The thing is the only SMT picks that ever qualify are demons since any given one is in most SMT games, even persona, so they're easily recognizable and Demi-fiend, whereas individual alignment reps and protagonists rely on you having actually played their game, and while a lot of anons have played at least one SMT game (usually Nocturne hence demi-fiend) rarely will they have played many, so the SMT voterbase is too divided to get any of those characters in.
Which is a shame, I'd have liked Nahobino or Walter since I feel they're relatively popular enough to maybe do well, but those rely on the voter having specifically played SMTV or SMTIV. Though I was interested to see that Dagda of all characters came the closest to qualifying besides Jack Frost, maybe it's because he's both in SMTVV and SMTIV:A so there's more voter overlap from people who have only played those games?

So we can agree it's getting pretty evident who's winning this right?

The situation with Wario and Doomguy losing to Sam and Peppino reminds me a lot of Mr. /co/ when Eddy and Batman lost to Squidward and Plankton, at least the salt seems to be dying down like it did in Mr. /co/. I mean, in a vacuum both Peppino AND Sam are pretty good. Peppino's fine even in-context, the downfall is more lamentation of Doomguy's horrible luck. Were Cortex replaced with Doom so Peppino vs Doomguy was an E8 match, everything would be peachy.
