It's a shame that Shrek was up against Grim who apparently the silent majority fucking loved. Farquaad's loss was because Spider-Man was the last comic book character standing (besides Max) and all the comicbros were worried that the tourney was being dominated by cartoon characters so they pushed for him. Not that it mattered because Peter jobbed hard to Carl.

Hey everyone. Sorry for disappearing for a while, but rest assured I am still alive and interested in doing this.

Since /v/ anons seem more active than /co/ at the moment, I would like to begin with them, all the while gathering interest on /co/ via stealth threads. For now, I would like to try running Heroes of /v/ some time close to the middle of June. The /co/ tournaments will probably wait until late July or August unless there is significant interest.

Not all of these rules are set in stone, so I am open to feedback if you have any.

It's because all the rp universe and autist enthusiasm that /co/ had here is dead for various reasons and /v/ is still in their 2020 equivalent that hasn't ended due to a series of bad circumstances. /v/ heroes/villains is like an extended party of enthusiasts, /co/ is... just a formal tournament.

/co/ lore autism is in a fine place, it doesn’t need to be at the same level as /v/. Last Mr. /co/ was very active on the RP camp, but if you were to ask me I'd say if we can attract some interest for the Heroes and Villains tournaments that would definitely help revitalize the scene a little.

The /v/ tourneys were very lax when it came to nominating characters for either tournament (by which I mean there was no rules whatsoever, fucking Layton in Villains), so you could nominate him for both because he WAS a villain. That said, qualifying in Heroes means you can't qualify in Villains.

We really should define by moral grounds. It's more interesting that way and makes more sense. There are times the Protagonist is objectively the villain in context of the story like Invader Zim.

Protagonist and antagonist do not mean hero or villain. Characters should be defined by their morals.
However, I did say that the rules were extremely lax. You could nominate Spongebob as a villain.

There are legitimately Invader Zim fans who debate endlessly whether Dib or Zim is the villain, and whether Dib or Zim is the protagonist. So either way this is going to be messy.

Zim is the protagonist of some episodes(The Nightmare Begins, Bestest Friend), Dib is the protagonist of some episodes(Battle Dib, Balognaus Maximus). And while Zim is usually considered the 'bad guy' in show, he's also extremely inept and Dib can be pretty morally questionable at times himself.

Hell, in the Nicktoons Unite games, Zim is put on the heroes team and Dib on the villains team(though in universe it's because Zim lied to the main heroes and told them he was just a misunderstood explorer and Dib was a bigoted alien hunter or something, and SpongeBob/Jimmy/Timmy all believed him and told Dib 'shame on you' so he sided with the villains to go against Zim.)

I WOULD say that still makes Dib the hero, but that would also mean he was perfectly fine aiding Plankton/Crocker/Vlad/BeatifulGorgeous with their schemes if it meant a chance to kill Zim, which isn't exactly hero behavior
