Hello, my good Friends! Good morning, noon, afternoon, or night. Do you want to talk about Worker Drones, Disassembly Drones, Solver, Humans, etc, etc? Because I want to! Let's talk about this like every day, let's have some fun talk and have a nice time. I hope you are having a good day. The stupendous Booru: https://dronebooru.co
>>41033 Since you said she's assertive but a power bottom would she just show her rear at you, anatomy adapter in full view, and then demand you fuck her?
>>41036 >You slap a sticker onto Ivory's ass >The sticker is just "Anon's property don't touch" in bold text >You had to get a bunch of these because some asshole always nicks your stuff from the break room >She turns around and looks at you >You can see she's speechless, a loading icon dominates her screen >Hah, that will show her >Satisfied you begin walking away >As soon as you turn your back to her you can feel the force of a thousand suns slamming onto your right butt cheek >With an angry sigh you twist your head and look upon your arse >There is now two stickers on your ass >A quick glance at Ivory reveals her holding five more stickers, ready to strike
>>41045 But no matter how much insults she says to egg you on to screw her senseless, she still loves you right? If she didn't she wouldn't slap a sticker on your ass claiming ownership of you.

>Nori starts spazzing out over the prospect of getting a new "normal" body, especially now that she's been made aware of the 'Solverpede situation' her own daughter is going through >She wants to stand in solidarity with Uzi (and frankly she's long since grown used to being a core) yet is afraid that remaining a core would be a cruel & "gross" thing to put Khan through
>Khan earnestly reassures Nori that his love for her is unconditional, and that he'll support whatever decision she ends up making on the matter >He explains that regardless of body or form she will [I]always[I] be the "hottie" that he'd fallen in love with all those years ago, and that above all else he's just happy to have her back in his life
>Cue another prolonged make out session between the two
>>41034 What would sex with a intoner be like? Considering she has complete control over her voice and can emit different soundwaves, can she literally make you horny just with her voice if she wanted to?
Image:172642359520.jpg(822kB, 3350x3025)ghost and her chicken.jpg
>>41053 One of two routes: either she would've become a botanist like she always wanted when she was a kid or her father would've went against family tradition and made her the new CEO of their company. Chances are she would've been happy regardless of which path she took.
>>41056 True that but the rest of her manufacturing line is actually quite sensible and mature.
Can't say the same for the aquatic response units. >>41057 >Can modulate her voice to achieve a perfect singing voice or a a soothing ASMR-inclined tone. >Combined with cosplay she could RP as your favourite character. >Also helps with espionage and voice throwing.
>In turn she sometimes sounds like she has multiple voices going at once. Often she forgets what she originally sounded like >Leads to heavy depersonalisation and issues of individuality >Plus the stigma around sentinel drones from disassemblers and workers alike exacerbates the issue. >If boosted by amplifiers and regulators, she can reach the fabled 'White Note' that makes any human within range of the noise instantly coom.
>>41050 Had a similar-ish thought to that one while reflecting on how the "Uzi finding out the people in her life still love her as a worm" green and its responses developed: >Uzi, after thinking about the roll her mom got on about how if her daughter is stuck as a freak then she's going to stay as a freak, tells her that she appreciates the thought but it's unnecessary >Nori teases out of Uzi that she feels like she'd be a burden on her mother if she did that >"What d'you mean, burden? How'd that make you a burden on me?" >"Mom, just... look at you!" >"Are you calling me an invalid!?" >"Of course no-" >[start telekinesis-ing things around] "You see this?! I am JUST as capable as before! I got by almost twenty years like this, I can make it the rest of my life if I have to!" >"Mom, I've never seen your face! I've gone my whole life without seeing my moth-" >"WE'RE DRONES! WE ALL HAVE THE SAME FACE!" >"WHY ARE WE EVEN YELLING OVER THIS!?" >"BECAUSE YOU THINK I CAN'T TAKE CARE OF MYSELF!" >"I DON'T! I WAS SAYING I DON'T WANT YOU SACRIFICING YOURSELF FOR ME LIKE THAT!" >"BITE ME!" >Uzi suddenly collapses like a puppet that's strings were cut >"BITE ME!" one of the glaring cameras emerging from the gargantuan biomechanical vermin that suddenly appeared yells in Uzi's voice >a hush descends >"No no no no no no no no no... no, I dropped... Mom, I didn't mean for you to see-" >"I know... let's just... let's just sleep on it..." >the monster disappears, and a reanimated Uzi scoops up Nori >"I'm sorry, Mom." she says as she hugs her mother >Nori's front legs hook themselves around Uzi's neck in another hug >"Don't apologize to me."
>>41012 Ehhhhhhhh, his eyes aren’t yellow false alarm! And his hair is definitely gray instead of blonde because it faded after years in the dump not because I forgot to recolor it when putting his Disassembly Drone head on a Worker Drone body or anything. In all seriousness, that’s part of the reason why I would not have him die in the first place when making a happier ending as mentioned here >>41002. The main catch of the AU was that everything remained mundane instead of having a death god devour everything. Having N be the new solver host would just mean the exact same thing happens 25-30 years later. I guess we can have Tessa regret how horrible she was to her drones without killing and reviving one of them.
While there is more angst to be had on account of the Solver’s victims not being one-dimensional assholes, I really don’t want to write that so you will have to fill in the blanks and overdramatic speeches about vengeance on those who wronged him yourself between >>41002 and pic related yourself.
That guy who was absolutely convinced that N was going to turn out to be evil is going to cream his pants at this, isn’t he?
Anyone knows which characters from MD actually got nominated now? Remember seeing almost 10 or so in the prenominations, which ones made it? Uzi and Cym only?
>He's gotta [get up] >He's gotta [get goin'] >He's gonna [see a friend of his]
>(She's round and she's fuzzy, he "loves" her because she's just...)
>Midnight, Capt Midnight >[Looking for fun,] [chasing some honey bees] >Capt Midnight, I know he's out there >Rumbly tumbly >[climbin' a honey tree] >[Climbin' a honey tree] >[𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐁𝐈𝐍' 𝐀 𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐘 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐄]
>Fun never ends for us, we're so adventurous >'Least every now and again >But when you're alone, and there's nobody home >It's nice to be able >To count on a friend like
>Capt Midnight, [Corruptor ov Innocence] >Wherever you go, [oh won't you take me please] >Capt Midnight, [I gotta be the-e-ere] >[It's me and it's you] >My silly old Capt Midnnnnnnnnnnight
>>41098 With Cyn at the helm? A living hell of perpetual torment & torture for her own twisted amusement With Uzi at the helm? Depends on who's writing the greentext/story
>>41095 Thankee. I hope I can one day deliver a good and melancholic, even if ultimately ending on an up note, ghost Doll green. Would be harder than anything with Uzi and/or Nori, since it'd inevitably involve Lizzy and she's fundamentally a silly character.

>>41102 >Uzi cannot risk diving her whole conscious into the veritable ocean of "souls" for anything but the briefest of moments lest she 'drown' or have her material body hijacked >At the same time Uzi also can't just simply ignore the innumerable voices that threaten to drown her mind in a cacophony of wailings >Thus a compromise was born in the form of an 'Avatar' possessing a fraction of Uzi's essence, made to serve as the primary conduit between the assimilated & their new God
>>41091 Double technically, it is the Solver(gender unknown, possibly female depending on the Cyn/Solver distinction in canon) in a male robot (N) in a a female human child (Cynthia).
Honestly, the Absolute Solver should be careful about how frequently it drops in on Uzi to passive-aggressively attack her. Too often and her will to resist it will become stronger out of pure spite.
>>41068 > Uzi and Nori get into a shouting match > Uzi gets so heated she 'drops the act' > internal panic > looks at her collapsed 'puppet' form, and back at her mom > Nori's stern gaze has not moved > she was looking at the real Uzi the entire time
>>41131 We have some very talented artfags, I dont think any of them main posting ones in every thread are bad Theyre putting in a lot of work this /co/
>>41122 Holy shit, I didn't even consider her knowing Uzi (i.e. a younger version of herself) well enough to figure where her head-equivalent cluster of Solverpede cameras would be. Kicking myself for not thinking of that.
God, I sooooo want to fuck sentinel drone. I literally have a cock of steel when I think of drones who don't suffer this "kill all humans" bullshit, but even protect humanity from fucking robo-Satan!
>>41145 I made her when I made >>41033 it was originally supposed to be some already existing SD, but I couldn't choose which one, so I ended up making her an OC. Also someone already wrote the first green featuring her >>41041
>>41125 anything in particular you're trying to learn? Or just in general? >>4111 >>41127 >>41131 cheers >>41141 ooh lovely. Yeah I also ended up missing most of qualifiers because I didn't prep anything beforehand
>>41165 >anything in particular you're trying to learn? Or just in general? My sketching skills and speed sorta suck at the moment, if you have anything for that would be great >>41164 Wrong image kms lmao
>>41002 Oh damn, you actually liked my random take. Yeah, breaking N is her point of no return, but that makes her coming back from the deep end more interesting, although I couldn't tell you how she managed such a feat. I have to wonder if V would be pissed seeing the condition he's in or just happy he's alive. J would be relieved too, probably enough to drop the facade for a bit.
>>41167 a hard round 95% of the time, just a circle with pen pressure sensitivity on opacity and none on size (I just manually change the size with ctrl+alt)
other than that its sometimes a soft airbrush for smooth transitions
https://files.catbox.moe/kp4nzp.sut here's the brush.sut if you happen to use CSP, but it should be pretty easy to replicate in any other software
>>41169 >sketching skills and speed I usually just have a large canvas to scribble on and fill with lots of small, unfinished sketches, just the kind of drawings you don't spend too much time on or think too hard about. Eventually it becomes easier to hash out the things you draw regularly but anything novel (like a pose you aren't familiar with) still remains pretty time consuming to draw, often requiring several iterations or redoes
>>41030 Do you think Lizzy would get a little hot under the collar over Nori being a headcrab thing, or would that not be monstery enough to move the needle for her?
>>41175 >Nori always feels uncomfortable around Lizzy. >Not that she's tried anything, but the predatory gaze she feels whenever Lizzy is around sends shivers down Nori's metaphorical spine.
>>41173 >>41174 As someone absolutely unkowing about /co/ except MD I believe Uzi is out, but the others seem irelevant, at least Cyn will very likely male it
Got to say, one of the things that's been a discourager to learning digital painting has been the tonnes of brushes I see being bundled into places like Artstation and the like. Likely something I'll learn in just about any intro painting video, but blenders and blurrers have always felt so particular. Wondered if could really be as simple as having a smaller handful for everything as I've come to know with flat rendering.
If you've the time, I also wondered as to the particulars of layer setup and structuring. The notion of an undercolor layer is new to me; and thank you again.
Bored so here's a prompt >OCs Play Tf2 >Beretta plays a Scout solely for the Batsaber, she knows it's just a reskin and it's effectively worthless for actual combat but she tries to hit people with it anyways >E plays a Heavy while her boss plays her pocket-Medic, she pubstomps the entire enemy team if they manage to kill her boss atleast once >Negev is allowed only on certain days to use the computer with intense supervision of course, she plays as Pyro with Pyro-Vision equipped, she uses the Phlog >John plays as the Spy, despite disguises literally not working for anyone he manages to always pull it off, despite the fact he disguises as a Scout and walks directly to the opposing base, the only time he fails is when Negev is in the same server
>on Doll's first day back in both her body and school, they were doing ceramics in art class >since she was still stiff and relearning how to do everything, Lizzy sacrificed a great deal of working on her own project to assist her ghost bestie >the art teacher had put on a mix tape of calming music for the class, and when Lizzy went over to work with Doll it started on Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody (High Quality)
>>41180 yeah it tripped me up as well when first starting out, using a hard round definitely simplifies things a lot but it tends to have a somewhat 'flat' look and any textures have to be manually painted in. If you want to give it a shot I'd recommend starting out with purely values first (just black and white)
'blending' is as simple as pressing softly and painting between values so you get a mix of both. As for layer setup I start with a sketch (usually set to 'multiply' so lines remain visible) then throw some colours in a layer underneath it, then one more layer on top of everything else where I paint/clean up (which usually takes the longest)
put together a demo of what it might look like: demo I was rushing a bit here, you'd want to take it slower and make sure your sketch is better established, but this is pretty much the whole process regardless of what I draw
I am being attacked by an Uzi model. I would be panicking and fearing for my life if it were any other model, but she is just hitting me as hard as she can (which isn't very hard) while repeating THD. What is the course of action here, anons?
Does anyone have a general baseline description for how Emily tends to get portrayed on the board? Since I know for sure that the Emily that is often written about here differs either slightly or heavily from canon Emily.
>>41253 Emily here gets described as a good christian girl but has a obsession with humans to a very sexual degree and regards them as gods which conflict with her christian morals. If you really wanna see how she's portrayed go on the booru and search her up there.
>>41180 NTA. >digital painting has been the tonnes of brushes I see being bundled into places All of that is overkill and can be ignored if you're a beginner. Once you've got a grasp on fundamentals/start attempting projects that are more involved texture-wise, or blending-wise, or stylistically, or that involve geometries (like a ring of fur, or plants or certain styles of hair) that have a recognizable form yet are tedious to do with a standard brush, then they become very useful. >blenders and blurrers have always felt so particular. They help massively with transitions between colors and edges and moving from basic shading toward more naturalistic/less harsh gradients and gradual shifts between colors. Of course that can be done with a simple brush and playing with dropper/opacity, but it gets a soft effect easier. >layer setup Depends on the project and personal preference. Standard lineart + coloration readily suggests line art on separate layers from coloration. Then there might be a sketch layer, layers with effects applied to them, a background layer etc. With time and experimentation, you'll find a setup that works for you.
>>41261 Followed an earlier anon's advice and gave her uppies. Thankfully was only bitten on the chest. She's currently stirring awake from what I can only assume to be an embarrassed reboot.
>It's september in Outpost 3 >For beretta, that only means one thing: School >No more adventures, no more discovering the truth about her origins, no more solver borger >Exploring the Solver War and digging deep into the diary of Jane? Fuck that, it was time for algebra. Stuff a variable in it. >Discovering the truth behind her conception and the tragedy of her birth? You must be referring to home economics! Take this fake baby. >Hope isn't quite who she seems, her story seems almost...fake...as if there never was any HOPE, HOPE that Beretta could keep a 4.0 GPA >The hidden humans seem agitated, the resources are running thin. Talk of revolt fills the air, almost as much as talk of the big game against Outpost-6. Buy your tickets now! >That little voice in her head had always told her she was special. That she was the destined child, the vessel of which she would bring peace to all, everybody unified as one. Perhaps that was her cue to run for student council president this year? >Yep, this was going to be one shitty school year.
Writing the Emily green now. Anyone want to give me a name for the human in here, or should they just go by Anon? I've seen a lot of greens just call the main character or even deuteragonist (if they're human) Anon, so I was wondering.
>5:00 AM - Early Bird: Femdrone boots up early and first, as usual. >The first thing she does is light a cigarette, savoring the warmth that spreads through her air filters, a poor but comforting imitation of warmth. >She checks the schedule she wrote off the night before, full of maintenance tasks, repairs, and diagnostics. Her usual shineningans. "Workin' like a dream, as always," she mutters to herself, already feeling that familiar itch to get started. >6:30 AM - Work Heaven: Welding torch in hand, sparks fly as she fixes up a damaged conveyor system. >The noise, the heat, the smell of metal, she’s in her natural habitat. >As she works, her mind wanders, a lot on factory elements, chemicals, or perhaps even thinking about the N models she desires to "work" on. >But that won't stop her task, she has to finish, after all. "Just gotta keep grindin'," she says, Dragging her cigarette between welds. "Ain’t nothin’ more satisfyin’ than a well-oiled machine. Like me." >10:00 AM - Job Complete: The conveyor system is back up and running, perfectly smooth. >Femdrone inspects her work, admiring the precision. >She wipes her hands down, eyeing her next task: reinforcing a set of steel beams for the building. >And then she hears it. “Cherrr, dere you are, mon cœur!” >Femdrone's circuits practically freeze at the sound of their voice. Dirt, the Cajun drone, coming up fast. >Femdrone darts her optics around the room, spotting nowhere to hide. "Damn it," she hisses. "Not now." >10:02 AM - An Escape Attempt: Femdrone quickly drops her tools and makes a break for the far side of the workshop, hoping to slip out of the room before Dirt can reach her. >She weaves through industrial machinery like a pro, cigarette still clamped between her mouth. >For a moment, it seems like she might just make it today. >But then… >CLANG!
>>41280 "Gotcha, cher!" Dirt's voice is right behind her, sounding far too pleased. "Dammit, Dirt!" >Femdrone grumbles as she’s caught, Dirt's arms wrapping around her in an overly affectionate grip. "I told ya before, I ain't interested in yer little faggy fantasies! Let me go!" >10:05 AM - Smooching session: >Dirt ignores her protests as usual. They're grinning, that same annoyingly playful grin, as they lean in far too close for comfort. "Cher, y’know you can’t run from me. We are meant to be close!" Dirt says, punctuating her words with a quick, firm smooch on the side of Femdrone’s face. >Femdrone freezes, her system processing a whirlwind of annoyance, frustration, and disgust. "Ugh!" she yells, her faceplates heating slightly in embarrassment. "That’s it, I’m welding yer chassis to the floor next time!" >Dirt just laughs, still holding her close. "Ah, cher, you can’t help but love me!" >Femdrone grits her teeth, trying to wriggle free but failing against Dirt’s hold. "You’re lucky my favorite shotgun ain’t within arm’s reach, ya crazy heap of bolts!" >But Dirt's grip tightens, her servos whirring as she pins Femdrone against one of the large metal supports in the workshop. "Mmm, cher, y'know a girl like you just makes it impossible to hold back," Dirt purrs, their voice dripping with teasing affection. >Femdrone’s optics widen in panic as Dirt leans in closer, their lips pressing to the side of Femdrone’s face. >What starts as a single kiss turns into a full-blown assault of unrequired affection. >Dirt plants one smooch after another, their lips making a loud, exaggerated Mwah! Mwah! sound with each kiss. >Femdrone's circuits are going haywire. "Ngh! Dirt, I swear, if ya don’t quit it, I’mma-" >Before she can finish the threat, Dirt's lips find her mouth, and they're relentless. >They pepper the area with sloppy, noisy kisses while holding Femdrone's arms pinned to the wall, keeping her trapped in the one-sided makeout session.
>>41281 "Yer crazy!" >Femdrone growls, struggling to break free, her hydraulics hissing as she writhes under Dirt's firm hold. "This ain't affection, this is assault! You ever heard of consent?!" >Dirt laughs between kisses, clearly unfazed. "Ah, cher, y’know ya love this deep down. Why deny it? We make such a cute couple!" >Femdrone’s entire system is practically overheating from embarrassment and frustration. >Her limbs struggle against Dirt’s grip. "I do not love this! Get yer greasy lips offa me, Dirt! I'm gonna rip ya apart if ya don’t let go!" >Dirt keeps going, pressing a final, extra-long kiss against her cheek with a loud, exaggerated smack. "Mwah! There ya go, cher. Just lettin’ ya know how much I care." >Femdrone grits her teeth. "Care? This is harassment, ya love-struck hunk o' junk! When I get loose, I’mma install a bomb in yer chasis, ya hear me?!" >Dirt finally pulls back, grinning proudly, completely ignoring Femdrone's protests. They tap her cheek with a finger. "Maybe next time, I’ll teach ya how to kiss back, cher. You might just like it." >Femdrone is left fuming, her body rigid and her cigarette now fucked from all the struggling. "If ya think I'm gonna 'kiss back' anytime soon, you got a screw loose." >Dirt winks before giving Femdrone a playful pat on the head and releasing her. "We'll see, cher, we'll see." >10:15 AM - Agony begone: >Dirt saunters away, leaving Femdrone standing there in a mix of shock and utter frustration. >She watches Dirt disappear into the workshop with a smug, self-satisfied grin. >Femdrone straightens up, wipes her face, and fixes her cigarette. >Her vents are still wheezing with frustration, and she mutters to herself "I swear one day I’m gonna rewire their core to understand the word no." >She takes a deep, unnecessary breath, calming herself down as she lights another cigarette, blowing out a plume of smoke to steady her frayed nerves.
>>41282 >10:30 AM - Back to Work: >Back at her welding station, Femdrone picks up her tools with fury. >She aggressively sets to work, her mind focused on the task to forget what just happened. >Each weld is sharp, precise, and done with a bit more force than necessary. "Dirt ain’t the worst part of the day," she mutters to herself. "She’s just... practice for my patience. Yeah, patience..." >Even as she tries to focus, the thought of Dirt's sloppy kisses makes her shudder in disgust. >She grumbles through the rest of the shift, but eventually, she shakes it off. "Work," she reminds herself, "is the only relationship that matters."
>>41287 >"Robo-God! My life fucking sucks!", sighed Beretta as she prepared to take an Algebra exam that she barely studied for >Meanwhile, back in the Psyche ward >The sound of sirens filled the halls as the orderlies tried to keep the riot under control >Negev screamed like a banshee as she tore the face off one of new-hires with only her teeth >Oil Doll only sighed at the sight >"Меня не было всего 30 минут, и это случилось? Ебать."
>>41289 >"Scrumptious.", said N as he proceeded to devour the Frozen TV Dinner >"N! What the fuck! Isn't this out of character!?", cried V >"Silly, V.", replied N >"This is entirely non-canon, it's already OOC for The Solver of all things to have a secret lab, let alone for some odd reason keep Tessa alive or go through the trouble of making an exact skin copy to wear."
I'm honestly thinking about just quitting college altogether. Seriously, I just can't focus myself to do studies there. Most of the stuff they teach there is just uninteresting to me with maybe one or two classes that I kinda give a shit about and the way they teach stuff there I barely understand. I actually find it more fun to play video games, write and draw drones than getting a degree. Do I just have undiagnosed ADHD?
>>41297 >I actually find it more fun to play video games, write and draw drones than getting a degree. Would not recommend this unless you plan to be a neet forever.
>>41304 Yeah basically. But once their parents retire or are too old to support them then they're suddenly left completely on their own; with no skills, or experience; assuming their parents don't kick them out before that point.
>>41299 I guess you could say that I have trouble focusing but not that quick to anger. I just find it very dull to write down and listen to theoretical stuff and while the only 3 classes that I have where I actually do something with tools and whatnot I find much easier to focus on. Hell even the internship I took at a soldering plant was more fun than college. I guess you could say my brain needs stimulation to actually do something but only if its something I like.
>Wouldn't it be good? The thought permeated Emily's mind as she walked the colony's bustling halls. School was out, but the colony's foreign acceptance system was the real reason for all the hustle and bustle. >It all started after her classmate had consumed the heart of a *God*, then made it her mission to right the wrongs she'd committed. Uzi of course acted reluctant about using her effortless warping of space and matter for benevolent purposes---such as reviving the classmates she'd cannibalized on the now-memorialized Camp 98.7 Incident---but Emily could tell she enjoyed doing that little bit of good. >Everyone did, didn't they? Her parents had told her every day since she could walk that, "Everyone has a little Holy Spirit in them," and she believed that. If the weird, highly emotional, and now outright schizophrenic purple-haired murder girl of the colony could do good and enjoy it, the worst people had to have been able to as well. >So, she had been the one to suggest opening up the colony gates to any stray wanderers outside. She never specified they only had to be drones though. In fact, she snuck in the little clause, 'All humans will be granted free entry if they're not super evil.' It was rock solid, and it was virtuous, and it was thus something any good Christian would've done. She was just the one to do it, and it made her feel happy. It made her feel a little whole to see new drones wander in from abandoned colonies and even dying exoplanets---drones whose lives would've certainly been lost to the unrelenting cold. >Emily felt. . . *warm*. She felt like she had stuck a magnet to her core, just without all the immorality and self-destruction of intellect that her parents told her came with using such illicit substances. And yet, that warmth failed to penetrate much deeper than an inch into her core. She still felt cold beneath it. >Life was short, and Uzi had shown her just how much shorter it could be. She'd shown her how easily it could be ripped away, and how quickly all hope for new experiences, for new passions, for the simple continuation of the day into a pleasant sleep---could all be taken away. Emily hated it. She wanted a life that would not shatter so easily. An *eternal* life, and yet, she worried about that too. >Christianity had been the Faith of Man, and it was only theological discussion---not fact among the few faithful drones in the colony---that drones possessed souls of their own. Without a soul, you were no more than an empty shell, weren't you? The thought had come to Emily many-a-cold, lonesome night, and she had never once successfully argued against it. >All she could do was turn her mind off and fall asleep. Renewing her faith in the morning was easy in the comforting presence of her caring mother and strong-willed father, but she wanted to be able to make an answer of her own. She didn't want to just get told things would go as promised. She wanted to *feel* they would. She wanted to have faith in her faith itself. >Emily nearly bumped into the cold steel doors of the colony church. Her boots were slick with freshly melted and re-frozen ice. The halls leading to the church doors (which looked identical to any other colony door) were seldom taken care of like the rest of the colony. So few drones came and went that the janitors didn't see a reason to pick the halls of ice formations. Yet, when Emily turned around to look back at the hall she'd just walked through, oblivious due to her daydreaming, she found it was, for the most part, cleaned of ice, and that in her daze, she'd just happened to walk on one of the few strips remaining. >Wordlessly, Emily pressed the button to the side of the doors and watched as the bottom half slid down into its gap and the other half slid up. They made almost no sound. Mechanical whirring had been nigh-eliminated in the colony, and Emily liked that. Sudden noises and strong surprises were the bane of her existence. >She slung her backpack down near the church's entrance, crouched down, and rifled through it before taking out a Bible that was nearly as big as her chassis. She held it to her chest. It was a thick and hard tome crafted by someone who had to have been the only drone preserving the art of bookmaking, for all the other Bible's Emily came across in the colony libraries had old, weather pages---yellow, thin strips of paper that'd crack their brittle selves into dust with the amount of pressure a drone could exert through their human-designed-and-perfectly-crafted-fingers. >The sound of sweeping rung in Emily's auditory receptors suddenly, and she let out a frightened squeak as she turned around and slowly lowered her massive Bible to find the source of the noise. What she saw destroyed all preconceived notions of the colony's janitors. Well, it broke all notions she'd had about *Workers*. >For one, one was tall, and lanky, and they moved more flexibly. They were also cleaning the inside of the church for two. This of course meant that this janitorial Worker had to have had some real good reason to do it. They could've taken the easy way out and just cleaned up the main hallways or cafeteria, and the fact they'd walked all the way to the church meant something stronger. >"Sorry, did you mean to come in after hours?" They asked, clearing their throat after. >Clearing the throat was entirely unnecessary for drones---especially ones wearing full-face masks to protect their respiratory coolant systems from debris when cleaning. >Oh shit. >Emily realized just that moment that this was a *human*---one of the three that had come to the colony on a ship they'd salvaged up, wrangled into space, and run on hopes and prayers. Hopefully lots of prayers. >"Is now a bad time?" Emily asked. >"Not at all," the human said as he rounded the massive statue of Jesus, God, and Satan duking it out to sweep up a few ever-frozen shards of ice. "You can sit. Just avoid the front row. Still haven't gotten to that one yet." >Emily nodded. She moved forward but stopped at the middle row of pews. Her core began pounding in her chest. She hadn't thought of it in a while (getting to finally meet a human, speak with them, and do whatever else her occasionally degenerate mind cooked up on late nights). Now, those thoughts were resurfacing, and she didn't know how to feel about them. This was a *church*. This was a place to commune with *God*.
Part 1/? of True Faith
I crave critique and opinions, and I will haunt your thoughts for both. . .
one of my Ns, a WD variant, keeps breaking into the cookie jar while i’m asleep. and my V, a DD variant, plays way too rough with him, and he can’t defend himself cause he’s smaller and weaker. what should i do?
>>41309 Good start so far. My question is where do you plan to take this? Because I assume it's toward a conversation about faith, existence and purpose for a worker drone.
Far better than the shit I put out regardless. I look forward to the next part, but perhaps you could cut the word count by about 10%? It's up to you.
>>41313 I definitely intend to take it towards a conversation about faith and existence for a Worker drone, but also just about Emily and this human Adrian themself. I intend to make Adrian fairly generic to act as an Anon-vessel for the story, though still want to write development between them and Emily.
So 40% philosophy, 60% maybe(?) relationship stuff that is wholesome? I'll take that word count suggestion in mind though.
>>41316 Hmm. Interesting. I'd argue for a 45/55 split personally, but be careful not to dwell on it too long. Otherwise you risk overthinking all of it. Other than that, sounds like you have it figured out.
>>41317 Indeed. I do want to get philosophical, but I only want the philosophy to be a major part of it, not the foundation of the story. 45/55 sounds good though for someone like me who can struggle to write romance and tender moments.
>>41309 NOTE: I had to break up the original Part 2 into Parts 2 & 3 since it got too long.
>Emily sat down on the pew to her left, set her Bible down next to her with the care a parent would've had handling their pill baby, and formed the symbol of the cross. >20 minutes passed. >The sound of the human's broom sweeping up particles and shards of ice was initially grating to Emily. It invaded the little mental-scape she'd created of her before, well, *nothing*, with her hands clasped as she silently prayed. By the 10 minute mark, the little swooshes the broom made had grown almost rhythmic. Her powerful mental processors recognized that little pattern and it assuaged them. It calmed her, if even by a little. >Emily finished the last of her silent prayers for protection, eternal life beyond death, and the sinful desire to be what she considered most immoral just *once*, even if the opportunity to talk with this human didn't lead to anything. >"What's your name?" Emily asked unnaturally slowly as she looked up from the pew in front of her and realized the human had started sweeping down the aisle to her right. >"Adrian," the human answered quickly, pausing. "And you?" >"I'm Emily," she said in a shaky voice, internally punching herself for that nanosecond of wavering tone. "Aren't you also going to, you know. . . take a break? Everyone else finished up thirty minutes ago." Again with the slight quivering in her voice. Emily worked through it though, deciding she'd rather be a tad awkward than be a weirdo via dead, unresponsive silence. >"I would, but I checked around this place when I first came here a week back. Saw that there were janitorial positions open, but that cleaning the church was optional. *Optional*. That just irked me a l'il, so I decided I'd take the time outta my day to fix this place up." >Emily was silent for several seconds before she spoke. >"Why'd it irk you?" She asked curiously, secretly hoping Adrian would respond with one specific answer. >"I'm a Christian. That's for one." >Adrian chuckled and Emily smiled. It was always a joy to find fellow faithful drones, but the fact that the first human she'd found was faithful (and faithful enough to clean a church almost nobody used rather than just go home and relax) felt like a sign. Surely it was, right? And, if it was, had God planted it? >"Do you come here on Sundays? I've never seen you before here, among the. . . five people who come in." Emily looked a tad disheartened upon admitting the church's unpopularity. >"No can do. I gotta settle for Saturday, even if it's not tradition. Work calls on Sunday since I also got the job to fix up the teacher's supplies." >Emily and Adrian spoke at greater length about their lives. Emily learned that Adrian had come from a dead exoplanet whose core had exploded, wiping out all humans but the ones stationed in bunkers at the time. Adrian was a highschool student himself---a Senior---and he'd taken on the scholarship-awarding mission JcJenson offered to bright, young, gullible Seniors. The mission promised a full ride through college if Adrian could fulfill all the glorious jobs of a janitor in his assigned bunker, and he did, and he was good at it, but it didn't matter how good at it he was if everyone around him was dead and JcJenson no longer even existed. And now, Adrian was here talking to Emily. >"What about you?" Adrian asked, almost taking a seat before Emily spoke up. >"Oh! You can sit next to me if. . . you want, y'know, or whateveryou'dliketodo," she quickly stammered out, voice decreasing like a volume slider being slid down the more she spoke.
Part 2/? of True Faith
I am still hungry for critique and opinions. . . I shall converge with the Writefag Council and commit high-class Writefaggery upon this thread.
>>41335 NOTE: This is that part 3 I was talking about! Part 4 will probably come tomorrow since I wrote these close to midnight.
>Adrian paused for a moment, chuckled (even he knew it was a weird quirk of his and he hoped he wasn't making a bad first impression of the human race in Emily's eyes), and took a seat next to Emily and her Bible. She picked up her Bible and sat it in her lap but didn't have the nerve or temptation strong enough to override her desire to be a 100% Grade-A puritan to tell Adrian he could come closer if he wanted. >"Sooo, about-" Adrian started again before Emily spoke up. Even she was surprised at her willingness to speak, much more how she interrupted him unintentionally. >"I've never really been outside the colony," Emily said, twiddling her forefingers together on top of her Bible. It was certainly thick enough to act like a coffee table for her. "I only went outside for this one field trip to Camp, but I. . . Don't freak out, but I *died*." >"And you came back?" Adrian asked, more intrigued than anything. >"Y-Yes! It was a miracle. Well, it was all my classmate's fault, *and* her to be thanked for me coming back." >"Hm," Adrian hummed curiously. "Guess she must've felt bad about it." >Emily and Adrian picked up on the fact that Adrian was a bad comic then and there. Emily found it more humorous than anything coming from a *human* of all beings to fail at something so spectacularly it looped back around to being funny anyways. >"Yeah, yeah. . ." Emily trailed off before her display eyes brightened with sudden recollection. "Hey, Adri?" >"Already at nicknames are we?" The human said, making his first half-decent joke for the first time. It earned a little huff of a laugh from Emily. "No, no. Carry on. I'm listening." >"What do you think. . . we're here for?" She asked so quietly she wondered if her voice might break from how thinly stretched it was. >"Drones? Well, I couldn't say. I'm not God after all, though I've certainly tried talkin' to him lots." >"Well, if you *were* God, what would you say drones were made for? And. . . would he care for us? Enough to keep a spot for us up there?" Emily asked, pointing up at the invisible high Heavens with her thumb as she looked up at Adrian. >"God made humans, and humans made drones, so. . . you don't think God wouldn't care about his grandkids enough to let you through the pearly gates?" Adrian asked, trying to assuage Emily. >"Y-You're right. He has to, doesn't he?" She sighed, refusing to believe the answer could actually be that simple but accepting it a little anyways. >"He *is* infinitely loving. Not like he can run outta the stuff and only rations it out to humans." >That mention of humans and God stirred Emily's mind even more. She lay flat against the pew and didn't turn to Adrian when she spoke again. >"God watches over us. I. . . think you're right about that, Adri. But, *you* created us. You know our true purpose is to. . . to serve, right?" >Adrian lay quiet for a few seconds before responding: "That I do." >"Then do we not have a purpose anymore---a *reason*---to. . . to keep going?" >Silence filled the church. Silence and worry and the anxiety of years of unquenched desire for answers.
Part 3/? of True Faith
Writefaggery shall commence, and I am open to all critique and opinions!
Here’s a cute. >Intoner is a brat, that much is true. Most Sentinels find it a little irritating but not enough to completely sour everything. >But she still feels emotions. All of them. Like love, rage, sadness, and fear. >She’s had a nightmare more than once actually. Some Sentinels get them. She woke up in the middle of the night and was too scared to even get up. She even started crying a little bit. >When she finally found the remote courage to stand upright, she managed to make it to the couch before curling up in a fetal position. >Eveline and Harper were the first to come to her, as if awoken by her distress. And what did they do, when they saw her shaking like a leaf and curled up in a ball? >They both carried her to a bed and decided to sleep next to her, embracing her to make her feel safe >Intoner may be a brat, but she’s OUR brat.
>>41309 >>41335 >>41336 Liking the way it's going so far, fellow writefriend. Only advice I can give is to remember that every word counts in a short story like this with character limits. If a line can be shortened by a bit while retaining the mood, it should be shortened. That's all I've got to offer though. Keep up the great work!
>>41342 Speaking of this image, I'm working on a proper version of it which will include proper lineart and much more time spend on lighting, shading and rendering.
Other than for sharing art is there ANY good reason to make a Tumblr/Twitter account? My opinion of both these sites is soured because of past experience and considering almost everyone outside these threads are a bunch of absolute prunes I have no idea how some of you deal with those websites.
Given that Workers are built for heavy labor and could lift mining carts with relative ease, even Worker Drones would be able to pin down and rape humans
>>41358 The only other place I post my stuff is Newgrounds and recently AO3. I have a Twitter account, but I've long since stopped using it since its only role was to keep up to date with some people I follow and they're all off Xitter now, so I don't really have much of a reason to be on it anymore either outside of the few nip artists I followed. I might use it for some of my art, but it's a big maybe. I've never used Tumblr in my life since I'm a DevArt kid, so. And speaking of that cursed site, I may go through with reviving my old account there.
>>41358 I don't feel like posting any of my art outside these and I'd rather stay anonymous as much as I can. I guess you could say the only place I'm at is AO3 and that's just to write RUINED EARTH.
>>41370 >The Workers got out again >You blow a whistle as the Sentinels are released from their leashes, running down the escaping Workers and rolling them apart
>>41380 Uzi would be sad and distant because of all the consequences of eating the Absolute Solver's essence. Kid would be confused by Mom saying she can't feel them during a hug, then would understand what it means when Uzi accidentally reveals what she is now during an argument with the Solver. Reconciliation marks itself with the terrified kid hesitantly coming up to the great worm and hugging one of the tired-looking camera eyes that came down to be eye level with her.
>>41380 Switch would be a mix of between western mom and a stereotypical asian mom AKA she will be strict but not to a very obsessive degree like most east asian parents.
>>41380 Doll would do her best for any potential guardianless child that doesn't run screaming from the sight of ghosts. Would very much love to be part of a family again.
>>41407 tbh, I can't write for shit, so actually writing a character isn't exactly my strongsuit aside from the "bully" stuff, she's also slightly possessive but also competitive when it comes to work idk, it's just a general concept
>>41414 I draw and write at the same time and I'm an ESL at that. If I can do it so can you. Just try to write something and eventually your mind will click and you'll write something out.
>>41417 Laser weaponry. DDs and hosts are weak to extreme heat and UV light so any laser weapons from Star Wars, Star Trek, SS13, etc., would be able to take down a DD. With how they don't seem to feel pain from conventional means I think lasers will make them feel pain enough so that they get stunned and you get a clean shot at their core.
>>41417 Technically speaking, any firearm as long as it's: 1: A well-placed shot and 2: You caught it off guard, as if there's any weakness that both DDs and Solver hosts are shown to have in common, it's the element of surprise
>>41417 Why....my peenus weenus of course :D What sci Fi weapons that can effective to take down a DD permanently? And the answer is, my peenus weenus haha :D
>>41418 Most short greens I've written I just wing it but for longer stories here's what I do >Think of an idea >Write down said idea in bullet points >The bullet points act as the general flow of your story, that way I can look at it and stay on track as I write Once you start actually writing as you go down the list, try to expand upon the bullet points and try to stick to them so that you don't get a lot of unnecessary text. You might also wanna read other's greens and fanfics, these could also help with the style of story you wanna tell.
>>41417 Literally anything as long as it's strong enough to kill the core. The problem is actually hitting them because they're twitchy little bastards. Also Solver hosts are just immune to all ranged attacks because of their fuck off shield that bends anything around them.
>>41438 Instead of howling, she repeatedly "taps" the door with her foot like that one video (She's desperately attempting to get in and/or wake you up.)
>>41447 Nah I said I'd keep the door open which means she can enter any time she wants but just for the fun of it I'll pretend to be asleep. Would she start shaking you to wake up?
>>41451 The plague of early morning sleepy. Probably walk onto your bed and move you around then sit on the bed by you, tapping you randomly or lightly shuffling you to wake you up.
>done with the newest story/greentext >after all the proofreading and sentence restructurings, I decided to divide it to see how many parts it'd take to post >25 parts Should I just bite the bullet and post it on AO3, then link it here? I want to release it in one go (along with some supplementary material which caps the part number to 31), but I'm kinda worried of that post count.
>>41499 ok so apparently its not 99, but qq and after a bit of digging, appears to have been a victim of twitter shipper schizos a year ago and nuked their stuff
>>41501 >13 just melts into black goo and hopes that's enough to let him slip between the wooden planks Actually I just now realized that 13's powers are basically just a more OP version of an oil ghost.
>>41508 Well then said OC donut steeles could fit your criteria. How do you feel about a self-important police officer jobber who can easily be bullied but does his best, and his 9ft tall boss who's an absolute softie off duty but could break you easily with one hand? >And more, if you so desire.
Image:172651567844.png(31kB, 480x557)information is required.png
>>41511 mhm, yes and stupid >>41512 Would you kindly give me more information, perhaps? >>41514 Honestly, the 6A squad was made first for funs, but now i just want to write/draw a tragic story, I drew H because of my love of big guys. But I wouldn't lewd him myself, probably with [BLEEP]. And Gilles, he needs to die. Doesn't deserve any respect or love in the slightest
>>41079 >Nori and Khan are such soulmates that they even managed to have Uzi in a timeline where everything happened 25-30 years later.
I did say I wasn’t interested in continuing this as it would just be the same story again but I suppose that there is one thing that would be different if N became the first solver host. Don’t expect much more of this after this though
>>41519 Uhhhhhhhhhh..... Zeta's a big ass riot drone. Good for hugs. Could probably split you down the middle. Likes cooking and long walks. Xi's a 'charming' dick who'd sooner undermine you if he thought he could use it to be no.1. But very easily gets his shit kicked in. Use it to your advantage. I guess a sort of Astarion type guy. Minus the flamboyance and more police-y. Civil protector model that plays tennis on the rare time off at OPD. Both used to be WD medical assistants at a hospital before it got burned down.
>>41331 NO that is the one where all the Solver stuff never happened and Tessa grew up to be about as happy and well adjusted as you would expect someone with parents like James and Louisa to be. I don't know what logic you operate on but people with loving parents generally don''t become alcoholics who are constantly angry at everything.
Guys my Oogis starting doing this New ORK GOFF ROCKBAND! Time to WAAAGH! during their Enn-Gladiator fights and are now constructing great works of metal and steel, they look like weapons they want to "Fo oh Fo" the "Hive scummies" down the street at my neighbors house and "Take the Boog an Loot, Nummies fo every Oog" is everything okay
>>41550 >This is how the Human OCs discipline their DDs Never underestimates mans ability to Ooga Booga theres a reason why WE are the dominant species and it because rock

https://archiveofourown.org/works/58999072 Newest installment in my little continuity.
I decided to just post it on AO3 first since it really was too big for one sitting and I didn't want to wait anymore. Canon wise, it's actually set between "Demon In Cherry Heaven" and "Absolute Territory" like most newer stories that'll be sprinkled between the older ones since I want to fill that time frame with more stories to add some extra "meat" to the overall narrative up until the confrontation with the Sirens.
>>41563 What I AIN'T skipping on is the newest inclusion to the Wildlife category. I did ask some time ago if I should continue posting these specific creations of mine since they don't exactly fit MD's overall setting, but no one said a thing so I guess it's fine for now :]
So let's go on a field expedition in Takamagahara's western fields and meet the Handensha Bee.
>descendants of honeybees that took a rather unusual direction, where the queen is now the entire hive instead of building the nest on a tree branch >just like old honeybee queens, the Handensha queens lays up to 2000 eggs a day, each carried by a worker into a cell where they'll develop fairly quickly into a full grown adult >the bees themselves are actually smaller compared to their ancestors, with both workers and drones suffering a 20% size decrease, meanwhile the queens became absolutely monstrous in size; their average body length caps at or just shy over 2 meters, but that's only including the extra segments, the original body size rarely reaches over half a meter >the three body segments of the queen are each meant to be a separate queen, but they all merge into one thanks their quite bizarre life cycle >queens are born as triplets from a single, large egg, but they completely skip the larva and pupal stage; only one of the queens will resemble a normal bee, while the other two will have a drastically different appearance, with a pale beige color, a soft and hairless exoskeleton, no eyes and underdeveloped jaws and antennae, barely any developed organs besides their reproductive one and their abdomen and thorax are fused together; the only trait that's properly developed are their wings which are capable of flight >soon after birth, one of the underdeveloped sisters will bite their developed sister's rear end, with the last sister doing the same with the other sister; in just a few hours, their jaws would've completely melted away along with most of their head, the remaining tissue being repurposed to properly connect their body segments together into one sausage like abdomen; eventually the process finishes, the future queen entering the so called “princess” stage (1/?)
>>41568 >not long after, the princess is kicked out of the nest as they serve no real purpose, however the mother queen will make sure first that their daughter will have the best chances of making it, stopping by empty dens, hollowed out trees or deep rock crevices, letting the princess fly as best as she can with her six wings and hide inside before parting ways >the princess will then feast on a honeycomb left behind as a parting gift, her main goal being to grow as fast as possible; she'll start laying eggs that will also hatch as sub adults instead of larva, often referred to as “nannies”, their mission being to gather all the food they can to allow the princess to develop faster while fiercely guarding her >once it’s reached the size of a cat, the princess will then start to emit a trail of pheromones with the purpose of attracting any drones that might be in the area, with the nannies also going on hunts for bachelors, often from other wandering queens; these escorts aren't pretty, as the nannies will jump any drone they find and carry them back to their princess, sometimes chewing their wings off to make sure they don't fly away, although once a drone catches the scent of the fresh princess, they'll stop struggling entirely; the preferred ratio for drones is two on each side for every abdomen, so 12 drones in total, this is because the only purpose of the drones is to become sperm banks for the princess, their endophallus which is tipped with a spear piercing through the queen’s abdomen straight into the ovarian ducts (which are positioned in such way that they run across the sides of the abdomen); in time, the drones lose virtually all physical traits, becoming nothing but writhing white maggots once their heads fall off, sinking more and more into the princess's abdomen until they eventually look like small bumps and then are completely covered by her exoskeleton, fully merging with her ovaries >after it's all said and done, the now fertilized queen will triple her egg production, the remaining nannies raising the future workers while creating the foundation for their hive on the queen’s abdomens using their own wax, afterwards they'll let the workers continue, finally dying, often all at the same time; with the small honeycombs finally established, the new queen will leave her temporary home behind, venturing out into the world on a never ending quest to find sources of pollen and nectar for the nest (2/?)
>>41570 >overall, the entire process from newly hatched princess to queen takes around a month, rarely ever going past that as it's very important for the new nest to be established as quickly as possible while making sure the princess is well fed and growing properly >Handenshan queens prefer more open areas like fields or forests with a lot of space between trees, often avoiding any areas that'd be difficult to traverse or too narrow despite their multitude of legs and robust bodies, not liking whenever detritus gets caught on their combs or a part of the nest gets damages thanks to a stray branch or another outside interference >if a queen loses one of its segments, either because of predation or something else, the entire colony will stop doing everything they were doing and focus on both repairing any extra damage that might've been inflicted, while the queen will produce a special type of egg similar to the one princesses hatch from, except all three will resemble the lesser siblings; the workers will kill two of them and then force feed the other with a substance not too different from royal jelly, accelerating its growth as they try to make it reach a certain size that'll allow it to properly connect with the queen despite still being smaller than the rest of the matriarch; once the connection is established, the new body segment will swell to the size of the others in only a matter of days, after which the worker can then start building the new honeycombs once the exoskeleton solidified; if a queen loses two of the abdomens, the colony will undergo a similar process, but the overall production of the hive will be severely stammered thanks to the need to reconstruct so much of the nest, queens in this position often going into hiding until they've fully healed; if all three segments are lost, then that spells the death of the queen as that means she lost her original abdomen and she can't regrow it, but this won't mean the death of the colony itself (3/?)
>>41571 >in the event of this happening, the remaining workers will select one of them and start feeding them another special kind of royal jelly made from chewed up sperm from the drones, creating what's referred to as a surrogate queen, her only purpose being to lay the important royal egg; after this, the surrogate is swiftly killed and the workers take care of the egg until the new princesses hatch, after which the cycle starts a new, except that now the princess will have an entire colony to ensure her growth >while spread across West and South Takamagahara, Handensha Bees are more densely packed in the center area of the land, right where the Mother Tree resides, as the year round cherry tree forests are the perfect environment for these arthropods, with flowers in abundance and winters being only rain showers or powder falls >outside of the sanctuary that the Sakura Forests offer, Handensha Bees cope with the wintery season by going into hibernation; once the temperature drops to a certain degree, queens will stop producing eggs, wait for all remaining larvae to mature and then start looking for abandoned dens deep underground or cave entrances, which are quite abundant thank to Takamagahara’s underground network of caverns; once they've found their appropriate spot, the queens will begin to tear the honeycombs off their backs, piling them all up in one corner of their chamber while gorging themselves of the bigger ones their scrape off; this serves as both one last meal before going to sleep and to recycle her worker's wax, as once full, the queen will begin to seal the entrance of her room with a thick wax wall (4/?)
>>41573 >throughout the winter, the queen will phase in and out of sleep, occasionally consuming some of the honeycombs before falling back into her deep slumber, her workers also feeding on the honey to try and stay alive, however they'll barely touch most of the supply as that's reserved for their monarch; most of the colony will actually perish during this period, leaving only the toughest of workers to survive >once spring arrives, the queen will tear down the wax wall and once again venture out into the world, whatever workers left quickly rebuilding the honeycombs for the new generation of bees and honey supplies; however, after one or two months of slumber, the queen will also be very hungry, which is where one of the more sinister sides of these bees emerges >while the workers feed exclusively on nectar and other sweet juices, the queen is an omnivore with a taste for meat, she will fill most of her diet with succulent plants, fruit and bamboo shoots, along with the occasional mushrooms and tree bark, but she'll also happily munch on carrion, her jaws scrapping every last bit of meat off of the bones and if possible, even lick the marrow, but if she's truly starving, she will engage in a form of predation >in these types of scenarios, the queen, after picking an appropriate target, will slowly walk bedsides the unsuspecting victim, trying to make it seem like it's only passing by and it has business somewhere else; once it feels that the animal has left its guard down, she'll emit a powerful pheromone that'll excite every single worker, causing them to become unnaturally aggressive, an “attack order” so to speak, diving onto anything that was too close to the colony, enveloping them like a living blanket of buzzers, stinging with reckless abandon; unlike their honeybee ancestors, Handensha Bee stingers are perfectly smooth, being more comparable to that of a wasp, meaning that they can sting repeatedly, and their venom is even more potent, a single sting causing the skin to dry and become white, rough and flaky, incredibly itchy and painful to the touch; if several thousands of these stings are applied all at the same time, they can cause muscle paralysis and symptoms similar to anaphylactic shock, death following fairly quickly once the target loses consciousness (5/?)
>>41574 >it doesn't even matter how far the animal runs away, as the bees will cling to its skin and keep stinging until they actually drop dead themselves from exhaustion, the more persistent workers following the animal for kilometers all while leaving a trail of pheromones that'll guide the queen; once she's reached her prize, she'll greedily start feasting, not stopping until she's stripped the carcass of every last lick of meat, feeding to her pleasure as she knows that any potential scavenger that’d try to approach the body or even her honeycombs will taste that same assault of painful stings that her meal did >this is also how this type of arthropod is even able to walk around with so much caloric gold on her back with zero fear, one single order, and the entire colony descends with the fury of a god on anything that dares to try its luck; it cannot be stressed enough, though, that this predatory behavior only occurs if the queen is truly hungry, a sentiment that mostly manifests during spring time after they've emerged from hibernation, which is why many that live in Handensha territory often refer to spring as “The blood honey season” >still, even though they only get this level of aggressive during one season, they can still be dangerous if provoked, but this hasn't stopped others from trying to harvest these wonders of nature, as West Takamagahara is renowned for their Handensha Honey, specifically the Hachigao brand of honey; this is because just like their ancestors, Handensha Bees are weak to smoke, especially the one with very potent smelling wood when burned, causing them to drop from the air and wiggle on the ground, the queen being especially affected as she loses all strength in her legs and just collapses, making honey harvesting very easy; it is tradition to only harvest half of the amount of honey on each abdomen segment in order to allow the colony to rebuild itself quickly and to never strip the entire supply of honey off of a queen; (6/6)
>>41564 The easier question is which factions couldnt beat or at least eternal war with the Solver probably the Vermintide, Tyranides, and any other animal / bug is fucked Necrons and Tau might be fucked Orks, Man, Eldar should be fine tho
>>41580 They probably wouldnt win but >Ork fight metal enemy >tin babes fight good >real good >Boyz kill tin babe >it resurrects to be killed again >scrap em, eat the meat, repeat sounds like Ork heaven, and the Solver mocks them back which they love
>>41583 Yeah, I kinda rushed this to be honest.(although I guess the dress genuinely being ugly does add to the joke in a way). What do you think correct shades of pink would be for all the parts (inner, outer, rope) would be or do you think some parts like the robe and small ribbon on the dress should be a different color for contrast?
>>41598 Maybe something like pic rel, like a more sunset-esque color palette, soft pinks that move in to a more peach tone (the blue is optional, but a contrasting color could help break it up)
>>40096 Holy shit Anon you delivered!! I can't belive it! Looks amazing!! Thanks for all the effort you put into it, I'm glad you found the idea as cool as I did! I'll get to work on finishing the last part of the story right away. Been stalling for a couple days, was busy with other life stuff.
>>41570 >In time, the drones lose virtually all physical traits, becoming nothing but writhing white maggots once their heads fall off, sinking more and more into the princess's abdomen.
So a little teaser for something else before I decide to introduce whaler drones as a concept. And totally not because I haven't finished my backlog of stuff or thinking it all through.
>The darkened halls of the subdeck truly unnerved the brave (or stupid) pair that had ignored the lazy warnings from the engineers tasked with sealing it up. >Long since abandoned after the crash, only a few beams and plates had been torn from their holdings by the abrupt impact. >Many on the USS Kavorn considered it lucky that the hull had only been breached in the hydroponics bay. >Well, many amongst the drone population anyway. >"I'm telling you Skip, there's gotta be something important down here if they're sealin' it off!" >Scruffy beanie lay atop the cracked plasteel skull of the more curious lad. His hands deftly tucked into the pockets of an old peacoat. One pair of cyan optics scanned the corridor cautiously, while the lime green of her compatriot's focused on the minutiae of the scenery. >'Skip' kept pace behind with the torch to illuminate the path past the right turn. >Hunching to maintain a lower profile despite her size. >"Rumours, " >"That's it." >Many had wondered what this section lead to. Some theorised it was the armoury. Others just wrote it off as another lab the humans intended to use before making planetfall. >It all came to a head at the next bulkhead. Sealed by a horrendously thick steel door. And a biometric lock. >"Rumours eh?" >Smug grins were enough to get on the first mate's nerves. But it dissipated. >"Bet you feel really silly now-" >"Shut it Crow!" >Right under the steps of slow footfall. >They hadn't seen anyone come in behind them. >"What the hell was that?"
>A figure revealed itself. Still cast in shadow from the unpowered maze of the subdeck. >They were both now in disblief.
>>41578 >>41579 They were entirely independent ideas drawn at different times, just conicidentally next to each other but certainly a good interpretation
>>41610 Sucks we don't get OC, but eh. MD is the definition of niche content, it can't even win a popularity contest on its own home turf. But that's probably for the best.
>vampires >who are unwittingly hosts to an inhuman meat horror that's looking out through their eyes Human versions of the DDs and witches would be Tzimisce. Be a good lad.
>>41610 We’ll get em next time Or the time after that Or the time after that Or the time after that Or the time after that …… The point is we’ll get them
>>41618 At the risk of sounding like I'm seething, it feels like most of that loss was due to spite voting rather than just because of who they were up against. Oh well, it was fun seeing all the OC anons made and I can't wait for more next year.
>>41624 I have doubts as to our longevity. If we're really lucky, Liam will start up Cliffside as a full series and we'll take Cordie to the top. Everyone loves Cordie, she's got a shot at it.
>>41646 I hope it'll be worth it. There's a slim population of artfags that I intend to bolster on my own (I also am extremely autistic and need to draw my own hyper-autist things before I forget them)
>>41616 To be honest we should have seen the L coming. Bejita made the ultimate sacrifice for us, and we all know how well that worked out the first time around with Buu.
>>41336 >Hollowness filled Adrian's chest when Emily asked the question. Then, he banished it. He was whole again, and he knew the answer to her question. >Adrian had asked himself it many times on many-a-cold, lonesome night after most of the humans on his exoplanet started dying out. >"Sure you do," he said casually. >Emily looked up at Adrian as if her internal processors had ceased entirely. >"Before I say it though, what makes you happy?" Adrian asked, aware he must've come across as teasing. >Emily thought for but a second before she found her answer. >"I've been coming here with my parents since I could walk, and-and just a few years ago, I started talking with our priest. He told me I was dedicated enough that one day, I'd get to have sermons of my own---commune with the other drones who come here." Emily spoke at such a rapid pace she ran out of breath by the time she finished. >"There," Adrian said, and then he was quiet. >Emily's eyes lit up a few shades brighter. Adrian thought he might go blind if he looked into those two light blue oval suns in her visor, but he looked anyways. He found a strange kinship with her he hadn't found with any other drone. >"I make the reason," Emily said with a growing smile. "*Me*. That's just. . . That's amazing, but it's so simple! Thanks, Adri!" >Whether she'd abandoned the moral to not so much as *look* at someone else for too long or her mental processors had heated so much out of the euphoria she felt at finally having an answer she---nobody else but *Emily*---made up, she leaned forward and wrapped Adrian in a tight, inescapable hug. >Emily's core felt warm in her chest, and this warmth wasn't shallow.
Part 4/? of True Faith
I might be delving into relationship stuff too quickly, but I still intend to focus on the philosophical stuff going on. It was a bit fun if not a tad tedious thinking up what answer would most make sense to give Emily some comfort in the unknown.
As always, I'm open to any critique and opinions from other Anons!
>Step 1: Have to get the poisoned Berry (difficult and hidden enough) >Step 2: Have to be there at the right time to feed it to the Boogi >Step 3: Can't have any other party member because they are either too morally good to help kill the Boogi, would fall for its charms, and worst of all no Sentinel drones period despite being the second strongest member type. >Step 4: Have to deplete the health bar once just to get it to realize youre actually trying to kill it, usually they are too bouncy and absorbent to be harmed at all >Step 5: Have to wait through the metamorphous animation every time >Step 6: NOW you can fight the boss >Step 7: tfw, its super hard anyways with constant regen, magic, and Oogi helpers I know the meme is "Dont attack the Boogi humie" but some of us want to 100% and putting this much effort to protect a meme character was pure bullshit
>>41628 I would like to see more of Negev, perhaps a drawing of her nightmare involving "The Great Wyrm". Or just her doing literally anything spooky or weird

>>41610 >>41616 >>41626 Remember, there is no fair play with these tournaments. Everyone's out to get their waifus to the top. Botting, spitevoting, organized efforts, multiple alt accounts in the case of having to use Gmail like this year. I wasn't expecting Murder Drones to get far, round 1 was good enough (Uzi was up against Wonder Woman, a major character in DC Comics. Cyn was up against Lapis, you should know SUG is still around. V was up against Miss Heed from Villainous and she's much more popular). Besides, these tourneys garner some of the nuttier anons and I'm glad to be knocked out early so they don't render Murder Drones threads unusable. I'm expecting the /co/ prime thread to be flooded for a while so I'm more inclined to stay here but it is what it is. Hopefully some of the anons there are more willing to try plus if that happens. >>41617 Lapis. She has fans and you have to remember SUG still exists. >>41624 Just do it for fun.
>>41711 I knew we were fucked as soon as I saw we were up against Bob, since she's the one conventionally attractive gem. With a lot of personality pre-barning, too. Still, people take that competition way too seriously, to the point that I'm honestly glad we washed out instantly. Better we get ridiculed once for losing immediately than dedicated hate forever for knocking out someone's favorite.
>>41689 The tourneys have always been rigged. See NightShiftAnon's incident or ask about it in the Ms. /co/ thread. There's no such thing as fair play anon.
>>41719 >better we get ridiculed once than dedicated hate Yeah. Though I'm sure the /co/ prime's thread vibe is gonna be sour for the week til the tourney passes. Not getting another thread schizo is a good thing, imo.
>>41732 >It was then that J stood up and realized something was off >If she was on Copper-9, then why was there grass? >But more importantly, why was there a grave marker for Tessa, despite the fact she died back on Earth 80 years ago >Suddenly in that moment, it hit her >This wasn't real >This was some weird twisted fictious scenario drawn up by some strange 4th Dimensional entity that was overly obsessed with Tessa >She chuckled, standing proudly she shouted to the sky >"C R I N G E!"
>>41721 Thank you. I've always had an affinity for humour and it has supported me throughout my life but I'm running out of laughs. Murder Drones is over and I don't see myself having a future.
I adore Alice so much it's unreal, I swear with her as motivation I'm gonna make it through mechanical engineering. Came home today and just the thought of her being there...oh my God. We are gonna make it, we are so fucking back bros. One thing I had to think of today was that scene where she takes the cable from 029's neck, it's so perfect holy shit. The way she precisely grabs it with just two fingers, pulls it out that smoothly, then the tail cuts it off (knife tail on WD gotta be proportionwise the pinnacle of design) with such a noise and the yellow sparks, obviously the knife is very sharp but it's also clear that the tail has much strength, the wire snaps almost immediately, nearly no slicing along the cutting edge needed. That's something in every scene where Alice works with something, the other one being where she fixes her finger, zhere are zero wasted mivements, such a smooth flow, so precise and professional, wow And then the way we see her over 029, pucking up the wire and doing that lovely head tilt to bring her antler down while we see that smile of hers, Jesus Christ I always loved that shot especially but it hits tenfold today. Really any head movemenz of Alice have that, no matter how little the Anzlers always move much more due to how far they protrude, it has sometging so endeering and cute really ah Thought zhis half a year afo already but guessed I shouldn't say such zhings, but I zhink iz won'r change, for now, I cannit imagine being in love with anything that's not Alice really. We fuckin won bros
>>41740 I swear I wasn't thinking of Femanon when writing that. I was mostly thinking of the Rimworld mod I failed to make and how funny it would be to have a DD with 20 in Medical.

>>41759 >Bugretta is now in the competition and wins every bracket by default >The rest of the contest is derailed by people posting berries and saying "vote for [character] for berry", immediately winning if they can post it faster than their opponent can >If someone shit-talks Boogi the thread immediately hits autosage from "bit me" replies
>>41761 >Greedy Oogis see posts saying if they vote for X girl they will receive Berri >Desperately they vote >tfw no Berri >hundreds of "Where Berri" posts after the round only to met with reaction images and trolling >tfw this action against the Boog has branded them a heretic >tfw if found out they will be Fo oh Fo'd for being "Bad Oogs" >Tfw, still no berri
>>41760 school, various dramas, and the changing of the seasons does that for ya
Unsure if its gona get better or worse, but i can feel a "seasonal depression" hitting this winter with MD We must brave it, lest we falter and fall to the wayside
Now draw/write smut. Preferably Sentinel Drones. And before you fags say 'do it yourself', I already am.
Honestly I'm not bothered by ms. /co/ at all, I'm only dreading the fact that it will be impossible to have an MD thread on /co/ for the rest of the month without baitfags coming out of the woodworks.
>>41774 (me) I assume we're going to have to make it ourselves, eh? Alright I recommend we use this. https://wheelofnames.com/ Also here's the OC Deck that's already outdated, we're missing some. Current deck is somewhat outdated as well as missing a couple OCs that never got any art/mention when it was being created. I will attempt to put in as many unknowns as I can into my wheel
Just saw that two of my Ivory drawings were posted on the booru and I was tagged as Vicious Fiend, I'm not Vicious Fiend lol I'm pretty sure this is the second time someone has mistaken me for them
Good morning, folks. >>41604 Yes, I've always had a fascination with these bizarre things and wanted to reference their crazy mating process in at least one of my creations. Wasn't expecting the giant bee to be the one, but here we are. >>41713 Dunno, like I said, this is more fitting for my specific setting than MD's overall one, but if the the people over at the booru general give it the ok, then go for it. >>41745 Thanks! Writing about animals will always bring out my real power level, so I'm glad you love it.
>>41805 >>41806 > Thad jumps behind the bed > Shuffling and rummaging > Thalia stands up, striking a pose > Femanon recoils back and hisses, and scampers away on all fours
>>41807 >After Thalia "returns", she is forced into multiple conversations from Lizzy to explain what exactly she was doing in another system let alone a planet that was filled with Pirates >Thalia has no idea what the fuck any of them are talking about and just goes along with it
>>41808 >Anon walks in, wondering what the hell the gremlin was running past shrieking about >He shoots Thalia some finger guns, then pauses >"Uh... nice dick, Thalia?"
>>41794 Thinking about unspoken OC's randomly made me remember that someone make a human OC named Roland So here's this completely unrelated thing that popped into my head >Be Roland, retired mercenary >Have wife and unborn child back on earth >Get called up by an old friend from another system that he needs some help for a job >While you're over there helping your friend then some crazy news hits >Earth is fucking gone, and it's apparently JCJensens fault >Go full murderhobo mode against JCJ for killing your wife and unborn kid >Become public enemy #1 and have JCJ hunting you down >Old mentor shows up, says she can help you get close to the person responsible for everything >You've got nothing else to lose >Go through with it and somehow end up transported to some weird old mansion >Encounter a strange robot maid >She questions how you got here >You don't really want to give away any info so you lie and say you were just walking down the street and somehow ended up here >She waves her hand at you and vaporizes all your limbs >Bleed out and die >Wake up back in the manor, your limbs are fine, in fact, you feel better than ever >The robot maid is standing over you >Says her name is Cyn >She doesn't care how you got here but you'll make a good pet >You're now her personal servant >Turns out there are a bunch of other drones here too >All of them dislike Cyn, and treat you with disdain for being her lapdog >You and these other drones get sent out on missions to kill people and collect "organic mass", i.e. dead bodies, for Cyn >Even end up dying a bunch of times, but Cyn always brings you back >It seems Cyn is the one responsible for your wife's death >But she's completely untouchable for the moment, so you just have to play along as her obedient pet until a moment finally reveals itself >Cyn has been getting strangely close to you recently, so the chance might be closer than you think
>>41793 >>41794 Working on assembling a list, currently have as many humans as I can think of including some that have only gotten a few greens and no art. I'll begin work on drones soon enough.
Do you think Bugretta's have different variations like Oogis do? For context I don't mean Bugretta's with different interests, I mean Bugretta's that function differently Or do all Oogis just get the same boring Bugretta if they get their Hive big enough?
>>41827 You can rarely get one that prefers a different science fiction series. Star Trek is common, but I've heard of one that prefers Red Dwarf of all things.
>>41833 We know about Bugretta's with different interests, one of them forces their Oogis to write Murder Drones fanfiction to make-up for the current lack of season 2. But I meant like specifically species types, Oogis have Predator Oogis, Toxic Oogis, Alpha, Ogie...etc
But in all seriousness, I don't know most of the thread OCs enough to fuck around with them. Still don't feel comfortable with canon characters. That, and inspiration must strike me, never the other way around.
>>41789 I know you're pulling from the OC deck but Julia Williams doesn't really have to be there. She's part of SD-L's past but as a character, there's not much to her since she's a secondary character (In writing, there are primary/secondary/tertiary characters and each type has their own purpose in a story). If you can replace her with another human character who features more prominently in their story, that'd be great or maybe even put Negev in her place. I'm Julia/BHL's writer/drawer
Just checked the booru, guess I'm buffanon now, huh? Guess it will take a while for the mods to tag all my works. (to make things easier, start with the Mitchell drawings since a majority of them are by me)
>>41877 But Dirt's a worker drone so I don't think Switch'll do that unless Dirt provokes her with her overtly sexual advances. I think Switch would just tie Dirt up and leave her in the janitor closet
>>41878 >Dirt thinks Switch would be another easy target to her sexcapades like Femdrone >She gropes Switch's butt with her tail hand and before she knows what is going on, she gets suplexed and tied up >Switch tosses her in the local janitorial closet as she's left in the darkness confused and wondering what just happened
>>41895 I think it had red eyes? >>41896 I'm sure that will not scare a drone away. >>41897 It is a ghost? I mean, it disappears as soon as I look at it, maybe.
So tell me, how'd you guys get your own board on an altchan? My community would be interested in doing that. I wanna know! Do you have a guy on the inside as it were?
>>41919 after we got booted from /co/ back in april there was a general mass migration over here, since there isn't much activity the admins took notice of all of the buzz and gave us a board, simple as
>>41919 Here's roughly how it went down >Murder Drones threads started being made on plus's /co/ board following the thread restrictions on 4chan's /co/ >Activity within the Murder Drones threads picked up traction as many of the regular posters made the migration >Because plus's /co/ is a relatively slow board, and because the dronetism is so strong, this resulted in Murder Drones threads practically taking over /co/'s front page >Black Hand (the based site developer) took notice, and after a couple months of back to back mammoth-sized threads (averaging 1000-1500 posts) deemed it more appropriate for us to have our own board
One thing of note is that, according to Black Hand, this wasn't the first time something like this has happened on plus; Several of the side boards were created due to similar influxes of activity over specific topics
>>41919 We're active. We have people making stuff and people who just enjoy talking about the show and the fanart, several threads hit over 900 posts since we got to plus /co/. Site admin made a consideration for a new board, asked us for name suggestions, made one and we moved here. Simple as.
>>41663 >>41795 I'm ever so glad I went through with the OC autism, I was a little nervous since I'm not a stellar writer and I tended to lean into design aesthetics that's closer to the show. So they don't exactly pop out that much, but I guess that's who I am as a person. Glad some of you like the dumbsquad. >>41927 Fuckin' sick!
>>41934 You can do proper rolls here with [Xroll 1d124X] for example, just remove the Xs roll 1d124:122 I wonder if they give you only the result if you do 2 roll 2d124:117+21 = total 138
>>41928 Honestly, using design aesthetics that are closer to the show actually works really well if you ask me since it makes it look like they belong in the universe instead of getting stuck in the overdesigned “my OC is more special than yours” pitfall.
>>41955 Hmm Well even if you don't have the numbers to fill out a board you could still have yourself a thread on plus's /co/. Unlike 4chan's /co/ there's no pruning of threads so even the lowest of activity topics can remain open to replies! This is assuming that your fandom is /co/ related of course, although there are some boards relegated to other topics (anime, traditional tabletop, ect) that could work as well
>>41860 I hate to sound indecisive but I think in your artstyle, both looks great. I think it's because your proportion and forms are, for a lack of a better word, tight. Like, they're precise and well-conveyed.

More pink clothing shenanigans, now with artistic advice from >>41600. The pastel colors were definitely an improvement over the loud Barbie pink I used earlier but I am the most partial to the one that just has pink bows. Original outfit is still the best though.
>Fun Morning OC Facts: Jane would unironically fuck Sonic.exe if given the chance, in fact in her younger years she wrote several pieces of self-insert fanfiction about her seducing the crappy pasta: She will take this to her grave
>>41984 Doing fine, getting ready for a short day of work tomorrow, but also one that starts early in the morning so I sure won't be a zombie by the end of it.
>>41984 I'm doing alright, I have someone out for me at my job right now, but it's nothing I haven't dealt with before. I'm transferring in a couple of months so I'm trying to lay low until then. My cat also has also been out of the ICU for a couple of weeks now so I'm continuing to monitor his health.
>>42011 With schizophrenic pacing, forgetting plot points, killing off characters before they are fully developed, forgetting character interaction, and having a disappointing ending?
>>41960 Yeah, it's /co/. That would be viable, if not for one attenuating circumstance, you see we have a genuine schizophrenic autist that hounds us down everywhere we go and spams to high hell, a very committed permaban evader who I don't want to bring here, so unless I can somehow gain mod status to keep him out, all that might accomplish is pissing everyone here off. So it's tricky, but I think I'm working it out. For now I think I'm just going to stick around a bit and scope this place out some more.
>>42245 >NTA Blackhand seems to be ontop of that kind of thing, you should be fine. We had a few shitters here but it's all practically been taken care of it
