Maybe not as much as people here say, but I think it exists to an extent. The Disney characters that do well just have things to them that transcend petty company biases. Tinkerbell appeals to people with a fairy fetish, Alice appeals to lolifags, L&S is in the same spot as ENG (came out roughly at the same time period, too), and Jessica Rabbit is not really associated with Disney. Most of the female characters from the actual classic/Renaissance movies are still jobbers.
