Throwing my hat in the ring for a Negev design, straight-jacket not really included. Went with the crazy stuff I've been seeing. Modify as you see fit, proper clothing is definitely on the table. Personal notes:

>couldn't decide on black or purple hair, made it look like she dyed a purple wig partially black. Ended up being a palette that if mixed is almost exactly the opposite of Beretta's color

Self-insert shit is mostly indulgent and cares not (usually) for in-character interactions. Usually nothing more than quick material for a chuckle or fap.
However, if it's OC/shit made up on the spot then it's less egregious, but can be tiring if subject to saturation. The better works (in my opinion) construct their own sub-settings, characters and stories within the MD universe where human involvement makes sense under certain circumstances.
E.g. Solver War, Oslo-2 with Dr Holly and SD-K, Henry and SD-MG.
That said stuff like Elf, The Archiver and the Labour Bots have their place too. Personally I like the separate one-offs where it's from a drone's pov, like Assembling a Disassembler or the WD Retaliation greentexts.

I think if you treat Anon as a distinct character much like a certain /v/ parody game did, you can make it work to much greater effect as a self-insert.
