I'm actually all for other "schizo" alliance characters winning and getting elite spots in the future. To be honest, the characterization of Grimm in the tournaments is highly exaggerated due in effect being an alternative way of being able to play as (Psychopathic Rapist). Otherwise Grimm is an actual gentleman who cares for his friends and loved ones. He just so happens to be tormented by an outer god which drives him insane but he still tries to keep his humanity in check.

Curly Brace is caring and has a mother-instinct which Grimm champions so that is what probably pushed the ship.

Kind of the problem with them is being thread side tourney things, so only tourney autist thread people will vote on them, so you get these kind of oddball results. As one of the few anons here who is close to his source material, I'm kind of surprised as well. Maybe it's important to take into account that Blacksad has tournament history in campaigning going back to the RPfest of 2020, one reason why he is a consistent face to this day.
Either way, I think he is a good character who deserves to make the top 128 properly, his series is totally worth checking out for the art alone. And the theme of all Mr. /co/ side tournament winners being detectives this year is really funny.

I mean, it's not a big deal if there are side tourneys during the tourney and the results are thread reflective rather than /co/ reflective. The moment people start proposing stuff like side winners having some special privilege it gets ridiculous.

His schizophrenia even puts her in a dress. The kicker is that it was not even the worst breakdown he has in the game.

If you didn't know Grimm is a vessel for all of the author mindbroken my those gods. Besides the elite 8 was just two inaugural champions, Froppy (whose chances are dead following that finale, some random cat pushed by Vegetafags and Eris only pushed because of the impact she left earlier on Ms. /co/. Agree with Playboy/Playgirl of /trash/ being the name
>Gives it a different signifying title like all the others have so far
>Doesn’t associate with /co/, which is good since it shows it isn’t just for /co/ characters and also there isn’t an association in leadership which might get ugly for main tourney if thought there was
>Signifies it’s a sexualized porn/horny contest instead of the “anything goes” people are confused thinking it is so far

Then only allow ONE character per actor to further separate them, simple as. Additionally, you could apply the three-rule to live action reps.

You know, this wouldn't be official by any means but I'd like if the winners of both contests were given a sash instead of a crown. Then drawfags can decide how much/how little of the winner's body they want concealed. It could be a huge sash that covers a bunch, or it could be basically nothing and they're in their naked glory.

Though Mr /co/ was a special kind of awful for drawfags this year, really good art would get maybe 3-4 replies. It only seemed to be the semifinaks and finals people actually gave a shit about drawings again.

I'm gonna say it, Ms. /co/ was better than Mr. /co/ this year
I don't know if people are willing to accept that but it's true, now Ms. /co/ had the usual amounts of shitflinging, salt, and autism but it also had a record amount of OC as well as engagement towards OC, and a lot of the shitflinging banter led to actually funny things ("did i beat fang" memes, susiefag and E8fag getting BTFO in extremely comical fashions, etc). This year's Mr. /co/ had a bunch of the same shitflinging, falseflagging, and drama that Ms. /co/ had but people were too busy obsessing over schizos and tripfags to pay attention to any OC or even just the tournament itself.
Not to say Mr. /co/ was actually bad this year (it'll be a cold day in hell when we actually get a bad Mr. /co/ tournament) since there was still a lot of fun stuff going in but I personally had more fun in Ms.

It's hard to say. Honestly I consider them both about equal this year, with Ms being SLIIIGHTLY better.
Ms's art output was incredible, and the finale was great. What brought it down was the astronomical levels of falseflagging and seethe, I swear it was even worse than 2023. There was still some pretty comfy campaigns among the chaos. The discussion around Jucika, Blackfire and Nani tended to be chill. Even if it had a ton of anger around it, Pomni's campaign was really fun. The typical round 1 spite targets made a ridiculous amount of art, it felt like they got more than Mr /co/ did entirely. It had much better engagement with art, too.
Mr was so much weaker than usual, /co/'s decline is really showing there. The big nostalgia fagged shows that get far don't have obsessive waifu fanboys around them, so there just wasn't a ton of art OR art engagement. People were just talking about Birchy and fags obsessed with Birchy, it was even worse than Ms. But Gordon vs Joker was an insanely funny round. I wish one of them had won, people doomfagging about "FOTM" brought down the mood hard.

And ever since you've been going on about how bad Mr /co/ is and are making it way too obvious
That's why I don't take your shit at face value, these "schizos" were not noticeable on any threads outside early morning threads for 2 rounds and the last day threads. They were often memed on. Next time, don't openly state on /tnt/ your plans

Ms. seethe gets personal and real, and the history of weird winners and line-ups makes the meta flinging far worse. Mr. can have bad threads and schizo faggotry and not be seen as a big deal cause everyone knows in the end they'll be satisfied with the end result and like pretty much anyone that wins without being blinded by waifu rage.

Putting effort into something only to not get as much attention as you were expecting sucks, but it doesn't mean people out there don't actually appreciate or acknowledge it (I do make sure to leave a response whenever I like something though).

>Who even is this girl

Shadow from the webcomic The Monster under the Bed. Basically this demon looking girl crawled out from under a kids bed trying to scare him, it didn't work, they ended up growing up as besties and as of recently a couple.
There's a LOT more to it, including why the monsters venture into the human world, the kids mom being also a demon, the kid and the girl spending halloween together, after 5 years of the comic going on they finally lose their virginity to each other, school stuff, antagonists staging a coup, Shadow as a kid did not wear undies and inadvertently flashed Tim, etc.

The good part is that the author doesn't shy away from drawing full nudity, the bad part is that he updates at a snails pace, average 1 page a month nowadays.

I think the poll got all the results it will get, the last Ms. /aco/ Elite 8 will be barred from entering the now named Playgirl of /trash/
Here's a timer for it:
https://itsalmo.st/time-for-playgirl-of-trash-fzeq

The date for Playboy of /trash/ probably won't change from what it is now, so it most likely will be happening once the Afterparty of King of /v/ starts (It will start at 9PM instead, I'll wait a couple of hours before starting it).
Next year, I'm thinking that Playgirl should be after Mr. /co/ and Playboy after Queen of /v/, now that people know about them.

Listen to me! This will be the only exception. Madotsuki is the only one STRONG enough to defeat the curse, and no one else. There won't be a runner-up winner for King, there won't be a runner-up winner for next year or the year after that, there won't be anymore runner-up winners for any mainline tournament. The runner-up curse itself could be adapted. How about this? Eggman was the most notable affected by the curse, right? So get this, i call it the Rotten Egg Curse: Powerhouses that are never able to win. Basically it's about the most notable characters who ended never getting their victory. Sure they may get to be part of their respectives Elite 8, maybe even be
the runner-up of their tournaments, but they are never able to get their crown. Mado wouldn't be part/exception of this curse because although she was the runner-up of 2021 and won 2024, she was never able to much in the others years.

What I liked the most of this year's Mr. /co/ is how everyone who won the main and side tourneys were detectives like him, /co/nrad and Blacksad or just well-doers like Spider-Man. I don't recall if someone thought of the idea early as well, but I do recall that Saddam losing early made everyone disappointed on it and people predicted /co/nrad's inevitable victory. I was voting for Saddam at the time. Because of that, Barred left a bad taste in anons' mouths but that didn't seem the case for Queen with how vocal the supporters were for each character. The only problem is that the host would often disappear no one would post the poll. That may have been the reason by the lack of attention along with people also focusing on Next and Bottom. We had 4 tourneys going around.
>>165860
What a good joke. /co/ brigaded here in plus4chan thanks to Fusefag who got Tag-team banned in the main site. It wasn't until Tag-team anon dropped here to continue it. Later, stats and other hosts at the time, and /v/ eventually joined in too. We all brigaded from /co/ and /v/ to here and now we use this site to literally do the same with other boards where we've hosted as well (/an/, /his/, /a/, /m/, /aco/ and now /trash/). Instead of wasting breath basing it on a result you didn't like (or even were aware by your word), that thought should brigade out of your mind so you can save that energy for King of /v/, which is the most important event now to end the year. I'm not failing you again, my former elite 8 king.

Mao Mao made finals of heroes here and had the big porn thing. Brisby won barred (and everyone knew she was a favorite prediction here). Minerva won next 128 (hosted latter half here). Blacksad won Mr. barred. Kondo won Queen barred. There's also a bunch of furry porn made here and general furry wank.

Those first four tournaments happened in 2023 (except 2022). Pretty sure people were laughing their asses off unironically at the Mao porn. That only leave us with Brisby being first who was expected since there were Brisbyfags still around but made no presence after her failure to join the top 128. Minerva's win was literally carried by the Spider-Man poster. Blacksad? No one even mentioned that, his poster was at all times putting dedication and effort in talking about it.

Who's that? You mean Flam? Similar to Blacksad to a lesser extent. However if you only mean this as an observation than genuinely trying to do something bad I think it's because of how the original post was worded.

That seems the case. I'm honestly glad that despite some incidents here and there (that most of the times happen when it's main tournament time) this place doesn't have the same level of autism or spite of the main boards. It's a good reason why Tag-team 2024 turned out so good. /cov/ was a rare example but it managed to end well and the controversy was quickly swept under the rug.

That is most likely going to change with the /trash/ tourneys depending on how many join. What I've been worried is how it will affect the attention Dill's poll got in the /v/ tournament. Considering only around 80 people voted on it.

Reminds me, can Dill specify just HOW strict is this loli ban is for the /trash/ tourney?
Cause it's kind of an ambiguous situation on /trash/ (and 4chan in general really). Stuff like the DTVA general is allowed on there, and hebe-ish characters like Megumin and Tomoko can be posted, similar to /h/ and /e/. Also loli within threads I've noticed is posted without deletion, like with the cyoa general. And then, y'know, there's cases like Yoko.

I think the furry slant is two simple things. One, in the nicest way to say it, /tnt/ is the cope board. Furries job hard in the main tournaments, every time. And so, furfags are going to want to congregate here, to get some kind of victory. Two, this site doesn't freak the hell out about furries. On /v/ or /co/, even non-explicit in-canon screenshots of an anthro lady, should it piss off the wrong mod can get a ban. They're VERY strict about it. Here, drawings of Morgana's balls can be posted with a mere click of the NSFW icon. So closeted furfags can come out here.

I don't really how to say it. The best way to favor the lolifags is the /b/ tournament. It's the only way now that furfags are getting one of their own.
>>166004
It's interesting too, however that is probably going to change now with the /trash/ tourneys. When it comes to side or main tournaments no one has won one so far, the only ones are those spawned from the main tournaments such as Next and Barred.

I think that would go exclusively for the /v/ ones since in the /co/ ones they do relatively well. However, the /v/ tournament does have a bigger silent majority than /co/ which may boost the idea. Let alone the fact that every single person is actively rigging, there's no other way to say with how we've dealt with discordfags.

Eh, a Battler redemption would likely be accepted. Main issues are it continues the heavy focus on winners having specific tournament arcs and it would inevitably highlight how a lot of anons aren't truly familiar with Battler's source material.

I agree with what >>167291 said. Pure FOTM is likely out for this year, so it would have to be one of the other two. Out of the whitelist cast, however, I don't think any of them are actually going to win. If he didn't have issues with silent voters, I'd say Geralt would be the most reasonable winner. He'd be ragged on more for being too mainstream or basic than being a whitelist character. AM has a shot in the dark, but I do think people are overrating his actual odds.

Well /mlp/ has been mostly its own thing, and really /his/ for that matter. That drops the number by three at least, but even then that's still over a dozen other tournaments. I do think pulling back a little next year would be fair, even if just by a couple. Colors was already an one-off even before its host got disgraced and /an/lympics might not get a third installment after its poor showing last time. Still, there's other tournaments happening to consider past that. Mr. /tv/ is getting a huge push in particular, and for off-board events both another heroes/villains and an /a/ tag team have been tossed around. This is why I actually voted against doing /cov/ a second time, but I'm fine doing an encore of that since so many wanted it.

Like using sex for a normal sexy female character is consistently frowned upon and avoided, and the tourney where you can just cut loose with it gets banned.
Seriously considering maybe trying to run an /h/, /d/, or /e/ board tourney or at lest a variant if there's interest (probably wouldn't be /e/ though for various reasons). /a/ girls have also really gotten the dumpiest deal so far despite being the foundation of 4chan. Almost all of them are either basically perfect or still solid winners. Considering the quantity here, definitely the strongest selection of winners even if something shit wins either Playboy or Shitpost Showdown.

Worst winner? I don't think >rape is particularly good, though I am not in the best place to judge that. Still felt prior Mr. /mlp/ winners were better in a broader sense. Derpy was obviously a great winner at least.
Worst winner in terms of wider impact? Yeah, Bumblebees is easily the winner with the most widespread criticism. Not sure I'd call bees a bad winner for an animal tournament, but the high seed advantage, unremarkable thread presence, and afterparty shitstorm really ruined them and likely /an/lympics as a whole.
Most forgettable winner? Tough call between Napoleon or Gold, which makes sense with those tournaments being the smallest. Former is a great pick, but mostly understated. Latter is just from an oddball tournament with a now SHIT and FINISHED host.

She's still popular despite that, and considering /mlp/ is mostly centered around one show she fits in among a slate of six winners and counting. Agree to disagree, but I thought she fit well in the context of the tournament.

>>170117
I agree, which is why I singled them out with a category beyond just worst winner. There's a lot you can unpack about why bees got such a bad rap, but it feels like it's for just about every reason that's not related to how well they fit the board's theming.

Now that the dust has finally settled, can we agree on the following ranking for this year:

Mr. /co/ > Queen /v/ > King /v/ > Ms. /co/
My Queen /v/ ranking is controversial but I had fun and despite the shitflinging we still got a good winner out of it. King /v/ had a disappointing outcome so that tanks it for me.

Am I wrong for thinking the Ms. and Mr. tournaments were not that exciting this year? Ms. was easily better than 2023 because NSA got schizophrenic about /co/'s favorite spammer, but Mr. was much more hype in 2023, had funnier matchups and a really good winner still despite Skeletor not being Spiderman-tier.
Queen was a shitshow due to falseflagging after around Round 3 but plenty of contestants still had their shine and were exciting during this.
King was super fun and never had a significant drop in participation unlike say 2022 past Round 3. I'm partial to both Denton and Shadow, and I'd prefer Denton, but Shadow is ok with me, so I don't feel disappointed. The best tournament this year in my opinion.

Mr. > King > Ms. > Queen
It's hard to even evaluate King though since it has it's own unique brand of doing things. It has the most OC and general activity but the actual character voting aspect tends to become secondary. Has the weakest winner too imo so I put it behind Mr. /co/.

Overall winner win percentages:

1. Bravo: 72.5%
2. Kronk: 64.5%
3. Jenny: 62.7%
4. Spider-Man: 60.5%

9. Dante: 57.9%
10. Recette: 57.5%
11. Midna: 57.4%

Unsurprisingly the early winners are still the most dominant. Though Curly's run is a bit of an outlier, almost surpassing Armstrong and Jenny. Unlikely there's ever gonna be another stomp run on the level of Bravo though.

My first /v/ tourney was QoV 2022, very impressed with how comfy and quality it was. Reminded me of Mr. /co/. Queen 2023 likewise but the loser's bracket drama at the end detracted significantly. Queen 2024 was basically a ms. /co/ but with a better than usual finale.
King's are something else entirely. Hype level is impressive but not a big fan of how retarded it can get actually determining the results.

Most likely somewhere around June/July, likely either a team tournament or heroes/villains again.
Though there's also a chance we get a proper /a/ board tournament in 2025, not sure when but I guess that's ultimately up to the organizer(s).

I mean to be fair /trash/ is *extremely* skewed towards furries to the point a 128th seed furry is legitimately equal to a 1st seed non-furry, so yeah Quote's probably the biggest jobber in this tournament but in general the title of biggest round 1 jobber still goes to like Snoot Game Fang and Hat Kid for repeatedly scoring a top 10 seeds only to job to triple digit seeds, or if you want to count sheer volume of round 1 jobs then it's definitely Banjo since he lost round 1 six times in a row (in half of which he didn't even get 30% of the vote)
