Alice and the evil(?) chicken again, did finish it, was one of the most fun things I've drawn and the first 'comic' in eight years or so.
hope it's not too misinterpretable but I tried.
Not much lore to it, but having better treatment for characters is better than BS 'upping the stakes' drama that gets thrown under the bus anyways.
[spoiler]definitely will do such ones again, pic rel took less than two hours to draw and plan in total. As for why the Sentinel acts the way it does, hm, I figured since one let Nori use it as an armrest and Solverhosts were very high-value to JCJ back then, then maybe Sentinels over two decades notice humans are gone and when entering the control room could connect the dots and know Alice was the one using the doors and technically most imoortant one for JCJ now. Even if JCJ is dead and objectives shifted drastically, she's still doing a lot against AS. Wishfull thinking but eh.
Also the final pannel is meant as the Sentinel getting it in its skull and acting doglike or so idk I don't even like dogs but smth had to make do, figured it was easiest[/spoiler]

Thanks bro, it does mean much to hear that, really. Been struggling with failed drawings earlier and had to keep it together to get the two Alicee&anon ones done. Very glad to hear you like them both!
I thought about it, going digital, but I got no money for zhose expensive drawing tablets, and using a mouse I feel like I lose 98% of feel and precision, it's a desaster each time.
Even tho I sometimes wish I had digital (layers, ease of fixing mistakes, unmessy colouring, easy to do experiments, able to cut out and move around, change size etc), I just have way more experience and really prefer working by hand, also way cheaper. Not to mention a pencil can't run out of power~
Sometimes I draw on my phone bzt for now I'll keep paper only.

It's the PGE continuity, after all. My take on the "canonical" conclusion to Negev's arc is still the one I mentioned in >>68300. Negev learns she's also an abomination, despairs at how she was always a monster too and never could have won, asks for Uzi to visit, submits to whatever vile fate she has in store for her for her defiance... and just gets hugged by limbs from her mom's real body, so Uzi can feel her daughter. At that point, it all becomes clear to Negev.
Incidentally, which do you think would work better for the Solver beast Negev becomes: a wolf monster, a la Bloodborne, or a frog monster, a la It's Always Sunny, Frank finds out he's Froggyyoutube thumb ? Or would a mashup of the two be best?

I wouldn't think too hard on the specifics since I doubt Liam did either. I'd probably even say that Uzi herself (and other Solver hosts) is compatible with humans assuming she has those organs. Of course some time passed when we see her in 6 since any possible negative experiences with humans, but she acted pretty measured.
What I mean is, had she felt that humans overall were bad and had would she overall be negative towards them, then she wouldn't have brought up Nori killing them as a bad thing. The way she spoke about it made it sound as if (from Alice's view, she didn't have the entire story of what went on sith Nori exactly/thought Nori had more control than dhe had indeed. Nori likely wasn't excelling in friendliness tho judging from her act in ep6's image) Nori did everything on purpose.
Look at how badly Alice took Uzi biting her finger off, that was clearly malicious and only intended harm, Uzi's laughing at Alice while doing so made that more than obvious. Alice didn't react much but she did not let it slide and went for revenge.
Now going of that character trait, had Alice had felt back then that 'all them folks' were malicious and intentionally causing harm to drones only for the sake of it, then she would have been ambivalent to their demise at least, if not glad about it right?
Instead it seems that, not unlike Yeva, Alice knew either back in CFL already or figured it out during her lonely years in CFL, that whatever humans were doing with or to them in CFL (we know humans generally treated drones badly, but we got no clue what went down in CFL. from what we saw there was no wanton experimenting or even killing of subjects, Alice's head injury being fixed instead of discarding her shows the subjects having enough importance to be treated better in CFL than any WD usually would be. This is ofc not due to the personel's goodness of heart, most likely due to the subjects and project's success being very relevant to humanity) served some purpose.
In any case Alice's experience with humans appears to have been 'good' or neutral enough that she didn't want them all to die, Alice's (extent of it is a bit vague but it is there) knowledge of AS and humanity's overall situation perhaps gave her better understanding of why things were the way they were in CFL.
Even if WDs in general had terrible lifes, Alice was mostly influenced by CFL and either doesn't remember what happened before her first ever 'death' were she became a ZD or she was very lucky humanwise. Or the CFL experience was influental enought to change bad feelings.
Not saying she adores humanity fanatically, but she is not stupid, a human wouldn't have to fear for his life from her.
Also her liking for deer supports a quite developed (dronewise) mind, it can't be used for popularity or anything, seems like she plain took a liking to them (also means she must have seen something about deer somewhere).

All the adults present in the Elliott manor are a part of a cult. Murder Drones is so centered on the outpost and implies so much about the universe at large that it gives off the impression that the outpost is the only place with any population, aside from stragglers in the wastes of Copper-9. The rest of the universe is dead, there's probably no biological life anywhere except dog planet which was mainly a joke, the world is now a bunker of idiot drones who are awful at self-preservation, and their predators who eat them at a seemingly unsustainable rate.
This is because MD's setting exists to tell its story, not be a realistic and believable world. This works for its story but leaves little depth to explore.
So fuck it, use it as a template. If your story has drones and they more or less obey the rules the show laid out (robots full of oil, emotive visors, sexy mouths) it's fine with me. If it takes place in the Outpost, on an undestroyed Earth where DDs still exist, I don't care. Drone.

MD threads are very often plagued by one thing or another that ends up being a large chunk of the thread. I assume this is coming from the same few people because when I get fed up and call it out the reactions are always the same. I complain, a few other people agree, someone screams samefag, someone just swears at us for expressing dissent, someone tries to paint us as irrational. And they always have this air that they have done no wrong and our reaction is unprovoked. Jane isn't as smeared across the thread as she used to but she is a good and enduring example of all this. I suspect the drawfags drawing her because who else would care to defend her.
