Indie comics really lack a distribution platform as good as Steam, which lets them compete with AAA slop that's mostly ruining the larger industry vs Capeshit taking over everything. Indie Cartoons can at least get a start off of Youtube, so that's a plus.

My argument is that people are going to make a big stink about it no matter what. Like look at Jpeg dog for example. I think banning trannies would just solve this whole entire thing in general. it would mean that Vivian and Madeline would get the shitter, but I don't think it worth risking having a massive shitshow if a trans character won either male or female tournaments.

FNAF+ was a fan game that was apart of this officially license fan games thing call The Fazbear Fanverse Initiative. FNAF+ was the biggest out of the 5 fan games connected to it. it was being developed by a guy called Phisnom, and he's the reason why the game got shitcanned.
Tl;Dr Phisnom did a bunch of stupid shit on twitter that ultimately got the game cancelled. People are not big on Phisnom because people accumed he was leaching off fnaf for fam since he stop being a fnaf fan a while ago and he was constantly shit talking everyone on twitter.

Look I'm a patient lad, so I'll fill ya in a bit, if for no other reason than it'll keep DBSfag from doing something more cretinous than standard for him.

Til bout 5 or 6 years ago, the Fatfags on /co/ mostly did their own thing, mods tolerated them, you can find some fun shit in the archives if you know where to look, Elastigirl and Catwoman and Star Butterfly and crap, lot's of material.

Then this wanker Doug Walker showed up, that's what everyone calls him anyway, he just went by Fat Daria Thread Guy. (If you wanna know the Doug thing, it's a Long story, some crackpot Silvia tier theory involving the real Doug's connections to Chad Rocco(AKA Tubbytoon) and his hamplanet wife and Nostalgia Chick getting fat and him quoting a Daria thread in his Sleepy Hollow review and then someone found a commission of Fat Daria he got from LWB..)

Regardless of if it was him or not, Doug changed the game. He was loud, proper loud, numbered his threads for a while. Some people copyed his methods, young, dumb, full of cum types. Most of the old guard knew it was a bad idea. Fun 6 months though.

Still it eventually prompted a couple of crackdowns and the more stealthy traditional threads started getting hit too. So some of em joined up with Walker to get revenge, some went underground.

Doug's Crew made really blatant threads and tended to pick fights with the mods. Made the crackdowns worse which got more people on his side for a while. Some guys allied to him tried to move Cartoon Expansion General to /co/ for a while, some guy called TummyAnon tried to make Tummy Tuesday a thing and then Squishy Sunday. The Chaos fags gradually got banned out or lost interest. What was left of them ended up hitching themselves to the Anne Incident and they launch yearly raids of Miss /co/. That's the Anne Raiders, mostly shitstirrers and old Doug followers, plus anyone caught up in that meme.

A bunch of counter-fat shitheads also rose up around that time, you had these derranged Moral Crusader's larping as Knights calling themselves "The Cure". They mostly hit Fatfags, but I believe they eventually went after Trap Threads and MILF threads too. You also had these guys raiding and posting dozens of Muscle Art pics, which got some of Doug's old loyalists to counter spam which stirred up the old shit pot.

Those guys alongwith the Fat Raiders prompted the founding of The Order of the White Rabbit(named after a fictional fatfag, though I think The Order part was to mock Cure and his crusader larping possee). They basically wanted to deal with the raiders, stop the spam wars, and re-take control of the narrative from Doug's old crew so they'd stop using /trash/ and /a/ as bases to organize(I think those guys were trying to bully the mods into making a /fat/ board at that point, this is like mid-late 2021)
They got rid of The Cure and folks with some help from the Trapposters(that was an interesting day) and managed to break the back of the Riot movement who were trying to blackmail the mods. So that worked out. But then some rumors started about them being a discord psyop(Best I could find Musclefag is probably Ground Zero, there was an incident where they showed up in a thread to try to talk down some of Doug's crew and it turned into a 3 way brawl). Cure also came back for a bit, but I think the Trap Threads threatened to out his other usernames and he bounced real quick. Thanks in part to some of the name smearing and also most of the stuff they were initially formed to deal with being gone they've gone somewhat quiet, I think they're trying to archive all their namesake authors works before they go belly up when she quits. They do show up in the Tournaments, but they aren't generally the loud ones, that's the Anne Raiders(who are again, where most of the old Doug Walkerists and /fat/ rioters ended up). In fact most of the art I've linked to them isn't fat explicitly, they tend to just back Fat candidates as well as the White Rabbit chick herself, never gone too far, but they don't cause as much trouble.

Then you've got the two OG cliques. Basically the guys who associate because they refuse to associate. You've got the Posh OGs and the Wet OGs, or the True OGs and the Filth OGs, they both call eachother lot's of shit. Basically the guys who want quiet stealth threads back(but don't want to use the Order name and don't like tournaments), and the guys who push really creepy stuff that should stay on /trash/, the Star Vs threads draw them out like a magnet. They have their own agenda's, Poshies do a of the Greentext work ,they did Rebound, Filthies do most of the off-season raiding. Filthies tend to support the Anne Raiders, Poshies tend to back The Order.

And there's also all the closeted fatfags and nu-chaosfags who just like watching all the shit happen. Fatposting is a strange business.

dumb it dumb and done you twat.

I'll write it simple enough a /v/ user could read it.

Anneposters(or Anneraiders or just The Raiders, whatever, the Anne thing is mostly for Tourneys) are a mix of people who think if they cause enough trouble the Mods will GR15 them and make a /fat/ border, and people who just want to cause trouble and make people uncomfortable. Hybrid of Doug's old crew and general troublemaking types.

The Order of the White Rabbit(Or the Order if you aren't a twat) want to wipe out Doug's influence on fat threads, push out the Puritanicals and spammers, and encourage more stealth threads. And I guess backup Steph's works since she's retiring nowadays.

The OG's are a mix of neutralists who want to Switzerland their way through and just consume fat threads that pop up in the background, and guys too degenerate or tied to other fetishes for the other groups to accept them. I don't like it. What drives a fag to neutrality.

There done did it without a fucking wall of text

The fatfags have a lot of groups with their own distinct cultural identities apparently, the ones that raid Ms /co/ are either individual trolls or the remnants of some loyal autists of some fag who made fat fetish generals on /co/ for a while, also there’s some other fatfags who got into some shitflinging contest with a group of moral puritans who don’t dump fat fetish shit but back characters associated with fat faggotry.

All of that is assuming he didn’t just make all this shit up.

Ok. Here's what I found digging through fireden and desu.

>Anne did start the fatposting in the tournaments.

>The tournaments have had fatraids yearly(There was one meme that showed up that was funny though, "Miss /co/'s Wide Ride" showed up)

>The Cure was a real userfaggot, or maybe more than one.

>FDTG existed as did the conspiracy theories

(also holy shit Nostalgia Critic really did collab with Tubbytoon to review Baby Doll)

>Tummy Tuesday existed, as did...Tubby Tuesday, Massive Monday, Wide Wednesday, Thick Thursday, Fat Friday, Flab Friday, Fattening Friday, Soft Saturday, Squishy Saturday, Squishy Sunday, and Softening Sunday. Jesus christ they tried a lot

>There was one incident of a cartoon expansion general on /co/ years ago

>Found evidence of at least one muscle fag raid, not sure if it's the one he's talking about

>There is an Order of The White Rabbit(though every thread that was run by them stayed surprisingly sane. Randos claiming to be part of them were mixed)

>Found evidence of Femboy Friday thread collaborating with people claiming to be from The Order to deal with Cure and someone from a Milf thread showed up too.
(how the fuck)

>And while I couldn't find any hard evidence of the OGs, I did follow up on the tip about old Star Vs threads. Those threads descended into extremely bizzare 'Star is a fat giant termite queen hypnoraping Star and then making everyone in town obese' stuff (i want to unread anons why did i do this) and this was on /co/. Not even that long ago in 2017. Several of them hit bump limit. WHY

I can't verify all the details about who said what or blah, but by and large Batterysage is telling the truth....

Seek help for me, I feel like I just played a pervy fallout fangame and i'm being forced to pick between douche and turd

I think I might know actually, depending on whether or not the IC copycat from the tournaments is either one person or multiple, he unfortunately might be our fault, I saw someone acting just like IC in one of our /dbs/ threads a while back, the only difference between him and the one from the tourneys is that his filenames don’t use the IMG_ set, but considering how easy it is to rename files I doubt that’s proof this isn’t at least one of the IC wannabes.

The Raider factions tied to Doug and Tummyanon are the ones who cause the bulk of the tourney related trouble. If you wanna play the 'join the fat to fight the fat' game, you'll want to join The Order.

/co/ has a smaller userbase than /v/ so anons are better at spotting bait or falseflags and can usually recognize schizos or trolls, but has a massive stick lodged up it’s ass due to starting these tournaments in the first place coupled with it knowing it’s one of the less retarded boards on the site.

/v/ can have fun more often and is significantly less prone to throwing hissy fits or temper tantrums over something going wrong in the tournament since it doesn’t take things as seriously as /co/, but due to having such a massive userbase it also has a lot of morons who can’t spot schizos or trolls and is thus prone to getting derailed by dumb shit that /co/ can spot without much trouble.

Neither board is nearly as great as people would want you to believe and neither has a definitive advantage over the other in these tournaments.

Why won't you denounce armored core" or "Ericatranny, you lost".
Right now the schizo vs not-schizo argument on /tnt/ is getting REALLY stupid, personally I just think it's going to get dull having the same thing over and over again but you're starting to see people treat some swmi-faggy roleplay like it's literally satan when at least Garland and Grimm probably would've won without it. He's a pretty niche character with a cult board following in the tournament with possibly the strongest silent majority and four of his matches last year so happened to fit with the schizo alliance. I'm not saying it's impossible he could have won without the schizos, but it's far less likely.

What I meant at the time was Grimm having so many schizo based matches like facing Jacket and Scout, though Scout was not initially a schizo and was going through a whole arc all year. I was actually thinking of the John Ward match as the fourth I mentioned, but that's a bit of a stretch. I kind of felt like Grimm's bracket pandered towards the schizo alliance.

Just finished it, shockingly good. I liked it a lot. I appreciate that even though Milo was the nerd, he was CAPABLE and driven even in the beginning. He wasn't the typical puss in lucky circumstances that grows. He had a form of unconventional strength from the very beginning, and merely learns how to use it. I love how the characters were drawn, especially Milo and the turkish demolition guy. They were given really fun head shapes. The scene of Kida having an invisible orb breaking the water was really incredible.
And wow, it really feels like a different era that a kid's animated movie could have characters graphically die (The hot luietenant just sits on the groubd paralyzed after falling, damn) bleed, and smoke cigarettes. And as late as 2001, I can't remember anything coming out afterward with mainstream attention with as much "grit" to it, except maybe a couple of dreamworks films like Shrek or Puss in Boots 2.

It's all true, and there's so much more Battersea didn't mention.

It is an actual case of study on how fucking much this tourney fell from the original inception.

The previous year, all of the Elite Eight had strong and compelling arguments to be solid winners. The tournaments main selling point was how chill and comfy it was with some sprinkling of OC and friendly banter. It had a lot of rivalries and interactions and overall it was a genuinely nice tourney to be a part of.

This one however, just went to the shitters. No OC, constant drama, DBSfags being retarded, the threads had no discussions, everyone was aggressive and non-friendly. To top it off, there 2 to 3 elite eight picks which had a compelling argument to be solid winners. Of which the bumblebee wasn’t.

Alright. I’ll list every opinion I have for the elite eight members and you be the judge of who I consider worthy of the crown.
>BumbleBee
Very underwhelming and very clearly supported by no actual bug fans but bugfuckers. Most of the points made for why it needs to win were covered by bees and other animals.
>Chicken
Cool animals but not even E8 material. They’re literally meme-tier when it comes to how well they compare to other animals. You could say something for roosters but I legitimately cannot take an animal seriously when they’re mass harvested and eat them for lunch.
>Rhino Beetle
It is a dueling beetle. That’s it.
It should’ve been on the same league as the stag beetle but how it went to the semi-finals I have no idea.
>Rat
They’re cool as pets but their wild counterparts should be fucking exterminated.
They’re pests to us and the environment. They are singlehandedly responsible for the black death and the extinction and endangerment of many other cooler and awesome animals. Their pet counterparts really make us forget just how much of a turmoil and pest they are to life in general.
>Komodo Dragon
In my opinion, a solid candidate for the crown. The largest lizard and the closest thing to a living dinosaur. It has venom glands to subdue prey and their actually very smart for reptiles.
>King Cobra
Also a solid animal for the crown. Aside from the name, it isn’t an actual cobra but still it convergently evolved traits found in the actual cobras and they’re awesome as fuck.
>Angler Fish
They’re rad animals from the deep sea and use their bioluminescent appendage to hunt for prey. Pretty solid E8, but not a crown holder in my opinion.
>Tiger
Probably the animal that deserved the crown in this E8.

Komodo was ok too but I wish it got more posting. Everything else I pretty much agree with. It was really bizarre how people in the threads suddenly got a hard-on for chickens and bees. Or maybe it was just one person samefagging, at this point I don't even know.

I personally still think the "rigging" hoopla is a croc of shit by someone trying to force another thread meltdown but no matter the outcome, the damage has already been done and everyone is fighting with eachother partly because of my actions.
I came into the /an/lympics 2024 excited to give some love to a tournament that I felt was underrated and I came out of it with nothing but potentially killing any chance at more instalments and I'm not sure how to feel about it all.

They pollinate more flowers than Honey Bees, and pollinate more in general. The only thing Honey Bees have over the Bumble Bees in their domestication for their honey and wax.

I think both the NSA revelation and the Black Souls discord discovery REALLY has a lot of more "serious" tourney fags on edge. And it makes sense, if so few were responsible for so much, who or what else could be responsible for happenings?
Funnily enough there was a tournament thread on /co/ recently that was actually pretty good up until it got linked in a /tnt/ thread, then it went to chaos. Then it turned into arguing and autism. So either we have rampant trolls that largely hang out here that shit up main site discussion when they get word of things, /tnt/ is getting way too autistic, or both (it's probably both)
Personally I've kindof just trying to give up on caring anymore considering my favorites are king /v/ which is just fucked now. But I'm also bored and so I want to witness this madness.

Well certainly SOMETHING is.
A factor could be just how much worse the main site has gotten with rampant janny abuse, off-topic shit plaguing boards (especially /v/) and an unspoken but ever-present "No OC threads allowed, unless it's contained to the board-designated drawthread" rule that's been especially obnoxious lately. Even with the bullshit tournament threads are easily the funnest things on /co/ and /v/. So people are going to come here to talk about something actually fun, but talking about the same damn thing over and over again can lead to general schizophrenia. I admit I'm not much better, I'm coming here out of boredom at times as well not to troll but just to see what's up.

Tourney's becoming their own meta space is mostly the problem. /an/ demonstrated pretty well how you have a "pure" beginning but then contextualization both to its own past and the wider history and memetics of tourneys happens and once in the tourney meta vortex its no longer about pure fun but has gotta be approached like a tourney-tourney. Hence the shit about which animal is winning for meta, rigging, off-topic tourneyfag posting, having "historical" moments of three ways and four ways, and general new drama.

Well shit look at the Eggman vs Grimm finales, that final really didn't have nearly as much to do with Eggman or Grimm as it should. A lot of it was either "Holy shit Eggman's a finalist twice, we gotta get him to win" and "Holy shit the other RPGmaker schizo guy can win" And most of it was the Battler discord going wild over crown steal. Same thing where people were losing their minds over that (innocent) Jetstream Sam post, almost no discussion if Wario or Alex is better or Eggman or Geralt is better. Just "Powerhouse vs Underdog", "Meta", "Implied matchup", "Hype" etc. Meaningless bullshit that has nothing to do with the source material.
It had good intentions at first but I think ironically the Elite 8 ban had a serious unintended consequence of the tournaments no longer being self-contained, but referential to something else. Because now if someone new says, "Well hey, Samurai Jack is pretty popular why can't I vote for him" you have to point out he was 3rd in 2023, which means they gotta look at what happened in 2023, and possibly the other years he was elite 8 but didn't win, which then makes you think of the character in a context of "history" and "should win", not "current performance" or "want to win".

All true but I think meta encroachment is happening regardless of something E8 ban's existence. It's like the natural development of recurring years, though exacerbated by things like certain rules, returning tourney autist anons, and /tnt/'s existence. It's not something that could ever be stopped, just mitigated and bickered over endlessly.
There seem to be a period of two "pure" enough years, and then the third year of a tourney, with a returning E8 (powerhouses) and established customs that significantly more focus starts to be paid to the tourney in itself. 2021 was kind of the point of no return on this for both boards, not making any statement on how good or quality those winners were.

I think /co/ would've agreeably been down for a crown steal round at the time. Whether it works would probably come down to if riggers and brigaders actually stick around for the extra round.
Of course there's a chance the crown steal opponent would've just turned out to be Peridot.

I don't get why GETfags these days seem to settle for the most bare minimum "GETs" possible, there is nothing impressive about saying "check this 5" and failing 15 times in a row until you eventually get it. Did dubs fall out of favor with Shitposters or something? Because at least it's cool when Optimus would score dubs and trips, or even better Tom scoring quads and quints

As a Lawfag myself I will be rooting for YHVH to get in this year, but I also hope Walter can make it in since he'd be a good chaosfag to have while Demi-Fiend is out, plus if we had all three we'd have one Law, Chaos, and Neutral (Jack Frost) rep which would be fun.

1 is very tempting. My mains are kind of unorthodox and totally unexpected so it'd probably be a lot of controversy though. The option for going maximum chaosfag and picking something propane for ms. or Bridget for king though.
2 is for spiteful giga-austists. You could maybe make a case some certain three characters getting removed would make tourneys better though.
3 is probably the safest altruistic option.
4 could be the best option in the long run but may raise new problems with anonymity and host power.
5 is the closes to 3 for best choice imo cause there'd finally be an official /a/ or /tv/.

>S
Co-op 2024 (Had a solid E8, A LOT of OC and campaigning, probably the best thematic winners of the year)

>A
Tag-Team 2023 (2024*) (Returned TTT to its former glory, had a decent amount of OC and a lot of campaigning. The winners were KINO)

>B
[empty]

>C
/cov/ (Had a very good start but started to lose steam and cause drama around the third round. Winners were very nice)

colors tournament (Just a test tournament but there was quite the fun to be had and quite the OC's to be made. The winner is literally the color that's given to every winner)

>D
[empty]

>F
/an/lympics 2024 (Was worse than the previous edition in every capacity possible. Not only that, but it lost its charm of being a slow and comfy tournament, not being filled with doomfags and dramafags. Bumblebees are very underwhelming and questioned. Rigging was a massive issue too)

/an/ is what happens when you let them in like you have. No tournament is going smoothly this year. Good question. Doomguy and Doomslayer WERE seemingly meant to be the same guy, at least as far as 2016 went because it obviously took place after 64 where Doomguy stayed in hell after 64's ending. But then Eternal retcons stuff from 2016 (Sam Hayden is no longer a human in a robo-skeleton but was always an angel, so I guess the photos we saw of human Samuel just didn't exist?). There might be something else that made it incompatible with the classic games, I didn't pay too much attention to Eternal's lore because it was really stupid. I'm pretty sure the Doom 3 marine is explicitly NOT the same guy, it has to take place in a completely different continuity and as far as I'm aware Doom doesn't reincarnate the same human soul over and over again like in Zelda.
And only Nightshift thought X and Rock were the same dude, real way to expose a host that doesn't play much vidya

You're correct. After the events of 64, doomguy would spend a long time fighting demons in hell until he was discovered by the night sentinels.
>(Sam Hayden is no longer a human in a robo-skeleton but was always an angel, so I guess the photos we saw of human Samuel just didn't exist?)
There were some retarded hint about this in 2016. In the slayer's testament it speak of a seraphim that blessed doomguy with a lot of power (Apparently that power came from the dark lord itself). it was a mystery for a while as to who the seraphim was until Doom Eternal TAG1 confirmed it was Samael Hayden.
>I didn't pay too much attention to Eternal's lore because it was really stupid.
You shouldn't. It's really fucking stupid and feels like it was a bunch of ideas Hugo had, put them into a blender and used that for the lore.
>I'm pretty sure the Doom 3 marine is explicitly NOT the same guy
You're correct. The two are sperate characters. The only connection Doom 3 has with the other Doom games is a soul cube easter egg in 2016. So Doomguy and the Doom marine can be nominated as separate characters.

That's because there was suppose to be a comic that would explain what happened in-between 2016 and eternal.
But it got cancelled.

>Bumblebees against Chickens was 56.3% out of 87 voters
>Kenshiro against Piccolo was 62.7% out of 59 voters
>Giant Localizers vs. Irate Neighbors was 62.8% out of 76 voters
>Dastardly Duo vs. The Mutineers was 66.3% out of 83 voters
>Knockout Kings against Partners in Crime was 77% out of 87 voters

>Colors was weird due to its smaller voter base and experimental three-way finale, but Gold managed to win with 52.2% for Gold against Lime Green (34.8%) and Prussian Blue (13%)

That Knockout Kings win is still insane even in a year with higher win margins overall.

There's a Harlan Ellison interview about the game adaptation, kinteresting thing is he sees it more as a way to flesh out the human characters and expand their stories, not so much AM. It could be interpreted differently by players, this is just what the author talks about. And OJ simpson, for some reason.

No it isn’t the same Geralt either.
Believe it or not, even taking license and canonicity aside, Geralt as a character has more differences than similarities from the book and game. One big example is how Geralt is absolutely abhorrent to look at, seeming like a walking corpse. In the games he’s quite handsome and grows a beard, which in the books he hated. He isn’t as powerful and gets folded easily if he’s not prepared while in the games he kills some of the most powerful beasts on the continent without much trouble. He straight up fucking dies in the books while in the game he is revived and lives again.
There’s a lot of other plot point and characteristics that differ the mediums but as the author said, the games are more so a different retelling of the world he’s already built.

Besides, why all this arguing. The Witcher 3 is very well established as a game with a massive impact on the gaming industry.

You'd have a point if Witcher games were a 1:1 adaptation of the books but they're not. They're a completely new story-telling of a setting that was established by the books. There's many characters in Witcher games that are completely original and interact with Geralt. There's only a few characters and places that are brought up again in the games, literally most of the things are new.

Geralt, much like any other adaption, is simply a new spin on a character with an established story. Geralt in the books is a different Geralt in the games. Learn the difference.

Because there are so many licensed video games the moment you open that can of worms more characters would be allowed than /co/, /a/, and /tv/ combined. The yearly "Exceptions" /v/ gets are always "we cried/begged/memed louder" and are never based on the concrete, objective definition of "It debuted in a video game that was meant to be a video game from the outset". Unironically Spinel deserves the asterix less than Wuya or that one gypsy from Courage who put Fang in and screwed over Chel.

Spinel was actually legitimately popular on /co/ at the time. She got Top 3 legitimately.(people have run the numbers, the only two matchups she would have lost without Peru were Raven and Frankie, with Raven almost certainely winning the 1v1). So only Raven and Frankie really got screwed over, everyone else in the E8 or her earlier opponents lost fair and square.

Meanwhile Shirley and the associated furries also being rigged for knocked out over a dozen characters who otherwise would have gotten in. Shirley directly ruined like a dozen other characters and the other riggings and knock on effects(destroying all trust in the tournament, prompting Temp to violently Temp all over the place) screwed over dozens more. Everyone she touched, and honestly everyone period Round 4 onward was robbed. Even Fang was robbed of a clean win she probably deserved because Shirley neutered all the competition and then got outed.

Wuya is less bad in that she had some legit support, but worse in that she won and that it wasn't caught until after when the Emails leaked. Raven and Toph specifically got screwed over the hardest, but everyone R3 on who fought her was robbed.

Also Spinel kept getting dubs and trips post match. Like, sign from the gods tier

Some people have also applied this to Johnny in Year 1(which, I will admit Captain America was the single worst rig prior to Shirley and Wuya), but Year 1 is special in that there was zero meta. It was a pure popularity contest. We can just compare the numbers 1-1. Johnny would have beaten Samurai Jack 54-46 or 53-47.

Jack was absolutely robbed of a E8 spot and 2nd Place, but Johnny won fair and square that year.

I'm still really curious what even happened with the furry rigging. Nobody's ever come clean on being behind it all, and why would they? The most obvious answer would be that whoever rigged for Shirley happened to vote for all the furries out of personal taste, though this does seem uncertain. Most unfortunate case would be Brisby being the initial instigator, but I'm skeptical of that one off her sheer amount of genuine support. There was some concern around the Alice round at the very start, but it's hard to correlate that directly with what went down later. I also forget the exact data that NSA shared on that specific match. Could have been a later observation or something of that nature to try expanding on the rigging concerns. The last E8 furry of that year might be the most interesting: NSA went out of her way to explain Nicole as an "innocent victim" of the rigging incident that happened earlier in the tournament.

If I had to throw one wild idea out there, maybe Gadget was a magnet for troublet? She was claimed to have been rigged that one round by NSA alongside the others, though happened to be the only one that lost in Round 3 after facing Fang during it. Actually, thinking on it, maybe that's part of the reason Fang wouldn't have been touched despite being loosely related to the furries. (Karen was also allegedly in the rigged bunch despite being a sentient computer.) I say this because she was a huge magnet for attention that year off the bugging incident from the Rescue Rangers movie. This is heavy on the speculation and certainly a more out there idea, but wanted to bring it up with it on my mind right now.

No matter what happened, best we can hope is that it was indeed mainly an one-off incident. Might have just been one or two obsessed furries who just happened to roll in that year. I'm not going to hold it against of the affected characters off one dubious incident at least, minus Shirley for obvious reasons. It was incredibly unfortunate and tanked what was up until then a solid tournament, but that might as well be the typical luck with Ms. /co/. On a separate note, do agree that Shirley in particular did cause a bad ripple effect that was felt for over a year afterwards.

I would argue that she might have gotten off easier if she had still lost somewhere else in the last three rounds, but the fact she won changed the whole situation. I do agree that she's been somewhat misrepresented in the following years off what happened, but that line is worth pointing out.

>Wuya is less bad in that she had some legit support, but worse in that she won and that it wasn't caught until after when the Emails leaked.
Did I miss something? I know Wuya is in a rough spot for obvious reasons, but I don't recall any specific evidence of her being rigged coming out.

The situation with Wuya is less about evidence and more about what specific evidence NSA took to destroying.
We know NSA was the main Wuya supporter and also helped Eris on occasion. We know Wuya normally was an early tournament loser who had never made it past R3. We know NSA refused to release any documents that year. We know that year had by far the lowest vote totals since 2018, massive plummet.

I’m convinced that NSA rigged the vote both by artificially jacking up Wuya’s presence with his OC alts(when he was supposed to be certifying votes) and then deleted hundreds of votes against her and his other handful of fav girls to swing the election. That would explain the massive drop off.

And this has been done before, see Reagan Ridley.

Toph was seemingly the legitimate winner, with Raven being the legitimate runner up. Eris was also artificially jacked up, but it’s probably more akin to the Spinel situation, just one or two E8 girls got screwed over, she got to the E8 fairly. I am glad NSA ultimately picked Wuya because Eris had legitimate fans who would never want a fake win.

I’ll also note that between being screwed out of winning by Spinel in 2019, being screwed out of the Top 8 by a confirmed rigged furry in 2022, and being screwed out of the Top 2 by Eris and Wuya in 2023, Raven is probably the most fucked over Ms. /co/ girl. (Not even mentioning how in 2018 she had the misfortune of meeting the eventual winner early and in 2021 she got screwed over by FARTS posting)

(So yeah, Wuya and Shirley are the two most destructive riggings in the tournaments history. NSA directly did the former and he helped cover up the latter instead of fixing it in the Top 16 like the entire thread was begging and just citing ‘muh mods muh time limit’ whenever people complained even though it turned out he was wasting time posting on his alts)

Captain America was 3rd, same modus opperandi as Wuya. But one, he lost. And two, that was so early there weren’t the massive meta knock on effects you have nowadays, we can just directly scale performance to predict what would have happened. Based on JJJ scaling we know the final winner would be the same.

JJJ is an extremely strong contender. Both Johnny Bravo and Samurai Jack beat him. Johnny did it by a couple extra points though while Jack skirted by on a knives edge. Jack was absolutely robbed of a higher spot, most probably second place, but Johnny won fair and square.

Since The Killing Joke original script is available online, rumors about it are somewhat easier to dispel than many other stories.

https://www.tumblr.com/killingjokescript

As far as I saw, the script describing the actual pages of Barbara getting shot never mentions rape, neither do the future pages. Joker did sexually harass her by taking naked photos of her while she was crippled at the very least, and you could speculate on what is implied by that, but there's nothing explicit. And Moore is usually pretty explicit about rape in his stories.

(similarly, the "Batman kills Joker in the end" rumor can also be dispelled because the last pages of the script don't mention anything like that)

Alright, but that's purely speculation. Susie was at no point branded as a rigger by NSA, and had a relatively weak bracket to justify her getting top 16 (compare to how she managed against Tyr'ahnee in that last round). Besides, in a scenario like this the entire bracket ends up being affected.
The fact she couldn't qualify the following year should be surprising because from the point of view of a tourney-goer, more people would have a reason to vote for her at that time. It's been proven that contestants, even those who first qualify as three-digit seeds, will rank higher in consecutive tournaments when they are successfully given more exposure in a previous year. It's actually a very common pattern seen in champions and elite eight alike.

Which is why a consistent qualifier since 2018 suddenly dropping out after a good year doesn't feel right. Susie is not even the only example of this, Captain Amelia also failed to qualify last year despite being in good graces after the chaos that was 2022.

Like, what exactly do you think could have gone down here? Were they actually being rigged and NSA disallowed them from further participating? NSA being trigger-happy and deleting too many false positives, like with JJJ in Mr. /co/? Underhanded sabotage? Maybe it's also worth pointing out Wuya went from seed 117 to 26 in a matter of a year despite having no presence to speak of during the 2022 season.
No.138049

>>138038
Well the big issue with the votes is that the drop-off could be explained in part by people turned off by the required emails, on top of a general decrease in voters last year. It would be a clever cover-up, but it could also just be the primary reasoning behind last year's results. Problem with Wuya is that a lot of her run did seem clean surprisingly, even if she had secretly been the host's pet all along. Can't count out the possibility of Wuya being rigged, but there's just no solid proof of it. I still think people did legitimately vote for the Eris vs. Wuya finale off their campaigns, not prepping for any consequences off of that. I do agree it should have just been Raven vs. Toph, but hindsight is 20/20.

>And this has been done before, see Reagan Ridley.
Assume you mean against Reagan, right? Almost all of that year's Elite Eight was being rigged for by Numnuts, not just the one against Cognito.

>Raven is probably the most fucked over Ms. /co/ girl
I don't think this is much of a question.

>being screwed out of the Top 8 by a confirmed rigged furry in 2022

>>138045
>Maybe it's also worth pointing out Wuya went from seed 117 to 26 in a matter of a year despite having no presence to speak of during the 2022 season
This is the best piece of evidence in favor of Wuya possibly being rigged, although those qualifier results in general felt almost like a clear outlier in terms of being incredibly suspicious.

Tiff Crust finally broke the Qualifier curse last year, and the other two, XJ6 and Cheesecake Saint Cherrywell, have never got to R1.

Susie outpreforming the others in the literal 'can't quite make R1' club is odd, but she didn't get quite far enough for it to be too concerning. If it was rigging it was a soft rig that couldn't overpower a big lose.

The issue is with a host, unless you can break them, there never will be. They have full and total control of the paper trail, there isn't going to be a smoking Peruanon for Basil to sniff out.

Tourney broke in 2018 because everyone knew and eventually bullied him into half admitting. Numnuts gave it up because he's a Bipolar Borderline Schizo, Domino has loose lips, and unironically Temp poked him a lot.

NSA won't crack on this specific issue, and if she never spilled the beans we'll never have hard proof. So we just have to look at the info we do have and the info that was suddenly absent.

All of which points to NSA rigging it for Wuya. Evidence being selectively deleted in this way is evidence in itself, SilkAir Theorem.
And there is circumstancial evidence to back it up to. If you're only going to be convinced with hard proof NSA has probably deleted it all, so unless you can bully a confession out of the twat it's never going to happen.

If you want actual hard proof, pressure NSA hard.
2018's host corruption got revealed because the entire thread started calling it rigged and he eventually got caught in a half life trying to say he was 'adjusting the votes' and 'removing duplicates' before contradicting himself and eventually fleeing.

The Tag Team Corruption got solved because Numnuts is legitimately fucking unwell and he told someone else, combined with Temp's specific brand of autism happening to tick off his specific brand of schizo(albeit Temp apparently went fucking insane afterwards with his fear of riggers and purity, they both destroyed eachother that week)

I want to note Cap Rigger's initial excuse was basically the same as NSA's, NSA just got more benefit of the doubt in the Post-Spinel world.

We came pretty damn close to doing both during 2022, but the threads were just a bit too disorganized, falseflags happened, and then Temp stepped in and unlike with Numnuts made things worse since by this point people were sick of him.

NSA also used the threat of the 'time limit' and 'geee i really WISH i could let all the people I just said got rigged out continue, but that would like, totally take too long, and then the Jaaaaanitors will totally like, shut down our tournament guys. Guess we'll have to live with it, teehee".

This is a provable lie as we have documented proof NSA was spending time when she claimed to be working on polls or checking data actually making OC or posting in the threads under alts. NSA was lying here, she had more than enough time to quickly fix a half finished poll since she apparently knew EXACTLY who had been rigged out. Stats literally did this same thing in 2020 and it took him like 25 minutes to fix, NSA was an hour early for the 24 mark and didn't budge.

I repeat, NSA knew who had been rigged out, knew who the legit winners were, refused to do anything passing the buck on the time limit and 'janny threat', which has since been proven to be a lie as she was actually wasting most of the poll time posting in the threads under alts, AND in 2023 due to this NSA had several threads go HOURS over 24h line with zero consequences.

So both sides of that were a lie. NSA at best knew with plenty of time and didn't care...and at worst knew with plenty of time because she was the one doing the rigging or leading it.

2022 needs to be looked over with a fine toothed comb, NSA was sloppy and the fact Temp was trying to issue a coup served as an excellent scapegoat at the time.

I'm starting to wonder about who made all those doomer posts about how trying to redo the results or abandon NSA would 'destroy all tournaments' and how we needed to calm down and get in line.

Temp wanted people to rally around HIM and toss out the rigged results, he doesn't benefit. Numnuts was banned at the time, it wasn't him. Fusefag has a life ban and this isn't his MO, not him either.

Who, I tell you, benefits from stoking the flames of a different crisis to distact people from the openly admitted rigging. Who benefting from telling everyone trying to pull away from NSA would end the tournaments? Who benefits from scaring people and causing a rally around the flag effect? Who had the most to gain?

/co/ alliances tend to be properties that happen to have campaigner fan overlap, like Dale and Xavier or Brisby and Fang and are pretty small. /v/ alliances are more like a form of tribefagging, where it doesn't need to be especially thematic or sensible (seriously what the fuck is the schizo alliance) you just gotta appeal to an in-group. Only /co/ alliance that has any real autism behind it is the plunderers, and that was only a few characters not a gigantic collage

Well that’s something that differs /co/ from /v/.
You throw shit at /co/ it’ll eventually fall. You throw shit at /v/ and it’ll get stuck there forever. /co/ alliances really never last that long nor do they have any lasting presence. There’s the plunderers of course, but they’re ironically kept alive by people who despise them. Plunderers haven’t been thing for a good while and they’re minuscule to form a proper alliance

/v/ alliances have been established years ago and they literally never get over it. Schizo alliance doesn’t have schizophrenic members but psychotic fans instead, they never shut up and it will always be a huge factor despite their purpose and reason for existing being long overdue done. It has come to a point some /v/fags unironically think that the plunderers are the same thing to the schizo’s (*cough* Dr. Livesey *cough*) despite their creation and purpose being totally different.

/co/ has a significantly harsher climate of spite and bueno and blowback than /v/. Partially this is in General true, and partially the tournament culture specifically due to shit like rigging or spammers.

You make an alliance on /co/? High likelyhood people view it as bueno or dumb or unfair and it actively hurts everyone involved. Team F.A.R.T.S. specifically basically killed the idea of a /co/ alliance after it actively dragged the entire team down and cost them all E8 spots.

Try to campaign? People will view you as tryhards or spammers and you'll lose as much support as you gain if not more(though this effect weakens the deeper you go).

That and /co/ has a stronger silent majority(not always a bad thing, they're very good at reducing the impact of spite or falseflag campaigns which /v/ has issues with) so it's harder to form a solid block that actually does anything, that and just lower trust in general. Even the most successful /co/ alliances struggled to get more than 5% on board and simply weren't capable of effecting matchups.

Unironically Teen Qualifier Squad's raw percentages probably look better since none of the 4 are heavy hitters and prior to last year two of them had never even qualfiied. (One still hasn't). and the third one hasn't had a good year in years. Less people generally means more campaigners and more trust at the cost of less raw output and more vulnerable to falseflags or rigging.

To be honest, they really haven’t been a proper alliance for two years almost. Zorak won, Ruber hasn’t qualified, Silver is trying his own thing. The only noteworthy thing to come outta plunderers is Ruber and Silver getting second place in villains and /cov/ respectively, each reached that point independently without really campaigning or helping each other.

Tag-Team has also seen them have mixed results and the plunderers fad whittling down, they seem very odd to make a duo.

I view it more as the alliance of girls who cannot do consistently well. They all get a ton of support early on, but struggle to break to R1 most years. All of them have had years where they fail to break 128 despite a strong qualifier.

Susie is the most consistently well performing and even she had a year or two ago where she was #1 Art in the qualifier and then didn’t get in. XJ6 keeps losing in R1. Tiff Crust used to struggle in qualifiers or swap R1 with Brit, though she finally got her break last year. Cheesecake’s had the most recent strong qualifier showing(leading in OC output last year), but still hasn’t broken the 128 line yet.

It’s essentially the “Dedicated fanbases that AREN’T buenoy squad” (hence no Jackie). Waiting for the chance.

Also they’re all Teen Girls. That’s a thing. That’s the basis of the alliance

The originall /co/nquerors were a pretty sizeable collage. Pic related isn't even all the characters that were in on it, it used to have Grievous and Skeletor too. But besides Plunderers it wasn't really a focused effort like the Schizos. For instance I don't think a single Skeletor campaigner though to be fair there wasn't many of them, but we're not ready for this conversation even brought up or remembered him being in /co/nquerors as any kind of reason to vote for him.

I like the idea that XJ6 is the old blood girl in the back that the young new class is constantly ignoring. She's technically the oldest of the lot (XJ6 was made a decade before Jenny making her 15-16, Tiff is 14-15 and Susie is 11-12, she's tied with Cheesecake who's also 16) and she got in the position of 'strong start, flops quickly' way back in 2019-2020 as a sort of Jenny-lite(resembling her the closest of all the other XJ's, seeing as 1-5 were just proto-types, 7 is short and depressed, and 8 is a tomboy meathead).

XJ6's been jobbing it for 5 years, but these outshots who have been qualifier stars for like, 2 and a half years suddenly run the show? (3 in Susies case, though her qualifier stuck status is moreso a 2022-2023 thing as she, along with Tiff and Cheesecake dominated OC). That's gotta suck

Susie, Cheesecake, and Tiff all have a really specific connection of being the Top 3 OC makers in 2022 and 2023 (the Qualifiers had a massive OC drop-off after the bracketing changes so just girls on the fringes pushed hard). Both years these 3 were the top OC makers, just in a different order. (Susie, Cheesecake, Tiff in 2022, Cheesecake, Tiff, Susie in 2023). That plus them all being Teen Girls gave them a sort of commodory, especially as two of them hadn't gotten in yet and Susie's best years were behind her and she's struggled to get in the last year.

XJ-6 is sort of the odd-one who was shoe-horned in to complete the set of 4. She was the qualifier queen in 2019 and did really well early on in 2020 and 2021 before jobbing, but she fell off hard after that. Sort of the ignored old one of the group. She isn't part of a temporal trio the way the other 3 are, she just happens to be another Teen Girl who had a similar issue in qualifiers a couple years prior.

>Ms.
Going to give a separate answer and say Tyr'ahnee. She's just a really safe bet, and unlike Chel she doesn't suffer from a more silent reception. Could go either way with Brisby and ENA, so neither are really worth answering over the other two.
>Mr.
Got to say Carl. He was always a powerhouse being delayed from elite status, and I'd argue he's just a really agreeable favorite. Daffy is a good alternate answer, but I'd still lean on Carl with the general attitude I've seen as of late.
>Queen
Going to go with the simple answer of either GLaDOS or Maya Fey, though I'm leaning more on the latter. She seems like a very agreeable pick, so could see her coasting back in. Would have been Hornet, but Silksong's silence is hard to ignore. Will give a mention to Alipheese having a chance off her goodwill last time, but I can't count as safely on that.
>King
Travis, followed closely by Phoenix. Don't have to elaborate on this one.

Lowest:
>Ms.
Shirley was already likely to be an one-hit wonder, but the whole incident with her sealed her fate.
>Mr.
I can see almost any of the guys coming back again. Max is the exception much as I like him. He already felt like a fun breakout last time, so I'd be surprised if he can pull off another elite run.
>Queen
I have to agree on Ranni. FromSoft picks already feel like midcarders most of the time, and I don't feel confident in Ranni becoming an occurring elite.

Not because he doesn't deserve it, but there are like 50 others who also deserve it, and without the added baggage of being a finalist. I think the curse will have to be broken with Ms., which will open the floodgates like what happened after Fang broke the E8 curse. It's most likely a Grandfather Clause gets adopted. It immediately disqualifies anyone who never actually qualified off the whitelist, which already cuts out some of the worse picks from it. He is indeed a weird case even if you were cutting down on real people, since he is a clearly separate persona from James most of the time. Still, even then it's only one odd pick sticking around. Could see him simply falling out of attention as well if he pulls off another weak performance like last year's tournament. Tony Hawk and Mike Tyson would also be allowed in if there's no other rules to exempt them, but they didn't come back a second time just off the old ruleset.

Either way, I think it would be foolish to remove a few worthwhile edge cases just to keep the Nerd out. Seems best to either just address him directly or simply bite the bullet here.

Also very strong, and the finals jobbing stigma will probably be forgotten by King 2025. I also think that the rigging shitshow is overblown, and worst case scenario is that John actually won the semi finals. Yes I am buttblasted since I was campaigning for Grimm since round 1.

Eggman is a weird case where he could easily come back just as strong as ever, but he could also just end up being remarked as a case of "he should have won in 2021 (or 2023)" more than anything. If he's going to actually win, he has to go even more unprecedented and make finals a third time. I do think he'd have very high odds of finally winning if it happened, but the road to get there is another matter.

You can't perfectly line up this stuff, but if he DID narrowly miss Elite Eight next year then Eggman would possibly be the most poetic year eight winner for King.

>this is the tale of an autist that loved nothing other then the Dreamworks animated movie Sharktale, this poster used to make constant threads about this film analysing every little detail in a thread all to himself, he seen the film as something greater then animation but a blessing from God himself, he loved the film so much that he'd analyse every other Dreamworks film just so show how those films were worse then Sharktale, invading the threads for those films to prove the superiority of Sharktale, but tragically that aspect of him would soon take over as he drifted further and further away from the film he once worshipped and became nothing more then a hollow husk that analysed Dreamworks films to tell you how shit they are but without the golden light of Will Smith fish to compare them to, some posters attempted to mimic him but they lacked the passion this autist once had in his life that he soon lost
>birchy's boogeyman
