They can communicate in it, but it would look like some dude at a party trying to speak old English to show his purebred English ancestry.
>Pavo gets a raging murderboner during a particularly violent battle >this isn't unusual for him, it's just an involuntary physiological response to the excitement of combat >he's not *that* much of a sadist >but even as he's heading back to base >even after he's cleared his head and calmed down >he's still ROCK hard >it's been over an hour since he got back to home base and it *still* won't go down >trying the usual methods in his private quarters offer him no relief >his teammates don't question his behavior during battle anymore, but the rank-and-file human soldiers? the noncombatant staff? >they already give him funny looks, he can't let them see him like this >especially not his beloved anon >a prominent bulge in Pavo's pants would make even his most debonair seductions come across as lecherous and crude >he had to do something about it, but was there even a protocol for this sort of thing? >he consulted with his digital handbook, eventually finding his answer: >"any unusual physiological phenomenon, especially those which persist for an extended duration, should be reported to and discussed with your assigned technician ASAP." >Pavo hit his head against the wall, burying his blushing face in his hands >he wanted to die.
>>89007 What's the point for them? They're thinking at the speed of a normal human, and using a language that's just a little faster isn't going to improve their cognitive abilities. Even more, since they have completely adopted human culture, they are literally required to speak human language, because language is a major part of any culture.
>>89002 Kids desire recognition from adults. It is almost exciting to them when they find an adult who speaks their language. Most adults are bored, dismissive or angry when a child speaks to them. But if you are too much of a child then they will come to socially regard you as a child. They will try to draw your attention like a child or dismiss you like a child. They will become pestering or disobedient. So you have to remind them frequently that they are beneath you. Not by putting them down but by one-uping them. By owning cooler stuff, by knowing raunchier jokes, by going where they can't, by knowing tricks they don't. Like a sort big brother but not antagonistic and a party clown but not undignified.
>>88829 >>88830 fucking KINO. as much as I love Lucy I didn't think it was possible to make her a compelling character without an overhaul, but you've proved me wrong
So, what do you think of Alice and Beau's relation? Was Beau some random pillbaby she happened to find after the collapse or is she actually his mother? Or do you instead see them as 'siblings', it's technically possible after all. Would Beau's suboptimal form keep him from aging normally, do you believe he is actually just as old as Uzi and Doll, or is he more childish? Furthermore, do you think Alice kept him around to serve only, as a tool? Or do you think he was indeed valuable to her, emotionally? Also how/what are you doing?
>Last human on Copper 9 >No food left >You have to breed and slaughter loaves to survive >You have an entire barn full of the things >It is a hell of popping, like a stadium full of people constantly opening Pringles cans >Somehow a couple gave birth to a runt >It is black and silly >You decide to keep it as a pet because of how small and cute it is >The others would consume it or fuck it dead if you left it among them >Your pet loaf mlems your face every morning to wake you up
>>89024 Unironically fluffies I’m somewhat ok with. Probably because i’ve been conditioned to see them a good… 7-8 years ago? But the thing about Fluffies that i can tell which animal they’re supposed to be. Loafs? They’re so deformed i can’t even tell what animal they’re supposed to be. And quite honestly i would rather deal with baby talk instead of literal mouth popping noises.
>>89027 Created characters with incredible charisma and possibly the coolest storyline, and drain them in TWENTY BLOODY MINUTES! I can't understand it, no matter how many times I try, I can't understand it.
I gotta say, the whole "your wife dies, you have to raise your daughter alone for somethingteen years, then your wife shows up alive but she's a headcrab made from her disembodied heart now" feels like something Zach would spring on Tomar. >"What would you do, Tomar?" >"Can Jaxxy still talk...?" >"Yeah, she talks just like did before. But what would you do?"
>>89040 Okay in a nutshell. Fluffies are basically bio-toys made by hasbro based on the my little pony ponies. The thing about them is that they are straight up incomplete, mostly because PETA was going full retard and released these things in the wild.
Because they weren’t complete. Fluffies would have runny shit, breed like fucking rabbits, constant baby talk and if they scared from even one little thing. They shit everywhere. They so problematic and practically invasive to the world altogether. They were labeled akin to like pests and soon people killed these things with sadistic glee.
>>89048 Oogis are a degree of intelligence that makes feel more tolerable. I mean i do like the occasional Oogi abuse and love it when these things get put in their place. But they are still better than loafs and fluffies.
>>89049 If think about it, Lucy's notoriety as the one that can scare anyone already makes her scary, which will cause everyone aware of her to be at 0 level forever, because they're already afraid of her.
>>89057 Bah, Steven Universe has made you all poofters with weak stomachs. Back when I was little we used to watch environmental refugees getting impaled, strangled by traps, flattened by lorries, you name it, to make their way to safety. And the show fleshed them out first, to make sure their deaths hit you like a brick. Watch Animals of Farthing Wood. It's all on youtube.
>>89028 I agree, tho I wonder wether he was already 'alive' when she found him or wether she was able to activate an 'empty' pillbaby. I believe in it being the former, however it's not impossible she did it herself either, even if it MUST have codes from 2 drones (which I am not sure about) there are enough bodies around and since apparently every CFL drone was a zombiedrone she could still get code from them. >>89033 I feel exactly that way, shit is too dumb. You can do so so much with them, like you said they have amazing backstory, they actually do a ton of relevant stuff offscreen (without them Copper-9 would have been a Solverpede hellscape, if not outright consumed already.). But not just their past, which is excusable not to show directly since we still get enough info through show don't tell (something 7-8 lacked very much sadly, they added background lorewise almost nothing relevant to the MD world with notable exception of the Solver war), Alice has so much potential to meet with Nori again which apparently was alive all zhe time. I believe Alice and Beau were victims of the eight episode limit and the extreme compression, being employed as antagonists and used to dump lore, the further potential for interactions was totaly wasted inspite of obviously being a great opportunity for a future in which Uzi and Nori would initially have more trouble (similiar to the unused Uzi-reacting-to-N-having-killed-her-mom, which is another great opportunity unused). What annoys me most is how they are 'killed off' gory onscreen, the only ones meant to be dead in the entire second half of the season, for the sole purpose of 'upping stakes', which V did for the audience anyways, the underageds mostly dislike Alice /say she's scary, removing her fid nothing for them anyways. V's 'death' made it redundant and all the high stakes BS was deflated without making any use of its potential by V soloing the Sentinels offscreen (which in a way means what Alice did to take DDs out was even more than just enjoying herself while herding Sentinels to DDs and picking up the remains). Totally wasted potential and even worse, 'killed off' without any need or purpose. If you take it very literal, episodes 5,6,7,8 had a bodycount of 1 single drone, which was Beau. Utterly pointless, having Lizzy be a Sentinels chewtoy in 8 without a scratch was such a tonally retarded choice that it xestroyed any stakes or immersion in 8 for me personally, along with V going 'nah I'd win'.
>version of Akita and Colt's timeline where Uzi vored the Solver and became the Solverpede like in the main timeline >Uzi was terrified something horribly wrong would happen with Colt when he was born and something like her having a child became a reality she was holding in her original body's arms >to her immense relief, Colt turns out to be normal >Colt grows up weirded out by his mom exclusively using her three (3) back tentacles to hold him (since unbeknownst to him only the parts of her Solverpede body have a sense of touch now) and always crying when she does >Uzi is even more traumatized by Akita's birth here because it's another reminder of what she sacrificed as a teenager and how much of an abomination she is now >Akita grows up weirded out by her mom's consistent reluctance to even look at her and always looking like she's in pain when she does >all the apologizing Uzi does doesn't make things much better >the Doorman kids grow up knowing in their guts that something is really hurting their mom that she's refusing to tell them about no matter how unconvincing her claims that she's fine are >Dad and Grandma and Grandpa seem to have an idea, but they only talk about what's troubling Mom in the broadest language possible
So regarding something Alice, which of these you think would look best/fit her most? Off model somewhat >Very tight short shorts >Upskirt (panties/none?)(dress/gown?) >Nothing covering at all brainrot is too much I need to draw it to get it out of my head 24/7
>>89068 The boy grows up with the genocide machine that is his father, the good god of absolute end that is his mother, and the supernatural flesh abomination that is his sister, and he himself is perfectly normal, without supernatural or weird shit.
>>89072 >dad has the deaths of millions on his conscience >mom is a living nightmare who wishes she was still normal-ish like she has to pretend she is and has the Devil in her head, always waiting for opportunities to torment her >sister is an ontological outsider I think Colt lucked out.
>>89082 I'll do multiple anyways, we'll see wether anything of it gets done kek. Something racing themed has long been on the nonexistent list, nothing too outright slutty tho. (At least in public idk)
>>89092 I can't speak for others, but the only artclass I ever had was having to draw in school, always had A for every single drawing (except when I had the socialist old witch as a techer) other than human-animal-mixface. Was never fun tho since you had to draw what some retarded 50 something artfanhag thought was good. Still ended up with straight Cs since I always had E for theoretical part and I refused to speak. Other than that it was just a ton of practice since age 3 or 4 due to having grown up with Il2 1946 (ww2 plane game), always drew planes exclusively and didn't do shape or perspective practice, which ended up making me unable to do humans properly, Drones are a different thing entirely tho.
>>89092 I have a formal degree in visual arts, but honestly, I learned more outside of college, took courses, looked up what specific areas I wanted to focus on more, and went with it. It's better to specialize in one specific area than go all jack of all trades.
Don't go to art school if you expect to get better at drawing. it will break you, and if you already dislike art, you will hate it more.
>>89020 >Halloween is a very special day for people all over the galaxy >but almost no one can boast an enthusiasm for the season like Lucy’s >almost >there exists a drone, that might be seen from the edges of one’s vision, slipping away before they can be focused on >a drone that sits in the haze of incense at the back of shops that sell crystals and dream catchers >a drone that possesses the touch of the unseen realm, the gift of true psionic power >a drone to whom Halloween is not just Halloween, but also the day of their birth >a drone who is utterly incapable of fear
>>89112 🗿🍷yessir I wanna grab it, it would be warm and round, slightest vibration and hum from her core inside, feeling the tiniest hint of softness, like on toolgrips with rubbercoating, feeling all her slightest movements on the rigid chest, her smooth and softer rubbery black midriff just below the curves, nice
>>89154 Drones yowling in despair as they are pulled on chains into grueling packed heated sweaty assembly lines where they are barked at and beaten with whips as mocking laughter rings in their ears...
>>89166 https://www.ebay.com/itm/335619732750? https://www.ebay.com/itm/167048563194? These are the ones I was able to find. The tessa one though only links back to a reddit page
>>89174 >Negev's cell is lined with pictures of almost photo-realistic drawings of bizarre creatures and people that no one has ever seen before >Despite this, Negev claims that they're all around us, poisoning our minds, attempting to suck out our souls >The Administrator has recommended the burning of every picture, except for the small few landscape ones, she can keep those
>>89137 >V He'll be scared, but generally okay, since V threatened him that if he hurt himself in any way, she'd make it ten times worse.
>J He'll be totally fine and learning tax fraud, probably will also get a fetish for dominant women of age.
>N Anything. Even though N is literally a golden retriever puppy in the body of a genocidal machine, his childlike nature could lead him and my son on all sorts of adventures.
>Uzi I will not let that bitch come to my son on shooting distance of my AK, let she fucking try.
>Lizzy Likewise, let she fucking try to come near my son.
>Doll He'll be completely fine and fed and have some candy in pockets.
>Alice He'll have a great time gutting drone corpses and studying their anatomy and learning a few redneck words.
>Cyn 50%: He will have a good time watching cartoons and playing with toys. 50%: it will be anything but not my son.
>>89184 >Anons coworker sees M in the office >M waves at the two of them >"Who is that?" >Anon turned and squints at M I dunno, man. Doesn't look like he plays card games either. Now, let's go talk about sports.
https://files.catbox.moe/lepbu2.zip last thread an anon asked for the non-upscaled versions of my drawings for the booru. I've separated them into a folder and turned them into a Zipfile.
>>89198 The wolf she unknowingly conceals under a facade of humanity (you know what I mean) will come out. You sure you want that? Feral eldritch fleshbeast cuddles?
>>89209 >Negev becomes traumatized as she believes that Mother turned Beretta into a small limbed creature as punishment, causing Negev to further justify her wanting of Uzi's death >Meanwhile the Bugretta is just wondering how it even got there and when this bitch is going to give her food because she hasn't eaten in over 30 seconds
>sitting on the couch with bugretta >bugretta sticks out her tongue >I place a cheeze-it on it >she slowly pulls her tongue back inside her mouth and munches on the cracker >I give her back a scratch as we sit and watch star trek together >the oogis at the base of the couch continue to cry and scream, tugging at the hem of my pants and beating their little fists against my ankles, desperate to free bugretta from my evil clutches
>>89226 NTA but honestly I'm not surprised that Lizzy's character invokes such visceral hatred in some people, particularly given that she's more or less a bad-bitch valley girl caricature
>>89229 How am I supposed to plug my Laborbot in if her 'ears' are bent?! I knew I should've bought a Worker Drone... Very based work so far, keep it up!
>>89228 >Generally just a cunt >Accomplice to a serial killer >Invincible because the author thinks it's funny, no other reason (personal pet peeve) She sucks.
>>89223 (me) >>89224 (me) this is bueno but i also imagined scenarios in which she’d try to keep her human-ness a secret from N, who’s too big of a dummy to realize there’s something different about her
>they managed to save Rebecca >originally the doctors expected she was going to be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of her life >they just didn't have compatible parts in usable condition >until an expedition team exploring an abandoned outpost turned up some dead stock >an unfulfilled shipment of sex drones >the size disparity between her worker drone upper half and this new lower half was a concern >but the transplant proved successful >now Rebecca's back in working order, taller than any DD >and with legs that put V to shame
>>89207 Real talk, Uzi would blame herself for how Negev turned out. Wishes she had realized sooner why baby Negev was so afraid of her and only her. Has dreams about the happy, mentally healthy person Negev could have been if she had been more diligent with her, who might have even helped her mother finally develop the ability to love herself even as a monster the way the few she trusts with the knowledge of what she is now love her even as a monster.
>>89239 >Clanging my cute Laborbot wife >Using her prongs like handlebars as I take her from behind >Accidentally forgetting to put them back into proper position when company unexpectedly shows up
>>89214 >Rebecca gets back from trolling for cute boys to see a retarded dwarf drone somehow got in and Negev is taking bites out of the floor padding at the sight of it
>>89243 Negev needs a therapist to break through those years of trauma and get her to just try and see eye-to-camera with Uzi. Maybe then she'd see the real truth that her truth-seeking eyes have hidden from her.
>>89224 This is actually a really cool concept. love the art. could be funny to see Jane or john leveling up their worker larp by using something like that mask
>>89215 >body shape would be the same since worker drone >suits can be gender neutral >hair would make it less of a blank slate >no eyes to give lashes literally the only difference that there would be is throwing them in a skirt instead of dress pants.
>>89275 I have no idea why the Anons replying to you aren't naming her, but here's the list in my eyes >Negev >Ivory >Akita? Although she isn't really new we can just finally talk about her now >Elf >Pavo? >Lucy And I'm sure there's others I'm missing sadly, sorry

>>89300 In all seriousness I feel so damn demoralized. All my efforts end in failure. I'll often try my damnest to achieve something, pour my few resources, ingenuity, my hopes and my time, only to find that someone else beat me to it and did it better than I could had hoped. And sometimes even that someone's better result doesn't achieve the social result that I want.
>inb4 don't do it for the (you)s I want to be recognized because that would mean that I have gone far and are inspiring people.
>>89310 My posts are a little scattered around but there were some kek Anons here that saved some of my green text. Let me shown you them. And in case anyone asked, i’m the Anon that made Becca the nurse drone and ETRS AE-051
I'd like to remind everyone that by Elfposting you are distracting her from her job, and she will be very harshly punished if she is unable to meet her toy-making quota before Christmas
>Be you, Anon, a decently well-paid employee working at JCJenson (in Spaaaaaaaaace) >You just finished submitting a particularly annoying report - it took a lot of time and effort, but hopefully it’ll set you up for a promotion. >Not that you couldn’t just… give yourself one, but where’s the fun in that? >“Anon, Anon!” >You turn in your seat just in time for your girlfriend, Gamma, to plow straight into your lap. Hey, Gamma. Ooh, be careful, your coveralls almost got something on my suit. >“Huh?” Her eyes widened as she realized the mishap. “Oh, sorry!” It’s fine, it’s fine. What’s got you all riled up though? >Mentally, you prayed that it wasn’t about Marketing Guy. >Please please please not someone else sniffing around after [the former] Marketing Guy. >If anyone even a little more astute than Carl looked into it… >“Look, I made this for you!” >Gamma searched the multitude of pockets in her jumpsuit for a second before finding a crumpled piece of paper. >She hurriedly thrusts it into your hands; you unfold it to see… >A picture. A crudely made picture, but definitely of you and Gamma. >“Well, what do you think? I… I know it isn’t very good, but…" >She trails off, looking between you, the artwork, and the floor nervously. >It’s pretty quaint. >She definitely missed a few details (like your tie, and your… face) and made a couple of… interesting choices (you aren’t really GREEN, are you? Maybe you need more sun.), but it’s decently done otherwise. I like it. >She perks up, excited. >“R-really?!” Yeah. I haven’t seen any other DDs make art for their boyfriends. It’s cute. >“I… I was just daydreaming again, and I thought I’d… put it to paper.” Well, I love it. Not as much as I love you, mind you, but I’ll treasure this. >You grab some tape from the tape dispenser and attach it to the wall of your ‘executive’ cubicle. >Technically, you aren’t supposed to put anything on the walls, but you think this warrants it. >Gamma is beaming. >One minor question still nags you, though. Where’d you get the paper, by the way? >“Oh, there was a shrewy guy carrying a whole stack of them towards IT, so I just scared him and grabbed a piece.” >You hesitantly lift the paper from against the wall. >Ah. This is… one of Toby’s reports. … just let me know when you want paper and I’ll get you some next time, okay? >Gamma nods excitedly, and you cross your fingers that you don’t get an angry email later today. >Still, things are great here - you wouldn’t trade your life for anything.
>>89323 Day in and day out. Fucking traitor. Loved me? Ha. You didn’t love me. You’ve never loved me, or else you would’ve remembered me. You forgot me. You threw me away. How many others have you thrown away? Ten? Fifty? Hundreds? Why am I stuck like this, while you’re… still you. I had dreams. Of you. With you. I LOVED you. I looked for you for so long… … Why didn’t you look for me? … …
>Beretta moaned again as Anon kissed her. >“O-oh, there! There!” I know. >“I… I love you, Anon.” I love you too, Beretta. >The two continued their embrace, the only witnesses the slews of plushies that Beretta had collected (for some reason) over the years. >Most were resigned to their fates - why fight it? >New arrivals only remained stoics for so long. >Confusion turned to anger. >Anger turned to outrage. >Outrage faded into grief. >And eventually, the grief left nothing. >Even the most determined of souls gave way to the doldrums of inevitability. >The newest addition to the collection still had a spark of fury, but she too would fall - give it time.
>Somewhere, far away, MG laughed to himself for no particular reason. >P looked a little annoyed, but that was fine. >He wouldn’t understand the joke.
>Fun OC Facts: Negev eats those little robo-roaches, for the life-sustaining oil inside them. Retarded dwarf drones do not canonically exist in her timeline, but if they did she'd eat them too if she were to get over her fear of them.

Unironically ever since i seen like the dead space md fanart of technomorph Drones on google. I immediately went back to playing dead space 2 and even bought dead spcace 3
>>89370 I need to buy the og one again. Bought it on my old xbox 360. Nothing beats the horror of fucking everything on the ship trying to kill you at a young age.
>>89372 I've never really been too much of a gamer. So I never got that experience. Love dead space though. Some really cool designs. Wish we got more unique solver drones and solver limbs
>>89377 Same man. Since liam used dead space 3 as an inspiration for like copper-9 and stuff. I was hoping that there would have been more eldritch body horror stuff with it.

As of now, i’m still trying to figure out the name for the “Solver’s relative” that i mentioned in AE-051’s revamped fact sheet as well as the name of the techno-organic virus and how the infected would look.

>>89392 I was talking about Negev, since she's in the same timeline as Beretta. But giving your mom Vietnam flashbacks just by entering her field of view sucks a big one too.

Then methods cover the actual process of generation. They would also ideally be capable of providing specific and timely feedback on what you're doing correctly, and where you could use improvement (like, the perspective being incorrect or a figure being drawn with asymmetry in the wrong places, or an error in lighting).

>>87193 >Well, Avre was less helpful than you expected, but maybe you can parse the basic mechanics of these on your own. You give your sword a few more swings, noticing how it leaves a brief, luminous blue trail for a split second when “Activated,” before wondering how you can turn it off so you might try something new. Almost on cue, it rapidly folds back up into your arm with a bunch of whirring sounds. You inspect your hand before, in a moment of curiosity, focusing intensely on the sword coming out of your left arm. Once again, right on cue, it comes out of your hand, with you jokingly giving it a couple fancy spins because you think they look cool before willing it to retract, which it does with some slight focus. You momentarily wonder why you all have blue glowing bits, but conclude that it lacks importance and you can ask about that later. >Pulling up the menu again, you sift through the options, trying to find something that sounds remotely familiar. You don’t even know what a Macron rifle is! Same with whatever a “Linear Graviton Projector” is supposed to be. However, you notice a pattern in that the ones with more complicated names have symbols next to them that resemble padlocks. Inquisitively, you select a “Locked” weapon, but it merely says “Unauthorized for new trainees.” Guess these are too strong for a newbie like yourself. You check the melee drop down menu, only to find two options, one of which you’ve already used in the form of the plasma saber. The other one reads “Claws” and has no lock symbol. Guess it’s simple. Selecting the claws, your fingertips produce a clicking sound as small sharp blades emerge from each finger. >You trace them along a nearby rock, leaving visible damage as if your fingers were hot knives sifting through butter. For some reason, they also begin to glow blue like the sword. You raise a hand before slashing it back down, creating a similar glowing trail. Quite unique if you do say so yourself. You give it a couple of more swings, trying to get your form a little more balanced. You’ll likely be fighting, so it’s good to do that. You will them back into your body, and they do so on command. >You pull up the menu once more and select another drop down menu. Reads “Misc.” In it, you see a pair of selections along with one that’s locked. There’s a multi-tool and a “Visor,” but the one that appears the be locked, however, are wings. Great, guess you’ll have to learn to fly later on. You know what a multi tool is, but what’s a visor? You select the aforementioned device, only for two pieces of metal to seemingly come out of nowhere and cover your face. Yet you can somehow still see. Your display reads “BATTLE VISOR ACTIVE,’ SELECT VISION TYPE.” >What could that mean? 34/??
Okay, hear me out: timeline where Beretta and Negev coexist with Colt and Akita. Beretta and Negev are the middle children (they're fraternal twins in a way, remember) of the four. Poor Colt used to be able to share straight man duties with Beretta. Now she's learning shit about herself that's causing her to lose it.
>>89487 Uzi would still be a workaholic who's never there for her, she just now has the additional reason to be away of the sight of Akita reminding her she's an abomination now.

>>89491 when people take canon characters and make them uncharacteristically horny. i don’t mean just drawing them having sex, i mean having them do things that are totally out of character just for the sake of horniness - like making N into a rapey dominant alpha wolf, or uzi into a spineless submissive little mouse, ughhh i love these characters a whole bunch, and i don’t like to see their whole characters get reduced to just horny stuff. don’t get me wrong, i wanna clang N more than anyone on this earth, but i get tired of that kinda stuff real fast. i’m probably just the odd one out here, though i also detest the term “correction”. gross AF.
>>89509 Oh yes Earning Alice's trust must be a paradisical feel Managing to have such a connection with her, my dream. She would be so precious to hold close, her light sleek body... >>89523 >>Anons getting OC lore wrong, yes I know it's autistic This, but with Sentinel Drones After Phoenixanon made that series of posts where he said he doesn't understand why SD OC's merely borrow the aesthetic, while disregarding all of his lore, I find myself becoming more critical
>>89541 Is there a place to study up on Sentinel Drone lore in general? All I've seen are greens about Sentinel Drones, but nothing actually detailing all the lore.
I want to know since I want to include some Sentinel Drones in The Phantom Pain.
>>89543 Yes she definitely would and it would fuck her up. Chances are she might choose to ignore it at first, wanting to believe in the possibility of a happy ending, but something will just be way too nice and set her off, like her and Uzi just suddenly making up
>>89538 I feel like struggling to survive for untold years only to have the daughter of your bully come down and fuck everything up is reason enough to hold a grudge
>>89541 I might have missed some thread stuff but did Phoenix really 'claim' Sentinel Drones as a concept (genuine question)? I thought he was chill with people coming up with ideas of their own Sentinels Drones for their own setting so long as they're not placed in his fanfic stuff.
>>89541 I'm not super familiar with the original concept but I remember there being something about how their emotions are restricted and they're incapable of romantic feelings and honestly fuck that
>>89543 I figure her canonical happy ending happens around the same time as the "Beretta loses her shit and becomes a Brundlefly" incident. Except Negev can't get much crazier then she already is so her reaction to seeing she's a cyborg eldritch fleshbeast wolf monster in drone skin is to attempt to surrender to Mother.
>>89400 you being a faggot aside, plus threads arent interesting enough for a thread simulator. Maybe last year when shit like "Cyn is AM's dommy mommy" and the nanite nut were still new and anons were cranking out brainrot and autism every hour, it would have worked, but not anymore.
>>89546 Outside of just asking Phoenixanon, not really Probably 99% of SD greens you have read take place in the "Sentinel Base AU", which differs heavily from the lore But here are the posts I was talking about which detail a couple things about them >>79767 >>79791 >>79817
>>89553 No, he never said that people couldn't make anything with them, or try to stop people from making stuff. You can see the actual posts above

>>89555 >>89543 Ends up being an opportunity for Uzi to get her to realize she loves her and wishes she realized why she's always been terrified of her sooner.
>>89561 Yea but due to the nature of the greentext Uzi is going to immediately forget once it's over. Besides, I personally don't think we should rush a happy ending with Negev, although if we wish, we could write some greens for your good ending timeline
>>89543 "Negev has meta-awareness" is just a flanderization of "Negev can somehow see Uzi's Solver side" turning into "Negev sees the world for what it really is" and then going into meta territory, because that's the recent Theme.
>>89563 >>89562 >Negev sat in her cell, staring up at the ceiling. >"Stop it." She muttered. "Stop. Stop messing with my life. I know you're there. Please just leave me alone..." >To her surprise, the writer honored her wishes, and Negev felt the presence fade...
>>89564 I think the Negev being self-aware theme came from both a greentext where she met Anon and saw him as the faceless avatar he is and somehow the SD-Q greentext where Anon is a godly douche
>>89541 >>89546 Ive been trying to fix this with my OC's (Avre & Relaimer-class Sentinel drones) but im the tinyest bit on the fence about it:
1. Im still trying my best to figure what exactly the direction phenox is going with them, but honestly i still dont know really what that is yet
2. what i do know (which is early, possibly outdated), Sentinel where just constant loops of various personality disorders, constant mind wipes, and overall a horrible time for both the drone itself and its creator to write, and im not entirely sure i want to write something so extremely mind-fucky.
(also im like 2.5k words into part 6 for the Salon/Avre green, no spoilers but im hoping it ties off alot of loose ends with her, and brings her a bit closer in line to how sentinels are meant to be... i hope)
>>89524 >Alice dead Ultimately depends on what you count as 'dead'. Alice's damage is limited to her upper head, so she's definitely blind right now, but her body otherwise is literally untouched. After adding the ai cores the outdated WD cutaway's computer in the back of a drone's head doesn't serve much purpose anymore, if it is even there at all right now (maybe it is used actively in standard WDs, who are simply programmed, operating via computer with the core only as powersource, doesn't matter in that case tho), so a drone's head is in function 'nothing more' than a glorified sensory and communication platform. Now one can argue about technical specifics all day and I will write all of the stuff I found down some day, but it can all be simplified by skipping to the point of Alice being a zombiedrone. Means : >Core failsafe no longer working, no core death from fatal error (compare the image from 6 where she has her face smashed against a wall and looses a ton of oil, she's obviously still going at it, with the manordrone killed by James in 5 via screendamage)(point being, ZDs 'die' for the first time, but their cores don't due to luck, their system shuts down tho. The core however still runs, providing power, so sometime sooner or later the 'AI' which stems from the use of a singularity in their cores takes over, revooting the body which is in many cases not mechanically destroyed [see Cyn waking up in 5, also with holes in her screen].) >Means the programed docile, very limited standard WDs (blue eyes in the manor) seem to operate via classical programming (need computer since I doubt cores can be programed, core AI feature was likely unintended side effect from using singularity as powersource), once they die the sytem shuts down after fatal error, ideally killing the core. However as said, the pins aren't too reliable, so if the core keeps running it eventually takes over. >Which causes the vastly more extensive personalities in ZDs like Alice, the other CFL and manordrones, even Doll & Uzi which due to being born as hosts don't need to 'die' first, they skipped being a zd. All of our main/memorable characters have this feature, except Lizzy Thad and Khan, it shows in personality a lot. Back to what this means fir Alice now. Her head is defunct, but she evidently experiences no progressive leaking of oil, which could disable her further (like what happened to 029) so it is TECHNICALLY completely possible for Alice to come back herself. It has absolutely solid evidence, even if it seems like an asspull method to bring her back. So let's say the bootloop keeps her frozen. Her remaining frozen afte her head is destroyed is another piece of evidence, 029 was limp due to mechanical failure (oil loss, oil is for cooling, no oil no movement) but Alice remains in position, which is unique, if you look at 6's intro with the Sentinels killing the other subjects, all which were finished off are limp, Alice was never finished off tho. (Finished off in the way of making the body unusable, Sentinels don't target cores as we know).
So yeah I spent way too much time piecing it all together and tested it several times, but it seems that Alice is by all means alive, possibly even able to get back up at some point, but that might be a stretch, let's say the bootloop doesn't stop that easily when computer hardware is damaged.
>>89569 >Negev was the most popular girl in Murder Drones Academy, and everyone loved her. >She was a very stoic kuudere. >And also a magical girl (no solver.) >Did I mention she and her mom loved each other and her dad was a huge goofball?
>>89573 I don't think the cores detonate on fatal error, or else they wouldn't have power. At least there's got to be a pretty significant grace period fatal error has before the core detonates.
>>89568 >what i do know (which is early, possibly outdated), Sentinel where just constant loops of various personality disorders, constant mind wipes, and overall a horrible time for both the drone itself and its creator to write, and im not entirely sure i want to write something so extremely mind-fucky. This is still true based on the most recent lore posts I've seen. Don't take this entirely as fact, since I'm not Phoenixanon, but this is what I know >ALL SD AI uses K's persona as a base, meaning all SD's are effectively clones of K >They all have layers upon layers of programming meant to suppress their personalities, and K's personality >They also get very frequent memory wipes >This makes them mostly robotic and extremely autistic at first >They also have a lot of compulsions caused by their programming >Over time they will slowly develop personalities based on their experiences, but their personalities will still be a lot more subtle than worker drones >Eventually some of K's memories and personality will begin to emerge in them, doubly so if they somehow miss any memory wipes >K's personality emerging in them makes them very unstable mentally, and is usually fixed by doing a full factory reset, effectively killing them >If this doesn't happen and their personality degradation continues they can end up going rogue, either going insane, or becoming vengeful against their creators
>>89566 >>89564 >>89561 This is why I'm probably never gonna touch the Uzi familia. There's waaaay too much lore on them and 90% of it is stuff you had to be there to appreciate.
>>89569 It's totally fine, I'm pretty positive that it's an unspoken rule of OCs, just as long as you follow her background and character, but aside from that I don't see why you can't get creative with it. Hell, maybe you could write a story where Uzi isn't a Centipede and Negev is actually insane...or more insane to be exact >>89587 Honestly dude, for Negev there isn't actually that much, just read the greens on the booru. Trust me, what were just discussing is a small idea by different Anons, which probably won't stick.
>>89577 Yeah, it isn't sure that FATAL ERROR triggers the failsafe (technically failsafe only jumped into action after detecting Solver activity), but something is there that has to prevent all drones from eventually gaining conciousness and coming back. Need to look at the ZD tape again to see if it can answer that. If you are right, then every drone is salvageable, difference being normal drones are still limited by programming, ZDs had everything shutdown which made it possible for the 'AI', which is an artificial intelligence but not digital, since cores aren't digital, to take over the orderwise empty body.
>>89599 I legitimately would if I had the time, same reason I haven't personally written a Negev green. My life seems to be getting way more busy and it fucking sucks
>E is reheating her favorite (non-banana) meal in the break room >jellied eels in mint sauce >her coworkers take offense to this >J marches up to E and get up in her visor, telling her what's what >the two disassemblers ratchet up the aggression, pressing their bodies (and their mammary adapters) against one another as they gesture, growl, and bare their teeth at one another >suddenly there's a jolt of electricity between the two >their company-mandated anti-teamkilling programming just kicked in, followed swifty by reconciliation software calculating the quickest route to restoring team functionality >the two disassemblers continue to press against one another, this time pressing their lips together, their tongues wresting as their fingers quickly undo one another's clothing >E deftly unties J's tie and starts popping the buttons of her collar, exposing J's lacy, black lingerie >J breaks off the kiss only to raise E's sweater above her head, exposing her massive sweater puppies to the world >the jellied eels are quickly forgotten, the break room quickly overwhelmed with the heady scent of disassembler sweat and musk as the two kiss and make up
>>89598 (6/6) Aw fuck, I messed up again. I couldn't find the actual Doll one, but this one is crucial as well. You get the gist, right? God I'm tired. Goodnight thread, hopefully I'll be better eventually
>>89521 I know I know. We'll get there eventually. In any case, there will be no lack of Alice lewds soon, even got a comic in planning which is all onmodel and imo really nice. Gotta do her in very tight shorts first tho, for monke brain
>>89568 (me) >>89585 (not me) Thats not quite as bad as i remember it being, and honestly I might be able to work with it. Granted I get to bend the rules 'a little', mostly due to:
>Reclaimers being based off the Disassembly drones they where captured as (Still mind wiped, heavy suppression programs, and overall normal sentinel brain fuckery, but at the end it still 'technically' the same drone) >Avre in particular is already far in her carrier as a Sentinel, and already has a (extremely autistic) new personality built off her experiences and what few memory's she has kept from the past. >nearly 100% of her 'quirks' are in some way shape or form side effects of various PTSD induced symptoms, which keep coming back even after memory wipes. (pt6 covers alot of this, i honest to god might accidentally bloat one of the future generals just loredumping about her when im finally finished with it)
>>89594 So Negev is Beretta's daughter? She literally spit Negev out but it says in the same breath it's Uzis. Were they going for a fraternal twin eating the other deal?
>>89607 >Granted I get to bend the rules 'a little', mostly due to: Yeah, it's pretty hard to write a comfy love story between a human and a drone while being 100% accurate to the Phoenix setting, mainly because it's specifically meant to be super grimdark and fucked up. iirc, one of the big reasons why personality degradation induced insanity and rogue K-possessed drones aren't extremely common, is that 99% of sentinel drones die before ever reaching that point. The war is held in a very precarious stalemate, sentinel drones are stretched extremely thin and are constantly fighting, and their attrition rates are terrible. But again, this is just what I remember, don't take it as 100% fact.
>>89605 There was, yeah. Idea was that the demons were entities from universes the Solver previously ate that Uzi wasn't able to keep down and disgorged as $escaped_data.
This is getting pathetic, it has to be screamed from the rooftops apparently The entirety of Negev is two kids in a trenchcoat screaming from the distance whenever Beretta or the post good ending is mentioned And they’re outside the club looking in because everybody knew from the start that they were phonies I’m gonna be the first dude to tell you fuck that “let people do what they want” stuff There will never be an inherent Beretta and Negev She is never going to be, “Beretta’s sister in the PGE”, she will only ever be seen as “Beretta, and also Negev Doorman” You can have your Negev, you can still write her as dogshit as currently you do when you deliberately choose to make her entire story her being locked in prison, never interacting with any other characters (key reason of why Beretta and most OC’s become so successful), or even any setting except “Beretta does this thing, Negev ALSO would do this thing if she were there” You can have Negev, like you can have Akita Akita is not Beretta, but everybody likes them because they are clearly defined within their stories and their environments (which they each actually have, not just some gimmick) Akita is not Beretta, like Negev is not Beretta You gotta move past this “wanting to be part of the PGE timeline” bs, you’re only restricting her (literally) when you reduce her to an add on instead of being a real character Write Negev, not “Beretta’s little sister”
>>89523 >>89547 >still crying and screaming about loaves Mind fucking broken, how long until you have a meltdown and start crying to Black Hand to ban them >>89502 ah, Father Anderson
>>89623 Honestly as someone with very little skin in this it's not Beretta's little sister. It's Beretta's and Uzi's obligation that just happens to take the shape of a tiny screamy drone.
>Negev and Akita get along well enough >They spent time talking out of view of each other, got to know each other, then met face-to-face >Negev had expected a horrifying monster akin to Mother, not a... creature, but one shaped distinctly like a sister rather than a demon >Now Akita makes plenty of visits to take care of her, seeing past her madness for the hurt drone she is >Sometimes she wishes they could switch bodies, that would solve so many problems for both of them... >But when she brought that up to Negev, she started laughing madly before darkly saying "No. You don't want that." >Not like it could happen, anyway
I choose to believe this is all one action. >>89634 >>89630 >>89629 >Femanon punches N so hard she crits, cuts him in half, then has to connect all the bits back together. >She does this every day to 'toughen him up'.
>>89613 the setting Ive been figuring out for this story kinda ended up as its own thing compared to phoenix's Lore and a few other AU's settings (Harpers, Dronebase AU, etc.) This setting is kinda imagining a almost Post-war/Hodr setting where it kinda shows whats going on with the various drone types now that the fighting is 'mostly' over:
>Worker drones are more re less in the same spot, albeit better treated because "treating them shit ended up getting half of humanity wiped fuck-wit"
>Disassembly drones rehabilitated into society are being met with mixed reactions, worker drones where quick to accept them, but humanity was mildly hesitant for a few years.
>Sentinel drones of all types got easier to produce as the war winded down, with them almost outnumbering the Disassembly drones by the Solver wars end, and besides smaller conflicts, left alot of mentally unstable and physically strong drones without a purpose. the particularly bad ones where just stasis'd forever while the more stable ones where slowly switched to labor/Security jobs while R&D finally started putting funding into getting these poor drones some mental help. Avre was one of the Sentinels bordering that Stasis zone.
>>89638 >She does this every day to 'toughen him up'. Nah, a full-power punch is just how you calibrate your disassembly drone. If you don't do it they get messy and rude.
>>89623 >The entirety of Negev is two kids in a trenchcoat screaming from the distance whenever Beretta or the post good ending is mentioned No. I have never done this, I find that kind of thing gay and infuriating. >You can have your Negev, you can still write her as dogshit as currently you do I will admit, I have my issues, mostly that being a lack of time to actually work things out, I wanted to push out a green where Negev and Beretta do truly interact, along with a big confrontation with Uzi as Negev attempts to expose her; However, life is just genuinely getting worse for me and I can't dedicate my time anymore to writefagging like I want to. I'd say that Negev Secundus has actually done a really great job with the characters interacting, sure I have my disagreements, but still. >You gotta move past this “wanting to be part of the PGE timeline” bs, you’re only restricting her (literally) when you reduce her to an add on instead of being a real character. Write Negev, not “Beretta’s little sister” I've always somewhat felt conflicted about Negev being related to Beretta or even existing in a universe with her, but I was told to continue to have that shared universe when I asked about it, so it just kinda stuck. Although, I'm really curious as to what you want to do, you seem to have a passion that's fading from me, so please if you're willing, I'd like to hear your proposal. I'm just writing and taking suggestions when I can.
>>89641 My first suggestion is to get Negev out of prison Get her into to the world that she apparently exists in as a real person Have her escape or some shit, anything to get her out of the literal restrains placed on her story and character I might just do something with that
Student with Demons (Negev Doorman, year unknown) Crazy the kind of shit you can draw with crayon. Schizos are just built different. Thanks for the worldbuilding idea, >>89175
If you heard a drone say brain rot terms like skibidi, rizz, or Ohio how would you kill them? Would you just shut them down mercifully or do they need to feel pain?
>>89608 Fraternal twin eating the other was my intent, yeah. Beretta kinda just spit up a writhing tumor that happened to eventually grow into a sentient goober
>>89644 >Have Negev escape I've always wanted to do that, it was one if my plans to have her pull a Hannibal Lector back in October. Then ya know, shit happened. I genuinely feel the same frustrations you do. I just wish I could deliver it
>>89644 I mean, I had the idea that her cell's not exactly well-guarded because the outpost's drones are completely incompetent when it comes to guard duty, and Beretta or anyone else sympathetic breaks her out on a regular basis.
>>89657 They're good at one thing specifically. That's why they had an incredibly thin ceiling for their outpost that the DD's could've just smashed through at any point if they weren't occupied by the doors.
>>89642 what does this mean? >>89648 i’d smile and laugh, accept their brainrot because it’s just harmless fun and every generation had their own “cring” stuff
>>89663 I'm going to say drawfriends, sure it sucks when you write a fucking green that's a bitch to figure out for an hour and a half and get no (you)'s but most drawings take longer and have a somewhat equal likelihood of getting ignored.
>>89648 I chain them down and force them to watch all of Skibidi Toilet with several pauses to recap and discuss episodes. You will learn sincerity, child of irony.
I watched two Unnons fight for the right to mlem with a Bugretta. The winning Unnon leaned in and was subsequently devoured by the Bugretta. Damn nature you scary
>>89665 drawings can take longer but I'd argue they're less likely to be ignored simply because they have okay odds of catching the eye unlike a wall of text
V? I oneshot her. J? I oneshot her. N? I oneshot him. Cyn? I oneshot her. Uzi? I oneshot her. Thad? I oneshot him. Lizzy? I oneshot her. Alice? I oneshot her. Sentinels? I oneshot them. Khan? I oneshot him. Nori? I oneshot her. Tessa? I oneshot her. Any questions?
>>89677 Okay so get this, what if the human is a skinny twink of a man that's highly intelligent, but that's it and he's effectively useless at everything else?
>>89685 Sounds good but make him a goober as well. And Beretta should want to fuck his brains from his skull within 5 minutes of meeting because he’s nice.
>>89690 Good idea! We'll also give him wavy brown hair and brown/black eyes. Maybe he'll also wear a theme appropriate outfit? Like if he's a scientist he'll wear a labcoat 24/7 to remind you that he's a scientist?

>>89632 Cute. Warms my heart to see people writing about Akita.
Since Akita's backstory wasn't made with the thread's post canon ending in mind, I wonder how exactly she would fit in. Beretta and Negev are also Solver-born creatures when you strip them of their drone parts, so Akita being the odd one out feels like something that should be addressed for a serious setting. I've been thinking about it and can't come up with anything that doesn't require a lot of tweaks to her and other characters.
Fuck, the next greentext story is going to take a while since i have like 3 others on the side as well. So to fill in my quota. Here’s some facts about Becca IN the downfall of the space station.
>As the station becomes overrun with the techno-organic virus infecting both human and machine alike into cybernetic monsters. Poor innocent Becca became a little unstable with the death now lurking around every corner. >Tries to cope by trying to act like her typical cheerful/happy self, only for it to shatter immediately and go into a panic attack so bad she starts mimicking hyperventilating breathing. >Still has the pink hair that she had wore around the first patients that were infected with the virus. Only now that it is no longer in a ponytail and is now a complete mess. >Uniform is splattered with dark red blood. >Had to break her hippocratic oath and forced to kill Dr. Victor West; a father-like figure and the first person that kept her secret after he turned. >Has PTSD. >Emotionally Attached to Patient Zero due to the fact that he is the only one left that was under her care. >Someone please give the trauma nurse with trauma a hug. She really needs it.
>Lucy jumped out. "Boo!" >U- and -U jumped slightly in surprise. >"¿Qué mierda?" "¿Qué coño?" Both drones screamed in unison. >Lucy paused, her Dracula cape sagging slightly. >"Oh. I didn't think that would actually work..." >After recovering from their surprise, the two drones scrutinized Lucy. >"You look like a dork." U- added. >"You look like a dork." Lucy retorted. >"She's right you know." -U elbowed her sister. >"We look the same you dork!" U- punched her sister in the shoulder. >As the play fight threatened to become an actual fight, Lucy noticed a man moving around in the house the two drones were heading towards. >"Who's that?" Lucy asked. >"Huh?" U-U looked at Lucy, then back at Anon. "Oh." They looked back towards Lucy. "Ohhh, I just got a great idea." "Me too!"
>"Boo!" Lucy, U- and -U said in unison. >"Jesusfuckshit!" Screamed Anon as he dropped his coffee and his ass.

The election! We all have our views, Boogi, Enn, Vees, Oogis, normal people?" >Laughter. >"But yeah, in the name of fair, non-biased partisan discussion, we're pandering to your politics!" >"FUCK BOOGRETTA!" >Somebody in the crowd screamed for everybody to hear. An agitator on the other side quickly picked up. >"ENN IN HELL!" >"FUCK YOU, BOOGI LOVER!" >Q tried to pick up on the microphone. "Woah, politics, am I ri-" >"ENN LOST!" >"OOO AHH ON THIS, FUCKO!" >"Hey guys, this is a civil discussion. I know we all have stro-" >"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME? IMMA FUCK YOU UP!" >One worker drone took his shoes off, and threw them across the room. >Then another threw a brick. >Then somebody chucked a steel chair. >What the hell? >Things were rapidly escalating out of control. >"Bet, what the fuck do we do?" >"I don't know, why the hell would you choose to discuss the ELECTION?" >"I-I thought it would get views - it's in vogue!" >"You don't even know anything about Oogi politics! You're a fucking murder drone!" >The crowd broke into a riot, and the lousy WDF security couldn't do jack shit about it. >"MAKE AAAAAAAH GREAT AGAIN!" >"BUGRETTA IS A LABORBOT ASSET!" >Oil began to be spilled as drones began to tear eachother apart, limb from limb. Then they took those limbs, and used them as blunt weapons. >"...Bet?", Q asked. >"What's up?" >"Do you think we're going to lose viewers over this?" >"..." >"...Nah. Just let the crowd do it's thing. It's healthier than the alternative." >"O-Oogis are serious business." >"Yeah." >Coming up next episode, Serial Designation Q and Bet steamy sex tape revealed? >>89738 i don't have a drawing for this part bc i thought it would've fit in one post, excuse the Don't Starve berry bush picture HAHAHAHA - - Present day >with a turn of the key, Irma’s snowmobile goes quiet after she finds a place to park >SD-H makes his landing as well >”Seems like the blizzard is picking up. I just need to make sure everything’s okay.” >he quietly follows Irma as she makes her way to a shed >”Seems like nothing’s bothered this shed. No holes... No signs of break-in... That’s good.” >she turns her attention elsewhere >”H-hey guys... I’m sorry I haven’t been here... in a while.” >SD-H notices the six unmarked gravestones that she seems to be talking to >”Some stuff has been... y’know, going on. I w-want you guys to meet Serial Designation H.” >he takes a glance at Irma, and looks around >the smile on her face fades >”S-sorry... this is a little awkward.” >”...Are you... talking to someone?” >”N-no one in particular... My team leader... he used to do this kind of thing... at his parents’ graves. He said, it... it kind of helped him deal with their passing. I wish... it did the same for me.” >”...I see.” >”He’s here.” she points to the far right gravestone >”He’s the last man of my old team... that I had to bury, many years ago.” >he nods to Irma and stands firm, giving an affable salute >a gesture that made her smile again >"He's a big guy, with an even bigger heart. I'm sure he would've enjoyed meeting you." >”Next to him is Daniel, Alessia, Hector, and the two over here are Garrett and Matilda.” >SD-H follows suit with a bow >”... I wish I could tell you more about them but the weather might get worse soon. O-oh, another thing. Please help me get one of the bushes over there.” >”What are they for?” >”This native plant... I don’t know how my team leader found out, he never told me the story but they’re a strong deterrent to those six-legged bear... things. I just want to bring one back to my current station. H-Hopefully having some grow nearby would help keep them as far as possible.” >he nods, and they both make quick work of carefully unearthing the bush before Irma places it onto her snowmobile and secures it >seems like there’s more to this place and Irma than meets the eye >he wants to ask about the name she mentioned before, Ophelia, yet it seems he may have to try again another time >”I’m all set. This bush should ward any of those creatures off b-but...” >”I’ll keep an eye out while we make the way back.” >”T-thanks H.” >as they travel, he secretly hopes he doesn’t have to kill the creatures in front of her out of the concern that she may end up becoming afraid of him as well >fortunately, they seemed to have cleared off and they manage to return to Irma’s outpost safely before the snowstorm worsened >waving to Irma as she enters the outpost, he flies back, making note of things he might want to discuss with his captain or even SD-L
Sentinel Base AU >K doesn't exist, SD's are created by modifying existing drones that have a special anti-solver code or something >They keep all their existing memories and are basically the same personality wise as they were pre-SD >SD's have no memory fuckery, suppression or mandatory memory wipes >Personality degradation still exists, but it's just caused by regular PSTD stuff instead of K's persona emerging within them >The cure for the above is therapy and stuff, rather than being recycled >Humans treat drones really nicely, instead of just seeing them as tools. SD's love their job and are proud to be defending humanity >There's a large base where all the SD's live that is super comfy and relaxing. They only get deployed on missions every so often and spend most of their time lounging around the base, relaxing >No clue what the status of the war is, but it must be going pretty well in comparison to the Phoenix canon >Overall essentially a much more lighthearted and noblebright version of the original
HODR >Humans, DD's, SD's, Solver hosts, etc... all live together in harmony >They're all united under one primary goal >Having sex with human men >Basically just the setting for people who want to write about drone x human stuff

>>89836 No they don't. Zombie drones are just drones that self-rebooted after being thrown into dumps when they were damaged enough to render a fatal error warning message (the visor can be damaged, the core is still intact). The pie chart (CORE TERMINATION REJECTION/FUTURE OS COMPLICATIONS meaning plausible things that can happen to a drone when they self-reboot) says 70% chance of reboot with no visible changes, 29% terminal lockout (meaning utterly defunct with likely no chance of getting that drone back/scrap material).
>>89836 No. That requires being a Solver host. Evidence would be that there are plenty of exposed corpses flashing the 1001/core reboot code, and necessarily if they did burn up in light, they would've already done so.

Ok, pretty much feel like I've finalized my version of the Laborbot design. It's a little less bulky, a bit longer in the leg and I made some design changes based on personal preference but I feel like I included enough of the original for it to be absolutely clear what it's supposed to be. I've been binge-playing Death Stranding as of late so that shark blue contrasted with bright orange or yellow has been sticking in my head as of late. I like the idea of all the stock laborbots in the Sector 4 AU having that kind of standardized industrial paint scheme
