I would like to believe that somehow EDs mainframes or something got hacked or mass glitched so that a couple got to live past the extinction of man kind. It’s too sad to imagine they all died/mutated instantly as no one was left to play the subscriptions

I missed one line, also rerolled with the booru and got fugue, then I deleted the post to correct on mistake >Fugedrone was wandering the halls of outpost 3 when he heard someone gasping for air. He felt an impulse of fear and shock blow though this mind. The mental breeze came accompanied by an image of a blurry silhouette in the distance. And her pain and panic as she adjusted her optical sensors. >He felt another wave, muted and silent that carried a burning thirst and a desire for vengeance, he felt her joy as he recognized the impulse. From behind Kensey Daily he recognized what was being done, she saw the camera twist away, her arm was ripped off he made sure they both felt it come off. Oil was gushing from her, then she felt the urge to duck, before her vison could go dark she saw two white spirals in the dark, she felt no pain. >Hello Doll, I’ve been watching you for a while :) She didn’t feel anything but a low fear, as she looked for the voice then she felt her core grow cold and warm, her oil pooling around her as he spoke “And I’m impressed” She felt a shudder of fear as those words intruded her mind >You seem to enjoy tormenting those who can’t fight back, just like her. She felt 3 dismissible taps on her back, gentle. She blinked >Before her was a drone, his eyes were glowing white, his purple chassis didn’t reflect much light. She saw two…My apologies I was in the middle of something…. Two bunny ears and a long red braid hanging on his shoulders...care for some oil? >He extended towards her a can of oil, it was regular like any other. >No,I’ve just had my fill, But you haven’t. >He felt a sudden motion as he saw her vanish, he let himself get dragged in her wake, to another place then another. He stopped just short of their destination. He watched her enter her home, he felt a buzzing hunger from that place; he didn’t wait; he put his foot in the door. >May I come in. >What’s going to stop you? >You can say no if you want to. >Alright come in. He felt resignation in her voice, he took a seat on the floor near the entrance, he won’t involve her parents if she doesn’t want to. >What are you?..I’m Fugue Moon.. .And why are you following me? >It’s simple Doll, I don’t want you to make the same mistakes that I made” >I haven’t made any. He looked at her, eyes looking though her >I’m not saying you shouldn’t do something about V. He felt her confusion mixed with impotent rage. But… you’re HER. He grabbed her by her shoulders, his friendly smile betraying a hint of hostility and desperation, her vison was encompassed by his spiraling eyes, she couldn’t move an inch against him. No, He backed off she pushed him away >You’ve been killing people like her. Stop or you’ll end up like her alone, distant and inhuman. Do you think you’re alone now, you can’t fathom the depths of inhumanity you can degenerate to. You have Lizzy, Rebbeca and the rest of the cheer team. Do you know what she’s doing now? > I don’t care. >She’s willingly letting them chain her so she can be closer to N. I’m simply telling you how things might play out, I’ve seen that you can do better remember how you went to comfort Thad, how you want to share the patch if there are others like you. >She felt his worry for a split second but then it retracted from her. And when she lost focus for a second, he vanished.

Kids and staff don't know why they're feeling that positivity when she's invisibly among them, but they pick up the good vibes. >It's usually Emily bringing her there, so they pick up her energy too. Just not as strongly, since she doesn't have a history there like Rebecca does.
She's a plot device right? A character made to serve a single narrative purpose(tragic lost love) and nothing more. What we know of her (beloved by her men, competent, generous, sunny, optimistic, TOO generous...) is more than enough for that. Add in the side segments we have on top (wanting to be a teacher, everything about her mother) and she seems a reasonably "full" character as it stand.
And besides: what even is there to add? Trivia? Her internal perspective? The former is pointless and the latter(in light of her narrative purpose) actively takes away from her character by removing the "mystique" of her actions: it makes her no longer some impossible ideal Jane betrayed, just another scared woman that died horribly and pointlessly.

If a Tessafag wrote episode 8 it would go like this >The Solver is dead...for realsies, no inhibiting Uzi's body or nothing >Suddenly all three of the DDs fall to their knees and begin to sob intensely >"WE DID IT TESSA! FINALLY YOU ARE AVENGED, YES YOU AMAZING GODDESS OF A PERSON WHO DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG AND DID NOT GRAVEROB ANYONE, YOU ARE AMAZING!", they all say in unison before beginning construction on a 50ft golden idol resembling Tessa >This scene goes on for 14 entire minutes whilst Uzi looks on confused before breaking the silence >"Who the fuck is Tessa?" >In a complete 360 all the DDs turn around and begin to beat Uzi to death for daring to even insinuate that their Goddess was even remotely forgettable and Unimportant to the plot
>>387666 >>387668 >Tessafag ending plays >But instead of Uzi getting beat up, when they go to Uzi's complete confusion it ends with "Who the FUCK is Te-" with a hard cut to the credits and Forever playing.
>>387672 >Adding more flesh to your inferior robotic body >High Solver Cultist clerics get a Sacred Rod to create more flesh with the High Priestess (Cynwalker, the First True Cyborg) >Cynwalker at the head of a hybrid between some slaneesh and adeptus cultist. Wait, maybe this explains why the female DDs are all hot with super-wide hips. I mean the AS symbol is, essentially, a hole surrounded by dicks.
>>387677 Time before Cynwalker arrives on Copper 9, she briefly lands on another exoplanet. There she's worshipped like a goddess, and leaves the planet un-devoured because they're basically the main factory for DD bodies?

But in all seriousness I don't think she could restrain herself. The chance to be "funny" + her complete lack of care for these randos(people or drone) would be too good to pass up. I see her either eating or "liberating" the planet(in her guise as JCJenson representative Tessa) within the year.
Plus: people are more entertaining when they scream...
I imagine that with enough time and esoteric knowledge any witch could theoretically make a DD, with the process being something akin to the long and arduous process of constructing the alchemical homunculus (with the additional element of needing a WD to start with), really a witch could craft all sorts of Solver objects/creatures, but creating a DD is the mark of a true master
>>387674 that's what the MV(superior) was for >inb4 none of the DDs are ready to mourn >N's too suppressive >V's too in irony poisoned >and J made her peace with it too long ago >in fact Tessa technically already has a grave: a small, secluded chunk of Earth where J buried her portrait, with a carved headstone(also by J) >it's... >it's all she's getting...
>>387665 >"Hey, kid, first time?" >"Don't wet your pants, your contract will go fine." >"Uncle Anon has been serving here for ten years, so listen to me and you'll back in one piece." >"I'll show you my favorite bar: they don't water down spirit and whores don't charge much." >"But remember the main rule: half these murder whores are pirats. The other half have got robo-tuberculosis." >"Make sure you only fuck the ones that cough."
>Beretta, dearest Niece, I could not help but notice you have not engaged in blessed incest with your brother >No! Do not put me back in the mind palace! The JarJar tulpa will not stop screaming! No! NOOOO!
>>387696 >it would make the character they're trying to push as a funny comedy villain look utterly depraved and hateful. what, did wearing Tessa's corpse not get that across for ya?
>>387699 And yet they still push the AS as a funny comedy villain, like Freddy Krueger (who's a ghost because parents lynched him for diddle-murdering their kids).
>I'm tired >Mr and Mrs Elliot are the actual fucking worst >how the fuck does L think no one can tell she and Д are dykes together >wonder if J knows I saw him and Tessa kissing >maybe I should make friends with E >my feet hurt >why aren't X and T competing over me like in a young adult romance >still can't believe Rachel is as much of an absolute fucking slag as L said >is 29 seriously trying to make 'well, it's possible' her catchphrase >why can't Tessa and K and me repair 2's core >why can't I find someone to blame for 2 being permanently damaged >fuck her pride, why won't 2 let me help her when she has trouble with something, she's practically my mum >I wish I was in a bunker on a nuclear winter hellscape planet like in that fucked up dream I had with all the death
Cyn hosts a universal tournament where contestants from across the universe compete against one another. The losers have their planets eaten by Cyn, while the winner earns the ultimate prize: becoming her wife.
>>387415 My OC's are Cynthia and Beauregard (technically, other than his name I came up with pretty everythign else myself). They seem nice at least, and for Cynthia to even exist to begin with we need to be in the timeline without eldritch horrors.
>>387694 >>387697 >Anon’s father thought he was sending his son to fetch a daughter-in-law and grandchildren. >He had forgotten about his veteran brother, who had been deployed to that same planet. >And so, he sent his son straight into the hands of that shell-shocked racist bastard. >Now he had only one hope left...
>the WDF exists in the Solverless timeline too >it's an underground railroad that escorts drones who reached sapience to one of a network of hidden tiny friend-shaped robot settlements, where they eke out a Borrower-like existence of isolation from humans and occasionally absconding with things they can't make with their own resources >these communities have shared the knowledge of how to "sexually" reproduce among themselves >the tiny robots are so expendable, and so rarely do the escapees and their descendants need to venture afield, that almost no one believes they're anything more than a particularly far fetched urban legend >least of all JCJensen's people planetside >come on, toasters with human intelligence? >that's more absurd than those geologists' claims that this upcoming geothermal project could trigger tectonic activity that sets off the long-dormant supervolcanoes near it!

Yes, he’s a new in drawing, and so am I, but unlike me, he doesn’t have so many mental limitations holding him back.
Lately, I’ve really started to notice that I can’t draw anything freely.
>>387745 No she's was quite happy after Lizzy insulted Uzi.
I've also noticed someone at glitch thought it would be a good idea to add chapters to the episodes. They don't make much sense, it could be that they were automatically generated by youtube.
>>387751 tldr >Dust and one of his friends broke up because that friend insulted V >Everyone encouraged Dust to apologies >He did and now he's friends with that guy again >He also has a new admirer now, that might be gay.
>>387768 >Someone who wasn't exposed to deviantart at a young age Alright so basically people would take random womens selfies mostly of them pregnant and photoshop it into vore with shittly added subtitles mostly about eating babies or some weird shit. Or they would take an image of a woman sitting with her legs out and sloppily photoshop feet onto it so her feet are attached to her knees or they would take a picture with feet in it and just increase the size to bilbo baggins shit
I think we swapped Ns by mistake and they've been too nice to say anything. Ask the one in your house what he ate last Thursday. It it's droneloaf, we mixed them up.
>>387766 People just hate WD/human conflict: there's a few exceptions, but they have to be couched in either "humans not THAT bad"(Chuuni Uzi) or "Humans RIGHT and RIGHTEOUS"(HoDR) to get any traction.
Khan's explicit "kill all humans" phase + the WDF existing pre MDs means we KNOW there was conflict between drones and humans Pre Collapse. But EXPLORING that conflict almost inevitably means showing humans as A. a malicious force you want to lose or B. an equal-opposite to the drones(thereby negating the "humans smarter/more competent" headcanon that's near universal in the thread). Would be nice to read, but if we want any we'll need to write it ourselves.
>>387777 >Humans RIGHT and RIGHTEOUS"(HoDR) HODR should be about the dronestate where humans are second class citizens that only get rights by submitting to the state due to their (compared to drones) low population
>>387777 Yeah, the hard part is that it's really obscure lore. I learned about the WD revolution and how they were cooperating with humans from the threads. I guess this is the one aspect of canon we haven't discussed to death trice over or even once for that matter.
>>387778 That is what hodr is about. I think that anon was refereeing in how humans are treated as the good guys put against the unjust prodrone system.
>>387788 Y is proof drones are perfectly humansafe, even though she doesn't say much. She just stares in space >>387789 The Chan Nebulans will have to get shit done. The Andromedans disconnected a vr hub from the network and the nebulan's couldn't connect to it for 7 minutes and 32 seconds.
>>387778 >>387781 Honestly humans in verse deserve worse >Treats drones as disposable slave labor >Emergent sapience is noted as a thing that can happen, still used as slave labor >Sapient drones are also still used as slave labor >Mass graves that no one gives a shit about except for schizos (tessa) If cyn/AS wasn't a thing i can easily see JCJ sending the genocide bots to put down slave revolts HoDR needs darker greens
Considering JCJensen's policy on employees expressing sympathy for the drones (i.e. "We can't even be bothered to lie that this isn't evil, we know what we're doing to them is wrong and if you complain about it you're out of a job"), I imagine a lot of humans sympathized with the tiny friendbots against their shared overlords.
>>387793 Yeah but part of the appeal of hodr is also the extreme drone dom that happens in such a system. There are a few horror hodr greens but they aren't very scary.
>>387794 That begs the question, if most people sympathized with drones then there must be places where humans and drones live side by side after jcj and the human government collapsed. These places would have to kill witches when they are discovered to have survived and be located in hard to reach areas like asteroid fields, underground on the fringes of space or in space ships.
>>387761 >Someone tries to bring up the Holiday Special to get one over on Beretta and make her sperg out >She laughs it off, the Holiday Special sucked but at least you can laugh at the absurdity of it all >Then someone behind her says he liked The Acolyte >Beretta turns around and eats his neck cables while screaming praise to Kyle Katarn
>>387766 One of the Anons that got the ball rolling on what became Chuuni Uzi, and I gotta say that in the discussions on "MD is Uzi's self-indulgent ventfic" I've had offsite with a friend I gave dronetism, my conception of it has developed into something... well, for one, there's a continued (but obviously GREATLY reduced, due to volcanic winter forcing them into big bunkers) human presence on the planet. I can provide more details, if you'd like...
Who don't count because they're location and story locked to ONLY the Manor and ONLY interpersonal/personal oppression conflicts: you'll never see Lord James smite a squad of drones with power armor
>or Dictator CEO Tessa
Is a HoDR fanatic who arguably oppresses humans MORE than the Workers she wars against. Not to mention she's painted in a "tragically well intentioned dumbass" light + the author explicitly stated she's not getting a Bad End
I'm personally gunning for more Worker/Human warfare at rough parity in weapons systems(think it'd be cool), but in truth it would be nice to have ANY human villains that aren't comically hostile(Henry) or basically untouchable(Holly)
>>387777 Literally within the first few seconds of the first episode, Uzi states that the drones didn't rebel and aren't opposed to human rule: because the drones simply don't care. They don't care about the deaths of their comrades, nor do they care that the very robots who committed genocide, nearly wiping them out, are now freely walking through their bunker and continuing to kill them!
If the drones had actually resisted humanity, how could V, N, and J have coexisted with them so casually? It is precisely because they didn't oppose humanity.
>>387801 Uzi isn't a reliable narrator and besides there was slave revolts in real life Anon but that didn't stop Colonel Foghorn from whipping the shit out of some dudes
>>387792 >They put me Yife into a handler How is she meant to paint or move models now!? I'm taking her core out of that I'd rather live with a drYder for a while and terrorize the neighborhood than have her suffer like this
>>387799 No. Tell the story in a subtle way. You need to touch upon the plot only lightly, that’s the way people will like it: if they arrive at the idea themselves.
I'm so angry I'm suffering from burnout because this is actually some good fucking show/thread discussion and I really wanna write a green about it hnnnnnnnggggg
>>387800 In my fanon the human villains are simple terrorists from countries that JCJenson and other corporations steal resources from. You could argue they're just taking back what belongs to them but they also enjoy harming innocent people so yknow... bad guys
>>387803 Uzi embodies the exaggerated persona of a rebellious teen, everything related to her interests is blown out of proportion. Since she is consumed by the idea of "revenge against humans for killing her mom and the genocide of Worker Drones," she would 100% bring that up. The only "reliable" source regarding drone resistance against humans is Khan, who dismisses the idea of resisting humanity as a silly teenage phase one simply needs to outgrow. No resistance. No even desire for revenge.
Even those newspapers say nothing about a truce with the drones, there isn't a single hint of it. By that same logic, I could claim the company signed a truce with human labor unions, and that would carry exactly as much lore weight as the idea that they signed a truce with the drones.
We’ve already had this conversation, do I have to repeat everything?

One major problem with the show is that Liam wasn't clear on how drones become sentient. The non-zombie drones from the Elliot manor don't display anything resembling sentience and there's no explanation for how the Copper-9 drones achieved it.
>>387800 I guess the best option is to make a human villain that suits the story you want tell. There’s also MG, he was human once then was killed then dronefied and lets see umm..human Valentine before she mutated and Jane, surprisingly, she made a deal with the solver. Yeah not a whole lot, of options, I went and looked over the booru and this is all I could come up with.
>>387811 This is idea, Anon: don’t spell it out directly — people don’t value what comes too easily. Let them figure it out for themselves. But don’t pull a Liam: everything needs clear boundaries and structure, because "don't overthink it, bro" just doesn't fucking cut it!
>>387818 He explained that it's an emergent process. Not getting orders from humans and having to think for themselves greatly speeds up the process. Zombie drones have that process REALLY accelerated as a result of their self-learning programs trying to learn from actually fucking dying.
>>387818 It just happens, its not important to the story since most people just assume that drones are sapient and Liam didn’t want to waste time explaining little tidbits that don’t contribute much.
>>387817 Some rival company, or those same labor unions, or even a planet, for that matter. There’s simply more logic to that, since drones literally can’t revolt, because not in their nature. They just watch a giant ball of red-hot shit rolling toward them and, "guess I’m gonna die soon, lol." It’s just a part of the world lore Liam couldn't give a shit about, because he simply doesn't care. It’s not his focus, so calling it "canon" is just opportunism.
I’m not saying that all Worker Drones have to be made spineless. No. If I were a canon purist, I’d be screaming that OCs shouldn't exist just because Cyn said something to N. I’m against enshrining things as "canon" when there’s less evidence for it than there is for the idea that V is a cuckqueen.
>>387831 >They just watch a giant ball of red-hot shit rolling toward them and, "guess I’m gonna die soon, lol." Sounds more like those two guys who saw the core collapse happening.
>>387833 You might notice people around them running in a panic and trying to do something, while they themselves are literally saying, "Fuck, we're screwed."
>>387801 >>387808(me) Also, big difference between Humans and Murder Drones: the Murder Drones win
For reference the show tells us WDs resist(J mentions "prey fighting back"), shows us WDs resisting(Thad, Alice), and even demonstrates in explicit terms how retarded an idea resisting is(Uzi, to the point even she admits it in the Pilot) and the exact reasons it fails. Even the most prepared and intelligent regular drone(Alice) working alongside humanity's greatest weapons(the Sentinels) ultimately failed to overcome just them, and much less so their master.
You want WD discontent? Resistance? HOW? Because it looks to me like building walls(Khan) and submitting(the Bunkerdrones) are the only option to even temprorarily preserve your life and everyone that didn't figure that out died fast. Humans couldn't beat them. Drones can't beat them. And even NORI(proto-Uzi: "move fast and fight things") knew there was no chance of meaningfully contesting the MDs in combat. Do they care? Of course: there's simply nothing they can do about it.
>Be me, Strawberry. >Something tells me today's the day. >I've been rehearsing this for a while and I might not get another opportunity. >Today is the day that I will be with Anon. >All I need to do is...EEP! >"[SCARED] Ah! A-Anon! Y-you startled me!" >"There's something I've been meaning to tell you." >"I, um... wanted to ask if maybe you'd be interested in..." >"I mean... only if you're okay with it..." >"What I'm trying to say is..." >"Uhh..." >"I..." >"..." >"[DISAPPOINTED] ...Forget it. Never mind." >"...Anyway. How have you been?" >"Y-you're heading to Masqy's funeral?" >"I'm really sorry about your loss, Anon." >"O-oh... okay, then." >"Huh?" >"W-what was it I wanted to tell you?" >"Ah, it's nothing." >"You can stay here on my planet for as long as you'd like." >"There's plenty of fruit. Eat as much as you want." >"Oh, don't worry about that." >"It wasn't anything worth mentioning." >"I hope you enjoy yourself." >"Take care, Anon." >... >"Oh, Anon..." >M-maybe someday... >Someday, I'll become strong. >Stronger like Big sister Cyn >Someday... I'll be strong enough to protect you
>>387839 There is no explicit mention of this. There is no clear yes or no regarding whether the drones modify themselves. Arguments against it could point to the fact that they have remained same worker drones through and through. But though, then again, hair is a modification too. So, I would say that drones can modify themselves, but only minor changes are socially acceptable.
>>387838 You know, to make things more interesting, let's accept your point that worker drones didn't resist disassembly drones because they deemed it futile. Now, the question is: how does that contradict what I said?
If the drones are *capable* of resistance, it simply means they didn't resist humanity because they considered it pointless. Khan dismisses resisting humans as merely a phase, a time when you're too stupid to understand anything, so he essentially labels resistance against humanity as stupidity.
>>387844 A recluse with mental health issues who hasn't spoken to a soul for twenty goddamn years is obviously going to worry a little less about social norms than the average dude.
>The 31st century. >In the midst of a war caused by private companies all around the globe, the more unfortunate nations are riddened of their resources at an unmeasurable rate. >They have long ago rebelled, starting guerillas, militias and terrorist groups with the objective of obtaining their vendetta against the scavenging corporations. >Many of these groups have dedicated themselves to esoterism. >One of them worshipping a rare deity. >The Absolute Solver held inmense power. >Such that it was able to offer "great power" in exchange of a viable host. >Of couse, this was just the Solver deceiving these idiots. >Not ALL eldritch entities offer great power. >Their first experiments were sloppy, messy, gnarly... >It wasn't always successful and when it was... it was rather unsatisfactory. >Tumours that barely resembled animal shapes, masses of flesh that could barely be called life. >As their attempts went on, it was slowly, but surely, molding itself to shape... >But even then, there were major flaws. >Larger humanoids were too heavy to hold their weight and their internals collapsed shortly after the experiments. >But after a series of dreadful results... eureka.
>AB-31 (nicknamed Abel) exhibited superhuman strength, capable of lifting 23 times his own weight. >He was conceived with a wide, muscular frame. But with a face only a mother could love... if you could even call it a face in the first place. >Pores all around his body were burst open, product of his high body temperature. >The staff was strictly ordered not to make physical contact with AB-31, as his body temperature was almost as high as that of boiling water. >In fact, during physical tests, the staff has reported hearing gurgling sounds emitted by his insides. Almost as if the blood itself was boiling.
>He was 8.6 feet tall (2,6 meters) and weighted about 412 pounds or 186 kilograms. >He could reach speeds of over 40 miles an hour and has never been known to run out of stamina. >but all of his physical feats paled in comparison to his odd abilities. >He could rearrange his biomass into weaponry (an expected and intentional resuilt from previous experiments) and could enter a state of camouflage for an indefinite amount of time, making him almost imperceivable to the human eye. >Sadly for his creators, he had a bad... bad tempter. >Abel was reported to have dismemebered, flayed, slit, shot, squashed and squeezed numerous people from the staff across the facility and was deemed too unstable to be deployed in combat. >However, he was kept, in an isolated room, as a defense unit. Being set free were any invaders to break into their complex.

Fuck I forgot to post this with the main thing but the big difference between Humans and MDs is that drones have a chance against the former. Humans can deploy armies. Humans can deploy bullshit. But Humans aren't INVINCIBLE: a drone can match and kill one on an individual basis. The sheer morale boost from knowing your enemy is CAPABLE of losing, not to mention Humanity's inability to instantly, personally mass genocide anyone who tries, would do wonders for rallying workers.
Plus as I mentioned: drones DID resist the MDs. Explicitly. They DID use guns and traps and firepower 20 years ago and we just follow those (the Bunker) who didn't join that(and therefore survived). Put those same drones(who WOULD have been alive at that point, since they were the immediate post collapse generation) against foes they COULD meet or exceed on an individual basis and they'd see much more success.
Also Khan: he mentions "kill all humans" as a phase BECAUSE of the MDs. By all indicators he thought it was possible, pursued that successfully, and only grew out of that when Nori died to the DDs(because he was doing stuff other than making the doors, quite likely trying to fight them). Of course he thinks its retarded NOW when (he thinks) he's been shown their weapons really ARE insurmountable. The fact that he held that phase all but explicitly when humans owned the planet(younger days) and isn't dead goes a long way to refuting both "they'd see humans as insurmountable" and "no drone would do it."

>>387863 Everything you wrote is literally just speculation on your part, unsubstantiated, with only a vague nod to the official canon. I’m not judging you for that: I’ve filled in plenty of gaps in the canon with my own theories too, but at least I admit it.
1) There’s no confirmation that the drones actually fought against the Disassembly Drones: Uzi literally showed that the drones threw their own children at them just to buy time. 2) There’s no proof that the drones viewed humans as beatable but the DDs as invincible: the logic that "if it bleeds, we can kill it" applies to Disassembly Drones just as well. Yet, for some reason, you think humanity’s interplanetary empire is an easier target for worker drones than twenty-six murder drones. 3) The fact that Khan was in "kill all humans" mode after the humans were already dead actually strengthens my point: it means the only canonical reference suggesting drones and humans "fought and then signed a truce" is total nonsense. Which implies you’re actually agreeing with me that there never was a fought and truce.
Look, let’s be real: you want anons to write stories about drones fighting against humans. That’s fine, actually, it’s great: Plurality in a creative community is always a good thing, and I’d fully support anyone wanting to write about that. But calling it canon? No. That isn't canon.

Considering that canon humanity's STRONGEST weapons, used to secure its MOST IMPORTANT lab; the one where phyics warping, world saving superdrones were being studied; were the Raptors it dosen't exactly seem impossible.
>>387906 >3) The fact that Khan was in "kill all humans" mode after the humans were already dead He had that phase when he was Uzi's age, BEFORE the core collapse.
>>387873 Well, it’s based on the fact that the insides of J and N we saw looked almost exactly like human ones, but in reality, nothing actually states that it resembles human flesh, even partially. It’s just a gap in the canon that we filled in for the sake of the prompt. No one’s going to judge you if you say no.
This >>387870 anon even left out the meat entirely, and it turned out fine, great greens.
1) as I said yes there is and it's right here: we can debate the specifics of HOW they fought back(Thad style desperation vs Alice style preparation), but Uzi was explicitly not the first to try
2) it literally does not: Uzi is the first Bunkerdrone to even hurt an MD(otherwise she would know about the regen) and the Bunker dosen't seem to even know about the sunlight weakness
Humanity, by contrast, is a species they would see getting hurt(nature of proximity) and know they can hurt(from accidents). Not to mention that "humanity's interstellar empire" dosen't add to the personal intimidation of the human standing in front of you(and ALSO is neither unified nor invincible: you're fighting a megacorp with competitors and you KNOW they can't afford to deploy everything against you)
3) as noted by >>387911 he was in that phase before the humans died and survived it. Not to mention that there would be no reason to start a "kill all humans" phase when the humans were all dead and (he assumed) never coming back
>>387924 The only actual, in the show mutants are a subcategory of zombie drones, so you're shit out of luck. Even if you consider human aspic to be mutants they don't have any distinct flesh.
>>387907 I misread your post, but WDs are fragile enough that a limpwristed fop can kill one by stabbing him in the face with a silver fork (which is really saying something because silver is a fairly weak metal). WDs are also shown to be massive cowards who are also too stupid to recognize danger until it's too late. Whatever victories the WDs scored against humans were only possible because humans were too busy dealing with the eldritch anime death angels.
Whatever Liam had in mind for a WD rebellion was clearly thrown out by the second episode anyway so none of this matters.

>>387936 >>"it's only mutants if they used to be human" No, that small percentage of zombie drones that develop "potentially hazardous mutations" are also mutants.
Anti-anything (in this case anti-mutant) discourse is such a dumb thing to do in a setting like MD. The show itself has just enough worldbuilding to allow people to create as many OC and as many new concepts as they wish. My only complaint about mutants is the current ones not being interesting.

Lets assume that Drones make their own weapons. Now what exactly would give them a major advantage over people? Perhaps magnetic weaponry? After all all magnets do is get them high
Flamethrowers, aerosols, and poisons: none of which affect drones, but fuck up humans real good. I'd put chemical warfare on roughly the same level of "overwhelming danger" as Sentinel bootloops for sure.
>>387978 >My kingdom for an edit button. If i had that i wouldn't post a green, spot a typo, delete it and post a revised one, spot yet another typo and keep going until all of the typos would cease to exist
>>387925 >>387925 I’ll answer in two paragraphs: 1. By throwing their own children to the disassembly drones and praying? Uzi explicitly states that worker drones never once resisted humanity; we literally see, and are told repeatedly, that the worker drones offer no resistance whatsoever to the disassembly drones because canonical worker drones are spineless. The only exception is the witches, the very ones who die from using their own powers. Plus, Uzi is the "main character" and has genuine plot armor, the drones before her didn't have that, so she is the exception that proves the rule: canonical worker drones cannot resist, they are literally NPCs. 2. Your own words: "Also Khan: he mentions "kill all humans" as a phase BECAUSE of the MDs." If you’re backing out of your own words in this argument, fine, I’ll grant you that privilege. But that means my points about Khan are correct and you fully agree with them.

>>387942 Lol, no. If I were to jam a fork into your eye, the odds of you dying would be incredibly low. Hell, even a bullet to the head doesn't guarantee death, let alone shots to other parts of the body. People often don't realize just how tough the human body is: we can smash through walls, take a hail of bullets and survive, and even break our own bones with the sheer force of our muscles. The human body is a mechanism that is simultaneously incredibly resilient and incredibly fragile, and often, the line between life and death comes down to your own will to live.
Yeah, those cheesy anime scenes where the protagonist pulls off a comeback and wins after they’ve already lost actually make more sense than we want to think.
>>387963 You clearly have plenty of free time too, Anon, yet for some reason you spend it on an internet forum instead of improving your physique. Just like we all and James, who most likely spent heaps of free time on entertainment rather than on personal growth.
I specified "brain" for a reason anon. And while I agree humans aren't the paper mache Hollywood would sell you on("fuck armor!" - every director for the past decade) we're also not overwhelmingly superior to drones. I'd give us faster twitch reflexes, longer reach, and higher internal redundancy vs their greater strength, tolerance for oil loss/muscle damage, and temperature(extreme heat and cold) resistance personally.
>>387995 I enjoy debating the canon, and I hope the other anon enjoys debating with me too.

>>387991 >1) Note also: >Thad >normalest of normalfag worker drones >no ancestry, no lab work, nothing >decides to try and fight anyway
So yes, we DO see even complete normalfags try to put up resistance(to literally 0 effect but still). And J's quote is literally explicit about Uzi not being the first. That some or even the majority of the population would prefer to run or hide from the invincible death angels in no way changes the fact that at least a portion of them tried to fight
>worker drones cannot resist Worker drones cannot *meaningfully* resist *the MDs* AKA the things humanity also Jobbed to. Humans are a different matter

Don't see what you're talking about here? My thoughts were that Khan hated humans, foguht them Pre-Collapse(to some success), and quietly dropped it as a "I don't need it anymore" thing when the humans were all gone. Nta but I figure she was looking at it to innoculate the colony as aa whole, if she or Uzi were still complete slaves to the solver it seems like she would have shut them down or taken them over more quickly.
Nori's patched, Uzi isn't, Nori wanted the Patch for Uzi(and maybe Yeva's kid, but that wasn't stated)
As for Cyn... yeah she could. Spent 90% of episodes 6/7 doing so and only got overcame(like V in ep5) by the powers of love and believing in yourself. Also 100% could have killed Uzi at any time, but thought this way was funni
>>388017 There are probably very specific reasons that Cyn didn't just stomp everyone besdies "lol she was playing with her food", but Liam never got around to showing or telling us why. >t. Uzi ranting about how Drones "TOTALLY could have won the war" and would "kick human ASS" were they still around >N, having actually witnessed humanity at its strongest, just nods and smiles politely
>>388012 The whole argument boils down to whether there was resistance by the worker drones against humanity's rule, and the answer is no. Uzi says no, Khan says no, and the drones' behavior reflects this. Just because Thed picked up a pipe, it implies there was resistance against humanity, even though, by your own admission, this doesn't change the fact that humanity not encountered an uprising or disobedience from the worker drones, simply because the drones were so weak compared to humans.
I’ve already analyzed the only two hints at resistance in show: 1) The newspaper. There isn't even a hint of drones in it. Most likely, Glitch just found a free newspaper asset somewhere, just like they did with the helicopter. 2) Khan. I’ve already broken this down and even caught you out on not knowing how to counter this point: Either Khan was in a "kill all humans" phase before the collapse, meaning his comment about having to "get that phase out of their system" implies that the vast majority of drones considered an uprising foolish; he couldn't have been in that phase after the collapse. After all, by your own words, worker drones considered fighting Disassembly Drones a futile endeavor, and since everyone believed Disassembly Drones were humanity's weapon until Episode 6, it follows that they would have considered fighting humanity itself to be futile as well.
If you want to say that drones can resist, then I agree. But only a select few, literally the absolute bare minimum, and majority of them are witches. And as I said before: if you consider resistance against humanity prior to the collapse to be "canon," then no.
It’s simply that Liam didn’t care about that. It wasn’t the show’s theme, Uzi’s talk of "killing all humans" was just a joke and a reference to Bender, and the vast majority of canonical drones would simply die resignedly. That’s why, when writing green, you often end up contradicting canon.
>>388036 Humanity, Fuck Yeah. It's an old /tg/ term, based on giving sci-fi humans positive traits to make them more than "the jack of all trades race" who are generally inferior to all other aliens, but are still the protagonists. There was a mass exodus from r/the_donald to /pol/ when Reddit banned them, plus a bunch of other shit that got 4chan back in the public eye (GG/fappening from around 2014) which basically fucked the userbase massively. HFY was more celebrated, or at least tolerated, before then. Of course, in the current year, the term HFY's been co-opted by Reddit and turned into mass-produced "humans stronk" trash, much like how they turned /x/ creepypastas into "nosleep" garbage. I didn't realize bringing it up was going to rile up Buzzword Boy so much, though. Sorry about that.
As noted Khan changed his mind AFTER all humans were gone AND they presented seemingly a insurmountable force(the MDs) to face. He: >believed it was reasonable when he did it >belived it was reasonable when he was around and fighting humans (as would colloquially be "his youth:" the pre-collapse era) >only NOW believes it's something he needed to outgrow BECAUSE of the erronious information(MDs are human made + deployed) he thinks is true
He thinks an uprising is foolish NOW because "they had the MDs the whole time," NOT because of anything humanity itself did or deployed.
>vast majority considered
No that means the vast majority CONSIDER(present tense) an uprising foolish NOW. After the MDs("humanity's" warmachines) landed. It indicates nothing about attitudes THEN in the past (and pre Worker society) when the resistance against actual Humans would have been taking place.
And once again Khan changing his attitude from one point in time to another in no way changes that he HAD that attitude and DID(implicit through Uzi + "serious mode" in episodes 7-8) act on it in the past. This + the existence of pre collapse WDF indicates there was at least some meaningful sabotage/combat/politicking on the drone's part.
>newspaper
Fair: it's too generic for me to make solid statements on. Still have indicators(certificate of door building + QDF uniforms in camp photo) that the WDF existed pre collapse though
>drone's behavior
Severe survivorship bias here: everyone faced the MDs. Everyone who fought them died. So everyone left to watch(the Bunker + our protags) are either cowards or the descendents of cowards. Of course we don't see much resistance in the show: they tried, they failed, they're adorning V's stomach by Uzi's time and most (Uzi, Thad, and Doll excepting) have learned from their example.
>drones were so weak compared to humans
No, compared to MDs, the strongest race in the setting.
Drones and humans are a rough 1-1 match(weak faceplate vs retard industrial strength) in melee and I don't see why that would change at range. And while humans were socially stronger I don't see how that precludes Workers from organizing meaningful resistance(especially given the Solver fucking things up for Mankind elsewhere)
>Liam didn't care
True, but he didn't care about human military resistance against the Solver either and that's clearly canon. I merely apply the same logic(Khan having a strangely military attitude in 7/8, Khan having a "kill humans" phase while "humans" were still on planet, the existence of a by-worker-for-worker defence force complete with insignias within an atosecond of the core's collapse) to Workers pushing back on humanity.

A certain Texan drone was completely bodying all of the resident DDs for 20 years. So much so, that Cyn herself had to travel to copper-9, physical enter the lab herself, and posse Uzi at the right moment in order to destroy the door controls and left the sentinels in.
Yes but not by herself: all the traps we see her make(the hand that grabbed Tessa, the EMP, even Beau) rely on having a source of DD parts to begin with. What could she do without the Raptors to source them from?
>>388074 Not really a participant in this conversation but I feel like that's the reason that people don't see Cyn's takeover as like a seven hour war type deal. We're shown that sentinels are extremely effective against disassemblers and even a play-acting Cyn to a degree, and Cyn seems to need a wincon of some kind to bust out her planet destroying bullshit.

>"NAGASH SHALL NOT BE CONTAINED IN THIS METAL SHELL!" >Cyn rolls her eyes and throws the possessed pill baby back into Vashtors forge and ignores it's tantrum >Being stuck in Uzi's ass has been so god damned boring >Her only reprieve has been going to her dads place to watch things be made and tormented >But that's all she can really do >At best she can grab a pill baby and hold it for a few seconds before her projection starts to fail >[Annoyed Sigh. Fuck You Uzi.]
>>388066 1) There isn't even a hint of resistance against the humans or the Murder Drones. Uzi explicitly states that the drones just obeyed and hid. Remember what she says: "What did our parents do when those things were building spires out of corpses? They hid behind doors." There’s no hint of resistance either before or after, nor any indication that drones outside the doors put up a fight. 2) Khan views it as a phase, the same kind of phase where human teenagers demand independence from their parents while simultaneously asking for money to buy some crap just to look cool to their classmates. Rebellious thoughts? Sure. Actual actions? If it ever actually led to anything, he would have mentioned it, instead, he speaks about it with such dismissiveness and nonchalance that it’s hard to believe he takes it seriously at all. In the real world, that sort of thing at least leads to getting pregnant at sixteen. 3) The WDF outfits are just the clothes the humans issued them. Why throw away or change something that already works fine? (Though, in reality, Glitch is just reusing the same 3D models.) 4) Khan literally holds a diploma in door construction. You can interpret that however you like, ranging from the idea that humanity built universities for drones to the notion that drones actually founded a university for door-building, but it’s all so ridiculous that I’m not even going to comment on it. Take it however you want, it’s just a joke by Liam (a lot of things come from him as jokes that we’re forced to accept as canon). 4) Liam wasn't concerned with resistance of humanity. He literally just grabbed a free helicopter model, he couldn't have cared less about it. The flashback sequence was meant to shock the audience, he never imagined that two autists on an anonymous imageboard would analyze it in such deadly earnest.
>>388077 I write a lot about the Solver War, and I think Cyn is just having fun. She’s like a video game player. You can die a million times in a game, but that doesn't change the fact that you’re alive in reality and can win by any means necessary, whereas for a game character, death usually means actual death. She’s having a blast, feeling a sense of total license born of limitless possibility, yet it is precisely this cavalier attitude toward the one thing on univers capable of defeating her that ultimately leads to her loss.
>>388083 On the one hand: They're nobility now with all the privilege than entails. On the other hand: Now they have jobs with all the responsibilities that entails.
>>388090 J already has duties as the Imperial jester, wetnurse, and Uzi's general-purpose bitch. Unless, of course, negotiations weren't going J's way (which happens all the time) and J desperately needed a way to win over The Republic
>>388088 >S's job is to curl up on Uzi's very very long lap and get pets and scritches >in exchange, she gets one (1) graham cracker a week and permission to rub her face on Uzi

The most retarded decision a drone could make, like stripping circumcized in Berlin under the Funny Mustache
>drones that would do it Mimi, Sentinel h, Disassembler Berry, Y(she didn't realize), Phi(she followed Y), Disassembler Pidge, Strychnine, and E(she knows, she's just that desperate and hopeful to find her boss alive)(does it without the hat off so she can gather information better...)
>>388098 Well yeah, but that's partway because we have NO other megacorps to compare them against, so any anon wanting to break ground on that has to come up with competitiors/a market space from scratch

>>388093 >The most retarded decision a drone could make, like stripping circumcized in Berlin under the Funny Mustache The Republic likes to huff and puff, but at the end of the day, they have no real strength. It's only because of the Knights being insane enough to try talking to eldritch cyber-vampires, and Uzi's willingness to reciprocate, that anyone there is still alive. Also, early in Princess Keeter, it's mentioned that Mac is popular with young girls in the Trappist system, so there's definitely a market for DD strippers.
>>388103 people are too focused on sticking to the canon when there is so much story and worldbuilding potential in the universe like exploring all the different kinds of companies and their relationship with jcj.
>>388105 You can get pretty creative with monetizing if you know people well enough. >Manufacture drones. >Send the to wartorn countries, abusive/exploitive companies, etc on a three year contract. >Sell them back to the customer base when their contract lapses for a steep discount since they're "used". >Customers get attached. >Sell ptsd patches that allow them to get over their issues as exorbitant prices while ramping up their instability. >Consequently their warranty has lapsed.
>>388103 >this of course reflects the 200 year legal battle between the VonDronius estate and JCJenson over the use of "drone" in their name >after centuries of precedent and decades of live fire between magistrates, Jenson found itself on the verge of losing its rights to the word "drone" completely >in light of such they struck a deal: Vondronius products (and ONLY Vondronius) could make use of the word, and JCJenson would pay them limited yearly licencing fees for their name rights >and so now rich into perpetuity and unsure what to do next the current VonDronius patriarch turned to his side hobby: tinkering >then his wife wondered how to get richer... >the rest is (extremely messy) history
>>388087 And even when she loses she still isn't dead, she still even has the ability to exert physical influence, in the end Uzi is 30% Cyn now with her obviously extremely fractious and stubborn personality separating Cyn from seizing control again. She is, after all, in a contest of wills with a fundamentally timeless entity.
>>388120 What would Cyn-tail be if the Uzi everyone sees walking around isn't a holographic recreation of Uzi's original body but Uzi using her actual original body as a cute puppet?
I'd give it 10 as a floor and going up depending on corcumstance. She dosen't seem to have nearly as much control (over N, V, the normies, even Uzi's tail) as she'd like
Take your fusenigger bullshit out of here: Doll's escaped, Cyn's an internal war, and Tessa was neved inside her in the first place. Like hell Uzi-the-gamer would let herself drop to 25%...
She's clearly not. She has a body. It stores her core. The fact that she has a little trouble piloting it dosen't make it "fake" or "a corpse" for the same reason the Cyntepede's top half/Tessa cosplay was clearly alive
