Popeye has been alright but Mao Mao's underdog story has been awesome. Hank has one of the more active campaigners here, but I think it's best to save his victory for Mr. and Superman is imo more fitting for the finale

I had a variety of mains early in the tourney but only Tintin and Shou got somewhat far. Shou of course is a dark horse. What did you think of him? I was kind of burdened by IRL the entire time, but I tries to sharpen myself a little as we went on.

Shou Fu Kan deserved to get as far as he did and I would have been fine with him winning this all. I kind of wish we got to have a rematch after last tournament, but that would have required my main making it to finals which wasn't going to happen. You once again put in an amazing effort like you did with Torres. I also can't get the lyrics "The Land is cloaked in the deepest blue" out of my head.

I deny any and all such accusations. I am not Superman. The thought is ridiculous.

I'll be missing that drifter, it felt good having to share a beer and a grill with a new neighbor. Yup, looks like I'm in the Final Four again. Let's see who I'm up against.... gotdangit, it had to be the guy that beat me to the Elite Eight in 2018. Well, if I had the courage to face the dog, I have the courage to face Superman too. It's time to show him that I'm no ordinary person, but a Texan.

Well I had Knatterton and Snufkin/Moomin, the former which is an untranslated German cartoon from the early 80s. I was gonna make do something in the spirit of the show and parody every contestant into some detective case that Knatterton garystus into resolving.
Moomin is a more comfy kind of ordeal, so my view was that I'd have them journey through the tournament like Shou but they'd be a bit more fun loving.
I had more stuff I was floating buy either I barely remember it or they never passed qualifiers.

At first it has a very straightforward story, with nice music, VAs and directing, but eventually it derails hard. It's incredibly good on rewatches too since they don't reveal "secrets of the plot" so readily. Probably one of the best shows I've watched.

You like Heroes of /co/?
The early rounds were filled with too many literal whos for my taste, but when round 3 hit, I think it really came into its own, campaign and popularity-wise.
The whole round had clear, crisp matches, and a new sheen of quality campaigns that really gave the round a big boost.
It's been compared to Mr. /co/lympus, but I think Heroes of /co/ has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
In '23, Heroes of /co/ had this: the quarterfinals, the most accomplished round. I think the undisputed best match is Daredevil vs. Superman, a match so good, most people probably won't pay attention to the posts, but they should, because it's not just about having to live a double life and the importance of heroism, it's also a personal statement about the tournament itself!

Here were my entire mains; almost half of them made it to the tournament.

I'm currently planning to re-use them for future tournament.

>Rigby and Mordecai

Planning to use both of them for a possible Tag-Team tournament and maybe Mr /co/ as well.

>Drew and Pickles

I have plans to use them for both Mr /co/ and /cov/ (I already have a /v/ partner for Max, but no yet with Drew).

>Donkey, Sid, and Puss in Boots

For Donkey, I'm planning to nominate him for /cov/ and Tag-Team with Sid again. For Puss in Boots, I'll be nominating him for /cov/.

>BSC girls

For both Claudia and Stacey, I'll be nominating them for /cov/ (I got like three choices for Claudia, but nothing yet for Stacey). For Kristy and Mary Anne, I'm going to nominate them for Tag-Team.

>Aisling and Saoirse

I'm going to use them for Tag-Team and Ms /co/. I also thinking of /cov/, but no idea what /v/ partner I can use for each of them.

>Edith

So far, I'm using her for Ms /co/.

>Sulley

Gonna use him for Mr /co/ for now.

>Alex the Lion

Same as Sulley.

>Phoney Bone

Mr /co/ and also /cov/ with someone else.

>Wilt

Mr /co/

Sad these two left so soon. They had great banter and this is most definitely controversial to say, but I think Rigby deserved the win a bit more than Superman. He was a bigger highlight of the threads back then.

I was really looking forward to him and thought he would do great. Losing to Hal Jordan of all character by 1 vote really hurt.

I voted for Donkey and Sid. I thought they were fun in Tag Team. I was maybe a bit too harsh on Puss. Sorry about that, but I still stand by that his opponents should have won.

Do you like Heroes of /v/? I've been a big fan ever since the second round. Before that, I really didn't understand any of the tournament. Too silent, too many upsets. It was in round 2 where OC presence became more apparent.
I think Not Shane was the tournament's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on morality in an era lacking in it. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding and following rounds. Frankie, take off your hoodie.
Look at the brilliant ensemble campaigning of Mac, Wright, and Ishimaru. You can practically feel every nuance of every post. Raven, remove your cloak.
In terms of OC craftsmanship, the sheer passion, this tournament hits a new peak of professionalism. Raven, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the posts of Frank West. In this campaign, Frank West addresses the problems of abusive silent majority. Ayin had the most moving campaign on the board, about dedication and commitment. The posts were extremely uplifting. The campaign is as positive and affirmative as anything I've seen on /tnt/. Frankie, get down on your knees so Raven can see your asshole.
The Elite Eight seems to be more diverse and therefore more satisfying, in a broad way. Especially contestants like Klein Gremory and Proto Man. Raven, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think the Elite Eight work best when up against randos, than against each other. This is The Will of One, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

S: "I see, and what makes you say that, Mr. Hill?"
H: "You see, propane burns cleanly, making your meat taste better, unlike if you cooked it with charcoal or that bastard gas, butane."
S: "Well, I've eaten steak and burgers from a charcoal grill before, and they tasted just fine to me."
H: "That's how they get you, Mr. Superman. By keeping the good stuff away from you, it makes you accustomed to the dirty charcoal. As a proud American, I can't let you go any longer without a nice propane-cooked steak."
S: "Alright then. I'll take a steak, medium-rare, please."
H: "Heh heh, great minds think alike, don't they?"
>One steak dinner later
S: "That was a great steak. Thank you, Mr. Hill."
H: "Don't mention it. Now, how about I give you a tank of propane to take back to the Fortress of Solitude with you?"
S: "Sorry, but I must decline. I'm afraid that it could potentially melt the Fortress."
H: "Well I'll be. Even the mighty Superman has his weak points."
S: "Hey, none of us are perfect. I'll see you later, Mr. Hill."
H: "See you, Superman."

Here's some highlights:
>Hugh Neutron giving conspiracy theories about the tournament
>Space Ghost interviewing his opponents
>Harvey Birdman defending Hank Hill in court after the latter is accused of having 500GB of cheese pizza by Jimmy Neutron
>Numbah One trying to make kids dominate this tournament only for the Pumpkin Rabbit to kidnap all of them
>Kuzco building invading Brazil and building Kuzcotopia, then enlisting ENA as his bodyguard and inviting Xavier to relax in Kuzcotopia
>Hank getting revenge on Courage for 2019 by causing the biggest blowout in the tournament
>Mickey Mouse drugging several contestants to try and get far in the tournament only to be backstabbed by himself
>Matt Murdok and Clark Kent debating on if Superman is a DTVA character or not

It's been a good tournament, although there's been some controversial results, most notably Puss in Boots beating Space Ghost.
