v1.0 painting that is third in my apparent series of Holiday Alices. Following Christmas Alice and New Year's Alice comes Fourth of July Alice. Alice wants 'more valuable' disassembly drone parts to upgrade herself, and there's little a DD has that's as valuable as flight. Perfect for increasing the range and decreasing the time needed for resource-gathering trips to the surface, and for using the third dimension to evade Sentinels.
And as Alice prepares to follow in the footsteps of the Wright Brothers (hence the leather flight cap) and take to the skies, she looks at the calendar and notices the date, and what's around her. She had some paint lying around, baseball equipment, Daisy Dukes, a coke, and a pair of Converse sneakers.
Put all that together (and put Beau in a cute bald eagle outfit), and Alice is ready to celebrate the freedom of flight and the freedom of America.

The colony drones generally just seem to care for living drones, once you die, you are forgotten. Doll (and to a lesser degree Uzi and I guess Kahn too) seem to be the only exceptions, but then again Khan might be the oldest drone in the series(J,V and N are likely technically older but not mentally), which explains that behaviour even without being a ZD.
Thad did care for Uzi in the pilot, but looks at 4, nobody, except Uzi's short remark about having killed people, even mentioned the campers again, look at V killing one after getting out of the bus. Honestly, speaking of actual characters, Uzi. I get she's the stories vessel and meant to have flaws yet stay likeable but man... If you wanna tell me Alice and Doll are villains but Uzi is a good guy then that's just not consistent. Initially I didn't mind her that much even, but the more I rewatched, saw her discussed and thought about her, especially how unnecessarily she fucked up in 6 with Alice (in hindsight it was all fucked anyways with Cyn being there all along, doesn't change how it looks isolated tho/what happened in 6 that much), I've slowly come to hate her. And it gets stronger, I didn't like her character type anyways but she was interesting and had good moments, yet it just doesn't compensate her shit anymore. Uzi being main character is what I think kept me from rewatching anything but 6 ever since seven premiered, just can't stand seeing her anymore.

Uzi's worst is Episode 4, when she talks to that one student before killing him, proving that her mind wasn't completely lost to hunger. That's still better than "our idea of chic interior décor is mutilated corpses" with personal flavors of "I play basketball with my victims" and "I get off to watching drones get Jurassic Parked".

Idk if I would outright disagree, but there isn't that much difference between them really. 2 did show that Doll began using the Solver very soon after the pilot (2 is likely a day at most after 1, remember J's body), Uzi didn't actively use it until 3 (up to a few months after 2), so Doll had way longer where she needed oil. Uzi got her feast very soon in 4, Doll had no such opportunity. However, while Doll had needs, that doesn't justify her reckless preparation (hitlist) and killings of innocents during the prom itself, which is not really excusable in any way. Point being Doll and Uzi did both kill and collect (Uzi was carrying around a bag of bodyparts after all) other worker drones while being in controll, imo they are equal in that regard, but in the end neither that or Doll's promkills make her a 'villain'',at least the prom would be a better justification than her refusal to forgive her parent's killers. Mind that Uzi and Doll cannot be compared in that regard, Uzi didn't even remember Nori, Doll apparently cared a lot for them, it's no surprise Doll holds her grudge, while any bad feelings Uzi ma have kept were quickly drowned out by her new friend.

Given the circumstances and Uzi's character, as well as her following behaviour I wouldn't say she felt it such a transgression.

I'd imagine they act a lot like human babies minus the ability to move on their own, so a lot of that carries over, with exceptions.
I think it's safe to assume that drones naturally understand every language by default, so you could supplement simple stories with more complex materials. A line I was going to include in a part 2 of that "Anon adopts a pillbaby" green included Anon reading SICP to it like a bedtime story, but I felt like it was nice enough as a single-parter.
With absolutely zero evidence to back up this claim, I'd bet that a lot of drones in the show are missing emotional development in their early stages, hence why they don't care much for the deaths of others. Plenty of that would be good for them, or maybe bad, given how easily drones die.

That is probably true, due to shot zooming at the surveillamce camera at 6's intro's end, but I don't think (as I've seen claimed elsewhere often) that Alice was responsible for 029's and the other subject's death by Sentinels. In the intro we see the ceiling lighting still on, it soon turns off but Sentinels were already in the room at that point, do I don't think it was from Alice letting them in, rather because the intro takes place very shortly after the core collapse, it's also the only explanation as to how 029 was able to still be alive while showing no extraordinary survival skills, it would have been impossible for her to stay alive in the office spaces very long. From my understanding, Alice did watch her, yeah, from the same room she uses in 6, at that point she couldn't have known how Sentinels work (controll them via doors/ Sentinels suddenly began killing drones at that time from her POV) and likely survived only due to luck/having known of the room before. In any case, I'd say Alice has no fault for the other subjects being killed.

I know that looks bad, and was definitely meant to hammer Alice status as 'evil' home to casual viewer, BUT look at it from a in universe alone view and it is not so bad anymore (no N hate, he as a character would likely not have deserved being destroyed beyond repair but that is what we as viewers know, Alice knows nothing about N, he is just a DD to her)
It's a similiar case with Alice and the famous fingerscene (have you seen the reactions elsewhere?), Uzi was captured, that's no small deal but she wasn't in immediate danger and, this is what makes Alice reaction at least justified in my opinion, had nothing to gain from biting her finger off. Uzi is shown to be usually smart and have intelligence, but I think that act was pure gremliness and not thought out at all. Uzi was intrigued by Alice knowing Nori, seeing how interested Alice was in Uzi up until then I think she'd have been way more usefull not pissed off.
Mind that from Uzi's first reaction to Alice after waking up, over the way she spoke to her to save V, to her trying to use her Solver on Alice, Uzi treated Alice as if she was crazy (might be somewhat, but that's besides the point), point being, why for God's sake piss such a character off with no chance at gaining anything? While she was excited after having found out your relation to Nori? And then laugh at her? I know Uzi is meant to be good and Alice bad, but no way you turn it, that was fucked up, Uzi wasn't scared, that was just rude and stupid. Besides the point tho.

I was going for digital painting rather than photorealism, and started with the pants, because I had previous experience with denim from picrel. Yeah. Bloodplay I mentioned up there, it's more emotional and intimate. Losing blood's not pleasant, but giving it to your significant other is romantic. It also opens the potential for aftercare when you're a little woozy after the fact.
Coreplay and wireplay are odder. I do kind of like them for being weird robot sex and ITanon being a thread staple, but they're harder to justify. It's fun when it's written well, but I personally couldn't write it well.

I'm not too much into any of them really, but I'll admit bloodplay has an appeal. Idk if what happened in the old Alicegreen is exactly bloodplay, it was kinda brutal, but in the end that green had a real impact on me, so perhaps it played a part, maybe subconcious? Tho it's nolt just the concept itself, what made it so special was the circumstances and characters in that green.
So I guess I like bloodplay somewhat, can't tell exactly why but, hmm it has an appeal.

It is a big improvement, sucks that it had to be rushed, it happens at times. Glad to see you still finished it tho, the changes greatly influence the overall look of it for the better.
Honestly, respect for getting the blade shape correct, I didn't succeed with that ever thus far and yours looks really good! Giving her the hollow eyes and changing her mouth are good as well, when drawing her I at times wonder if hollow eyes nearly every time aren't over the top (idk why I wonder that), but it was never a mistake and everytime I changed them afterwards they improved Alice's character and the overall impression of the image.
One more thing I gotta mention, you are definitely one of my favourite drawanons here (not sure who is the singular best, tie up between three or four/subjectively ofc) and next to Alice and very original designs and ideas, the good use of digital's adavantages for details is one of the reasons. Look at the 'glove' (idk the word sorry, I'm too tired rn to look it up) for example, or her card and necklace not just on this but your other works as well, very accurate, such details make it very memorable and I just like it.

That is a true statemtne, Alice is just really wow. Absolutely great. Best character evsr. The way she looks, the way she moves, the way she sounds and speak and acts, together with the baxkstory, it couldn't be better, I know I couldn't have created anything better even if trying to make up someone ideal 10.000 times, noy just perfect. Archiver got points for images/mentions of her specifically, while Labor Bots got points for any bot that wasn't the Archiver
Haruka also has a lot of reaction images of just herself with no Aoi so I separated them
If you want to separate them Oogi content was like 90% Oogis with the rest being Bugretta. There were only a couple mentions of Enn or V-cats

It may not seem like i at first, given her lifestyle and feral behaviour, but I think she'd if there was actual need for WDs(ZDs) to do it.
Speaking of which, Alice would be one of the few drones that wouldn't stink to humans. Most of the surface WDs wear hair and special clothing(not all tho, WDF jackets like Khan has were already seen in pictures in the pilot of pre-collapse Copper-9) taken from dead bodies, they may be 'frozen' immediately, but that doesn't change it coming from a dead body, eugh.
The CFL subjects have hair and the gown specifically made for drones, there wouldn't be any stink from it. Alice as we see her in 6 has very ragged and oilsmeared clothing, sure, but that wouldn't be a problem really, smellwise. Rather the opposite, I imagine the old cloth, ropes on the antlers, as well as differently aged oil (a ton of it smeared on her gown and Antlers) would smell cozy imo, definitely of machine instead of bio-rot. Perhaps drones habe a 'base-smell' even, I don't think it'd be bad, definitely not after 20 years and Alice is at the very least a few years over 20, so what's described above might be all zhe smell.
