>>300246 Haha geez imagine growing up with a parent who snaps at you all the time. Maybe you'd develop an inferiority complex where you can never do anything on your own in case it's the wrong thing and upsets everyone around you. Wouldn't that suck? Haha.
>>300259 What I do is think about how the most notable thing I'll have done in my life is write a bunch of greentexts about a gay snowflake robot OC for an animated miniseries made for teenagers, and then spend an hour vividly imagining what happens when I die.
>>300259 First, what do you seek when you create thread content? Do you do it for yourself or do you seek out reactions? Is it something you do as creative exercise or do you make it out of some sense of obligation?
>>300259 my job involves me on my feet 4-8 hours a day with no music and not distractions outside of my actual work That SOUND bad but its actualy really fucking good for figuring out ideas/drawings/green in single sittings.
If i somehow managed to not come up with any convincing ideas during that time its because my brain is more focused on other shit and making content is probably the least of my concerns
That or, i have a idea ready to go in my head, but getting the concept from brain to pen to writing/drawing requires a large set of free time i currently dont have, which in that case... guh
>>300259 Maybe draw the first thing that comes to mind, it often helps but I know that is sometimes impossible, maybe rewatch some of the midseason episodes (they are atmospheric, 2-6 imo) if you don't watch them often. Are you feeling more bored or depressed?
>>300265 Nta but I completely understand what you are having on workdays, during the times I had to be at uni all day I was the most productive ever with drawing
>>300271 because freckles baggy eyes cute. also because she's an uptight nerd on the outside who tries her best and really does care she just gets screwed over by the universe
>>300260 when I imagine what happens when I die (nothing) I can't fall asleep so I shoot upright in bed and start uncontrollably panicking and shouting "oh god no" at 1 am :) >>300264 I start an idea because it's something I like and I finish it hoping the thread likes it too >>300265 I've just had no creative juices flowing whatsoever. usually I'll have at least one every other day or so but right now it's like the well's run dry >>300269 I'm depressed and as a result the things I usually enjoy bore me >>300279 wish that approach worked for me
>>300259 My problem isn't a lack of motivation and passion, but rather the inability to express that passion on paper the way I want, so I can only recommend playing Europa Universalis 5.
>>300290 It's simple: 1) The 9mm bullet. There's a lot of it, literally fucking everywhere you can find 9mm bullets. Even the most common zombies can carry over thirty bullets, when a kill requires a maximum of three(just aim properly). And if you knock out a light automatic turret, you'll be literally swimming in bullets. 2) It's easy to find. Like bullets, a Beretta is lying around in the pockets of almost every dead junkie; it's often the first firearm of choice against zombie scum.
I have a Beretta in my holster and an Uzi in my hands, and it really pisses me off that I can't shoot Macedonian style.
>>300295 Wish I had the secret creative sauce that'll keep you going forever, but if it were that easy I'd have made so much more. Dry spells happen and all you can really do is tough it out. It doesn't make you any less of a creator if you have them.
>>300330 Aw, very cute. She's still going to stab me repeatedly with her tail and watch me until I stop screaming to make sure I don't make a surprise recovery, but still, very cute.
>>300259 I feel your pain. I have like 4 greentexts that I was supposed to do a long time ago and kept teasing and still haven't completed them due to lack of motivation and creativity
>Heya'non, where're you off to? >Oh hey Maya, just the usual, sweeping the west perimeter in case anything weird is crawling up outta the crater >Oh! Oh! Lemme tag along with you! >Aren't you supposed to be in college or something? >Pft. Classes are boooring, it was easier back when people still thought I couldn't talk. >Why're you skipping, shitty subject? >Nahh, some of the drones are getting weird lately, Mrs. Doorman won't really give me a straight answer 'bout it and V started avoiding me, some'a the others in my class who hang around with Beretta won't talk to me anymore. >Well...fine screw it I guess, when we get to the perimeter you can stretch your wings and lemme know what you see from above. Oh! Hey Maya! >Yeah? >What's up with your hair, you let it grow out? >Mhm! >What for? I mean it looks good but long hair seems like a hassle. >I...don't know. It felt "right"...
>>300339 Sorry, you had an accident at the N factory and we had to improvise because the medkit was out of reach, now move your ass we need to meet quota
>>300345 >Anon gets fucked up by the loss of Thad and starts searching for any trace of him >Goes a bit too far and becomes a self-made detective, turning over the outpost for clues >Thalia's made the decision to tell Anon the truth next time he comes back from one of his outings, before he gets himself hurt >When he does, he's disheveled and shivering, dried blood on his face as he slams a folder down on the table >Several photographs of Thad spill out >Recent photographs >Emily, Rebecca, Doll, and other drones Thalia can't recognize are in them, too
>>300351 Thalia doesn't, either. "Thad" wasn't present for any of those photographs, and the others have been dead for a while, but here are these pictures, taken today.
>>300364 she looks like shes going to put my balls under a magnifying glass angled towards the sun, burning my pubes to a crisp and boiling my swimmers alive as if they were in a gas chamber
>>300376 What a hero Anon's Self-Insert was, injecting Bonnie with that experimental regeneration serum and getting her to a ship leaving Earth as the planet was blowing up! It's so nice that they can live out their post-war days in peace with the worker drones they found and rescued.
>"Look at me, I am Oogi." >"Oogi stupid, not blind, we are all Oogi." >"But I am unique." >"Stupid Oogi, we are all the same." >"I will show you all one day, I will be Boogi!" >Hahaha at least Oogi funny."
>>300382 this goes for pretty much all of pocketsteaks’ characters. i refuse to goon to the dedicated sexo characters, may it be war criminal lesbians or homeless mutants. i need to jack off in a profound and thought-provoking way. something to put in my memoir.
>>300323 >"Yeah, sure." >The glumness in your stride as you snagged your wallet and keys didn't inspire confidence in the gussied-up worker, who nervously scratched her cheek. >"Uhm...ok. Just an outta pocket theory here...but..is this a bad time?" >Somewhere in that question sounded like a bit of hope that rhe answer was "No." >Her stance was eager, and she tightly gripped the (*cough* $25 *cough*) fine leather of her purse. >"No, no. It's just...well..." >You scanned her up and down for a bit longer than usual. >Tension in her hydraulics spiked and she took the backfoot. Her CPU was ablaze with worry under the sudden visual scrutiny. >'Had he figured it out?' >'Did he know who was standing before him and he was trying to be polite?' >'Did I put on too much lipstick?!' >She struck that thought down. Why would we the OS personality care so much about that? >"W-well?" >The low-energy frown seemed to hide a bit of regret in your expression. >But less so when you closed the gap and put a hand on her shoulder. >Thalia nearly jumped. >"It's just...I kinda feel bad about the New Years thing. I didn't mean to ditch you like that. I was kinda hammered and didn't think you'd wanna deal with a drunk loser." >Her core finally stopped racing after it registered that you were just feeling guilty. >In a way running Relief.exe seemed almost silly. >"O-oh! That! Don't worry about it, I totally get it. My cousin did the same thing that night so I kinda had to look after him anyway haha!" >Not as silly as the fact that she still had the adapter installed. She nervously rubbed her nape. >You too felt relieved after the acceptance of the apology. >To think you'd fuck up in front of such a cute girl, only to get a second chance where she really put in the effort. >"Really? Wow. Uh, thanks. Shall we?" >A hand offered itself. Your hand. Thalia stared at it in quiet. A few scanlines dusting her visor before she intertwined it with her own enthusiastically. >"Y-yeah! Lets!"
>>300364 >You see dear Anon, the victim as you can see here was a humiephile based off the fact that she's got the words "rape all humans" etched into the area just above her anatomy adapter
>>300401 Akita, not to doubt your methods or anyhting but we could have gathered that from reading her diary where she graphically describes how she would rape humans on every page, also she's not dead just asleep and I don't think she likes the fact we woke her up and do you have to lift up her skirt?
>Deaf and Blind Anons bumps to each other. >Both ended up in L containment room. >One can't see but hear the other can't hear but see. >How would they survive?
any of y'all gonna buy one of those JCJenson X Sanrio drones? they're cute but I feel like they're so stubby they'd hardly be able to get around, let alone help out around the house
I was watching a drawing guide by an artist and noticed a new video in the recommendations where she spends 20 minutes whining about how neural networks are ruining her work and how people are idiots for not seeing the value of real artists. Plus, I regularly see AI threads on /co/ where anons discuss how AI is affecting the animation industry (spoiler: everyone unanimously agrees it's really bad.)
As someone who's just starting to learn how to draw, I'm genuinely interested to hear firsthand from our drawfags: is it really that bad? I mean, in terms of job searches for artists. I know I'm in shit becous went to university for one of the most automation-prone professions just before the release of GPT, but how has this affected everyone else?
>>300425 art career potential has very little to do with art, it’s based on your sales skills, your product is yourself and your success is entirely predicated on your ability to sell yourself combined with a passable level of technical acumen, like most things in life you can either brute force it with hard work or pass a series of moderate-to-difficult charisma skill checks
>>300417 >Emperor >Lol, LMAO said the hive fleet I was playing my nidders, two games at a small points limit, Evacuation and Tyranid Attack VS my friends Dark Angels, won the first one and lost the second one because my Hive Tyrant missed all of his attacks three turns in a row, but I moped up the gay boys in the first game. Had fun overall
>Maksurs are living mutated biomechanical wildlife created by pollution and leftover Solver contamination after the planet pollution. >Every documented Maksur organism is classified along three independent biological axes. >No single axis defines a creature’s danger or ecological value; the axes only make sense together. >Understanding the axes determines whether the entity is an ignore it or don’t you still gonna be fine or a Solver level threat.

>“How much the creature breaks the laws of physics simply by existing.” >The scale is intentionally non-linear: >F → E → D → C → A → TITAN F-Class (Beneficial / Harmless): >Tiny bio-machines and microflora that assist survival. >The lowest rank on the food chain. E-Class (Low Threat) >Small, fast opportunists. Annoying, not lethal. Mostly they are harmless pests at their worst. D-Class (Unstable): >The wildcard class. >A D-class is harmless until it isn’t. C-Class (Hybrid): >The weirdest of them all. They are like chimera consisting of combinations of Maksurs. 3. Behavior Profile (B-Profile):
>“How the creature behaves in it’s environment.” DCL — Docile: >Ignore intruders unless provoked or for self-defense.
AGR — Aggressive: >Actively hunt movement, heat, radio signals, or anything resembling prey. >They: >don’t negotiate. >don’t retreat. > don’t stop. > usually motivated by hunger.

PAR — Parasitic: >Require hosts or hive to survive.
>>300429 Overall, as I expected, even though everyone says that AI makes it practically impossible to build a career in the arts, people are still willing to pay for human-created artwork.
>>300425 Itanon here, for me personally I think people are using too much AI for about anything. People want thinga done and quick rather than go through the process and making sure that it actually works. Especially when it comes to animations and such since its very obvious on what scenes look ai and which ones arent. Im not against the idea of people using AI as an TOOL rather than trying force the whole thing to do the entire work. But this how ever havent really change the scenery for art sincs people are still buying and of course demands works created by human rather than works solely by AI. Especially when you see those ai bros "ItS tHe FuTuRe" and "DaMn BrO yOu GoT tHe WhOlE sQuAd LaUgHiNg" or "ItS hArDeR tO pRoGrAm". Like no shit einstein making YOUR OWN AI is hard but since theres so much ai apps and pre-existing ones already avaliable that its basically easy to do. The key difference is that its an sisyphus journey, sure the boulder is hard and rough to push amongst the mountain but when you reach towards the top and breath that fresh air its nothing but relaxing. Seeing where you started and ended makes it all the more worth it

>>300425 >>300460 my main issue with AI is less people are using it and more that people are choosing to use it instead of learning a talent or academics there's a very serious rise of reports of new generations of highschoolers/collagekids being far below the required math/english/learning ability due to them just doing everything with chatCBT and not learning the actual assignment, and not even being sneaky about it. The bubble that AI is making is not only going to devise jobs and carriers, but also make a generation of kids who cant reasonably problem solve because their brains have been effectively burnt due to modern internet trends
Still kinda spooks me that people here are using AI to help write/spellcheck greens here, I understand its easy and you wanna finish it but: >1. terribly ironic your using AI to help write stuff about a show involving rampant evil eldritch AI & its consequences. >2. Most of the people who make content for the threads do it for their own fun/enjoyment, if your not enjoying the content your making, then why are you making it?
>>300469 >Still kinda spooks me that people here are using AI to help write/spellcheck greens I only ever used it to spell check and I stoped doing that I promise, I was anxious about my typos detracting from the expirience, but I admit I would have probably gotten better at not making those if I spellchecked them myself from the begining. Can't imagine using a LLM to write a green, that's absolutley soulless
>>300469 Thats indeed true, its a shame for people not actually try and experience the work itself. Cause sure you might realized you might not be cut up too it but at least you tried and have fun with it. Actually taking a chance with it but now-a-days people are hesitant to fail >>300471 Facts. At least your using it as a tool to actually help you to improve yourself and stop using it after it fulfilled its purpose

Also itanon again to give some updated news of my current 3d adventure. Blender got fucked because I realized that I have a very old version of it,(v.3.4.1), and thus decided to update it. I couldnt update it thus had to convert back to v.3.4.1 again. Issue? Now that version doesnt seem to work no matter how hard I tried to fix it. So thus I had to head back to MMD again,(which previously downloaded worked fine until I loaded in a model where it crashed and or becomes so laggy that it was running 1 fps), too see if that'll work. Which somehow did. I dont know what I did to actually make it run perfectly fine but Im gonna count it as a blessing and not fuck it up. Anyway heres me making uzi jorking it because I was board

>>300528 The former. I like to imagine that one of the major parts of ensuring Beretta had a 'safe' upbringing involved her immediate family (and especially Uzi) keeping a tight lid on the extent of how far the Solver Stuff rabbit hole goes. Even when Beretta is finally old enough to know some of the truth she's never shown all of it, leading to a number of unfortunate misconceptions born from fibs & half-truths that Auntie Cyn ultimately exploits. Arguably the biggest of these would be Uzi's "true" Solverpede form; For the longest time Beretta was successfully kept under the impression that Uzi was just a badass witch-queen Worker Drone with 'secret' organic parts like her tail/wings, so Uzi effectively coming clean with her "true" nature serves as a sappy (and admittedly heavy handed) way to show she's truly ready to level with her daughter
>>300533 I figured Uzi was outing herself as a big god-worm there, only question was whether the hug was done herself, via her security blanket, or if her security blanket gave Bugretta a normal person hug while simultaneously Uzi's Doctor Octopus tentacles with human hands at the end snaked around Beretta.

>Akita hated mirrors. >Not because they were cracked or dusty or made from old ship scrap like everything else on the outpost. >She hated them because they reminds her of the harsh truth. >She stood in front of her room mirror now, staring at a reflection that didn’t feel like it belonged to her.
>Purple skin. >Organic eyes. >Not a drone. Not a disassembly. >Just… wrong.
>Akita swallowed hard, trying to force her breath steady. >Her chest didn’t click like her fellow drones chassis. >It moved like lungs.
>Organic and fleshy... >She tried holding her arms out at different angles, like maybe one position would suddenly feel right. >It didn’t.
>A soft knock sounded behind her. >“Akita?” > It was Uzi’s voice. >Her mother. >“Yeah, Mom?” >The door open. Uzi stepped in >“Hey, kiddo. I, uh...I need a favor.” >Akita’s stomach dropped. >“What kind of favor?” Akita asked quietly. >Uzi rubbed the back of her head. >“You know... with Colony’s expanding...and duty called... i have to oversee everything...can't have any surprise eldritch shenanigans...” >She forced a smile. >“I need someone to look after you today.” >"You’re not staying?” >“I’ll be back tonight!” Uzi said quickly. >“Probably. Just a quick reconnaissance mission...”
>Before Akita could respond, another figure stepped into the doorway. >It was J. >“Hello, Akita,” J said, >“We will be spending the day together. Isn’t that lovely?” >“Is it too late to say no?” >"I don’t want her to babysit you either but the others are either busy or unavailable plus she owns me a favor."
>Akita wanted to ask Uzi to stay. To say she wasn’t okay being left with J especially this moment. >To say she didn’t like how drones stared at her on the street. >To say how she felt like she didn't belong. >But the words stayed stuck at the back of her throat. >Uzi stepped forward, resting a hand on Akita’s cheek.
>“I promise you’ll be safe, okay? >Akita nodded weakly. >Uzi left in a swirl of wings and sparkles of Solver static. >Silence settled in.
>Then J clapped her hands. “Excellent! Bonding time. Let’s go outside.” >“I don’t want to go outside. You're not my mom.” >"Uzi made me the boss, so you to listen to corporate orders." >"Sorry, I've been in dark places lately." >"I guess rebellion run in the family."
>The room fell into awkward silence. >Even J didn’t have a quip for that. >Before she could answer, someone else poked their head through the doorway.
>“J? Are you seriously starting without me?” >"Boss...?" >Akita turned. >A drone tall, silver hair and unmistakably once human. >Yellow eyes bright, posture confident yet gentle. >Tessa. >But not a human anymore.
>Drone-Tessa stepped inside with a soft clank of metal feet. >“Sorry I’m late. J said you needed backup. Or supervision. Or to be a chaperone so she doesn’t eat a child again.” >“I don’t eat children,” J protested. >“I'm on a diet.”
>Tessa ignored her and crouched to Akita’s eye level. >"Aww, aren't you adorable..." >Tessa squeezing Akita cheeks. >“Hi, Akita. I’m Tessa,” she said with a soft smile. >“Uzi told me a lot about you.” >Akita stared at her. >Akita knew a little bit Tessa from her bed time stories but didn't expect her like this. >Is this her chance? >Someone who might understand? >“Do you ever look in the mirror and feel like you’re not supposed to look like that?” >Tessa’s was caught off guard by the sudden question and she gave a weak smile. >“Yeah." >“Every single day.” >J looked between them, confused. >“I'll leave you some personal space” >“No,” Tessa said. >“You stay. That's an order.” >She extended a hand to Akita. >“Actually can we go somewhere quieter?" >"Just us.” >Tessa hesitated. >But she reached out and took Tessa’s metallic hand with her organic one. >“fine.."
>>300731 >The “quiet place” wasn’t anything special. >Just an abandoned ship behind the outpost, half-buried in snow and silent except for the faint hum of distant machinery. No crowds. No drones in it's proximity.
>"I liked it because nobody ever came here." >"Well...except today."
>J marched ahead of them, foot crunching loudly across the frost. >“Perimeter secure Boss!” she announced dramatically. >“No threats, no eldritch anomalies.”
>“Oh, J.” Tessa’s let out a giggle. >“Just stand outside and… I don’t know… secure the snow resources.” >“Oh, gladly...” >"Wait...she actually believes that?" Akita said.
>J marched out and stood guard at the entrance like a sentry who took her job too seriously. >The second she was out of hearing range, the atmosphere softened.
>Tessa gestured toward a crate and sat down. >Akita sat beside her, hugging her knees to her chest. >She didn’t know how to start. >Tessa noticed immediately. >“Oi You’re more awkward at socializing than me mate” she said playfully.
>Akita’s throat tightened. >It was too easy to look at Tessa sleek metal chassis, glowing eyes, perfect drone symmetry and have this ugly feeling she didn't have before. >Jealousy. >She hated that she felt it. >But she did. >“Tessa…?” Akita finally whispered. >“Hm?” >“Why do you look like that?" >"Why do you get to be a drone?” >Tessa blinked. >“Oh. So that’s what this is about?”
>Akita immediately regretted speaking. >“Forget it. It was stupid...” >“No. It wasn’t.” >Tessa placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. >“I can tell when someone’s hurting, Akita. And you are.” >“You were human… and now you’re drone. >You fit here perfectly. >You don’t get stared at. >You don’t get rumors and whispers. >You don’t feel like a mistake.”
>A long silence followed. >Then, unexpectedly Tessa laughed.
>“Oh, Akita… if only you knew.” >“Knew what?” >Tessa leaned back against the crate, staring at the ceiling. >“Do you think I "wanted" this?” she said quietly. >“Do you think I woke up one day and said: Golly, I’d love to lose my body, my humanity, my identity, and get shoved into a metal one?”
>Akita froze. >Tessa continued, voice calm but trembling around the edges. >“I didn’t ask to be turned into a drone. It wasn’t my choice." >“And I miss being flesh every single day.” >"I miss the warm sunlight in my skin, the fragility and flexibility of muscles and I can't eat pickles anymore..."
>Akita stared at her, shocked. >“You’re… jealous of me?” >Tessa nodded. >“But… I’m the one who wants to be like you.” >“And I want to be like you.” >“Flesh, Warm and Alive.”
>“You think you don’t fit because you’re organic in a drone world?” she said gently. >"How did you...?" >"Simple, I didn't fit in a human world when I was human...Ironic." >“But being imprisoned in metal when you were born human? That’s its own kind of dysphoria.” >Akita’s breath hitched. >She had never thought of it that way. >Akita hugs Tessa catching her off guard.
>They returned and Uzi was waiting... >"Where the hell have you been..." >"Did they cause you trouble?" >"I actually enjoyed it, Mom." >"Huh? Fine good job I guess let's return home.."
