I guess while I'm here, I'm aware I haven't been campaigning for Mac that much during Qualifiers, last-minute stuff got in the way that kept me from being committed like in Co-op. But even if he doesn't qualify in main 128, I'm very content with his Co-op win and I have other characters to back just in case. Spider-Man was my main for Mr. /co/ despite not nominating him so I'm happy I got a main win either way.

Usually it happens to me as well I don't have time to campaign for my picks, so I just hope for the best after qualifiers. I also love Spider-Man (although I was also rooting for Courage and Popeye) I also did the first anchor for Glamrock Chica and Roxanne Wolf, however I felt like Little Mac and Doc Louis fit much better in the anchor since Punch-Out is one of the big classics from the 8-bit era. As someone who has played Security Breach and both Punch-Out NES and SNES myself.

over on /co/ people know when to drop a bit. or if they build upon it, it actually feels like a development instead of ten-year-olds smashing action figures together. i also think the presence of proper digits on /co/ gives more weight and sticking power to events that score more repeating numbers. if someone gets trips for something, it stays until someone else gets trips or higher, which is rare. it's not as easy as hitting a 1/10 chance.

No matter who wins I feel like this has been the best Barred this year. Mr. Barred was really good too even if IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUDDAM HUSSEIN but King Barred has felt especially lively with good results and OC. Ms. Barred was fun for a bit but then it fell off near the end, and I literally do not remember what happened in Queen Barred so I'm just going to assume it sucked like the rest of the tournament. For Barred I say,

The only one I think would actually suck would be Pepsiman over Raiden. Neo Cortex/CJ feel like weak links compared to the rest but even then I don't think they suck as much as they feel like they're obligatory 8th placers, and only one is getting in regardless.

Raiden and Denton being in the elite is based, AM is good too but a bit overrated. Shadow, Luigi, Peppino and Dr. Neo Cortex being in the elite is just an headache to see. Not that these guys were particularly bad but the options prior were overwhelmingly superior and missed opportunities wasted by characters who just so happened to score either lucky brackets or happened to have a boost this month.

Jetstream Sam being in E8 also shouldn't logically be a bad call but the means he got there by is something I fucking loathe. Wario had an absolutely kino campaign this year while Sam had a memefest and chaotic one which then became too repetitive.

Elite Eight this year had no panache, no rhythm and a lot of wasted potential. Despite that, the characters are solid (mostly) and the campaign is good this year. Probably the weakest of all the King /v/ tourneys held despite the strong start.
