I only campaigned for one team as my golden goose but left the others in the dust as silent ones and nominated some jokes here and there. I don't think I have the same capacity as others to do that good.

Decided to do a CPU match between these two for fun. It only makes sense given the finals.

Truth be told I'm glad Knockout Kings won because I'm tired from campaigning this whole week and Elite Eight is more than fine with me. I'm glad Dracula has a more positive reception now after people really didn't like him in /v/illains.

This is it, Mac baby, this is it! We have reached the final round in the co-op tournament! Remember, if you lose this round, you won’t be able to compete in the tournament until two years later, so give it your all like it’s your last match! The last match against the Count was way too close for comfort, so keep yourself on your toes and focus all your efforts on the fight. I emphasize that specifically because your final opponents won’t go down that easy, as they’ve reached the #1 seed in the qualifiers, and they are quite the tricksters seeing how they made it all the way here.

These two troublemakers are an enigma wherever they go, and wherever they go, you’d smell a trail of garlic and eggplants. Wario is a sucka of many talents, stemming from a claim that says he was a childhood friend of your old referee who would always one-up him. When he’s not clogging the toilet, this chump spends most of his time hunting for treasure to satisfy his greed and would often run his own video game company without paying any workers a dime. What happened to his training regimen, Mac? This cat was living in a castle while fighting monsters while having superhuman strength and now he’s stuck to living in the city while he gets beaten by a little girl! I guess that’s what happens when you choose the path of garlic over chocolate, ha ha ha! His number two (no pun intended) Waluigi is even more mysterious, other than the fact that he loves sporting events, crashing parties, and has a nasty scowl on his face. Say, Mac, do you think he might be jealous that you got the invitation for Smash? If I were that party pooper, I’d drop that tennis racket and start a new leaf somewhere else; he clearly ain’t cut to fight in the big leagues. Ha ha ha!

You’ve overcome many obstacles over this tournament, son, and fought off against all sorts of villains that this tournament has to offer. You’ve conquered kings, gamblers, sorcerers, scientists, floating hands, Death himself, the Count, site downtimes, and raiders. Everything you’ve done all leads up to this, and you gotta keep aiming for the top! Don’t let these jokers swipe your title! Knock them out with a Star Punch and prove you’re the Super Star in the ring! You didn’t make it this far on luck alone, Mac, but with courage and heart! It’s time to take your place in history!

I meant to make a video for Qualifiers of Snake and Raiden beating the shit out of the Red Mist in LobCorp, but I got lazy and didn't end up making it. In hindsight, it was probably good they didn't qualify because I'm tired of campaigning and might end up sitting out /cov/ because of it.

Who are you voting to take the crown this year, and why?

For me, it’s the Knockout Kings. Similar to how I’ve voted for the Giant Localizers in Tag-Team, Little Mac and Doc Louis at this point have proven to work extremely well as a duo, having a hype run and bracket aside. While there are a multitude of reasons that I can provide in my case, a good portion of it has to do with the fact that the two are able to cover for each other’s weaknesses for when they work solo. Mac is too quiet similar to his games? Doc can provide witty tips and information about his opponents to him. Doc doesn’t show much physical action like in his games? Mac is there to dish out the punches. Don’t get me wrong, Wario and Waluigi are cool, but they can do well in other tourneys on their own merits (particularly the former in King of /v/) and are great characters in the Mario games individually, compared to Mac and Doc who are simply inseparable as a duo. For instance, Punch-Out for the NES and Wii demonstrates that they heavily rely on each other in and out of the boxing ring, and this extends to Super Smash Bros. where Doc is always there in his victory screens. In co-op proper, they perfectly capture the essence of a tag team tournament while remaining true to their source material, and I’m hoping they’ll be the ones to win it all.

Class of 09 campaigner here. Thanks, dude! Campaigning as Nicole and Jecka is honestly so much fun since their don't-give-a-fuck attitude means that their RP can go in any direction because they have little to no morality. I'm definitely nominating them next year and campaigning as them again.

And you better believe it, just the drawings alone took two and a half hours. If this doesn't do it and the finals is where Wario and Waluigi's journey ends, I can at least say in good conscience Punch-Out earned the win against them to be able beat them both fighting.
Really just stoked they're in the upper echelons now of finalist material. I don't recall Wario ever making it past semi-finals or Waluigi the elite 8, both the Super Mario Bros. and Wright and Co are absolutely no jokes of teams to go up against in the elite 8, either.
It's given me a lot of confidence in them, even if they don't win perception has really began to see the strength of them both.

Z: Welcome back to CO-OP 2024! This is it, we are at the Finals of the tournament! Two teams are left standing, two teams that have won six rounds in a row, here fighting for title of... Winners of Co-op 2024, there isn't a name for it, only glory! Let's go over our two- well, four- finalists are, shall we?
B: Yes, our first team are the Partners in Crime, Wario and Waluigi! Like in every sport games they play together, you can't win all of the time and The Super Mario Brothers unfortunately lost this time around. Losing this close to the end must hurt, but I'm sure the brothers will have their revenge in a game of tennis, or whatever else they feel like playing.
Z: They had a good run, but better luck next time. In two years, since the brothers aren't allowed to be together next time, but could still get in separately! Anyway, our second team are the Knockout Kings, Little Mac and Doc Louis! They certainly are deserving of that name, knocking out every single team in their way of the Finals, including Death itself! And also Dracula, defeating him too is no small feat. Unfortunately for the Lords of Chaos, chaos just couldn't beat the sport that is boxing. Not surprising, the sport is very orderly, but can also be quite chaotic!
B: There are two certainties in life, Death and Taxes, but The Knockout Kings only have to worry about the latter. Unlike their opponents, however, who probably commit tax evasion. We'll have to see if the Partners in Crime are able to evade Little Mac's punches better than they can avoid doing their taxes or if the Knockout Kings will finally be knocked out themselves!
Z: The Partners in Crime versus the Knockout Kings, this will be a showdown to remember! Both teams are clearly deserving of the win after getting this far, but only one duo can win the prize!
B: What do the teams get for winning, anyway?
Z: Well, unless you count both members being unable to participate in future installments of the tournament, they only get the satisfaction of winning, there's actually no physical prize for the winners. The teams are aware of this, it was told to them before they registered... I think.
B: Huh, so they're only competing for glory? That shows guts, I like it! To every team who entered, or tried to enter, good on you, I hope we see you next time!
Z: You're making it sound like this is over, Bobby. We still have yet to watch the decisive match of the tournament, so let's get to it!
