Hello once again, Friends, it's me. Here with another thread for the lovely show that is Murder Drones. You know the drill, let's talk about MD, MD Threads, DDs, WDs, Humans, SDs, Solver, Solver Wars, etc. I don't think I need to mention every single topic. Let's talk! And have a nice day. The magnificent Booru: https://dronebooru.co
>>24344 Post predictions for episode 8 >Protagonist victory The hints of Uzi being able to resist/block the Solver allow her to find a way to block Solver regeneration. Destroying Cynwalker (that's why the railgun is back) and preventing her from regenerating effectively locks the AS out of our universe since all other hosts are dead >Antagonist victory The series ends with the AS ominously declaring that the protagonists aren't dead, "we have backups" and all the horrible things that implies
>>24353 >the protagonists manage to defeat the cynwalker, leaving Uzi as the only viable, non-limited solver host available >N has to kill mercy kill Uzi to save the universe
>>24354 I love you too Friend. That is a good question, V canonically is shorter than me, but to be honest I wouldn't mind her being taller, as long as I can hug her.
>>24376 Less that he's a weeaboo and more that he's gone through most of the outpost's media collection, which is mostly anime. >>24377 Oh fuck, I'm too old. I have to get out of here.
>>24382 >They're shitty plastic wings (you) taped on to her back. >The 'ascension' was nothing more than a rope pulley and a cheap flashlight. >You just wanted to get her outta there so you could bathe the silly creature.
>>24386 >She wiggles and "ahhhh"s disappointinggly at you. >"Fine you little sausage." >Plop her on her bed. >Fuck off to the shed for an hour. >Come back with a pair of super-awesome mecha wings (fully-functional) >"Here? That better?" >Affixed to her body, she "ooohs" in contentment and awe. >Before slowly beating the appendages. Gradually, she gains lift and desperately tries to hover in the air. >After a few seconds, her new wings manage a steady rhythm. >Now the Oogies are truly in awe as they see their beloved Bugretta float with unearthly grace. >Up and down and through the air. A true evolution of the Bugretta is at hand. >All is well until she splats against the window, face first. >Dumb bitch slides painfully down the glass, trailing honey as she goes. >Oogies erupt with confusion and panic. >Fuck sake. You just had that cleaned.
>Beretta's saliva is honey >She mistakenly believes you to be a good kisser, and not that her mouth tastes good >It's easier and less weird to make out with her than try to convince her to spit on your toast
>>24396 >see uugi >she challenges me to a game of duel monsters >realize that uugi is pronounced yu-gi >I get sent to the shadow realm after losing a children's card game to a tiny drone
Almost there about the LL, I have a design for her and idea/plan, but 99% will be done only on Monday, need to get few more Alice ready for her anniversary
>>24420 Friend, you are doing a good work! Besides the colors being very good and well done, I think you dud an excellent work in the oil stains, the blackness is heavy because of, well, oil is like that, only with a few places that looks lighter. As always, the face is well done, conveying a lot of craziness. >spoiler Don't worry about that, take your time!
so funny thing, the guy I banned last thread kept coming back for hours and hours using VPNs on his Mac after his iphone got banned. I apologize to any T-Mobile USA phone users who accidentally got caught in the same ban.
>>24415 (me) >She finally arrives at the door as you go and place the box on your desk. >She springs to life once you’ve activated her from the little stand she was placed on >”Salutations, friend! I’m Tin-E, your new 5 inch tall pal! I may not be as tall or capable as the E I was based off of, but I hope we can get along well!” >She sprouts her little wings and flies into your palms. >”May I get your name? It’s a little silly to keep callin’ ya “friend” all the time, ehehe. Or you prefer it that way! All’s well too!”
>>24428 >"You don't have to run! I'll only cut your leg off piece by piece!"
>Perhaps you should have tried the flower bouquet. >Unfortunately JCJ(IS) doesn't do deliveries to this planet anymore. Or anywhere else for that matter.
>You really hate snow. >And drones. >And toxic atmosphere.
>But who cares? You're about to die anyway. >*SCHNIK*

>>24430 >guy complains that these threads are worse then /co/ >keeps coming back despite being banned several times
i swear if this guy is somehow related to that one schizo who thinks everyone is samefagging, you midve isolated the biggest disruption to these threads.
>>24430 I mean. Wow, that's kind of sad of him. Makes me wonder why he's that obsessed with these threads, we're just here wanting to talk about a funny robot show and make silly stuff. Especially now that we're one week off from the final episode. Thanks for everything you do though.
On that note, Glitch posted that pic of N fighting some beam tentacles from it seems to be in space. I'm thinking there could be a sequence of him going back up to the surface, maybe after Lizzy and Thad are done fighting J, whatever the outcome may be (she looks actually serious though and a good departure from pilot J). He might notice that Uzi is falling down from space and flies up to rescue her but then Cyn from below summons those light tendrils to stop him. Makes me wonder what Uzi's role will be since the Solver seems determined to not have her be able to interfere. I just hope Core Nori is still around. It'd kinda suck if Khan had to lose her twice but if they could still meet, that'd be bittersweet enough for me.
>>24444 >Breaking News: >Florida Man ingests "Solver Lean" party drug, goes on 36 hour intoxicated rampage, beats eldritch deity to death inside its own pocket dimension >Suspect was heard repeatedly shouting "Bitch stole my lighter and ate my waifu!" >More at eleven
>>24452 The use of the energy tendrils both at the beginning of the trailer and in screencaps is interesting to me. We've seen plenty of regular tendrils and claws from the AS thus far, but no weird ethereal shit, and the promo content thus far has only shown plain old Cynwalker. I think we're going to aee some super saiyan shit in the finale.
>>24461 I have other things that I won't do until the finale. >Don't bother me! I'm about to BITE MY LUNCHABLES >>24462 >Anon was promptly arrested by the IPD for eldritch homicide and drug possession/use. >He was *not* afforded bail and was sentenced to 2 million years in the Strychnine Dimensional Correction Facility.
>>24464 Probably. There was a shot of Uzi using her tail to grab hold of the railgun (maybe realizing she should tone down her use of Solver powers, and the since the tail is already part of her physical make up, it's less risk), so I'm thinking the fight between Lizzy/Thad and J went off the rails somehow and Uzi grabs hold of the new one her dad made. Unless Khan made more than one. The reddish scene where Cynwalker's lunging toward Uzi also reminds me of the Cyn pic Liam made of her standing in the red ocean. Also music drop from AJ. Hngh, I need that Solver Uzi remix I barely heard in ep 7 when the two confronted J.
>>24459 I’m just glad the autists are battling over there in containment and not shitting up this thread. I have never seen one guy get so angry over people discussing Cyn before
>>24452 (me) 'nother thought crossed my mind. I'm a little concerned that the hologram Khan Eldritch J 'killed' (as a way to mentally disarm Uzi) in episode 2 might be a hint to his eventual fate. We have a bunch of characters showing up to the last episode, I think character death/deaths is very likely.
>>24479 E-anon, by this point you should have realized that these threads are positively infested with monsterfuckers for whom more eldritch and terrifying=more sexy
>>24484 I meant whether the keys are actually needed for the thing to fly, or that was part of the Solver's pretend normalcy/a misdirect for the audience.
>24479 (me) Oh right, some tidbits >It should be stated that standard weapons to fight Abyss are pointless, as any strikes or bullets will have the Monstrosity reform rapidly. >The only major way of ending them for good is to light the puddles they inhabit on fire while they’re risen from it, as well as just any puddle you see so they don’t ambush you. >Bonus points if you’re able to get the drop on them and fire an ignited projectile straight into their form, picture it like the Night Feeder’s death from Primal (picrel)
>>24492 This may be autism, but not of the good kind that contributes anything to the discussion, fanart, writing or anything. I'm a bit appalled and embarrassed for him. Sorry we seem to have attracted some real weird doofus.
>>24501 The filter abilities I had to create for dealing with cp spam makes it completely trivial to handle this. It's inevitable for people like this to appear with the site growing, so no worries.
>>24502 Learn how IP addresses (without VPNs or proxies or anything of that sort) work. It's like being on a mailing list for something, and being upset they know your physical address.
>>24492 Imagine the finite time you have on this earth being so worthless that it seems like a good idea to try to force your way into a place you proclaim to be beneath you to be surrounded by people who don't want you there.
>>23787 done with this. kinda funny, when i looked for some of the dead disassembly drones in episode 6, i think most of them had no clothes on. might be some i missed. they had somewhat distinct wigs, but a lot of them are hard to see.
>>24512 It's not MD fans, it an schizo who was in a fandom, that's all, don't blame the place, blame the individual And I think he didn't want to ban someone he didn't liked so that maybe added to it, now let's stop talking about this
>>24494 She still refers to "Tessa" as boss and corroborates her story about "Cyn disappearing on Earth" and how their mission is to "burn the labs down [if Cyn wants whatever is in them]". J still fully believes that she is her badass childhood friend's sidekick and they're on a mission to save the galaxy. Because that's funny to the Solver.
>>24515 This is some nice artwork but it's sad as Hell to think about the sheer number of average joes who all had their own little flavor of "oh god what the fuck am I what the fuck is going on my entire existence is a lie and the truth is even worse" moments because of Solver fuckery.
>>24519 But what if that's just an act on the part of J? Even lines like "effective drones were cloned more [by the Solver]" are suspicious. When Episode 6 came out, there were also people unironically quoting Tessa the Human as speaking facts. And we saw in the manor that J still referred to Tessa's parents as "corporate" even though they thought nothing of her, indicating that the terminology has nothing to do with actual relationships.
>>24520 >>24519 (me) Actually thinking about it again, J doesn't just corroborate "Tessa"'s story, she interjects mid-story with "factual" information embarrassing to "Tessa" that she then tries to cover her own ass over >"The Boss ran away-" >"WE MUTUALLY DISENGAGED" So J's probably got a full set of false memories of fighting alongside her wingwoman on Earth followed by a daring escape to fight another day, maybe even with a backstory leading up to that. She got the fucking Total Recall treatment.
>>24521 i remember the green that this was made in response to also the original is L smashing B and H plushies together also also, i love that face. sly marbo levels of AAAAAA
>>24526 Yeah but J has always referred to Tessa as "Boss", it was shown in E5 that she just talks like that/views the world through that lens for some reason. I don't recall that many people actually taking "Tessa The Human" at face value; there was talk of how the way she acted came off like the Solverpede's god-awful attempts at deception in E2.
>>24534 >I don't recall that many people actually taking "Tessa The Human" at face value; there was talk of how the way she acted came off like the Solverpede's god-awful attempts at deception in E2. The wider fandom outside of anonymous imageboard threads did. They also claim there was no foreshadowing and Cynwalker is bad shock value writing.
>>24533 >filename I was about to go to sleep but I wanted to give a quick look, this feels so amazing! I like to see V my beloved, she is so amazing and cute! Incredible work, this is well made!
>>24553 NTA but that seems like it could be troublesome. Most of the dead DD's in that scene were basically just limbs heaped around an oilstain. The ones with distinctive enough hair to be recognized as unique from the rest were limited.
>>24551 (me) >>24533 Even if I was bamboozled, and I'm pretty sure I was not, since I can't remember seeing that drawing before, this is still a great work! Sorry for such a short text, I'm pretty tired and I'm fighting to say awake, here is around 2 in the morning and I had a long day. The pose is well made, feels somewhat relaxed but on alert, an dit has some sense since she has an X eye meaning that she is probably alert, having her tail ready. I like the, I don't know what to call them, pikes? In her arms, makes me remember of her beta design, also, I like the style, it's just very unique. >>24544 Good work Friend, and it's good, don't be so hard on yourself, I think her body is well drawn, and to my untrained eye it looks anatomy correct [spoiler]maybe except her right arm but maybe it's because I'm falling sleep[/spoile] very gruesome, I think it's the word? Like IC to be honest, nice work as always. There ar enot many times where you see too much emotion on her face being shown.
>>24557 Wouldn't it just be self? I thought that part of U-U's loose lore was about how Cyn/Solver split the one drone consciousness between two bodies for shits & giggles
>>24557 >>24558 >>24559 iirc U-U being split into two bodies was purely a screwup on the Solver's part. Like something just went wrong in replicating a DD from the backup and a single mind ended up being split between 2 bodies.
>>24560 It's even more fucked up when you really think about it >U-U is normally depicted as being able to sense or 'feel' what's happening to one another >They don't appear to be capable of anything resembling direct mind reading or telepathy
>>24515 seeing Cynwalker's claws/scythe having hazard stripes kinda pushed me to color this in a little bit more. i also kinda like that those hazard stripes on her extra limbs were a bit melty and messy. >>24553 to my knowledge, most of them are hard to see. so nah. she's a teensy bit more prominent given a DD with her wig is a bit more visible, and she was in episode 5 as well as in 5's teaser from a different angle >>24554 yeah. some had kind of distinct wigs but most are hard to pick out >>24562 have a good rest
>>24555 No bamboozlin' to be had, man. Almost certain I dropped a WIP of this however many threads ago to some anticipation. It just felt right delivering on it here once it was rescued from the To-Do-One-Day pile.
>>24565 Excellent iteration, man. The stark, selective color choice's one of my favorite things about your work.
>>24544 It's good, man. Good enough to share and show here.
>>24561 I like this guy's models, though sometimes I think they're a little distractingly shiny/reflective. Also reminds me that the three bladed claws all have a ball-and-socket joint at the knuckle so that's why the claw can rotate individually, in place. First time I watched episode 6, it went over my head how V was able to catch the bullet. Had to re-watch in slow-mo before seeing it and it was neat. It's a nice callback to what he did with Cordie and the general idea of projectile re-direction, but even on its own it was a nice little little spectacle of action.
thinking about picking up on this before 8 comes out, i know a good number of oc have been created in the last few months but it would be great if you could all give me some pointers
>>24593 Can't say about other people's, but regarding mine that aren't there and/or were made after the move to plus/trash: >GF >Megumi >Sonya >84/Rachel >C/Carmen >Nils >Laki >El >Piika Look'em all up on the booru.
>>24430 Do mobilefags appear like they're using a VPN?
>>24390 They are supposed to be drone hands but between the constraints of the skeleton and my skill level I couldn't recreate all the very nice details of the official design. I placed the centers of the ball joints on the bones' tips but it looks wrong. There's no way I'm getting anything finished before the finale.
>>24593 well here’s mine :] >Izz >character in my domestic AU where drones live alongside humans as servants or companions >rescued an N who was starving, cold and alone on the streets after being trashed alive because of his defect (permalocked in “Safe Mode” aka can’t generate weapons) >took him home to her shabby house (she’s not well-off) in the cozy small town she lives in, now he’s her companion for life and they take care of each other >is anxious, neurotic, and probably has OCD, obsessed with animal crossing, warm and sentimental, and most of all, loves her N to death
Belated Bastille Day/Paris Olympics maid Alice, featuring homages to the famed paintings "Les Drapeaux" and "Liberty Leading the People". Besides the 'Revolution' theme, one could read into the broom and flaming Molotov a witch-hunting reference.
Image:172389505833.png(1,015kB, 2000x2000)Maid Alice Sliding.png
Elliot manor version maid Alice sliding down a bannister. Alice really does have so much potential for total conversions. They're fun to prototype and implement.
>>24603 Interesting piece of art Friend, I don't have too much to say besides that this is well made, the fire on the Molotov looks nice, the position of her feet and how bended her legs are looks well made, the ripped clothes look good, just a good piece overall. >>24604 I think it's nice you change some things on her antlers to items that a maid would use, and her tail too, and it's understandable why she is sliding down seeing her face, although some kind of fear she seems to enjoy.slidong down. >>24605 That doesn't look very nice Friend, I do not know how N can smile while being nailed down to a wall, or when he was being operated on, but good work, seems on character. >>24606 Thats looks like a nice little date, but Doll looks angry and N looks really scared for sole reason, I feel like there is some high levels of tension going on. It's well made too, I like how you made the hair in all. Sorry if I'm not good at pointing out stuff I liked, I have woken up not too long ago and my brain is still somewhat asleep Friend.
>>24603 >>24604 >>24605 >>24606 Banger arts. Love to see it, especially that sliding maid Alice. Replacing the knife tail with a duster is a clever little touch. Keep it up anon
So for anyone who Foolishly went to /co/, asked a question then got completey derailed by trolls. Do you still have a question? It will probably be actually answered here
>>24684 >She really really hates humans. >Seriously, she won't shut up about "Stupid fleshies" when anything vaguely reminds her of them. >Even Uzi with her "Destroy all humans" kick gets sick of hearing about it.
>>24718 This is just a prediction but >Half the people who got into Murder Drones did so because they werenalready fans of Liam Vickers other shit >Vickers has now made a "real" show with a production company, that did good numbers and sold merch, he has his in the door of the industry and will get new opporunities to make other shows Yeah, people will stick around. Activity levels will elwax and wane, people will take long breaks, but they'll come back when the next relevant thing comes down the pipeline, and someday this won't be /md/ anymore it will be /lv/ or something with a broader scope
>>24721 Probably a good idea. I'm sure Liam will make something new once he moves on from MD. Plus his earlier works are fun to talk about in their own way, even if there's not much to go off of. >>24723 Oh, no I was just using that as a figure of speech to say "I really like his art". Everything is on-model but still has a unique style to it. I don't think he actually has a real writefag name (I could be mistaken of course, I'm not in these threads all the time) but that's fine.
>>24697 >Harper sees that you are sad >She sits next to you >"What's wrong, dear?" >You blogpost at her >It isn't something that she can do something about >She thinks for a bit while you mope some more >She slaps her knees and gets up while letting out air from her mouth >"Pffffsh. Get up." >You start to question her but she will have none of it. As soon as you start to say "huh" she takes you by the wrists and pulls you up >"Watch this." >Harper makes a dance move >She smiles, partly due to embarassment >"Woo, old girl has moves. Now you try." >You just stay still and continue to be sad and depressed >If she were young, Harper would pout >"Pleeease?" >You give it a half hearted attempt for Harper's sake (or to get her to go away) >It sucks >"That was...a start. Try again." >You try again >It sucks >Harper shows you the move again >You try yet again and it sucks yet again >Harper shows you another, easier move >You suck >This time she pouts >"He is sabotaging himself!" she thinks to herself angrily >The tall drone enters your personal space >This is less startling than her hand going around your back and pushing you against her while her other hand takes yours >Harper starts moving around while counting steps >"One two three four, one two three four!" >You're moving whether you like it or not >Her peg feet knock loudly against the floor and you look down frantically to make sure they don't land on yours >"One two three four, one two three four!" >The mechanical dancing goes on for a while and you start to learn the steps out of necessity >This goes on for a while until the old girl starts feeling it in her old girl joints >Harper lets go of you >"That will be it for today. I'll teach you more another time." >With that, she leaves >Her plan was to take your mind off of things by teaching you a new skill >But to hell with good intentions for now. She needs lube for her aching joints
>>24739 Now that Liam's proven that he can do business with a long-form narrative and decidedly non-all ages audience he might be able to bring Cliffside back as something a little less kid-friendly
>>24751 For awhile pocketsteaks didn’t have a name or tittle until people started posting his Twitter That doesn’t mean anything I just find that interesting I will make this drawfag treeanon for no reason in particular
>>24751 Nah we got a couple of others. Uploading stuff to the booru i find myself thinking "I recognize this artstyle but I don't know if the artist has a name" before tagging it as artist_request at least once a day
>>24761 >practice Vicker girls smile >doesn’t post a Vicker girl smile The smile is disturbing but not in the same way a Vicker girl does when she smiles at you, I’m not sure what to feel looking at this Jane. Anyways do better
>>24759 IIRC they've previously stated a preference for using 'anonymous_artist' One alternative I can think of is the creation of a pool/collection titled with whatever name you fancy the most
> “Also I was there with you, so don’t claim that you had definitely planned that from the very beginning in a ploy so cunning it would make Sun Tzu jealous.”
*Note: Rockslide is not to scale. Do you have any any idea how much of a pain making, placing, and layering EVEN MORE boulders would be?
>>24742 My favorite is probably the artist who made these and doesn’t have a name/title apparently.>>24759 Their art is very well drawn and often pretty funny.
Image:172392619449.png(1.23MB, 1600x1237)Deepfried Bury the Light playing in the background (2).png
>>24718 I am absolutely sticking around after next week, there are still things I want to introduce/build upon on previously stuff. Plus, I'm sure whatever Liam's next endeavor will be it's going to be discussed here as well. >>24776 Canon.
>>24788 haha.... what are you talking about.... pocketsteaks is just a good artist its not like he sent his personal oogis to hold me up at gunpoint as i type this out...haha....
>>24784 my 3 theory for "plushanon" and why they wanna remain anon:
>Someone in some sort of design job that dosent want to be possibly linked to drawing drone gash on 4ch
>Someone well familiar with the ramifications of ending up with a dedicated name on image forms like these, and would rather keep anon to just not deal with the consequences
>>24795 I don’t like the idea that at any time this drawfag could send the Oogi gang to break my kneecaps and steal my cheese. Call his art gay and I never see my kids again.
I'd rather the arts keep coming than put a name on the artists. Especially if it would jeopardize people. Unless they're cunts in which case it'll do me no good to know their names.
>>24792 I would think the second option is the most likely. In fact even if the other two were true I think that one would still be true. While most people here can contain their autism enough to not be annoying, that's definitely not the case on /co/.
