> Be Serial Designation N > Uncurl from your upside-down sleeping position in the Spire > Expect to be greeted by the usual morning grind > J calling you useless and terrible > V ignoring your attempts to connect > Smiling pleasantly while waiting for the chance to go hunting > Instead of any of this, you find the spire conspicuously empty > No sign of the other two at all > The silica-snow isn't even scuffed to indicate they flew off > Normally you would go looking for them, but the last time you left without J's permission you got your wings torn off > You do what any good and loyal disassembler would do and settle in to wait. > And wait. > And wait some more. > The moon is high in the sky and beaming down through a hole in the top of the spire > You shake your limbs a bit to circulate the lubricant > Maybe J left a message for you? > OS doesn't pick up anything, but there's always the pod and its (busted) computer > You fly down and check the pod > There's a large black suitcase sitting on the dashboard with an envelope on top of it > Since when did physical letters make a comeback? > Obviously, something with the official JCJenson Seal is meant for the squad leader, so you should probably not mess with it > You decide to wait a little more > a little longer > Until it finally clocks to check who the letter is addressed to > It's for you! > Serial Designation N-0X00101001 > "In light of recent activities (unauthorized physical discipline and mental taxation by SD-J and SD-V)-" > J wasn't authorized to rip off your legs, crack your chestplate, and spit in your boiling circuitry as a disciplinary measure? > Wowie! You didn't know she could break the rules in the first place! > "-and in light of your recent achievements (not tearing into your squadmates like a can-opener), we at JCJenson in Spaaaaace~ have elected to transfer your teammates to another sector." > What. > "You have been officially promoted to Squad Leader of this region-" > What. > "-with free reign over its drones." > What. > "In recognition of your damage, you have been provided two stress-toys in the likeness of your teammates. Sincerely, Little Buddy (Management)." > You swallow thickly and open the suitcase with trembling hands. > Plush renditions of J and V staring up at you with stitched-on smiles. > You're all alone now. Friendless. A failure. > No J to greet in the dusk while she calls you a worthless liability. > No V to catch the attention of while she forgets your one-letter name. > The ice-cold grip of isolation worms its way into your core as you stare down at the dolls the company gave you. > Dolls who are very soft to your tactile sensors and will definitely not obliterate your self esteem. > You squeeze the V doll and something hard in its chest clicks as it says "I love you!" in her voice. > ... You can work with this.
> Unbeknownst to you, each doll had a very familiar Disassembly Drone core stitched into the stuffing. > They keep trying to ping you but can only message each other. > It's mostly verbally ripping into each other over their new predicament.
>>395591 >>395594 >>395603 Real talk, N not being able to brain too good no more so he's forgotten the depths of his capacity for evil should have been gone harder with than just that glimpse we saw in episode 7. Like, final battle, Vore GLaDOS keeps laying N on his ass by unblocking more and more of his memories from between his death at the mansion and his most recent respawn. N's repeatedly shut down using psychic flashbangs we are shown as flashes of him gleefully doing horrible things to drones and humans alike. N's less and less able to fight as his perception of who he is as a person gets worn away. It all culminates in N being presented with his Last Temptation: if he will submit, once again accept his place as the Absolute Solver's most special fella of all, it will help him forget it all again. His life as a butler, the depths of his bloodlust and sadism, the sensitive, needy girl who loves him, all of it. He can have his peace of mind back, and all it would cost him is Uzi and everyone else on Copper-9... Even if he hadn't narrowly missed the core it stole from Cyn, Vore GLaDOS is genuinely surprised when its offer is met with N cutting it in half with that laser from episode 1.
>>395630 >Blackhand wouldn’t do us like that, he’s smart No, I'm just sometimes in the right place at the right time. That's all it takes to make history.
>>395636 it was actually because the company in charge of php verification or whatever was supposed to be using passkeys that were a hundred characters long but instead used the number 4. yes really.

>>395625 Well part of the problem with that is he already KNOWS he did horrible things to people: he remembers Copper-9 after all; corpse spire he helped build, people V tortured, prey he himself "played" with and all.
Given he dosen't seem to value humans over drones I don't see the "reveal" impacting him much. He knows he kills people. He knows he eats them. Hell that's even part of why he offloaded the moral burden of making decisions onto Uzi in eps 1/2: he seems to have set his moral anchor on a combination of "doing my job(well)" and "relationships with close friends," so killing a bunch of randos wouldn't see any more than the mild guilt he gets from Doll's prom accusation.
In other words: his self image dosen't CARE about killing people. That dosen't make him a "bad person"(in his eyes) even if they were the "wrong" people to kill. What would make him a bad person would be fucking up his relationships with/failing to protect his loved ones like V, Tessa, Uzi, and even Cyn; things Cyn DID play off of with her visions.
Tldr: Even by end-of-series he dosen't give so much as an Uzi level shit about "innocent people" or "the workers," so he wouldn't be affected by showing he did horrible things to them.
>>395637 > "ok oogi, you need to put in a password number for this. make it the biggest number you can imagine" > the oogis hand hovers over the keyboard > looks at its other hand > counts all 4 of its fingers > yes, this will work

Ever heard "a million is a statistic?" Now consider that with 10 million or even billions: genocide of a solar system isn't going to hit him harder than the death of Earth, and it's not like the procedure(rip and tear until it's done) would be different between them.
Besides that the entire foundation of N's moral system since episode 2 has been "you can commit mass murder/torture(of innocents) and still be a good person." Showing him he commited even MORE mass murder isn't going to rattle him for the same reason it wouldn't rattle V. Everything they are, do, think, and feel is based around making that okay, so there's no reason it would be "less okay" to do it in a different time and place.
...at least in the middle of the fight that is. N's morals might change some time post-cannon, especially with Uzi "the normies should live" Doorman dating him. And as for what happens when he starts to care...
>>395654 That wasn't the question. What is YOUR definitions of a mutant? I'm not asking out of bad faith or to bait you, I'm genuinely curious and want to understand the point you're trying to make.
>>395658 see >>395656 >>395637 in short: jeets being retards inexplicably put in charge of crucial infrastructure. again. glory to offshoring and antiracism
>>395659 jeets being a problem was another, unrelated issue and it's literally yesterdays news (an indian company issued TLS certs with so weak ciphers that anyone could forge them).
todays problem was OpenAI finding a vulnerability in PHP that affected every version going 20 year back and allowed the attacker full code execution on the server (ie. a game over scenario). Most sites just went offline to make sure they were not affected.
>>395650 >>395644 Impression I always got, both while watching and in retrospect, was that: >N has a lot of repressed guilt that he's extremely reluctant to acknowledge because it'd take him down a whole deep dark rabbit hole if he did, but hints of it get through here and there (e.g. "I deserve this" as he (implicitly painfully) saws his cave-in-trapped arm off) >Uzi is a maladjusted autistic wreck whose moody shit-ness conflicted with her longing for the validation and positive attention she wasn't getting at home, then once she started getting a fanclub who'd give her validation and positive attention she stopped giving a flying fuck about normalfags (her only concern when talking with N about her feeding frenzy was her fear he'd think less of her for it), but with all the shit on her plate by the ending she's back to where she was at the start (i.e. she wants the approval of normalfags but doesn't want to behave herself around them because she'd look like she's going soft/selling out; please be patient, she has autism) because her fanclub alone is proving insufficient for her psychological/emotional needs
>>395668 (me) >>395650 >>395644 Forgot to mention another, new reason Uzi (as of the ending) doesn't want to become someone normalfags would want to be around even though she wants their approval: she wants to give off the impression that she's fine and everything's fine with her, and if she started acting differently all of a sudden people would start asking questions
