Two great characters from two great shows and one of the big teams during the big 2020 campaign year. After a few years of being short of Elite Eight again and finally returning, I think them finally winning it all would be a great send off the last half decade of Tag-Team (this the sixth one, but things got bigger the second year with the first year being a 64 team tournament).

I have been doing a rewatch of Family Guy during this tournament and I can say at least the first 7 seasons were good. Stewie and Brian are an iconic duo and their cutaway gag campaign has made me audibly laugh.

Two great villains and not much more needs to be said than Transformers. It's cool to see Megatron get far after all the times Optimus did.

I felt like I went a bit too meta for my reasons putting Assholish Adult Swim Duo as my favorite, so let me get into other reasons why I like the team and why they work besides the network they share. It's a duo of whiny, entitled assholes, one being a psychopath and the other being an actual supervillain, that are hard to take seriously because of how they act, but can intentionally or unintentionally be really dangerous with how many people they have actually killed. They can unhealthily cling to certain people in their lives either out of actually liking/hating them or needing them to get them out of situations they put themselves in. They also have both larped as superheroes before, known as The Drizzle/Fume and the Blue Morpho, for selfish reasons.

Fun fact; much like how Ben had various preproduction ideas for the aliens, there were ideas for Rex's machines that went unused. Per Duncan Rouleau
> The Big Hurt - it made Rex half man half tank. Sort of a killer centaur.
> Crash Hat - sort of a Juggernaut-like helmet.
> Slick Trick - a frictionless suit composed of tiny nanite like wheels that made Rex move like mercury.

Hello and welcome to the quarterfinals of the exciting Tag-Team tournament! We have reach this far folks; eight powerful teams have fought their way to the E8 and are ready to face each other in some of the most intense battles we seen so far. Let's dive into the action:

At round 1, Cats Don't Dance unleashed their familiar synchronized dance number while dodging Soundwave’s sonic blasts and Shockwave’s laser strikes as they attempt to blast them out of the spotlight. Danny quickly leaps towards the top of Shockwave's head as the Decepticon desperately tries to shake him off. Meanwhile, Soundwave retaliates by unleashing his cassette minions, Ravage and Laserbeak after Sawyer who managed to dodge and counterattack with her rhythmic movements. Can the Decepticons SFX Team make a step onto the right direction, or will Cats Don't Dance dance their way to the semifinals?

At match 2, this battle.....is less a fight and more a competition of who can out-stupid the other! The Monarch launches his death-rays at the duo, but Beavis in his “Cornholio” mode somehow deflects them by waving his shirt and right back at the butterfly villain. Meanwhile, Butthead has eaten one of the Monarch’s butterfly-shaped explosives and burps a flamethrower out of his mouth which lands on Master Shake's milkshake traps that catches on fire and one again, setting the entire stage on fire! The fight is a cacophony of idiocy and destruction, with no clear victor just yet!

At match 3, Mystery Inc are having serious trouble here folks as the duo running around in circles from the oncoming projectiles thrown at them by the Decepticon. Starscream uses his speed to herd Scooby and Shaggy into a corner while Megatron delivers powerful strikes to keep them trapped. However, Scooby and Shaggy pull off a last-minute escape with a huge slingshot they stumble upon, launching a massive pie into Starscream’s face and causing him to crash to the ground. However, Megatron is still standing as he chases towards Mystery Inc as they scream for their lives. Can Mystery Inc unleash their one percent of their power to wipe out the Decepticon, or will they be squished flat like the scurrying bugs they are?

At match 4, Ben tranforms into Spider-Monkey as he leap through Stewie’s gadget-filled defenses and managed to entangle him with webs. Meanwhile, Rex uses his massive mechanical fist to counter Brian’s feeble attempts to fight back with a tennis ball launcher which only just made things harder for Rex to land a hit on the alcoholic atheist. However, Stewie isn’t out of tricks yet as he deploys his ultimate weapon: a time-freeze ray. With the Men of Action now stuck momentarily immobilized, Brian attempts to torment them with his own ultimate weapon: a long-ass speech on why Obama is the greatest thing to happen to America. With both Ben and Rex at the mercy of their opponent's trap, how would they escape their torture?

The teams are far more determined to get the crown than ever before and whoever will reach the semifinals is anyone's game. Who will be the four team to reach the top? Vote now!
