Hello my Friends! I hope your days is going awesome. Do you want to talk about Drones? Let's talk about them, and maybe even let's talk about how they will do in the coming holidays, happy moments. Anyway, let's talk about the Drones, the Threads, and everything related! Hope you have a good day. The Cheerful Booru: https://dronebooru.co Last Thread: >>78063 The Wheel of magnificent OCs: https://wheelofnames.com/8hc-stc
>>78738 >>78798 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Souls%27_Day >On Day of the Dead people take candles and flowers (especially chrysanthemums) on the tombs or graves of all their loved ones and relatives thus many people travel around the country to distant cemeteries.
>>79011 >You and Holly are sitting on the couch watching some TV at home for a home date 'experiment' >Both of you are dressed pretty casually, with Holly even busting out the baggy sweatpants >She's kind of nestled into you (which means your meme addled brain keeps spamming you with 'Nice' and pogchamps) >You managed to convince her to watch some really old anime with you, with a funny science character guy you thought she'd like >You forgot some of the details to his character, but you did remember he was pragmatic, just like your girlfriend! >You told Holly this, of course (at work, to her slight chagrin)
>"Anon, I'm trying to finish this report." But Holly, it's really a great show! I mean, Bondrewd, what a guy! You know, you remind me of him a lot! >Holly seemed slightly more curious than irritated now >"Really?" Yeah! >"Hmmm... well, I will admit I'm intrigued... alright. We shall perform an experiment observing this character you think is like me. It'll allow me to gauge how good of a judge of character traits you are." Great! >"Now, go! I have things to attend to and the rest of the team gets slack when I'm not around." Alright, Holly. >You give her a peck on the cheek and get up to leave. I'll see you later. >Her ears redden and her brow furrows. >"Shoo! Go on!"
>So here you were. >She seemed to be somewhat interested in the lead up to Bondrewd's introduction, which was a good sign. >Yep, you sure we're glad that Bondrewd was a great and upstanding guy who pursued science and never did anything bad to children! >Like, imagine if you'd compared Holly repeatedly to someone who would hurt kids! >That'd be REAL bad! >You pull her tighter against you, smiling as the movie started. >Bondrewd time at last!
>... >... oh God. >You stared at the screen as the film ended. >You say nothing, hoping Holly won't either. >”So… that was Bondrewd?” >You want to die. Yeah… >”And he converted a child into a disposable tool? For the sake of scientific advancement?” Yeah… >Holly says nothing for a second. >You want to throttle your past self. >Finally, she speaks. >”I'm not like him. That was an inefficient use of a life. Workarounds, or methods of increasing efficacy, certainly exist.” So… you're not mad at me? >Holly turns to look at you. >”I will admit, I'm a tad disappointed you'd compare me to a child killer.” I think I'll sleep out here on the couch tonight. >”That might be for the best.”
>>79040 No But I have noticed, at least from what I've seen, most of the OCs here, feel like more on tone with their appearance with MD. Those on twitter look what a 14 year old would think is cool and look like someone vomited a bunch of things onto them, most of them, some designs are cool
>>79051 You've achieved peak character design when a silhouette can allow someone to ID your character. Obviously that isn't super doable nowadays, but simplicity is definitely your friend. Case in point is the Clone High reboot, where the best new design was Columbus just because he wasn't an eye-assaulting vomit rainbow like the other new characters
Wrote a basic characterization of the Peacock Sentinel which I'll call Pavo at the suggestion of one Anon from last thread. >Looks like a nervous mess, talks with a stutter but if you go past that, he’s great company to have around. >Always keeps his appearance pristine – constantly maintains his haircut, likes to keep his chassis clean and polished and changes his suit every day. He washes and irons his suits by himself. >Likes to listen to music from various boy bands and likes to collect merchandise about boy bands. >Is obsessed with astrology. Keeps track of star positions in the sky and monitors planetary positions for their meaning. Reads the daily horoscope and genuinely believes that the zodiac is real and that people are completely different every day and that they'll be very lucky on particular days. >Biggest homosexual Sentinel Drone around. While he doesn’t mind having females as friends, he’s shown only romantic feelings towards men. Is constantly trying to woo Sentinel Drone technician Anon and will not give up until he reciprocates his love. >While he may be a fruitcake back at base, on the battlefields of the Solver War he turns into an entirely different drone. He slaughters Solver machinations with glee and joy while laughing like a madman.
And now, the feathers themselves. >Official designation – “Mark One Mass-Stun Projection Device” >A prototype stun device for Sentinel Drones with Pavo being selected as the test platform. >Because of how it looks like the tails of a peacock, it has been unofficially dubbed the “Peacock Fan”. >The Peacock Fan is 10 times stronger than a Sentinel Drone’s standard light emitters because its designed for mass incapacitation of DDs. The massive number of lights on the “feathers” allow the Peacock Fan to stun DDs at an angle of around 280 degrees meaning that if Pavo were to be surrounded from all sides, half of the DDs around him would get stunned or disoriented. >The “feathers” are high-duty mirrors designed to capture and reflect back any light reflected from the walls and ground for maximum exposure. >Like a male Peacock’s feathers, the Peacock Fan can be retracted or extended at will.
>>79051 Eh, I see it more as a case by case rather than "simplicity = best". A busy design can still look great and garner attention so long as you know how to do a balance of colors and details, and then you have the opposite side of the spectrum where someone will just vomit whatever they think was cool on something with little thought of how it'll all work together.
>>79073 >>79079 >>79080 >A civil war has engulfed the Chan Nebula. >The homosexual anons who want to fuck drone boys demand that heterosexual anons stop opressing them and allow them to have equal representation in the Chan General Assembly. >The homo anons have had enough and declare that they secede from the Chan Nebula. >The hetero anons don't like this one bit and send their military forces to reclaim the seceded territories back. the homo anons answer back with their own military force. >The civil war has no hope of ending any time soon.
YES!!! WAR!!! HATRED!!! I LOVE SEEING ANONS ACTIVELY HATE AND THREATEN EACH OTHER!!! MORE WAR!!! MORE HATE!!! STRAIGHTS KILLING GAYS AND GAYS KILLING STRAIGHTS!!! HATRED EVERYWHERE!!! KEEP SPREADING THE HATE!!!
>>79090 Your insurgency will surely fall as soon as we cut off the supply of Toyotas to your soldiers You'll be forced to use the gayest cars known to man - Subarus - and will surely be demoralized into capitulating
>>79108 Virtute cyn armis, our antifag claymores (the gaymores) will destroy the treads upon your tank like you allow drones to destroy the ridges in your colon You will sucked not by drones, but by the mud around your ankles, into the mire where you shall remain
>>79122 Fah, you don't even have the sense to lust after male Cyn. Truly, you are a heretic of the worst kind, forsaking the embrace of the shapelier feminine form. Prepare to taste the bite of our swordsteel, sent to be judged by Cyn
>>79124 >"Look, brother N" >"The word "gullible" is written on the ceiling" >He looks >It was trick - the word gullible is NOT written on the ceiling >Uzi screams in horror >"No, N! You fell for the oldest trick in the book!" >N is debilitated by his embarrassment and self destructs The true bad ending
>>79061 >Is obsessed with astrology >Is constantly trying to woo Sentinel Drone technician Anon heh >Pavo notices anon sitting at the bar, lookin' fiiiine >swaggers his way over, sashaying his prominent hips, rhythmically shaking his tail feathers >as he draws nearer, they fan out framing his figure with dazzling lights like glittering sapphires >he hops up onto the stool to anon's left, draping himself seductively across the bar >he plays at his top buttons, undoing them to offer a suggestive peek at his bare chest >"heyyy baby" he purrs in the sultriest tone he can muster >Anon glares up at the flamboyant war machine from his third disgustingly watered-down double scotch >he'd seen what this fruitcake was like on the battlefield, and wanted nothing to do with him. >"what's your sign, stud?" the sentinel drone winks. >Anon looks Pavo dead in the eyes >"Trespassers Will Be Shot."
>Anon, no! >Anon, that's not a twink! That's a female drone! >ANOOOOOON
>Your attempts to warn him are cut short as M shoots you >The blood fills your lungs; the light fades from your eyes >But you died upholding the bro code, and that's what makes you >A hero
>>78895 you know what, your question made me think, would it be more in-character for N to, rather than making bullies mysteriously disappear overnight, he personally goes to their house and gives them a really long motivational speech about how they can do better, and how he believes in them! and how they’d be happier if they treated people with kindness. and THEN if they continue to bully his son they disappear overnight. i’ll have to think about what works best but in a really old lorepost i described his wife as “basically a pitbull owner”, so i think she’d be fine with it either way >>78896 KEK oh definitely
>>79145 >BUT WAIT! >IT'S A PLOT TWIST!!! >IN REALITY: It was a rubber bullet, it knocked you out unconscious. Anon already knows that M is a girl. Pavo and Male!Cyn however, do not. They think he fell for another twink, which eliminates the chances of them attempting to woo him over again. Truly, what a genius masterplan!
>>79148 >"...and Pavo blasts at Male Cyn with his particle accelerator, disintegrating the left side of his body!" >"Wait! Wait! He's regenerating! Male Cyn retaliates with a tentacle, slapping Pavo across the arena!" >"Wait...who is that?" >"Is that...? LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! Serial Designation AC gas entered the arena with the folding chair! Oh! OH! HE'S GOING FOR MALE CYN!" >"AND MALE CYN GETS LAUNCHED BY AC'S FOLDING CHAIR INTO THE STRATOSPHERE! Touchdown!" >"He's going for Pavo too! Oh my Solver! Pavo is down and out of the arena, shredded to pieces by folding chair!" >"Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner tonight!"
>>79150 Meanwhile Xi is laughing at the bar as government tax dollars are being put to good use Zeta is being awkwardly hit on by SD-G and Femdrone in a way that says "robo-lord help terminate me now."
>>79165 Anon that’s the point. Also >One of the Sentinels, perhaps Intoner, is a fujo >Constantly trying to get Anon to fuck Pavo by setting up situations
>>79171 Anon, Pavo is capable of single-handedly destroying an entire platoon of disassembly drones, and only the fact that he's soft is keeping you from get raped.
>>79162 based i haven’t really explored the “dark” parts of these characters much yet, just subtle stuff (Shepherd’s existential crisis, the mom’s insecurity issues, U+1F913 being a bullying victim, N being slightly murderous just like how we know him from the show) but if other people wanna see that, then i’d love to write more about it :] 👍 earlier today i actually had an idea prompted by your “skeletons in his wardrobe” comment, about Shepherd when he was a kid, playing recklessly, and accidentally causing the death of a drone kid, which haunts him, he thinks about that drone’s face all the time and who they might’ve been now if they were still alive - and now he faces the dilemma of either “my dad and brother aren’t real living beings and maybe i’m not either” vs. “i robbed an innocent person of their life with my carelessness” but i’m not sure if i’ll go that route
>>79179 >spoiler Interesting observation about the "livingness" of a hybrid. Maybe one of the unfortunate side effects of being a predominantly human one would be the need to suddenly replace a malfunctioning organ that starts turning more mechanical, or incompatible blood typing (due to nanites in the blood or something, idk) - a constant crisis of mortality juxtaposed with the fact his brother and father are potentially immortal, meaning that simply buries it behind an upbeat facade that could slip occasionally (if U+ starts bellyaching about something insignificant, for example) Could be a great opportunity for a raw heart to heart (or core or whatever) where he vents his own fears
>>79179 >spoiler Woooow, It's already hard. Something like this should be the main driver of story development, adding it so abruptly would be too stand out.
>>79192 For sure, they definitely offer a more mundane (but still dramatic and thoughtful) approach to the MD universe, and I appreciate some good slice of life
>>79190 >Pavo is about to attack you for accidentally getting ketchup on his feathers >You tell him there's a giant, oil-drinking horsefly that's about to give him a nasty bite on the back of his neck >Terrified, he slaps the back of his neck, hitting the self destruct, and explodes >You'd be fine with that, except that he was only about three feet away and you took a graceful of drone shrapnel
>>79199 >"Anon walks it off because he's built different" >I stop typing and look at Anon Anon, there's no way that he could tank a blast that strong that close. He'd need some surgery and physical therapy at least. >"Nah." >"He built different 💀." How the fuck did you make that sound with your mouth? >Anon just shrugs
Lucy has heard Halloween is still going on in..."Mexico?" Lucy doesn't know what Mexico is Lucy had to watch documentaries on Mexico, like Sicario (1&2) and Breaking Bad, scary stuff! Lucy loves Mexico!
>Pavo is holding a holo-game cartridge in his hands heading his way towards Anon’s office that he knows he’ll like. >This for sure is going to make Anon finally take him on a date! The positions of the starts and the alignment of the planets say so! Today’s the perfect day. >He stops in front of Anon’s office, fidgeting for a moment before opening the door. >Anon looks up from the report he’s been writing. >Pavo holds out the cartridge towards him and opens his “feathers” as a display of mesmerizing lights begin. >”W-W-would you go out…with me…?” Pavo stutters out. >Anon, disappointed, shakes his head and goes back to writing the report.
>Pavo is sobbing as he’s laying his head on Harper’s lap. She’s petting his head and telling him everything is alright. >He goes back to his room and listens to Backstreet Boys to wash out the sadness. >Soon the sadness gets replaced with determination. >Don’t cry! Tomorrow is another day! Don't give up!
>>79203 >Shockwave & holly dati- shockwave needs not pointless actions, he is a being of actual science, holly is nothing more than a brainlet woman shockwave hates women
>>79180 >>79183 >>79198 I didn't know about the AC character either, I just saw the species name and thought it sounded decent, and the fact it's also the name of a constellation won me over t. anon that suggested the name
>>79217 >A random anon is led into a room. >He has a bag over his head, which makes him unable to see anything around him, but he can clearly feel the muzzle of a gun at the back of his head. >The bag is abruptly removed and he squints against the harsh light, but after a couple of seconds his eyes adjust, allowing him to see things around him. >A room with iron walls, high ceilings, a huge panoramic window on the side, a king-sized bed and a woman on it. >Big woman. >VERY big woman. >NAKED very big woman.

>>79259 Hey if you didn't want them to be independent, you shouldn't have made them a soviet republic during the USSR times. Also things aren't looking good for you in Georgia.
>>79261 You forgot to include that throwing men into a bleeding ulcer in your lines purely so you can tell your terminally online backers you're occupying Russian soil isn't sound military strategy.

I find it absolutely fucking hilarious how much JCJenson fucked humanity up >Create cheap robots using unknown mystical powers >Create a shitty way to dispose of them that your execs still ignore >Drone uprising on Copper-9, 1st Drone War >One of your execs' daughter unleashes an improperly disposed drone >Earth destroyed, 2nd Drone War >Try to fix the problem on Copper-9 >Retard intern grabs the wrong hazmat suit and humanity goes extinct
>>79299 you dumb fuck, don’t you know how alternate characters work? >khan doorman loves door >nahk threshold hates door >alice is a psychotic drone >subject 071 (alice’s alternate counterpart) has crippling depression with that in mind, izu purposely left the DD’s in the bunker, while uzi did it on accident
>>79318 >>79319 she looks identical to every other drone, take away their hair and clothes, no one would tell who’s who, except for uzi and emily, both of them have height differences

I don't have the right to dictate to people what to draw, but it kinda rubs me the wrong way when drawfags get into the most asinine of shitflingings and draw doodles for them but won't do requests or drawings to continue pumping life into the small community thread.
>>79330 do we want her to negotiate and stand up to our enemies knowing that there is hours upon hours of footage of her getting her face and ass plastered with gallons of human cum?

>>79354 the punchline is SEX this cute, sweet, 0% sexual drawing just HAS to somehow be about SEX get it guys? because SEX? do you get it? do you get that the joke is SEX?
>>79350 From what we’ve seen from the WDF in the show, I highly doubt they had the guts to try anything when the humans were around.
Uneasy truce could also mean a truce between companies, why would JCJenson make a truce with their own products?
And the mining disaster inside job could’ve very likely had been a human saboteur, possibly sent by a rival company, it makes no mention of a drone being responsible.
Careful not to break your arm with all that reaching you’re doing
>>79375 >From what we’ve seen from the WDF in the show, I highly doubt they had the guts to try anything when the humans were around. Khan's division of the WDF is cowardly and doorcentric. The original WDF from Outpost 9 was probably far less. >Uneasy truce could also mean a truce between companies, why would JCJenson make a truce with their own products? JCJenson is the only company left on Copper 9. The papers from CFL show that they're the sovereign government of the planet. A truce could have been formed while humanity tried fixing the Solver shit. >And the mining disaster inside job could’ve very likely had been a human saboteur, possibly sent by a rival company, it makes no mention of a drone being responsible. Again, JCJenson is possibly the only company left. And there is no other mention of a mine besides the Cabin Fever mine, where the Solver experiments happened. Either humans blamed the lab's disasters on the drones, or the drones assumed one of them was responsible for the disaster that caused the core collapse, promting them to send Khan >Careful not to break your arm with all that reaching you’re doing And careful not to hurt your anus from pulling all those rival companies out of your ass
>>79380 It all comes down to assumption, anon. We can theorize on how things went down, but I’d hold back on making it sound like it was canon and such until we get details.
I realise it's silly to talk about GlitchX 2024 now, but I couldn't help but notice that it seems the only spectators were Murder Drones fans. Where were the TADC fans, or were they too weak under the onslaught of our autism?
Dia de Los Muertos is just about over, so I found another spooky-ish November holiday for Lucy >Andermas Eve in Romanian tradition, the night before Andermas– better known as St. Andrew's Day– is when vampires (and werewolves according to some sources) become most active
>>79398 That's all well and good to find new holidays for Lucy to celebrate, but what happens when more than one is happening at once? Christmas is around the corner, after all, as well as its knockoffs Hanukah and Kwanzaa (which is a fake holiday imo)
>>79390 >Uzi working a side-job as a Nekodrone maid >Uzi's tail 'accidentally' knocking something onto the ground >Uzi bending down pick it up while being seemingly unaware that (You) are watching her >Tail!Cyn giving (You) an Eldritch eyebrow-raise as Uzi's flat & featureless bottom peeks out from her uniform
>While pain isn’t a competition and all that, whining about how much your life sucks to someone who is objectively way worse off may make you come across as an entitled twat.
While I used Hope here because >>74970 requested more Hope content you could probably use most OCs here considering that Beretta generally has a normal (if somewhat boring) life while everyone else got put through the wringer in one way or the other.
>>79401 Christmas is easy. aside from The Nightmare Before Christmas you've got your pick of the demonic Krampus & Perchta, Befana the Christmas witch, and my favorite, Mari Lwyd: the Welsh horse-skulled ghost who you have to beat in rap battle or else it gets to raid your liquor cabinet
>>79414 Definitely. I think one of the Anons also implied that Negev would be able to see all the "escaped data" The Solver had. Which is Definitely Far more than Humans and Drones. She's seeing all kinds of horrific shit
>>79416 >Negev has to try hard to not attract the attention of....those things >The things she seems from the other devoured realms, lest they become interested in her
Story pitch: The final fight where Uzi swallowed the Solver core wasn't as clean as it made out. In fact, Uzi, and every other drone/human ever absorbed by the Solver were each given a chance to inhabit Uzi's body. Uzi only won through a series of friendships she formed in the several subjective years she fought for control. It was, essentially, a battle royale with Uzi being the final survivor.
>>79422 So she's still acts like a ghost in this one, randomly flickering in and out of reality. I guess I assumed you meant by your original post that Hope was doing this >Hope decides to not be erased from existence and pop back directly in front of V >"Hi mommy! It's me your dead daughter that you forgot existed!" >*Insert V screech of horror*
>>79428 Judging from the BTS confirming that was her ghost in the credits, I wouldn't be surprised if the brief appearance of her HUD was from her taking her chance to bail while the other souls in the Solver's possession were being transferred into Uzi.
>>79417 >To make matters even worse, some of these creatures still have the ability to influence the world around them and inflict pain upon others >Negev could hear the screams of agony from within her padded cell, yet could not do anything to about it >She heard the sound of the nightshift Janitor convulsing and contorting violently on the tiled ground, until silence >Footsteps approached her cell door and then the doorslot was quickly slid open >Looking into her cell was not the janitor >It stared at her for a solid 30 seconds before opening it's mouth >"Sorry for the disturbance, Miss Negev. Just making sure eeeverything is spick and span.", it spoke in the Janitors voice, yet still it did not blink >Negev in that moment was trying her hardest to suppress the horror she was feeling in that moment, it felt as if her core was trying to claw it's way out of her chest >"Is there something wrong, Miss Negev? You look as though you've seen something far worse than a ghost.", like a dog the being tilted it's head curiously, it's eyes boring into her soul >Taking a short breath, Negev finally replied >"It-..It's alright, you just startled me was all." >"Ah, I see...well I won't be bothering with you much longer, sweet dreams Miss Negev. Sweet succulent dreams." >With that, the doorslot slide back into position and the creatures footsteps echoed throughout the hall until disappearing entirely >Negev did not infact have sweet dreams that night
I guess everyone is exhausted from Halloween, eh? Don't blame you, I had to actually struggle for a bit to even get on here. Well, I'm feelin eepy again, so....see ya later friends
I remember reading one Anon point out that in episode 3 N suddenly looks really nervous when Doll points out everyone has lost someone to the robo-30 Days of Night vampires. Similarly, episode 2 draws attention to the hole in the roof that never gets brought up again. Wonder how much of those episodes were written before Liam got cold feet at the idea of having to commit to multiple seasons and slipped through the editing cracks when he tried to cram the rest of the core plot into seven episodes. In particular, that first one makes me confident that there was going to be drama where Uzi learned N killed her mom and her commitment to "I only blame whoever sent the vampires here, really they're victims too" gets put to the test.
>>79477 I think we've lost REALLY MUCH content because of Liam's autism. Honestly, I just wish he'd hand over his drafts to Glitch so they could do something about it.
Lucy loves el Dia de Los Muertos! she especially loves eating these "sugar skull" things, though it does mean a few of her Halloween decorations are left headless. oh well, plenty more of those just lying around.
>>79482 Liam Vickers really is George Lucas when you think about it. >Both are incredibly creative >Both are able to make an interesting setting/cast of characters >Both unfortunately have way too much autism and will destroy their own work in the process if left unchecked However, unlike George Lucas, Liam didn't have anyone to tard wrangle him. The original Star Wars films would've bombed hard if George's wife and friends didn't step in and help him fix the original script. And we've all seen what happens when you leave George to his undevices...it doesn't end well
>>79489 I never had a Sugar Skull. I only ever made one in school and we weren't allowed to eat it because some kid fucking licked all of them when they were drying. Do they taste good?
>>79482 It wasn't his autism that did that, it was his inability to commit to long term projects. I bet even just one season he was contractually obligated to finish and couldn't just drop when he lost interest like he did Design and Internecion Cube and Cliffside must have been pure agony. >>79492 Why are you still salty, Mike? You got the Lucas-free, JJ Abrams-helmed Star Wars you wanted. Eat up, piggy.
>>79482 I wish they've got Ghoulinfuschia (the creator of Murder Drones Intermission) to be a writer with Liam being a consultant/idea guy. She seems to be talented.
>>79468 Most Calibern facilities are sunk deep into the ground, there are of course more normal offices, a business entrance, sometimes hospitals or terraforming plants or other normal civilian structures at the surface level, but anywhere that major experiments are done the lab complex is either cut into some sturdy terrain feature like a mesa, mountain or located on a remote island, or sunk into a deep bore straight down into the ground. These kinds of facilities are preferred because they limit traffic in or out, and create an easier environment to contain experiments when something goes wrong.
