>contrary to the never-ending blizzard outside, the metal halls and concrete bunkers of outpost-3 were warm with life >many years had passed since the incident with the solver >drones had gone back to their daily routines, living their lives, having pillbabies >the bunker, depleted through years of disassembly drone attacks, began to fill to bursting with new, mechanical life >this posed problems for some of the bunkers more unorthodox residents >John "the drone" had now, for decades, pretended to be something he was not >swallowing cups of oil, chomping down on nuts and bolts- it was only through sheer will that he had survived >and it was all so very tiresome, the drone-disguised-human's will eroding with every interaction he had with the blossoming residents of the bunker, tempered only by his mortal fear that the reveal of his identity would bring about his end >what sort of life was he living? >one day, the dam had broke, and he had gone to overseer Khan's office to come clean >he had expected banishment, terror, hatred, reprisal, witch hunts, pogroms, execution... >he hadn't expected a party >the drones, it turns out, were quite delighted to have one of their creators among them >and as John sipped an ethanol-based coolant and his inhibitions evaporated, he began to wonder what it was all for >those decades of scrounging and scraping for survival, the humiliations that he had endured in pretending to be a drone- it had really all been for nothing >he took another sip and looked at the banner above the smiling, dancing drones >"Happy Coming Out as Human Day, John!" >the chair beside him squeaked, his nose twitched as a malodorous stench overwhelmed the stench of ethanol in his drink >"Jane." >"John." >the only other living human on the planet and he had nothing to say >had they both given up their humanity during their hiding? >or had she, like John, lost it far earlier? >his musing was interrupted as a young drone took his claw- no, his hand, he reminded himself >"Wow," the little drone girl exclaimed, running her digits over the skin of his fingers as she looked up at him with cyan optics, smiling, before giggling and running back to her parents >the ghost of a smile crept on his lips >maybe humanity wasn't completely gone >he raised his glass to his face, only to find his hand holding nothing >John turned to Jane, seeing her disgusting tongue lapping against the bottom of the upturned glass cup as she slurped every drop of his drink >he sighed, brow furrowing as he pinched it between his claws- FINGERS! His exposed, fleshy, human fingers. >he had no idea what proof that coolant was, but it was no doubt quite high >it wouldn't be long before Jane was passed out drunk and no longer his problem >there was always more drink where that came from, the closest thing to a stable source of food the two had >John's musing stopped as the crowd parted, Khan and his entourage making their way through >Khan extended his hand, which John shook, the drone placing his hands on his hips as he smiled >Nori stayed still on his shoulder, staring daggers >"It's good to have you with us, John," Khan started, giving the human a friendly jab with his elbow, "the human. Drones here really appreciate having a human like you around to deal with their existential dread of being alone in a cold and unforgiving universe," he chuckled, adjusting his red goggles >John nodded, this was the part where he- >"I brought my grandkids!" Khan beamed, grabbing two nearby drones and shuffling them in front of the seated human >since John had revealed himself as human, there was nothing more drones loved to do than show him their families, their children and grandchildren, even a pet rock >some sort of subconscious desire to see the approval of their creators, to hear the reassurance that they were doing what was right >John swallowed the tinge of fear that threatened to send him bolting as a teenaged disassembler gave him an awkward wave and fanged smile, his eyes flickering between John and Jane >the shorter worker drone girl in front of him crossed her arms in front of her hoodie as she rolled her eyes, "Yeah, I already knew." >"B! Ish that you?" Jane slurred from the seat over, "M-my how you'sh've grown." >"I haven't grown since Middle School," Beretta pouted. >Khan laughed, "Aren't they great, I-" the elder drone was interrupted by a buzzing from his pocket >he took his phone in his hand and looked at the screen. >Khan's eyebrow raised, the smile disappearing from his face "I'd stay, but it seems there's someone at the outpost door. Maybe it's another guest for the party?" Khan called over his shoulder as he hurried away.
>>287096 >the doors slammed shut, the crowd returning to their merriment, conversation and laughter once again echoing around the concrete bunker >Mac rubbed his wrists as Beretta huffed and strolled off to visit Jane, suddenly alone >"Mr. John the Human, uh, Sir?" he asked, hefting a basket in front of the human. "This is from us, the Doormans. Negev couldn't come but mom and dad will be here shortly." >John took it in his hands, surprised at the heft of its contents, and lifted the cover >inside were all manner of vegetables: bright-orange carrots with deep, green stems, unblemished red potatoes, juicy celery, and more >John wiped a string of drool from his face. He looked into the eyes of the disassembler above him, "Where did you get all this?" >"Hydroponics Bay 10-D. We grow them as part of the school's 4-H group," the disassembler responded, showing a picture on his display of Mac's parents hugging him as they stand by an enormous pumpkin with a blue ribbon. Mac clasped his hands together with worry, "I-is there something wrong?" >John's eye twitched, "Bay 10-D?" he muttered. "N-no, there's nothing wrong," John spoke, the disassembly drone sighing in relief. "Nothing wrong at all." >how long had John spent wrangling every calorie out of ethanol, scrounging the wastes for preserved food... >boiling the bones of flash-frozen men and women and sucking out their marrow for nutrients >and there was a fully-functional hydroponics bay staffed by members of an agricultural club, growing pumpkins the size of small cars >John suddenly wished he still had his drink, he stared into the optic bulbs of an increasingly nervous drone >Mac laughed nervously, his eyes looking around the room for any drones he knew. "If you ever want more, just let us know," he said, pointing two finger guns at John before making a retreat to the refreshment table where his Aunt V was dipping batteries into oil dip >John sat alone, Jane having drunkenly gotten up to make a nusience of herself somewhere else while Beretta chaperoned her around >the night went on, drones coming to and fro to introduce themselves to John the human >some drone had thankfully provided John with another drink, and another, and soon his decades of built-up concerns had left him >in the first time in decades, John finally let loose >even N and Uzi had arrived and said their hellos and John wasn't squibbed by the solver witch on the spot >"[giggle]," Uzi's tail introduced itself, "are you ready, John?" >John blinked, "Ready for what?" >"The twist, silly," the tail replied, sticking out its tongue. >the door slammed open, yellow lights glaring into the door as the sounds of the party abruptly died >standing in the doorway, papers in hand, was J >her eyes narrowed as she appreciated the banner that hung above the party >clicking a JCJ pen in her hand, she made a slight adjustment to her report >"J!" N cheered, "You're back from space!" >Uzi crossed her arms, "J, you're back from space," she unenthusiastically repeated >J ignored the verbal barbs Uzi sent at her, instead addressing the crowd as she waved her papers above her head, "Everyone, I've just returned form my survey on human life in the galaxy." >John instantly straightened, all drunkenness leaving him as he paid rapt attention >"And between the humans surviving in the Titanium and Osmium systems, plus refugees returning to Sol-" she pointed a finger directly at John, "plus that one guy- I can confidently say the human species is no longer endangered."
>>287084 Nah, but a few of the themes probably are canon. >The drone population will continue to dwindle >The Solver is testing its limits, and it will take over Uzi one day But I don't think GIANT ZOMBIE SENTINEL is canon. Especially not when Cyn could have done something with the mountain of corpses instead, that probably would have been way cooler.
>>287098 >there was silence, then, like a dull roar building in intensity, drones began to whisper and talk amongst themselves >the Doorman household, J, and V all gathered around each other >John let out a breath he had been holding in for decades >the human race was saved- and he had done his part >he gulped down a hefty swig of his ethanol coolant- it was the best thing he'd ever tasted >John rose to his feet, smiling, drunkenness slackening his resolve and washing away his worries >his eyes focused on the Doormans and their disassembly friends >they looked back, eyes wide, claws out, mouths salivating >"But if they're not endangered," Beretta spoke, eyes frantically wide as her fingers stood ready to cast a spell >"That means," Mac continued, sharpening his claws against one another, drool dripping to the floor >"WE CAN EAT THEM AGAIN!" J shouted with a toothy grin, as every disassembly drone and solver witch launched themselves at John >John the human barely had time to scream before he was ripped to shreds, the Doormans and their friends filling their bellies with sweet, delicious human meat >Jane lay forgotten, face down in the punch bowl- she'd be fine >nobody wanted to eat a mutant, after all
>>287100 >humans aren’t endangered >jane isn’t conceded a human >kill john for nothing I pray on all of existence itself, that you get your neck snapped

>>287084 No, but the Absolute Solver's capabilities in it are within the realm of possibility. Maybe it's a timeline Negev briefly makes telepathic contact with? Gotta consider whether I should put it in if I ever do that "Negev gets a peek of the Ruins timeline and chats with a very confused Remmy" green.
>>287116 I find it odd to see how easy it could spread the zombie virus, given how it took time tinkering with the worker drones in episode 5 to become Solver hosts.
>>287115 that thing hasn’t showered since the core collapsed, and the face no less is even worse, the face paint been there for so long it’s permanently on him, like tattoo, for what I’ve heard, ink makes the flesh taste bad, if I where to eat a human, as a what if, it’d be a andes plane crash sort of thing, cook it up, all nice and taste, make them chunks look GOOD, not the face or torso, they deserve to have their faces seen
>>287119 >NTA Unsure. I'd start with the first few greens like these though to get a somewhat introduction on what her deal is. >>287123 Never forget whether the other writefriend considers it ""canon"" or not, that Negev once killed another "lunatic" purely because they ate her mashed potatoes despite the fact Drones don't even need to eat mashed potatoes
>>287051 >Kurt stops hating his own herritage of being an eldritch human/drone hybrid and the reincarnation of a streamer/psycho who twists reality to his own whim. >He accepts himself for what he is which allows his to finally tap into both sources of power. >With the powers to bend matter and reality and the ability to reincarnate himself when he were to die, Kurt is able to peak though the veil of time and space for a short moment. >In that time he sees the hundreds of possibilities IE fanon lore in the MD world. Timelines where he, his sister and mother didn't exist, where the Solver was benevolent, drones didn't exist...the information was endless. >He even breaks the 4th wall for a moment and sees (You) reading this post. >Maybe if he were to control his powers more precisely, he could enter these alternate timelines.
This is honestly how I interpret the Doorman from Deadlock - a being that can bridge time and space and be able to effortlessly travel between them.

>>287185 Fuck that. I'm not gonna use my personal Discord or go through the whole process to register. I just wanna draw. I think I'll just skip this drawpile. Why aren't we using that other drawpile software that doesn't require registration?
>>287084 even if you ignore the fact that Liam had no involvement, it makes no sense for it to be canon. Cyn having the ability to turn drones into literal zombies? sure, maybe before she got put into tail prison. Cyn being able to magically make anything she wants the size of a building at all is retarded, let alone while she's at her weakest. not to mention that the main trio murdered a good chunk of outpost 3's population despite the fact that they could be cured. if glitch states that it's canon, the impact on the universe is strictly negative.
>>287139 Swear to God, I remember Negev's creator trying to kill off Beretta to push his NUzi kid into the spotlight. Soured my opinion on the character ever since. Gives me the impression Negev would commit fratricide just for the attention.
>>287199 Anon that literally never fucking happened because there is no Negev creator, she was an idea a few Anons came together to create. There was one really really fucking abysmally bad take on Negev which had her as a weird war orphan that would've permanently put a stop to the character if I and a few other Anons didn't step in and say that was fucking stupid before making her what she is today.
>>287205 (me) You might be thinking about the shitty war orphan one that was made by the Mac incest guy I'm not joking they claimed to be behind that because I'm just now remembering how genuinely dogshit that idea was further, I think there was some weird Beretta hate in that green? >>287206 Yes and it is a way better idea than whatever the fuck that mess was
>>287209 (me) What actually infuriates me the most is that it had fuck all to do with the concepts that were discussed at the time, it feels like the guy just wanted to write his edgy Shit-fic for some weird "thread popularity" because there was no other explanation to whatever that was except for that
>>287206 >clinically insane Everything she's seeing is real, she's just got more autism than either of her parents >her own mother not caring for her She cares, but it's hard to give care when Negev's first memory is her 99 Insight showing her you're the most horrifying fucking thing in the universe and now she can't stand the sight of you or the sound of your voice. Just had a fucked thought. Remembering that Liam said in an old AMA about how DDs explode after completing their missions which is something we don't have any reason to believe made it into the final show. What if DDs still have an internal clock that rigs them to explode if they haven't completed their objective? Imagine if N was going to explode in 2 weeks because he didn't continue The Solver's work/do any further objectives? Just a thought
>>287233 If I were the Solver I would give every drone a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when they completed a mission. And then have them explode. So the day that N feels accomplished and satisfied he just explodes. V will live forever.

Hypothetically, if there were to be a second season of MD, will it still involve Uzi, N, V, etc. since their stories right now look like they've been finished. Would the second season focus on a new set of characters with some cameos from already introduced characters, like J, or would this be better set as a spin-off show set in the MD universe?

What do you do if a drone walks into your home and starts doing your laundry and cleaning? I did not hire her. I do not know her. She just gave me chicken tenders while I was typing this. I'm deeply afraid.
I'm effectively a newgen who caught the premiere of the show and wasn't that keen on it at first for whatever reason, gave it another shot mid-24 and couldn't really keep myself invested once the prom stuff started (in my defense my life was falling apart at that time). My third viewing of the complete season was about 2 weeks ago and I guess this time it 'clicked' and I think I'm hooked (par for the course with me to get invested in something I've known about for a while only a fucking *year* after the thing is finished). I've enjoyed some of Vickers's other stuff before this, though I've got some occasional distaste for aspects of his writing style/thematic choices. Still, I think the series is a pretty great entry into the current "indie" animation canon as it were.
I'm also a newly-minted N-fag after his character managed to check every single box to qualify for exemption from my typically superstraight orientation. Has this happened to any others here? Do tell. I also like most of the femdrones.
Unimportant introduction aside I was /mostly/ wondering if any of you folks here have messed about much with LLM artificial intelligence in regard to its use as a creative writing asset/editor, or for recreational 'disporting' with the personalities of the characters from the show—whatever you imagine that entails—and if there's any interest in further discussion or collaboration there. I'm not an absolute expert on the technology, but I work with it pretty frequently as an advanced end-user, mostly as a writing aid (I like to think I am pretty good about remaining wary of the pitfalls therein and try not to let it do the writing for me; essentially I consider it a drafting tool and prose ensmoothener) and ofc a smut-producing RP machine. I didn't see a dedicated thread on the topic of text-based AI or really any mention of it while skimming through the tbf massive thread backlog, so I considered creating a dedicated thread before figuring that asking here instead first might be wiser, just to gauge if there's any interest. I know that a fair amount of context modules (character cards/'bots', lorebooks, etc.) based on MD have been made and posted to sites like characterhub already, so maybe some of you had a hand in that or have otherwise tried messing around with it on some level. Most of the 'character instances' that end up on the sites cataloging that sort of data are imo very lackluster, though, usually slapped together or smothered by the influence of terminal goonery—this being true of almost any IP you can name. In the last year alone this sort of tech has made some pretty impressive strides—though it's still far from perfect or turing-complete—and Murder Drones conveniently by now has enough of a cultural impact that most recent remote-API models are readily primed for fairly accurate discussion/recognition/depiction of the overall tone and to a lesser degree lore of the show, even without the aid of supplementary world-info resources (I still very much recommend their use, though). Even fairly low-quality cards are getting new life breathed into them, and the actual potential for real (guided) longform storytelling without constant handholding is starting to look more and more achievable. I am certainly *not* here to step on the toes of the actual dyed-in-the-wool writefags, who of course at the end of the day are the actual producers of true soul.
Also, I'm not sure if namefagging is looked down on here, just from poking around it seems that's the case, though you all still seem to be able to spot one another pretty easily. I'd love to post more here as well beyond just being an AI shill (who is very ready to help elucidate others on utilizing the technology and acknowledge/outline its very real and apparent limits), because I'm an animation fan first, LLM dabbler second, but I can easily see that I'm out of the loop on a LOT of stuff. Even in terms of the canon lore, my knowledge is far from encyclopedic atp, let alone the annals of this branch of the fan community. Aside from the booru here and fandom wikis, are there decent MD synopses/lore/breakdown videos or other resources which aren't complete slop and suitable for a lobotomite like myself, or should I just stick to rewatching episodes & grinding away at the log/wiki? Sorry if I sound a little timid, I spend most of my time in a far smaller and I think more gatekeep-y fandom than this, and as I'm sure you can gather, I'm a habitual chatterbox.
Lastly, let me know if there is still by this point any appetite for human male reader-insert x N (+ others?) fan-fiction, especially longer-form stuff and alt timeline bs (I think someone in a post earlier was calling that sort of thing out as tired by now). I'm assuming AO3 is probably the better launchpad for that sort of thing and here is more for one-off greentext stuff and pitching ideas.
>>287710 I vaguely remember there once being some anons that dabbled in chatbots here, but that was way back during the brief /trash/ period. No clue if they are still around or otherwise still doing that
>>287710 >Use of AI I remember that we dabbled around a bit a long time ago with making chatbots, but I personally never ever used it for my writing. So honestly chatbots are cool. >Namefagging I don't think a majority of Anons really care much about it >Out of loop on Canon lore and OC Honestly for OC I just recommend using the Dronebooru that we have in the OP or just learning from when it's posted/or asking questions. As for the show itself/canon material, I recommend just asking if you're having trouble grasping a concept or rewatching if you'd rather do that. >N x Male Reader I think there should be some on the Dronebooru, but I honestly wouldn't now how to narrowed it down to where it specifies a male reader exactly since most are left up to interpretation.
>>287715 A greentext from August covered just that: >"Ugh. Don't talk to me about the Absolute Solver. Absolute Stupidity more like. That amateur molecule-mover has been responsible for causing more headaches for the continuum than most other low-level reality warpers in the universe. Do you know what she did to the 85th timeline in the 3rd dimension? She tried to consume it as an external observer. Why? It's pointless! She neither gains nor consumes any energy! It's like a primitive human child slobbering over a toy car. Ridiculous. Anyway, I gave your mechanical puppet the joys of a functioning libido. You might want to stop him before he burns out the holodeck, and I just know poor little Barclay will be upset if he finds out about what he did to his 'special' program. Ciao!"
>>287710 Well text based ai comes and goes since theyre so much of them and often times it varies from close to character would act to drastric personality change. Finding log/ lore videos is also a bit difficult since md is mostly show and dont tell so finding things consistent has been a hassel. Also look through the archives and also ao3 for any n x human male stories too
>>287710 To answer your questions in no particular order:
I've personally fucked with AI writing a lot, I wouldn't recommend it. I've been writing for a while and I can tell you its style of writing prose is very juvenile and focused in weird directions. It is, however, excellent for keeping you engaged with work when you get stuck, or summarizing/trimming/editing work as long as you pay attention.
As a writefag no one really pays attention to writefag identities, more so they pay attention to ongoing stories and that becomes your identity. EG: Roadtripanon. Namefagging is typically looked down upon as it is in the threads.
We have many that I would not trust in a room alone with N, you're not alone there. If you want to look at the style of fanfiction - "greens" that are done in these threads, check out the booru (it's linked in the op of this thread) and look up the greentext tag.

>>287724 >>287729 I do, since they make it easy to justify run-on sentences, which is just how I tend to write. I know how to conjure them up on every mobile device I use and have Alt+0151 down to muscle memory. It's been a thing of mine since high school, I swear I don't use AI to smooth my imageboard posts lol, I'm not that far gone.

Great becau…. > “But, I’m sure that isn’t what happened” > Great, now she thinks you’re crock > “Anon please listen, you’ve been isolated for three months, working in a high stress environment and eating bland slop, it’s most likely you’re suffering from a form of psychosis” > No, you’re not insane you’re fine sure maybe your mind plays tricks on you but you’re fine > “You’ve been jumping at shadows keeping lights on and running away from places that you can light up” > You’re not insane! > “Anon, Anon please, I don’t think you’re insane at least fully, if you were you’d already be extracted and sent to a hospital” > Then what does she want? > “To keep you healthy in body and mind and you are currently mentally unwell, please Anon I just want to help” > She’s calm, her tone… warm, caring > You wrestle with your thoughts > You’re sure something was moving around the disposal room > You think you may have been chased > You were alone in the airlock once you fell down > Ivory reaches for your hand > You recoil and she pulls away a bit > She hesitates > You look into her screen > You were alone in the reactor? > She smiles and reaches for your hand again, this time placing her hand on yours > “Yes”

I hope they don't ban MD threads altogether. Yeah, sure, they were full of drama, but I still think it's good to have threads on /co/ too. I hope they let us create threads at least once a week.
>>287866 You mean adjust right? I was there when we first got banned from /co/ and really didn't want to stick to the hellhole that id /trash/. I remember the falseflags against both us and the Hazbinfags. I remember the great Oogi war and falseflag.

>>287725 Can I ask what sort of resources/frontends/models you used when working with AI for your writing when you did? I'm not gonna counter with "erm well have you tried X model/service", I'm just curious to know. Around here I figured use would mostly consist of (E)RP and use as an editing/beta-reading agent like >>287732 mentions. A lot of company-native frontends & models (like for example those the main chatGPT site points to) are configured a touch differently than their base versions and this can affect output a little. It's also unusual for me to hear that it might add em dashes if you specifically told it just to "spell check". Did you say 'proofread'? Anyway to the first Anon, like I mentioned, you don't need to tell me about the limits/challenges AI currently faces, though I'm a little confused at what you might mean by 'juvenile'. Most issues I face when drafting deal with repetition of phrases and descriptive elements, mode collapse and cliche-defaulting ('ensloppification'), and to a lesser extent these days, hallucination. Maybe by juvenile you just mean its prone to these sorts of amateurish tendencies. I certainly understand what you mean by it wanting to work in certain directions, though, especially the tendency to interpret characters in very current-psychology-zeitgeist ways.
>>287820 Well, this is reassuring. I've also got a very WIP N card, though it's mostly AI-composed atm and subject to I think a good deal of editing yet before it's "ready" for anything too serious, mostly for the reasons I mentioned above. Doesn't even have any example dialogues right now, but if I'm honest I think that helps it out by saving it from being a little *too* Vickers-esque in terms of dialogue. Lets N's character breathe some, be a little nuanced, not /constantly/ awkward-quipping, though my current promptlist might be helping with that as well. It's touchy, we'll see. I could share it once I'm a little more confident in its usability. What models do you typically prefer to use if I may ask? Are you comfortable sharing your card as it is?

Vizzy as an actual relationship would emotionally ruin both: >V would inevitably become paranoid about Lizzy throwing her under the bus for another sexy monster who could kill her instantly, because if she was able to rat her best friend (and possibly more?) out to the murderer of said best friends' parents fucking aforementioned parent murderer over wouldn't be nearly as hard a decision >Lizzy would force herself to keep things going out of pity for V the mindbroken corrupted bimbofied rape victim and fear for what would happen to V emotionally without her... while trying to convince V that she's not doing it for that reason, because she has no interest in finding out how V would react to knowing she's an object of pity Toxic yuri, and not even in a fun way. Maybe it's not just funny and a logical outcome. Maybe being a spinster "dingo mom" is unironically a Good End for V.

>>287915 I don't like Vizzy because I believe V works better as a tragic character that fucked up her only chances at happiness and the only way her story can have a good ending is if she's put down like a rabid dog
>>287919 killing off a character because you don't know how to develop her is bad writing. she doesn't have to reach a good ending, but saying you can't even be bothered to let her try is lazy.
>>287929 >Emily gets fed up with being a ghost >possesses V >she doesn't have complete control but slowly influences V to be more and more of a good christian girl
>>287935 Speaking about my greens personally, N killed Rebecca's (robo-)biological parents, her foster parents would probably have been something like >>287937 said, and Emily's parents I touched on in my Christmas 2024 Negev green.
>>287935 I swear we had one of these. One where Mac was Negev's designated wrangler and the two were going through a memorial garden or graveyard or something. Am I crazy? Like Heath Ledger's The Joker?
Isolated this part from the Drawpile cause I want to lore dump a little. (special thanks to Nuke for drawing the cute frowny-patched storm runner on the right)
>The Storm In the post-solver era, drone society has been forced to adapt to an increasingly hostile outside world, as opportunistic eldritch entities descend upon the newly formed power vacuum created by Uzi's usurpation of the Solver's primary host. Among these entities is a ephemeral storm god, repeatedly manifesting and dispersing as its nature as a living weather phenomenon entails. The name of this entity is unknown, as all attempts at communion with it have failed, implying that it is either sub-sapient or beyond seeing mortal beings as worthy of conversation. Thusly, most drones know of it as just "the Storm," or "Fujita" (after the Fujita tornado intensity scale) as a nickname. The Storm's arrival to this plane has no doubt been assisted by the unstable climate created as a result of Rhea & the Lifevine's ongoing terraformation of Copper-9, the thawing of the oceans being a major factor. It is expected that manifestations of the Storm will become more severe as the terraformation process continues.
>Storm Runners Research into the Storm has resulted in the discovery of the "Tempest Glass," a crystalline material found to grow from the precipitation of the Storm. This glass has been found to have properties useful in a number of technological fields, mainly in the construction of new circuit boards for drones. It also has the notable quality of completely neutralizing the harmful effects that UV Light has on Disassembly Drones, allowing them to glimpse the sun themselves after so many years. There is, however, a catch. And it lies in the acquisition of the material itself. Raw, untreated tempest glass rapidly evaporates once the Storm passes. This means that the glass must be harvested on-site, exposed to the torrential rainfall and screaming tornadoes that the Storm brings. Enter the Storm Runners, an occupation born to brave the harsh conditions of the Storm and collect the bounty within. These drones are sent in groups and are fitted with internal communicators so that they may speak and coordinate to one another without being muffled by the deafening winds. Teamwork is paramount amongst storm runners. Being left alone is a death sentence, as not only are you vulnerable to the elements, but also to the more exotic phenomena within the Storm. Many storm runner fatalities are the result of sudden unexpected variables, such as the manifestation of predatorial pseudo-sapient wind patterns (see "What the fuck is even that.") More research is required to understand and identify the possible warning signs of these phenomena.
>>287953 >storm chaser drones HELLYEAH!!!! I always freaking loved meteorology ever since I was a little kid, I remember watching hurricane and tornado videos on my laptop all the time and reading books about em too.
>>287965 In my greens, at least? >Beretta >Mac (a few minutes later, and his fraternal twin sister will never let him forget she's the older one) >Negev (a year and a half to three years later; happened while Beretta was still a pillbaby, bunch of weird eldritch meat biomechanical fetus in fetu shit thwt resulted in a weird slug-worm that went on a brief matter collection mode frenzy before Digivolving into a regular Solver drone headcrab core)
>>287906 Made picrel while I was taking a break from MD. For context, I was a vox bartender one round and Security decided to just murder Pun Pun, the bartender's monkey, in the middle of the bar.
>>287874 The /co/ mods are niggerfaggots, they don't have any actual reason to ban drone threads. Other threads on /co/ are as bad or worse when it comes to dramafaggotry, off-topic conversations about twitter drama or politics or other retarded shit. There's at least two other threads running on /co/ right this second which are explicitly named GENERALS and they aren't being banned. Just gotta face facts that the /co/ mods are retards and one or more of them just has it out for Murder Drones, if mommy doesn't bring him third lunch on time he just gets irate, stomps his diabetic feet and deletes a thread he dislikes for no actual reason. The /co/bros just have to put up with it since hiroshimoot, that watermellon salesman, will never punish his mods for abuse or actually enforce some kind of standard on his team. He doesn't give a shit as long as the click revenue flows.
>>287962 I will not let you shag the tornado demon and I don't want MORE people to get the idea that they could shag it.
>>287966 Yeah, their cloaks are weighted like a blanket. Drones are already pretty heavy though, so they don't need bricks of lead in their pockets or anything.
>>287836 >>287836 >>287843 Oh shit, was there some janny bs or was it OP? Threads immediately linked after another shouldn't be trusted anyways, people said that for a long time
>>287710 If you have any lore questions, ask them About LLMs, I use ChatGPT to have it write lewd things with drones for me and it got really good but is currently having a prudish phase again, since you mentioned smut-producing RP machine, can you give some other platforms that work?
>>287633 >>287870 >Cute? in retrospect, its weird. but in comparisons to other incidents (Pavos' post-NNN special) it can still be cute. Your just helping your dumbfuck fridge friend who inhaled a wrapper.
Unsure how far i wanna go with these little fridge drones greens im not the anon who made the original concept, just the one that drew the latest one, tho im still curious what his plans are
Might work the designs a bit more tomorrow and rough draft the full sized fridge drones (still small, dd shaped but roughly WD height, far less dumb and gives far more concerning vibes)
so far im happy with the design (added the tail this time), but lemme know if you got any better idea for how the minifridges should look.
>>287996 >AVRE Lucy pretend to be a sniper glint as AVRE does errands around town It works, but Lucy barely escaped the whole floor she was sitting on getting leveled as the sentinels flight or flight chose FIGHT >Salonanon Fear is too mundane to get an entertaining scare + immedate proxy to AVRE makes it not worth the effort >Forc (Fridgedrone) Too dumb to get scared
>>288009 Not quite: it cant quite "unhinge" the jaw, but there's a expansion joint in there that let stretch a bit further then a standard drone mouth, also allows the back of the 'Jaw' to move slightly forward to not block anything in the throat. lowers their bite force a bit but means their mouth is nolonger the limmiting factor for their storage.
