So, who are you guys looking forward to voting for and talking about?
I really like
>Pretty much any Batman character, especially those with big roles in BTAS and TNBA
>Any ATHF character, especially Shake and Carl
>Xavier, criminally underrated show
>Calvin and Hobbes, all time favorite comic strip
>Everybody from Treasure Planet, especially Captain Silver
>Any Watchman character, especially Ozymandias and Rorschach. But if someone can get OC of Dr Manhattan's dick past the jannies I'd laugh hard
>Any Looney tunes character, especially Daffy and Foghorn Leghorn
>Caine and Kinger, TADC is much better than I expected it to be and the most recent episode was great
>Beavis and Butthead, brilliant satire and "Do America" is perhaps the greatest PG-13 rated animated movie ever made
>Squidward and Mr. Krabs, Spongebob's such a great cartoon. Also got to meet Squidward's VA at a con which was cool
>Shrek, Puss, Death, and Horner
>Jimmy Neutron, but not for the tired "This poster has REALLY bad stuff on his computer" meme I really did watch the cartoon a lot growing up
>Emmet, I loved Legos as a kid and The Lego Movie was great
>Kuzco, adore Emperor's new Groove
>Any and all Iron Giant Picks, might be my favorite animated movie ever
>Similar sentiment with any Incredibles pick, both those Brad Bird films are so good
>Buzz and Woody, love the Toy Story trilogy and there is no fourth movie don't be silly
>Peter, Stewie, and Brian Griffin. I like pre-cancellation Family Guy a lot and there's some decent episodes after, like the Red Bull one
>Eric Cartman. What a little shit, he's great
There's definitely more I'm forgetting but Mr has such a stacked roster it's an easy mistake.

Damn near everyone who's going to qualify, but then again I'm much the same for Ms, I grew up with way too many cartoons and I didn't have very picky standards so I have a lot of nostalgia for the vast chunk of 2000s shows and a few of the early 2010s shows, which is what compromises the majority of both tournaments rosters, never really got how some people can only have a few picks that they actually like in a tournament with 128 characters.

This is my favorite response image. It means "I don't know" and it has very deep lore behind the statement going all the way back to last decade on certain Finnish Donald Duck forum. It's drawn by Finnish Donald Duck drawer Kari Korhonen.
There also other legendary Donald Duck related reaction images with some featuring Scrooge McDuck too.
Donald Duck reaction images are an important part of Finnish board culture, which is not surprising, because Donald Duck is very popular in Finland

I'm sure in a couple of years MD will be able to beat Lackadaisy or whatever thing will be considered new and terrible then.

List of seed upsets so far:
Mojo Jojo (102) > Duck (27)
Grunkle Stan (75) > Yakko Warner (54)
Oogie Boogie (83) > Bane (46)
Bender (78) > Mr. Incredible (51)
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (74) > Hobbes (55)
Gaston (71) > Calvin (58)
Jack Skellington (79) > Caine (50)
Charlie Brown (101) > Red Guy (28)
Scar (69) > Beavis (60)
Megatron (89) > Robbie Rotten (40)
Seems like lower seeds can still win over higher ones, might not always happen but in my opinion it's more satisfying having a true underdog struggle than basically lucking into the top 8 by beating four 90-128 fodder characters in a row

Randomized doesn't make less popular characters suddenly win the entire tournament, it give them a chance at staying for more than a single round before losing to a more popular character.
Every character that qualifies is interesting in their own way, having them all have a fair chance of getting past the first round or two means that people can have fun talking about/drawing/etc. the characters, since that's the point of the tournaments. Ultimately, a popular character is very likely going to win, no matter if it's Seeded or not.

NTA but I enjoy seeing fresh blood in the bracket and it always sucks when the inevitable happens and the promising picks lose early. When was the last time Monarch or Silver got past Round 2? I must wonder how it's not demoralizing for their campaigners to get btfo early over and over again, with no sign of this changing any time soon.

Past a certain threshold, it kinda feels like the same faces in Mr. every year with very little variety. Right now I think we'll have five of the 2022 E8 return (Daffy, Grim, Squidward, Carl, Courage will all probably dominate their brackets).

Adding to this, a lot of Temp's rants here put a lot of emphasis on "doing justice" for characters like Raven and Frankie because of events that transpired in previous tournaments.
>because Temp doesn't seem like someone who'd lie about being banned

I'd be surprised if Popeye makes the Elite 8 and wins Mr /co/ this year. Now why? He usually reached Round 4 twice, but often lost to very significant opponents, this year he defeated Eustace and Donald Duck. If he defeats Grimm, who was in the Elite 8 twice, and Grimm was usually silent in the campaign, he will definitely be the honorary winner for me and the oldest character in these /co/ competitions, since he is from 1929.

Eh, I feel Bugs has been too quiet. Daffy could absolutely make finals again, and I got a feeling whoever wins the second match-up in QF isn't going to beat their opponent. He needs to stave off a Spider-Man upset and then push enough to beat either the Joker or Shake after that.

I actually think that Daffy vs. Carl might be the most likely finale, though the bottom half of the bracket is indeed harder to predict. I could see any out of Carl, Courage, Doof, or Batman making it. If Plankton wins, I don't think he's beating Courage/Doof and then Carl right afterwards.

I agree on Batman being a true wild card this time. He could drop out now or make it to finals. Hell, he could even win if people rally around him off a Plankton win. I am leaning on him beating Plankton, but it's more like a 60/40 chance. Definitely not in range for him to get comfortable.

>>159222
Yeah, out of the two I'd give the advantage to the Joker to take down Daffy next round. Shake is great, but once the excitement of him finally making Elite Eight dies down I do think Daffy is more likely than not to end his run there. Carl is also one of the safest picks to return this time, and if people want to go one or the other I expect that to help Carl more overall.

The Joker has seemed to carry some hype over from his win last match, especially with it being close. I'm leaning on him beating Shake, though this is a true roadblock for him. Daffy would be a serious fight, but he could absolutely be the one to take him down. That will be a match for the finals, and if anything the fact it happens early could propel either of them to outright win.

Daffy Duck lost to the Joker in 2019 only because of the autistics who wanted a Duck Match since the Joker had previously defeated Donald and certainly because of the popularity of the movie. This way Daffy is more dangerous than the Joker and can defeat him, but the problem would be too much confidence after that, when the campaign for Daffy Duck died down (the case with Zorak). This way, I think that Daffy will have the most trump cards to win, followed by Courage, because those two have won the most votes in previous years and have a lot of support from their fans. However, I prefer Daffy Duck, and honestly he is definitely the best character out of all.

I'll answer that. I got a new DIY setup at my old home (I can tell from the quality alone) and asked for requests to use to field test it. I neither then (nor honestly now) knew that this was an actual character. I thought it was in reference to the body shape, and as I figured it, saying it here and not during the tournaments proper, along with it being what I thought was such a broad spectrum of possible women (no pun intended) that it wouldn't be a problem. Especially since it was just a system test and not a show or presentation proper. Two years later, I've been corrected.

Even without that explanation, I would like to think that my objectivity and neutral stance towards any/all characters in the shows and my regular presentation over the past five years has been proof enough that there is no nefarious or underhanded intent.

If I showed favoritism towards one side or another, I feel that I'd lose a large portion of my audience. I want everyone to enjoy the shows, and not feel ostracized. Considering that what I do already is a form of insult comedy, that's a very tricky line to tread.

Really thought we wouldn't get all four at once, but insanely hype we did. Plankton's cool and all, but he's the clear #5 among the newcomers for me.

For the returning three? Courage is the big one with his actual campaigning this time, even if he's retreading some ground in a surprisingly inspired Elite Eight. Squidward is fine even if I wish he had done more this time. Bugs felt like he got in on a quiet bracket. Glad to see him back after so long, but this would be a poor year for him to win.

Its the tripfags in general that need to go away the most. Every single one of them is a retard dumber than the last who doesn't care about the content of board tournaments so much as having their shitty name scribbled all over it. They're as numerous and gluttonous for attention as writhing maggots in a sea of filth and garbage, and like opportunistic vultures they stalk and harass every thread so they can swoop in and feast on attention that should be going to the characters in the tournaments. Every single moment the tournaments themselves have been in jeopardy are because of them. All the time spent arguing in circles over meta is because of them. The reason why these tournaments always go to shit over minor conveniences is because of them. They need to be dragged away from the internet and have their hands crushed by a hydraulic press so they can never type or wipe their ass again.

I thought it was fishy too, so I decided to look into it, and there was nothing in the archives indicating that Macho Manon is the same as Brackets/NSA. Macho Man did post a couple times during Ms. /co/ 2019, however it's worth noting that Queen 2019 happened at the same time as that tournament, and you can find multiple posts during Queen that year talking about Ms., so it's likely he heard about that tournament going on and decided to pop in and see how it was. Furthermore, looking at the image hashes in the archives for before and after the tournaments just shows him funposting on /v/, while nothing shows up in the /co/ archives. This just seems like confusing two separate hosts who had similar names and going crazy with the idea of NSA being some villain mastermind.
>>159617
>the former has no trip
Not true, he used a trip for a majority of King 2019, and said trip was never used outside of that tournament on both /co/ and /v/ aside from one post in a tourney thread in 2020.
>>159625
No, he seemed to only post during Mr. 2021. He posted a Johnny Bravo reaction image once with his trip on, but looking at the hash in the archive just shows it being used in normal /co/ threads, and nothing shows up on the /v/ archives. If anything, it proves that NSA is a DTVAfag since that image has been used in Owl House and Amphibia threads.

My new schizo theory is that NSA was rigging out comics picks, think about it
>Early years comic characters perform respectably, lots of them in the Elite Eight and the kind of results you'd expect from them
>They suddenly start taking a shit in 2021, doing even worse in 2022, and completely and utterly job in 2023 (the year where NSA had the most control) with a lot of the usual favorites like JJJ not even qualifying
>Then in 2024 comics characters suddenly out of nowhere start performing like crazy, a lot of newcomers like Rorschach manage to qualify for the first time and become fan favorites, Batman has a strong performance again, even Superman manages to not job round 1, and of course Spider-Man wins the tournament

Queen doesn't need to heal, the only problem it had was NSA being a faggot last year and NSA's not here anymore. Queen could have just about any winner and as long as it's not some retarded meme like JPEG Dog I'm sure it'll go over well
King just needs to bring an end to the rape and schizo story arcs, they were funny but there's such a thing as running a joke into the ground. Since THE rapist and THE schizo was the last winner now seems like pretty much the perfect time to bring that particular saga to a close

Both are very easy to heal:

All Queen has to do is get a winner that won't result in a shitstorm (Recette was supported by lolifags and caused the whole schizo autism in King, Midna was rigged, and Curly would've been the only good winner of 2023 tournaments if it weren't for NSA's autistic Grand Finals) while King gets a winner who didn't won for meta reasons (both Battler and Grimm are supported by schizofags and Jack Garland only won because metafags want some Jack autism).

>Grievous from 2000s
>Zorak from 1960s
